XZ’s GQ February issue candies 🍬

now that we all had the time to appreciate the lovely photos and videos from that cover & collab — which is honestly a whole meal on it’s own, now is the time for some sweets. 🫶🏼 nothing too extravagant, a few similarities and clues we have connected only. i think the best candy still is the fact that it’s now confirmed that zz & wyb both have a good relationship with gq. even rocco going as far as choosing xz to start having simultaneous cover releases with other countries. sit tight and wait for all the toxic narratives to be proven wrong. don’t sweat it. the road ahead is long. let’s enjoy life and support the boys! 🫶🏼

One thing i noticed, and was actually surprised about was WYB posting an ad for Super X as early as 8:00 AM. Tho he may post at 8:05, which is rare, he usually does ad posts at 10:00. The 8:05 is mostly done by the brands. We have talked about them trying their best not have work overlap, this is a minor one, but as soon as GQ posted at 9:30 i feel like i know what’s happening. Then it didn’t stop till 12:00 nn. It doesn’t help cause i’m clowning that the short film feature for this cover was assigned Chapter 8. WYB posted at 8, the full short film is 8. What a nice coincidence!

Knowing WYB is not a stranger to doing short films with GQ and their love for movies! It wouldn’t really surprise me now if GG does a full feature about LOCH with them. These two really chose the same publication to do exclusive for their projects 😌😌

overall, there is really not that much we can clown about when it comes to photos alone. tho what gg is wearing has an interesting story as shared by @rainbowsky here. some may say it’s the stylist and magazine’s choice but we still love seeing the association. In addition, the clothes were inspired by Nicole Kidman’s clothes in a Chanel perfume ad. i love the unconventional wedding dress choice here, it fits them! <3

moving on to the biggest way we can cpn tho is the interview & cover story.

i especially liked the questions, it wasn’t cutesy. it asked what needed to be asked.

here are some of the similarities i found with them and their outlook in life and career. 🤍

First of all, being professional is an unavoidable topic. You can have a non-major background, but you must have excellent professional skills. This is what I want to do, this is who I am. I feel that I am not enough, and i’m too far behind.

I think (improving acting skills) is a cumulative process. You can’t make a big step forward with just one movie. This is difficult for me to happen. So you have to keep filming, but you have to keep filming good films and don't consume yourself.

It’s the intent to be a better actor and the self awareness of not having that “background” people expect them to have. However, they can compensate by being professional. by being the hardest working person in the room. Sometimes I feel like it’s okay for them to praise themselves and not always be this critical, but i guess that’s what make them the best too cause they have high standards for themselves.

At present, I want to be an actor who makes the audience like you. Maybe everyone is not your fan, or even not particularly interested in you, but you know that he has a drama, Do you want to watch it? His dramas are all good. I want to do this. This is my current goal. Is it possible to become the actor I like? This is a rule.

THIS. This!!!!!! I feel like they both have this outlook. They don’t need every single person to be their “fan” but the goal is to become known and liked by the general public. That people are familiar with them as good actors with excellent works. It’s why there is absolutely no need to beat yourself up on who is the better fan. It doesn’t keep the boys up at night. Lol.

The two of them have the same intention of not wanting to cause trouble to the people. That means making sure their fans do not cause unnecessary public issues like gathering in certain places.

Which is actually a common misconception about XZ or — you know what? he was kind cautious before but as time goes by, he became more relaxed and candid with his answers. It’s still insightful, but not as practiced. In the Q&A, he mentioned that there are things that cannot be said. Setting boundaries like that. Similarly, WYB is the same. We’ve heard stuff saying that he is in a more relaxed state now. I love that for them!

I still sneak out to ride a bicycle, take a walk, and do a CityWalk. Only once, just now in after walking in the alley for 5 minutes, I was recognized. I also sneaked into the cinema to watch a movie. No one will care about you, really. after leaving the Internet, many things will be solved easily. Sometimes the world is right in front of us.

This goes out to everyone that says how can they go out? How are the CPNs of them spending time together be true? Well this is the answer. Sneaked into a cinema to watch a movie? I hope they do that together too ^^

When he goes to different cities, Xiao Zhan will bring the same type of pillows and quilts. "I will bring everything that can help me sleep well." He has also tried aromatherapy lamps, lavender essential oil, and various other products that make him fall asleep when applied on his body.

