PART TWO !!
Tumblr media
such a cute wife (throw me on an island to live in my delusions)
You were quiet, silent most days. Not stepping out of the very thick circle you’d made for yourself consisting of just you.
And yet, still.
Still, the mere thought of keeping to yourself as a permanent transfer student would make even the most daft of people scoff.
You weren’t anything special, you were void of attention, and happy that way. Acted appropriately and left anger at the door. Had nothing and no one to complain to, so why make problems for yourself?
You’re entire life was just floating along your schooling and waiting patiently for the day you left. Even if you were the rare case of “Got transferred half way through the year because the school saw potential!” girl, you’d just wanted to be left to yourself.
But even the premise of that seemed almost impossible now.
Because ever since you were pushed by some rushing kid straight into Miles Morales, tripping him over with you. Him and his asshole friends had made it their life mission to bother you.
“The cute new girl?”
“Yeah, the one that—,” The first boy glanced at Miles. “,—tripped on.”
“Oooh, shit—, She’s fucked.” The other man whispered back, laughing under his breath. You could feel his taunting stare at the back of your head, and when you checked your peripherals, Miles was sending a sickening glare your way.
You sighed.
The ache in your head was probably the only thing keeping you awake.
The day dragging longer than usual had you right about ready to get home and knock yourself out within a minute of being in your bed. Your hand slowly dragged down your face, taking a deep breath and stuffing your jacket somewhere in your locker. The heat of the school mingling with the temperatures the Summer was providing and then adding on the rain from the prior day? You cursed Brooklyn and its humidity. Reaching to close your locker, you finally fit the jacket in the already cramped space. A little piece of the fabric poked out, and you pushed it in while simultaneously trying to keep everything else in too. Pulling a face before you finally managed to get it shut, and slip your finger out before it can get trapped. You turned the key into the dumb metal and scowled at it before pocketing the key and turning to leave.
Being so engrossed in your feud with the locker, you had failed to realise the very man who’d given you this headache, leering over your frame. Turning straight into his chest and reacting in a pained groan, gripping your forehead in displeasure and glaring up at whomever was standing so close to you.
Which happened to be Miles Morales. Staring down at you with cold, dulled eyes.
“What the fuck are you doing, man?” The simmering anger in your voice was made known, and also promptly ignored. He tilted his head down at you, braids shifting with the movement, his expression barely changing. If only he had a conscience. Then maybe you could read his expression, the emotions on his face —, but in this universe? The thought seemed laughable.
He stepped forward, sending you staggering closer against your locker.
“Back off—,” You’re voice shook a little as you swore. Dropping his eyelids into a glare, he spoke, “You keep talkin’ to me like that, and we gon’ have a problem.”
“You keep creeping up on me like a fuckin’—,”
“Like a what?” Miles’s bored, taunting voice grated against your eardrums.
You let out a shaky breath, chest heaving, and clenched your jaw. Shaking out the annoyance in your bones, you kept your calm.
“Don’t get shy on me now.”
A surge of anger rose through you, before you willed it away.
He was antagonising you.
You tried not to instigate him. If you didn’t encourage it, maybe he’d go away.
“Never mind. Whatever, Why—,”
“Miles, my man.” A different man clapped him on the shoulder, giving you the chance to step back and away from him. The other man was tall and lanky, spindly in the way where he looked out of place for a high school. His blue eyes caught sight of you, smirk contorting the bridge of his nose and baring his teeth. “Fuck you doin’ with this thing?”
“What d’you want.” Miles diverted attention from you quick, his companion not getting the hint.
“Fuck, nevermind man,” The man sent a sleezy smile at you, looking you up and down slowly, a short whistle under his breath.
“Shut the fuck up, James.”
You glared are the taller man, something like bile clawing at your throat. The way he was talking about you was sickening, nothing more than a bothersome rodent.
Miles glanced at you, raising a brow, he wanted to see how long it would take before you’d finally fight back. Through the months you’d been at this school, not once had you actually lost your nerve.
On worse days, like this one, you gave him attitude. Snapping at him the moment he showed up, knowing if you didn’t, he’d take the chance too first. He looked forward to those days, where you would engage him. It sent some sick thrill through him. Watching the way your eyes unfocused, urging yourself not to roll them. How your composure surely chipped but never cracked, fingernails digging prints of a fine line when dug into your palms.
He watched your breathing stutter and counted your breaths with you, he’d basically memorised the pattern.
10 beats in, hold for 8, and 12 beats out.
Though, this was only on a good (bad?) day. Other days you just stood and took it. Letting him say whatever he wanted to you, talk shit right to your face. Spread rumours without repercussions and mess with you just because he had the urge.
And just like always. Through the heat of Summer and the full ache in your head, you managed to do nothing.
Just stand and stare as James acted like you were less to a piece of meat.
Miles scowled, dropping his shoulder and causing the man to fall from leaning on him. “Omf— Hey! What the fuck, dude.”
“Let’s go.”
James scoffed, rolling his eyes but following behind nonetheless.
“Miles, what was that shit about?”
“None of your fucking business, homeboy.”
Their voices faded as they walked away, the white noise of chattering people swallowing the scraping of James’s voice.
You wondered what Miles had really wanted this time, as he hadn’t gotten the chance to say anything with James showing up. You hate to thank him, but god. You might’ve lost your mind.
Four months in and you were losing your mind. Miles hadn’t stopped, neither had his determination. He seemed so eager to piss you off and do nothing but stare coldly as you composed yourself every time.
Just as that thought brimmed in your head, something kicked out in front of you, sending you flat on your stomach. Hands pressed into the hardwood of the gym below. You groaned, knees being knocked straight to the ground, landing with your arms outstretched in front of you. At least it wasn’t your face.
A voice was heard behind you and you froze, unsure what to do at that moment.
“Get up, [Name].”
James.
“Yeah, I’m—“ You shuffled back onto your feet. Standing up cautiously and checking your uniform was in place.
“Shut the fuck up.” He interrupted you, and you turned around slowly to face him. “Ever since I made it clear how little you were fucking worth, that dipshit Miles has been a fuckin’ dog to me.” He spat at you, the anger rising in his voice, he gripped the polo shirt you wore, dragging your limp upper half closer to his.
You shivered at his breath on your face, wanting to gag.
“Sorry.”
“You’re a fucking freak—.” His group of even more childish people were standing behind him like some sort of team work movement.
“Please let go.”
“I’ll fucking gut you. I needed that motherfucker—,” “Woah.” “,—He’s lucky I don’t beat his ass for ditching me.” Seems like attachment issues. “And you too, cunt. I’ll end your fucking life.”
He pulled you ever closer, using his height to intimidate you, six foot four of an angry man standing over you, no thanks.
A whistle was heard from the main room of the Gym, prompting James to let go of you.
“You’re lucky you’re a looker, call it pretty privilege.”
“..”
“Next time I’ll fucking kill you.”
You dropped from where you had been dragged onto your toes, stumbling a little as James’s group snickered when they walked past, bumping your shoulder and wolf whistling.
The lesson ended, and you rushed to get out of there. Making your way to the locker room, and being the first in there, also the first to leave. Changing from your sports uniform and rushing out of the Gym.
You kept looking over your shoulder, Knowing that James wasn’t lying. He probably would kill you, or, objectively worse.
You tripped over your feet before righting yourself again. People around sent curious looks to you which you ignored easily.
Getting to the front of the school, glass double doors shut with a “locked” sign on it, you continued to shoulder forward. Ignoring the shout of the office lady, you pushed against the metal bar and opened the door. You’d already known about the doors being unlocked constantly, having seen many times teachers trying to check no one was watching before slyly slipping out. So when the door opened for you with no trouble, you breathed out quick, and booked it.
You praised yourself for the amount of cardio you could do, the school was three stories for goodness sake, the amount of stairs you needed to climb was insane.
You slid to the side, dodging the occasional pedestrian and making it to the main gate, another shout was heard from the front of the school and you slipped out the gate just as it opened for another teacher, thanking them as you passed.
“Thank you!” You shouted as you ran.
“You’re welcome?— Oh..”
“Kid, Get back here!”
The office lady watched you hit the end of the street and turn, no longer in her sight. She threw her hands in the air and sighed.
“I’m going to get fired.”
“No, Marlene. I’ll cover you.”
“Thanks, John.”
“Why were they running, anyway?”
“Dunno, maybe AP exam.”
Miles watched as James was escorted back inside the building. His scowl etched onto his hideous face. Two of their shared buddies trailed behind him, rolling their eyes at the teachers questioning them.
One of the girls in his group was pressing against him, Miles getting more agitated by the minute. His disinterest in her only seemed to fuel her infatuation more, and it was getting annoying.
The guys at his table were all laughing at some—, probably sexist joke one of them made, the ladies giggling along with them, feeding their toxic lovers the attention they so desperately want. It’s not like Miles thought he was above these people. He just was. They were scum, but the only friends he could keep. Hurt people hurt people, and all that sappy shit. So when you hurt so much, only a small portion of people can stand you, and you them.
But when your name was mentioned, he perked up significantly — his ears fine tuning to the conversation. Completely forgetting about the raven-haired girl pressing against him, and focusing on the words spat by James and his two huevos.
“She’s hot though—,”
“Fuckin’ cares ‘f she is? Woulda beat her ass.”
“[Name]?”
“Yeah, [Name]. Miles got all fuckin’ sissy I thought she was hot, and now we don’t talk.”
“So?”
“So—!? Now I lost my chance with Imogen, she’s all fuckin’ over him cause I’m gone.”
Right, Imogen was her name.
“You want to beat her up over you losing a bitch? Just bag her instead?”
James rolled his eyes, debating it. Miles tensed, his relaxed posture straightened quickly, causing him to almost knock Imogen in the face. Too which she squealed at. An awful noise, really.
He quickly stood, chair falling behind him with a loud clang, and strode out of the hall, Glaring at James the entire time. His two friends laughed James’s sudden hesitance to respond, knowing how piss scared he was of Miles.
James stayed silent until the doors to the cafeteria closed, and the whispers started up. Then told his buddies off in a harsh tone.
No one had ever seen Miles do anything too bad. But with the amount of times he’s shown up to school with a busted nose and smug aura, you could tell—, whatever fight he’d had.
He’d won.
To say that Miles wanted to have the day away from school, probably wasn’t true. With the stuff he’d heard James and his dogs speil, he’d rather you not be alone.
He was—, worried.
But when his Uncle Aaron called him in for something urgent right at 4 AM, telling his Ma it was a work emergency, he couldn’t refuse his Uncle. He fit his mask onto him, faceplates slotting closed. Claws being turned and clicked into place, he flexed his hands, dragging the window of his room open in the early morning, and left with his Momma sound asleep.
The peace and quiet of the day had been rather disturbing. Not having Miles or any of his groupies bother you—. Was off, not unwelcome, but odd.
So when the bell rang for your fourth class, everyone heading from their lunch break back to their assigned classes, it was only by nature you’d be pulled into deserted corner of the school by some unknown figure. A hand placed over your mouth and the other gripping your wrist, pulling you back.
You struggled against the mystery person, a sickeningly familiar voice croaking in your ear.
“Be—,” You kicked your head back, knocking his jaw. “,—Fuckin’ bitch, be quiet.”
Your foot slipped under you, bringing him more leverage to haul you further from the light of the main hall.
You screamed through his hand, tears building behind your eyes when you heard a door unlock.
“Get in.”
“Fuckin—, Open it wider, dipshit.”
“Fuck off.”
James ripped his hand off your mouth before you could realise, pushing the middle of your back so you were forced into a dark, cold classroom.
You fell to your knees, a sense of déjà vu kicking in as you braced yourself with your hands.
Your chest heaved, James slamming the door shut.
“Keith, close those blinds.”
“Fuck are you gon’ do?”
“Beat the fuck outta her.”
Miles stuffed his claws somewhere in his locker, uncaring for secrecy. No one was there now, everyone having gone to class. He’d arrived fairly late, not an unusual occurrence considering his occupation, though. So the office ladies didn’t mind.
He slammed his locker shut, an image of you doing the same with a pout on your lips coming to mind. He had class with you now, sat right next to you, actually.
So he made his way towards the back block of the school, where you’d be.
A hit straight to your cheek sent you flying to the floor again, Mathew letting go of where he was holding you up.
“Dude your grip is shit.”
“Nod off.”
Keith muttered something about “Fucking brit..” from his seat on the prior teachers desk.
You groaned internally, eyes lolling to the closed curtains, the broken glass of the window letting in a sweet breeze. The only reprise from this entire ordeal was a broken window.
There’s some poetry in that, or something.
Blood dripped from your nose and lip. A cut on your cheek now present too. James, the creep, had rings on his thin fingers that, when used, hurt to no end.
You were picked back up by under your arms, closing your eyes in pain and hissing. You opened your eyes in time to see the small glint of metal in James’ pocket, and the wince on Keith’s face before another fist connected to your temple.
You weren’t there.
You had shown up to school, evident by your paper on the lecturers desk, but hadn’t shown up for the period.
And by the empty seats of James, Keith and Mathew. He could only guess what was happening right now.
Miles slammed the door to the class shut, ignoring the panicked yells of his teacher and started towards the darker parts of the school. Where no one used, a chemistry accident setting the safety board director deep in debt and a block of the school unusable.
He flung open his locker when close enough, snatching the prototype version of his claws from the locker. Small, sharp finger coverings that were something close to the claws he had for his Prowler suit. The knuckles were brassed and the wrist latch clasped easily to his skin. He slammed it shut again, not bothering with the lock, and honed in his hearing.
The walls were thin enough.
“Don’t you think this is a little too far?”
“Shut the fuck up, Keith.”
“Fuck you gonna do if she snitches—?”
He gripped James’s wrist, holding the knife away from both you and himself.
“—You gon’ ruin your life for this shit, man?”
“She’s been playing my fuckin’ nerves—, yeah.”
Keith gave him a bewildered look while Mathew stared on in disinterest, still holding you at a position you couldn’t right yourself.
The blood had stained your shirt now, bruising littering your face and body.
James had taken to ditching the knife.
“Fuckin—, Whatever man.”
It clattered to the ground with a large clang, the tiled floors of the science room made the echo ring in your head like the growing migraine.
“Drop ‘er.”
Keith glanced down at you, then backed off. An odd look on his face while he kicked the knife away from James, unintentionally pushing it closer to you.
He walked back to his seat.
Mathew let go, watching as you dropped to the ground and started coughing.
Choking on your own blood before you spat it out.
“You know how long i’ve been wantin’ to fucking do this?”
He raised his leg, tilting your chin up with his boot, how demeaning.
He swung back and kicked your ribs, sending you into another coughing fit while you fought the urge to throw up, tears streaming the blood dripping down your chin.
“Your family ruined my fucking life.” Another kick to your stomach, you gagged.
“Taking my dad, then my fucking girl too?”
What is this guy on about.
“Your fucking daddy couldn’t just mind his own business. Had to get involved, then you.”
A harder kick to your stomach, you clenched your abs and covered your head.
A sudden shock ran over you, a familiarity that always sat with James clicking in your mind.
James Ohnn, son of Jonathon Ohnn, a man who had a hand in the collapse of a still-in-construction Kaleidoscope that was said to bring revolutionary science to the new world. It’s framing shattered while the workers on it all went with it.
His father was the lead scientist of that Kaleidoscope, and by turn in of your dad, was promptly arrested.
“I didn’t do shit—,”
“Shut your fucking mouth.”
He kicked your ribs again, and you swore you could feel them crack.
“I’ll kill you, you fucking ruined me.”
He swiped the knife again, Keith shouting something you couldn’t hear amongst the ringing in your ears.
You shut your eyes, crowding your head with your arms.
A slam broke through the muffles of your mind. Panicked voices and accusations being thrown around before a thick accent curled around your head.
Miles Morales.
“I’d get your hands off her if I were you, Homeboy.”
Miles approached slowly, checking your face while keeping his eyes on the three men.
“Fuck off, Miles.”
“No.” His head cocked to the side, eyes slanting while he assessed the situation.
“What, you gonna fight us?”
James’s voice was shaking. He’d never seen Miles looks o absolutely pissed before.
“Don’t think I can, asshole?”
“It’s three against one.”
“Realmente piensas—, sabes que, no importa.”
Miles lunged at him, Keith and Mathew shouting in tandem while you struggled to keep your eyes open. The pain working its way past your adrenaline and into your bones.
He grabbed James by the wrist, twisting it back and listening to the sickening crunch of his Lunate bone in curious satisfaction. James screamed, trying to tear his hand away from Miles. Even with his right hand pulling too, he wouldn’t budge. The metal clicked together every time James shifted, and Miles gave an extra squeeze before letting go. The force James was pulling sending him flying back, he stumbled and tripped over your feet, falling back and smashing his head on the tiles.
The other two boys scrambled for the door, running out the hallway and whining like dogs.
James groaned, rolling onto his stomach, Miles deadpanned down at him. You watched through blurry vision as Miles picked his up, sat him against the teachers desk, almost slumped against it. Grabbed his hair by his crown, slowly bringing his head forward, bending him at the waist. Before slamming his head back against the wood with a dull thud. He repeated this sick, prolonged process until James had fallen unconscious. Standing over him, then going to grab the knife laid a bit from you. You looked at him from your position, not unthankful, but still—, he was evidently a contributor.
“Don’t move.”
“Wha— Why? I have to get home.”
Miles scoffed, crouching down next to you, knife in hand. His limp wrists resting on his bent knees.
“You gonna’ go home with a cracked rib and busted face? Nah, Chiquita. Vente conmigo, yo te arreglo.”
He stuffed the pocket knife down the side of his Nikes and took off his claws, putting them in the pocket of his jacket.
He hooked his arm under your knees and upper back, cradling you bridal style before standing to his full height.
You panicked a little— “Wha—, No. Miles, put me down.”
“No.”
“Hh— Whatdyu’ mean ‘No’!?”
You hooked your hands over his shoulders and gripped him as he made his way through the back exit of the school.
“I said, I’m taking you home.”
You groaned in pain, shirt lifted to just under your bra line as Miles assessed the damage.
He had been joking when he said cracked rib, but there was an underlying sense of real possibility. According to him though, nothing had been enough to seriously injure you. Except the disgusting looking bruises littering yourself.
You tried to focus away from the pain. Or Miles in general, he was very distracting, the lingering attraction you had when you met thought to be squished, was bubbling up again.
He had an ice pack pressed to your skin, and if you were a tad less conscious, maybe you would’ve made a joke of how cold his hands already were. The sweltering heat doing nothing to soothe the bruising.
“Keep this here.”
“Yes, sir.”
“Watch the attitude.”
You huffed a breath, laugh being painful.
“Yeah, whatever.”
You shifted yourself to alleviate some pain, and took his place holding the pack on your stomach.
He grabbed an anti-septic from the small kit he had for first aid. When he’d pulled it out earlier, you’d questioned it.
“You get injured women on your room often, Miles?”
“Nah, Just you. Usually they can take care of ‘emselves.”
You’d giggled at that, not entirely offended but more so amused he’d decided not to take offence at your jab.
His hands reaching for your face brought you back to the present. Flinching back in surprise, you watched him watch for a moment. “Chill, ma. Just gon’ put this on your cuts. Needa’ touch your face for that.”
You cringed, the twisting of your lip having you suck in a harsh breath. “Yeah—, yeah, okay. Thanks.”
“Mhmm.”
The callouses in his hands were made known the moment he touched you, spreading the cream along the cut on your brow, cheekbone and lip.
His hands were a nice contrast compared to the heat of your cheeks, and the gentleness at which he was using.
When Miles touched your face, leaning his body closer to yours, he wanted to savour the feeling. The softness of your flesh against his own, how he could trace the contour of your cheek without it being awkward. His thumb rubbed a small amount of cream onto your lip and he couldn’t look away. The sight of your blood stained skin under his blemished hands had him stuck in the moment. Unable to answer her last question.
“Miles?”
The way her lips formed around his name sent a burning heat throughout his body.
“Yeah—.”
“Is my lip okay? ‘M I gonna need stitches?”
You poured up at him and he shook his head. “No.”
“Mmh— Okay.”
You looked to the side, addressing his room and Miles watched the way your eyelashes brushed along your cheeks when you blinked.
“Okay, just this left. Gonna be a little cold.”
“Thank you.”
“No stress, Chiquita.”
He grabbed some petroleum jelly, spreading it along the cuts on your face and moisturising the wound.
He then placed adhesive bandages along the places necessary, and placed everything back into his first aid.
“Miles.”
“Yeah, Mami?”
You paused at the name, he’d been using those a lot lately.
“How’d you know to find me?”
He looked down, shuffling up next to you against the headboard. You gazed out the window, ignoring the tension that was eating at the both of you. He did too.
“Gut feeling.”

