🦋 astrology notes: 14 🦋

quick note: i'm absolutely not an astrologer. these are just a collection of some of my observations, thoughts, theories, and personal experiences. above all this is just for fun. lastly, these may or may not apply to you but they may apply to someone you know. enjoy!

ꕤ venus-mars aspects: people with this aspect may feel good/beautiful when moving their body. they could really enjoy sex, stretching, exercising, playing sports, dancing, etc. could be into getting massages, doing their skin/hair care routine, eating healthy & more cause overall, they’re taking care of their body/themselves and they’re into that. there’s a desire to connect with their body and actually listen to what it wants and/or needs. they want to feel good and look good & they probably have a nice body too.

ꕤ neptune-uranus aspects: can indicate a wild sleeper. the type to shift the blankets from one end of the bed to the other, waking up with their pillow in weird positions or they themselves are hanging off the side of the bed. could accidentally hit people while they’re asleep if they share a bed with someone. may have strange dreams, possibly spiritual/prophetic ones too.

ꕤ libra venus: they want an equal relationship with equal effort. if they have kids with someone, they expect that person to be as involved as they are when it comes to parenting. it's a partnership so no one should be doing more than the other, it should be *balanced*. they absolutely know how to make a person feel loved, adored, and appreciated. they can be quite lovey-dovey & they also want to be doted on too. they want someone who makes them feel comfortable enough to not have to look or act perfect all the time. they want their partner to see their beauty on the outside & the inside too. even if it's not fun to admit, they know they’re not truly perfect and they want someone who will accept the parts of them that aren’t beautiful, the parts they're insecure of. yes they love compliments but genuine ones from their lover that aren’t always about their appearance are meaningful and cherished.

these people are so caring. this is a sweetheart placement. with that being said they expect their partner to be nice to them 98% of the time. this doesn’t mean you can’t tease them or make jokes, but just don’t overdo it or be rude. so this doesn’t necessarily mean that they want an extremely nice or gentle bf/gf, but rather someone who’s never truly mean to them and shows them the same amount of love & consideration.

ꕤ virgo sun/rising/venus & lilith in the 2nd house: may feel ugly or uncomfortable wearing heavy makeup. they’re so used to being natural that they feel as if they look too different wearing lots of makeup or even a little. could feel as though it emphasizes their features in a way that they don’t like because it comes off too strong. they’re just used to & prefer that natural look, but they may prefer light/subtle makeup, like that “no makeup” makeup look.

ꕤ if you feel like you don’t relate to certain placements in your natal chart, check the persona chart of that planet and look for that same planet within that persona chart. you may find that you can relate to it a bit more or it can reveal something else about that part of you/your life, maybe help you connect the dots.

for example, if you feel like your venus placement in your natal chart doesn’t really apply to you, check your venus placement in your venus persona chart. or if it’s your moon then look for the placement of the moon in your moon persona chart.

ꕤ the placement of sagittarius in your chart can show you where you might be afraid to commit:

in the 4th house - could be afraid to start a family of your own because of how much your children/family would depend on you and because of how much you’d be responsible for another person.

in the 7th house - could be afraid to commit to long term relationships that may lead to marriage because you view it as something spiritually and/or legally binding (to an extent), and the idea of that sounds restrictive or "too permanent" & daunting, even if you're in love, so you may self-sabotage. your lack of commitment here might also be because you don't feel comfortable trusting others/being vulnerable. plus, sag is an honest sign that cares about integrity so if they make a vow they won't want to dishonor it. but then there's the possibilty/fear of being trapped in a miserable or lifeless marriage, or being unable to leave without conflict or upsetting consequences.

in the 6th house - could run from your daily responsibilities/routine if it lacks variety. can be afraid to commit to jobs that may have the potential to become mundane & monotonous, jobs that don't have many opportunities or room for growth and advancement.

ꕤ saturn in the 9th house: may not enjoy going to church, if you we’re born into a religious family this could have been an issue for you, perhaps you have a religious father that is strict and religion may have been a persistent theme that brought about conflict.

ꕤ aries moon: when they’re pissed off you’ll know because they’ll express it verbally and/or physically (this doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll put their hands on you). out of all the different emotions, they probably feel anger the strongest. they’re not the type to hide their emotions like capricorn moons and that’s probably because they usually can’t no matter how much they want to or try to.

they are direct & unafraid of confrontation, but if they tell you that you hurt them then they care about you because that’s not something they’ll easily and openly admit. they’re loyal so they take it to heart when someone they love/trust wrongs them. if that person doesn’t have a good reason then they’re most likely cut off because aries now sees them as disloyal & untrustworthy.

aries likes to be in control, but with the moon here they can struggle to have control over their emotions because they feel things so forecully, not being in control only makes them more irritated, and they can be quite irritable.

ꕤ sun in the 7th house (synastry): it can create such a strong bond that it feels like they are your soulmate. it could be hard to separate from each other because it feels like you guys are meant to be. they’re someone you want to share your life with. life is better with them. things can feel gloomy when there are problems between you two or when they’re not around & so this can also be a clingy placement. but that’s probably because they make you feel warm, safe, and overall they’re just one of your favorite people.

ꕤ leo mercury / leo in the 3rd house: they’re quite descriptive & they incorporate lots of figurative language in their everyday speech whether it be personification, exaggeration, or similes/metaphors. with that being said they can be funny and make good story tellers. they draw people in with the way they speak and keep them interested. could be good at voice acting and imitating the voice of another such as singers or actors. these individuals have some bright ideas & they could probably write great books too.

ꕤ lilith in the 6th house: i’ve mentioned that taurus in the 6th house can have messy traits but lilith in the 6th house takes the cake imo. like they can be straight up dirty, sorry not sorry. the types to not clean up after themselves. they’re not afraid to get their hands dirty and i mean that literally. like no gloves needed ever lol & then they’ll “clean” their hands by running it under water for 2 seconds. also the types to not follow the rules or the steps of doing something. they do things their way or in a way that’s uncommon/different but they can also remain calm and focused in chaotic & unorganized environments.

ꕤ sun in the 4th: these people would make really good house wives or stay at home moms. they’re just good at being domestic and naturally good at running a household. they’re the glue to the family. i know the 4th house isn’t related to marriage/romantic relationships but to me, women with this placement exude the traits of the perfect/noble wife described in Proverbs 31:10-31.

or if a guy has a capricorn sun here for example, he may be an absolute family man. someone reliable and a true provider who is dedicated, involved, and loyal to his family.

overall these people can be very family-oriented.

ꕤ chiron in the 5th house: you have a bold/bright personality that makes you stand out. when you’re expressing yourself or simply being yourself, you might get negative reactions and unkind comments from others which causes you to shrink back and hide that awesome personality of yours. you feel insecure about being yourself & so you may also have self-esteem issues. but that confidence is definitely within you, it's innate.

those reactions/comments probably come from people who are unhappy, not comfortable with themselves, or they're jealous & they wish could get the attention that you receive without trying. but that’s not your fault so keep being you baby!

these natives could also be the type to come off as quiet/shy but they aren’t. they’re actually fun, creative, talented, and a joy to be around, but they struggle to see that for themselves.

ꕤ gemini or pisces rising / in the 1st house - especially if you also have a gemini/pisces moon or your chart ruler (mercury/neptune) is in the 5th house of fun, games/toys, & creativity:

i feel like these natives had lots of dolls, toys, and/or stuffed animals growing up. they probably always had at least one throughout their life and they still do even if they’re now older, mature, or no longer play with them because gem and pisces both have this playful, fun, & childlike energy.

the rising & 1st house is heavily focused on how you project/express yourself and who you are, both your inner & outer self. so regardless of age or maturity, these traits typically remain present in gem/pisces because it’s just a big part of their identity. & the moon is how we experience, process, and express our emotions. so for some, it becomes less of a toy and more of a sentimental item, something they’re emotionally attached to.

with gemini & pisces, it’s like they are here but they’re not lol they’re physically present but mentally elsewhere in some other world of their own. they’re the types to entertain themselves in their minds.

gem is ruled by mercury so they’re always in their head talking to themselves, thinking of anything & everything whether it be funny, brilliant, bizarre, or ingenious. they get lost in their thoughts. but we do the same with toys, we talk to them as if they were real or could respond, we create these conversations and social interactions, we give them a voice, “making” them say the most silly, funny, and crazy things.

pisces is ruled by neptune and so they’re creative and always in their head day dreaming of different scenarios, people/characters, and possibilities. they get lost in their imagination. and with toys, we become both actors & directors, assigning different roles/characters to different dolls and stuffed animals, but also to ourselves. we set the scene, dress them up, do their makeup, and “make” them act out whatever we imagine.

