just imagine :(( you made the beaded bracelets for yourself and you know simon usually likes silver but you wanted to give him flare! so you cut up a piece of leather from extra scraps that weren’t used for your project and made a leather cuff for him that kind of matched the amount of charms in your own bracelets!!

“oh?” simon hums when you give it to him. “and this is for me, sweets?”

“yeah!” you say before showing off your own jewelled wrist.

ah, simon thinks to himself, so that’s what’s making a jingling noise when you walked towards him.

simon takes the cuff with a smile before reaching to steady your hand and planting a kiss on the back of your palm. he peers up at you, letting his smile show at seeing the way you’re fucking beaming at him with pride.

“thank you, baby,” simon murmurs and kisses your hand again.

he tugs the cuff on and marvels at the careful design. it’s truly not his style, but simon sees the details that you’ve put that he knows reminded you of him and, well, how can he not adore this little thing?

“y’like it?” you ask, unconsciously swaying side-to-side in excitement.

simon chuckles. “yeah, baby. i really do.”

he laughs as you launch yourself to him, catching you just in time, and being careful not to puncture you with the studs. fuckin’ adorable, y’are.

(And for context, Winnie is Will's biological sister that I have not designed nor planned yet !)

Will used to have just 1 earring pierced on his Left Ear (if I recall correctly 💀 hashtag bad OC creator) but he went to get the other one pierced with Mimix

After meeting Starii, she gave him one of her earrings, so his Right Ear would always have a star-shaped earring! (Don't worry about consistency i literally forget all the time too LOL)

He has one of those succubus-looking tattoos on his tummy 😳😳 Solely because I think it's cute and ZESTY and it has 0 things to do with his character but thats okay. <3

And honestly shout out to All These Artists for feeding my delusions and brainrots at 2-3am even, with their ideas and headcanons too, they got me Giggling and Kicking my Feet and Everything WAAA

hey gamers. been utterly addicted to watching the qsmp recently. fucked up that the one pov i was watching had to go and die. how am i meant to survive without my daily observations of SunnySideUp ☹️☹️☹️

head to toe speedrun lets go

hair: the brown with lightened ends is meant to mimic tubbo's, but it also sort of reminds me of burnt scrambled eggs, so we'll pretend like that was on purpose.

horns: EGG! same thing with the pattern of the tail. was very fun to do

face: yall have no fucking idea how hard i struggled on the face. i literally spent 20+ minutes slowly descending into madness as everything i tried failed until i eventually landed on this

dress: cute!! puffy!! fun!! princess sleeves... a little kitty face in honor of the cat head...a big ribbon... poofy fluffy skirt... also very fun to do

jewelry: a little bit of extra color!! and homage to the bright blue diamonds... ideally both hands would have little diamond rings on each middle finger but neither wouldve been visible here so you just have to use your imagination. also, crown!

shoes: SNEAKERS!!! she is a little kid and she runs around after people so often. she needs some sneakers. she definitely thinks they make her run faster. im also SURE she does not know how to tie them herself.

hi! i wanted to ask a question though because i understand its not rlly ur specialty im just asking if u know any other blogs that can help. I work with visual arts, and thats how i wanna do my stories, through something like comics, so i wanted to ask if you know of any resources to help me with properly representing things like scarring, especially facial scarring and facial differences.But anything on representing disability in visual mediums would help. Thank you regardless!

I actually work with visual arts and draw a lot of characters with facial differences (FD) on the daily! I hope I'll be able to help.

I'm not aware of any resources for visual mediums specifically (especially if you mean something like a "how to draw [specific facial difference]" type thing. Despite comic book authors drawing facial differences for ages for their villains there really aren't any good tutorials that I know of) so I tried to combine a few points that maybe will be helpful to you;

Reference photos of real people with the condition your character has. Try to research the symptoms of it as well (especially if it's a syndrome) - maybe it will turn out that the symptoms your character has require a trach tube or a nasal cannula, or something completely different.

Don't overexaggerate their facial difference for the shock value...

...or downplay it for the cuteness/attractiveness factor.

What I mean is - whether your character is the adorable love interest or the morally gray criminal, their facial difference shouldn't reflect that. Don't make some kind of moral connection of "major craniofacial condition = bad person, teeny tiny scar = good person".

Don't draw your character with FD constantly covered in blood and running around with an axe. The portrayal of people with FD as violent/murderous is not only offensive and not helping the public perception of facial differences, but is also just incredibly boring and overdone. 99% of "representation" looks like this and has been looking like this since horror movies have been invented. I'm 100% serious when I say that drawing a person with a facial difference just having friends is a thousand times more groundbreaking than all these horror tropes combined.

Don't use the ancient "facial difference = joke" design trope. Authors love using strabismus, drooling, lacking teeth or skull conditions as shortcuts for "humor". These conditions are all real and real people have them (including me, hi). They don't exist as some kind of signifier that a character is "stupid" or "crazy". It is extremely prevalent and hard to unsee once you start noticing.

