So apparently some people new to Tumblr think a repost and a reblog are the same thing, so when they see creators asking for people to not repost, they're thinking the creators are saying to not reblog 😭

Y'all, a repost is when you copy/download the work and create a new post using the work making it seem as if it's yours. A reblog is you using a site provided feature to share the creator's post directly from the creator so that it's still credited to them and they still get all of the traction/notes from the work.

Please, reblog fics/art/etc. that you enjoy! Reblogging is not reposting! Creatives need support too, and reblogging is a way to do that!

When it becomes clear that Pryce is threatening to walk Minkowski out of an airlock in Ep57 The Devil's Plaything, Eiffel says No for three lines in a row. The first of these lines is a low Oh no of horrified realisation. The third is a defiant shout against the idea that he'd surrender. But nowadays it's the second of these lines that gets me the most: a No that's soft, understated, almost breathed, not addressed to Minkowski or Pryce, just a word which escapes him as the full reality of what might happen sinks in. It's quiet enough that it'd be easy to miss if you were listening in a loud place. It's not an initial sound of realisation. It's not an attempt at defiance. It's not Eiffel trying to plead with Pryce or snap Minkowski out of Pryce's control. He'll do those things later: yelling at both Pryce and Minkowski, banging against the airlock door, crying out in desperation. But before that, he breathes the word No, and he's not trying to communicate anything to anyone. He's just whispering No, expressing beneath his breath - perhaps unconsciously - that this cannot happen. Minkowski cannot die.

I don't understand all the people in various different fandoms I've seen lately ragging on rarepairs/non-canon pairs because "they don't talk to each other/have no on-screen chemistry" or "you're just putting random people together because they're not dating anyone else"

The point of fanfiction is that IT'S NOT CANON, it's you sitting around with your fave action figures and SMASHING THEM TOGETHER

Sometimes that happens to be the most common pairing or something actually canon. But sometimes, that's you taking a square and a circle and putting them together and saying WHAT IF!

Sometimes it's looking at the parts that make up two entirely different people and asking "What would it take for these two to work together?" and the joy of that sort of exploration and discovery is INDESCRIBABLE

Quick question: I didn't understand if the wolf/bunny thing is just an AU idea or something you might work on later in the future to post it on ao3, because I'd really like to read more of it 👀

All of my AU ideas are things that I may write and eventually post, it's just a matter of when I have time to cover them! I have a lot on my plate right now, so I can't make any guarantees about them, but that's why none of these ideas are up for adoption, so that I always have the option to come back and work on them in the future!

I may say that x wot character is my favorite, but what that actually means is I have like five favorite characters in the wheel of time who all jockey for position moment to moment. It’s usually Nynaeve or Mat or Aviendha, but then sometimes it’s actually Rand or Egwene. And all the other characters also often make honorary mention appearances.

What makes the wheel of time unbeatable as a series is truly just how delightfully good the ensemble cast is.

one slightly embarrassing thing about me is I very much want to be the kind of person who has a piece of jewellery they always wear, preferably with some sort of meaning, but so far I've utterly failed to settle on one. the closest I've got is this, and it was cobbled together from a big pile of unsorted ball-bearing chains when I was a teenager.

I'd say excuse the lint but this is jewellery made from random bits of junk so I don't think it matters all that much?? honest to goodness if I'd found tremendously lazy butches earlier in life it would have done things to my gender journey like you wouldn't believe.

Sometimes, the easiest thing is to not hear it at all.

I get this feeling quite a lot when my parents or siblings are yelling at me or if we argue where I just want to rip my hearing aids out so I will just stop hearing all of it at once. I tend to shut down and take them out so that everything is a little quieter.