& when you think about dolls/toys/stuffed animals and the way that they’re typically played with, you think of personification or a sense of bringing to life/animation, imagination, children, entertainment, pretending, creativity, etc. plus, the whole concept is kind of bizarre if you think about it lol

this made me look up barbie’s chart because she’s one of the most popular dolls/toys and it’s so funny how she’s a gemini rising & pisces sun/moon.

A funny little Bowuigi idea :

Luigi never goe on adventures with Mario (shhhh let's pretend it's true here).

He hears about it and all but whenever Bowser's here kidnapping Peach he's busy elsewhere, or is sick, or is engrossed in a game to thr point of missing out on the huge dragon turtle battle right outside his window.

So when one day Luigi takes a stroll in the forest and Bowser lands right in front of him after a thorough kicking-from-the-flying-fortress-by-Mario, Luigi's reaction isn't "oh no, Bowser !!"

But "oh no, someone's hurt, I gotta help-a them!"

Bowser wakes up in a cozy little green bed (Luigi is STRONG y'all don't realize, he can carry a big turtle boi) with a guy who looks very strongly like Mario bringing him food and asking him kindly how he's doing.

Usually Bowser's reaction would be :

Roar in anger

Send everything flying

Burn everything that reminds him of Mario

Stomp his way back home

Sulk

But as soon as he starts roaring, Luigi shrieks and shoves the entire plate of food in Bowser's mouth on reflex, which shuts Bowser up long enough to listen to the Green Mario babbling about what happened and he's so sorry he startled him (Bowser scoffs) and you shouldnt move right now your shell is cracked and do you have any family I could contact so they don't worry ?

And Bowser realizes.

This little guy. This "Luigi" guy." Who seems to be Mario's biggest fan given how he dresses and gushes about him.

Doesn't.

Know.

Bowser.

...

Well, there's free food, his shell IS cracked and he doesn't want to deal with Kamek's nagging and everyone's pity after another failed plan back home.

Plus, once he's bored of the pampering, revealing the truth will be one hell of a mean prank to play on that guy.

So he gets comfortable and braces himself for some holidays being spoiled by a Mario look-alike.

...except he's cuter. Just a bit.

Bonus 1 : Mario doesn't come home right away because he's spending his victory vacation with Peach, and when he swings by, through a peerfect comedy of errors, he doesn't see "Luigi's guest" well or long enough to recognize

Bonus 2 : someone who DOES know Bowser (like Toad) visits Luigi to catch up on news, and the whole time they're sweating bullets while sipping their tea as Bowser is giving them the nastiest "go on, tell him, I DARE you" smirk.

Bonus 3 : Bowser didn't connect the dots about Mario and Luigi's relationship because he doesn't want to assume every guy with a moustache is related. Look at Wario and Waluigi ! Most of his own kids are adopted, after all!

listen what i'm saying is, I know the perv trope thing with Sanji is annoying and overplayed. i know it is. i know that some of it is Oda's humor and some of it is like. shit that anime always seems to find one character to shunt onto, and I don't like it and nobody likes it but like

pretending that's the only character trait that he has, or refusing to connect the dots through what appears to both be some vestige of the Vinsmoke programming (since ALL of his brothers have the exact same kind of nosebleed awooga behavior despite their lack of other meaningful human emotions), and a strict adherence to anything Zeff taught him (bc children do not process trauma and traumatic events the way adults do, and at that point Zeff was not only his first and ONLY example of paternal love, but the only hand capable of reaching in and stopping the knife he'd been twisting in his own guts), isn't just stupid, it's a deeply shallow and backwards take of an incredibly complex character.

yes, Sanji is flawed. they're all flawed. that's half the point of the story, that people are more than the sum of their parts, or the circumstances of their birth, or their pain.

Sanji's journey in this story so far is one of broken shackles, of healing, of finding comfort in himself and trust in his found family despite how deep the roots of self-loathing and fear run in him. in that way, of course he took Zeff's perspective to heart. Zeff who cut a piece of himself off and chose Sanji's life over his own well-being again and again, when Sanji's birth father abandoned him to torment and death. Zeff, who thought he was wonderful, and kind, and intelligent, and nurtured his potential, and taught him how to make sure nobody could ever hurt him again, when his birth father discarded him as damaged goods. Zeff, who is proud, in his own way, to know what his son is up to, and for people to know that's his boy, when his birth father's only direct words to him were to make sure to never bring him the shame of letting anyone know they were related.

(and that's the wild part, one of the things that really breaks me about Sanji sometimes, is that he kept that promise, too. If WCI hadn't happened he might never have told anyone at all.)

Zeff saved Sanji in every way a hurt little boy could possibly be saved, and so when he said "You never hit a woman, that's wisdom from when the dinosaurs walked the earth." and "Beat any man's ass you want, but if I ever catch you raising a hand to a woman I'll cut your dick off and then myself too for teaching you that." like???

He's not being a misogynist, he doesn't refuse to fight women because he thinks they're weak and frail and the fairer sex that needs to be protected at all costs by big strong men, he respects Nami and Robin and Vivi and refuses to give up on his friends and even forgives Viola despite her almost killing him and agrees to help her, like?? he internalized everything Zeff ever told him, not just how to make risotto really well or how to pair wine to cheeses and desserts.

does Oda sometimes play that up for laughs, or run it to extremes? yeah, absolutely. I actively like to pretend Fishman Island was 10 episodes of political backstory and Jinbei. But those moments of hyperbole aren't the fucking point of his character, or his development, and to pretend like they are removes Sanji--and an incredibly poignant story about abuse, recovery, self-love, and the acceptance and importance of found family--from the story.

Honestly, I hope Ruben is related to Professor hopclap by being his Nephew/son/cousin or whatever. Because the idea of the Rat grinders building up thoughts that the bad kids have unfair advantages when all the advantages the bad kids have mirror the Rat grinders would be so juicy. Kipperlily being a rich kid matches up with Fabian already. It would make their arguments petty and superficial, which completely tracks for teenagers.

Teenagers get emotional and reactive. This isn't me saying that teenagers are terrible people and that they're wrong for their feelings, but more so that teenagers tend to be incredibly hormonal and impulsive, which high school doesn't help. Their jealousy makes it so that all of their arguments about how unfair it is that the bad kids get preferential treatment far outweighs the sensible thought that the bad kids are just as privileged (maybe even slightly less so depending on how supportive the parents are) as the right grinders.

Sometimes, hatred you have for people doesn't make complete sense. The bad kids largely are very welcoming and friendly. Some of them can be knuckleheads, but for the most part what they do is always to help others. They're the cool kids in school even if we as the viewers don't always notice it because we see them for the dorks they are. In freshmen year they got arrested for murder charges, broke out of prison after a few months, and saved the day from the vice principal who they'd been actively investigating for months.

In sophomore year both during spring break and summer they save the world 2 more times when their spring break quest unfolded into something bigger.

They're legends at Aguefort and that means all of their classmates probably get incredibly overshadowed.

They see the accomplishments without the sacrifices. They don't think about Kristen dying in the nightmare forest and having to revive herself because no one else could or how tough it's been for her becoming disillusioned with her faith that told her she deserved to burn for who she was. She's the lesbian cleric who broke away from her faith, started 2 religions, weight lifts now, and is chill enough to run for president and jump into a pool of sauce on the back if a flaming motorcycle.

They don't think about Fig finding out she was a child of an affair leading to her father saying she was unwanted and her having to find who she was, something she's still doing. They see fig as the Rockstar revolutionary girl who befriends the outcasts, is the arch devil of fhe bottomless pit, daughter of Gorthalax, and person willing to smoke at any opportunity regardless of whether she'd get in trouble for it.

Fabian isn't a guy unlearning his ingrained toxic masculinity after killing his dad and being raised to believe money, intimidation, and brute strength were how you get through life. They see the captain of the football team who hosts parties at his massive mansion, rides a demonic motorcycle, has a mom dating the vice principal, and is a world class dancer.

Riz had to work through the death of his father at a young age, constant ridicule from peers who didn't want him, and a desperation to do whatever it takes to be wanted that he still hasn't gotten over. But most people see a classmate who has everything figured out and the ability to connect the dots at all times. Plus a nickname from the football team that's said with love.

Adaine with her social anxiety she's now medicated for, parents who never loved her, an older sister she's only barely starting to bond with, and a barely passing grade in her class because she has no money to make ends meet. But she's also the elven oracle, cool party wizard who summons mephits to chill drinks, magically gifted in truly amazing ways, and will always remember your name after speaking to you.