Y/n sat before the summoning circle as she lit the las candle. It was a Friday and she was bored, what else was she supposed to be doing besides following some probably fake spell she found in a book she'd thrifted? She took after her mother in that regard but had wound up with her fathers rather flamboyant personality.
"Now, what are those words..." she mumbled to herself, turning the odd slip of paper the spell had been written on over.
Her eyes glazed over them and she cleared her throat.
"Spirits from beyond, I call you Lucifer, who first cursed us, I call you to me. Lucifer, who commands the legions of the dead, I summon you from the last plane to the first. Lucifer, wicked, heartless beast, I bring you to your knees before me. Spirits from beyond, I call you!"
Y/n looked up from the paper in excitement, a look which quickly dimmed as absolutely nothing happened before her eyes. She turned back to the paper, squinting to read the cramped letters.
"Okay, wait. Theres another name here. Uh, spirits from beyond, I call you. Alastor, keeper of the dark defeat, I call you to me. Alastor, demonic overlord, I summon you from the last plane to the first. Alastor, both hunter and hunted, I bring you to your knees before me. Spirits from beyond, I call you."
Again, her work failed to yield any results. Y/n stayed seated for a moment, waiting. When it was clear to her that the spell had not in fact done it's job, she sighed and got to her feet.
"Well that was a waste of a half hour."
She turned on the lights before leaning forward and grabbing the nearest candle. With a short breath of air, she blew it out only, somehow, all the candles seemed to go out as she did this, even the scented one on the shelf that hadn't been involved in the ritual.
"Oh there is no way." Y/n smiled, anticipation bubbling in her chest, "There is literally no way!"
The lights began to flicker as she placed the candle she was holding on the desk. The minute it hit the table's surface, the room fell into a short spell of darkness. As the lights flickered back on, Y/n saw two men standing in the center of the circle.
Well, men was a strong word. They were both humanoid in shape but, neither really looked like people. They looked around the room in shock, taking in every detail before their eyes landed on each other.
The taller of the two demons, the one all in red and holding an old fashioned looking microphone, widened his already close to horrific smile. The smaller one, dressed in all white, narrowed his eyes.
"You." the man in white sighed, crossing his arms, "Of course I had to get summoned with you."
"There is literally no way." Y/n exclaimed, cutting off the red demon as he opened his mouth to speak.
Both men turned to Y/n, in her black dress with her wide excited eyes.
"Ah." the red demon hummed, his voice coming out like radio static as he straightened his jacket, "You must be the one who summoned us. I am Alastor, quite the pleasure to meet you. Yes, quite the pleasure."
Y/n turned her gaze to the demon in white.
"So that means you must be Lucifer. It is such an honor to meet you."
"Huh." Lucifer smiled slightly, "Now that's more like it. Wait, you're not one of those freaks, are you?"
"Freaks?" Y/n asked, her head cocked slightly to the side and her brow furrowed.
"One of those oh! You brought evil to the world! You're my idol people." Lucifer imitated animatedly.
Alastor shot him an irritated look as Y/n's eyes widened and she shook her head.
"No no no! They have it all wrong. You didn't bring evil, you gave us the greatest gift of all. You have us free will, self determination. The ability to be exactly who we are and want to be."
Lucifer turned to Alastor, crossing his arms over his chest with a self satisfied smile.
"Oh I like her. Pretty and she knows her stuff?"
Y/n blushed slightly, looking away. She clasped her hands behind her back. Alastor didn't like that.
"Yes, quite the charming girl indeed." he hummed through gritted teeth, meeting Y/n's eyes.
"And Alastor..." she put a finger to her lip in thought, "Alastor... I am really sorry, I don't mean to be disrespectful, but I don't think I have ever heard of you before."
His eye twitched and Lucifer's grin widened.
"Well, my dear, I just so happen to be one of the most powerful overlords in all the rings of Hell."
"Huh. Neat."
"So, what have you called us here to do?" Lucifer asked amiably.
"Oh, well, I hadn't really though that far. Um..." she looked around the space of her room.
There wasn't anything she really wanted. Y/n had a comfortable life, a loving family. Anyone she wanted revenge on she was more than capable of taking care of on her own. Mostly, she was just bored.
Nodding her head once, she walked up to the edge of the summoning circle and promptly sat down. Her legs crossed, she adjusted the long skirt of her dress over her knees.
"Let's just chat."
Alastor and Lucifer exchanged a confused look.
"You are going to have to ask us for something, my dear." Alastor hummed pleasantly, "Otherwise we wont be able to go home. That's how this little game works, after all."
"So, I am asking you to chat. Do you guys want any drinks or something?"
With a shrug to Alastor, Lucifer sat down on the floor with his legs crossed as well. With a reluctant sigh, Alastor followed suit.
"So, what is Hell like?" Y/n asked eagerly, "Is it dark and full of bugs? It can't really be all fire and lava pits like all the art says. I mean, Dante's version of Hell makes more sense than that. Oh my gosh, is there a suicide forest? I always loved that idea, that they turn into trees. That they get the most peaceful of the options, is it real?"
"Well, there are trees." Lucifer began carefully.
"But they are not made of people's souls. No, it's actually rather close to this world down below." Alastor finished for him.
"Really? You guys have like jobs and stuff?"
"Some of us do. I am actually currently involved in a project helping to rehabilitate sinners. 'Check out of Hell and into Heaven,' that's the whole idea of the thing."
"Like you actually believe in that." Lucifer scoffed and Alastor raised a hand to his chest in false ofence.
"You... are you questioning my motives?"
"Not cool man." Y/n shook her head, "That sounds like a pretty cool project, I didn't even know something like that was possible."
Before Alastor could reply, Lucifer cut in.
"It is my daughter's project, and we aren't actually sure its possible yet."
"You have a daughter!? Is she the antichrist?"
"We-"
"Charlie Morningstar is her name." Alastor interrupted Lucifer, "And she is quite powerful. Talented too."
Lucifer turned to Alastor, glaring at him.
"Don't start this shit again."
"It's not my fault I've been there for her more than you have."
"It's more complicated than that."
"Sure it is."
At a sudden peal of bell like laughter from Y/n, the demons stopped their bickering and turned to her. She held a hand over her mouth as she tried to calm herself.
"Are you guys always like this?"
Lucifer and Alastor exchanged another look before nodding. Y/n lowered her hand, still smiling brightly.
"Maybe I'll ask you to stick around."
"You... aren't like a lot of other humans I've met in my time." Lucifer admitted.
"Strange and unusual."
"What?" Lucifer asked.
Y/n shrugged.
"That's how most people describe me. Strange and unusual. Or wonderously strange, if you ask my dad."
"Well, there is nothing wrong with that." Alastor hummed, "Strange and unusual is the best way to be. Keeps things interesting."
"Oh, no. I know. I didn't mean it in like a sob-story way. Just like, that's how I am. I don't know."
"Not a lot of people summon us. Especially not just to chat." Lucifer stated and Y/n smiled.
"What can I say, I was bored."
"You summoned us because you were bored?" Alastor repeated, his brow furrowed.
"Yeah. My friends were all busy and I love my parents but I do not love being around them on their Friday date nights let me tell you. The dancing is cute but the sword fighting when some old flame of my mother's shows up as they do every couple months? Terribile. Nothing blocks out the clang of steel against steel."
"Sounds like you come from a rather interesting family." Lucifer noted.
"Strange and unusual. I don't come from nowhere."
"Well, aren't you a gem in this dull world." Alastor mused and Y/n looked away, her cheeks slightly flushed again.
"I don't know about that, but I certainly try. Oh! Do you guys like bones? I don't know, is that a dumb question? Was it rude? Racist? Wait. Hell-cist? No that feels wrong too."
Lucifer chuckled slightly.
"Why do you ask?"
"I have a pretty big selection. Mostly deer bones."
Alastor's ears twitched.
"Deer bones?"
"Yeah." she nodded, "We eat a lot of venison at home and ever since I was a kid, my dad let me keep the bones to do projects with and the like. I have a lovely wind chime I made using parts of a spine but, sadly, its at my parents house."
"Strange and unusual." Alastor hummed.
"Strange and unusual." Y/n nodded.

The former noble turned galactic nomad sighed as he stared out at the endless darkness littered with twinkling stars that maybe was a part of another system. It wasn’t that he found his life on the spaceship boring, in fact, he wouldn’t have had it any other way.
When his childhood best friend and also former crowned prince of their home planet, Jupiter, showed up after a year of escaping and denying the future laid out for him by the King, he had to know what he was up to. He had to talk to him and hear all about the life outside their planet and without the protection of their standing, the dangers, the perils, the thrill of the unknown and more.
Wooyoung then had not believed that his best friend, glowing with the freedom he had given himself, was right there in the bustling city’s downtown market. He had thought he had hallucinated and mistook the cloaked figure to be someone else but when his feet carried him to follow him, he was able to confirm that it was indeed his best friend.
Their reunion gave Wooyoung a chance at the same freedom Yeosang had sought after and a chance at meeting the band of brothers that he found that shared the same ideals. On his own volition without even consulting the Captain of the crew that Yeosang had become a part of, he decided that he was going with his best friend. Plus, what better way to create a reputation for himself as former noble turned space pirate? He liked how that sounded.
Which leads us now to the present…
Now he was part of one of the most revered and hunted group of pirates of the galaxy. Not what he had in mind really but he liked the life. The thrill, the danger and the excitement of it all. The not being told to act a certain way nor have his whole life planned to every second.
Was he buddy buddy with a bunch of rogue, violent and defiant pirates? Yup. He was one now too and the crew were like his brothers.
Sure he’s only known them for six months but there’s only so much you could do in a ship when you travel from one planet to the next, never ever really having a permanent dock. The ship was their home, his home…and the members of this crew were friends that he felt he was fated to meet.
But he hasn’t met one person of the crew…and he didn’t know that.