┊ ˚➶ ｡˚ Contrary to the stereotypes, I don't think I've ever met a two faced Gemini. They honestly seem pretty cool people, they have so many friends and they just know how to communicate, you know? Their relationship with their partner looks really wholesome to outsiders too (but could be just me viewing it this way, lol). If anything, I think they just stand out more, which makes it a bit more difficult to approach them. 🤷‍♀️

┊ ˚➶ ｡˚ Gemini sun girls also have something aesthetic about them, like my cousin has a nice academia aesthetic going on in her life and a classmate from uni has this high-end fashion sense, she looks really pretty everytime (For some reason, when I think of Geminis, I'm envisioning luxury parties with champagne and brands like YSL and Louis Vuitton, that's the vibe I get) ✨

┊ ˚➶ ｡˚ People with Sagittarius in their big three (sun, moon, rising) are some of the most outgoing people I know. They have so many connections and, once their schedule allows it, they start planning coffee dates, hangouts with their friends, clubbing etc. A friend of mine can literally NOT stay at home the entire day, he just HAS to go out or meet up with people for at least 2-3 hours. 🏙️

Sure, you want to have your me time (it's fine, we all do) but you also can't stand not having company around. Like, you'll randomly decide to stay in and spend some time alone but then you'll get upset and start calling your friends and family. A friend of mine cannot stand being alone for too long, even if we spend the whole day together, he hates being home on his own, to the point where he sometimes straight up takes the bus back to his hometown. It's wonderful that you enjoy spending so much time with others (I could never, lolll) but try picking up a hobby when you don't have the chance to be around people as much. It'll kind of distract you from loneliness and give you the chance to have some quality time with yourself 🧩

Edit: Bonus Observations

So a lot of you guys commented that Aquarius actually prefers solitude and could easily pass time all by themselves, so I looked into the charts of the social Aquas I know irl and see what it is that makes them so outgoing and talkative;

(I didn't include houses because I haven't gotten to confirm their birth times)

• My friend has Saturn in Gemini, which can make people talkative in any situation (I also have this placement and, although I see myself as an introverted homebody, I am surprisingly pretty chatty and enjoy going out with people that make me happy). Truly, he always gives something to talk about with everyone he knows, sometimes he'll start a conversation with another friend of his while I'm standing there not knowing what to say or do in the meantime, like 🧍‍♀️?

• He also has Mars in Sagittarius and Jupiter in Leo; energetic, lively and outgoing, thrives when surrounded by people. He almost never gets tired of hanging out with people, my low social battery could never 😅

• Other than her sun, my mom also has Aquarius in her Mercury, which makes her friendly and likeable, plus she enjoys conversing with people.

• Another thing about my mom, her placements are a bit contradictory; She has Sun in Aquarius, Moon in Virgo, and Uranus and Pluto in Libra - These indicate shyness, independence and introversion. Truly, she prefers doing things on her own most of the time and doesn't open up to just anyone. She also used to be very shy around my age (probably because of Virgo moon?). However, she also has Jupiter and Neptune in Sagittarius, which make her more adventurous, outgoing, charming and humorous. So that would probably explain this whole 'outgoing yet independent yet still can't be lonely' vibe she gives me.

Chapter one: Forgive and Forget

19th May.

Being part of the royal family was not simple but not difficult either. That's how it was for the princess. Every time she's at the kingdom, all she feels is sorrow and spiritlessness while roaming around the kingdom. The queen, also her mother, mentioned that the princess will be the next queen in line to serve her kingdom.. but without a king?

The princess has had her future planned since she was a small girl. She didn’t want a man to be satisfied, hell she didn’t need anyone to make her feel overjoyed. Princess (Y/n) didn’t even want to be a princess, living in a royal environment while having servants to serve her. Most people would think it’s a dream to be living in an environment like royalty, but not her. All she wanted to do was be an aspiring journalist, writer, any career that will not treat her the same as anything related to royalty. That was her dream.