Gorgug who was lovingly raised but always felt disconnected due to his parents not being able to understand him, who had to push against porter for 2.5 years before finally getting a chance to be taught by someone who didn't talk down to him, trying his best but failing so often. But to most he's a football player, rock star, hyper intelligent mechanic, rebellious teen, and now dude who oinked at a fed.

We all as viewers are aware of their flaws and their awesome moments, but the school at large only knows their moments that gained them more attention. Of course the Rat grinders would become jealous and angry when things seem so much easier for them. Of course they'd perceive any instances of the bad kids being friendly as them looking down on others because obviously they're too popular to be genuine. But if the rat grinders can prove the bad kids are the horrible people they think they are and stop them from succeeding, then it just puts things right doesn't it?

Since I just rewatched 4x14 "Sex and Violence" let me revisit a few things. I really really like this ep, it's darkly psychological and it's a great ep on Sam and Dean's relationship, as well as having bi Dean subtext.

The first victim murders his wife

The second victim murders his mother

The third victim, Dean, the siren tries to goad into killing his brother

So the siren manipulates some people into harming a romantic partner, or manipulates them into harming a family member, a platonic bond. The siren gets off on the violence, the power, of driving someone to that extreme.

Sam and Dean are on different paths this season. Dean misses his brother and he's lonely. They're drifting apart, mistrust is growing between the brothers. The siren takes a male form, FBI agent Nick, to entice Dean. To give him someone who is like-a-brother. But Nick isn't like Sam. Nick is a lot like Dean. He's excited about the Impala, he's knowledgeable on classic rock, he laughs at Dean's jokes. Nick is the siren purposefully honing in on the loneliness in Dean, but in so doing, creates someone who is sort of like a brother but isn't Dean's brother. They aren't brothers. What the siren is playing upon is Dean's wish for a companion who understands him, who he can connect with, and it doesn't have to be his brother.

"I gave him what he wanted and it wasn't some b*tch in a g-string, it was you" is the text. Textually, Nick is using Dean's loneliness due to his slowly growing estrangement from Sam, and giving him a substitute for that.

Nick, along with being a companion, is a potential romantic and sexual partner, which a brother wouldn't be. Those scenes with Nick and Dean in the car...for one thing the siren innately operates in a seductive way and that actor really seems to be leaning into that, and Dean is...Deaning the way he sometimes does with men he's not related to. The way they're looking at each other in the car scene. This is the subtext.

And it's so weird to me that people get attacked or mocked or have had hate threads made about them on twitter dot com just for analyzing all this (I've been trolled for it, other bi Dean fans could probably tell similar horror stories). Even recently, I know it's still been going on -- a few weeks back, some bitter Sam stan tried to claim that if you let in the subtext on bi Dean, that must mean that you are validating w*ncest and that's just not how this works.

In fact it can be both about the platonic sibling bond, and bi Dean subtext (with Dean/Nick as the unspoken potential). The episode is mainly, and most overtly, about the brothers and their strained bond and how the siren preys on that. And I have a lot of feelings about Sam and Dean in this episode. It hurts. It's poignant. That is a platonic bond on the series and one that I really love. At the same time, the bi Dean subtext, the dynamic he has with Nick, the actual seduction siren Nick is playing on Dean, can co-exist with the brothers and their sibling bond troubles. Sam is not a potential romantic or sexual partner for Dean. Nick is. And yes that can be a layer, it's called subtext, while it is ostensibly about Nick filling that loneliness in Dean because Sam and Dean are drifting apart.

We also need to put this in context of the season. This ep isn't about Dean and Cas, but it is in S4 and falls at a time when Dean is drawn to a male companion--an angel, who is not related to him. Who gets him in ways nobody else Dean knows does. An unexpected kindred spirit where Dean never expected to find that. Cas isn't like Nick, Cas is weird, and he doesn't know pop culture and he doesn't know music and he doesn't care about classic cars like Nick does. Nick is an illusion, a seduction, the siren creates The Perfect Person for Dean to get close to. Cas, otoh, is the real deal. He's authentic. The connection between them isn't a seduction, it's Cas being Cas, Dean being Dean, and Cas goes against his orders from Heaven due to his growing attachment to Dean. Cas is making Dean feel a whole lot less lonely in S4 where Dean and Sam are drifting apart and Sam is wading into dangerous waters and isn't listening to Dean. So Sex and Violence isn't about Destiel, but Sex and Violence, Dean and Nick, exist not only in the context of Sam and Dean's relationship, but what's forming between Dean and Cas as well (even if Sam and Dean are obviously most directly relevant as the context).

Scrubbing all that out, and trolling and mocking anyone for unpacking it and making their case for the bi Dean subtext is really weird and it's anti-art and it's anti-interpretation. There's nothing wrong with saying "huh, that's an interesting take, hadn't thought of that. Not sure I see it, but carry on *shrug*" and move on.

Instead, for years, there are stans who attacked subtext and attack analysis of subtext, who laugh at it and call people insane, and are still doing it recently.

This analysis of Sex and Violence is old news, but I hope my revisiting maybe adds something to the discussion of this ep. bi Dean discussion is still going on to this day about it and so is the trolling, and I refuse to be silenced on perfectly reasonable subtextual analysis because some people feel a need to throw immature tantrums. It's utterly unhinged, in a bad way, that some people have been so aggressive about actively trying to silence discussion of bi Dean in Sex and Violence.

"here's one for you," jude spoke from his position on the hotel suite couch to gain your attention as you unpacked your things. "bro went from liking her posts to flying her over just for some moral support."

you rolled your eyes as he read out the tweets which he had been enjoying for the past ten minutes now. the way that twitter was rioting over the situation was utterly amusing— from your post on Instagram to jude stating that you were sharing a hotel room. they were having a blast by coming up with theories as to how this even came about.

yes, jude only happened to follow you on instragram at the beginning of the year but that was not the reason you knew each other at all. if it were then this situation would be very awkward. as he would say, "luckily for you, you had the privilege of knowing me before I became the equivalent to ryan gosling."

you wouldn't exactly call it a privilege but whatever made him sleep at night. funny enough, you two met at a football match when you were still in high school. it was strange to see a 17-year-old actively engage in conversation with some random 14-year-old just because he said she was screaming too much.

that wasn't the last of your accidental meetings, however, the next was a few weeks later when your parents invited some friends over from birmingham— and lo and behold who just happened to be the son of those friends.

so here you were at 20 and 23, closer than ever but keeping it as low-key as possible.

you proceeded to listen to jude comment on each tweet, each one funnier than the last. "I swear some of these people have got to be fbi trained." he shook his head and you hummed in response, nearly jumping up when jude yelled out in shock.

"listen to this one," he turned from his position on the couch to look at you in front of the bed. "in early 2023, jude followed jamie back on Instagram and 6 months later she got her job as liverpool's p.r manager. hours later after the announcement the entire squad followed her back, the first of them being trent. jamie and trent have been seen together a lot from then on and she's even tagged him in multiple of her Instagram stories. now what do we know about trent? he plays for england. who else plays for england? jude. where is jamie right now? in barcelona with jude."

you were left dumbfounded, jude staring at you with his eyes wide and obviously impressed. "well that's one way to connect the dots I guess." you shrugged your shoulders, "they're not wrong but they're not quite right either."

a scoff left jude's mouth and he got up from the couch to look out the ceiling-to-floor window looking out at the city. "trent's not the middleman here though. like dude you and I aren't dating so there's no need."

he was right, there was no need for a middleman. it was just pure coincidence but obviously people wouldn't think of it like that. "and I thank the lord for that every single day."

he pulled a face, "stop being dramatic. I'm not that bad and you know it."

you hummed out in debate, getting your things so you could go and shower. "I mean judging by your lack of female interaction--"

before you could finish a pillow was hurled straight at you causing you to yelp out, getting ready to days for the bathroom before he could throw another.

"I talk to woman!" he yelled out after you and you laughed a little louder than intended which prompted him to get another pillow.

"female reporters don't count jude!"

you slammed the bathroom door shut just as he threw the pillow again, a loud thud echoing through the room before it dropped to the floor along with jude's hands. he huffed out in frustration, complaining for a good few minutes before he came to a conclusion that made you double over in laughter.