“Woo. Wake up. ” A firm hand shook him by the shoulder “We just docked at Xileon.” The calm and pleasing voice of their youngest slowly being heard in his ears as he gained consciousness.
“X-Xileon?” Wooyoung muttered, brows furrowing as his eyes blinked and squinted, adjusting to the soft light coming from his open door.
“Yeah, little fun rest stop. Well fun for me,” Jongho chuckled, excited to see all the cool technology and city life Xileon offered. He’s only ever been once when he had been an apprentice. Xileon was every science, engineering and tech geeks favorite planet, other than that the bustling fun night life it offered attracted all kinds of travelers across the galaxy. “C’mon, Captain says we’re free to do what we want while he contacts one of his informants.”
“What if I want to sleep, Jongho?” Wooyoung whined, sitting up despite his words.
“I know you’re always up for a party.”
“Now where did you hear that from?”
“Yeosang.” He shrugged, getting up from the edge of Wooyoung’s bed. “Come on, everyone’s going .” He clapped the raven haired man on the back, the impact making a little ‘oof’ escape Wooyoung.
“Yeah…yeah,” Wooyoung made a face, rubbing the back of his neck as he woke up. “I’ll be there…just wait a bit. Let me freshen up.”
“Don’t make us wait too long,” Jongho’s lips pursed in a childlike way, making Wooyoung chuckle a bit. As strong and intimidating as Jongho was, he was still their youngest and had an inner child that came out now and then.
“I won’t…I don’t want an earful from you anyways,” he snickered, playfully jabbing at him.
Jongho glared at him before leaving.
Xileon was a colorful fluorescent modern, futuristic jungle of a planet. The most high tech flying vehicles and motorcycle cruisers sped by the roads and streets, the avant-garde and neo-futuristic skyscrapers and buildings glimmered during the lively evenings of *Night City*. Clubs and the grandest of parties happened every night. The pounding music, the flashing lights and glittering champagne, and the vast choices of alcoholic concoctions called many for a good time but underneath all of that, it provided many individuals a guise to have dealings of a far more less than lawful nature.
If you’re lucky, Night City’s police would turn a blind eye. Just make sure you don’t get caught or were one of the most hunted wanted individuals of the galaxy.
Luckily for ATEEZ, they were never really caught…except for that one really disappointing and poor depiction of Mingi’s profile that was being plastered in every back alley or lamp post. It was a good thing it looked nothing like him and that that day, Mingi had been wearing an oversized leather cowboy hat that casted a shadow over his eyes so the wanted poster was practically useless. All Mingi had to do was not wear that hat ever again…he grumbled about it for a bit but he had let it go eventually.
The eight men stood in line for one of the top venues to experience the night life the city offered.
While their Captain and First Mate were here to do conduct business, the rest decided to enjoy the establishment as well as make sure they were there should anything go south. But as they entered, guided by a bouncer with a metallic high tech prosthetic arm, Hongjoong dressed in an exquisite Aegean velvet suit tailored to his frame like a glove, turned to them once more to remind them that this whole affair was likely not to be any trouble.
“Don’t worry too much and try to enjoy yourselves,” he ran his fingers through his dyed azure hair before adjusting the lapels of his blazer, some tipsy club goers passing by to leave eyed their captain’s slightly exposed skin. The rest of them garnered looks as well the more they walked into the place, the music pounding and colored lights flashing. “If anything,” he tapped by his ear, earrings glimmering as they’re caught in the lights, the little communication device Jongho fashioned for them hidden behind his and their earlobes. “I’ll call you.”
“But, really, please do enjoy yourselves.” Seonghwa smiled, raven dark hair sweeping perfectly to frame his handsome face. “We rarely get days like these. Have fun.”
The newest addition to their crew grinned like a cat who got the cream, eyes looking over the dance floor with a glint of mischief and the full intent to indulge himself in pleasures he was used to having. “Don’t worry, Seonghwa. I plan to do just that.” He winked at the women who looked his way.
“Oh, he’s in his element.” Yeosang chuckled, throwing an arm over his best friend. “Don’t get into that kind of trouble, Woo.”
“It’s trouble they want anyways.”
“Were you always this cocky?” Mingi’s nose scrunched up at his friend’s obnoxiously flirty behavior.
“Don’t act like you’re not a flirt when you want to be.” Yunho teased the crew’s gunner, poking his side.
“I know I said to have fun,” Hongjoong spoke as they made their way through the spread wide and lively establishment, passing several tables, booths and private rooms. “But do behave.”
That was their last exchange with the group before Seonghwa and him continued down towards the part of the club with another set of bouncers that led to the private and premium rooms. Straight to business while the rest stood by the railings that overlooked the dance floor and bar below, eyeing what entertainment tonight had to offer each of them.
“You’re awfully quiet.” Jongho turned to San, their agent, who stayed close to them, rather protectively, almost like a bodyguard. His posture was straight yet elegant with an air of quiet and unquestionable confidence, almost making one think that he may have come from royalty.
“Places like these…” San’s cat like eyes scanned the room, processing possible exits and blind spots. “Can’t be too careful.”
“Maybe some alcohol in your system will help loosen you up.” Wooyoung came to his side, eyes on the dance floor eying for a partner for one night, the ocean of people reminding him of the days he’d sneak out his father’s manor to party with the other elites.
“He doesn’t hold his liquor well,” Jongho stated, crossing his arms over his chest, a group of what seemed to be innovators, inventors and scientists out to have a good time catching his eye as one of them boasted their interactive hologram that displayed a model of an advanced hover cycle. “I’ll be doing some mingling.” He clapped Yeosang on his back as he made his way to the group cooly while simultaneously getting a shot from a hostess passing by.
“Seems like he’s done this before. Not so baby as I thought he was,” Wooyoung hummed with narrow eyes, watching Jongho easily join the groups conversation and a random woman sizing him up flirtatiously.
“We should get a table,” Yeosang suggested.
“A booth.” San inputted. “Specifically in that corner.” He gestured with a tilt of his head to the far right corner of the dance floor below. “I can keep an eye on things there better.”
“To give Sannie some peace of mind, we should follow his request.” Yunho placed his hands on their agents broad and stiff shoulders.
“I’ll get us drinks.” Mingi decided, heading down the aesthetically pleasing steps to the bar. His tall, muscular figure was clad in a fitting white shirt with sleeves rolled to his elbows topped with a vest that cinched at his waist, boasting his defined v-tapered back. Little did the people who gave him double takes knew, beneath the leg of his trousers, strapped to his ankle was a knife and at the back of the waistband was a gun.
With Yeosang’s charm, the boys were able to secure the corner table booth that was a bit further away from the dance floor, it was private and one that definitely were for VIPs. What they liked was that it was close enough to where the party was but far enough that they can speak to one another while the music drummed at a less overwhelming volume. San sat took his spot on the dark violet cushioned seat that gave him a view of all the exits and entrances and for now, since it was just the start of a long fun night, they decided to have a couple of drinks and some food while enjoying each others company and the music.
“You need to relax,” Wooyoung tutted at San, unbuttoning another button of his shirt to expose more of his honey skinned chest. “When was the last time you fucked, huh?” He asked the former assassin.
“W-what?” San stuttered, eyes growing wide and ears tinting pink at the sudden question. For such an intimidatingly handsome man, he sure flustered easily.
Yunho looked over at San with concern, the last time San had been with anyone…was before Wooyoung had joined the crew…before—
“You never really told me your type?” Wooyoung wiggled his groomed brows, relaxing in his seat as he watched people dance, bodies pressing against one another, some fitting perfectly and rolling in tandem with whomever they danced with.
Yeosang quietly observed his friends, savoring each sip of his drink and mindful of their interactions.
“I-I don’t have a type.” San murmured, reaching for a glass from the tray Mingi returned with, who settled next Yunho on the other end of the couch.
“San’s not really the sleeping around kind of person,” Mingi’s deep voice almost melded with the low hum of the bass music.
“And you are?” Wooyoung scoffed at their gunner, his newly dyed pink hair catching the eyes of those that passed by them.
“Pleasure is pleasure,” Mingi shrugged his broad shoulders, ringed fingers cradling his whiskey sour. “But,” he reached for one of the thinner silver chains around his neck. He pulled out a specific one with a pendant. “I’m a loyal man.”
San stared at the pendant, a wave of melancholy washing over him as he recalled memories of who that butterfly pendant belonged to and who it signified.
“You’ve got someone?” Wooyoung’s interest was piqued immediately, forgetting the women he had been eying across the dance floor and now staring at the pendant that Mingi displayed proudly and pressed to his lips.
His smirk was answer enough for Wooyoung.
“It must be hard for them.”
Yeosang tilted his head. “Why’d you think that?”
“Because we’re rebels, bandits/pirates? Shall I go on and list the colorful achievements of our crew? Plus,” he turned his gaze to the dance floor, locking with a pair of eyes so magnetic that even behind the intricate lace masque she wore, just a small moment had him looking for them when he lost it. “Isn’t it cruel to make her wait?”
Mingi’s reaction caught Wooyoung off guard. He scoffed with a slight amused smirk on his face, as if what Wooyoung had said was funny.
“She’s not doing all the waiting.” San spoke without thinking before Mingi could reply, his eyes transfixed on the pendant until it disappeared back beneath Mingi’s shirt. His eyes returned to observe the happenings around him.
Wooyoung wondered what San meant but he didn’t have enough time to think much of it when another round of drinks arrived.
As the night progressed, the drinks emptied were quickly refilled and Wooyoung danced, mingled and flirted like he did back in his old life. Seonghwa and Hongjoong after having met with their informants had joined them at their table, while Wooyoung and even Yeosang danced, the rest deciding to play a game of pool.
Wooyoung was not blind to the wandering eyes that were on him and his very attractive crew members. Many flirted with them but it was never more than that. His friends entertained their advances but were quick to turn them down when they asked or suggested for more.
But he didn’t worry much about it, not when he was searching for that pair of eyes he locked with earlier. Where was she? He would catch glimpses of her now and again but she was always a distance away from him, and every time he tried to head to her direction and he lost her in his peripheral, she was gone.
Was he hallucinating ? He wasn’t even that drunk.
Soft fingers brushed the nape of neck, nails scraping delightfully on his skin. He knew what that meant. Grinning and letting himself go, he turned to entertain another flirty party goer, only to meet the masked beauty he was searching for all night.
Sporting what clearly was a shoulder length pink bob wig with bangs, her eyes were hidden behind a white lace masque and she wore the most alluring Mona Lisa smile that haunted his mind since he had seen her.
Wooyoung with his experiences back in his and Yeosang’s home planet, girls like her, like you, who came to happenings like this dressed almost incognito, meant that you were here for a very good time that not even your identity can be disclosed.
He smirked and placed his hands on your waist, pleasantly surprised to feel warm skin against his palms. With how packed the dance floor was, he couldn’t really get a good look of your outfit but from what he could see, you wore a bejeweled bralette with straps that were lined with tiny crystals and brushing over his knuckles as you both swayed were long beaded shimmering strings hanging by the band.
So who were you? Some elite socialite whose reputation was too good to ruin in a scene like this? A noble like he was looking for a good time? A princess of some other planet?
“Hey,” your sultry voice, like honey to his ears. “My eyes are up here.”
Your arms hung over his shoulders, giving the handsome stranger a quick look down as if you hadn’t been observing him all night.
The buttons of his black silk dress shirt revealed his toned chest, honey skin glistening with a thin sheen of sweat beneath the party lights and his pretty neck was wrapped in a matching silk black choker with the extra fabric dangling in a classy fashion.
“And mine are up here too,” he teased back and pulled you against him. “I’ve been looking for you.”
“Oh?” Glossy pink lips stretched into a smirk and shimmering eyes locked with his. “And why would you be doing that?”
“Because I’ve decided,” he turned you around, his hands on your hips keeping you in place against his own as the two of you danced to the music. His lips were hot against your ear while your hand rested on the back of his neck, rolling your hips sensually. Wooyoung smirked against your ear.
You wanted him just as much as he did.
“That you’re mine for the evening.”
“Yeah?” You tilted your head slightly to give him access to your neck, your eyes falling to his group of friends by the pool table.
“Not everyone gets that privilege, baby.” He husked, brushing his soft and hot lips along the column of your neck, breathing in your addicting scent.
Wooyoung wasn’t sure if it was the alcohol and the heat of the dancing crowd that was getting him so easily riled up but something about your aura was so magnetic and intoxicating. Was it because he hasn’t slept with anyone since he left Jupiter?
“Well aren’t you arrogant.” You raked your nails through his hair, shivers going down his spine and sending pulsing heat to his crotch. “Was that supposed to flatter me?”
His eyes shut at the delicious sensation of your touch. He wanted to get you alone, heck, he would have you on the dance floor if he could. He almost forgot how good it was to fuck after months of traveling the galaxy. He wanted to fuck. He wanted you.
“Don’t lie to yourself and say you’re not.” He brushed his lips on your earlobe, his hot breath against your ear and the way his hands roamed your body felt good.
God, how did his friends put up with his cocky flirty attitude?
“Is that what you want me to do?” You rolled your hips against his, completely aware of the growing hardness pressed against your ass as he ground his hips to the music. “Lie?”
“Trust me sweetheart, there’s many things I want you to do.”
“And what are those things?” You purred whilst tugging at his hair, your voice and your gesture spurring his desire further.
He gripped your hips tighter and lowered his lips to your neck, to the spot just below your ear. He pulled you closer to his body to feel the heat of your form on his own before letting his hands roam freely again, feeling the exposed skin beneath the beaded strings that teased every spectators eyes.
“I want you,” he growled against your skin, pressing his lips just a little bit. “Legs spread apart with my head between your thighs.”
The warmth of his hot lips and the lust in his words undeniably sent heat to your core, and the image he painted with his words was so tempting. Plus, the fact that that was his response set him apart from other men. Usually the response you’d get were more about their pleasure never yours.
You hummed at the thought before turning around to face him and meet his eyes. He wore that flirtatious grin and his eyes were blown with lust. They had a look in them that you found so sexy, you couldn’t help but play a little.
“You’re very bold.”
“I’m honest.”
“And what’s an honest man such as yourself doing here?” You caressed his cheekbone with a gentleness that made Wooyoung’s heart skip a beat.
“What do you know about honest men?”
“Well for one, they don’t spend their time in a place like this.” You swayed to the beat closer to him. “Secondly, an honest man always ends up with an honest woman. I’m far from honest.”
“Then maybe we’re just two dishonest people.”
He watched your pretty lips stretch into an endearing grin, their glossiness and plumpness pulling him closer to you.
“Maybe we are.” Your sweet breath fanned over his lips, your foreheads touching, so dangerously close.
“I wonder what you taste like.” His thumbs caressed the skin of your waist.
You grazed your lips over his just a little and Wooyoung could get a little taste of cherry from the gloss you wore while you slid a hand between the two of you. Your fingertip brushed along the exposed skin of his chest then the silk of his button up shirt before they lingered at the waistband of his trousers. Before he could even think about pressing his lips on yours, you turned your cheek and leaned in his ear. Your right hand skimmed over the hardness of his crotch, making a cute little gasp escape the strikingly handsome man.
His cock twitched beneath your teasing touch.
“Like heaven,” you purred.
His forehead fell on your shoulder as he bit his lip, holding back a moan as you palmed him through his pants.
“But…” your touch left his hardened member, the loss of friction making him groan. “Not everyone gets that privilege.” You echoed his words back to him.
Before he could react, his head dizzy and spinning from both the alcohol and your hot touch, you slithered your way through the crowd.
His eyes watched the pink of your hair amongst the dancing and close proximity of people. You headed to the back, to the dark red velvet decorated motif which was below the second floor where the premium private rooms were. You nodded at the two bouncers who guarded the velvet draped entrance, who smiled back at you.
Did you work here?
Before you disappeared behind the curtains to what he assumed was the private entertainment rooms, you casted him one last glance. It was like you were telling him to follow.
Wooyoung wasn’t the type to be whipped by just anyone. He knew what was worth his time or not but with you, he wasn’t even thinking. His feet moved on their own to follow you like he was under some spell.
“Hey, I found you.”
Jongho entered his peripheral.
“Huh?”
“Captain said his informant got us a private room as a treat.” Jongho’s hand on his shoulder started to guide him through the crowd, towards the dark glowing red area.
“For what?”
“For taking care of the man who was his competition. Even though that wasn’t our intention.”
Wooyoung frowned, adjusting his pants to hide his erection. Not really how he wanted to spend the rest of his night but if Captain calls, you do not make him call twice.
“Ugh,” he ran his hands through his hair, missing and imagining your touch. “Fine.”
If he was lucky, he was going to find you…
Tumblr media
“This is…odd.” San spoke, sat on the curved plush couch between Yeosang and Mingi of the rather compact red room with just enough space for ten people.
“Why is that?” Jongho asked, pouring himself another drink, the golden liquid in his glass like honey.
Hongjoong made himself comfortable at his spot on the left curve of the couch, legs crossed classily as his eyes stared at the empty little platform in the center of the room, the silver pole glowing cause of the mood lights..
“Isn’t entertainment like this supposed to be for one set of eyes?” San wondered out loud.
It’s not that he hasn’t ever experienced this before. He has. It’s just more private when it’s him and the performer. He never thought of doing an activity with his friends…though they have indulged in some acts on the ship when a certain someone was around.
“Yeosang and I used to do this all the time,” Wooyoung shrugged nonchalantly, making his best friend’s eyes widen at how he threw that info out so easily. “Oh c’mon, they don’t care about your Perfect Prince Yeosang reputation.”
Mingi chuckled at their interaction and Wooyoung narrowed his eyes at his friend.
“Why are you here? Aren’t you a loyal man? Now I feel even sadder for your girlfriend.”
“I’m not worried about that,” Mingi pushed his black shades up higher to shield his eyes. “I am a loyal man cause no matter what, no one can compare to her. I wouldn’t be in this room if Captain’s informant wasn’t a dickhead who will take offense if not all of us accepts his ‘treat’.”
“Also, this club has a policy of not touching the dancers unless they consent,” Seonghwa added. “We just enjoy the show the lovely lady assigned to us will put on, tip her extra and that’s it.”
“And we can’t just leave why?” San sighed, leaning back and crossing his arms over his chest.
“Because the informants goons will report back to him if we turn down his gift,” Yunho explained, knowing the character of that rich man all too well. “Hongjoong still needs to be on his good side til he gets information of the location of the Cromer.”
A soft knock on the door silenced them and all that could be heard now was the vibrating hum of the music that played in the room.
“Boys,” Hongjoong spoke lowly, casting them a glance. “Play nice.”
Jongho raised his glass at that, leaning back into the other end of the curved seat.
“Good evening, gentlemen.”
Wooyoung stopped breathing. No fucking way.
Too lost in his own surprise of coincidence, he wasn’t able to catch the way his crew mates interest were suddenly piqued.
With you only being the one standing, Wooyoung was able to see you in your full glory. The purple lilac bralette bedazzled with sequins cupped your breasts so perfectly and the crystal beaded strings caught the fluorescent light in a way that made you shimmer and appear like a goddess. Behind the curtain of beads, all of them could see your naked skin but compared to when Wooyoung had danced with you earlier, the silk mini skirt you wore was gone.
Feeling all their eyes on you, you smiled coyly at their Captain, stepping your foot onto the circle platform in the middle of the room, showing off the skin of your legs that were elongated by your silver heels.
“Shall I get started then?” You asked, running a finger from your ankle to the purple garter on your thigh, aware of how their eyes followed the trail of your chrome lilac painted nails.
“It’s you.” Wooyoung breathed out, eyes tracing the waistband of the sorry excuse of an underwear that matched your bralette. It was tiny and flimsy, and almost left nothing to the imagination, except for what your pussy would look like. Wooyoung wanted to know.
Yunho glanced at his friend. How did he know you?
“Oh? Well if it isn’t, Mr. Arrogant.” You gracefully stepped your whole body onto the platform, circling around the pole while playing with the little crystal studded purse you brought with you.
Your words made Jongho chuckle.
“You work here?” It was a dumb question, Wooyoung knew that.
“What does it look like?” You shrugged your shoulders cutely before throwing your tiny purse to the curved platform behind them where you could play around some more if you wanted to.
“How long have you been working here?” Hongjoong asked, taking your attention from Wooyoung.
Smiling his way, you slowly sunk to your knees and ran your hand on your left thigh where your purple lace garter was.
The man before you smirked knowing what you were silently telling him.
Hongjoong dug into the inner pocket of his blazer and in between his fingers was a 50 Zaire bill. He leaned forward and without touching your skin, slipped the bill beneath the garter.
“Three months.” You answered him, sensually getting up to lean against the pole with your arms over your head, elongating your body for their viewing pleasure.
“I like your wig.” Jongho commented, eying you with a knowing gaze.
“Thank you.”
Wooyoung watched as you moved seductively on the pole, unaware of how San became completely relaxed and excited at the same time.
“Does all of this turn you on?” Wooyoung asked, eyes raking your body and feeling his throat dry at how drawn he was to you.
“Sometimes.” You purred nonchalantly, bending over a little to show the arch of your pretty back before expertly twirling around the pole.
“Earlier…were you lying to me?” He leaned forward, elbows on his thighs as he tried to meet your gaze.
“No.” You replied, locking eyes with the man in the middle whose hair matched your wig.
He lowered his shades close to the end of his nose, his eyes locking with yours and sending a shiver down your spine.
“You’re a good dancer. I had fun.” You admitted still looking at the tall man before you even though you were addressing Wooyoung.
“Are you having fun now?” San asked, surprising Wooyoung that he was interacting with you, his cat like eyes set on you and no one else.
“Because I’m here with eight handsome men rather than the sleazy ones? Yes I’m having fun.” You stepped your heel onto the plush couch, the men making space for you as you stood between Mingi and Wooyoung, your gaze down at Mingi who looked at you with stars in his eyes while the one behind you, going crazy with desire let his eyes wander.
Placing your hand delicately on Mingi’s shoulder, you slowly bent over, giving Wooyoung and Jongho the view of the back of your legs, your ass and your clothed cunt.
“I thought there’s a no touching rule.” Yeosang spoke, feeling himself grow hot, knowing the body his seeing all too well.
“I can touch any of you while I do my business since that’s what I was paid for but none of you can touch me unless I say so. So keep your hands to yourselves unless you’re putting a bill under the garter.”
You traced your finger along the side of your thigh, knowing full well that Wooyoung was watching your every move more intently than the others.
“Are you flirting with us?” Wooyoung licked his lips, mind racing with thoughts of kissing and feeling your skin.
“Maybe.” You winked at Mingi, making him smirk.
“Are you allowed to flirt with us?” Yunho asked this time and you moved to perch yourself on the platform/back rest of the couch.
“Yes I can flirt with you,” you nodded, placing your hands on your closed knees.
Wooyoung driven by desire, took out a 100 Zaire bill from his wallet and waved it your way.
“Open your legs.”
You obliged him, opening them an inch apart, entertained by how impatient he was with your teasing behavior.
“Wider.”
A little bit more.
“Make this worth all our time, sweetheart.”
Rolling your eyes at his demanding yet bratty tone, you surprised them all by spreading your legs wide, unfolding them into a flexible split on the surface you were on.
“Fuck,” San swore under his breath.
Wooyoung revealed to you another 100 bill. “Show me.”
Looking him dead in the eyes, you pulled your purple panties to the side, revealing your bare mound to their eyes. Some of them swore, some of them let out a groan and some of them just continued to look while they bite their lip. All of their reactions made you suppress an amused giggle, you kind of feel bad for them but you kept a straight face, not wanting to give Wooyoung the satisfaction of winning in the cat and mouse game you were playing.
“Oh baby,” Jongho cooed lowly, the familiarity of the pet name causing a chink in your armor.
“By the way, we can’t fuck.” You threw the rule out there, enjoying the way the handsome man you danced with was breaking at the seams.
“Why not?” Wooyoung scoffed, eyes on the pretty pink folds of your pussy.
“I’m a stripper not a whore.” You adjusted the panties back to cover you and you closed your legs, deciding to crawl to the side where Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho and Yeosang was.
“Like I told you earlier,” you could feel Wooyoung’s eyes on your ass. “Not everyone gets that privilege.”
Mingi swiped the bills from Wooyoung’s hand and handed it over to Yeosang, who nicely slips it beneath the garter. You thanked him.
“Now, Captain,” you turned to Hongjoong, who was looking at you with his signature smirk and his pretty brown eyes shimmering with amusement. “Tell me, where on earth did you find this arrogant, cocky and bratty thing?”
Wooyoung frowned at the sudden shift in your tone. The way you spoke with Hongjoong was as if you two were familiar with one another.
“Blame, Yeosang.” Hongjoong sipped his whiskey.
“He’s not as bad as you think, love.” Yeosang sweetly spoke to you, his hand moving to tuck a strand of your wig behind your ear to get a better look at you.
“He’s just a little dramatic,” Mingi inputted, tapping at his thigh and like a pet called to their master, you moved yourself to Mingi’s lap, straddling his hips.
“More dramatic than you?” You pouted cutely, running your hands through his pink hair. “So…how long did it take you all to know it was me?”
“Not long. We know your voice anywhere.” Seonghwa answered, quietly admiring you with just a small smile on his face. “But it is a big surprise to find you here out of all places.”
“Hi baby,” you couldn’t hold back your smile anymore as you cupped Mingi’s face with your hands. “Did you miss me?”
“More than you could possibly fathom.” Mingi replied, leaning in to kiss you but you leaned back.
“You can’t kiss me. Well…not here. They’re watching.” You tilted your head to where Jongho sat. “They can see us but they can’t hear us.”
“There’s CCTV on the right corner of the ceiling.” San told the group.
“W-wait. Wait a god damn fucking minute.” Wooyoung exclaimed, looking at you, settled on Mingi’s lap like you belonged there. Were you Mingi’s girl? What were you doing in a place like this? “You all know her?”
You pursed your glossed lips and turned to them, feigning hurt. “You guys didn’t tell him about me?”
“It was a topic that didn’t come up.” Yunho admitted, rubbing the back of his neck. “Sorry, Y/N.”
“It’s not our fault anyways, Mingi was gatekeeping you.” Jongho added, making the big man in front of you pout, a reaction that made Wooyoung reel at the sight. It was unfamiliar to see their intimidating gunner all soft and not…scary?
“When did he join?”
“Three months after you departed on your mission. We had to make a stop at Jupiter and Wooyoung recognized Yeosang, and he followed him, and now he’s one of us.” Seonghwa answered, eying the size difference between you and Mingi.
“And none of you mentioned me?”
“Mingi was gatekeeping you.” Jongho repeated, making everyone but Wooyoung laugh. He was still trying to grasp the new information of how you were Mingi’s lover and a member of the crew???
“Sure he was.” You rolled your eyes, moving from Mingi’s lap to the round platform to continue your little show for them.
“What are you doing undercover here?” Hongjoong asked, placing another bill on the platform to keep up with appearances and you bent over sensually to pick it up.
Was Mingi okay with this? Wooyoung glanced with wide eyes at their gunner. Was he okay with all of them seeing you like this?
Mingi was watching you with desire. He was reclined so comfortably on the couch, his thighs spread apart as he bit his plump lips at the sight of you entertaining them in the sexy skimpy number you wore. Was this a kink of his? Wooyoung wondered, unable to stop the way his face scrunched at his many unanswered questions.
“Because the information Vix won’t give you, I was able to get.” You told Hongjoong with a smile, and the leaders smirk morphed into a grin. “It’s amazing how flowery words and too much alcohol was all it took. I didn’t even have to take my top off.”
“Good cause I would’ve gauged his fucking eyes out if he saw what was mine.” Mingi growled, hands closing into fists to restrain himself from holding you to him.
“Will you?” Jongho confidently suggested with smirk.
“Will I what?” You coyly smiled, acting innocent.
“Take your top off?”
“Was seeing my pussy not enough for you?”
Wooyoung couldn’t believe the conversation flowing in front of him. He was painfully hard but his confusion and shock had his mind a mess. He didn’t know what thought to entertain or what he wanted to ask.
“Nothing is ever enough when it comes to you, doll.” Mingi muttered, tilting his head a little to the side as if to get a better look at you.
“So you have what I want?” Hongjoong casually glanced at the CCTV keeping watch of all of you.
“Yes I do. The timing of everything is kind of funny. It was Vix I was supposed to be dancing for tonight,” you told them, twirling around the pole. “I was going to get rid of him for you since he’s not of use anymore then I would’ve found a way to get to Xeres since that was your next destination for a restock of supplies on the ship.”
“Well it seems destiny is always in our favor.”
“So shall I finish him off?” San asked, rolling up the sleeves of his button up.
“Will he be any trouble to us if we let him live, angel?” Seonghwa turned to you, licking his lips when you were on your knees, sitting prettily before them.
“He’s not much of a threat. We should be more worried about his boss because he asked for me after I finish with you boys.”
Seonghwa leaned over to add more bills to your garter and San’s defensive posture softened.
“Which is why I’m amazed at the timing of finding all of you here tonight.”
“Is it the first time he’s asked for you?”
They saw your eyes flicker with fear for a split second and you shook your head.
“But he scares me.”
Mingi and San’s aura darkened at your words. It took a lot for you to be scared by someone.
“He knows a lot of things he shouldn’t know. He mentioned and boasted about the Academy when I met him. I was sure then that my cover was going to be blown.”
“So what’s the plan now?”
“Well since I hacked into his data systems earlier in his penthouse just above this club and took more than I came for. At exactly 2:27 am, the club will black out and we can make our escape then through the back door here thats used usually by the dancers to get in and out quicker for shifts.”
“What did you take other than the information about where the Cromer could be?” Hongjoong called your attention while his hand raised slightly in a gesture that the rest understood except for Wooyoung.
“Jongho, can you please hand me my purse please?”
They watched as you opened the bedazzled flap of the purse and took the bills beneath your garter and stuffed them inside, giving Hongjoong a glimpse of a glowing crystal that was one of the most sought after items of the galaxy.
Hongjoong only shook his head with a smile and you decided to turn to the new crew member.
“So, Wooyoung, right?”
He was caught off guard by your sudden attention.
“It’s nice to meet you and I hope we can get along well,” you warmly smiled at him, your pretty face glowing beneath the colored lights.
“Two minutes,” San checked the time on his watch.
“Oh, fun.” You giggled, sitting on the edge of the platform.
“Can you even make a run in those?” Wooyoung glanced at your very high heels, trying to remove the image of your pretty pink pussy that you had flashed to them.
He remembered your exchange from earlier.
What do you taste like?
Like heaven.
It was against his morals to want to fuck someone that was someone else’s lover. You were Mingi’s and Wooyoung couldn’t deny the fact that he was burning with jealousy with the thought of you being touched by Mingi.
“She could kill in those,” Yeosang answered for you. “So back door?”
“End of the hall, camouflaged with the wall.”
“I missed you so much baby.” Mingi groaned getting up and placing his large hands on your waist.
“Me too. More than you know.” Your voice softened, no longer in the facade of the identity you’ve been using.
“Ten seconds.” San announced.
“I’m not gonna let you run around like this.” Mingi slid his hands to your hips, biting his lip at the tiny piece of underwear covering the heaven between your thighs.
“Here, Y/N.” Yunho handed you his blazer. “Wear that.”
“Thank you, Yuyu.”
His blazer was like a dress on you and it made you look so tiny. Wooyoung pushed his hair back, trying to ease his frustration of both lust and knowing too late about who you are. He was also a little scared of how and when Mingi will confront him later because he was flirting with you.
“Good to have you back, Y/N.” Was all Hongjoong said before the whole establishment was enveloped in darkness and the nine of you made your escape.
A small squeak came from you in the darkness because Mingi had thrown you over his shoulder like you weighed nothing, and he carried you easily as you all made your exit.
When the bouncer, one of Vix’s goons, checked the room when the power came back on, he began to sweat nervously at the emptiness he was met with. He was going to be in big trouble.
Jongho hijacked a black van and used it to drive the nine of you to where the ship was docked, which was going to be a solid thirty minutes to get to.
Your soft giggles was a pleasant sound to all their ears as Mingi was all over of you in the back of the van.
“We’re glad to have our favorite girl back.” Seonghwa smiled fondly, watching as Mingi attacked your neck with kisses and his hands tickled your sides causing the very missed melodious laughter to fill the van.
The Vice Captain looked to his left to check on the members all of them well and in one piece minding their own business and checking the parameter if anyone was chasing the crew. Seonghwa spotted Wooyoung staring at you and Mingi through the tinted windows, his Adam’s apple bobbing deeply as he swallowed what he could see was envy mixed with desire.
“You okay there?” He quietly asked their new member.
“Huh? What?” Wooyoung responded as if broken out from a trance. “Oh,I- uh, I’m fine.”
“You sure?”
“Y-yeah. Just…” he paused wondering if he could confide in Seonghwa but the handsome older man’s gentle eyes was hard to say no to. “Just shocked that’s all.” He decided to not share his deep feelings.
Seonghwa knew and could tell that Wooyoung was attracted to you, and he knew he was feeling conflicted for feeling that way especially after seeing how you and Mingi acted.
Wooyoung gave him a small smile before turning to the window again, staring at the buildings they passed by.
As Seonghwa left him with his thoughts, he wondered how he was going to break it to their newest member the true nature of the crews relationship with you. How kind of unorthodox it was….How Mingi was not your only lover but theirs as well.