“Her Royal Highness. Her Majesty called me to tell me that the Royal Briefing is starting in an hour. Shall I start the bath now?” Her thoughts were soon disrupted but a smile formed on her face.

“Yes, Roberta. And I told you to not call me that anymore. You’re part of the family, remember?” Y/n had a look of sympathy while speaking to her. Even though Roberta is just a servant, she’s looked out for her since her birth.

“I know.. I know.. But it is a force of habit. If His Majesty or Her Majesty notices me lacking in my work, who knows?” Roberta looked down while she sighs in disappointment. Princess (Y/n) rested her hands on her shoulder as she grinned from ear to ear. Oh Roberta already knows what look she just gave to her.

“Not to worry Roberta! I will not let them harm you and your family, you have my word! Well I’m going to get ready for the brief meeting. Bye!” Before Roberta could speak, (Y/n) had already run off to her chamber with speed. Roberta sighed and smiled then continued with her work.

As Princess (Y/n) arrived at her chamber, she glanced at the time and her eyes widened, she really did take her time and is thus rushing to change for the royal briefing. 5 minutes had passed and she was still struggling to put on her dress, loud grunts could be heard promptly before she walked out of her chamber like nothing happened.

Roberta heard running footsteps from upstairs and chuckled at the clumsy girl. Princess (Y/n) was muttering under her breath while walking into the briefing room.

“Her Royal Highness has arrived!” The Lord Steward announced as everyone's eyes were on her and she smiled awkwardly while walking at a fast pace to The Queen.

“Where on earth were you?! You were supposed to be here 2 minutes ago.” The queen aggressively whispers through her clenched teeth. She hates when (Y/n) arrives late to any meeting. It didn’t matter if it was 1 minute late, or 3 minutes late, it’s still counted as late.

“I’m sorry, I lost track of time...” (Y/n) apologized, Princess (Y/n) never spoke much with her stepmother, they weren’t close, never tried to be. She’d like it to stay that way.

“Sorry doesn’t cut it. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m here to discuss something important. About you.” The queen spoke in the most blunted way to her and turned back to everyone. On the other hand, Princess (Y/n) tilted her head in confusion at what she just said.

“The main reason why I called a brief meeting is about The Princess. I may have made some minor mistake, but as I thought more into it, I figured it would be for her own good.” The more The Queen spoke, the more confused Princess Y/n was.

“As you all know, Princess (Y/n) is going to be the next queen once I retire. But because of the minor mistake, she’s going to be the next queen in line for another kingdom.”

“Kingdom of Orane.”

Princess (Y/n) immediately spat out her water and looked at her mother in shock. She knew that The Queen did this on purpose so that she wouldn’t need to serve her kingdom. Her face was filled with rage and fury.

“How could you, Mother?! You did this on purpose. I know you did! Was this payback from all the things I made you crazy about? I can’t believe you!” Her mother looked into her eyes with a cold stare and shook her head, feeling as though her daughter was acting crazy and immature.

“(Y/n), some things just won’t come easy to you. Look at you, you’re a princess, start acting like one. You should be grateful that you’ve been born into this family. You are to be heading to the Kingdom of Orane first thing in the morning and that is final.” The Queen and the other upperclassmen proceed out of the door leaving her with her emotions holding back. This was never expected from The Queen. Nonetheless, her own mom, sending her away just so she wouldn’t rule her kingdom.

20th May.

This is it. Princess (Y/n) is getting shipped to the Kingdom of Orane for good. No last goodbyes and promises from her family. How cruel could The Queen even be? Especially to her own daughter, her only daughter?

The door creaked and Princess (Y/n)'s head shot up, only to see a sad Roberta dragging her feet towards her. She didn't want her to leave since she was the only thing that kept Roberta positive, other than her family.

"I'm sorry I have to leave this kingdom, Roberta. It all just happened so fast and.. I didn't know this would happen, and you know that too right, Roberta?"

"Please, don't feel sorry Princess (Y/n).. It is my job as a servant.. although I will miss you." Roberta went in for a tight hug and it was really comforting.

(Y/n) hugged her back exuberantly as a response. Soon she had to break away from the hug and had to get going to the Kingdom of Orane.