"just for that, I'll be keeping my eye out for interns from now on! if I marry a reporter one day I'll make sure not to invite you just out spite!"

your first morning in barcelona consisted of nothing but peace. the view you woke up to was breathtaking, definitely the most beautiful sunrise you had ever seen. you took your time getting ready before breakfast and made sure to put together the best outfit you could manage seeing as it was rare that you got to wear summer attire.

jude shot you the most confused look to date when he saw your top. he hit you with the "woman stopped wearing corsets decades ago so I'm a bit confused as to why you're torturing yourself right now."

it took a bit to explain to him that you weren't suffering at all, but he still didn't understand and left it at that so the two of you could head to a restaurant for breakfast. every step you took your eye was caught by something more beautiful than the last, your heart strings tugging in the summer heat.

"I've made up my mind. I'm coming to visit you every three months."

jude didn't oppose the idea and instead encouraged it, saying that he needed a bit more company. everything was recorded, you had your phone out and your camera for double the footage, talking to the camera as you carried on with your day.

"do you really have to film everything?" jude asked from across your table at the outdoor seating area of the restaurant as you waited for your breakfast.

you made a sound at the back of your throat and continued to go through the footage you had so far. "unlike you, I have a social media presence and people enjoy the content that I put out okay?"

"uh huh." his eyes wandered over you silently until he was told to check your instagram story, and of course he reposted it being the absolutely amazing friend he was and not because he was in any way forced to do it...

spamjam._. added to their story!

"I don't think anyone understands how crazy it is to hear jude speak in spanish so casually." you turned your camera to look at jude opposite you, adorning an expression of offence.

you suppressed a smile. "this is the same boy who asked me if 'lethargic' was an actual word or if I made it up by the way."

that hit a nerve for him and he put down his fork, and pointed a finger at you while explaining the pointlessness of the word and just how stupid it was. "who uses the word lethargic jamie?" he raised his hands waiting for an answer.

your laugh could be heard behind the camera, obvious judgement in your tone as you teased him. "people who have a vocabulary level that exceeds year 6."

jude shot you an 'oh really look' clearly not buying your reasoning. "just say that you're tired," he grew a bit more defensive and you tried to speak over him but he continued on. "it's never that deep."

you laughed again, telling him that he literally just proved your point. you could feel the stares that you were getting from people passing by— just trying to enjoy their peaceful thursday morning without two idiots arguing about words.

the banter went on for a bit, the camera now set on the edge of the table so that both you and jude were in the frame, tension heightened as you debated. he shrugged his shoulders eventually, "lethargic is not that big of a word either. it's just unnecessary--"

your eyebrows raised, "--oh really?"

he nodded in confirmation, as to say that it was obvious and that he wasn't an idiot. so you did the only correct thing at the moment which brought a wave of nostalgia to wash over jude who couldn't help but laugh.

"spell lethargic then."

he hesitated for a moment, wondering if you were being serious. "go on then, prove me wrong." you urged him, and obviously, he took up the challenge because jude bellingham was not a quitter.

"L I--"

you cut him off with a proud smile, "wrong!"

"L A--"

"wrong!"

by now jude was dumbfounded, immediately reaching out for his cellphone to google the absurd word only to find out that it was spelt with an E. you hummed happily as he complained once again, saying that spelling it with an E didn't make any sense.

"jude victor william bellingham," you began with a smile and he shook his head. "one of real madrid and england's star players at the age of 20 yet he can't spell 'lethargic'."

the rest of the day played out smoothly— sightseeing, shopping till jude's entire backseat was covered in bags, a trip to the beach and using jude as your personal photographer and videographer. now that was what you called a vacation.

the last stop the two of you were going to make would be a small picnic to wrap up the evening seeing as jude would be at practice all-day tomorrow before the match later that evening. either way you wouldn't be alone because jobe would be flying down the morning, so you were more than excited to pick him up at the airport.

your picnic blanket was set down on the grass at a park, and once again the scenery had you gawking. the sunset was to die for, the atmosphere was chirpy yet peaceful and in all honesty if this was your last moment alive you wouldn't have any regrets.

you let out a content sigh, "if this is what being a wag is like then I might have to hit up victoria beckham for some pointers."

jude let out a laugh from beside you, watching silently as you pointed your vlog camera to the sky— moving it from side to side as you took in the scenery.

"I mean you have some good candidates, and you're already in the industry so it's just up to you." he nudged you on the shoulder. "make the move jamie."

a sigh escaped your lips at the fact that he was right. everything was played out in your favour and you needed to use it to your advantage. "I'll dm colwill when we get back to the hotel."

jude doubled over in laughter at your comment but you kept your attention on your camera, settling it down in front of the both of you. "he's younger than you."

you shrugged your shoulders to dismiss his note. "age is just a number or something."

that made you both smile but for two completely different reasons. jude found it funny whereas you were washed with an unfamiliar feeling, your mind flashing back to yours and trent's midnight mcdonald's run when he said the exact same thing.

that remembrance made you keep a mental note to call him later, just to see how things were holding up on that side.

the conversation picked up again when you shut off your camera. and of course, it took the emotional route at the hour of vulnerability. it hopped from family to work to comfortability in your respective situations in a matter of seconds.

it was nice for jude to have this time to talk about stuff like this, you knew he appreciated moments like this where he could express himself more freely without a language barrier or slight anxiety.

when he first left for madrid you remembered the five-hour conversation you had over the phone because he couldn't fall asleep, too unsure and unfamiliar with his surroundings to be able to settle in. with that, you made sure to check up on him daily before bed.

time zones didn't stop you and never would, especially with someone you considered family. jude and jobe were easily younger brothers to you— jude being the irritating younger brother who acted as if he were older than you and jobe being the sweet younger brother that needed constant affection.

you cared for them both dearly, making time to see each other whenever you could when you schedules were free.

"so you found the apartment?" jude asked and popped a grape into his mouth while he listened to you talk about your move out of your sister's house.

maya and noah were moving to london at the beginning of next year, which just so happened to be two months from now. which honestly was a great idea and you were super excited for them, but it was the househunting the was an issue for you because you were so picky.

you weren't too worried about the rent, the main issue was the interior so you took it upon yourself to do some drastic redecorating when you found one. and in four months it was ready, the only thing it was missing was you.

you nodded happily, "I can move in whenever I'm ready."

your answer made jude smile. be knew just how excited you were to finally move into a place of your own because all you'd been doing was saving up. "which is..."

"which is before christmas. and I have a little surprise on the way as well," you retorted in excitement but jude's thoughts immediately went to pregnancy and you could see it on his face, judging by how quickly his eyes dropped to your stomache.

the sun had fully set now, the air beginning to chill but not in a way that had you shivering, but in a way that made you feel relieved. basking in the atmosphere took your mind elsewhere, a glimmer of something in the back of your mind flashing.

your stomach dropped at the memory. one of the many that you've recently.

"we have to go to spain." the glee in your voice bounced off the walls of the bedroom, back to the bed where you and your boyfriend were lying.

he chuckled at your antics and the way that your grip tightened on his torso, his fingers lightly tracing your shoulder. "we'll go anywhere you like baby." he kissed the top of your head.

you looked up at him with doe eyes. "really?"

michael flashed an adoring smile, the same one that showed just how smitten he was for you. you felt a chill run down your spine at the touch of his fingers on your cheeks. "I'd do anything for you."

your throat stung at the memory, something that weighed so heavily on your chest. moments where you two promised to build a family together resurfaced, where you promised to always be there for each other, but this time accompanied by a bitter taste.

you'd accomplished so much these past few months and he wasn't there to witness it like he said he would. there weren't any flowers or handwritten cards with a hug that made you melt. you could still hear his voice sometimes and the way he would speak to you so gently.

at your graduation you could barely enjoy the moment because while being onstage you saw his face in the crowd, an unreadable expression and the words "I'm so proud of you, love" floating aimlessly through the air.

everything he ever said to you was now floating aimlessly through the air.

"there's my favourite boy!"

you had your arms spread for a hug as you watched jobe walk up to you with a sheepish smile. you could tell that he was a slight bit embarrassed, but gave in anyway and dropped his bags to embrace you.

he had grown a freakishly large amount since the last time you saw him— towering over you would be an understatement and it took every bit of you not to feel overwhelmed, but how could you when he was so freaken cute??

a shy chuckle came from jobe as you continued to hug him, your arms tightly wrapped around in torso. "you can carry on when we get back to the hotel, people have places to be."

that wasn't good enough of an excuse for you. "they can let me have my moment."

when you got back to the hotel, jude wasn't there as suspected but all your bags were already packed for tomorrow morning's early flight back to madrid. the rest of the day was spent just relaxing in the hotel room and catching up as usual because you didn't want to waste your energy and fall asleep half way into the first half of the match.

