“ tattoo’s “
The deepspace boys reacting to you getting a tattoo that they drew / wrote out for you.
Zayne:
At first, he was confused why you asked him to draw a little doodle for you out of no where
However he complied, drawing the first thing that came to mind - a jasmine flower.
It was beautiful, it was quick but you could tell he tried to make it look pretty for you. Even added a little shading, look at him.
After you got the tattoo placed on your shoulder, you pulled Zayne to the side saying “I have a surprise for you.”
Zayne watches you, suspiciously as he waits, arms crossed over his chest. “Is this another one of your tricks?”
You rolled your eyes and just pulled down the sleeve off of your shoulder, revealing the jasmine flower blooming. It looked like the drawing he gave you, snow flake etched within the petals and a cursive Z next to it in his handwriting. “Do you like it?” You asked, anxiety creeping through your chest as he simply stares, face blank. Not entirely blank, you realize, a smile at the corners of his lips, a small twinkle in his eye.
He reaches out, pulling you closer so he can admire the flower better. The smile grew slightly, as his fingers ran over the carefully drawn lines on your soft skin. He pressed a kiss to your forehead, placing his hand over the tattoo and rubbing his thumb against it. “It’s beautiful. It suits you well.” He murmured to you, and you smiled brightly, wrapping him in your tight embrace.
Now he knows it’s there, he always has a hand close to it. He keeps his hand on your shoulder, rubbing his thumb where the tattoo is. He presses kisses to it sometimes during tender moments in the morning, or during your little cuddle sessions before bed. He loves it, truly. He plans on getting one as well.
Rafayel:
He was delighted to give you a drawing, no matter how small it was. A doodle you wanted, so a doodle you got.
He drew an bright orange fish, and then another of your favorite color. They were intertwined, little cherry blossoms blooming at their sides. It was pretty, and he was more than proud of himself when he gave it to you.
You got it done a few days later after finding a trusted tattoo artist, and you were more than delighted when it was healed and more vibrant than ever. It was on your inner wrist.
When you walked in while Rafayel was painting and told him you had a surprise, he quirked a brow and grinned cheekily.
Rafayel tilted his head as you approached him, rolling up your long sleeve. He’d noticed you wearing more warm clothes however he just thought you were cold - not that you were hiding something. “What is it?” He asked, his voice soft and smooth as always. When you two weren’t playfully arguing anyways.
You thrusted your wrist towards him, and he furrowed his brows, glancing at it. His eyes widened and looked longer the next time, grasping your arm and looking at the colorful fish swimming together on your wrist. “Like it? It was a pain trying to hide it while it healed but..” you smiled happily, proud of yourself for keeping it hidden this long.
He nodded slowly. The cheeky look on his face had melted away, and he was simply in awe as he looked at it. His own art on your skin, forever. He ran his finger over the fish, and the small fancy ‘R’ along the side of the orange one. “You could’ve just asked me to draw you a tattoo. Didn’t have to keep it a secret you know.” He joked, smiling at you, and then returning his gaze to the bright colored ink. He pressed a kiss against your wrist, soft and delicate, and then another on your lips.
You smiled against his lips and shrugged, “that would ruin the fun.” Resulting in him rolling his eyes, but giving another kiss against your wrist.
He already did so, but he kissed your wrist much more than before. He took any chance to pull up your tattoo, showing it off, explaining it was his art - and you were his beloved partner. Both things he absolutely loved more than anything. You, more than art. You were always his first priority, even if he tried to act all secretive about that fact. He was very bad at it.
Xavier:
He didn’t think much of it. You liked to keep little trinkets and this drawing he assumed would be one of them.
He drew a blue rabbit, holding a yellow star in its paws. It was adorable.
You had it done on your chest above your heart, adding a few more little stars and a moon around it.
You were at home and wearing a tank top, reminding yourself to show it to him. You approached Xavier in the kitchen and smiled brightly.
He looked up as you walked in, smiling softly back at your bright grin. He caught sight of it immediately. “What’s that?” He asked, meeting you half way and leaning in to look at the colorful ink, hand ghosting it just slightly.
You looked at him with the sweetest look, it melted his heart. “A little surprise. Do you like it?” You asked, hoping he did. It was written all over his face that he was positively delighted.
He nodded, pulling you close to look at it better. “It suits you.” He smiled and kissed the tip of your nose, “I should get one to match.”
When you two cuddle, he lays his head against it now. Or he presses a kiss to the bunny, and traces along the lines to fall asleep. He loves that you found the drawing nice enough to have on your skin permanently. Whenever it was shown in certain clothes he was almost smiling non stop, grasping your hand tightly.

. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. “ my shooting star. “
If someone asked you where home was, it wouldn’t be a place. Sure, your apartment was your home, you lived there, but when you said you wanted to go home you usually meant you were going to go see Xavier. He had been your home before you even realized it, but you would never complain because he was perfect. Sleepy all the time- but perfect.
You stand in a bar with your co workers, Tara sipping her fruity drink and glancing over at you. She grinned “you’re getting that look again.” She nudged your shoulder as you sipped your drink of choice. You blinked a few times and glanced over, raising a brow. She grinned even wider “you’re getting all mopey.” She poked your cheek.
You laughed softly at your drunk friend, gently pushing her finger away and trying to remember how much she had to drink. You sipped your drink and sighed “I’m not mopey. I just want to go home.” You explained vaguely. This resulted in even more giggling as she finished off her bright orange and red drink.
“You miss blondie.” She stated and motioned to your phone “ask him to pick you up! I’m.. going to stay here a while longer.” You shook your head and stood, pushing away her glass and putting the cash for your drinks and snacks on the bar counter for the barkeep, who nodded in acknowledgment before you spoke to Tara.
“No, sweets you are not. I’ll call you a cab, okay?” You told her, pulling her up from her chair. She agreed, she wasn’t a very fight-y drunk. The pair of you waved to the other hunters before stepping outside while you called a taxi for Tara. She melted into you, almost knocking you off balance as she babbled on about nonsense. Some of it seemed sentimental and some of it was words you swore she made up. When the cab got there, you helped her into the car and made sure she was all set and comfortable before bidding her goodbye.
“Byee!!!!” She smiled sweetly, waving as you shut the door. You imagine she waved back at you through the back window until the car turned a corner, or until you were just too far away to make out. Then, your phone buzzed. You glanced down at it, clicking into the notification.
Xavier꒰˶  - ˕ -꒱ ⌒)ᦱ: where are u?
You’d smile at the little sleeping bunny icon you put next to his contact name, but replied swiftly after it displayed read, because you didn’t want to make him worried by not replying. You’d done that before and he had tracked you down like a police dog.
You: just finished up with a little team dinner. Tara got drunk, sent her home w/ a taxi
Xavier꒰˶  - ˕ -꒱ ⌒)ᦱ: ohhh
Xavier꒰˶  - ˕ -꒱ ⌒)ᦱ: do u wanna walk home tgt? I’m nearby
You: Please!! We can sleep together at the house
Xavier꒰˶  - ˕ -꒱ ⌒)ᦱ: See you soon
You didn’t wait long. Xavier always seemed to be close by, it weirded you out at first but now it was almost comforting to think he was only a few steps away. You walked hand in hand, the feeling of loneliness in your chest now replaced with content. You didn’t have any fancy words for it, you just felt happy. You two didn’t share a home but he spent so much time over at your apartment he practically lived there, but the same goes for you at his. Since you felt too lazy to go up just one floor, you ended up staying in his apartment. You changed into comfortable clothes you left in the dresser in xaviers room, which also was.. yours at this point. You even left some of your stuffed animals here, and a few things like a brush, work papers, your books even sat in the corner of the room on the desk next to his laptop.