a/n: fluffy falling asleep on set idk, not edited, no warnings. enjoy sweet friends
Tumblr media
i stood lopsidedly- left knee bent, hand propped on my waist, and backpack slouched off my shoulder. my head hung low, eyes boring a deep hole into the dirty ground. i fluttered my lashes, in a lane attempt to keep them wide open. with a slight sway to the side, i worried i was going to completely pass out, right then and there.
then, the director yelled out a sharp, clear, "cut!"
i flinched, back straightening like the edge of a knife. i swear i heard something crack in my bones. i tugged the backpack up my shoulder and glanced around me. i met bella's eyes and they made a face, "you alright?"
i shook my head lightly, awakening my face, "tired." i reached an arm into the sky and stretched.
bella approached me, letting their own backpack slide down their shoulder and into their hand. "dude, me, too. i'm ready for today to be over."
"unfortunately," we fell into step off set, "we have a few more hours to go."
"fortunately," they added, mocking my tone, "we have exactly one hour until we have to be back right here. i am going to stuff my face with craft services."
bella's steps grew quicker as they started to bee-line for the food table. "wanna come?" bella offered.
i waved her off, "if i eat anything, i'm going to pass out."
they snorted, "go find a hole to take a nap in."
i managed a small chuckle at the response. maybe that was actually a really good idea. i set my book bag on the prop table; my trailer was a fifteen minute golf-cart ride from here. if i hopped on one right now, i have 30 minutes before i needed to get back on set. not to mention the fact that i needed to be back even earlier for hair and makeup touch ups, and notes from the director. that left maybe fifteen minutes for a nap.
but if i curled up in a corner somewhere, i'd have a good 40 minutes.
i shrugged off my jacket, peering around the set. i met eyes with people every now and again, offered sleep-ridden smiles in their direction. eventually, i settled on the couch in the corner of the room, parallel to a few chairs. it was a small resting place meant for guests, cast and crew members. i headed towards it with a heavy sigh. my feet hurt so bad.
as i approached, i opened my phone up and set a timer for thirty minutes. just in case. i plopped down onto the couch, slipped off my costume combat boots, and curled up in a ball. with my jacket lain across my body, my eyes shut as soon as my head hit the arm rest.
the noises slowly faded from my hearing, becoming muted murmurs in my distant, fuzzy memory. it was one of those weird naps, where i wasn't really asleep, but i definitely was not conscious. i felt my breathing even, a comfortable, monotonous rhythm circulating my system.
i don't know how long passed, but i jutted awake with a shocking pop of open eyes. my shoulders flinched a bit, and i sucked in a breath. i rubbed at my eyes gently, trying not to disturb the makeup there, and glanced around me.
bella had joined me on the couch, sitting at my feet with a bag of chips in their clutches. they were humming to themselves, watching tiktok's on their phone. after registering her presence, i looked ahead, where pedro was sitting, also eating a bag of chips and watching videos on his phone.
i shuffled a bit, lifting myself onto my seat, leg still curled up, beneath me. bella's snapped towards me, "good morning, sunshine. did you have a nice sleep?"
i rubbed my cheeks with either palms, then rested my head in my hands. "oh, god. that felt good, actually." lies.
bella gave me a thumbs up before going back to their phone. they were a human of few words. a silly, adorable human.
i glanced forward again and met pedro's eyes. his attention was lifted from his phone to me, now. he offered a sweet smile. "you doing okay?"
i shrugged, head pounding with exhaustion and restless napping. "just really tired."
my eyes flickered to my left as bella stood, engrossed in technology, and walked off to who knows where. i looked back to pedro.
he jutted his bottom lip slightly, a sympathetic expression. "i'm sorry," he glanced back at his phone, "you've still got thirty five minutes until we've gotta get back. why don't you lay down again?"
"it's okay," i shut the alarm off on my phone. "i'll be fine. this couch isn't comfortable, anyways."
pedro stood slowly, crossing the distance between us, and sat beside me. "no, you're right. this shit sucks," he laughed lamely.
i giggled at his words, "told you so."
pedro hesitated for a moment, glancing around at the furniture. then, he looked down at his lap. pedro set his chips and phone down beside him, shrugged off his jacket, and balled it up in his lap.
"here," he waved lazily, "lay your head down."
i eyed the make-shift pillow. was that going to be weird? i was so tired, i couldn't care less about nicety rules with my coworkers.
i smiled sleepily at him, lowering my head into his lap, "thank you," i murmured.
he rested his right arm across the back of the couch, and balanced his phone on the arm rest, going back to whatever he was doing. "no worries, sugar. i'll wake you when it's time."
i was beyond tired- but i didn't not notice the little butterfly wing that fluttered in my stomach when he called me that.
i passed out this time, though, completely snoozing away in dream-land, until i felt a strong hand clasp my shoulder and gently shake. his touch was warm, seeping through my costume and onto my skin like the gentle lick of a flame. pedro's voice spoke carefully close to my ear, "y/n? hermosa? they're calling us back to set."
i breathed deeply, eyes fluttering open. the first thing i saw were a pair of deep, dark chocolate eyes, shining golden under some of the set lights. my lips curled into a lazy smile, involuntarily. i sat up, feeling a hand softly on my back, supporting me.
"thanks for that," i stretched. "it helped a lot."
pedro's hands dropped into his lap, "i'm really glad." he went to say something else, but one of the makeup artists was approaching us, his large makeup bin in tow.
"y/n, i don't know what you did, but i need to fix that," sebastian waved a hand around my face with a disgusted look.
pedro and i shared a laugh. "i'm sorry, seb. thanks again, pedro."
he nodded, and waved as i got up and followed sebastian to a chair and vanity set up. i settled into the seat, eyes opened a little wider from the rest i'd gotten. as sebastian went to work on my face, my eyes followed pedro's reflection in the mirror. he stood from the couch, brushed his hands off on his pants, like they were sweaty or something. he mumbled something to himself, took a deep breath, and started his way towards set.
i scoffed out a short laugh. sebastian drew his hand back, brows furrowed, "what?"
i shook my head, "nothing."
pedro was kinda hot.
two weeks later.
i hugged my legs to my chest, apple of my cheek rested upon the crevice of my knee. a soft scratching noise emitted from the stick that i was dragging across the ground. i followed it in a loop with my eyes until i finished the little stick figure i was drawing.
bella's phone volume lifting snapped me out of my daze. i looked to them, watched them laugh at some video.
"y/n!" they stepped towards me, flipping their phone screen to face me, "we have to do this."
i watched the dance video she showed me, and groaned when it ended. "noooooo," i shoved my forehead against my knees. "i can't dance. you know this."
bella shrugged me off, "i don't care. we're doing it later."
"fine," i gave in. it didn't take much to sway my opinion. the videos bella always made me do with them were fun. i looked forward to the days she'd ask me to make them.
she was my little friend.
pedro interjected, "what is it?"
bella showed him, "dance video were gonna make. i'd invite you, peepaw, but i think you'd break a hip."
i snorted, covering my grinning mouth with my hand. pedro glared at me, playfully flipping both of us off. "whatever. i didn't wanna be a part of it anyways."
my eyes lingered as on his hand as it dropped to his side. his palms were ginormous, fingers long and slender. pedro wasn't excessively fit, but there were still veins snaking beneath his skin.
bella cleared their throat, kicking my shoe gently. "hello? earth to y/n?"
my glazed eyes shut, and i shook my head of the moment. "what? sorry?"
"nevermind. it doesn't matter. are you that tired?" bella plopped down onto the step beside me.
i rubbed my eye slightly, a clear sign that i was exhausted. maybe that's why my mind kept wandering... i nodded in confirmation to bella's question.
pedro sat criss-cross in front of us. he shrugged off his backpack and jacket. "it's been a long week. but we're almost done, honey. just hang in there."
i smiled kindly at his encouragement. "yeah, then two days off, right? i'm so looking forward to that."
pedro and bella nodded. my latter co-star unlocked their phone again, "me, too."they were over the conversation. person of few words, like i said.
pedro glanced at them as their phone volume rang through the beat of silence. he met my eyes and rolled his playfully. i giggled.
pedro leaned back on his palms, head dipping back as he admired the ceiling of the set room we were in. a comfortable silence succumbed us.
i shoved my head into my knees again, letting my eyes fall shut. my breathing became automatic as i entered a dismal state of being.
after a few moments, i felt a hand wrap it's fingers around my wrist. pedro squeezed, tugging my arm from the hold around my legs. i lifted my head, meeting his very closely countered gaze. he was on his knees before me. "yeah?"
pedro pointed beside me, where his jacket was wrapped around his book bag in a faux-pillowed manner. "lay your head down, sugar."
my chest inflated, a rush of heat kissing my cheeks. "o-okay. thanks."
pedro let go of my wrist as i turned, curling into a ball on my side. his backpack felt comfortable beneath my head. i passed out quickly. i woke up, probably fifteen minutes later, to a set of voices sharing a muted conversation, short whispers in the dim light.
"dude, you look so creepy," bella hissed.
pedro huffed out a reply, "shut up."
bella quickly countered with, "you're very openly staring a hole into her face! how can i not comment on that?"
i heard a scuffle as pedro probably adjusted his seating. "i can't help. she's very pretty."
bella awed, quite loudly. pedro shushed her quickly. "that's so cute. wait- do you have, like, a thing for her? wait, you do! oh, my god-"
"i'm walking away now," another shuffle as pedro stood. "forget this ever happened."
"pedro, no! come back!" bella stood, too, following after him.
my eyes slowly opened, a humiliatingly ginormous grin on my mouth. i covered my face with my hands. i was blushing.
okay, yeah there was something there.
two weeks later.
i groaned loudly, twisting my pillow around beneath my head for the thousandth time. i felt tears prickle at the back of my exhausted eyes, and a frustrated scream lodge itself in my throat. sniffling furiously, i took short, quick breaths.
for someone who was always falling asleep on set, i sure as hell had a difficult time doing so in my own damn bed.
i sat up, clutching the covers around my bare shoulders. i had shed my clothes a while ago, during some strange hot flash. but now i was shivering, skin lingered with warm goosebumps. i think i had a fever.
grabbing my phone, i checked the time. 3:45am. i had to be up at 6am to film something with bella. i held down the button and my flashlight lit up my room. my phone plopped onto the bed as i stood. i tugged a hoodie on and some pants before quickly hitting the light switch. my eyes screamed and head pounded from the brightness. i grabbed my phone again and turned off the flashlight.
i rummaged around in the medicine cabinet above my tiny sink. there was a thing of ibuprofen, and my hands shook as i tore it open, popping a few pills. i draw swallowed and they scratched my already sore throat. there was not thermometer, however.
i moved quietly, out of my trailer, the door squeaking on the hinges a little too loud. there were a few crew members littering the makeshift streets. there was probably a night shoot happening. i never paid attention to the schedule unless it pertained to me.
the medical tent was a good fifteen minute golf cart ride, but there were none stationed where they normally would. i would just have to walk.
my feet padded against the pavement, slippers scuffing harshly. i drug my fingers against other trailers for support, but when the row of buildings came to an end, i had to hold myself up. i felt like i was going to pass out- everything ached, including my stomach. i wanted to fall into the pavement, curl into a decrepit ball, and die there.
my arms latched around my body, holding me together tightly. i was certain my eyes were completely shut. maybe i was even going in the opposite direction. i didn't know how far i had walked when i ran into someone's solid chest.
hands clutched at my shoulders, rushed, worried words gently coaxing my eyes open. "y/n, cariño? are you okay? what's wrong? y/n, what's wrong? cmon, talk to me, sugar."
my eyes flitted, somehow peeling themselves open. pedro's furrowed brows were the first thing i noticed, and his rambling lips the next. i sighed, pushing my body into his clothes. he took hold of my weight as my knees gave out a bit more.
he wrapped one arm around my back, fingers wrapped around my bicep. his other came to my forehead. "jesus, you're burning up. here-"
my stomach turned as he lifted me up in his arms, temperature hand scooping up my legs. "where are we going?" i slurred, on the precipice of passing out.
"medical tent, sugar. need to get you checked out," pedro whispered, lips close to my ear.
"i feel tired."
"that's okay," he soothed, "go to sleep. it'll be okay. i've gotchu, hermosa."
my head lolled back, resting on his shoulder, as i gave in to the darkness.
when i woke up, i was laying in a hospital bed, papery sheets wrapped tightly around my lower body. my left arm flinched, and i felt wires tug at my skin. on my body was a hospital gown, an iv, and a knit blanket overtop of the issued ones. then, my eyes flittered around the room, narrowed in the bright, fluorescent lighting that covered me.
pedro.
he was in the chair beside my bed, slid down enough that his head could rest on the back of it. his legs were spread out, slumped from his state of sleep. pedro's lips were parted slightly as his even breaths pulled in and out, and his arms were crossed over his chest.
i settled for a second, admiring how peaceful he looked. but, then the beeping of the machines next to me broke me out of my trance. i glanced around again, finding the bed's remote, and raised the head of it so i could sit up properly. pedro shuffled in the chair, groaning as his eyes popped open.
he rubbed at his sockets, sliding back up in his seat. "oh, you're awake," pedro spoke, voice raspy from sleep. okay, that was hot.
i set down the remote, hands clasping each other in my lap. "i just woke up. so, was my fever that bad?"
"it was 104, y/n," pedro leaned forward and planted his elbows on his knees. "i took you to the medical tent, they took your temp, and then shoved you into the ambulance. i was barely able to hop in before they shut the doors and drove away."
i took a shaky breath. i felt a million times better than i had- but i was still sick. i could tell by the raspiness of my breathing, the ache in my bones. "is it covid? where's your mask? you shouldn't be here-"
"hermosa," he clasped a large hand around my own, "i'm not going anywhere. and it's not covid. just a bad case of the flu."
i twisted my fingers through his. "thank god. what time is it even? how long was i out?"
pedro laughed shortly, "it's actually sunday. you've been in an out of consciousness for a day and a half. but they think you can go home tomorrow."
"shit," i sat up a bit, "what about the show? shouldn't you be filming?"
pedro braced a hand on my shoulder, pushing me back against the bed. "don't even dare think about getting up. they've shut down set for the rest of the week to do some cleaning. just relax, cariño."
i huffed, but relaxed back into the bed. pedro squeezed my hand twice. my other hand balled up a fistful of the knit blanket. it was incredibly soft. pedro watched as i stuck my fingers through its holes, fiddling with it anxiously.
"who's blanket is this, anyways?" i asked.
the corner of his lips lifted into his cheeks, "mine. it was over my shoulder when you passed out in my arms. i accidentally brought it with us and just figured you could use it."
i smiled sweetly at him, "thanks. what were you doing with it on set? is it a prop?"
"hermosa, you ask an incredible amount of questions," he hung his head. "but, i thought that you were going to be shooting with us last night. got the schedule mixed up. i brought it for you."
the blood rushed to my cheeks. i wanted to ask why, but i already knew why. for when i fell asleep. i squeezed his hand twice and we shared an ardent gaze.
one week later.
"hey, cariño, you feeling better?"
it was my first day back on set since i had been sick. it was a 12 hour schedule, of course, and i was feeling exhausted. i was sitting up against a wall, one leg stretched out before me, and the other curved against my body. pedro squatted before me, leaning in close with a concerned expression.
i brushed my hair behind my ear, "yeah, i'm doing alright. sleepy, as per usual."
pedro chuckled, "figured as much."
"hey, you wouldn't happen to have that blanket, would ya?" i joked, nudging his foot with my own.
"actually..."
pedro pushed up off his knees, and i watched him round the corner, towards where our set chairs were. i couldn't see him anymore. i waited two minutes, before he came back around the corner, cradling that red knit blanket.
he squatted down again, and dropped onto his knees. pedro lay the blanket out over me lovingly. i blushed deeply, engulfed in warmth, and the sweet smell of his cologne.
"wow, uh...thanks," i grinned.
pedro settled against the wall, beside me. "no worries, hermosa."
a beat of silence passed. i wrestled with my thoughts. then, i made a decision and opened the blanket, setting it across his lap. "come on," i offered.
pedro pushed closer, shoulder pressing against mine, as the blanket covered both of us. "is this uncomfortable, though? it's kinda small-"
i bravely took his arm and wrapped it around my shoulder. he came closer, if at all possible. the blanket easily covered us both, now. "there. we made it work."
pedro looked down at me, a cheeky smile on his lips. his eyes were tired, fit with dark bags. i looked away, only to grab my phone and set an alarm. "twenty minutes okay?" i spoke softly.
pedro nodded, "okay."
i curled up into his side, placing my head in the crevice of his shoulder. i felt the weight of his own head as he rested it overtop my own.
my phone woke us twenty minutes later, shocking my system with a rapid heart rate and wide, alarmed eyes. pedro pulled away, sadly, arms stretching above his head. my body was colder in the spots he had touched, like a ghost linger there now.
"feel better?" i yawned into my palm.
pedro rubbed his sleepy eyes. "actually, yes, i do. i get why you do that so much. might have to go it more. although, i'm sure i won't look half as pretty as you do during it."
no words formed in my throat. my mind went blank, as my face heated up. i just stared at him, and i'm sure my eyes were wide, and my smile cheeky.
pedro tilted his head curiously, "you're beautiful, cariño."
i licked my bottom lip, as if lubrication would help the words come easier. "uh- than. thanks you. thank. you."
pedro just admired me for a moment before he reached forward and brushed hair behind my ear. his fingers lingered on my cheek, where he brushed his thumb over the apple of my face. he went to say something else, when a loud voice interrupted us.
"alright, people. let's get this wrapped up!" the director.
we dissipated, disappointed that the moment ended.
one month later.
"no, we have to match," i whined to bella, adjusting the santa hat on my head carefully.
they rolled their eyes at my reflection with the matching hat in their hands. "ugh, why?"
"because you always make me do these tiktok's and shit with you. you have to do something for me for once," i argued.
bella lazily tugged the hat on, hands falling flat at their sides. "happy?"
i squealed and clapped my hands together in excitement. "yes! oh, my gosh, so cute!"
bella wore a pair of flannel pj bottoms, red and green, with a green shirt that said, 'the humbug one.' i had on the same bottoms, but with a matching red shirt with the words, 'the jolly one.'
i had bella for secret santa, and i gifted them with the matching pjs. they complained when they unwrapped a large box and saw the pjs inside. little did they know, i had another, much nicer present. but, this was an added bonus just for my amusement.
the cast and crew christmas party was happening down at craft services. i had helped decorate yesterday, decking out the usually bland space with lights, strands of garland, and plenty of faux snow.
"cmon, we don't want to be late," i rushed bella with the wave of my hand.
they rolled their eyes again, but led us out of the trailer anyways. i knew bella secretly enjoyed this. they were like my little sibling.
as we approached craft services, christmas music tuned into our ears, along with the cherry murmur of cast and crew members mingling over cups of eggnog. my steps became a little lighter as i took it all in. everyone was dressed up in pjs or strange costumes, like the grinch or a christmas tree. i just knew my camera roll would be full after this.
bella spotted nico in the crowd and quickly ditched me for her. they looked back at me for a split second and stuck their tongue out, "see you later, loser."
i scoffed loudly, "what the hell!"
left in the dust, i crossed my arms and stepped over my own halted feet forward. i ran into sebastian first, who was nursing a very large sugar cookie cocktail.
"hello, gorgeous," he shook the bell on the end of my hat.
"hi, seb," i giggled. "that looks yummy."
"here, i'll get you one!" he offered enthusiastically, turning towards the table beside us.
my eyes rolled over his shoulder, where i noticed pedro was standing at the other end of the table with nick. pedro wore this ugly christmas sweater, mandelorian themed, with a pair of jeans. he had his glasses on, too, a small detail that made my stomach flutter. pedro had a whiskey glass in his left hand, and his right hung loosely in his front pocket. he was talking gently, grinning at whatever they were talking about. i wonder who his secret santa was.
my eyes lingered a second longer before sebastian popped back up in front of me. he held out a cocktail. i smiled, "thank you so much. hey, who'd you get for the secret santa thing?"
sebastian took a small sip of his drink, "murray bartlett. got him this blue scarf and glove set. looks gorgeous with his eyes."
i nodded, eyes flickering between him and pedro. a distant look, i'm sure, crossed my face. "oh, awesome. and who had you?"
sebastian tried to meet my eyes, but they focused in on pedro. he turned slightly, following my gaze. "0h, my god," he laughed. "knew it."
i wasn't paying attention. "who?"
sebastian's reply was laughed, "someone from the camera crew- girl, you're down so bad."
"uh-huh," i rolled my bottom lip between my teeth.
pedro's head fell back as he laughed, and when he straightened it, his eyes finally met mine. his smile widened, if at all possible, as he seemed to withdraw from the conversation and enter a space, encased with only me.
nick looked my way, brows furrowed with confusion. when he saw me, his brows then raised in understanding. he and sebastian shared an annoyed, humored look.
sebastian's hand touched my back, and he gently shoved me forward. my feet, which had been aching to make that journey forward, caught themselves and continued. nick patted pedro's shoulder lovingly, muttering some goodbye, and he walked away.
as i settled in front of pedro, a shiver rippled down my back. i let out a breathy, "hey."
pedro looked utterly taken, and he tilted his chin down, "hermosa."
"so," i swayed side to side slightly, grasping at some topic, "who had you for secret santa?"
pedro replied, "nick. got me some whiskey and this really nice jacket."
"oh, awesome," i finally took my eyes off his, nodding at my feet. but, like magnets, we met again.
"who'd you have?" pedro swung his elbow, lightly jabbing me.
i found bella in the crowd and pointed towards them. "bella. made them wear these stupid pajamas with me. i haven't given them the actual gift, which is a ginormous gift basket with all their favorite snacks and stuff like that."
pedro whistled, "damn, cariño. now i'm kinda wishing you were my secret santa."
"ha," i laughed, "yeah, well i haven't gotten anything yet, so i'm not going to be gifting anybody else...that's a lie, i'll make you a gift basket."
pedro said, "no, no, no," and braced his hand on my bicep. it was warm, like i remembered, "don't worry about that. your secret santa is just...waiting, hermosa. for the right moment."
i tilted my head, "waiting? what? how do you...oh."
pedro's smile was knowing. his hand stayed on my arm, sliding down my forearm, to my  fingers. he intertwined them with his own. "i think this moment feels right. cmon."
he turned to stand beside me. with a gentle tug of my hand, we moved forward, away from the party, and to his trailer.
"are you going to kill me?" i joked.
pedro shook his head, laughing, "no, i promise. i just-" he held the door open, "wanted this to be for just us."
i had the smallest inclination, but i tried not to get my hopes up. my chest inflated anyways, full of thrill.
when we stepped inside, pedro grabbed a wrapped present from the counter. "this is the first present."
"the first? wow. you didn't-"
"don't start with that, hermosa,” he shushed me, and motioned to the couch. “just open it.”
i pressed my lips together, a grin growing on my face. “okay.”
i took a seat with him on the couch and set the present on my lap. my fingers shook slightly as i began to peel off the christmas wrapping paper. “oh, i like the little cats,” i laughed as i stopped to admire the various patterned animal on the paper.
pedro nodded, “i knew you would.”
my heart was melting.
i peeled more of the paper away, revealing a large, knit blanket. “you didn’t!” i gasped, shaking off the paper. “i hate you!”
pedro laughed as i quickly started tearing off the packaging. i unrolled the blanket, and wrapped it around my shoulders, basking in the softness.
“oh, i did,” he remarked.
i sighed in the embrace of the blanket, “it’s so warm, i could fall asleep right here.”
“why are you always so tired?” pedro shook my shoulders crazily, teasing me.
i laughed, and situated some of the blanket on his lap. “i don’t know! i just am, i guess.”
“worries me,” he rubbed a hand over the blanket that was on my thigh.
i shifted under his touch, nervous again. “well, thank you for this.”
“okay, next present,” pedro clapped his hands together.
he reached for a smaller square, wrapped in the same paper, on the coffee table. i tilted my head, exasperated by his kind favors. “thank you, pedro.”
“just open it already.”
i did as he asked. under the paper was a picture collage, with a few different pictures of us. the day i first fell asleep with my head in his lap; the day i overheard him and bella talking about me; him by side at the hospital, holding my hand; the time we fell asleep under the blanket together.
i sucked in a gasp of breath, “wow! who took all of these?”
pedro laughed, “bella.”
i rolled my eyes in response. “should’ve known. this is so sweet. i can’t wait to hang it up at home.”
pedro hesitated, before laying out some careful wording, “i wanted you to have these pictures because they’re sweet, yes. but, hermosa, i wanted you to be able to see me falling in love with you. i didn’t notice it at first, until bella sent me these pictures last week. but, i know now- it’s there.”
i met his eyes, my own vision watery from admiration. i set the frame down and took his hand in my own, “im so happy right now. i don’t think you’re ever going to top this gift.”
we shared a small laugh. i looked back to the picture frame and continued admiring it. then, he squeezed my hand twice, as a few beats of silence passed between us. “hermosa?”
“yeah?” i looked back to him. he raised his brows, waiting expectantly. i realized, and my eyes widened, “oh! i love you! yeah, i do, i’m sorry, i thought i said, but i guess i forgot to. i love you so fucking much, pedro.”
he rolled his eyes, but burst into singing laughter. “i can’t believe you!”
“i’m sorry, i’m tired!”