"I can't believe I'm about to watch barça and madrid play," jobe commented as he scrolled through his twitter feed.

you two were settled comfortably on the couch set with snacks and the t.v playing as background noise. when you didn't reply he looked up from his phone, only to see you glued to your own with a lopsided smile.

it was unlike you to ignore him, even if it were by accident so it raised some suspicion. he kicked your thigh in an attempt to gain your attention but it didn't work, your fingers typing away at the keyboard for whatever reason. he didn't want to be one of those brothers and take your phone right out of hand and see what had you so interested— that was jude's job.

so instead he resorted to kicking you over and over until you eventually got irritated and yelped out in pain. "jobe my leg," you groaned and began to rub your thigh that he'd been taking hits at.

when you looked at him again his expression had changed, his lips slightly parted in shock. you asked him what the issue was and all he could manage was a scoff of disbelief. there'd only been one other instance where he'd seen you act like this before, and he tried to forget it at most.

"who are you talking to?"

jobe wasn't one to pry and you knew that, and when he did it was out of genuine concern. you cleared your throat awkwardly. "just a friend."

his eyes narrowed at your answer, knowing he caught you. "you don't have friends." in no way did he mean to offend you by saying that, because it was true and as clear as day. he knew you too well, maybe you could hide things from jude for a bit but with jobe it was different because everything came out unintentionally.

a sigh of defeat escaped your mouth and you set your phone down on your lap. "this is a situation my friend is in right now. you're not going to ask any questions okay?"

jobe nodded his head eagerly and sat upright so he could pay more attention. and just like that, you found yourself lost in the explanation and you were sure you nearly namedropped at least thrice but jobe remained attentive and gave his word when needed.

"I mean if they aren't dating then there should be nothing wrong with you--"

you gave jobe a look and he immediately retracted his last word.

"your friend. your friend, not you," he corrected sheepishly and you nodded.

he thought the idea was dumb. you could've just said that you were talking about yourself and he wouldn't have bugged you... that much. "your friend isn't overstepping any boundaries by the sound of it. so she should just go with the flow--"

you couldn't believe that you were taking relationship advice from an 18-year-old right now. this was your lowest. "--whatever happens, happens."

whatever happens, happens.

his advice genuinely seemed to shift some gears in your mind, and you wanted nothing more than to wrap him up in a bear hug. so that's exactly what you did. "have I ever told you how much I love you?"

the question made him stifle a laugh, the boy tightening his grip around your shoulders as you lay on top of him. "I want to say yes but no."

you slapped his arm jokingly. "you're my favourite brother too. but don't tell jude."

The Remarried Empress; Navier finds an injured male wolf and decides to take care of him as he's actually quite docile around her. She lavishes him with good food and a warm bed. After Rashta comes to the palace, she finds great comfort in him. However, one night (before 'Queen' came around), she finds out it's actually Male!Mage!Reader who transforms into his human form to confess he was worried she'd have him killed if she knew he wasn't really an animal. His magic is related to animal transformation and he can turn into any animal he desires (from a small mouse to a loyal wolf to a predatory tiger to a ferocious dragon).

He tells her he's grown feelings for her but understands if she doesn't feel the same way since she didn't even know he was a human. Maybe she gives him a chance to get to know the real him, maybe she just wants to be friends. Either way, they're close (the Emperor does not yet know the truth about the 'pet' wolf).

He's more than happy to welcome Heinrey into their relationship if they have one or happy that Navier has someone to care for her like she deserves (Maybe he can find happiness with Kosair instead if Navier just wants one partner).

I added Kosair in case you wanted him. I wanted to write for him, so I sprinkled him in for free (as if my requests aren’t free already 😂).

Sovieshu

He was definitely concerned when he heard that his wife had found an injured wolf, but he hated how you always stole her attention. He tried to convince himself that it came from a place of being worried that she wouldn’t be able to carry out her duties as the Empress, but he was jealous.

Your stealing her attention only increased when Rashta was brought into the palace, but Sovieshu found himself gradually caring less and less. After all, his new mistress was now taking more of his time in return. I feel like he would leave you and her alone now.

Will occasionally asks for updates on your health, but otherwise doesn’t show much worry over you. But it was certainly weird when he saw a random man in a sling at the New Year’s Ball. Not just that, but both you and Prince Heinrey asked his wife to dance.

But this man is so stupid that he never connected the 4 dots (you are the wolf and Heinrey is the bird). For all he knew, the bird was just a messenger bird and the wolf was just a wolf. You were just an injured man and the Prince of the Western Kingdom was just trying to get with his wife.

Rashta

She was terrified of you at first, but noticed that your paw was injured and therefore you couldn’t do much. She didn’t really pay too much attention to you, so she definitely wouldn’t have been able to tell that you were really a human, a mage no less.

But, she could see that your presence was causing Sovieshu stress. She could tell that it was because you were stealing Navier’s attention, but the fact that an animal could find a companion in the Empress and she couldn’t was infuriating for the young mistress.

However, she also noticed that you stayed away from her all the time. One time she tried to pet you and you jumped back and growled at her before whimpering at the pain in your paw. Rashta quickly drew her hand back, suddenly terrified.

Like the Emperor, she doesn’t connect the fact that Heinrey is the bird and the wolf is, in fact, a human. The young mistress is too busy making sure that her soon-to-be-husband doesn’t find out that she used to be a lowly slave.

Navier

She saw you in her hiding spot, and her heart shattered upon seeing that your leg was bent the wrong way. She immediately called over some of the servants to bring you to an animal specialist so that you could get proper treatment. The lovely Empress eventually found herself attached to the mysterious wolf.

But, one day, she came to visit you in the guest room and was surprised to see a man in the bed instead of a wolf. However, she could somehow tell that it was you. It could be your rugged handsomeness, or the fact that your irises matched. There must be a type or something because Navier found herself attracted to you.

Then there was the whole ordeal with Heinrey. She honestly thought you might have killed the Crowned Prince for ‘stealing’ her, but you were much more respectful than that. No, you sat down and had a conversation with both her and Heinrey, and you all agreed that you were attracted to each other.

That started the divorce sequence of the story. You were healed enough to be on the lookout, but you weren’t permitted to be in the courtroom. Thus, Navier had requested to be wed to both you and Heinrey. Once she was making her escape, you used your magic to freeze the guards and get yourself out of there once you were sure she was at a safe distance in the carriage.

Heinrey

He honestly didn’t see you as a rival, but he was able to see that you were a fellow shapeshifter of some sort. “It takes one to know one”, as it is said. So it starts a relationship of understanding each other on a personal level.

That got you both devising plans on how to make sure that Sovieshu remains jealous of the attention you both are getting. You both were already very handsome, but when you both asked Navier to dance one right after the other, that sent the Emperor over the edge.

This is a relationship goal if I’ve ever seen it. Sure, a polyamorous relationship might be a big deal, but if done right then it can lead to some great things. You both understand that your Queen loves you both, and you know that you both would give her the worship and praise she deserves.

If I’m being honest, this relationship is so freaking wholesome. As a professional mage, you are an advocate for the Western Kingdom when it comes to the Academy so none of your lovers have to leave. Of course, this is after you all are officially married. You also lead the mages within the Kingdom.

An alternate ending if you so choose

Kosair

Upon meeting, he felt himself entranced. He saw you on his visit to his sister, and you were handsome to a whole different degree (must be the human-werewolf glow). Probably doesn’t connect the dots and realize that you are the wolf he sees around the palace.

Either way, be you human or wolf, you find yourself by his side. He believes your story about the wolf being your companion and you both being attacked by bandits on the road. When you do reveal the truth, he isn’t hurt at all. He understands actually, because mages are losing their magic and you might be scared.

When he gets exiled from the Eastern Empire, you’re whimpering and whining at the thought of possibly never seeing him again. You were in a hybrid form, with wolf ears and a tail, so Kosair rubbed that one spot behind your ear that instantly made you relax a bit more.

He told you that his future brother-in-law had invited him to seek refuge within the Western Kingdom, and that you should join him once you can. You both embraced each other in a kiss, and departed with one last look. It would be a while until you were united with him once again.

Heyllo guys! Back after longgg time with astrology observations. So there y'all go.

#5 ASTRO OBSERVATIONS

Aries moons are my people. They're just so true to themselves and others and if there had to be a 'true honest' placement to exist, it is aries moon. They can see the truth and they always stand for it no matter what. Very strong opinions and their brutality shows once they think you're doing something wrong. They are like so trustworthy at a point when you would realize they're the only people who you can "always" count on. Both my mom and dad have this placement so i know very well.

Virgo moons are sometimes fake. They do know what they're doing tho and yes they do worry alot but you can't always count on them coz they have a jealous nature somewhere and it's rare you find a true friend in them. They are absolutely hardworking but sometimes they do show off by lying to some extent. I'm sorry but i really do love you guys for your great intellect.