Xavier gently knocked on the door, “can I come in?” He asked, sleepiness always evident in his voice. It was almost cute.
“Come on in.” You replied, standing at the mirror in the bathroom that was in his room, touching up your hair and making sure you didn’t smell of alcohol. You heard him shuffle in, and saw him come up behind you in the mirror. He wrapped his arms around your waist, burying his face into the crook of your neck.
“I’m tired.” He complained, coming out as a mumble against your skins. You hummed in response and glanced at him, placing a hand over his firmly resting against your abdomen. He pulled you to the bed slowly but surely, and you had to stretch to turn off the bathroom light before it was out of reach. Xavier wasted no time at all, flicking off the bedroom light and pulling you down onto his large bed. You shifted, now facing him as he tangled his limbs with yours, already preparing to sleep. His head rested against your shoulder, his breath softly brushing against your neck as he held you tight. There was a long silence before you said,
“I missed you.” You almost whispered to him as you played with his hair. His fidgeting with your shirt paused, and he moved to look into your eyes.
They looked like a puppies. “Mm. Really?” He asked, a lazy, sweet smile resting over his lips. You nodded and he leaned in, nuzzling your noses together. ‘Bunny kisses’ you called them. It was a thing you two did, ‘your thing.’ “ ‘missed you too.” He whispered back, pressing a kiss to your lips. Kisses with him were never quick. There was never one. He pulled away but would kiss you again, and again, and again until he decided he had enough. Finally, he would kiss you a little longer this time, squeezing you close. It was gentle, always so soft and careful, however he kissed you as if he needed it like he needed air. When he pulled away, he looked so happy with himself, returning to the crook of your neck.
This warmth, the smell of lavender on the pillows, the familiar feeling of his slow deep breaths, the sound of the curtains being pushed by a gentle breeze, the feeling of now was home. This was where you belonged, you thought. Here in his arms, muttering soft sweet words to each other until you fell asleep. You leaned your head against his, curling around him slightly and tried to burn it into your mind. You needed to remember these little moments. They were your favorite.

“Soulmate.”
You keep having these little moments of Deja-vu with Rafayel.

. . . . . 𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 “ coming back to you. “
Recently, something strange has been happening. Especially whenever you’re with your boyfriend, Rafayel. This hasn’t happened before, sure you had gotten vague moments where you swore something had happened before but this was different, it was as if you had experienced it before.
The first time it happened, you were sitting alone in the art studio, laying on your back as you stared up at the book you held above you. You didn’t even notice Rafayel had gotten back until he was hovering over you with a sweet but ridiculous smile, looking very proud of himself as he watched you jump in surprise. You sat up and he pressed a swift kiss to your forehead, “Miss me?” He asked. You paused. This had happened before, your mind had told you.
Now you were sitting in a field, empty other than the plants and yourself. You wore clothes much different than now, almost as if you had time traveled. A book fell into your lap as someone shouted a ‘boo.’ You whipped around and found a man with glittering purple and pink eyes and fluffy purple hair beside you. He was wearing something strange too, a mask over the lower half of his face and clothes as if he were cosplaying some assassin. You sighed softly and shook your head, scolding him, however he shut you up with a swift kiss to your cheek as he asked you, “Did you miss me?”
It didn’t happen just once, either. But after that, it happened more frequently. It was more than confusing, you didn’t even have the words to describe the feeling. It wasn’t only confusing though, sometimes it was pleasant. Like that one time..
You sigh frustratingly as you stare at your drawing, Rafayel chuckling softly from behind you. He rested his chin against your shoulder, “you seem frustrated.” You nodded, explaining that no matter how hard you tried it didn’t come out right. He simply rubbed shapes into your side with his hand, “it’s perfect. And that is a very high compliment coming from the one and only Rafayel.” He gently pulled you into his body as you let go of the drawing pad “take a break. I’m feeling needy.”
Now, you’re in a beautiful library. You sat on a couch, messaging your temple as you looked sternly at your drawing. It was of the masked man. And you felt a chin against your shoulder, arms around your waist, and heard a familiar voice you had memorized, asking you the same questions. “If you keep doing that you’ll get wrinkles.” He commented at your furrowed brows. Your lover gently pulled you back into his chest and you set aside the paper, feeling much too tired to even pretend to fight. He traced imaginary shapes into your back and told you “take a break. Let your oh so brilliant mind rest. I know mine needs to sometimes.”
“You’re thinking very hard about something, aren’t you?” Rafayel called from his easel. You glanced up. He was painting you as he usually did when he needed inspiration. You nodded slightly, and looked at him with furrowed brows. A question lingered at the tip of your tongue but you silenced it. Rafayel put down his brush and walked over, kneeling in front of you, “well? Don’t keep me waiting. Something’s running through your head and it isn’t me, better hurry and tell me what it is before I get jealous.” He joked.
You chuckled faintly and he took your hand in his, pressing it into his hair because he knew how much you loved to play with it when you were thinking about something. You looked into his eyes, searching them. There was no judgement or anything of the sort, only light heartedness and pure adoration for you. “Do you believe in soulmates?”
Rafayel raised a brow and leaned into your hand as it ran through his silky hair. How it was so well maintained, you had no idea. It was like those commercials for shampoo. “Sure.. why?” He now had moved on from playful jokes, he was serious, searching your face for a reason to why you asked such a question.
You hummed softly, nails scratching his scalp lightly as you spoke “do you think that we’re soulmates?” There was a long silence as his eyes gazed off to just beyond you, thinking, so you started to talk again. “It sounds silly, whatever just humor me. I just get this feeling that we are. One of us made the promise to find each other over and over again. I wouldn’t mind it. I like the idea. I don’t know-“ you sighed as you started to realize you were rambling.
Rafayel just smiled at you. A tender, loving smile that lit fireworks within your chest. He nodded slowly, pulling your hand to rest against his cheek “I think we are. If there’s anything we’re here for it’s each other.” He pressed a kiss to your wrist, and it happened again.
Similar circumstances, same answers, different time. Rafayel knelt before you, kissing your wrist before he said “I know we are. I am far too in love and far too stubborn to let you go in any universe.”
“I would always find you.” Rafayel stated sternly. “I will. You will too, won’t you?” He asked.
You laughed, nodding. “Do you even have to ask?”
“Do you promise?” He moved to sit next to you, taking both of your hands in his. You nodded, taking his pinkie finger and wrapping it around yours.
“I promise.” You confirmed, pressing a kiss to your interlocked fingers. He was pleased, clearly. He had a sweet smile and engulfed you in his arms, falling back into the couch as he held onto you like his life depended on it.
“What would you ever do without your devilishly handsome and very talented boyfriend?” He asked. There it was. You laughed, shaking your head.
“We’ll never know, will we?” You asked, cuddling in closer to him. He hummed, content with your answer.
“You’re right. Your brains and my beauty, a perfect match. No one could tell me we weren’t soulmates, were too perfect for each other:” he smiled, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. You knew he’d think about this conversation often. He’d send you posts about soulmates and get you little charms that alluded to it, and you would love it. You knew you would. He knew you would too, because he knew you like the back of his hand.

“Exauhsted.”

This past week has been hell. And the most annoying part is that you have absolutely no idea why. This happened once in a while, but it hadn’t happened in so long so you thought you’d be able to escape it for a while longer. Instead, here you sat curled up in your work chair, arms around your legs and gazing out of the window nearby once more. At least it had a nice view of the city, you thought, as you watched time pass. You sighed softly, closing your eyes for a moment. Not even a few moments later, you heard someone call out your name. You winced, hoping if you hid your head in your arms they wouldn’t see you, but you knew that isn’t how it worked. They called your name again.