Long dry hair, slightly flushed cheeks, and that same mischievous gleam in his eyes. He wore his old jean vest, the one with the metal bands patches. The only thing that was different was his new shiny leather jacket, which glowed under the bar's yellow lights.

🎸ㆍThen, you go to sit at his table, where the rest of his band was. Corroded Coffin was grabbing headlines everywhere in the country, mainly because of their new approach to Metal, composing elaborate guitar riffs and melodic choruses, making commercial music but with that underground edge. But also because of their Dungeons and Dragons inspired songs, which weren't well received by the older audience and labeled as Satanic. Because of this, their albums all have the increasingly popular 'Parents Advisory' sticker.

🎸ㆍThey are also known to make Nerd-Metal music, which was a genre specifically created to describe their music. Just one album out and they're already infamous.

🎸ㆍAs far as you remember, Eddie Munson already had a reputation for himself back at home, but now that he had one hundred percent surrendered to the rockstar lifestyle, his notoriety was unprecedented. He was in every music magazine, every TV channel and everyone seems to know who he is – something that he handles more gracefully than you thought he would. Eddie seems to really like the attention.

🎸ㆍWell, next thing you know, you're standing at the side stage of Corroded Coffin's gig at The Troubadour, and Eddie merrily walks up to you holding a backstage pass. I believe it's needless to say that this was the first of many passes to come.

🎸ㆍThe beginning of your relationship wasn't easy at all, given your busy schedules. It seemed like whenever you had free time, he had an interview; or when he could spend the entire day at his hotel room, hanging out, you had to leave for another tiring photoshoot. It took a long while until you figured out how to make things work.

🎸ㆍBut you have to admit that those late-night escapades to his rented room in Chateau Marmont are forever engraved in your mind. Besides the endless partying, there was nothing better than laying on Eddie's side while he lazily played guitar for you, as you shared one of those long lounging chairs by the hotel's poolside. 🎸ㆍHe swears he had never written as many songs as he did when you did that. The thought of you, laying so gracefully on that chair with the sun coming up above you, on the horizon… man, it inspires him to the max.

🎸ㆍTogether, you started to build the reputation of an it-couple, or whatever those teenage magazines say about you. All you know is that his fans also became your fans, especially the young girls. Suddenly, it was like Corroded Coffin's concert audiences became a sea of mini-yous – wearing clothes reminiscent of your style, haircuts similar to yours, eyeliner just as smokey.

If anyone has asked, your love story with Jake was a fairytale. It wasn’t love at first sight. No. It was more like slow burn friends to lovers.

Growing up in the same small Texas town, you two always knew each other since elementary school. At first you were good friends. That was until Jake started hitting puberty come middle school.

Boys being boys is what people would tell you when he would tease you for not growing and staying short. The other girls in middle school started developing and teasing you too.

He quickly put a stop to them. In his eyes, he was the only one that could tease you because you were his friend.

Then came high school. Jake hadn’t seen you during the summer since your family went to visit friends in Europe. He was expecting to see the you he was used to.

He was not expecting the height you now reached, much less the soft curves that came over the summer. “Hi Jake!”

“Wow! You’re like a real girl now!” The punch to his arm takes him by surprise.

And so you two, despite being in totally different social circles, dated all through high school. When the time to pick colleges came, the two of you both wanted the same schools.

Jake, however, had a dream that he never told you about. He wanted to apply to the Naval Academy and so he did. He applied as soon as he turned 17. And every year he kept applying, improving his grades, until he was accepted just after his 21st birthday.

The same day he got accepted was your party for finishing your associates degree earlier than planned.

You were all dolled up and waiting for Jake to pick you up. When you hear him arriving, you rush out the door to meet him outside.

He takes his time getting out of his truck. He knows what he’s about to do is the worst thing in his life, but he feels like it’s still the best thing for the both of you.

Despite being anxious at his delay, something in his body language stops you from rushing to him.

He keeps the truck on as he approaches you at your front door. “Hey doll… Can we talk?” He makes no attempt to kiss you in greeting, though he wishes to do nothing else but kiss you.

“Is everything okay Jake?” You ask.

“Doll… there’s something that… I haven’t told you everything about me. About what I want.”

“Jake. We tell each other everything. What else is there for me to learn about you?”

