Story. So On, So Forth
Previous | Next
[ID: Twelve digitally sketched panels in black and white, with some light blue.]
[Panel 1: Six Walter sits working on Scratch's arm, using a long, soldering iron like tool to place a glowing blue crystal into the power chamber. Scratch watches him work, looking tired. Six says, "I'd like to know what you know about Buster and Becile Industries." Scratch replies out loud, text with a particle effect to indicate roughness, "Love to (ellipses) but (ellipses) long story (ellipses)"]
[Panel 2: Six looks at Scratch, who looks back with concern while lifting his now repaired arm. Six says, "I see, in that case, I'd like to make you the same offer I made Vivian (ellipses)"]
[Panel 3: The Jack and The Jon stand on a balcony with an awning. The Jack is leaning over the railing, his elbows resting on it, while The Jon stands next to him with his hands on the railing in front of him. The Jack says, "I don't know what to think anymore. It all happened so fast (ellipses)"]
[Panel 4: The Jon looks out, away from The Jack, looking somber. He says, "Things happen fast. Figuring them out happens slow. We never really catch up."]
[Panel 5: The Jack looks at his left hand, which shakes with a tremor. Next to him, The Jon says, "Even with as much time as we have."]
[Panel 6: The Jack looks down and says, "I'm still angry at Hare and The Skull. Of course I am. Part of me will never forgive them."]
[Panel 7: The Jack's shivering left hand, palm open. He says, "But I dream of things being better between us. So (ellipses)"]
[Panel 8: The Jack's hand closes into a determined, but gentle, fist. He says, "I'll give them one last chance."]
[Panel 9: A selection of hats laid out on a table. There is a beanie with the initials 'WR' on the band, a baseball cap, a boater, a bowler, a beret, and a comically large cowboy hat with a star on it (a reference to one that appeared in old SPG music videos). The Spine says from off panel, "You may have (all caps) one (plain text) hat." The Skull asks from off panel, "Why?"]
[Panel 10: The Spine and The Skull stand in front of the table of hats. The Spine, arms folded and looking off to the side in annoyance, says, "Because you look naked. And you did something really nice for your friend and I'm still processing that." The Skull lifts an eyebrow, looking skeptically at the hats, and says, "Huh."]
[Panel 11: Beat panel, no text. The Skull, in the same position, looks over at The Spine with just his eyes. The Spine glares back, also unmoved.]
[Panel 12: The Spine gestures emphatically, palm up, and asks, "Well, are you going to pick something?" The Skull turns his head toward him and says, "Oh, I know which hat I want (ellipses)" End ID]