When you looked up, you found Alexander. Alexander was your co-worker, and often took your kindness for granted. You worked hard, everyone knew that, you even took on missions that you weren’t even required to do. You loved your job. This was something you’d dreamed of for… you don’t know how long. So of course you put everything you had into it, you were protecting people by doing your job. It was worth it. However, Alexander made you hate it just for a moment. a brief moment but a moment nonetheless. He grinned, brown hair annoyingly messy as was his uniform. “Are you done with that assignment I asked you to help me with?” He asked, leaning against your desk.
You raised a brow slightly but offered your politest smile. You could have done better on a better day, however this was not one of them, so that was the best he would get. “I did. I saw you had a lot of errors though. You missed a lot of dangerous-“ as you pulled it up to show him what had gone wrong, he waved his hand and cut you off.
“It’s whatever. No one actually reads them.” Alexander’s tone was dismissive, not even glancing at the highlighted sections. You looked at the title of the document and resisted the urge to roll your eyes. It was a complete overview of one of the sectors of the city getting more wanderers by the day, and metaflux’s. You knew people read them because you were people. These were given out to hunters for assignments to know what to expect. They were updated frequently and needed to be as accurate as possible for both hunter and civilian safety. You looked back at him.
“Yes, we do.” You stated, losing the patience you had to smile. “It’s actually vital for us hunters and the civilians who might come across these areas. You know that right? That lives depend on these reports?”
He scoffed, mumbling dismissive none sense and waving his hand in the air once more before saying “thanks for finishing it anyways. See you tomorrow yeah?” As he turned his back, you rolled your eyes and put your head face in your hands, mocking him under your breath.
“See you tomorrow! Whatever.” You murmured and once you knew he was out of the room, groaned in annoyance as you leaned back into your chair. “No one reads it anyways.” You mocked again, shaking your head. “Come on. It’s like you forgot the…” you went on into a nonsensical ramble and continued, until you noticed your phone buzzing next to your mouse. You sat up, picking up your phone and reading the caller ID. It read ‘snowy seal.’ It was Zayne, your doctor, and your boyfriend who didn’t call out of the blue often. You raised a brow and picked up, and he spoke almost immediately.
“There you are.” He hummed into the speaker, and as you started to question him, he continued “I texted you when my shift ended. Usually you’re done by now, are you working over time? You know you shouldn’t.” He warned you. You smiled softly. You knew he was lecturing you again, but it made you feel all warm inside knowing he cared so much. He was stern about it, but he was always that way. It was part of his charm.
“No, I was just..” you sighed, blowing a raspberry as you stood up. You turned off your computer with one hand while you held the phone up to your ear with the other “A co worker wanted to speak with me. Did you need something?” You asked, putting your jacket on your fore arm and picking up your back. He paused for a moment, the sound of a car rushing by before he started talking again.
“I’m waiting outside. Hurry, let’s go home.” Zayne said, and you swore you could hear the soft grin through the phone. Once you had everything and said goodbye to everyone, you left, and it only took a few steps before you heard your boyfriend’s cool voice calling your name. You smiled in almost relief, and wrapped your arms around him immediately. He hugged you back, one arm firmly around your waist and the other against your back holding you close to him.
At home, after you’d gotten changed and showered, you decided to do the dishes. They were piling up anyways. So you rolled your sleeves up, and started to empty the dishwasher. Usually, this task came easily to you. Of course you had your moments when motivation wasn’t at its peak, but if you forced yourself to do it, you would find yourself more content by the end of it. It was the same with a lot of house hold chores. You didn’t mind doing them, it was your house, of course you should take care of it. But it was just.. hard sometimes. You felt like a child because of it, how emotional you got over small things. Bouts of depression, Zayne called it. When it was hard to do anything at all. You forced your way through it though, with the help of your trusty doctor.
While you put the dishes away, you had dropped a plastic cup. You clicked your tongue softly in annoyance, “god..” you murmured and picked it up, rolling your eyes at yourself before putting it in its cabinet. Then, after a while, you dropped a spatula after letting go too early. This too made your patience wane. You felt the pricking feeling in the back of your eyes when you got frustrated, and got even more frustrated. You sighed and placed the spatula in its drawer, muttering “stay.” Before closing it. The last straw was when you were putting away pans, when they all fell out of the cabinet because they wouldn’t fit. At this point you weren’t sure if you wanted to scream or cry. The clashing and clanging was more than enough to wince, and you had to step back for a moment and try not to absolutely break down then and there. You flexed your hands, taking a deep breath. “This is ridiculous to get upset about.” You told yourself. You headed to the fridge for a drink, and on the way.. you ended up ramming your side into the island corner.
Zayne had walked into the kitchen then. Just as you simply gave up, sliding against the island and to the floor, covering your face. He heard you muttering to yourself about something stupid, being annoyed, and such. He knew how you got. You must’ve had a hard day, he thought. Or week. Or month. And so he carefully knelt down beside you, hand on your arm. “Honey.” He called, softly, in a tone he only ever used with you to calm you. Usually you felt special. Right now you were just filled with conflicting emotions you didn’t really know what to do or how to respond.
“Not even something to get upset about. Just dishes.” You groaned to yourself as you pulled your head up from your hands. Zayne carefully pulled you up to your feet, and walked you into your bedroom, rubbing your shoulder the whole time. He listened to your nonesense words, talking about how “I don’t even know why they all fell out.” Or “I’m so clumsy today. What is wrong with me.” Sometimes it wasn’t words, just noises sort of mushed together. He understood anyways.
Zayne sat you down on the bed, and crawled in beside you. He pulled the comforter over the both of you and opened an arm towards you, offering a hug if you wanted it. You leaned into him almost immediately, and his arm wrapped around you tightly, to keep you firmly against his side. He was silent for a while. He usually waited for you to start talking about what bothered you, because he didn’t want you to talk about it if you didn’t feel up to it. You did this time, but you didn’t even know what the issue was. That was what made it so frustrating. He rubbed his thumb against your arm, and asked softly “rough day?”
You sniffed. “I don’t know.” You shook your head, and he nodded slightly, to let you know he was listening. You continued, “I did what I usually do. I fought wanderers. Did reports. Alexander, he handed me an unfinished report and asked if I could do it because he had so much to do and I said yes.”
“The man who never finishes on time?”
“Yeah.” You nodded to Zayne’s question. “So I did. I found some stuff wrong so I corrected them and told him about it and he said..” you rolled your eyes, your lips pulling into a frown “no one ever reads them so why doesn’t it matter.” You threw a hand up slightly. “Like he doesn’t know that it’s actually crucial. Like what it a civilian wandered there and got hurt because we didn’t keep them from it because the report said there wasn’t any danger but there was. Someone could die. It’s our job to protect these people, you know?” You dropped your hand helplessly and shuffled closer to Zayne. “But that isn’t even what made me upset. It was dropping dishes.” You scoffed.
He hummed softly as he listened to you, leaning his head against yours as you curled into him further. When you stopped your ramble, he pressed a soft kiss to the top of your head before he spoke “it sounds like you’re just overwhelmed. It happens, it’s alright.” Zayne said, rocking you back and forth slightly with him. His words were always carefully chosen, you could tell by the slow way he spoke and the pauses between his sentences. It was a nice grounder though. “You’ve been working very hard lately. I’m proud of you, you know.” This was just above a whisper, just for your ears. He rested his chin against your head again.
“You should take a day off.” Zayne suddenly suggested. You looked up at him, puzzled. He glanced at you and chuckled softly and continued to explain “you deserve it. You haven’t taken a day off in.. ages. If you do, I’ll stay here and take care of you. You can come into the office with me as well, if you want.” He said, squeezing your shoulders gently. You debated it, tilting your head into him and looking down at your hands laying in your lap.
