Very late to the convo but saying this as a trans nonbinary person, sometimes trans people say crazy weird shit too and should be argued with online💗being trans doesn’t exclude them from saying shit that is just incorrect (same with all minorities tbh)
This is very true like I was beefing with that one trans person because they were calling me racial slurs. I think for myself, I'm not going to side with you because of your identity or because you're on the "right" side. People from any minority can be wrong or bigoted. I would never stoop down to their level and call them a targeted slur or anything like that though.

Words like "cervix" and "uterus" are absolutely inaccessible for ESL people though, and "cervix-haver" and "uterus-haver" even more so, both of which I've seen. These are uniquely English word structures and I would think that they are diseases if I didn't know those words already. Saying this as someone who went to a bilingual gymnasium, I only learned the word cervix thanks to being on r/badwomensanatomy or whatever that subreddit is called. I still don't see the problem behind "biologically female" tbh. If that makes you dysphoric you'll obviously be way too dysphoric to get pap smears or mammograms anyways😐 but the first gen immigrants would probably appreciate knowing that they're offered
I think if people don't know what a uterus (or womb) is there are deeper problems at play than trans people.
"___-haver" is not the only way to phrase that in English; "person with ___" is right there. Which is how its also phrased in other languages. From @anomalousmancunt:
#Not to mention that assuming non-english speaking women are too dumb to understand new terms is fucking disgusting#guess what anon. If you're USAmerican then your feminism is at least partially built on the work of latinoamerican feminists#feminists outside of the anglo bubble can understand new language just fine. we build new language always#like literally. it was hispanic feminists promoting an entire new pronoun IN SPANISH (one of THE gendered languages)#you think we're going to struggle latching onto the term PEOPLE?#as IF latam feminists didn't already use terms like 'gente que menstrua' and 'personas gestantes'#argentina had a gender identity law before the USA legalized gay marriage ffs#we don't need you to defend us against the evils of gender neutral language anon
Also, trans people die when they can't get proper gynecological care, so fuck you for acting like that's a cute thing to snark about.

Am I the asshole in this situation??
First of all I'm so sorry for bringing t/b discourse here but this has been so gd annoying I need help. And all this is is on twitter-retro etc.
I'm 100% here for switch please keep in mind. Idc what anyone else likes it's food I'll eat all of it. But this fandom. Oh this fandom. So here's the context, it's a anime show with a really popular almost canon mlm ship, one of them is crazy beautiful and the other one is a big muscular man. Naturally the fandom like the pretty man as bottom and the muscular man as top. Let's call this DC. Not all people tho and it's the problem.
See, there are some creators who hate the above dynamics so much they make the muscular man a woman, sometimes trans which is fine but they always babygirl him, call him wifey, use she/her pronouns, go all out to make the pretty man over the top masculine so he can be top while making the canon masculine man demure little wife. Note that they're both really tall but D has long hair so they always make him wear accessories to feminize him. I made friends with some authors who used to like switch, they wrote DC back then and they were so good. They were all into switch too. Over the years they became really hateful of DC dynamics and started to exclusively write CD, talk about CD only, rt CD art exclusively.
This is still fine, they're like 10 people out of thousands who don't care, and most people don't care. Until one day recently when I said it was better to ship switch. Those people started clowning me, saying it's their right to exclusively like whatever, write whatever, started ignoring how the show portrays them. They wrote literal threads detailing how to how use tags as if no one knows, shaded people who said they didn't care and would use whatever tags they liked. It got to a point I had to ask them to stop, they started saying I was harassing them and accused the fandom of harassing them on anon and ao3. When I said it Doesn't Matter they said it was racist to suggest that, telling me to block if I didn't like their posts. I could not make them understand how fetishistic it was, just because Japanese fans do this doesn't mean it's good or we have to follow? They somehow figured out who I was and blocked me, kicked me out of a server we were in together, so I lost mutuals and some followers too.
Then they started answering my asks unseriously like "I write CD to piss YOU off" "can't project on the twink like yall" and started insulting switch fans calling us hypocrits. There isn't much CD content to begin with how can I share more of those? Whatever is available they make it heteronormative like that. One of them deadass called me an asshole for "harassing" them just because I said it's rude to block people over t/b dynamics when no one is bothering anyone, because these people are always blocking anyone posting DC and making a bubble of CD only fans. This is bound to make them lose track of canon but who cares anymore. They keep complaining about being harassed for liking CD and yes some fans probably send anon hate but that doesn't mean any critic of CD is harassment?
Tell me how I'm the asshole here for suggesting they stop obsessing over t/b this much? How am I the asshole when I'm the one they all blocked and apparently I'm a bad guy because I followed some popular accounts who post DC and said some weird things about D which I didn't even know about.
What are these acronyms?

