THE RUBY7 CAN SENSE EMOTIONS OMG WAIT HEAR ME OUT- either:

A) the Ruby7 will sense Slip Jackson is sad, unbearably sad in his 15-20 year coma, and this will add into Peter's rage (not understanding what Juno's talking about the Ruby7 sensing sadness or whatever, not understanding why Slip does feel sad), and having to let go of Slip's dream. Or alternatively

B) the Ruby7 will sense nothing. Effectively brain dead, just a machine pumping his blood working his heart and lungs. Slip Jackson isn't alive, hasn't been alive for a while, and cannot be alive. Peter's rage (he was promised Slip's freedom in exchange for his services, he's worked two decades of his thirty years and for what?), letting go of the dream, etc etc.

holy shit what the hell did Mo Xiang Tong Xiu put in this webnovel???? i went from casually flicking thru some pages going "oh this is pretty interesting and a clever deconstruction of xianxia tropes. ohh pretty art." next minute i regained consciousness and discovered i had fallen into a fucking timesink where i feverishly read 2 volumes in the span of one day and stayed up until 4am reading the last one and now it's fucking over andmy heart rate still has not dropped below 300 bpm im just sitting here staring into space wanting to erase my memory so i could do it all again.

Not to like say “everyone should listen to naddpod” again, but everyone should listen to naddpod. I know it’s a more rules based dnd podcast with combat in honestly probably every episode, and that’s not some people’s thing, but it just doesn’t drag at all because 1) as I’ve said Brian Murphy is an encounter design god and 2) the players clearly love the game and are having so much fun throughout and it’s just such a joy to listen to and it just helps me fall in love with it all over again. For me, it has the perfect mix of knowing they’re an entertainment podcast and what that means in terms of pacing and in character decision making, while it still being clear that these people aren’t just doing this because it’s a hole they dug themselves into, but because it’s a genuinely enjoyable thing for them