“Mm.” You hummed softly in thought. You debated it, wondering if it was a good idea. You have been working hard lately, it wouldn’t hurt to have a day off. Just one. With Zayne, no less. He was usually drowning with work, it would be nice to have a just the two of you day. You nodded “I’d like that.” You finally said, looking up at him.
He smiled softly, a smile he only gave you. Warm, and filled with so much love it made your heart melt every time you saw it. “Good.” He kissed your forehead, and then your nose bridge, the tip of your nose, and then two firm ones against your cheeks, kissing away the trails the tears from before had left. “Let’s get you to bed early then. I’ll make dinner, after you’ll take your medicine, and tomorrow we will have lots of staying home to do.” He said, happily. You nodded, a warm smile spreading over your lips to match his.

Upcoming works are going to be a little self indulgent, it’s going to be working around mental health, and etc. Just know I’m working on them! An example is a character helping the reader through a bad anxiety day, over stimulation, etc. :3 if you have requests, send them in with the character you want (and fandom), and the little bit you want it to be focused on. “Lovesick.”
Xavier doesn’t want your time together to end.

You cross your legs, propping your head up against your fist as you stared at the screen in front of you. Another long day at the office, and no wanderers had proven a threat recently, so you were stuck at your screens and your chair which you found yourself swaying back and forth in to keep yourself awake. You tried hard not to, but you zoned out multiple times over the past few hours. This felt like another office job. You hadn’t noticed it just yet, but Xavier was standing next to your desk, arms crossed slightly as he waited for you to glance his way. He gave up, gently tapping his knuckles against your desk top. Your eyes flicked over to him, and they widened slightly, your lips patting in surprise.
“Floating away?” Xavier asked playfully, a soft smile resting on his lips. “Come back down here. We’ll miss you if you’re gone too long.”
You chuckled softly and shook your head, glancing at your screens once more before returning to him “You’ll just miss my claw machine skills.” You joked, clicking out of one of the many tabs open in front of you. He hummed as if in thought, watching you go through your many documents and other trivial work things. Xavier moved from beside your desk to behind you, his arms resting against the back of your chair. There was a long silence before he spoke up again.
“Speaking of the claw machine..” he said, pausing. He only continued when you moved your head to the side to look at him. “Why don’t we go to the arcade today? We haven’t gone in a bit.. I heard they’ve changed up the stuffed animals. Maybe you’ll get one you haven’t gotten yet.” He suggested. You hummed softly, turning away as you looked back at your work, considering your options. To continue working, or to go out with Xavier. You hadn’t gone out with him in a while, and to be honest you loved your little outings together… plus, your eyes were starting to hurt from staring at so many screens.
You nodded, “Let’s go. Have you eaten yet?” You asked, shutting down your computer and putting away some of the files into their assigned drawers in your desk. He let out a soft ‘mh-mh’ which most likely meant no. You nodded again and stood, “let’s get some food on the way.” He just responded with an affirmative hum. You shook your head slightly and pushed in your chair as he stepped away, hands in his pockets. The two of you walked out of the hunters association building, and took the train to the arcade.
It was as fun as it always was. Xavier was right, there were stuffed animals you had yet to acquire. So of course you worked hard to get them for your little collection, or family as you called them. Xavier cheered you on from the side lines most of the time, smiling softly and putting up a motivating fist when you glanced over at him, saying “you’re doing awesome.” You got a good amount of prizes, and he ended up carrying the bag of them. As the two of you started to leave, you paused, seeing in one of the claw machines matching stuffed animals. Two bunnies, one a soft yellow with a sun on its side, and the other a soft blue with yellow stars on its side. They were propped up to be leaning against each other, and they looked absolutely adorable. You had to get them.
“Hey, is everything-“ Xavier started to ask something as he noticed you weren’t by his side anymore. He paused as he saw you staring at the claw machine, and chuckled softly “what do you have your sights set on now?” He moved close behind you, following your gaze. You lifted your hand and pointed to the two bunnies.
“I’m going to get those ones.” You said, determination thick in your voice. He nodded, patting your arm assuringly before you moved to place one of your many coins into the slot to play the claw machine. Xavier stood to the side once more, leaning against another game as he watched you play. Your eyes were narrowed in focus as you chewed on the inside of your lip, absolutely bent on getting the two stuffed animals in the back. He was silent this time, letting you focus, as he focused on your little habits. Xavier had made a habit of admiring you when you played games, or, well, did anything for that matter. He thought you were especially attractive when you were hell bent on winning a game, or in this case getting stuffed animals for the both of you. He watched the way your lips curved into a slight frown as you missed, as you tapped your finger against the button in frustration. He took in your facial features, which he had already memorized at this point. The shape of your nose, the gleam of stubbornness in your enthralling eyes. He thought your eyes were your best features. He could stare at them for hours. They always held so much emotion, and their color was something he couldn’t even name.
It took a few tries, but in the end you had achieved your goal. You put your arms in the air as the second bunny went down into the slot, “yes!! Yes yes yes!” You had a slight giggle of pure joy behind your words. Xavier couldn’t help but laugh a little. You knelt down, picking up the bunny and turning to Xavier who held the sun bunny. “We match.” You said proudly, holding up the starry bunny.
“Very proud of you.” He smiled at you, ruffling your hair as he walked with you towards the door. “Why were you so determined on these ones?” He asked, curiously. In truth he just wanted to hear you speak.
“Mmm…” you hummed, hugging the stuffed animal close to your chest as the pair of you walked leisurely down the side walk. “They reminded me of us. That’s.. it.” You shrugged, suddenly feeling embarrassed, as if this reason was silly. You looked over at Xavier and he was simply grinning down at the sun bunny, nodding as you spoke. “The star one is you.” You added.
“Ah.” He glanced over at you with a knowing look “so, the one I have is you? And that means…” he trailed off before bumping his shoulder against yours “that we’ll always be with each other. You’re very romantic.” He teased.
You felt your cheeks flush and you waved him away, “you have such a wild imagination.” You mumbled.
You two decided on Korean barbecue for early dinner. And by the time you finished, it was dark out. Xavier seemed a little disappointed as he stood with you on the train, racking his brain for something. When someone stood from their seat and left, he gently pushed you towards it “Sit. You said your feet hurt earlier.” He said. You smiled bashfully at the fact he noticed your complaints, sitting down. He stood in front of you soon after, continuing to stare out the window as he lost himself in thought. You found yourself staring at him as the train ride went on. First, you looked at his eyes, a deep blue. They always seemed to glow in the light, and you didn’t know if that was because of his Evol or because they were simply that pretty. Then you noted the way he seemed to glance at you every once in a while, and the way his hands couldn’t sit still. He was fidgeting with the bag of prizes, tapping his thumb against the pole, or he was shifting around every once in a while. You noticed that about him, that he could never seem to sit still for too long. If you looked away, he would be gone when you looked back. You needed to keep your arm looped in his to keep him from running off when the two of you went to large events or large parts of the city. Suddenly he locked eyes with you, and he raised a brow. You quickly averted your gaze to the window behind him.
In no time at all, you found yourself standing at his apartment door. “I’ll see you tomorrow?” You looked at him. He seemed to hesitate as he opened the door, and after a moment he looked at you.
“Do you.. want to stay over?” He asked. You raised a brow at him now.
“Why?” You asked in response. He shrugged, looking inside his apartment, then at you once more. You swore his eyes got more puppy-like by the second.
“I want to be with you longer.” He admitted, finally. Xavier cleared his throat, “because we haven’t seen each other in a while.” We’d see each other more often if you didn’t disappear so much. “And.. we can play racing again?” He suggested as if that would convince you, like you weren’t already wanting to go in when he just said he wanted to be with you a little longer.