Gemini moons are so manipulative. Omg these people act so innocent but they be knowing everything about you and what you really are and so clever they will manipulate. This placement not always stands up for the truth and they infact are the biggest criminals if they tolerate injustice as marked by subash chandra bose. When it comes to trust, I don't trust you guys. I live and let live :)

Aquarius moons are also somewhat like gemini moons but they are so scattered in their personalities which makes them less likely to be manipulative. They are good people man. Better than gemini moons atleast hahah.

Aquarius sun. So recently a few months back I finally met someone like me, an aquarius man. I didn't have any aquarius friends and I didn't really know if all this stereotypes were actually true. They are true. But to some extent. He's an aqua sun wid an aries moon. And yes he's so exciting, humorous, energetic and so truthful and trustworthy omg. We met in such an unusual way and we shared many things in common. Moreover our bdays are in the same week! 7th feb and 9th feb. So yeah, I'd just say one thing that Aquarius and Aquarius compatibility works. Infact very well. This is a real life experience and we're in love wid each other rn.

I have a soft spot for all the Taurus suns out there. I'm a taurus moon and the level of comfort vibes we get from each other is soo goood. My two brothers are Taurus suns but different moon sign. And that doesn't matter much actually coz I observed something similar between them. They are my cousins so I get to meet them twice a year on occasions and we share alot of hugs and cuddles whenever we are together. I don't have sibling so when I'm with them, there's an urge inside of me to kind of have that brother-sister love. And this isn't just about my brothers. I've some guy friends who are taurus and they all make me feel so comfortable and good. They're trustworthy af.

And now if I talk about taurus sun women, I mean older women, like my english teacher, she is so open minded I love it. Generally taurus suns are stereotyped as narrow minded but irl I've never met a taurus sun who is not open minded. They are very accepting of new ideas and innovation. Ah and one similarity I noticed that these open minded taurus suns who I've met and connected with have air moons.

Capricorn men are gentlemen. I mean it. I've a great friend who has a cap sun wid scorpio moon and he is so generous and truthful. But ofc, there is some hidden depth inside of him which he doesn't let anyone knows about. But we're greaaat friends and he makes me feel at home.

Virgos are so against astrology I mean they hear something about this and they're like 'ah that's all bullshit'. Especially virgo suns. My dad doesn't get all this. And even some friends who think it's just a made up story.

Aquariuses are very open to astrology I've seen this alot. We don't believe this is all true. We simply try to connect the dots. We observe and we don't force ourselves to relate. Astrology observations are just observations. It's a simple thing. I don't believe in astrology. I just observe and if it connects in some way or even if it contradicts it, I write it down here. Nonetheless, these are real life observations.

I've seen scorpios find capricorns intimidating and vice versa? Provided they have the same moon sign element.

Gemini suns are awesome. I recently went on a trek and this guy was so friendly and great to talk to. We made friends wid him and omg the bond we created in just a one day trek! Gemini stereotypes as far as I've observed are freakin true.

I know I don't write much about leo, libra, sag and pisces placements and that's because I don't have much people havin those placements. But since I added this as a point, it has a reason. I've observed pisces placements are shy when you're talkin for the first time. Libras are not that trustworthy, I just don't engage much wid them. I don't have many leos in my life coz after once that I've engaged wid them, that's it. They mind their own business so well. And sag is just sag. Carefree and crazy. Love y'all.

Aries suns are so immature at times but if you give them a little sympathy and make them understand just like a child, they will understand. I did this wid one of my aries friend and she's so cute she cried when she lost in go-karting.

So I noticed this thing twice. A man dates a woman who has the same sun sign as his rising sign, fell in love and are in a serious relationship rn. He's a libra rising wid gemini sun and moom and dates a libra sun women. The same thing happened wid me hahah. He's an aquarius rising and sun and I'm an aquarius sun. This synastry works I guess.

Meet Helen: A state alchemist that was stationed at Briggs.

Helen (no, she doesn‘t have a surname yet, I‘m procrastinating) was a lively woman with a lot of energy, a lot of humor and a big heart. She got her state alchemy license because of her basic alchemy skills, but she does research on a very new alchemy field, which doesn‘t really get recognized by the military tho. Because of that, she was sent to Briggs.

Being a major, she naturally started working with Jung a lot, and they easily got along. Helen was quickly drawn by Matthias‘ determination and charisma. Meanwhile, Matthias was fascinated by Helen's skills and wit. Very quickly and without any of them planning to, they got closer and fell in love.

For a year or two they had a secret relationship without anyone at the Fort knowing. They even shared vows, but of course their marriage isn‘t official and rather just a promise to each others. All of this took place when Jung was in his mid twenties and thus happened years before Casther and Val came to Briggs. In the end, they will never meet her.

Helen's and Matthias relationship came to a quick end when a mission they both attended went wrong. The details aren't clear for myself yet, but Helen gets captured by Drachmans and will never be seen at Briggs after that. It's safe to say that what happened fueled Jung's abhorrence for Briggs‘ general, but it was also Jung's greed was a reason for what happened.

It's no secret that Jung is quite problematic in the story and acts as an antagonist. So what happened? Has he been like this all the time?

Yes and no. Matthias never was manipulative with Helen as he is with Val years later. I doubt characteristics like this just appear out of nowhere, so I'm sure he already had some tendencies back then.

So, is this a "He lost the love of his life and went mad" kind of thing? Definitely no. I like Jung way too much to give him such a cheap excuse. Losing Helen didn't turn a switch in his head that made him toxic. This would be an excuse for the things he does later, and that's not something I want. Jung does questionable choices, and he needs to be held accountable for it.

However inserting pointless trauma that doesn't do anything in the story also isn't my interest. Losing Helen was horrible for Jung and paired with the circumstances of how it happened, it did leave a mark on Jung. He most definitely became more unruly due to this, and I doubt he would've reached his level if Helen had stayed around. Would she have been able to "save" him? Very unlikely.

I had the fight of my life with myself on whether I would make this (and another things related to it) happen. I was unsure if this would fit Jung, and the trope of 'lost love' can be cheap if handed poorly. But keeping its impact in mind, I decided to make this 'canon'. This info doesn't change anything on Jung in the story I told yet, it's just an addition. It's not an excuse and not even a proper explanation.

Also, I really like the parallel between these two and CasVal. Both of them chose to be together despite the laws and dangers this job holds. However, in the end, things ended tragically for Matthias and Helen. They're almost a mirror for what could've happened to CasVal. Not only because of that ;)

There's a lot to unravel with these two and I did include some important hints in these drawings. I'm unsure what I'll share just like that, but I'm open to talk about things if anyone manages to figure out the hints. So feel free to speculate in case you manage to connect some dots :D

Wait okay I'm not done with my Eddie thoughts

As an asexual/demisexual person, I gotta say this whole, triangulation/fixation on one's first love? SO on brand for Eddie.

Lots of speculation ahead, but I relate to so many of the elements of Eddie's storyline so much, I had to get this down:

Once upon a time, I literally had panic attacks when trying to date years after my First Real Love I broke up. Heart palpitations, the whole thing. It fucking sucked and tbh made me quit dating.

Now, though I never cheated, I can absolutely see that being a possible path for someone who experiences that sort of attraction and then combines it with PTSD.

Not that I'm using either as an excuse, but rather, I understand how, particularly if Eddie is a part of a sexuality that's based on deep emotional connection or even no sexual attraction at all, how he would justify his behavior in his own brain.

To Eddie, Marisol and even Ana don't /really/ count as True Loves - they're just women he went on dates with and maybe had some degree of connection, but more like, in a friend-he-had-sex-with way. It's not, and never will be, the same as with Shannon.

That's not even to say his relationship with Shannon is perfect or even good or based on mutual attraction, but rather when you're asexual, it's easy to idealize relationships you're in when they're bolstered by outside forces (in Eddie's case a child, but also circumstance/close quarters, even shared interests can forge this false connection).

This creates... Almost like a false narrative to look back on. You want to reflect on the things you think were perfect, and then try to connect those to future partners and their behavior. Problem with that is, there's usually this fog that sits over those 'perfect' relationships in your brain, corrupting the source of all your nostalgic emotions, so you're perpetually assigning potential new partners poorly put together science.

All of this makes it so difficult to work around your relationship history and build new, strong connections.

Compound that with PTSD from SO many sources, and you have a mess of a human barely capable of forming platonic connections, let alone romantic ones.

