#like sorry but i'm honestly fucking tired of seeing ''his team isn't doing enough''#honestly his team is doing great in terms of rolling out promo and everything around it#just because his style of promo isn't the kind that other artists do doesn't mean they're not doing it correctly#like. louis' music and genre appeals to a completely different crowd and he's doing promo according to that#i don't know what you expect but his ''team'' has actually done a lot#like trying to get his music picked up on tiktok and all the twitter/ig promo all of it has been great#i know louis was sabotaged before but i do truly think he has much much more control over his music and promo this time around#so when you all say ''louis' team isn't doing promo'' you really want to say that they aren't doing YOUR standard level of promo#like. he did listening parties. he did appearances and performances. he was active on social media#and then he broke his hand and couldn't do the signings and his shows and STILL they're pushing the album hard on social media#i know we all love him and love this album but there needs to be strategies in place to get it off the ground#and it has!! the album is doing great numbers#the day you all stop comparing louis' success to other artists' success is the day you'll actually be free#you're all being so fucking irrelevant by saying all of this and doing the open letter bullshit#stop acting like you know better than louis and his actual team when it comes to things#like i know we have loads of people in the fandom who actually do know things because they work in actual marketing/promotional careers#but even then. NONE of us know louis or his team or anything about their plans. stop acting like you know better#stop acting like they're not doing things correctly#and i don't want to be rude but i KNOW this is coming from people who weren't around during walls promo and are just basing this off of#other artists promo strategies#when you compare walls promo and success to this you will realise how much active effort his team is putting into it#so yeah. just shut up and enjoy the album

Oh I’d love to hear your first thoughts on the album! I think it’s really excellent - so much of what I hoped it would be <3
Thanks for asking anon. I really love Faith in the Future and I'm so happy about it.
When I heard Lucky Again, and realised it was on the album I was really excited, because I loved the sound and it seemed like a great place for Louis to go. My expectations had dampened a little with Bigger than Me, which I found deeply boring (although some interesting lyrics and Out of My System, which was less boring, but didn't connect. I really liked Silver Tongues - but I listened to it once before going to work and then didn't get back till 10pm, so I hadn't really had a chance to take it in, before midnight NZST hit.
So I was delighted last night when I listened to it last night and so many songs made me happy. I loved the energy and the sound - and that there was interesting variety. It seemed joyous and interesting and in some places really unexpected. I also found I like I connected Out of My System in context in a way I hadn't previously.
I've been listened to it a lot today - and have a lot of thoughts, which I'm sure I'll get to in the next few days (as well as have more). But the point I'm going to make tonight is how much I love the way Louis talks about connection (something that I've been interested in since the Two of Us video with Richard).
I love that 'That's the Way Love Goes' is about connecting with a friend who is recovering from heartbreak and supporting them. I think the production choices (and the way it sounds like it could be a song about a break-up) values the relationship with someone who gets you over a break-up as much as a romantic relationship. In Both All This Time and Angels Fly you have songs about connecting through difficulty (not sure whether I can deal withh the Chorus of Angels Fly, but I love the beginning)
Two of the really strong themes on the album are joy with other people, and healing pain by connecting with other people. I really love that as an album in response to the pandemic.
It's a strange thing, how albums connect with you and why. It can be super specific and random. I think all sorts of things are feeding into how happy this makes me. Ever since I experienced a period of intense isolation during the pandemic, my feelings about human connection have been very close to the surface. I teared up three or four times yesterday just reading about various ways people cared for each other. And this album is resonating with that part of me.
#Obviously there's a lot more I could say#but that'll do for a start#oh there's something else#with the contrast of Walls#and how I was feeling during Walls release#in the middle of what was up till then the grimmest winter of my life#with the election depression showing no sign of abating#and Walls release#and going to see him in Barcelona#is one of handful of distinct things#that I remember that bridge the time#between the election and lockdown#And listening to his next album#and it's summer#and my life is so much better#and the album is so joyous#That's what I mean about the experiences of albums being very specific