You nodded, and he sighed in relief. When you got inside, he was already headed to his room to change. You left your shoes by the door and settled down on the couch, bunny on your lap. You traced over its eyes and nose, and while you lost yourself in thought didn’t realize Xavier was sneaking up behind you. You only realized when his arms were around your neck loosely, dropping some clothes in your lap.
“Some pj’s.” He clarified. “They might not fit too well, but you said you liked baggy night clothes anyway… you can change in the bathroom. I’ll set up the game.” You nodded slowly, moving the stuffed bunny off of your lap and getting up when he let you go. You took the soft purple colored pajama’s that as you checked the size, were actually pretty close to your size, only one up. You shook your head slightly in amusement, a fond smile spreading over your lips.
You both went on to play multiple rounds of a racing game he’d introduced you to. After getting tired of it, he flicked on a show, one the pair of you were watching together. Some romance drama that was cheesy and yet so hooking. Xavier was leaning against your shoulder, arm loosely around your waist. He had always been affectionate once he got closer to you, so you were just used to it at this point. Barely even noticed it, actually. He fidgeted with the hem of your shirt, making soft comments about the characters actions, and you did the same.
“God… why can’t they just talk it out? I mean they’re upset when this could just…” Xavier paused as you didn’t respond, calling out your name softly before pulling away to get a better look at you. Xavier found you asleep, your head leaning to the side as his wasn’t there to lean on anymore. His gaze softened, and he gently brushed your hair out of your face, looking at you with adoration filled eyes. You were just so perfect. He sighed softly at the warm feeling in his chest, rubbing his hand against it as he looked away. He knew what it was. He had a crush on you. However he’d never said anything. He’d never admit it out loud, not soon, anyways.
As he pulled away from you to stand, you grumbled unhappily, mumbling what seemed to be “don’t.” He froze. Xavier sighed, kneeling in front of you, resting his arms against your legs, a hand against your cheek so you had something to lean into.
“You’re making me a mess. and you don’t even know you’re doing it.. do you?” He murmured, thumb rubbing against your cheekbone gently. He sighed, his brows furrowing slightly “What am I going to do with this..” he spoke of the feeling that ran through his veins. That nested in his chest. The warmth, the joy even that resided in him whenever he was close with you. Whenever his eyes fell onto you. The feeling of his heart starting to race, and a smile spreading over his face without his permission. The fondness in his voice whenever he spoke to you, his body leaning into yours without meaning to. Unknowingly staring at you until you asked if there was something wrong with your clothes or on your face. You filled his mind, even when he tried to work. Out fighting wanderers and the only thing on his mind was if you had eaten dinner yet. He was a lovesick fool, he thought as he looked over at the bunny you wanted to keep because it reminded you of him. But he hoped you too felt these things. He hoped your heart raced, your cheeks flushed because of him.
He laid you down on the couch carefully, and laid in front of you. Your arms found themselves around him instantly. He fell asleep facing you, leaving a gentle kiss against the top of your head before pulling you closer, falling asleep to the sound of your soft breathing.

“Attention”
Rafayel x reader
No warnings
No use of y/n. Gender neutral reader. Read in the second person. Established relationship. Reader has a a ginger one eyed Maine-coone named Mao (m-ow).
Tumblr media
Rafayel lounged in your living room, legs thrown over the arms of the chair and his neck resting on the other. He had his phone held over him, waiting for you to come home. You’d been out getting groceries, and though you’d only been gone for a little while he was already missing you. Mao was laying on a pillow on the other couch where you typically sat, staring at the artist. He glanced over and sighed softly, shaking his head “Cats..” he murmured and switched to messages on his phone, pointing the camera at Mao and sending it to you, and then typing
‘Babe… your cat looks like it wants to eat me for dinner.. hurry home!’
You were getting out of your car, picking up a bag as you felt your phone buzz in your back pocket. You furrowed your brows and took it out, clicking on the notification that read ‘From: Fish-Husband.’ It had been a joke at first with how often he acted like a fish, but now it was just a “cute” nickname. For you anyways. You raised a brow at the message and smiled softly when you clicked onto the picture of your beloved cat. You shook your head, replying.
‘I’m almost home. Will you survive?’
You could almost imagine his dramatic sigh as the message displayed that he’d left you on read. You gathered the rest of your groceries and bumped your car door closed with your hip, turning your heel and jogging up the driveway to save your boyfriend from the oh so ferocious cat of yours.
When you opened the door, you were greeted with both a delighted meow and “There they are.” You chuckled as you settled your gaze on the pair of attention seekers in your living room. Mao pranced over to you, tail swaying slowly. He brushed up against your legs as Rafayel approached, and you put down your bags, picking up your large ginger cat and pressing a firm kiss on its forehead resulting in a happy ‘mrrp’ from it. “Hello gorgeous.” You coo’d, hugging your cat to your chest as he curled closer into your body, a paw firmly resting against your shoulder. Rafayel cleared his throat, and when you looked at him he sighed dramatically “The cat gets the first kiss? I see where I stand..” you rolled your eyes with a smile and murmured to Mao “What a drama king.” Who purred in agreement.
You put Mao down and took Rafayels face into your hands, pressing a firm kiss against his forehead as well “Hello, Rafayel.” He slotted his arms around your waist and shook his head “No sweet Nick names either…” he pouted. You had such a dramatic boyfriend, you wondered how long he could keep the act up but you realized the answer was something far too large for you to want to consider. You just squeezed his cheeks “does needy work? How about…” you trailed off in feign consideration as he rolled his eyes. You laughed and he pressed a brief kiss to your lips as he murmured “I can’t stand you.” You shook your head and gently pat his forearms “then go sit back down.” And with that you broke from his grasp and returned to the task at hand. Groceries. With some complaints, Rafayel eventually followed suit and helped you put everything away. And of course, your trusty cat companion was running circles around and between your legs whenever possible.
Later, you had curled up on the bed with your comfortable clothes. You had the tv playing a show you were really into with one of the claw machine stuffed animals resting against your stomach. Mao hopped onto the bed and meowed at you, demandingly. “What?” You furrowed your brows. You talked back to him often, as both of you were very talkative. He meowed again. “So much sass for such a tiny creature. Come here.” You put the stuffed animal to the side and pulled the cat onto your lap, who happily curled up on your legs and pressed its face into your stomach. Not too long after, Rafayel came in carrying a cup of water for you. He paused and sighed, hand on his hip as he stared at Mao. And of course another one of his bright ideas struck.
“Baby…” he groaned, putting the glass down and sitting on the edge of the bed. You glanced over and raised a brow, “what’s the matter?” He sighed and hung his head, looking away “I don’t feel well..” your worry increased with his almost sad tone. You knew he was silly, and acted over the top sometimes, but you would still worry. You moved, which resulted in an angry grumble from your very fluffy cat. Rafayel clicked his tongue as you gently bickered with mao before pushing your cat to the side and pressed your hand against Rafayel’s forehead. “You don’t feel too warm.” You commented.
Rafayel took you by your wrist and held your hand against his cheek, “my love..” he sniffed. You smiled fondly and shifted, patting your lap “lay down.” To which he immediately did. His head plopped into your lap, and your fingers combed through his dark hair. Mao bat at his head gently but you shooed the paw away “be nice.” Rafayel hummed and nodded “I was here first, I don’t think he gets that.” It was true. You’d only gotten Mao slightly after you met Rafayel but you two bonded quickly. You just had an affinity for animals. Especially fishes. You thought to yourself as you looked down at your boyfriend, looking up at you with sparkling eyes.