Seeing Shannon certainly, obviously triggered something in Eddie, and I think it's important to embrace this storyline head on so that Eddie can either come to terms with his sexuality or even just move on from always looking for Shannon in the crowd.

I'm for sure projecting a lot of my own sexuality on this, but I really do feel that, with the things we've seen about Eddie so far, this could easily connect the dots on the issues he's having with relationships in general.

Omg hi! Little warning for a ramble that might sound incoherent and "weird" to people who don't know how to have fun lol /lh (aka: I'm talking about my non-humanness, lol)

Warning! this gets VERY long, VERY specific and personal (not in a vent way, but in a "I'm rambling about myself" kind of way), and, somehow, incredibly scientific. Like, actually talking about a physics phenomenon and chemical reaction. I don't know, but yk how it is lol, I may be cringe but I am free

Well! I am indeed cloudkin and Ghostkin; rather, I've realized that I mostly feel like a cloud-looking spirit of sorts, inhabiting a human body if you will. I know some of my features (antlers, fangs, multiple eyes and dots and markings) but they're slightly shifting since my form isn't stable in itself!

Also, I know I'm fictionkin to some degree... Except I'm... not? See, I'm part of a system. I keep referring to myself as otherkin instead of just being a non-human sysmate because, despite this not being everyone's experience (completely valid), I technically "am" "the one that was here before the others""", rather, I was just here pre syscovery even if I know I've been plural for longer than that; but I felt so at home with kin terms that they felt right to use even when I don't see many systems referring to their individual members as X-kin. However, I did eventually realize that my connection to a certain character (I'd hide who it is... But I post about Dream sans on an almost daily basis and they've been the mental representation of myself for about five years now, like. They're me) but it didn't feel like being fictionkin to me; I AM some sort of introject, a semi-fictive I'd say. Plus Dream is a little ball of golden energy inhabiting a skeleton body... And so am I, a golden-looking spirit inside a body! So I'm ghost/cloudkin, galaxykin (simply because of the shifting nature and because my mind always feels so -vast-, like my body's too small to contain it, and it felt right to think of myself as a galaxy, and it was a good metaphor until it was just... intrinsically tied to who I am) and starkin for similar reasons (glowing mass of continuous chemical reactions... Me relating myself to chemistry doesn't end here, keep reading and you'll notice lol)

Stupidly enough, because this is so specific and no one ever seems to talk about stuff like this, one of the things I've realized about myself is what I'm made of; as in, which chemical-

It's something I've known for a while, before I went by Júpiter I went by Jay because I knew I wanted a name that started with J bc J and Q are the only letters not in the periodic table and I was like "oh, my name starts with J because I'm the missing element"; and then way before I had my gender figured out, the easiest way to explain my feelings was to talk about myself in pokemon types... I'd be a ghost/poison type, something about poison types always made me relate in a way? fitting lol

I think I had a huge species euphoria moment when we did the gold rain experiment (link leads to page explaining how to do the experiment) in my lab class. To put it simply, it is a mix of lead nitrate and potassium iodide that crystalizes, and then forms this snowball kind of effect, it looks like THIS:

I don't know, the mix of something looking so glittery, yet being so toxic (8g of lead nitrate are enough to kill you lol) made me go OMG ME

I want to also add that as a physics student + chemistry enthusiast, me feeling species euphoria from physics/chemistry concepts extends to more; for example I learnt about the De Broglie wave length and I haven't been normal ever since... idk how to properly explain it, so here's the wikipedia definition lol, shorter than what I was gonna write: "Matter waves are a central part of the theory of quantum mechanics, being half of wave–particle duality. At all scales where measurements have been practical, matter exhibits wave-like behavior. For example, a beam of electrons can be diffracted just like a beam of light or a water wave." And I don't know how to explain the inherent non-human euphoria I got being "related" to waves like light; like, yes!! I feel more incorporeal and more wave-like! I'm a ghost! Of course my specific properties aren't really "realistic" but come on, no one's trying to (dis)prove my existence.

I think I've just become very comfy in being non-human since 2021, maybe it's because my partner is also non-human and we've related a lot to each other in that regard; I just do the things that make me happy about it. I hide in bed with my prized possessions, makes me incredibly happy in an animalistic kind of way!

Other people find where they came from, who they were at some point. Personally, I do not have a spiritual past related to my non-humanity, I am a creature inhabiting a human body, so I don't have hearthomes or kin memories... I have weirdly specific attachments to physics concepts (part of the reason I must study physics, I need to understand the world on a deeper, non-human level) and feel euphoria over the weirdest shit lmfao

With the way sometimes Grrm talks about Dany "hot chick riding dragon" or her relationship with Drogo, idk how to say this, is jarring to say the least. We know he was surprised by people seeing san/san as romantic but I still don't know whether he intended Dany's wedding night to be rape (which it obviously is) but then he denied it. Sometimes I get the feeling he doesn't care for her the way he cares for say Sansa and Arya (he would never pair them with Drogo or Daario or Euron! yes Sansa married Tyrion but Grrm made it sure to be unconsummated and little more than sham), probably because he always intended for her to be doomed.

(in reference to this ask I think)

I don’t know that we can look at how much Martin makes a character suffer as an indication of how much he loves them. Tyrion has been misjudged/mistreated his entire life (even abused as in infant), and yet, he is Martin's favorite character. He’s not dishing out pain based on his affection for a character imo. I think he wants to look at certain ideas, and as much as he loves all his characters, as a writer, they’re tools he’s using to say certain things.

As fans, not the artist, it can be hard for us to emotionally disengage enough to think of it that way, but writers are trying to convey big ideas, and Dany’s lovers/husbands at times are representative of something about Dany, it isn’t always as simple as a sex scene, and if Martin is locked into that type of thinking, it may not be hitting him the way it hits us. I clearly remember being 13/14, I remember my friends at that age, so it offends me to read certain scenes or hear him talk about the girls in a certain way. I am with you in objecting to how he speaks about Dany.

That being said, I did have a new thought about this.

Martin endorsed the famous Meereenese blot essays, and in those, the author argues that Dany's choice in men indicates something about her--that she is moved by violence, that peace bores her. He relates what Martin has written about her sex life to Dany's character development, and I think that may be the light in which Martin views his choices, not the one we adopt, "this is a 13 year old child." If we want to extend that grace when interpreting his writing, we can assume that Drogo, as well as Daario, were created to show us Dany's desires--not write Dany as some sexual fantasy for pervs. They may both have been written to show us that Dany is drawn to violent means, even though it scares her, even though it hurts her, even though it may lead to her demise.

I hadn't really thought beyond my repulsion before, but this ask did remind me, there's a long literary history of writing land/countries as feminine, and seeing as how Martin has used the term, "come-into-my-castle" as a euphemism for sex, it's worth wondering what additional purposes some of these sex scenes serve. Maybe, they're conveying bigger ideas? As in, Sansa's choice to not have sex with Tyrion does mean she remains a virgin, but plot-wise, it matters because this actually protects Winterfell, the North, from the Lannisters. It can be read as Sansa (the North) will not be permanently conquered by the enemy (Lannisters), but will become free.

And if we look at Dany with the same idea, Martin's insistence that Dany's wedding day sex was consensual (yikes) and a “seduction” (fucking yikes) the literary point may be that scene is standing in for Dany being seduced by power and violent means, that rather than protecting her country (Westeros), she will willingly bring destruction and death. It is possible Martin's choices were less about whitewashing statutory rape (he goes on to write about Drogo brutally raping Dany so the way he objected to D&D's rewriting of the scene seemed odd), maybe the focus was always meant to be on what Dany loves, what she desires, it just took us getting to ADWD and her riding a dragon with some...uh, sexual sounding descriptions, for Martin to connect his dots.

All the same, I will not defend him. I am repulsed by how he has spoken about Dany in interviews, and I don't like how he sexualizes little girls. It disturbs me.

I'm sorry but I have another stupid limbus theory about Dante's identity! I think it is even sillier than my last one but also i like it way more haha Lobotomy corporation spoilers ! Leviathan spoilers !

cogito straw jump scare !