A lot of people in the FD community just want characters with FD that are normal, everyday people doing normal everyday things - having a family, hanging out with a friend, petting their cat... Not murderers hunting ablebodied teenagers through the woods. Maybe one of your character's family members has a burn scar without having it be A Big Deal, maybe one of their classmates has Goldenhar Syndrome that everyone just accepts, maybe the background character at the local supermarket has neurofibromas on their face... lots of options that don't involve tired villain tropes. With the advantage of a visual medium, you don't even need to explicitly mention that they have a facial difference - just draw it and let it be there. No dramatic reveal necessary.

Have a range of facial differences represented, even if it's just the side characters. Most people only ever draw scars, usually small and not affecting anything other than the skin, which isn't bad - a lot of people do have scars like that, and they deserve to be represented. However, there are literal thousands of different things that also count as a facial differences. Some of them like strabismus, Down Syndrome, tumors, or nerve palsies (most notably Bell's palsy, but there's 12 of them in total) are quite common, while conditions like Treacher Collins Syndrome, Pfeiffer Syndrome or Anophthalmia are usually considered rare - but a lot of people still have them. Having two or more characters with some kind of facial difference definitely isn't out of place.

This is more of a technical thing, but don't ever tag a visual medium as "gore" or "body horror" because someone has a facial difference. It's ableist and incredibly dehumanizing.

This page regarding facial differences in media (not only visual) is also worth giving a read. I hope any of this was useful. If you have more specific questions, feel free to send another ask

I love your art so much! If you don't mind me asking what's your process for designing characters/outfits?

i had to think about this for a while

when designing characters sometimes im just thinking of a concept ive been exposed to and want to expand in my mind, like with my dunmeshi ocs there were multiple Things in dungeon meshi i wanted to play around with.

dwarves having high tech ruins with trolleys? telephones? there must be Some innovation going on with dwarven society, what if i made someone interested in that innovation but theyre not a dwarf. elves have magic but instead of casting, this character leans toward that tinkering mentality and they brew magic potions and make explosives. Then, i know the noble dwarves in the story are drawn like Rennaissance lords but they have telephones, so maybe there could be a little bit of a steampunk vibe. And then being an elf, around dwarves, they probably get their gender confused more often, maybe they actually dont mind that much and its fun. maybe they work for the dwarven noble in the party? i think that was basically my thought process for fry. and then for his physical appearence, i started drawing an elf and i was focusing on that "likes to have fun" part and i gave him sort of that elven shagginess/laid back look, and messed around with the color pallett until i picked something i liked. he almost had bleach white hair reminiscent of a mad scientist but brown felt more grounded. and its pink at the root because its cute!

i feel like i wing it with outfits but i think i use the same logic. hes an alchemist and lives around nobility, so he has kind of a suit as if hes in academia. but hes cute, so it has a skirt and no jacket. he has a magical prosthetic that he controls with a puppet spell like milsiril uses to control her puppets. it doesnt heal when hes healed because he was born without the arm, and it also doesnt count towards the 1/13th of body missing that would ruin a ressurection since it was never there to begin with. SORRY I GOT INTO THE LORE ON YOU umm yeah and then his head is very warm toned so his outfit i chose warm tones as well. i put goggles and gloves because safety first proper PPE. and thats it! i pick outfits that make sense for what i know of the character, their class(monetarily) how practical i imagine they are, what they would dress for on a daily basis. either before or during the design process im thinking of the silouette and color chemistry as well, but that can change with an outfit.

General thoughts: Wanted to make designs that fit the characters but also that gave the vibe that they're children (like 8-12 years old).Thats why, in some cases, the clothes dont exactly match: they're kids who are dressing themselves! Main inspiration was "cute kid clothes" from pinterest and memories from primary school lmao. Their names are also their signatures!

Pomme: Hijabi Pomme!!! My original designs for Pomme didnt have one, mostly because I wasnt sure if children that young wore hijabs (still not sure tbh, but should be fine i hope) but its cute so im keeping it. It defies gravity and has apples on it!! She has fake fairy wings that children wear, MASSIVE beret. Also she's a demon! She has a horn on her right which matches with Dapper, and a leaf shaped tail! Shes wearing light up sketchers (though I might change it in the future)

Tallullah: As you can see, theres 3 Tallullahs since i couldnt decide which design to go with. The one with a yellow jumper and the one with the poncho are more similar to popular fanon design, while the purple jacket is more "emo" (but it fits her "sensitive" personality more imo). She has a Poppy and an anvil cat pin in her beanie and some purple hearing aids. Also her hair is short because its always bothered me people making it long since her model has short hair. Like girls can have short hair too!! (its canon now too YIPPE though i drew it before she got a haircut). She's the tallest egg!

Chayenne: One of my favourite eggos, I really like the fanon design so I mostly based it off that. Only thing to note is that his floatie emotes, like it mirrors his expressions and he has swimming shorts with wave patterns. Also he's one of the shorter eggs (I find his height difference with Tallullah very cute, especially since he has a "protector" role).