“What’s that look for?” You asked, brushing some of his bangs out of his face. He reached up, gently running his index finger over your jaw before resting it back against your leg, next to his head. “I love you.” He suddenly said. You nodded and closed your eyes, “I love you.” You hated ‘I love you too.’ You don’t say it just because he did and that makes it an ‘obligation’, you did just love him. He thought it was strange however enjoyed it nonetheless, you could tell by the glimmer in his eyes and the small curl of his lips. “I feel like you love that fish-eater more.” He commented almost pouting. You shook your head and rested your hand in his hair, “no…”
“I couldn’t love anything more than you. You may be over dramatic, sassy..” you started. “Babe.” He sighed. You rolled your eyes and smiled tenderly “but you are also the most amazing man I’ve ever met. Talented, too. And handsome.” You complimented him, resulting in a charming grin from the male laying in your lap. You twirled a piece of his hair around your finger “nothing could ever add up to you. I love Mao. I love you. Mao is like.. my son.” You said. “And you of course are like my husband.” You then added “my very fishy husband.” He groaned, swatting your hand away as you poked his nose. However he was smiling. “Nothing could replace you.”
He nodded and sat up slightly, just enough for his lips to meet yours. You couldn’t help but smile into it, and he left another kiss at the corners of your mouth, and then a final one at your cheek. “Good. Remember those words.” You hummed and carefully laid him back down into your lap “I have a very good memory. You underestimated me.”

“Lover.”
Request?: no.
Xavier x reader
Love and deep space fan fiction
No warnings
No use of Y/n. Gender neutral reader. Read in the second person. Established relationship.
Tumblr media
You sat at the table in your kitchen quietly, running your thumb up and down the pages of the book you’d just checked out. You’d been reading more about protocores and such as your career as a hunter went on, wanting to know as much as you could possibly know. It couldn’t hurt being informed, and these older books you found in the library held a lot more knowledge than your typical material. Of course you could search it up with a flick of a wrist, but this felt more productive. When you felt the weight of the book at the texture of the pages, it made you want to keep working.
A soft sigh was heard to your side, and you lifted your gaze to see Xavier. He had joined you in your little study session. He wasn’t contributing at all, however he was there for moral support and you supposed that was enough. He was leaning his head against his arms folded over on the table, his blonde hair messy, his tan cardigan resting over his shoulders comfortably. He seemed surprised at your sudden attention on him, his sleepy eyes widening slightly but returning to their half lidded state as he spoke, “how much longer do you have left?” Xavier’s hand reached out to yours, interlocking your pinkie with his. He was an affectionate person you started to learn, he melted into your palms any time you held him, even just a brief brush against him and he would try to get more. You never complained, actually you found it sort of cute. You gently squeezed his pinkie and glanced at your book once more, “I’ll stop after this chapter, okay?”
A content hum resounded from his throat and he closed his eyes, keeping your hand hostage as he continued to listen to whatever he was listening to through his earbuds. You turned away again, continuing your reading. When he knew you looked away, his eyes fluttered open and he simply observed you. He took your expression into memory. The slightly furrowed brows and your lips pulled into a focused frown. You fidgeted with his hand now that he held it, playing with his fingers or rubbing your thumb against the back of his hand. You tilted your head slightly when you weren’t sure about something, flipping back a page to make sure you’d read it right. His eyes shifted to his pinkie interlocked with yours, and pulled your entire hand into his after a moment.
You didn’t notice, or didn’t seem to mind as you continued to read, chewing on the inside of your cheek. Xavier sat up, stretching just slightly before resting his elbows on the table top, holding your hand and pulling it towards him. He pressed it against his lips, kissing the top of your hand. It seemed he got the reaction he wanted out of you, which was you turning towards him with a slightly surprised expression. It melted into amusement and you asked, “what was that for?” Xavier shrugged as you moved your hand to rest against his cheek, thumb brushing his cheek bone lightly. He closed his eyes and leaned into your touch, sighing in something you could’ve said was happiness, or relief. “Nothing, really.” He said, his voice soft as it always was. You raised a brow in playful suspicion as he opened his eyes to look at you as if he couldn’t bear to look away for too long.
He smiled sleepily and asked, “are you done?” You slowly came to realize this was his own way of asking for your attention. You glanced at your watch, three hours or so had passed since the pair of you had settled down for your studies. You nodded and marked the books page before closing it and turning to completely face the male next to you. “I am.” You told him, running your hand through his messy hair. “Are you hungry? I can order us some food.” He asked, moving closer and looping his arms around your waist. You nodded slightly as you suddenly became very aware at the hunger gnawing at your stomach “Mmh. Food sounds good.” He nodded, pulling one arm away from you so he could put in the order for your food, and you noticed he was ordering from your favorite restaurant making your heart flutter. You leaned into him, laying your head against his shoulder as you asked “do you remember my order?” His hand rubbed your back as you leaned into him, feeling him nod as he rested his head against yours “Of course.” You felt a soft smile spread over your face and he did too, because he too smiled against you.
After you had cleaned up your notes and books strewn over the table, you dragged Xavier over to your bed, with stuffed animals he’d won you from the claw machine piled carefully against the wall and cuddling together. He smiled whenever he saw them. You moved the one resting on your pillow to the side and laid down, getting under the sheets before opening your arms to him. He immediately crawled underneath the blanket with you, arms slotting around you as if they were made to be there. Xavier already seemed considerably happier, pressing a gentle kiss against your forehead. His hands fidgeted with the fabric of your clothes, never able to sit still, though you didn’t mind much. This too was another one of his habits you adored. “What were you studying?” He asked, his voice just above a whisper, laced with sleepiness, eyes trained on you. You thought he knew, but went on to explain it anyway.
“Just types of protocores. They’re all vastly different from each other even if they look similar. Some of them…” you went on to explain every thing you absorbed from your books, your hands resting against his chest and making small gestures as you explained. Xavier as a hunter knew this well, but he wanted to listen to your voice. He’d listen to you even if you spoke about the most boring thing in existence. He gently played with your hair at first as you rambled, combing it out and making sure it was all in place. Then he shifted his attention to your hands, taking them into one of his and pressing kisses against your knuckles as you fidgeted with his other hand. He stayed like this for a while, and watched you with the look of pure adoration in his eyes. It made you pause.
“.. what?” You asked, your voice slightly cracking from the nervousness his stare gave you. Xavier smiled faintly and shrugged as your hands stilled “I just..” he sighed softly and held your hands flat against where his heart was. “I am filled with so much love for you.” He suddenly confessed to you, as you felt the fast beating of his heart. You laughed softly and furrowed your brows “feeling sentimental?” You leaned forward and pecked his lips “as am I for you.” You added. Xavier hadn’t let you pull away, pulling you back to him and kissing you again. His kisses were sweet and warm, every time your chest bubbled with the puppy love every one said was just a phase. It wasn’t. Not with him. It wasn’t just one kiss, he left multiple pecks and when he was done he placed one final, firmer kiss against your lips and one lightly against the tip of your nose before finally letting you go free. “I love you.” He repeated.
“I love you, too.” You responded. Xavier smiled a little brighter and sighed, wrapping his arms around you in a bear hug and pulling you tightly against him. “Good.”

Get to know the blogger
An ‘interview’ with yours truly
Tumblr media
« what should I call you? »
Call me Specter, or Ghost! Whatever you would prefer. I will respond to either
« What do you do here? »
I write fan fictions on this blog! I started to realize the ones I wanted to see weren’t coming out, so I decided to write them on my own. I enjoy writing and have for years, I may not be the best or the most articulate but it’s something I thoroughly enjoy. I hope the people who read them when it comes onto their page enjoys reading them as much as I do writing them. My writings aren’t going to be too long for the most part however I hope they are still enjoyable
« What fandoms do you write for? »
I’ll write for any fandom. I’m currently into Avatar, love and deep space, the persona franchise, and dragon age trilogy. I was previously into mass effect however I’ve fallen out of it for the time being. Honestly, if you send a request for a fandom and I’m not into it I’ll do the research I need to to provide you with the writing you want :)
« Are your requests open? »
As of right now and the foreseeable future, absolutely! If I can’t get to a request I try my hardest to. Just send me an ask, message me, or send a comment on this blog, or on one I’ll make like polls or a post specifically asking for requests. It helps me personally because I have a hard time coming up with ideas for the characters and etc often.