No u see I simply had to buy all of these things from todays merch drop bc the shirt matches my TGG tattoo and the box set matches my other TWY anniversary box set and the camp flag will look great next to my other TWY camp flag that’s in a virtually indistinguishable color palette. I had no choice. It was required. My wife said she can’t even argue because “they’ve kept me alive for this long”.

design notes: i looked up some punk album covers for inspiration and went for a poppy color palette to reflect the energy of the song. i love working with colors but it can be hard to control sometimes with readability because of all the competing elements haha, colors took the most time to decide. i think it looks really good as the little song icon!
for the punk elements, i did this magazine paper cut out effect for the title by changing letters to different fonts and moving them around, then drawing over to mess up the edges. i also put ripped paper where he's kicking a hole through the poster, referencing his burst
i wanted to break up the solid area at the bottom of his shoe, so i put the electro symbol for scara to step on whenever he walks. rebellion ‼️‼️‼️🦅🦅🦅🦅

both of your fans went crazy with theories about the two of you dating and giving each other signed albums as gifts.

a rumor has been going around lately that you and sunghoon were chosen as the new ambassadors for a famous brand.
the rumor kept on going until a new photoshoot came out, and not-so-surprisingly, it was a new photoshoot of you and sunghoon together, presenting you as the new ambassadors for the brand.
you and sunghoon stood extremely close to each other, posing extremely close to each other as well. you had an interaction that fans has never seen before between a fem and a male idols.
a few days later the brand posted a short video of the behind the scenes, showing the both of you really close to each other with such a good interaction between you two.
fans went insane, making your photoshoot trending everywhere and talking about it all the time. especially shipping the both of you nonstop.

sunoo is already known as the king of kpop, who knows all the trends and new kpop songs. to other fans it wasn’t new when he was cheering for you when it was your performance, to his fans it wasn’t the case.
sunoo himself got up and danced to your performance, he cheered and chant for you, it’s something they’ve never seen before, even his members looked surprised.
you also went down the stage and interacted with other idols, when you got to sunoo, both of you danced together and had the cutest interaction ever.
the other fans started to notice the cute interaction and agreed that this is something they’ve never seen before.
sunoo and you went trending as the new kpop queen and king without even trying to do so.
“did you see their interaction and how he cheered? YOU CANT TELL ME THEY’RE NOT DATING!!😭😭 HE’S SUCH A SUPPORTIVE BOYFRIEND”

new MCs were introduced, aka you and jungwon. the fans weren’t expecting for much interaction between you two. they mostly thought it’d be so awkward between you two at start.

both of you looked a bit more than comfortable around each other, making jokes and playfully pushing the other.
the idols you interviewed together looked shocked mostly from the way the you acted around each other, they could’ve swore you two are dating but hiding it.
even you were asked multiple times by your idol friends you interviewed if you and jungwon are dating. the both of you left the whole kpop community in shock.
you made fans wait impatiently every week to see new interactions of the both of you, you got the kpop community wrapped around your fingers. both of you even won as the couple of kpop in one of the award shows.

you wanted to get some coffee since you craved for some. you argued with your manager and told her you’d be careful enough to not get recognized and she let you off.
ni-ki at the same time lost in a rock paper scissor game and had to buy coffee to all the members.
you both happened to go to the same coffee place without even knowing.
he accidentally bumped into you and the both of you had a short interaction of a ‘sorry’ and ‘it’s okay, no worries’ type of thing.
the fans who recognized you from afar and were respectful enough to not bother you, took some pictures of your short interaction with ni-ki, which made his fans and your fans go wild.
they immediately started shipping you, thinking that you were on your way to have a date together and didn’t have much interaction because you both were in public.
“they won’t go to the same place for no reason!! they probably bought some coffee and went on a date in a more private place after that!! they look so cute!!😭😭”