Ok I like the idea that Dante used to be a member of the original L corp as an employee for the Extraction team. It would be cool if they were specifically the employee who had Express Train to Hell extracted from them back in the first lab. 1. We know from wonderlab that all of the Lcorp employees use they/them and I've seen people mention that is because there was no place to record the gender of employees in-game? I have no idea if that is true and I would think it is slightly less fun than just a 100% cast of characters without gender on random chance all working for the same place - but for the sake of my crack theory let's assume its true for a second here! (I think it's a hilarious theory in many ways and I enjoy the absurd concept of LC somehow stealing employees' gender but I will not go into that now.) 2. We also know that Dante has the same 2 weird dot's on the front of their clock that Express Train to Hell has. That lines up with many of Vergilus' lines about going to hell and the whole Dante's Inferno pile of references and why the bus is actually looking like a train. I don't remember if it's implied or mentioned but Faust built both the train and Dante's new head so I'm pretty sure they're connected (they at least seem that way visually) 3. I think it is funny that rolling the gatcha for characters uses the same term extraction as the process that Binah was in charge of for filling up the lab with abnormalities. Binah mentions that Carmen and cogito basically do all the work inside someone's head and then the extraction team pulls it out. I'm assuming that means making the abnormality a physical separate entity. Binah specifies that the employees don't watch or listen to what they are doing - they just follow her instructions. She implies looking too hard into the eyes of the employees who are injected with cogito and are extracted from would cause many people to go mad.

How does this relate to what Faust told Vergilius in leviathan? I wonder how similar the strange cogito state is compared to how Charon lost her memories of being Lapis. It's possible that when Faust mentions Vergilius can save Lapis and Garnet she is referring in part to restoring Lapis' original identity. This would line up with the motivation (assuming Faust was telling the truth) to make Vergilius sign on as the Limbus Company Guide.

And if this theory is true that opens up a lot of interesting ideas for what the company is after. If the original employee super dosed with cogito is looking into 'the well' of human consciousness or whatever the phrasing was - what will they remember when they wake up? What is on the other side in there - is limbus company after that information? Do they know something is there and they want more details? Do they want an example that the theoretical way to rehabilitate people from this state works? Did they pick Dante on purpose due to some properties of the Express Train to Hell - or would they have picked at random with any intact employee they could find? It feels more like a mission a corporation in the city would realistically take.

Do they want to become the next L Corp? Are they looking for that singularity to replace them? It lines up as a feasible way they could do that while taking they actions they have so far in the story i think? It's another silly crack theory but I enjoy thinking about it all :)

I would like you to rate Apollo's wisdom, intelligence and obliviousness on the scale of 1 to 10, please. With commentary if you want. I am curious, since the fandom mostly considers him a pretty oblivious guy, but it varies from cartoonishly to relatably oblivious.

hoo boy time to drop some thoughts about my specialest loudest boy. disclaimer that i can't do scales so unfortunately, you'll just have to listen to me ramble about blorbo from my games pftt

wisdom wise (pun unintended), i think apollo's got ways to go during aa4. he had a fucked up life and then he got a job and that job was fucked up too and then he was in a REVOLUTION so... i feel like he got pretty experienced after all that pftt.

i had to search for what wisdom meant again bc i keep forgetting what words mean sometimes but as the ol' googly says, it's the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgment. we see him in aa4 and he's a greenhorn, he's inexperienced considering it's his first defense job and we see him grow throughout the cases, but as he said in turnabout succession. he's still new at this lawyer thing so he's got more to learn.

aa5 to aa6 wise, i can't comment that much on apollo's wisdom there since i . don't remember much from the games HGSFJDH. but i'd say apollo's wiser by then. still prone to making some novice mistakes bc c'mon, he's an ace attorney protagonist they're required to be a little stupid so you can be smart for them wheezes.

but i do think apollo is likely to forgo wisdom in the presence of passion. because apollo is very passionate, he's very strong in his convictions. when he found out phoenix made him present forged evidence, HE PUNCHED HIM IN THE FACE!!!! that's not the most informed or well-judged action but it sure is a passionate one! he's an intense guy!

as for intelligence, i have to repeat that he's an ace attorney protagonist, they're required to be a little stupid so you can be smart for them lmao. but i think apollo's a pretty smart guy all things considered. he could connect the dots that klavier couldn't even connect and he's pretty clever too, i think.

now... for obliviousness... i don't know if you meant this in the romantic sense or the general sense but i'll go with the romantic perspective bc c'mon. i'm a klapollo person first and a nonbinary bitch second.

do i think apollo is oblivious? yes, but not to the extent that klavier is literally kneeling down on one knee with a ring and he's like "gee prosecutor gavin this is a strange new yoga move you're doing right now" pfttt. i think apollo is oblivious in the way that he ACKNOWLEDGES that things are happening but he keeps BRUSHING THEM OFF.

klavier would flirt with him and he'd think: "prosecutor gavin is flirting with me but i'm sure it's nothing. he does that with everyone."

it's the anxiety of making the wrong assumption bc i think apollo thinks of himself as not being wanted or desirable. he'll dodge these opportunities because "apollo justice isn't supposed to have nice things."

he's oblivious as a defense mechanism. what if he's wrong? then he'll just embarrass himself because of course, why. why did he ever think it was possible? he's just... apollo, after all.

so YEA apollo is oblivious but not for the reasons that he's not good at getting romantic cues or such but bc he is sabotaging himself thank you for listening :^]

Thank you for your rant on the possibility of them coming out, it was very needed and you considered their situation and all the possible outcomes realistically.

I have to say, people just keep on walking in circles with Jikook, don't they? This has happened countless of times: people doubt them, demand proof, demand this and that, and then Jikook once again show up and shows everyone that everything is fine. This will happen again in the future. It will always happen, because, for some twisted reason, Jungkook and Jimin's relationship apparently needs to be validated ALL THE TIME. If they don't KISS in front of the camera, then it's never going to be enough for anyone.

The other members can go days, weeks, months without even mentioning each other's name, yet no one questions them. Jimin hugged Hoseok the same way he hugged Jungkook in the enlistment video, yet no one doubted their bond. No one doubted they saw each other frequently and are besties. But God forbid Jimin hug Jungkook the same way, because suddenly that means they're distant and never see each other. Because we have cameras in their houses and we have full on 24/7 to it, it seems 🤔

It's not fair. Why do they have to be proving themselves all the fucking time? They don't owe us anything, and yet look at everything they've subtly (sometimes even not so subtly, bless poor namjoon) given us for TEN YEARS. Consistently.

People just don't listen to what they're saying. Jimin has grown to like being at home more. He answers Jungkook related questions but he deflects. He omits so smoothly that no one notices, no one even reads between the lines. He'll say that he hadn't gone to Jungkook's house, and that he'd seen him on vlive. And, to me, it means that specific day. I didn't see Jungkook TODAY. I didn't go to his house TODAY. It's hidden.

Jungkook is an introvert who loves hanging out at home with food and drinks. It's not that hard to connect the dots as to why they don't hang out publicly. They'd be both more comfortable at home, where they can do whatever they want, instead of going out in public and being scrutinized and having every movement analyzed and photographed. You develop certain habits when you're dating someone for a long time. You reach for their hands unconsciously, you pull them closer, you look at them and sometimes you can't control your eyes. Imagine that for two worldwide famous people in a mostly homophobic country? With the Military breathing down on their necks?

Plus the reputation with the president, like, they're Korea's golden boys. Everyone looks up to them. There is SO much at stake, but instead of looking at the bigger/full picture and considering EVERYTHING, nah, people just jump to conclusions and try to shove down our throats that they've broken up and are not close anymore.

It's tiring.

I agree with everything you said, and I share your frustration regarding the ridiculously high standards Jikook (and only Jikook) are held to. They have to constantly prove their closeness, yet nothing is ever proof enough? It’s quite baffling.

In general, I feel like anything ambiguous is dismissed as far as Jikook are concerned.

Such as with the ‘they haven’t seen each other, they’re no longer close’ debacle. Firstly, can we take a moment to process just how many times Jikook themselves have expressed a desire to meet/visit each other in their Vlives? Do people actually think they never followed through simply because we don’t have any solid confirmations?

Then there’s all of Jimin’s subtle deflections. We know his social intelligence is incredibly high, there’s no doubt he’d be able to execute such small twists of the truth seamlessly. Or well enough to convince anyone who doesn’t want to read between the lines.

“Have you seen Jungkook” “I saw that Jungkook did a Vlive.” This made me laugh. Like, calm down, Jimin, don’t be too forthcoming now.

I also think Jungkook is better at navigating these things than people give him credit for. Just look at all of the subtle ways he promoted Face and showed his support for Jimin during his solo debut. He’s very clever.

(Jungkook constantly gets underestimated though. Like, he’ll do something super intentional (GCF Tokyo, anyone?) and his supposed fans will basically claim he’s too dumb to comprehend his own actions? It’s quite appalling how they’d rather disrespect their idol like that than be receptive to what he’s trying to communicate).

Also, isn’t it interesting that Jungkook was so well-informed on Jimin’s solo activities? It’s almost like they’re a major part of each other’s lives or something…
