@sleepy-night-child just put out an open tag for this, and I am entirely too pleased with myself for (slowly) making progress on what has nominally been my WIP for several years (despite a near-total lack of any meaningful progress being made for most of that time). So... proof that I can still, in fact, press keys!

Ernst's POV

The same man he’d wanted to strangle. To murder. Ernst had looked at this man, lying at his feet and mercy, looked him in the eyes—and his thoughts had turned unflinchingly to blatant murder. This soldier was Großsachser; his dull gray uniform, with its brown stains of blood and mud turning it to a crude camouflage, said enough, and his face the rest. This man was the enemy, less so to Ernst than the Ænglisce here, more so for Ernst’s kin left up in the north. More than enemy; a scourge, a curse colder and deeper than the glaciers which had once carved valleys and fjords through his homeland.

Cupcake Tag Game

Someone tagged me for this, at some point. Or had an open tag? Or something. I don't know. Tumblr deleted a lot of my taggings. So I'm going to assume this is somehow either @sleepy-night-child or @whither-wander-whump's fault. Unless it's @ashen-crest. Or maybe it was all of you? I dunno... I'm calling conspiracy on this anyway! 😈😋

Anyway, incredibly long post incoming. Click at your own risk!

First up, Johannes's cupcake. He's decided on a simple acorn flour cupcake decorated with a drizzle of honey and... edible goose feathers...? And as a side, he's presented a rather impressive collection of what we hope are candy pills.

...Perhaps he should stick with politics instead of cake decorating.

Otto is doing a little better. We managed to get this photo before he ate it, and while the goat is something of an unusual design choice, at least we have a consistent theme of chocolate. To the point of triple chocolate, in fact. A decent design.

Ernst's cupcake, while having some difficult with the wrapper, came out nicely. It seems he went with a cinnamon raspberry cupcake with powdered sugar on top and a cream filling. There are some questions about the presence of a syringe in the background, but hopefully it just has raspberry jam or something in it. We hope.

Theodor's cupcake is very strong on the strawberry: we have strawberry cake, strawberry icing, and strawberries on top, with a cream filling in the middle. There also appears to be an eye on the cupcake, but that's fine.

Now, uh... who's going to be brave enough to open the envelope?

...Hans, no.

Just no.
