Do you have any concept art of BUNNI?

Weirdly, I do not.

I have a general Idea of what the final silhouette should be (Rabbity), an aesthetic concept (Clean Retrofuturism shapes hit with a shotgun blast of Sugarpop Cyberpunk Clutterbitch for contrast), a color scheme (Matte White, Holographic Silver, Full-saturation Yellow/Orange/Magenta, in that order.) , and Character Prompt:

The name "B.U.N.N.I." is an acronym that stands for Biomorphic Universal Navigation & Negotiation Item. It's a Diplomat and Xenbiologist Cyborg from Outer Space manufactured to explore strange new words and act as an Ambassador for the people of Lagotopia-7. BUNNI speaks exclusively in third person, has missed the last few service patches and it's translator is an older model that got dented pretty bad when BUNNI made an unplanned lithobrake with this planet's largest satellite. Lunar Impact damage aside, BUNNI is very happy to meet the people of Planet Dirt!

-But there's no art because the whole purpose of this project is to learn how to do various costuming skills and stretch my neuroplasticity, so I'm very much making this up as I go and the final concept has changed significantly as I've learned what actually works when rendered in fabric.

Terror fans and polar exploration friends, did you know about this? I'm not sure how I feel about Tom Hiddleston as Henry Worsley, but I'm delighted to see Soo Hugh back in her element, running shows about polar explorers dying badly.

Fic requests are open

Starting today, I'm accepting fanfiction requests for Yu-Gi-Oh (original series only) and NU: carnival. Just send me an ask or reply to this post with a prompt/ship/theme/trope, and I'll see it done (as long as it's within reason.) Keep in mind that depending on how many requests I get, it could take a while for me to finish yours in particular.

These are open to everyone. Mutuals have priority. There is no time limit for these, which means you can send me your requests starting today, although I'm likely to close them around October. Also, asking for fic now doesn't mean you can't ask for art later so don't let that deter you.

More info below (warning: I'm long-winded.)

Short version: I have very few boundaries.

Long version:

What I will write

There are no hard, clear rules. I will write basically for nearly any pairing or character. If there's anything I don't feel I can pull off, I will let you know.

Keep in mind that I write for Yu-Gi-Oh as a sub watcher and manga reader. I have no idea what even happens in the English dub. On the other hand, I have nearly everything unlocked in Nu:ca.

Nearly all types of content are OK. Don't be afraid to ask as I'm chill with most stuff. Yes, this means even NSFW is OK. Most kinks are OK. Dark fic is OK. MCD is OK. Don't worry about that. I don't hate any characters or ships either. Again, I will tell you if I'm uncomfortable with your request or if I think I won't be able to do it well. Let's just be respectful of each other's tastes and boundaries, together.

What I won't do due to time constraints/lack of skill/discomfort:

Anything with your OC,

any other fandom,

anything that requires extensive research,

straight or sapphic sex scenes,

pure fluff,

crackfic or cringe comedy,

anything just hateful.

Three more important considerations:

I don't serve terf/swerfs.

This is a proship safe space.

If I see you've been defending AI generated content, you don't get to ask me to write for you.

What to expect when I'm done writing it

The fic will most likely be somewhere around 2,000 and 4,000 words, depending on the prompt and my enthusiasm for it. It might be way more than that too, but don't count on it.

I don't expect you to reblog, comment on, or even like/kudos the fic if you don't want to. If you'd like to keep the request away from Tumblr (that is, you'd prefer me to not post it here) or if you'd rather I don't say it was you who requested it, you have to let me know.

The fic WILL be posted to AO3, where it can be sent to you as a gift if you're comfortable with it and have an account. However, if your request is a little too out there for my usual brand, I will mostly likely publish it anonymously.

Lilith tastes smoke, present and familiar, that lingers on Ava’s lips as she kisses her. It’s either the nicotine coating her lips or her proximity that makes Lilith’s head swim.

Ava’s stunning from where she sits straddling her hips backlit in the soft white light from the balcony light. One hand hooked underneath the sharp curve of a mandible, the other cradling a cigarette.

There’s a familiarity to the way Ava asks and Lilith gives. Fingers asking, lips willing to turn towards devotion. Praise has always come naturally to her. A familiar ache deep within her joints, eyes cast up in devotion to statutes illuminated by flickering orange. How she had longed when she was younger for those saints to climb down from the wall, offer her their hands, and raise her above her body.

A devotion turned towards women when her faith failed her. Here, underneath the lights, she finally holds onto something worthy of praise.

“Lil,” Ava calls, leaning back with a soft smile. She’s wearing Beatrice’s jersey, maize in the soft light with the number 9 emblazoned on the right corner. Lilith’s boxers slick as she adjusts against her hips. The half-burnt cigarette illuminates her face as she inhales, exhales, then speaks, “why do you do it?”

Her hand extends, the burning end illuminating her fingertips, a silent offer. Fingers are warm as Lilith accepts the cigarette. It’s soothing as she places it between her lips, a familiar weight, something to preoccupy her mouth. She inhales, her free hand coming to rest against the swell of Ava’s hip; thumb rolling over the dip of her iliac crest.

“I’m good at it,” Lilith mutters, exhaling smoke into the night.

A system’s history is in their people. Or so the saying went. Milo was a participant in genocide, he knew. Watching as the winged people bowed their heads as manacles clacked into place around their wrists and ankles, rope binding their wings, Milo knew what they were doing was wrong. He knew it the moment the last dragon went down.

They’d seen the dragons from the ground before. There were plenty of published books examining the hypothetical immortality of the dragons, the many uses for dragon’s breath, and of course, the ethics of trapping them for their skin.

Dragons were not scaly. Or rather, not all dragons were scaly. Some had leathery skin, thicker than cow hide and less unpleasant to tan. It was also surprisingly light weight. Others had thick, sturdy scales that never gave way to weapons, plain or magical. It created an obsession for both, in a way. The thicker scales of the dragons were enough to create a type of hunter that was determined to find a way to collect the impossibly strong material. Others focused on the methodology of improving traps for the leathery skinned dragons. Plenty of research came from those ventures, even if they hadn’t realized they were killing off the dragons by doing so.