Can I request a homelander x single mother reader
Hl meets struggling reader with her newborn child. At first he watches her taking pleasure in how pathetic she is but eventually falls I love with her 🙏
So unfortunately one of my things with being a trans man is it’s very very hard for me to be able to envision this perspective and go too in depth with it, because it does end up inducing some weird bubblings of dysphoria (the mother role, not the having a kid thing), but I’m good to go surface level and just sort of headcanon it out if it’s all the same to you anon <3
He actually had no intention of fixating on you whatsoever. Not only were you normal– you were boring.  Just some human mud living your human life.  Not his speed at all.  At least, that’s what he kept telling himself.
See, he could smell it.  He practically salivated the second he got a whiff of your body producing milk.  You were just some desk jockey finally returning after maternity leave, but you caught his eye in mere seconds.
Then he started really paying attention.  Watching through the walls, following you home, watching you pick up that sniveling beast that you fawned over so dearly no matter how loudly it screeched in the middle of the night.  How you didn’t leave the thing for the wolves after the first explosive diaper was beyond him, but the soft, nurturing, kind side of you ensures the wee thing is put back together and content before even once worrying for yourself.
After a while, he can really see it in your eyes.  You’re exhausted.  Barely making ends meet, barely affording the babysitter, barely keeping from keeling over.
He smirks when you miss your stop on the train.  You don’t know he’s sat on the connector between cars, mere feet away, but you don’t have to know that.  You don’t have to know anything like that.  You just need to sit pretty and let him watch.
Just like you really don’t need to worry when you’re cornered in an alley by some filth reeking of alcohol.  You don’t need to fret, because he’s there in a heartbeat, lasering that worthless fuck in two and sweeping you into his safe, strong arms.
Your tears leak against his chest and he swears to hell and back he’ll never allow the costume department to wash away your scent.  He brings you to a roof, makes small talk while you calm down.
“Say, you work at Vought, don’t you? I think I’ve seen you around.”
He thinks he’s so smooth about it.  Like it’d be a mystery the next day when you’ve got a whopping promotion to be his new assistant, complete with a full benefits package including childcare and a salary that nearly has you falling to your knees.
The flowers on your desk are only the start…
I do also want to apologize that my requests have taken so long to start. I had an absolutely insane workload for school over the last 12 weeks, but thankfully I've got a little break now. That said, my requests are open once again <3

hi !!!!! can i request a transfem autistic tavros with phantom limb pain and a catgender autistic nepeta with burn scars? (they're <3 btw)
Tumblr media
[id: a cartoon of tavros and nepeta laying next to each other in "white space", though the background shows a light pink heart pattern with a big red heart in the center. tavros is a thin transfem troll with lightish skin, laying on her side with faer head tilted to accommodate her horns. she has a mullet and wears a grey denim vest with a sign patch and a trans patch, a black slip dress, and red knee high converse. zig zag lines come out of faer back representing phantom limb pain from wings. nepeta curls up across from her, leaning nya's head on paw's arms. nya has short black hair with a blue and green raccoon tails, a blue cat beanie, footpaws, fingerless gloves and tail, a green trench coat, and dark grey pants. paw has burn scars along the right side of nya's face and paws left hand. they're chatting-- nepeta has a speech bubble with a question mark, and tavros responds with red wings. tavros blushes and nepeta looks at her intently. end id.]