« what does your schedule look like? »
I’m currently in school, however I am still able to write. I may be inconsistent and not have specific days I post though. I may write a lot day after day and then stop after a few days, a week, but I’ll absolutely get back to writing once I get the motivation. I’m on and off on posting, so if you need to turn on notifications for my posts because they’re extremely inconsistent.
« what else do you do? »
I draw! Though I am not the absolute best, I adore it. I am also writing my own book, however I don’t expect it to go anywhere. My own personal writing for me to look back to probably. I also play dungeons and dragons, I used to roleplay as well. I enjoy cooking, and playing video games in my spare time.
« can I contact you any where else? »
I will probably set up a discord for this blog at some point and I’ll put that in here at some point when I do make it. I am not personally comfortable handing out the rest of my personal social medias unless I of course, talk to someone often. I don’t expect that to happen. I might make an Instagram as well, just for easier access if need be.
« age restrictions for your blog? »
Absolutely not. Anyone can roam free around here :)
« anything else? »
That’s all as of right now! At some point I will make a post for links to the fandoms I write to make it easier to access once I actually have more posts. That’s all !!!!

“My heart.”
Request: ✓ “Possesive Eetu” from anonymous
Eetu x Na’vi reader
No warnings.
Avatar: frontiers of Pandora fan fiction
No use of y/n. Gender neutral reader. Read in the second person.
Translations:
Ma’yawntu - my beloved / my loved one
Honatsyìp - “hona” adorable/cute/endearing “Tsyìp” little, usually
taronyutsìp - little hunter
Ma’ Txe’lan - my heart
Ma’ - My / Mine
Tumblr media
You had been busying yourself around the home tree today. You flitted na’vi to na’vi, doing whatever they had asked you to do. You helped the weavers make new clothes, helped Relun with ingredients for his special meals of which he gifted to you, after your hard work. Nefika praised you, grinning at you like a proud mother as she stroked your arm while you stood with her. “You are truly a gift, Ma’Yawntu.” Her and her sweet pet names. You’d roll your eyes at it if you hadn’t picked it up from being around her so often, because you had noticed you started calling many people yawntu, Honatsyìp, and the like. You smiled bashfully at her, casting your gaze to the ground for a moment.
“Thank you, Nefika.” You managed to say. The woman smiled brightly and squeezed your shoulder affectionately “my little Sarentu is growing up so quickly! Go, don’t let me hold you back. You’re very popular.” You furrowed your brows in confusion to her comment, and she tilted her head towards the few scattered na’vi waiting for your assistance, and among them you spotted the hunter Eetu. He was smiling at you, a sort of sweet and yet cocky grin that had you returning the smile, offering a small wave before dismissing yourself from Nefika’s side. You greeted the na’vi who called your name sweetly and asked for a favor, however your focus was on Eetu. He knew too, as he watched you stride past the other na’vi, trying not to be whisked away by another mountain of requests.
Upon finally reaching him, you gestured a greeting, as he did the same. “I see you, Eetu.” You said, broad smile resting over your lips, your eyes crinkling slightly. He returned the gesture, bowing his head slightly “I see you.” He only looked away for a moment before his eyes met yours again. Eetu’s eyes were brilliant, a soft golden that was stunning in the current lighting, always glistening with some sort of mischief. You dropped your hand down to your side and asked “I haven’t seen you all day, what have you been up to?” He hummed softly in reply at first and leaned in, giving his signature smirk.
“Were you looking for me?” Eetu asked, and you rolled your eyes, somehow expecting his response. You shook your head slightly and turned your gaze away, looking off into the distance towards the bustling entrance of the home tree. He moved into your view once more, tilting his head, his braided hair falling slightly, as if saying ‘look at me.’ You chuckled and crossed your arms “you can’t answer a question with a question, Eetu.” You simply told him, raising your brow at him. He laughed, straightening up and dusting off the imaginary dirt off of his hands.
“Okay, okay.” He started, crossing his arms. “I haven’t been doing much. I try to stay out of your way when you’re, you know…” he motioned to you, and then out to no where specific. He meant bouncing back and forth between tasks like a butterfly. Unable to make up your mind and unable to stand still. You let out an airy laugh and nodded “well.. I’m not doing ‘you know’ing” you put up air quotations, making fun of him playfully “anymore, would you like to go out hunting with me later?” You asked. Usually, when you and he needed to get away he would take you hunting. However today he shook his head, his smile faltering just slightly, looking almost apologetic “I can’t. I’m sorry taronyutsìp.” He rested his hand against your upper arm.
You shook your head, gently placing your hand over his. “Don’t be.” You offered a sweet grin and pat his hand “later, then.” He nodded, you reached out and squeezed his shoulder before turning away, going to busy yourself once more.
You’d lost track of time, and now you find yourself helping one of the hunters with their bow. He sat next to you on the rock you perched yourself on, his legs dangling beneath him as he watched you string the bow. “You have to take care of your bow.” You scolded light heartedly, glancing over at him. He laughed, shrugging “It was an old string. It was bound to happen. I’m glad you’re here to help me.” He said, gently nudging your shoulder in thanks. You hummed in response, an amused, sweet noise.
Eetu had been looking for you, and now he stood off to the distance, close enough to hear the conversation. His ears flicked with irritation, his fingers fidgeting with the string of his own bow strapped across his chest. He wanted to take you up on your offer once more now that he was free, but he had stopped himself upon seeing you and the other na’vi sharing teasing words and playful laughter. You had pulled back his bow to figure out why he said it felt wrong, and the string snapped sharply as you pulled it back almost immediately.
Upon finishing, you slid down the rock and landed carefully, waiting for him to join you. The hunter jumped down, and you offered him his bow, however he reached past it and now hovered his hand over the irritated mark the string left against your skin, the blue skin there turning a bright purple ish blue. He frowned “I didn’t even notice.” Eetu did. He noticed the way you flinched when the string snapped against your arm and how you sucked in air to avoid yelping from surprise. But of course, this na’vi knew nothing. You brushed his hand away however he reached for you again, and that’s when Eetu took it upon himself to march himself over.
“I’m fine.” You dismissed it, and the hunter sighed almost frustratedly “let me help you, I-“ his gaze flicked next to you. You furrowed your brows and looked to your right and found Eetu, a smile that seemed sweet plastered over his lips but you could sense some kind of maliciousness in it. “Ta’pan.” Eetu greeted the hunter, and turned to you. His eyes filled with worry and he pulled your arm towards him, “that looks like it’ll bruise, taronyutsìp.” You paused at his sudden forwardness, pulling you closer and running his fingers over your arm gingerly. You gently pushed him away and turned to Ta’pan giving him his bow and instructing him to be more careful with his weapons age.