Keep Quiet.
Johnnie Guillert x Fem!Reader.
smut.
submission: thigh riding with johnnie pls 🙏
whenever johnnie got on his PC to play games with his friends, it was always when i needed him the most.
i laid in our shared bed, my legs crossed as i tried to prevent my mind from wandering and getting myself even more worked up.
his hands touching every part of my body, especially where i needed him the most.
but i quickly shook the thought, attempting to focus on the text i was going to respond to. it was no use, i couldnt think straight.
i took a deep breath and sighed, getting johnnies attention unintentionally.
"you okay, baby?" he asked, removing his headset off of one ear.
"yeah, just.." i hesitated, my eyes gliding over his body, "bored."
"come sit with me," he offered, "sorry, talking to my girlfriend."
i obliged, desperate to feel his touch in any way i could. i left my phone on the charger. i sat on the left-hand side of his lap, leaning back onto his shoulder. one arm wrapped around me and gripped the controller.
he continued talking to his friends as i stopped blocking out my thoughts. i adjusted, squirming in an attempt to relieve some of my tension.
"you okay?" he asked, covering the microphone.
i met his gaze, glancing down to his lips. "yeah."
"tell me if you need anything."
"youre fine, babe. play with your friends," i smiled, leaning my head back on his shoulder.
i turned towards his neck, kissing it gently. he glared down at me and cleared his throat mid sentence before continuing whatever he was saying. i didn't care enough to listen to anything besides his moans at the moment. i sucked on his neck gently, leaving light hickeys wherever my lips had touched. his fingertips gripped into my waist. i gently pressed down into his thigh, letting out a moan low enough only he could hear. i could see as he grew harder by the second, trying to focus on the game so as not to alarm his friends.
he covered his microphone once more. "turn around." he whispered before adjusting.
i did as he instructed, turning around and placing myself on his thigh.
"go ahead, love. ill help you out when im done." he placed a passionate kiss on my lips before returning to the game.
i grinded slowly. he kept glancing over, watching as i pleased myself on his thigh. my mouth formed the shape of an O as a low moan escaped my mouth.
"you need to stay quiet. i dont want these guys to hear your pretty moans." his hand squeezed my thigh and returned back to the controller.
i bit my lip, holding back the whimpers that threatened to escape my lips. his hand slid up my neck, gripping it gently and pulling me in to kiss me.
"youre doing so good," he whispered on my lips, "dont cum until i tell you."
i nodded quickly as i quickened my pace. i gripped his thigh for balance. "johnnie-" i moan.
his hand quickly covers my mouth as he shushes me, "Be a good girl, or you'll have to go to bed just like this."
his hand moved from my mouth to my clothed clit, rubbing circles before his match started. i jolted, biting on his shoulder gently. quiet moans filled his open ear, and his friends didnt suspect anything. he removed his hand and placed it back on the controller.
i continued to suck dark love bites on his collar bone as i quickened my pace. i moaned quietly on his skin, sending chills down his spine.
"guys, i think im going to get off after this match." he cleared this throat, his eyes meeting mine. "yeah, i got a lot of shit to do, so," he trailed off. he covered his mic, whispering in my ear, "you think you can hold on a little longer, babe?"
"mhm," my hand moved to his chest. "hurry."
"be patient, its almost over." he replied before uncovering his microphone.
i kept my pace the same, trying to hold on as long as i could. it wasn't enough. I needed him. johnnie put down his controller, saying goodbye to his friends before turning the pc off. his lips crashed onto mine, picking me up and bringing me over to the bed. he laid me on my back, his hands sliding up my shirt and taking off my bra. he slipped my shirt over my head. he gently grabbed my tits, massaging them as he kissed me.
his hand moved to my clothed cunt, rubbing his fingers through my folds gently, "god, youre already so wet."
"you did this to me." i breate out.
he slid my pants off, tossing them somewhere in the room. he moved my panties aside, licking a stripe. i propped myself up on my elbows, holding back a moan.
"you can be as loud as you need, baby," johnnie began to suck on my clit as he slipped one finger inside of me.
i let out a low moan, arching my back. "you feel so good." i was already getting close, the friction just what i needed.
he slipped his second finger in as i whimpered. his mouth flew back to my clit, sucking it before letting it go with a pop. i shuddered, feeling a knot tighten in my stomach. "you taste amazing. is this why you wanted to distract me from my friends?" johnnie teased and he gripped my hips, pulling me closer to him.
i arched ny back, letting him his a different angle. his fingers thrusted quickly inside of me, allowing a string of lewd moans and curses slip out of my mouth. "oh, fuck. yes, oh my god, yes."
he curled his fingers, sending a wave of plessure through my body. i threw my head bsck, whimpering as he continued. "bein' so good for me, hm?"
i nodded eagerly, "johnnie, im so close."
he replaced his fingers with his tongue, gripping my ass as he lapped up all of my juices. "cum whenever, baby." his tongue massaged my walls as i clenched around him. i came on his tongue, my body going limp as he helped me ride out my high.
he pulled away, taking off his shirt and putting it on me. he laid next to me in the bed, pulling the covers over the two of us. he wrapped his arms around me, pulling me close.
his phone went off, making us both jump. "its okay, check it," i said, groggily.
he nodded and picked up his phone, "they heard you."

----
You were doing your best not to panic, choosing instead to focus on the annoyance coursing through your body instead. Your sister and her friends, her stupid, reckless friends, had done what they always did and got a little too wild, and while you had slipped away to the bathroom, they thought it would be a great idea to switch bars. Instead of waiting for you, they had shot a text to the Bachelorette Bead Bash group chat that you had created, telling you where to meet them. Only now you were there, and they were nowhere to be found. And to top it all off, your phone was dead.
“Stupid, stupid bridesmaids,” you muttered under your breath, pushing through the rowdy crowd of people none-too-gently to get to the bar. You tried not to cringe when you felt how sticky it was, immediately withdrawing your hands. “Excuse me,” you said, speaking a little louder when at first you didn’t get the bartender’s attention. He turned to you with a bored, exasperated look on his face, clearly annoyed with all the drunk tourists taking up space. “Do you happen to have a phone charger? I just need it for long enough to make one phone call, I promise.”
“No, sorry.”
You groaned as he walked away without another word, resisting the urge to stomp your foot in frustration. This was just your luck.
“I don’t have a charger, but flash your tits for me, gorgeous, and I’ll give you some of these beads.”
You turned your head to the drunk idiot standing far too close to you, a scowl on your deep purple painted lips as he shook the aforementioned colorful beads in your face. He reeked of sweat and cheap liquor and his eyes were glazed over as he leered at you.
“How about you take those beads and strangle yourself with them instead?” you snarked back, and to your disgust, the guy and his buddies only laughed. You scoffed and rolled your eyes, turning away from him and taking a step to start forcing yourself through the throngs of bodies that were almost certainly violating some sort of fire code. You didn’t get far before a hand was grabbing your arm, jolting you back.
“Come on, baby, you know you want to.”
The panic was trying its best to creep up again, but the annoyance was also morphing into anger as you narrowed your eyes. You were contemplating the risk of slapping him across the face when a voice spoke up from beside you.
“I think she said no, man. But those girls over there look pretty eager.”
The guy almost stumbled in his intoxication when he turned to see where the newcomer was indicating, shouting in excitement at the view of three women standing on a table pulling their shirts up as plastic flung in their direction. Him and his friends moved in that direction without another glance at you. The bouncer of the bar was also heading their way, and you breathed a sigh of relief that not only were the guys leaving you alone, but hopefully those women would make it out of here safely, too.
“Pawning my problem off on other women goes against every feminist bone in my body,” you said, turning for the first time to put a face to the voice who had come to your rescue. You’re met with a startling pair of dark eyes and a jawline that should be illegal. His smile was warm and amused, and despite all the irritation you were feeling, you couldn’t help but take a moment and think damn.
“It seemed like they would welcome the attention a lot more than you were,” he justified, and his voice was as smooth this time as it was the first time he spoke. You gave a noncommittal hum in response, and he raised a thick eyebrow as his smile grew. “You’re welcome.”
“I didn’t say thank you.”
“Were you planning to?” he challenged, and you felt a fluttering in your stomach at his playful tone. You contemplated for a moment, eyes narrowed and colorful lips pursed. You could see the amusement dancing in his gaze as he stared back at you, waiting.
“Thank you,” you finally said, only a little bit begrudgingly, and the stranger nodded in satisfaction.
“You’re welcome,” he repeated. “Also, there’s a place a few bars down that has a charging station. I overheard you asking the bartender.”
"Oh my god," you groaned in relief, "are you serious?"
He laughed, the sound washing over you. He motioned for you to follow him through the crowd toward the exit. You hesitated for a moment, remembering that you were in a city you had never been in before during their busiest tourist week of the year, and you didn't know this man. But then a cheer came from the corner, and when you glanced over, one of the guys from earlier had climbed on the table and taken off his shirt, plastic beads flying everywhere. You winced and turned back, nodding once. As you made your way out of the bar and onto the bustling street, you couldn't help but notice how effortlessly he navigated through the chaos.
"I'm Javy, by the way," he offered once you made it onto the sidewalk.
"Nice to meet you," you replied, offering up your name in return. He stuck close to you as he guided you down the overly crowded streets. You tried your best to ignore the lingering unease that clung to the back of your mind, but you found that his confident demeanor made it easy. "Are you a local?" you asked.
He flashed you a charming smile, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I used to be," he explained. "I grew up here, but I live in California currently. But New Orleans will always be home in a lot of ways. I take it you're not?"
"No," you snorted, narrowly avoiding running into someone running in the opposite direction. Your arm brushed against Javy's as you pushed slightly closer to him, and you tried to ignore the heat that the slight touch caused. "I'm here for my sister's bachelorette party. The city had always been on our bucket list to travel to together, but then her friends decided they wanted to overtake the whole trip and make it Mardi Gras of all times."
"I take it you don't like these friends?" he asked, a hint of humor in his voice.
You gave him the biggest smile you had since you met him a few minutes ago, and he was laughing before you even spoke the words. "Understatement of the century."
You go on to tell him about how they had pretty much blown the itinerary you had carefully crafted as maid of honor, including how they left to go to the next bar without you, and then not been there when you showed up. You weren't sure why you were telling a man you didn't know all of this, but it felt good to say it out loud nonetheless.
"They sound like they suck," he said plainly once you were done explaining. You let out a very unladylike snort as you agreed.
"What about you?" you asked, "what brings you back?"
"Ironically enough, I'm here for my best friend's bachelor party. There may have been an incident with a few of the groomsmen getting drinks thrown on them, and I ran into one of my cousins at the bar we were just at, so I told them I'd meet up with them once they came back out from going back to the hotel to change." He flashed you another smile, his eyes shining with a genuine warmth. "I suppose everything happens for a reason, though."
You chuckled, and he winked as you arrived at what you guessed was your destination. Javy held the door open for you, gesturing for you to enter first. Inside, the bar was as lively as the others you had been to, but the atmosphere was strangely inviting. You followed as he led you to the back corner where a row of charging stations lined the wall. You tried not to groan when you saw all of them were in use.
“Clearly I’m not the only one in New Orleans who went out without a fully charged phone tonight,” you muttered under your breath. A gentle hand on your arm had you turning your gaze to the man who had led you here, his dark, kind eyes meeting yours.
“Let me buy you a drink while you wait for one to open up.”
You hesitated for a moment, weighing your options. There was something about Javy that intrigued you, a magnetic pull that you hadn't felt in a very long time that made you want to spend more time in his company. You desperately needed to charge your phone and get in touch with your sister and her friends, so you'd be waiting here no matter what anyway...there was no harm in a drink, you rationalized.
"Sure," you finally said, unable to resist his charming smile. "A drink sounds great."
You followed him to the bar, squeezing through the crowd until you found a spot where you could lean against the counter.
As you waited for someone behind the bar to notice you, Javy leaned in closer, his warm breath brushing against your ear. "What would you like?" he asked, his voice tinged with what you thought was anticipation.
You turned to face him, feeling a jolt of electricity shoot through your veins as your eyes met. His gaze was intense, yet inviting, pulling you into a world of possibilities. "Surprise me," you whispered, your voice barely audible over the clamor of the bar.
With a mischievous grin, Javy flagged down the bartender. You couldn't hear what it was that he ordered, but before long, two stemmed cocktail glasses filled with a vibrant purple liquid garnished with a lemon peel and a deep red cherry were set down in front of you. "Mardi Gras special?" you asked with an eyebrow raise. He laughed as he grabbed both drinks and then nodded his head toward one of the barstools at the very end of the charging station that had just opened up. You hurried over to it before someone else could, sliding onto the barstool almost clumsily. Javy made himself comfortable leaning against the counter beside your stool, facing you. He handed you one of the drinks after you had plugged your dead phone in. Making the conscious decision to enjoy your time with him as much as you could, you placed the screen face down.
"It's called an Aviation, actually."
He looked almost amused as he brought the drink to his lips. You studied him closely as you did the same, letting the flavors of the gin and lemon dance on your tastebuds.
"What do you think?" he asked.
"It's delicious."
"I'm glad you like it," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. He watched you intently, and you didn't miss the way his eyes flickered to your lips when you licked away a stray drop of the liquid when you took another sip. The air crackled with tension, and you had to fight the urge to lean closer to him. He cleared his throat, looking away momentarily. You tampered down the shiver that threatened to run through you.
"So why'd you leave New Orleans?" you asked, breaking the silence.
"Work," he explained."I'm in the Navy, so I've lived all over the place."
"The Navy, huh?"
He hummed in confirmation. That glint in his eyes that made you feel like you were missing something was back, and your eyes narrowed in curiosity. "And what do you do in the Navy?"
A smirk played on his lips. He tried to cover it by taking another sip of his drink, but you saw right through it. He set the glass down, folding his hands together as he stared at you. "I'm an aviator."
You paused for a beat, looking down at the purple drink before looking back at him, the joke you had been missing clicking into place in your head.
"Okay," you said slowly, and Javy was already chuckling from his spot beside you. "I see what you did here."
His laughter was loud, but not obnoxiously so, instead surrounding you like a comforting warmth. You couldn't help but join in with him, your giggles blending seamlessly with his.
The atmosphere around you seemed to fade into the background as the two of you talked, the conversation flowing easily between you. The more you learned about Javy, the more intrigued you became. His passion for flying was evident in every word he spoke, and it was contagious. You found yourself hanging onto his every word, mesmerized by his experiences and adventures. And when you spoke, he listened with genuine interest, occasionally interjecting with laughter or witty remarks. The more you talked, the more drawn you felt to him. There was something about his easy charm and attentive nature that made you feel seen and understood.
Eventually, your phone buzzed with a notification, indicating that it had finally regained some charge. Reluctantly, you flipped it over and glanced at the screen. Reading through the few messages that you missed in the chat, you snorted in disbelief. "My sister and three of her bridesmaids started throwing up at the last bar they went to."
"Yikes," Javy winced. "Are they okay?"
Your heart fluttered at the concern he showed for people he didn't even know. Damn damn damn.
"They're fine," you assured him with a small smile. "The other two have already dragged them back to the hotel to sleep it off. Guess the night is over."
You felt sad as you said the words. The night had started a shit show, but talking to Javy had turned it around. You weren't really ready for it to come to an end just yet.
As you reached to unplug your phone, Javy's hand gently clasped yours, halting your movement. "You don't need to rush off just yet," he said softly, his warm gaze holding yours. "Why don't you come hang out with me and my friends instead?"
You looked at him in surprise, shocked by the offer.
"Don't you think your best friend will be mad that I'm crashing his bachelor party?"
"Not even a little bit," he assured you. "They're all good guys, I promise."
You chewed on your bottom lip as you contemplated.
You knew that you should decline. Going off with a group of strangers in a city you barely knew didn't exactly scream "intelligent decision." Still, you found that you wanted to take him up on it.
Reading the apprehension on your face, Javy continued on, more eager now as he tried to convince you. "Look, as a Louisiana boy, I can't bring myself to allow you to leave New Orleans without actually enjoying yourself. You deserve to have a good time." His hand settled on yours again and squeezed gently. When he spoke, he was shyer than he had been all night. "And if I'm being honest with myself...the last thirty minutes with you have been the highlight of my trip home, and that's saying something. I'm not really ready for it to end yet."
His words sent a shiver down your spine. You gazed into his eyes, searching for any hint of deceit or ulterior motive. But all you found was sincerity and an excitement that you felt flicker in you, too. Against your better judgment, you nodded. You were tired of playing by the rules, tired of always being the responsible one. Maybe tonight could be different.
"Alright," you conceded, unable to hide the smile tugging at the corners of your lips. "Lead the way."
Javy's grin widened, and he intertwined his fingers with yours before guiding you out of the crowded bar. The night air hit you with a welcome change as you followed him through the lively streets.
His friends waited at a bar just a few blocks away. As you approached, their laughter and boisterous conversation spilled onto the sidewalk. When they saw Javy walking hand in hand with you, their eyes widened with surprise. Almost instantly, the cat calls started.
Javy rolled his eyes, and you couldn't help but laugh lightly as you leant against him. "Yeah, yeah. Knock it off."
He introduced you to each of his friends amongst their teasing. They were a rowdy group, and it wasn't hard to see how much they cared for each other. The camaraderie instantly calmed you.
It was surprisingly easy, letting yourself have fun with this group of strangers. They accepted your presence like it was nothing, involving you in every conversation and debate they had, and within a few hours, you felt like you had known them for a lot longer than you really had. The night continued on, a whirlwind of pretty purple drinks and colorful masks and exuberant laughter. Vibrant jazz music reverberated through the air, the streets full of purple, gold and green chaos. You could feel the pulsating energy of the city surging through you, and this is exactly why you had always wanted to come here.
At some point, Javy grabbed your hand, beckoning you to dance with him. You giggled happily as he twirled you. The world around you melted away, leaving only the pulsating music and the warmth of his touch. You were tipsy from all the alcohol and the thrill of an unexpected night with a man who made you feel something no one else ever has. You wished it wouldn’t have to end.
“Me either,” he said, making you realize you had said that out loud. But instead of feeling embarrassed at your slip, you giggled and leant into him further.
“I mean it,” you insisted. Javy’s smile had become familiar to you tonight, and the butterflies erupted in your stomach just as they had the last few hours when he flashed it in your direction. “You know, you’d make the perfect wedding date, if only you didn’t live so far away.”
He hummed in what you thought was agreement, but didn’t say anything. The look he gave you was contemplative, like there was something he was trying to figure out. “What?” you asked.
“When’s the wedding?”
You threw your head back in laughter, realizing what he was getting at. “Still a few months away. You’ll have completely forgotten about me by then, I’m sure.”
Javy's eyes sparkled as he pulled you even closer, his hand still holding yours tightly. "Oh, I highly doubt that," he replied, and the way his voice dropped sent shivers down your spine. "Seriously. When's the wedding?"
"The second weekend in May."
"If I'm not deployed, I'll be there."
You shook your head in disbelief as more giggles escaped, completely enraptured by this man. "Sure, Javy."
His smile softened and he raised a hand to cup your face, and you couldn't help but instinctively lean into his touch as his thumb brushed your skin. "I mean it. I want to be there. With you." You searched his eyes for a long moment, searching for anything other than the sincerity and tenderness staring back at you. You felt a rush of emotions when you found none. In that moment, looking at you the way that he was, he felt like so much more than just a stranger you met on a wild night out in New Orleans.
Before you could talk yourself out of it, you raised on your toes and pressed your lips against his.
The kiss was soft at first, gentle and sweet, but it quickly deepened into something more passionate. For a moment, you hesitated, wondering if this was the right thing to do, but then you realized that you didn't care. You found yourself lost in him, and everything else faded away. All of the tension that had been building between the two of you that night was pushed into this one moment. You nearly stumbled at the intensity, but Javy just pulled you closer and kissed you harder. He tasted like gin and lemons and cherry from the purple drink you both had been drinking all night, and you realized it tasted even better from him.
Finally, the two of you broke apart, both panting heavily. You gazed at each other as you tried to catch your breath. Your heart was pounding in your chest as he brushed some of your hair out of your face.
You swallowed thickly before speaking, your voice trembling just slightly. "I want you there, too," you said, and you knew it was crazy, but you also knew you meant it.
A slow grin spread across his face, and before you could say anything else, Javy's lips were back on yours.

