“My names Marilyn Thornhill.” She smiles prettily and Tyler tries to hold in the way he wants to seethe back. “Ms. Thornhill. I’m a new teacher in town, at Nevermore?” And she tilts her round doll face like it’s a question and she’s asking him to be sure.

“Oh, too bad.” Tyler feels enough relief at the fact he won’t have to be dodging this lady between all of his classes that he manages to work himself up into a vaguely retail-appropriate smile. “Not my crowd. Good luck with that though.”

It's a sleepy summer day in Jericho when Tyler meets two new Nevermore Academy residents, a teacher and a student, who come into the Weathervane throughout his shift.

Anyone who thought that Enid Sinclair was ‘changed’ or ‘corrupted’ by Wednesday Addams never really knew Enid at all.

Some of her ‘friends’ became quite concerned for Enid when she threatened some wolf boy and nearly blinded him with a handful of claws to the face. They were convinced that Wednesday had been a horrible influence on their sparkly and sweet girl.

A few people even held an intervention, trying to convince Enid that her girlfriend was toxic and abusive.

Enid went home that night and told Wednesday all about it, she couldn’t contain her laughter as she spoke. Wednesday was honestly the one more bothered by it, she was afraid that the others might be onto something.

Enid assured her otherwise, and truthfully, Wednesday knew that the girl was right.

Nobody knew Enid Sinclair in the way that Wednesday Addams did. Nobody saw Enid the way that Wednesday did.

Enid had always been capable of violence.

Wednesday felt flutters in her heart that night when Enid told her of slashing the metal of a school bus when Ajax had stood her up.

Wednesday nearly smiled when she watched the colorful girl manipulate and blackmail a member of the student body for a better spot in the dance group.

Wednesday felt warmth when Enid destroyed their opponents canoe during the poe cup.

Wednesday knew she was in love when Enid beat Tyler bloody.

That love, that Wednesday held for Enid didn’t change her, but encouraged her to be her true self. It proved to Enid that she was worth loving, that the people who really cared about her would stay even if she didn’t hide who she truly was.

Enid was sparkly and sweet, kind and loving, but that wasn’t all she was. It had never been all that she was.

Wednesday Addams did not corrupt Enid Sinclair, she gave her a space to be free and to be adored.

Wenclair Idea: Cuddles

Another idea for a Wenclair oneshot, a small piece here and you will find the rest on the links below. Since the Heat idea didn’t get much response it will be tossed in the bin. Hopefully this idea will be enjoyed more so I can turn it into a full blown, longer one shot. Enjoy nerds, Merry Christmas.

When Wednesday Addams had first come to Nevermore, she hadn’t planned to stay for long. She hadn’t planned for many things if she was honest.

Tyler being the biggest mistake she had ever made, he had turned out to be a murderous bastard and used her to free Crackstone from his grave.

However not all her mistakes had turned sour. Enid Sinclair had been one of the few exceptions Nevermore had begun to grow on the young Seer. Although she wouldn’t ever say it out loud, especially not to Enid herself. She would never hear the end of it, even though Wednesday loved torture, that kind would just be too much to bare.

Enid Sinclair, the bubbly girl she shared her dorm room with.

Enid Sinclair, the girl who’s side of the room looked like a unicorn barfed all over it.

Enid Sinclair, the only person who ever managed to get a genuine hug out of Wednesday Addams.

Yes, shocking, Wednesday was more than aware of it. It had shocked her too but when she had looked into Enid’s eyes that fateful night, a small piece from the walls that she had so carefully constructed around her heart, broke off. All she could do was hug the werewolf back, initiating it even after pushing Enid off at first.

The consequences of this hug however was something she had not prepared for. Enid became a bit more touchy feely afterwards and to her own surprise, Wednesday didn’t hate her roommate doing these things.

Enid, being the considerate person she was, only did these things while they were alone in their room.

Dang Wednesday fandom, y'all are wild and I love it. In the interest on continuing on from that fic I posted this morning (that got a response like whAt?!), what part of the year do we think the first season took place?

Like, as someone from a northern climate, canoeing at school was prohibited to the first and maybe the last two or three months of the school year. Given administrators kept throwing around "transferred in the middle of the semester" while clutching their pearls in regards to Wednesday, I'd say the whole month of September is out, suggesting this is later in the academic year.

Yet, the language of the school just being closed for a semester doesn't give the impression of being near summer break either...