“I’m leaving Texas. I’m going to Maryland…” he can’t bring himself to look you in the eyes.

“Maryland? What? Why?”

“Annapolis actually.”

At hearing the name, you knew. “You joined the Navy? That’s amazing Jake!” You move to hug him but he takes a step back, causing the first crack in your heart.

“It is. I’ve been applying since I turned 17 and got accepted today… I leave tomorrow. The sooner the better.”

“I’ll help you to the airpo-“

“No. You won’t. I’ll have my parents take me. We’re done.” He pauses for a moment, knowing that what he says next will make you hate him but it was easier to have you hate him than to leave you with a false hope that he would return. “I need to end this before you expect me to give up my dream of being an aviator. We had fun and nice run… But high school relationships don’t last. We never meant to last this long.”

The world around you stopped and started spinning counterclockwise at the same moment. You could feel your heart was in a free fall, awaiting for the hit that breaks it.

“I need to be single to focus on my career. You’ll only hold me back.” And that’s the hit that sank your heart deeper into the fall and finally reached the spike-covered floor.

He doesn’t give you time to say goodbye or even refute his statements. He turns and gets back in his truck and drives off.

It’s safe to say that you missed your own party that night. As well as the attempts of your friends to try to get you to go out for brunch to know what happened.

It had now been a month since Jake broke your heart and left you. You decided to pack up the little reminders of him and put them away.

You decide to pack a second box of stuff to return to his parents. With that you write him a note:

Jake:

I know things are never going to be the same for us. And I get it. I’m not going to beg you to love me. We can’t force what isn’t meant to be right?

Anyways, I’m leaving some of your stuff with your parents.

“It’ll be hard. But you’ll be able to. I’m here for you. And will continue to be here.”

And she was. She kept her promise. Day after day and week after week until months passed by and eventually you started returning to normal.

Every day that passed the pain would lessen. The future you once planned was amended. You had kept all your promises. The only one you broke was one you made to yourself. You promised yourself that you wouldn't reach out to him.

You did only once to wish him a happy new year.

to me, chamomile is a colour that reminds me of the sweet taste of a cup of warm milk tea, and i think that depicts you and isagi’s relationship pretty well. like the aromatic scent of milk tea is that being brewed on the stove, you attract each other. this kind of love seems like it would have first begun in high school, where you’re classmates, and you only know each other’s names—but you’re intriguing to him, and he charms you. like chamomile, you have a quiet yet comfortable energy that allured isagi into getting to know you, and eventually, led him to the labyrinth of love with you.

chamomile is also a colour that i would place it in the beige category, which i think embraces the idea of you and isagi trying to understand each other. in this relationship, you and isagi seem like you would spend many midnights together in the living room with a dim light on, smiling whilst conversing about all the random things in life. like how the internet has the answers to almost everything, or whether bread tastes better toasted or untoasted—you’re never bored of each other’s company. when things don't go the way you want it to, and either of you is upset, the other party will put in 110% to understand the other’s feelings and reasons.

i believe that in this relationship, you both may try to cater what the other wants a lot of the time. in a sense, you could describe it as the willingness to change, but i don't think that is the right way to say it. i think it’s more fitting to say that you both want to satisfy each other, and implement some sort of fairness in the relationship. such as your favourite dates—if you pick to have a dinner date, then isagi will pick the restaurant. if isagi chooses a cone for your shared ice cream, then you will choose the flavour. essentially, you both want to make sure that the other is comfortable in this relationship, and that there’s no need to hide your true values and preferences when with each other.

if you and isagi were to have any argument, i can’t see it lasting very long. it’s because you two are constantly on a journey to getting to know the other better, that any differences will be treated the same as a similarity. but chamomile has a somewhat dark tint, which could connect to the idea of tea being bitter—the things you both say in arguments can hurt a lot. while isagi is a total gren flag, and knows what is right to say and what is not, he could also let out words that cut when the argument heats up. perhaps you might do the same, but like i said before, i believe that any disputes would last only a short while before both you and him feel sorry and make up. isagi’s love for you is never meant to hurt you, and he’ll only continue to strive to be a better lover for you as each day goes by.