Notes: I'm kind of feeling a part two? Maybe? I'm actually so in love with this man, it's unreal.

You’ve been laying in this damn bed for the whole day, you’re sick of it. Your acolytes had banished you to bed rest after a small incident in Mondstadt and you were bored, your bones aches in being in the same sitting position for the past hour. You need to move and when you’re allowed to, you’ve got acolytes following you to the tee.
You turned around to see Ayaka’s figure behind you, her breath hitched as you turned to angrily stare at her. She immediately trembled, her lips quivered with fear and uncertainty as to what made you so angry at her.
“Are you…are you alright, your grace?” She whimpered out, it was the last straw for you, you blew up right in front of her. “No! I’m not alright! Stop following me around, give me a damn break—“ you scolded Ayaka with a strong voice, the cryo-wielder stepped back at your sudden outburst.
“Don’t you understand that even gods need space! You’re following me step by step and I’m sick of it!” You grabbed your locks, annoyed and angered.
Suddenly, someone had barged in, which made you turn your angered stare to them.
It was Diluc and Al Haitham, Diluc sported an uneasy expression as his companion just looked between you. Ayaka looked at Diluc, lips quivering before she burst out in tears, her legs could hold her wait as she dropped down, sobbing into her arms.
“Okay, okay..let’s get you out first.” Al Haitham instantly moved as soon as the first sob of Ayaka’s was let out, at the side of the girl in a few seconds. You looked at the situation with tiredness. You sighed and turned away from Ayaka, trying to pull away from even more acolytes.
“Your Grace. You can’t be yelling at your acolytes, they only want to help you—“ Diluc turned to you like a scolding father to his daughter. “Why can’t I? Why can’t I be angry? You say you only want to help, what part of stalking me through my own home is helping?” You accusingly retorted, Diluc was appalled at your rudeness.
Diluc was confused and rightfully so, his last memory of you was of elegance, you walked down the town of Mondstadt wearing the most sheen and silken clothing. Made from the best fabric anyone could find. You talked to children and even played with them.
Where was the God he saw that day?
“Your Grace, we’re here so you don’t have to lift a finger! You know this-“ He tried to reply to you when you scoffed, “I don’t want to be treated like a child, or- or someone who can’t do things for themselves. I’m a god! Not some frail human!” Your eyebrows furrowed in frustration, Diluc was not helping your situation, nor calming you down.
“Do you need any help, Diluc? The girl’s gone-“ Al Haitham peeked into the room, looking off to you with a small concerned frown. “Al Haitham, please, I need to talk to them, they’re upset and more acolytes in the room won’t fix that.” Diluc shook his head, looking off to you as you paced the room, trying to control yourself.
The clouds outside had turned to grey, it was sunny earlier. It was obvious it was your doing, more so, your emotions. Diluc needed to calm you and fast, before your anger turns to a flurry of frost.
“Your Grace. I understand your anger, but you must know, you need someone to take care of you.” You were shocked at what Diluc had implied, that even if you were perfectly capable of doing things yourself, that you must hand over that responsibility to someone else.
“Get out.” You pointed to the door, a storm of emotions brewed inside of you, mostly of anger and anguish at Diluc’s statement.
“Your Grace-“ Diluc tried to start. You threw the closest thing at him, a vase. The porcelain broke right next to him, making him turn and flinch, Diluc’s smooth skin was nicked by one of the glass pieces, the smooth red falling down his cheek.
Another reminder of why you’re being treated this way, why you’re different. “I said, get out!” You shouted, readying another piece of porcelain to throw at Diluc.
Diluc’s lips opened, then closed. He knew there was nothing else he could say to calm you down. So with an uncomfortable feeling, he simply nodded and bowed, before leaving you to drown in your anguish and despair.
He respected your decision, even if it meant that he had to ignore the wails and cries of yours as he walked away.

helpless, hopeless. me94
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
in which he is helpless in school and hopelessly in love. (18+!!)
i think i just gave myself a crush
“could we try a reward system or something? i can’t help that i’m not motivated when the material is this” you rolled your eyes to yourself at his words, tapping your pen on the textbook in your lap out of frustration
mark was unteachable. you were sure he knew what ambition felt like, you were sure deep down he cared about academics to an extent, because you don’t commit to umich sports without at least some drive, right?
frustration got the better of you, and your tone indicated that well with your response. “what, do you want me to throw bacon at you? the reward is passing the class, mark,”
he glared at you, his jaw ticking slightly because of the attitude you’d given him. you were both starting to think your prof was some sort of comedian for pairing the two of you up for tutoring
“i meant something i want, not something i need, but thank you for your kind suggestion, i’ll be sure to keep bacon in mind when you’re throwing questions at me” you slammed the book on your lap shut, gesturing for him to tell you his great idea for how you should motivate him to study
“go ahead, then,”
his demeanour changed, his pupils dilated, and his tongue quickly poked out to lick his lips before he shrugged.
“well, i saw-“ his body language had given you plenty of context regarding what he was about to say, and you didn’t need to hear it.
“are you out of your fucking mind? you’re lucky if it’s a hundred degrees in here and i even consider taking off my hoodie,” you shut him down before the thought could even reach his lips.
“come on, you need the extra credit. i’ll do it too, if i get one wrong, or something,” you shook your head, lips parted in exasperation.
if you didn’t think it’d get to his already big head, you’d laugh like he was telling a hilarious joke
“i need the extra credit, not the extracurriculars. i also have zero interest in seeing you without a shirt on,” he grinned for a split second, hiding it by hanging his head until he could fight it off.
“if you want my opinion, the extracurriculars might help you calm the fuck down. but sure, you don’t need it,” you sucked your teeth, not even bothering to respond to him as you stuffed your things back into your backpack and moved off his bed.
“hey, wait, i was just being a dick, y/n,” he reached his arm to grab your wrist, but you moved away, and his hand landed square on your thigh. you could see the gears turning in his head before he used the leverage to tug you back towards him.
“it seems like dick is almost your default. let me go, there are plenty of pretty boy assholes for me to tutor for my extra credit. a few in this house, actually. but nobody in their right mind is agreeing to strip if it means you’ll pay attention to them” he raised an eyebrow, disagreeing with your last remark.
“and what if i don’t want any other mean tutors to strip for me?” your cheeks went hot but you blatantly ignored the feeling, refusing to look down at him cause you knew what was waiting for you if you did.
his hands were already smoothing up and down your hips, and when you refused to look at him he stood, pressing his chest to yours.
your chin ended up just by his collar bone, and he looked down at you, a soft pout showing in his eyes but not his lips.
“this isn’t cute.” you deadpanned, causing him to smirk, tilting his head.
“no?” you shook your head, mimicking his no, but definitively rather than questioningly.
“is it convincing, at least?” he asked, a small smile playing at his lips.
you sighed in response, taking the flash cards from your front bag pouch and throwing the rest of the bag on the floor.
you both sat back down on his bed, and you glumly asked the first question on the card. he got it wrong, and eyed you til you moved to the next card.
you were half expecting him to take his sweater off, but he hadn’t.
he looked bored right out of his mind, and the way he answered showed that he was still wildly disinterested in the topic.
he wouldn’t ponder, just immediately said the first thing that came to mind so he could move on.
the next question, you knew he had the answer to. when he got it right, you paused.
he raised an eyebrow, giving you a look of annoyance when you took so long to flip to the next question.
he quickly lost the attitude when you pulled your sweater over your head and refused to meet his eyes, just moved on to the next question quietly.
he took longer to think about it this time, eventually coming up with the right answer. you look your shirt off, leaving you in your bra.
you looked up at him for a quick second to see his cheeks bright red and his lips parted, his lashes fluttering as he blinked repeatedly.
he hardly heard the next question, and stumbled until he got it wrong. you looked at him expectantly, then looked away, trying not to look back at him while he cleared his throat and pulled off his sweater
he hadn’t been wearing a shirt underneath, so you were met with his bare chest when you did muster up the courage to look in his direction.
he got the next question right, and you gave yourself a moment before you raised your hips and discarded your pants. he was staring at you, gaze soft but almost overwhelming as it took you in.
he got the next question right as well, but you didn’t budge, just gave him a small shake of your head.
“something else, then. yeah? maybe come sit in my lap,” you nodded reluctantly, taking your new place on his thigh, your side to his chest.
you ignored the bulge in his sweatpants to the best of your ability, and then he got the next question wrong, so the only barrier between the two of you was your respective underwear
you ignored the way he twitched when you moved even slightly, and you definitely ignored the way he was throbbing, too focused on the same sensation coming from your own core.
“what now?” you asked, voice meek and quiet as you looked down at him.
“i have some ideas im not sure you would approve of” he grinned, and you rolled your eyes in response, cheeks getting warm for what felt like the millionth time that night. this time, though, the rest of your skin felt a similar scorching feeling under his eyes.
“like what?” he licked his lips at that, taking the cards from your hand and setting them aside.
he kissed your lips once, but wasted no time in moving to your jaw, down your neck and to the tops of your boobs.
you let him take his time there, liking the sensation of him nipping gently at the sensitive skin, but eventually you pulled his face back so you could kiss him properly again.
you revelled in the feeling of his smile against your lips, and were quick to part your lips when his tongue slid against your lower one.
you felt his hands pull at your waist, and you let him move you, eyebrows furrowing when he set you so his thigh was slotted between your own.
his thigh jerked when you took it upon yourself to roll your hips, the sudden movement pulling a whine from your lips.
“god you’re so beautiful, baby” he mumbled, placing his hands on your thighs and rubbing slow circles with his thumb.
you buried your hands in his hair, pulling at it whenever his thigh twitched or whenever his hands would inch further up
the rhythm of your hips was steady against him and his kisses were like a drug.
eventually, he worked his kisses to your chest again, and his hands came up to gently swipe along the clasp of your bra, looking up at you as if you ask permission to take it off
his lips were swollen and red, he was panting and all you could focus on was the sweet, begging look in his eyes as you nodded, mumbling your consent.
his right hand moved to pinch at your left nipple, the sensitive skin hardening under his oddly gentle touch, while his lips closed around the other, almost hesitantly
you sucked in a breath, eyes fluttering shut in time for his left hand to move down to your core and rub sweet, soft circles on your clit through the fabric of your panties
“s’ okay?” he asked, out of breath and almost immediately returning his attention to your boob while halting his left hand to wait for your response
“yeah- yeah, s’ okay,” you whimpered, basking in all the stimulation he was providing you.
you were still gently rolling your hips, and his fingers worked in unison with that, so you were already inching closer and closer to your orgasm
you wanted to hide away in him, and though merely twenty minutes ago the idea (and reality) of being with him in an enclosed space seemed awful, he was doing well at making you feel the opposite. you wanted to be as close as possible
he took his time, eyes closed peacefully as he brought you to the edge, and eventually over it.
it was ridiculously powerful, especially for how gentle he’d been, and you bit your lip so hard you swore you tasted blood just to keep in your moans.
he brought his lips back up to your own again, hands cradling your jaw and the back of your head while he eased you onto your back, underneath him.
you pulled away from him, looking up into his eyes with an expression you couldn’t explain. he responded with a soft smile, kissing you on the head reassuringly before trailing down your jaw and focusing on your neck
his hands, now gliding along your waist, were warm and the sensation made you feel fuzzy.
“so gentle,” you stated, words coming out as a half confused whisper. his lips formed a smile against your collarbone and he pulled back a few inches, glancing up at you for a quick second
“i can be,” was his response. you blinked, taking his hands in your own and moving them to your hips, his thumb conveniently nudging at the waistband of your underwear
he moved back up so your heads were level, licking his lips before looking down by your core, then back up at you.
“i like it,” you replied, delayed but still appreciated. he tried his best not to grin like a fool, his heart feeling full in his chest
you didn’t miss the way the corners of his lips curled up, but he immediately shot them down, keeping his composure
he slid two fingers from each hand into your panties, a questioning look in his eyes and his head tilting slightly. you took a deep breath, breaking eye contact to recuperate before nodding and raising your hips, bringing your eyes back to his.
he tugged them down slowly, giving you a reassuring look before ultimately moving his eyes to where his hands were, breath caught in his throat.
a choked whine came from your throat as the cold air touched newly bare skin, and mark finally let his breath go, shakily.
“oh, baby,” he murmured, eyes somehow becoming darker but softer at the same time
your folds were glistening with both your first release and your arousal, and every touch from his fingers, even featherlight, had you twitching
you took the time he used to work his boxers off and grab protection from his night stand to catch your breath, and let it sink in
everything, how sweet he was being, how well he stimulated you, how satisfying the orgasm was, how had you been asked just yesterday, you’d have said with full confidence he’d probably never made a girl come before
maybe you underestimated his game, or maybe he just cared about you
either way, your heart fluttered involuntarily when he grabbed your hand, interlocked your fingers and rubbed soothing circles along your knuckles while he waited to push into you
when he did, you couldn’t help the surprised noise that came from your lips. not because he hadn’t warned you, but because of the stretch
he took his time, not letting go of your hand, not changing up his pace.
he looked over at you after finally opening his eyes, originally having closed them when he’d bottomed out, to see you already looking at him, eyebrows furrowed in concentration.
your eyes were filled with a look of what he placed as uncertainty, and he smiled, using the hand not holding yours to push your hair back out of your face sweetly, hoping it would reassure you
you just blinked, lips parting in realization; mark truly liked you
you used your free hand to cup the back of his head, connecting your lips once again. he felt all of the previous pressure lift from his shoulders, hips pressing taught against yours and staying there for a moment before he resumed thrusting
you moaned into his mouth, and he hummed in return.
he pulled his lips away from yours, pressing your foreheads together while he gave you one last thrust, the two of you toppling harshly over the edge simultaneously
he hissed, trying to work you through your orgasm while not overstimulating himself, and it was all perfect.
your quiet huffs, struggled moans while you tried to keep quiet for his housemates’ sake, were perfect. the way your thighs twitched was perfect, and the way you hugged onto him when he collapsed onto you was perfect.
he pulled out of you, rolling over and throwing out the condom. you immediately turned onto your side, cuddling into his chest and holding onto him tight.
“y/n?” you hummed, eyes already closed and legs tangling into his
“that wasn’t just, like, a heat of the moment thing, i really- i really, really like you, y/n” you could hear his heart pounding and feel his skin go hot under yours, and you smiled.
you pressed your hand to his chest, feeling his heart slow down significantly under the contact
“are you asking me out, estapa?” you mumbled, earning a chuckle and a sweet kiss on the lips
“if that’s okay with you,” he answered, and you grinned sleepily
“more than okay”

Tumblr media
It was a calm day, a rare occasion. You were usually always busy, taking down RDA facilities, hunting, helping out the Aranahe hometree, helping the humans and na’vi back at resistance base. You never got a moment of peace and perhaps it helped because you had no idea what to do with yourself now that no one was asking for you. You had first gone to Priya, who always had something to ask or an idea to share, however the purple haired woman smiled sweetly and shook her head “Nothing today! Go and relax!” and dismissed you. You visited a few more people, along with your siblings who had woken up from the cryo sleep with you. You asked Nor if he wanted to practice his bow and arrow skills with you, however he shrugged and told you “I have to leave soon yawne.” You then asked Teylan, who usually asked you to gather more human computer bits or to teach him. Teylan placed a hand on your arm briefly, “Why don’t you relax today? You’re always working.” You got the same from Ri’nela.
At the end, you’d given up, and left HQ. You greeted your Ikran, coo’ing her name “Hello, my gorgeous.” You adored your ikran, and she felt the same. You two were bonded for life, after all. When she’d chosen you, you felt nothing but lucky. You pet her head, scratching all the right places before pressing a swift kiss to the heart on her nose. It was your favorite part of her pattern, the fact she had a little heart, it was almost irresistible to place a kiss there. “Sarentu.” A familiar voice called, making you turn. You were face to face with So’lek, and you couldn’t help but smile slightly. You two had become close after he’d saved you from Mercer. He started to come with you on hunts and missions more often. Once he told you that you should experience the forest yourself, the fails and the successes. To realize the dangers. However now he came with you whenever he could, it was nice but you were unsure why he did. Perhaps he thought you were ready, comfortable in the forest.
“I have a name.” You told him with a chuckle. He just smirked, and crossed his arms as he looked at your Ikran, and then you once more. “You look bored.” He ignored your previous statement and stepped closer. You nodded, sighing as you turned back to your Ikran as she nuzzled her nose into your hand “No one has anything for me. I am tempted to ask the Aranahe, but I have a feeling they won’t have anything either. Today feels…” you paused, thinking of the right word to use. So’lek simply listened, waiting for you to keep speaking, observing you with his diligent eyes. You finally settled on a word, “quiet.”
So’lek hummed in response “it’s good to have.. quiet days. You work yourself down to the bone. Though it’s admirable,” he offered a gentle smile before continuing “you should remember to take care of yourself.” You shrugged once more and returned your gaze to your Ikran, who was nudging at the pack against your waist filled with treats for them. It drew out a soft chuckle and you pulled out a smaller bag, and let her eat the sticky sweet honey combs from it. He stood in silence with you, and you spoke after your Ikran had finished her small treat “I just don’t know what to do with myself. I’m always busy, this feels wrong.” You laughed at yourself airily and looked over at So’lek.
“I have something to show you.” So’lek suddenly said, after a moment of pondering. You furrowed your brows in confusion but nodded, following him as he walked away. He lead you through the meadow and river next to HQ, climbed part of the mountain with you and settled at the top of it. The grass moved like water, the multicolored plants beautiful in day just as they are in night. They sang to you words of home, serenity. Peace. So’lek looked at you, watched your expression shift and change into something soft, and sweet. He would never say aloud that this was one of his favorite expressions of yours. The only one to know that would be him, and him alone.
He gently guided you to sit down underneath the singular tree near you, it’s branches swaying with the wind as if in a never ending dance. As you lived on Pandora you learned how to pay attention to the small things in nature. Just as you noticed So’lek had scooted closer to you as he spoke “sit with me here for a while. Admire everything around you. It’s good for your health, or so the humans say.” You chuckled with him, and nodded as you pulled your legs into a loose criss cross style. So’lek stretched his legs out in-front of him and leaned in slightly closer to you, it almost made you want to lean into him completely. You almost did, but you had talked yourself out of it anyways.
You admired the world with him. You took note of the changing colors across the plane, listened to the sound of the waterfall crashing below you. Ikran and other animals flew through the sky with such grace you almost wished you could do so, perhaps you would see all there was to see if you could fly. Being on the ground wasn’t so bad though you thought, as he shifted closer, arm resting closer, his fingertips ghosting yours. Most silences felt awkward, needed to be filled but this one left you feeling content. Silence was alright with certain company, you supposed while you looked over at So’lek. His eyes met yours and they widened slightly in surprise, as if you’d caught him staring. And you felt like you had. It made your cheeks flare with heat.
“Do you know how to make a crown?” You suddenly asked, blurted out as you looked down at the wolf flowers dancing against your legs. He raised a brow in question “hm?” You plucked a flower from the soil and said “a flower crown. My sister taught me.” He seemed interested, leaning in, his chin hovering just above your shoulder and so close to you that you could hear his breathing. Soft and controlled. You continued “Aha'ri. She’d like it here. She taught me how to braid my own queue too, because I had so much trouble doing it alone.” He watched your hands carefully weave together stems of the flowers and some grass too into a slow but sure crown. He listened to you ramble, and he himself spoke of his own stories, resting his head against your shoulder and you subconsciously leaned into him, head against his. This went on for a while, sometimes it would be quiet, and other times he would ask you questions or you would ask him some of your own.
You would call this one of your favorite memories, some day. Probably tomorrow. You smiled softly and shifted, making him lean away, and you almost immediately missed the warmth. “Here,” you placed it atop his head, and it almost fit perfectly. Perhaps a little too small but it wasn’t too noticeable, you did well. Your chest welled with warmth and something bubbly as a smile spread across his lips, his hand going to the crown, and very hesitantly to your face. You leaned into it, had to, or he would’ve stopped. Then he did something unexpected but.. he always did.
So’lek leaned in, and pressed a sweet kiss to the flat of your nose, and leaned his forehead against yours in silence before he murmured “thank you, nìhona.” You giggled softly at the name. “Nìhona?” You asked. He smiled at your amusement and nodded against your forehead, his hand moving to rest against your nape “it suits you. You are sweet in nature, and it’s..” he paused. A pause that made the entire world stop spinning, the wind even held its breath as it listened in, the sounds of the water and bugs and animals quieted as if to make it easier to hear the words he spoke for you, for you to hear, and only you.
“One of my many favorite traits of yours.” He breathed. You rested your hand on the back of his neck as he was doing to yours, and spoke, soft enough for him to hear “you have so many that are my favorite that it’s hard to list them all.” He laughed. You laughed. His hand tightened only slightly as if to keep you there for a while longer but he didn’t need to. You wanted to stay there forever. “Quiet days aren’t so bad, are they ma’yawntu?” He spoke with a certain fondness in his voice that it made your heart skip a beat. Or three.
You shook your head, eyes shifting to his lips for just a moment, wondering what it would be like to press yours there. “No. Not too bad.” You murmured, “but I suppose the company helps.” He hummed in amusement and he must’ve seen where your eyes strayed because at some point, you two had shared a kiss. He tasted sweet, like the berries you so often found him eating. The kiss was soft and genuine, it was time stopping and innocent. The first of what you hoped would be many. When you pulled away he couldn’t help but leave one last quick peck against your lips before letting you go. Not too far, his hand still gently holding you close. “Thank you.” So’lek muttered.
“For what, the crown, or the kiss?” You joked and he rolled his eyes in feign annoyance before letting you go. You laughed together and you would wonder if you would have more quiet days like these. You hoped.

