Tbh... I don't think TOH should get a pass for it's shoddy plot just because some of the stuff that happens within the plot invokes an emotional response in people.

First of all, people react to concepts with varying degrees of emotional intensity based on what they like and/or their life experiences. Secondly, you can still create resonate moments with a good plot lmao.

There is no reason TOH should get a pass for making Belos a non threat for most of Season 1 just because people think x, y, z moment is wholesome or whatever.

#toh critical #i really hate this weird trend where people think story structure should be disregarded just because they happened to like an idea #and i guess there is an argument to be had that we shouldn't care about story structure because most people aren't even #aware of it when they start reading or watching something. Like they left everything they learned in literature class after they #graduated high school or college.#but it's like... then why do ppl go online to read negative analyses of their favorite piece of literature or media lmao #because people who write analyses care about story structure and it's important to them. so.#oh right and you know. just because most people aren't aware of story structure doesn't mean you shouldn't write a good story #that's like saying ''well since people don't care about music theory that means I can make a song without using music theory'' like???#very bizarre tbh

I listen to a song called Grapes by I dunno who but applying it to my AU stuff is really fun. The previous Chica is having a TIME with it and recently?

Been thinking about Jurassic Bark going through some hiccups over Roxy not telling them why she's so upset (it's because of Mimic stuff btw she's struggling) and to give everyone some space she just... Swaps places with her friend that happens to be her only predecessor. Completely forgetting that they'd think she'd done something to get herself scrapped and replaced by a new Roxy. She thought they'd talk for a sec first but nah Chica and Monty just fucking crumbled the moment she introduced herself with a different name and saw the different model number on the scan. Neither of them clocked that the model number was lower than before but still

Then the other side? Roxy completely removing herself from the limelight to try and recuperate after everything... She just so happens to be with not only two of the canines from the old Raceway and Jack, but also a few Chica and Monty variants. Like at least one of each. Maybe even Tiger, who everyone else believes is the Storyteller who did some shit and a half to them. Roxy not even thinking about it, alternating between the carnival, the salon and wherever else, trying to take a god damn break...

And they don't act the way her partners would. They do sometimes but they don't support her the same way. They think she's just naturally very cuddly or clingy or something until they figure out she's unknowingly latched onto them cause of those she loves. Boy is that a fun conversation...

I can't really do anything with this, mostly because I have no idea what could possibly push Chica and Monty to want a break of some kind with Roxy. But also because I haven't really made any previous Montys yet lmao. Could do Pupcakes/Roxica with it but I love the trio a lot so...

...I only just discovered a flaw in my data of "all the songs I listened to" that doesn't really cause any problems in reality, but is pretty fucking funny.

Songs with the same title get counted as the same even if they have different artists.

You'd think, oh, surely that never happens, right? Well it actually has happened at least twice!

This is mostly funny to me because of Jerusalem. Those are two... very, very different takes on the classic hymn "Jerusalem", lmfao. I don't think it had even occurred to me before that I had two versions of it in my listening collection. Luckily I didn't listen to either of them enough to give a false reading that "Jerusalem" was one of my top listened songs!

(Also I wanna say that the reason I made artist come up and realised this is that when I try to look at my top 100 most listened songs, I look at half of their titles and go "what the fuck is that? apparently I listened to a song titled 'Moon' 5 times?! who the fuck even is that?")
