How long did it take for Norton to get used to his body? I would think as fool's gold he is like a baby deer kind of like 'OOOH as soon I get up YOU ARE DEAD MELLY!'

It probably took some time getting used to, I reckon; with his mass and proportions all messed up. I like to think that Fool's Gold has no problems moving around, while Norton (Prospector) would struggle in the start.

There's something I feel like I should address.

I think it's really nice of you to send questions, comments, fun ideas and input to my inbox! I'm having a lot of fun reading your thoughts and responding to some of them. And if I feel inspired, I'll add a sketch or two to my response.

But with that being said, I don't take requests. I don't want people to send me an ask with the expectation of receiving an art response. There are no guarantee I'll draw something, and most likely not if the ask is phrased in a request-esq way. I'll also add that I'll probably not respond to asks about fandom ships from now on.

I don't have any IDV OCs, but I did sketch some of my other OCs in the IDV style a long time ago.

Maybe I'll do some refined versions some day. Either imagining them as characters in the game and come up with in-game abilities, or make a crossover essence mock-up where each of them are a skin and assign them to canon characters.

Imagine if the survivors started using their abilities/items as actual weapons.

I can just imagine painter or embalmer walking the hunter with their canvas and makeup kit. Or entomologist swatting at the hunter with her net.

this is weird take but I like to think that the Dual Faction’s Hunter Personas and the Survivor Personas are two separate beings that reside in the manor because I think it’s funny if the Weeping Clown and Joker just stare at each other and wonder how they’re the same person. Also I like the thought that Orpheus and Norton would argue about eachother’s Hunter Persona and vice versa. Like

Orpheus: The hunter version of you is just a pile of rocks with a face! And what kind is name is “Fool’s Gold”? Uncreative if you ask me.

Norton: oh yeah, like “Nightmare” is any better. Also at least mine at least looks like me! (Gestures at Nightmare) Yours looks like a buff version of Jack the Ripper with a plague mask!

It does beg the question though if the survivor and hunter version of a character would get along or not. Same person, same memories, same experiences... but they see the world through different lenses. Feels like they'd argue with each other over a lot of things.

Imagine being a hunter who's actually excited for Norton to finally be in their side cause of how annoying he is when he was a survivor. Only to be quite disappointed with how forgetful he is during matches.

Ah poor Norton being disliked by both factions 😭

I like to picture that the hunters' individual performance doesn't have much impact on the rest of the faction (aside from reputation perhaps, which Norton's forgetfulness would probably tank). But the moment they have to team up would make it a breeding ground for frustration if the other does badly.

I feel like the ones that would most likely understand Norton's predicament would be the other characters with dual factions like Luchino and Joker. Orpheus too, I guess, but he would just find amusement in his struggles.

Side note: Forgetfulness aside, Norton being resented by both factions has angst potential. He seems reserved and not one to get along with others so easily. And with the added strain of being the "enemy" to both sides just makes it worse.

Thoughts on the new survivor?

I think he is silly. I really like his disposition and his backstory in relation to his profession. Someone who rescues people from fires who is also an arsonist is very intriguing to say the least. Hope to see his story intertwine with some of the other characters. And his voice in the trailer was so good! Design-wise he's pretty alright; it fits his character. His in-game ability is very goofy and I'm looking forward to see more of it. The expression on his model makes him look mighty uncanny though ghjdsjfd

The series has been a lot of fun for me to make, and I'm just happy to see others enjoy it as well! I understand that sometimes there can be too much of a good thing, which is why I was worried the same joke was overstaying, albeit in slightly different flavours. But ideas just kept coming to me, I guess fhsdjfgds

Something about Norton having to adjust to his new found role was a concept I came to like a lot and saw a lot of comedy potential in. I believe this is the first identity switch I've been around for since I joined the fandom, and it was for none other than my favourite character! Man, I had such a massive brain rot when Fool's Gold first got announced XD (I don't think I'm even over it yet fdsgfsgfdh). Anyway, I'm relieved to hear that this kind of content hasn't grown stale yet 😅 I'll keep making them as long as I have fun with it =u=

I still have more ideas with Norton's misadventures as a hunter that I want to get to eventually! People have also been pitching in some other ideas as well; namely regarding Luchino and Joker adjusting as survivors, which I have something in store for.