Ta’pan greeted Eetu, and you felt the hunter to your right wrap his arm around your waist “I expect you can hunt by yourself? I taught you better.” He almost scolded the hunter. Ta’pan hesitated, “I’d like to help with..” Eetu slightly waved his hand and then turned back to your still outstretched forearm, examining the irritated skin once more. “You need to be more careful.” He clicked his tongue at you and ran his thumb against your un-injured skin, gentle and firm at the same time. You felt more than confused as he examined you, he had never been worried like this before. You glanced at Ta’pan and said “I can join you later-“
“Ah.” Eetu cut you off and looked up to you “you have plans with me later. We need to go out hunting together. And, it’ll be a little delayed until we get this all better.” He was teasing you. You swore he was. You sighed softly and turned to the hunter to your left and smiled apologetically, and before you spoke Eetu pulled you in the opposite direction, your arm looped in his and his tail wrapped firmly around your waist, guiding you. You leaned into him, “m’yawntu, what-“ he glanced at you and hummed softly. “Is it so wrong I want to spend time with you?” Then he cocked a brow up “yawntu?” You rolled your eyes and put your hand in his face, making him laugh “okay, I won’t.” “Good.” You couldn’t help but grin, looking away to hide it.
As he said, he’d helped you carefully apply ointment to lessen the sting and calm the swelling for the future, and he stayed there for a while, his thumb running over your forearm, massaging it. “Eetu.” You called to him. His tail had moved from your waist to around your ankle. He hummed in response, glancing up into your eyes, brows furrowed. “It’s fine now.” You chuckled, pulling your arm out of his grasp and using your thumbs to smoothen out the skin between his brows and then ran them over his forehead “you’ll get wrinkles.” He closed his eyes as you massaged his face, his shoulders visibly dropping.
“You should’ve come to find me.” He muttered, his hand going to settle around your wrist, holding your hand to his cheek. You hummed “you told me you were busy.” “Still.” He insisted, “it’s better than him being all over you like that.” You made an incredulous expression and he opened his eyes, letting out an amused sigh. “Are you jealous? Ouuuh…” you joked, however he nodded, tightening his grip around your wrist. “If I am?” He asked softly. You looked confused, “what is there to be jealous about? Why would you be jealous anyways-“
“I call you ma’ txe’lan for a reason.” He said suddenly, pulling your hand from his face, his expression more serious than you’d ever seen it before. “Ma.’” He repeated ‘my’ and leaned forward, his ears flicking slightly “come to me even when I tell you I’m busy. It’s better than a guy sabatoging his own bow string to get you to fix it and you end up getting hurt.” He said, his insistent tone rising every word. Your heart fluttered against your chest, your stomach did flips, you had no words. He was never this forward. Sarcastic flirting, maybe, playful affection, the occasional forehead peck if you weren’t feeling well. This was something entirely different. It was strange. But you wouldn’t admit that you liked him being so forward, at least out loud.
You sighed softly, relenting “alright. I’ll come to bug you even if you’re beyond busy. Drowning in work. You won’t get rid of me. How’s that?” You teased, and his serious expression eased up, melting into a soft familiar smile “hmm. Perfect.” He agreed, leaning forward and loosely wrapping his arms around your waist, his forehead against your shoulder. “What a baby.” You hummed, rubbing his back with your nails carefully. He almost purred at the sensation, shifting closer, burying his face into the crook of your neck. “Let’s stay like this a while. For health reasons.” He made an excuse. You smiled and rolled your eyes, shaking your head but pressing it against his “health reasons, of course.”

“Sick.”
Zayne x Reader.
Love and deep space fanfiction.
No use of Y/n. Read in the second person. Gender neutral reader. Brief Mention of vomit.
Tumblr media
It had been a long couple of days for you. You’d been working non stop, as part of the alpha squad in the hunters association you dealt with a majority of the much harsher Wanderers. Due to working so much, you had caught a bit of a cold, and were sent home, given as much time as you needed to completely recover. Zayne was told almost immediately, of course. As your doctor and one of the people closest to you, he was bound to know eventually. And so here you were, curled up on the couch with a blanket in your house clothes. And there he was, standing in the kitchen and making you tea. You shifted, back against the arm of your couch, and watched him. His back was facing you, but you could already imagined his focused face, brows furrowed and lips slightly taut.
“Your eyes are burning holes through my skull.” He suddenly said, turning his head to meet your apparently intense gaze. You’d zoned out, blinking rapidly at him, and you caught the curl of his lips and the amusement glitter in his eyes. “What are you thinking about?” He asked, picking up the mug that you’d bought as a souvenir at one of the aquariums, it had little seals plastered over it. Somehow, it had become the go-to mug for you, and Zayne always got that one first when he made you something to drink. The dark haired doctor approached you, placing your mug in your outstretched hands.
You shrugged, “Nothing, really.” You looked at the mug in your hands and blew softly at the hot tea. “Don’t you have work today?” You asked him, shifting and sitting criss-cross as you sipped the tea, still burning your tongue despite your caution. Zayne chuckled softly at the cringe your face twisted into, and shook his head in amusement as he often did at your actions. “Not today. I shouldn’t be too busy when I do, but I trust when I’m not here you will take care of yourself.” He always snuck in a lecture about your health. Though it was well placed now, as you sat there, sniffling and breathing in the steam rising from your tea to clear your sinuses.
“Awh. Taking a day off just for me?” You teased. Though you were sick that would not stop you from picking at him, and he knew that too well. His lips curled into a slight half smile and he leaned back into the couch “I find myself doing that often. Something’s always wrong with you.” He said light heartedly. It took a long time for you to start to recognize his sarcasm and sweet jokes, because his voice was not as expressive as others were. Monotone, steady, it rarely ever changed, and you often compared him to a robot because of it. You let out a soft scoff “you don’t have to come and take care of me, you know. I’m perfectly capable of doing all of this myself.” You told him.
He hummed in reply and glanced at you, eyes glistening in the light coming through the window across the room. You always did admire his eyes, the golden centers circling his pupils. You noticed his pupils always seemed to dilate around you. You didn’t know why but you felt special because of it anyways. “You’re capable, but you don’t do it. I need linkons best hunter healthy and taken care of. Who else will protect me from wanderers, hm?” He said playfully, leaning towards you, shoulder brushing against yours. You unconsciously leaned into him and smiled, not sarcastically but a genuine, softer smile. One he always managed to draw out of you; even when you were in the sourest of moods. “I did promise, didn’t I?” He nodded at your words and tilted his head towards your cup “You did. So drink up. We’ll have food soon, and then you’re having your medication.” There it was once more, Doctor Zayne and his schedules he had made for you. He didn’t take no for an answer either, you learned that the hard way.
Having someone like him was comforting. He knew you so well, and he cared for you. Enough to take the day off to spend it with you, while you were stuck at home, sick. Infact he came over last night as well, midnight, you were sick to your stomach leaned over the toilet and he knelt down beside you, one hand keeping everything out of your way and the other carefully running up and down your back, comforting you. You couldn’t make out the words he muttered but they helped. He even sat you on the counter and gently washed the remainder from your mouth, and made you something you could keep down before bed. He’d left after that, but he came back after sometime before noon.
“You’re staring again.” Zayne stated as he finished off his tea, setting his mug down and looking at you with a raised brow. “Something on my face?” He asked. You shook your head, newfound tenderness engulfing you as you leaned in closer to him, and out of instinct he had wrapped an arm around you. “Thank you.” You murmured, and he furrowed his brows in confusion “for what?”
“Being here.” You replied, shrugging. “You’re always there for me even when I don’t ask you to be. You’ve looked after me for so long. I.. I don’t think I could ever put into words how much I appreciate you doing this.” You said softly, looking up at him. He seemed to freeze, however recovered quickly and said with the same amount of tenderness “we look after each other. That’s what we do. Now hurry. Finish your tea.” He gently leaned his head against yours, and you could feel the smile spreading over his lips. You smiled and nodded, complying. He truly was the best. You wondered if his heart raced and softened the same way yours did when you saw him, when you sat with him like this. But as you leaned into his chest to listen to his heart beat as you so frequently did, you answered your own question.
It did. You wouldn’t tell him that though. It was your little victory. It had you grinning all evening, and he teased you for it.