"Enemies" to lovers with Matt | Aching |
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
thank you so much @fl3wers for the request!! sorry it took so long my love, college was on my ass 😭
warnings: all lowercase, angsty with a dash of fluff, slow-burn/pining
word count: 1.2k

he was just annoying. not necessarily mean or cruel. and you didn't hate him but he was so gorgeous and so unavailable that you didn't know whether to jump his bones or smack him. not that you'd do either of course. he's nicks brother.
you knew that matt was an anxious person, quiet at times too. maybe you freaked him out with how you talked nonstop whenever you got passionate about things, and maybe the way you always forgot where you put things made him impatient, and maybe the fact that you still talked to him even though you drove him crazy just pushed him into hating you more.
“why are you still here, don't you have a home to go back to?” matt asked, standing in the doorway of the kitchen, his hands gripping the door frame above his head as he tilted his head like an inquisitive puppy.
“why? you sick of me already sunshine?” you teased, poking his ribs as you rolled your eyes, brushing past him to grab your keys.
“hey! where are you going?” he asked immediately, his arm instinctively wrapping around your waist to pull you back to him. you immediately pulled his arm away from you, ignoring your heart pounding from his simple touch.
“you just asked me to leave dipshit.” you teased, looking at him with a dead stare, your arms crossed. he rolled his eyes at you but you cut him off before he could protest.
“I'm going home” you replied matter-of-factly, his eyes bore into yours before they moved to scan your face. you could've sworn they lingered on your lips for a moment but why would they? omfg focus.
“its past two am.” he stated.
“well done, you can tell the time bernard.”
he rolled his eyes at you, his jaw clenching. fuck why did have to look like that. you turned away from him, moving to grab your jacket but matt stepped in front of you, your head crashing into him. you shove him gently, his hands wrapping around your wrists in annoyance.
“I'm not letting you go home this late, it's too dangerous” he shook his head, a light blush dusting his cheeks, “nick would never forgive me if anything happened to you” he muttered, “stop being stubborn and accept me actually being nice to you for once”
you blushed, looking down at your feet. you hated that he was right, and you hated that he was being nice and you hated his beautiful face.
“fine” you spit out, like the word was on fire in your mouth.
“you can stay in my bed.” he said like it was obvious, letting your wrists go before swiping your keys from the counter and walking away, leaving you standing in the kitchen.
●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●
you ignored his instruction, walking to nicks room instead to ask if you could stay with him. you opened the door, sighing as you see chris's head above the covers with nick snoring beside him. fuck chris and never sleeping in his own bed.
you sighed, closing the door and preparing your stuff to sleep on the sofa but to your surprise, you find matt laying on the sofa, his head resting on his arm as he scrolled through his phone.
“go to your bed matt” you sighed, hitting him on the head with a spare pillow. he laughed at your attack, throwing a cushion back at you.
“see this is why I'm not nice to you, you're never grateful” he smirked, “I told you to take my bed, I'm okay here.”
“you can't tell me what to do bernard” his jaw clenched at the nickname, his eyes closing in frustration.
“fine.” he groaned.
he got up, moving his stuff from the sofa. you hopped on the sofa the second he got off and started making yourself comfortable when you noticed matt do the same on the floor beside you.
“matt what the fuck, go to bed” you laughed. he ignored you, placing down his pillow (and stuffed animal) and getting comfortable.
“you're not the only one who can be stubborn” he smirked, looking up at you smugly as he pulled his blanket around his shoulders.
“youre ridiculous” you rolled your eyes but your cheeks gave you away. you laid back down so he could no longer see your blushing cheeks. you longed to see his face as he continued his teasing but didn’t trust yourself to not kiss him to shut him up.
“youre the one who passed up my gracious offer.” he teased.
“and you're the one who'd rather sleep on the floor than his own bed just to spite me” you teased back, biting your lip to stop yourself from laughing. there were a couple beats of silence before matt spoke again.
“it's not to spite you”
“what's it for then?” you asked shyly, turning on your side so you were facing towards him, despite still not being able to see his face, just the tips of his hair.
“I don't want to be alone” he whispered.
you quietened, looking down at him shyly.
“you must be pretty lonely if you'd rather have me for company than be alone”
“shut up” he laughed, throwing a pillow at you as you keel over, holding your tummy in laughter.
you both continued your conversation into the night, laughing and joking like you were childhood best friends. it almost felt like a sin, a secret crime committed by your forbidden friendship. you left behind your roles as rivals and simply existed in dumb jokes and embarrassing stories and fond memories.
the night made him softer and it made it harder for you to pretend to hate him. you wished that you were next to him, that you were in his bed with him and that you could hold his hand and play with his hair. you hated how he made you feel like a dumb child with a crush, craving domesticity.
you listened to him tell you about a hockey game where he ended up being sent off (again), his voice lulling you to sleep. everything in you ached for him, you craved closeness and sleepily you reached down for him.
matt noticed your outstretched arm hanging off the sofa. he reached to hold your hand, his heart aching for you close to him but stopped himself, blush rising on his cheeks.
you couldn't have possibly been reaching for him because this wasn't a movie where the boy ends up with his brothers best friend. he turned over, silently cursing himself for starting a dumb rivalry with you instead of kissing you when he got the chance. and so he fell asleep wishing that you had taken his bed so he could've laid with you instead of regretting his choices.
when you woke up, his stuff was gone and you realised he went back to his bed at some point during the night. you sighed, thinking that maybe you two were finally going to drop the facade. that maybe you were what he wanted and not the dumb fights. and so you stared up at the ceiling and wondered if your late night talk was all in your dreams when you should have been waking up with him instead.

Random Drabble- Jenna
summary - a thunderstorm scares you
𓀬𓀬𓀬𓀬𓀬𓀬𓀬𓀬𓀬𓀬𓀬
You jumped, hugging your knees closer as the sky boomed from outside. Flashes of lightening briefly illuminated your bedroom for a few seconds before leaving you in a heap of darkness. You shook quietly, trying to make yourself small and unnoticeable to the unseen force outside.
Thunderstorms had always been terrifying to you; ever since you were a little girl stuck alone in your little attic bedroom where you could hear every crash and bellow from the clouds. You used to be able to combat it with running to your parents room to huddle yourself into your mom’s arms, but after you moved out you had no relief system.
“Baby..?” A groggy voice came from your left, causing you to flinch at the abrupt sound.
Jenna sat up, reaching out to put her hand on your thigh. She felt your skin shake under her fingers, goosebumps rising on your leg. Even though the room was dark, she could just make out the image of your distressed state. Your bottom lip was wobbling, eyes flooding with tears while you whimpered in fear.
The sight broke her heart, and all she wanted to do was hold you close as she possibly could.
“Honey what’s wrong?” She asked softly, scooching closer until she could wrap her arm around your shoulders, “Did you have a nightmare?”
You were unresponsive, your eyes wide and bloodshot as you stared at the rainswept windows in fear. Jenna followed your gaze, the situation immediately clicking in her mind when she turned back to you.
“Is it the thunder?”
You let out a small sob, ever so slightly leaning into her warm grasp. She cooed, pulling you close and down into her arms so you both would be laying down on the bed.
“C’mere.” She murmured, wrapping you up in her arms before pulling the blanket over you both, “I’ll keep you safe my love.”
You sighed, tucking yourself under Jenna’s chin and snuggling into her loving hold. She was warm, smelling of her earthy body wash from her shower hours earlier. Your face pressed against her chest, the sound of her gentle heartbeat calming your hammering one. Your eyes fell shut, a small smile of contentment appearing on your face.
“Thank you.” You whispered to your girl, pressing your lips to her collar bone before cuddling into her warmth.
“Of course, I always got you.” Jenna cooed, kissing the top of your head and pulling your tighter into her warm embrace.
You melted in her hold, all fear from before washed away with Jenna’s love.

"He's not getting any better."
Killer paced outside the big black door, his hands squeezing his skull together. He was panicking, and he didn't know what to do.
Dust came out with a list of things the boss would need, but none of them were obtainable anytime soon.
Horror did his best to slave in the kitchen, but the boss would barely eat anything.
In fact, he had been sick for weeks. Nightmare couldn't get out of his bed without throwing a heap of coughs. The gang had never seen him like this before, and it worried them. It was so bad that all missions and plans were cancelled week after week. Even Killer started to get bored. But all of them were concerned for their boss.
"What are we going to do?" Horror was the most concerned about Nightmare out of the three. He barely ate and slept just like the boss, all to make sure he was okay.
"Nothing we have is working," Dust flipped through his list again. "Everything that we would need is out of stock in the AUs we've been to... we've stolen it all."
"So then we go to more AUs and get more medicine!" Killer hissed, stopping his pacing. "We find more of it, and give it to boss..."
"It's not working!" Horror cried. "He's just gotten worse..."
"We need blue bone fiber," Dust said. "But... no one has it."
"The last time I saw it was when we were fighting the Star Sanses," Killer sighed. "There's no way they would give some to us..."
There was a moment of silence as Nightmare hauled a dozen or so coughs that echoed inside his room. Each cough hurt the trio's souls worse and worse. Although Nightmare could sometimes be cruel and unnerving, he was still their boss... and he took them in and cared for them.
"What if they did give it to us?" Horror proposed.
Dust's face looked like he just got hit by a baseball bat. "The heck you mean, 'what if'? They would never!"
"They might," Horror argued. "This is Nightmare we are talking about... didn't Dream have some sort of attachment to him?"
"Duh, they're brothers," Killer rolled his eyes as his soul flickered. Black tears started to drip down his skull. "But that was like, 500 years ago-"
"But what if he still cared for Nightmare?" Horror continued. "Surely, we could convince him to give us some medicine to help his sick brother."
"And give away the info that he's deathly ill to our enemies? Are you out of your mind?!" Dust hissed, throwing his clipboard on the ground. "Think with your brain for once!"
Killer pulled on Dust's shoulder, holding him back. "Actually..." he put his phalanges to his chin. "We could... manipulate Dream."
"We've tried that before and it didn't work," Horror shook his head. "I say we tell him upfront we need his help."
"You two are insane," Dust pushed Killer away from him. "They. Would. Not. Help. Us."
"Dream tends to be more deceivable when Swap and Ink aren't with him..." Killer smirked. "And he goes to visit that weird stump often."
"Maybe we could catch him there..." Horror added. "And we should be honest with what we need."
"Eh, who needs honesty when we have knives?" Killer smirked, pulling one out of his pocket and twirling it before walking away. "Come on, I'm sure he'll be there tonight!"
Dust's head bellowed with smoke coming out of it before he shouted in frustration, following after Killer. He seemed to be in an argument with himself again, despite him claiming it was his brother.
Horror sighed, hoping beyond hope that this would work. He creaked open the door to his boss' chambers.
Nightmare's eyes were glazed over as he stared at the ceiling. His hands were properly folded across his chest, and he looked unnaturally gray. He didn't have enough energy to sit up when he coughed, which slowly suffocated him. Thankfully, Killer sat him up earlier when he was asleep, but it only helped a little.
Horror mouthed some comforting words to his boss and to himself before he closed the door and bounded after the others. This has to work... his chest ached with anxiety. I don't know what I would do if it doesn't...
* * *
The gentle ray of sunshine looked so dim in the dark clouds. His light wasn't as bright when he stared at the stump in a forgotten land. Oftentimes, he would mutter words unbeknownst to anyone else. Sometimes, onlookers could catch him crying.
Dust had difficulty keeping Killer quiet as they sneaked up to Dream. It took everything in Killer to not giggle from excitement. The grin on his face was one of a girl getting to buy her favorite doll.
Dust hated it.
Horror thought it was amusing.
The more Killer smiled and laughed, the most Dust threatened to push him out in the open, away from the bushes. Horror encouraged Dust not to. They were close to sneaking up on Dream. One wrong move, and their plans might be screwed.
"I'm sorry, mother," The voice of Dream stopped them in their tracks. Expect for Killer's giggling. Apparently, everything was funny to him.
"I am doing my best to protect the balance, but it's hard..." Dream sighed. "People don't have hope anymore, and it weakens me..."
Before Horror could stop Dust, he pushed the laughing Sans out into the open, cursing at him.
Dream spun around, wiping his face as he observed Killer. His eyes widened, and he summoned his bow.
"Woah woah woah," Killer glared at Dust in the bushes before slowly approaching the ray of sunshine. "No need to shoot that, I'm not here to fight."
"Then what are you here to do, Killer?" Dream glared, extending his bow with each step Killer took.
"Hey can we not just talk? Not everything's gotta be about fighting ya know?" Killer bowed playfully, one of his hands gripping a knife behind him. "It's not like I'm going-"
"What do you want, Killer?"
Killer shrugged and sighed like a kid before standing up straight. "I know you still care about your brother."
Dream's grip on his bow loosened. He seemed taken aback. "W-What do you mean?"
"Come on now, I know you still spare him in battles. I see how you fight him; I see how you hold back."
"He's taking too long..." Dust whispered. "We need that blue bone fiber fast... Nightmare skipped his other medicine."
Horror shifted uncomfortably, wondering if he should go up and be honest, unlike Killer's stalling.
"It doesn't matter if I hold back or not," Dream sighed. "I still will stop you!"
"If you wanted to stop us, you would have already," Killer shrugged. "Now, I've come to make an offer. One that... I don't think you can refuse."
"What offer is he talking about?" Dust hissed.
Horror shrugged. He too, had no idea.
Dream glanced over at the bushes where Dust and Horror were hiding. His eyes narrowed in suspicion, but he lowered his bow. "What... offer?"
"Tell you what, Dreamy," Killer took another step up the hill. "How about we end this lil war of ours? Let's make a deal, and neither of us have to suffer."
"What's the catch?" Dream asked.
Horror couldn't wait any longer, Killer was taking too long. He sprang up from the bush and ran over to where Killer was. "We need blue bone fiber!"
Dream took a step back in surprise, before narrowing his eyes at the two. "Let me guess, Dust is with you too?"
"Idiots," Dust hissed as he casually trailed behind.
Dream shook his head and backed away. "Nuh uh, I ain't getting ambushed by you three-"
"We are not here to fight, Dream," Horror sighed. "Nightmare is sick... very sick... it's why you haven't seen us."
"We need the blue bone fiber to heal him, stat." Dust added.
Horror watched the conflicting emotions swirl in the sunshine's eyes. So he does still care, huh.
"That... makes sense," Dream whispered.
"I was getting there, guys!" Killer rolled his eyes. "I was striking a deal!"
"Nightmare wouldn't agree to a deal without his permission!" Dust barked.
"To save his life, he might!"
"That's not-"
"Boys," Dream interrupted them. "Look, I understand the dire of your situation. I can give Nightmare the blue bone fiber that I have... on one condition."
"Anything," Horror answered before the others could speak.
"I will go give him the fiber."
"Ain't no way," Dust shook his head. "Boss would not be happy about that."
Killer laughed. "So, you can kill him with your positivity?"
"I wouldn't kill him," Dream sighed. "I just... wish to see him again. If he's not so busy trying to kill me... maybe he will just hear me out..."
"You can give it to him," Horror answered. "Anything to save his life."
Dream stared at Horror for a long time before he smiled softly. "I'm glad he has you guys. You care about him... You risked coming to me to save him, it shows a lot. Thank you for... taking care of him all this time."
"Oh whatever," Dust sighed. "Can you give him the blue bone fiber already?"
"I will go grab it, and I'll meet you at the castle." Dream replied.
"Well hurry up," Dust hissed as he dragged Killer by the arm. "Your brother doesn't have long."
* * *
"He's in there."
Dream nodded softly before following Horror into Nightmare's room. The sunshine winced as he came in direct contact with negativity. It didn't slow his pace, however. He had a mission to save his brother, regardless if the murder trio liked it or not.
Nightmare's hands shook as Dream got closer. "What... are you... doing here..."
Horror found it intriguing that Dream remained silent as he crushed the blue bone fiber in the bowl. He sat on the edge of the bed and slowly fed it to Nightmare, the negative unable to resist.
"What did you... do..."
"Blue bone fiber," Dream answered his brother. "It will heal you within the next two days or so."
Boss seemed bewildered, and his eyes barely opened as he glanced at Dream. "W... why?"
"I..." Dream paused, wiping his teary eyes again. "I don't want to fight anymore. I miss my brother... I just want to have peace with you..."
Nightmare's breath was shaky as he tried to swallow the remaining fiber. "You... missed me?"
"I've always missed you," Dream sighed. "I never liked fighting you. I just did so you would stop killing people..."
"I..."
"But that doesn't matter right now," Dream continued. "I want you to get better, and I want you to recover and be okay. I care about you..."
Horror watched as Nightmare's weak hand barely touched Dream's.
"... I... care about you... too..."
Dream had to hold in his positive feelings of reassurance and resolution as he grasped Nightmare's hand. "I'll be here for you, brother."
Nightmare coughed again. "Go... now..."
Dream nodded and squeezed his brother's hand one more time before stepping towards the door, Horror following close behind. He couldn't help but notice a small smile on his boss' face before shutting the door. He sighed softly as he glanced at Dream. "Thank you, I don't know how to repay you."
The widest smile covered Dream's face as he brushed his arms and cried happy tears for the first time in a while.
"No, thank you."

"I'm afraid of you."
Pairing: Sigtryggr Ivarsson x Fem!Reader Uthred's daughter and Stiorra's older sister
Notes: This is my first fic about Sigtryggr so if you notice something out of character for him or some spelling mistakes, please tell me :) I'm also lowkey highkey scared to post this because I've never truly written anything to the public 😩 but I know that by practicing my writing will slowly get better as time goes on so please give me some pointers if you want it will be greatly appricated- anywho hope you enjoy~
warnings: talk of childbirth/death but its just one line and doesn't get talked about again.
Y/n sat in silence - head resting on her hands that were interlocked under her chin starring at a book Sigtryggr asked her to read to him blankly, knowing that her sister was okay and that no one would harm her, she wasn't worried about Edward's family as she had a feeling they were going to be used as pawns or something of the sort.
She had already talked to Sigtryggr and had told him everything he had asked for in return for the security that her sister wouldn't be harmed to which he had agreed - she couldn't deny the warmth that spread through her when he had promised that he would not let anyone hurt her or her sister.
In truth, for the past few weeks she had grown quite close with him, Sigtryggr even going as far as to let her see Stiorra herself to make sure she was alright. Sigtryggr managed to figure her out - something most men couldn't do, and that terrified her. She had built walls around herself so that no one could get close to her, she didn't want to lose anyone else and he managed to make his way right into her heart and made her walls crumble to the ground while she stood watching them fall and there was nothing she could do about it.
Sigtryggr silently watched her from the opposite side of the room a small smile playing at his lips as she sighed "What is it?" Y/n turned to look at him "This is so stupid, I'm bored, tired, and hungry, and I'm tired of reading, my brain feels like it's being tortured" Y/n scoffed before pushing the book away and leaning her head on the table.
She heard Sigtryggr chuckle at her and lifted her head "What?" Sigtryggr moved to sit in front of her, handing her some bread, his fingers lightly touching hers as she grabbed it "Well then, you shall take a break. Tell me more about yourself, you said you often thought of your future, tell me about it" He asked her, only for information and totally not just him wanting to learn even more about her or anything "I want to go on a couple adventures, maybe own my own bakery, I refuse to have children so maybe have a cat or two, and then live a quiet and peaceful life," Y/n says as she looked up at him
Sigtryggr smiled at her and tilted his head "No children? why is that?" Sigtryggr asked her curiously and Y/n scoffed at the question not hesitating to answer him "I have no maternal bone in my body, when I hear a child cry I do not feel the need to comfort it instead I pray to the gods that it shuts up, and when a child falls I have no feeling to comfort them in fact i find it rather amusing." Y/n leaned back "Plus i don't want to die giving birth, it scares me" Sigtryggr nodded "that's understandable" it got quiet for a few moments before Sigtryggr got called for by someone and he excused himself, gently touching her shoulder as he went by.
Y/n sat quietly by herself, his touch set her skin on fire and she couldn't help but think of what it would feel like touching all over her body, she quickly shook her head and took a deep breath in trying to calm herself but it didn't do much to calm the heat her body was forming.
-----
About another two weeks had gone by and her body craved him, she wanted him more than anything and that terrified her, she didn't know it was possible to want something so much, didn't help that she would make up so many excuses just to get him to touch her, it was almost pathetic, she felt herself falling for him and she couldn't stop herself.
Similarly Sigtryggr was having the same problem, every time she asked for this or that and he let his touch linger on her, he knew that he was falling for her, but he wasn't upset by finding out he was, he was just worried about what would happen to her.
She sat down at the table back facing the door when he walked in "I'm afraid of you, afraid of the feelings that you make me have. Of how tempting it is to make excuses just to feel your touch on my skin, of lying to myself. I'm afraid of the feelings that consume my entire being when you come around, or when i think of you. I'm scared about how much I feel for you. I can't hide it anymore- I'm tired of hiding it and being afraid of you rejecting me, Of being scared of what I want" Y/n says to him as she stands up turning to face him
Sigtryggr tilts his head to the side and slowly steps forward to stand in front of her, "And what do you want?" His voice is firm but gentle "I want you" she responded almost instantly "I want you so much it scares me" Y/n said again her voice slightly quivering
Sigtryggr looked at her and nodded his head "Then you will have me, I was just about to come and tell you a deal has been made. You will come with me to Eorforwic, I will give you everything you wanted, adventures, your own bakery, cats, and a peaceful, quiet life"
Sigtryggr gently holds onto the sides of her face "If you would be willing to go with me, will you?" he asks looking in her eyes "I would happily go with you, Sigtryggr" Y/n smiles and pulls him closer to her and lays a gentle kiss on his lips.
-----
Please 🙏 please tell me how it was, did you enjoy it? Any feedback helps and is greatly appreciated <33 Also before I forget Please reblog 😊
@valeskafics @sihtricfedaraaahvicius I'm tagging you both just because I wanna know what you guys think of this <3