as an autistic transmasc, have you had an issue with your voice tone being a "giveaway", especially early on with learning about your autism and unmasking? I've found for myself that my "customer service voice" or even "public" voice (aka my masking voice) is much more feminine, lighter, and friendlier than my unmasked voice, even pre-testosterone, which often leads to me getting misgendered more in my work place. This happens worse on days where I'm already anxious or having a rough mental health day, so I'm not focusing on unmasking, and so I'm automatically putting up my pre-T mask voice without thinking about it. If you have experience with this, do you have recommendations for working on this?
Growing up, I had a lot of gay male friends who would invariably get "ma'amed" on the phone. They continued being mistaken for women over the phone after we all grew up, because their voices are lighter, softer, more filled with emotional affect, and just generally more stereotypically feminine than straight men's voices are.
Familiarity with men like these got me comfortable with the idea that my voice can be high, expressive, and feminine without me being a woman, and that people misgendering based upon it isn't even a uniquely transgender experience. Lots of gay men like me have it. So I don't think about it.
If your customer service voice makes you feel dysphoric, you certainly can practice changing it. I have a "straight guy" voice that I will trot out when I'm donating blood or in certain unfamiliar customer service situations. It's low and gruff and flat, very inexpressive; my straightsona is a mopey depressed kind of guy. He gives less emotional energy away to other people. If you're working in customer service, feeling less pressure to do all that emotional labor of being bubbly at people might be desirable, maybe you want to be more gruff. There are a lot of great resources out there on voice training for trans femme people -- I like Stef Sanjati's videos -- and you can adopt the same techniques for practicing a more reflexively masculine voice if you want one, or if it sounds more like the real you to you.
But my real self is expressive and swishy and gay and gets ma'amed over the phone sometimes and doesn't give a shit! So I don't worry about how people interpret my voice. Your mileage may vary anon, but I'm of the opinion no trans person should have to worry about vocal training and that one of our most attractive qualities as queer people is our unusual voices.

Hi ! This is the anon who had a full on gender crisis in your asks like, a month ago I think ?
First I wanted to apologize, now that I'm doing better I realize that venting to a random trans person online was maybe kind of uhh... rude ^^'
And secondly I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, because your answer was just, so, so nice that I teared up a little bit (a lot). And sometimes over the course of one month, I came back to the post and felt really emotional still. You took the time to explain things in a touching way and with utmost kindness, so yeah. Thank you. Now, I took the time to reflect on my identity, regardless of what other folks thought of me. And I decided to educate myself more on like queer history and people's experiences with labels and stuff ? And a lot of it resonated with me, I just chose to ignore it so I could stay in my own little bubble of self loathing... And I actually came out as nonbinary to one of my closest friend, so that's cool heh. So, yknow, I can't make judgements about someone I don't know, but I think you might be a really good person :) because your words really helped someone out...
Oh and also, I absolutely love your art so much it converted me into a Soriel shipper, and your opinions are very true, keep going and may the haters be blocked 👍👍👍
have a nice day !

gender essentialism will not save you
My feminism is incompatible with gender essentialism. I believe that everyone should be able to express their femininity or masculinity regardless of their sex, and that the socially constructed idea of gender and associated roles should be broken down. In my ideal world, being male or female is as inconsequential to your self-expression or social status as having brown eyes vs blue. I'm literally a butch lesbian. I even think that adults should be able to access HRT for whatever ends they think are right for them, so long as their actions aren't hurting anyone else. Hell, I'm on a low dose of testosterone myself for pragmatic reasons.
Radical feminism isn't incompatible with any of those principles, and it's more closely aligned with my values than a lot of the modern TRA movement. There are good arguments out there making the point that TRAs' principles have evolved towards gender essentialism. Ofc, trans people aren't a monolith (no group is, including radfems), and there are plenty of trans people out there who don't fall into the gender essentialist trap. But the number of trans people I've known online and IRL who've tried to convince me that I have "the mind/soul of a man" because of the way I don't conform to society's expectations of women is large enough that I think it's a problem that needs to be addressed. This is more of a response than a dumb anon like this warrants, but I haven't been on Tumblr in a minute. Might as well express where my thoughts are at this point in time, since they're constantly evolving. Which is a healthy thing to experience - if you have the same ideas about TRA and radical feminism that you did when you first encountered either, you should probably step outside of that bubble you're in.