“Well, if this is your idea of necessary training, Az, you had better watch out before I try finding new powers of my own.”
Rhysand’s voice echoed in the modest living room, the amusement lacing each word sobering you up faster than a bucket of ice water ever could. You looked over your shoulder and hissed harshly at the man standing in the doorway, the length of your wings snapping back to their usual folded position in response to the intrusion.
Your centuries-old reflexes had you about ready to launch yourself at Rhysand, but Azriel’s hands landed on your hips and kept you from leaping backwards. You struggled against his hold for only a second before ceasing your efforts, regaining control over your instincts. You remained tense as a coiled spring, distrusting the High Lord.
“Not the best moment, Rhys.” Azriel sighed, dropping his head back lightly on the backrest’s cushioning.
“By all means,” Rhysand purred, “don’t let me stop you.”
You narrowed your eyes at him, darkness by his feet almost unnoticeably flickering as your intertwined shadows made their way back into the room. You lost track of them quickly as they blended into Azriel’s, but you felt their presence around you as they distantly told you there was a box of spare linens in the attic.
You fought the urge to slap them away, frustration slipping into your very bones. They had apparently been too busy to count blankets to notice an entire person coming into the very small house. Spatial awareness was visibly not their forte.
“What,” you sneered, ignoring the pressure Azriel added to your hips in warning, “So bored of your own sex life that you have to live vicariously through other people’s?”
Rhysand rolled his eyes, unimpressed by your taunt. “All that training did not include manners, it would seem. Noted.”
“How about you shove your manners up your-”
Azriel cut you off before you could further insult the High Lord, his shadows pushing Rhysand encouragingly towards the kitchen. “Alright, let’s not do that. Rhys will you just- just give us a minute, alright?”
Rhysand sent another smirk your way, winking. “I’ll let you lovebirds finish what you were doing.”
You snarled as he turned around, still immobilized by muscled arms. “He better sleep with one eye open,” you hissed once he left the room. Azriel reluctantly let go of you and you sprung to your feet, using every last bit of your restraint not to follow into the kitchen. You fiddled with a fallen feather, and your shadows trailed the man, assuring you they’d report back on any suspicious activity. If they even kept their attention on him long enough, you thought.
Azriel shook his head as he put his shirt back on. “Can we reschedule the regicide for another day,” he sighed. “He just wants to talk.”
“About what.”
“About you not being a threat to the Night Court. My impression is that you’re not currently helping your case, I’m sure you know why.”
“I don’t need that asshole’s permission-”
Azriel’s eyes narrowed, and he took a slow step towards you. “Watch it.” he snapped.“You’ve made your opinion about him abundantly clear, but I won’t tolerate insults. You do, in fact, need his permission to be here, so I encourage you to take it down a notch and go talk to him.”
You gritted your teeth, pacing throughout the room. You’d tried all week to get a clearer idea of who Rhysand actually was, and you’d gotten nothing more than ‘You can ask him.’ in return. If anything, the evasiveness around the man’s character had only made you more distrustful of him.
Your twin shadows slithered back to you, reporting nothing other than the fact that Rhysand was clearly listening in. That, you’d expected.
“Fine. But if he tries anything-”
“He won’t.” Azriel assured you swiftly, almost pleading. “Nothing more than a conversation, I promise you.”
You barely kept yourself from flinching at his last words. ‘Promises’, you’d heard that too many times. Nevertheless, you finally nodded, and the relief on his face was clear as day. You knew this would happen sooner or later. He softly laid his hand on your lower back, careful to avoid sensitive areas, and ushered you towards the kitchen.
Rhysand sat comfortably with a bottle of red wine at the dining room table, his wings almost brushing the floor. The open layout of the kitchen gave you enough space that you weren’t anywhere near close to him, and you hesitated to come closer. Azriel tried to lead you to the delicately carved oak table to sit down as well, but you remained standing. He gave in to your silent compromise and leaned against the kitchen isle at your side. Your shadows kept to themselves, hiding in your feathers.
All three of you stood in silence for a moment, too tense for the situation to be considered awkward. This was a battle, you knew, and you would not lose. You kept your eyes firmly on Rhysand, unwilling to show any sign of weakness. Your mental walls were stacked as high as they could go, ready for assault.
Rhysand’s silken voice was the one to cut through the silence that hung over the room, gesturing towards you.
“So few words from someone who’d been planning my assassination only a second ago. Still thinking up new ways to accomplish the feat?”
“Depends.” you said, infusing boredom into your every word. “Are you here to taunt and provoke me, or can we talk like adults and get it over with?”
He tsked and shook his head in disappointment. “So preoccupied with efficiency. No word of thanks for the man who has so kindly let you into his court?”
“I never asked for anything. If you want me to leave, you just have to say the word.” you said flatly.
Azriel’s hold on the kitchen counter tightened and you took a step, your arm brushing his. In the periphery of your vision, you saw his hands loosen, shifting closer to you. Barely noticeable, but just enough for Rhysand to raise an eyebrow, and you hated how vulnerable such a simple act made you feel.
“Ah,” he said, looking towards Azriel, a glimmer in his eyes before turning back to you. “I see. Well, you haven’t caused any trouble yet, but you must understand why I’m curious about what this ‘training’ consists of. Care to clue me in?”
Azriel looked towards you, a nod toward Rhysand indicating not so subtly that you’d be doing the talking. You took a calming breath.
“We have been working on… powers I can apparently wield.” you said, carefully choosing each word. “More specifically, on finding a way for me to use them consciously rather than instinctively.”
“Go on.” Rhysand encouraged, firm but without any anger or surprise.
“We have confirmed that I can use someone else’s powers as my own, that’s what happened with Feyre in the study.”
His gaze wavered, brows furrowing. “And how are you sure that they’re not yours?”
You didn’t reply, instead willing your lighter shadow to slip out from your plumage and explore the room. It joined with Azriel’s own companions, briefly brushing against his dark curls before making its way towards the dining table. It flowed over the wooden surface, a small cloud of white smoke dancing just out of Rhysand’s reach. He leaned forward, inspecting it, but the shadow flickered and skittered back to you, taking refuge in your feathers once more.
“I’m not a Shadowsinger. Well, I wasn’t one before arriving in Velaris, at least.” Before you met Azriel, you noted to yourself. “We’re still not sure how it all works. Nesta explained that she didn’t feel any power missing, and Az…” You threw a glance at him in confirmation.
“I didn’t, don’t, feel anything amiss. With Nesta, it had stopped the second you’d realized what you were doing, but her shadows haven’t dissipated. I don’t understand how, but she does have the ability, Rhys.”
Rhysand looked… he looked concerned at the implications.
“They’re like familiars.” he mumbled.
“What?” you asked, his voice so low you couldn’t make out the words.
“They’re like familiars.” he said again, louder. “When you conjure them, you use a burst of energy in a short period of time that lingers over time. They don’t fade away because in normal circumstances they don’t need a constant flow of power.”
“That could explain it.” Azriel said, nodding, “We haven’t tested the limits of it so far. Training has been…” he hesitated, and you froze. It was true that there were many words one could use to describe how you’d progressed, ‘not at all’ and ‘a waste of time’ at the front of your mind.
“Progress as been next to non-existent.” you cut in. Azriel frowned at your side and went to speak again, most probably to tell you that your shadows were a good sign of progress, but you didn’t give him the chance to coddle you. “At this rate, I might be able to start a forest fire in a couple centuries. I’m more of a danger to myself than to any of you.”
Both of their eyes snapped to yours, and you winced at Azriel’s concern. Ah, why were you never able to keep yourself from oversharing?
“What do you mean, Dove?” he asked carefully.
“Look,” you said, avoiding his stare, “We’ve established that these powers are not mine, and that they don’t come from your reserves either. I’m apparently making up these abilities out of thin air. So, where’s the catch, who or what’s paying for it? There has to be a give and take, there always is. I might not have noticed anything yet, but something or someone is paying the price for what I’m doing.”
In truth, the thought had lingered in the back of your mind since the moment Nesta had revealed her power was intact after your scuffle. You were bargaining with powers you did not understand, racking up a debt of uncertain value, and you didn’t see a scenario in which it would end well.
“Why didn’t you say anything?” Azriel breathed, his hand gently guiding your head back to him. You were still very aware of Rhysand’s presence in the room and his analysis of you both, and you pushed away to walk to the other side of the kitchen counter. You still refused to look at him.
“It doesn’t matter. I… have to train, don’t I? That’s how I can stay here.” With you, you didn’t add, trying and failing to sound as detached as you were earlier. “I understand the conditions of my presence here, and what will happen if I’m considered a possible threat.”
Azriel ran a frustrated hand through his hair and a low growl escaped him, his shadows rippling around him with a renewed fervor like winds in a storm. Your own were pleading to join them, but you held firm against their song.
“Dove, you-”
Rhysand’s voice resounded gravely across the room, stopping him in his tracks. “I think we need to clarify some things.” he said, looking unpleased at Azriel.
There it was, you thought, you’d given yourself away. What High Lord would let you in their court when you were possibly putting citizens in danger? You were nothing but a volatile threat to a leader. You reinforced your mental shields, forcing yourself not to flinch when you felt the unfortunate familiar talons grate at your mind, and furtively looked around the room. Your inability to keep your mouth shut was once again going to cost you your freedom.
Not this time.
Two doors, 3 windows. The windows were out of the question, you could never fit your wings through them despite their size, and one of the doors was blocked by Azriel’s large frame and his own fully flared wings. A common sign of anger, you knew that.  That left the other door, the easiest to reach. Only a few feet to your right, right where the dining room seemed to start. Past that, no obstacles other than the front door. You evaluated the distance of the two men in relation to yourself.
You could make it, but you’d have to fly to get away, if you even could. You’d used the privacy of your guest room to stretch and move them, but you weren’t sure you could hoist yourself up in the air. There was a small ridge overlooking the Sidra next to this house… maybe it would be enough to bring you airborne. You’d just have to climb the stairs to the lookout.
You’d have no choice but to try. You tensed, ready to spring into action.
Rhysand’s voice resonated through the room again with an edge it had previously lacked. “Did you think you were on trial?”
Azriel took a step towards you, and you took one in turn towards the door. Your chest squeezed at the hurt that flashed across his face. You wished you could go to him, you wanted to go to him, but he was still a subject of the Night court. Rhysand called the shots. Had all of this been a set up?
“Aren’t I?” you asked carefully, keeping both men within your sights as you angled yourself subtly towards your planned exit.
“No, of course not!” Azriel protested sharply, taking another step. You did the same. He looked agitated, too agitated.
“You are not a prisoner here,” Rhysand stated, “and it seems that our good clueless friend here seems to not have made it clear enough.”
You stilled under their eyes, evaluating the situation. You wouldn’t be able to detect deception from Rhysand, not if he’d been fooling the entirety of Prythian for centuries. Instead, you looked towards Azriel.
You almost stepped forward at the devastation you found in him and his surrounding shadows, the latter reacting to the desperate song yours sent their way. Maker, it was all you could hear, the deafening silence broken only by their longing. Azriel took another step, raising a hand towards you gently.
“Az, don’t-” Rhysand warned, but it did not reach his brother’s ears.
“Dove, please, we only want to help you.”
Help you? Voices rang around you. Your scars were flayed back to life, flames licking at your back and wings.
‘Quit whining child, this is all for your own good.’
‘You can end the pain if you earn it.’
‘We’ll stop if you stop hiding your powers, dear.’
‘We’re only trying to help you; you’ll be grateful when you’re older.’
‘We’re only trying to help-’
‘We’re only trying to help-’
No, no, no, no, no, not again-
Your head yelled at you to run, run, run. Darkness, your mind wished for, darkness. Rhysand’s darkness, you realized. You couldn’t tell who started it, him or you, but an absolute void of light was created, snuffing out the sunlight streaming through the windows as easily as you would a candle. You heard Azriel shouting your name in the pitch black of the room, but you were already running. His voice followed you into the sun.
It was only when you reached the rocky ledge that you dared to look back. Azriel was right outside the house, violently trying to shake off the grip Rhysand had on him, holding him back. You couldn’t make out what he was saying to the shaking man in his arms through the ringing in your ears.
Azriel shouted for you one last time, eyes wide, when you used your momentum to propel you off the rocks of the lookout in a dive down towards the Sidra’s rushing water. It enveloped you in its noise and offered you a brief respite from your mind.
At the last moment possible, praying to the Mother to give you a helping hand this one time, you snapped your wings open to catch an air current. You thrust desperately against gravity, every muscle in agony, and your confidence wavered as you approached the water rapidly. If you hit the surface at this speed, you thought, at least it would be a swift death.
You doubled your efforts with a roar, using every second of your training to save you from the icy wall, still going down, down down until- you finally caught a strong draft. The tips of your feathers barely brushed the water, a moment stopped in time as you witnessed the reflection of your spread wings at your sides, black and white shining in the sun’s light, before you were shooting back into the sky.
You didn’t dare look back as you shot through the sky, heading for anywhere that wasn’t here.

Home Is Where You Are | Fili x gn!reader
『••✎••』
↳ ❝ Hi can I request the prompt "It ain't home without you" with fili please? ❞
: ̗̀➛ It's your job to protect him and to keep him alive, but it isn't your job to worm your way into his heart.
: ̗̀➛ brief mentions of war and violence
•───────────────★•♛•★──────────────•
It was a lonely and cold night, and unable to get warm enough in your spot at the edge of the camp, you settled for instead heading over to the small fire where Fili was sat; in the moonlight, his pretty blue eyes looked electric.
Alight with thousands of stars that you could not see, and aflame with the soft crackling fire as it reflected the orange and yellow hues.
You sighed as you sat beside him, shuffling forward slightly so that you could rest your head on his lap; gazing up at him as he flinched for a moment at the sudden contact.
But he soon settled, relaxing and letting his hand drift to your forehead as he felt the soft head radiating from your skin. Of all of the Company, you were closest to Fili without a single doubt.
You had been with the Company since the beginning, hired by Gandalf to protect Fili and Kili and to ensure that the two brothers survived everything that was thrown at them; but what you had never expected was that you would end up becoming rather attached to one of the brothers, and that every time you looked into his beautiful eyes, you would feel like you were finally home.
You shifted around a little, almost nuzzling into his stomach as you got comfortable against him; Fili didn’t mind, although he couldn’t help but to smile.
He knew that you had a reputation to uphold, after all, you were famous throughout Middle Earth - from the Shire through to Rohan - for being essentially fearless.
A warrior so strong, you had fought in many wars, and had been decorated by your King accordingly; those who bore white flags with red crosses were terrified of you, and would cower at the mere mention of your name.
They knew who you were; the warrior with the red dragon on their breastplate and the sword made of dragon bones. The warrior who spoke a language older than Elvish, and who would stop at nothing to defend his homeland from those who carried the white banner with the red cross upon it.
The warrior who spoke the dragon’s tongue, and who had charmed their way into Fili’s heart so easily.
Fili knew your reputation, but he also knew Thorin’s words about you, as they echoed in his head every time you were close.
“Be careful of that one, those who sell their swords sell their souls along with it.”
But you weren’t like that, Fili knew that. You accepted the job because you owed Gandalf a favour, and that was all. You didn’t sell your sword at all, you were hired to fulfil the end of a favour.
That was all, and you made it incredibly clear that you would never accept another job offer of the same or similar calibre again.
But Fili’s uncle’s words weighed heavily upon his shoulders, even if you did feel like home every time you were close to him; even if the soft warmth of your forehead felt the same as coming home to a familiar bed.
He knew, though, nothing could or would ever come of it.
You wriggled a little, humming softly to yourself for a moment. “Fili?”
He nodded, a soft thrum coming from the very back of his throat as he lazily looked down at you. “Yes?”
“Is it odd that I feel like it ain’t home without you?” You asked quietly, all but twiddling your thumbs as you stared up at him so gently, your gaze all too soft on him.
But he shook his head, daring to lick his lips as he tilted his head slightly to the side. “No… in all honesty and truth, I can’t help but to feel the same - I feel as if the softest of touches from you is the same as coming back to my own bed.”
You could only smile as you let out a quiet yawn, stretching ever so slightly. “And what about your uncle? Thorin doesn’t exactly seem all that keen on me.”
Fili shrugged as he dared to smile back, slowly shaking his head. “Allow me to handle Thorin. I can deal with him, I can convince him that you are not what he thinks you are.”
You frowned a little, swallowing thickly and hoping that he didn’t see how you were struggling to get through to it. “But how confident in that are you, exactly?”
“Very,” Fili nodded, daring to grin at you as he gently stroked your cheek. “As long as you are my home, I will be yours, and I will do everything I can to convince my uncle that we belong together.”
Struggling to sit up, you rolled your eyes when he laughed at your efforts before pulling you onto his lap; letting you straddle his waist as he rested his hands on your thighs and tilted his head to the side, humming ever so softly. Gently, he ran his hands up and down your thighs.
“Tell me that I am yours,” he whispered softly. “And I will tell you that you are mine.”
You nodded, clasping your hands behind his neck as you stared at his mouth for a moment. Your voice coming out as a mere whisper. “I am all yours, Fili.”
“And I am yours,” he murmured gently, his hands trailing up so that one rested on your middle and the other rested at the back of your neck. All too tempted to pull you in closer. “Always.”
“Always,” you repeated. “Are you sure you don’t want my help with confronting Thorin?”
Fili nodded slowly, licking his lips as his gaze dropped to your mouth. “I might need you to keep me alive.”
“That’s my job,” you laughed gently. “Isn’t it?”
He laughed along for a moment, but when you leaned in slightly, he could not help but to close the distance. His kiss was so soft and tender, and when you kissed him back, you could not deny: you were home.

dad!Steve Harrington x fem!reader [838 words]
The house still smelled like strawberries from that morning when Steve walked back in hours later, carrying another tub of them.
He found you on the couch, the living room windows open and letting in what little summer breeze there was, his own plaid boxers rolled up across your tummy, the slight round swell of it starting to show. It was hot enough in Hawkins to allow you to wear nothing but a sports bra on top, skin a little sticky and the tiny human inside of you doing its best to make you as uncomfortable as possible.
“There’s my girl,” Steve hummed, toeing off his shoes before coming to kneel in front of you, eyes fond as he pressed his elbows to the couch and greeted you with a kiss.
You accept it eagerly, missing him an embarrassing amount when he left for work, even if his shift was only a few hours long. Pregnancy hormones were sending you haywire, four months in and a new urgency had appeared for Steve, stronger than ever. You were borderline clingy, not that the boy minded, pouting when he left for work, craving his touch when he returned.
“Hi, baby,” you replied softly, sleep and the sticky heat making you lazy, stray hairs sticking to your neck, body sinking into the couch cushions. “How was work?”
Steve brushed back the baby hair, swept them behind your ears and brushed a thumb over your cheek. He told you all the time, but he missed you as much as you did him when he was gone.
“Boring,” he told you, “and quiet. Sorted out the delivery paperwork and wished I was with you the whole time.”
You lit up, coming a little bit alive at his words, eyes shiny as you gazed up at him. You were pleased, he could tell, shy about it, not wanting to come off as needy after Eddie cracked a joke the weekend before. Your friend had watched the two of you fondly, calling you a koala after you spent the night wrapped around your boyfriend.
He hadn’t been mean about it, but you’d flipped him off anyway.
“Missed you,” Steve assured you, pressing another kiss to your lips, lingering there and sighing happily. You still tasted like strawberries, the one thing baby seemed to crave the most. “And you,” he murmured, pulling away from your lips only to drop a kiss to your rounded tummy.
“Have we been behaving?” Steve asked, a hand rubbing over your ribs, drawing up to squeeze gently at your shoulder, the nape of your neck.
You hummed appreciatively, his warm, rough hands doing wonderfully sweet things to your tired body, your stretched skin, your achy bones. You let your head drop, cheek pushed to a cushion to gaze at him and the sight of you made his heart stutter. You looked awfully pretty, although you’d disagree.
Cheeks flushed, hair a messy riot, still sleep mussed and soft. He liked seeing you in his clothes as much as he liked seeing you out of them, but there was something extra sweet about the soft swell of your tummy covered by his underwear.
“Barely,” you pouted, circling an affectionate hand over your stomach. “Someone decided to start kicking as soon as I tried to take a nap.”
Steve tried hard not to grin, but failed miserably, hiding his smile against your stomach instead. He dropped another kiss there, sticky with fondness. “You’re bad to your poor mom,” he mumbled into your skin, but he didn’t sound all that admonishing.
He was gonna be such a soft dad.
“No sickness, though?” He asked, hopeful.
You smiled and shook your head, glad to have had at least one day this week free of the nausea that hit you as soon as you opened your eyes in the morning.
“Well, in that case,” Steve smiled, presenting the tub of ruby red strawberries he’d left on the side table. “Fresh from Joyce’s yard, Will dropped them off at the store for you.”
You let out an almost sinful moan at the sight, the fresh fruit still glittering from their wash in Joyce’s sink and Steve huffed out a laugh.
“Will I cut some up?”
“No, stay,” you frowned, unreasonably upset at the idea of him leaving for the kitchen, even if only for a few minutes. And although Steve smiled, he didn’t make fun, instead lifting your legs to sit next to you, letting your feet rest on his lap.
He let the tub balance on your thighs, passing you the biggest strawberry out of the pick.
“You gonna try and get some rest? Whilst the little gremlin is satisfied with Aunt Joyce’s offerings?”
It was easy to yawn then, admitting defeat as the sun shone through the window, warming the space on the couch that you lounged on. Steve’s hand found one foot, rubbing and squeezing softly at the bare sole.
“Only if you stay.”
Steve didn’t think it was an unreasonable request at all.