Richarlyson: Again: fanon design is perfect, no notes there. Only thing I changed was I made his T-shirt MASSIVE (you cant tell since his arms are up but it is big) and hes always using a running prosthetic since he's so hyperactive, it'd be a pain to keep changing it over and over again. He has an ankle bracelet aswell, each bead one of his parents! Though I may in the future change up his hair, I dont like how I drew it😭😭.

so a few months ago, i saw on instagram reel of a dude learning how do his gf's nails so that she doesnt spend lots of money. I cant stop thinking of simon who does bimbo!reader nails.

NAWW THATS SO CUTE :(( he gets so focus and fixated that it confuses bimbo!reader a bit because simon’s being so secretive but she leaves him be because she knows simon’s going to come to her when he’s ready with whatever he’s doing anyway.

he uses the tf141 as practice dummy and they reluctantly let him because, hey, simon has finally got a civilian interest and hobby. of course they’d help cultivate this.

soap gets all the bling (they’re pasted with no symmetry or a singular vibe), gaz is sporting an attempt at french tips but the white polish is smeared all over the place, while price has those pearly-sheen nails.

they’re all so focused that they forgot that they were visiting today to surprise you so when you came home, you get so confused at seeing the mini-manicure sesh that’s going on. but then you see how messy their sets are so you offered to re-do them. “simmy, you too!”

simon blinks. “…you know how to do your nails?”

“yup! i didn’t wanna spend so much money to get them done,” you say, smiling at him. “oh! but when i want specific designs, that’s when i get them done but patty gives me a discount, so…!”

johnny has to smother his wheezing behind his palm because holy fuck. their lieutenant’s attempt to woo you is thwarted–

fuck, this is too funny.

“oh,” simon murmurs. “of course, sweets. that’s great.”

your eyes furrow at his response, cataloguing the way he’s staring at you with a little—no amount of simon denying this later can make it untrue—pout. you run the conversation in your head, noting the dips in his voice, the wrinkles on his forehead.

wait-

oh.

oh!

“baby!” is all what they hear before you’re launching yourself to him. simon easily catches you, of course, and you chuckle when he fixes you on top of his lap so you can rest comfortably.

“thank you,” you coo before tapping the tip of his nose in a boop, akin to the ones you always give mittens. “i can teach you, if you want?”

simon’s eyes crinkle as he smiles, his face breaking into something soft. “i’d love that.”

…his squad doesn’t get to escape faster so there you all are, in your impromptu station, re-doing their nails with ease. they are amazed at how delicate and beautiful you’ve fixed simon’s messy attempts, their new sets shimmering like they’re bought.

(simon only gets a gel manicure of pure black polish with little halo stars.

“hey, no fair that LT’s the only one with practical nails!” johnny whines, waving his hand, therefore also his long nails, around in emphasis.

you stick your tongue out at him. “i’m matching dick grabbers with my man so of course i’d make his different.”

kyle chokes, john’s already standing up to disappear into the kitchen, and simon sighs. all the while, johnny freezes, head tilting.

“dick what–”

Luffy ㅡ definitely doesn't see anything wrong w your growing collection and sometimes will help you pick one out if you're having trouble choosing. Definitely the reason you have plushies that resemble each member of the crew in some way or another.

"Whoa, hey! This one looks like Zoro, don't you think?" It's a green tiger plush that's been marked down because it's missing an eye, and Luffy grins as he hands the plush to you. "You should definitely get this one!"

ㅡ

Zoro ㅡ doesn't understand why you have so many, but also won't tease you about it either. Probably uses one of them as a pillow in his usual napping spots because they're scattered everywhere. Once made the mistake of damaging one while training, and you didn't know about it until he dropped the (clumsily) repaired plush into your lap.

"Here." You blink at the sudden weight in your lap, staring at the bear who's left arm looks a little worse for wear. "It was an accident but I know these mean somethin' to you, so..." He huffs when you thank him. "Whatever. Don't get used to it, okay?"

Is he blushing? Maybe, just a little.

ㅡ

Nami ㅡ threatens to sell them for beri just kidding, she understands the value behind stuff that reminds you of a childhood you might not have gotten to enjoy fully ㅡ they may not be tangerine trees, but she gets it. Might scold you a little if you're bringing back something expensive, but also not above helping you pick them out, like Luffy. Also will pick one up for a cuddle if she needs it, but also will help repair them if they get damaged.

"Here you go." She hands you the little dog and when you give her a confused look, she elaborates. "I saw the idiots tossing this little guy around yesterday, so his stuffing got pretty lumpy and I wanted to fix it for you. Little guy's good as new."

"Thanks, Nami."

She smiles. "No problem. Next repair won't be free though, okay?"

She's half teasing, half serious. Watches as you cuddle the plush to you, enjoying the soft plush of it and faint scent of tangerines.

ㅡ

Usopp ㅡ also kind of confused because you're a pirate, what do you need with so many stuffed animals? If it's a comfort thing, he leaves it at that ㅡ also makes voices for them if you're upset and he's trying to cheer you up. Could also be talked into working with Frankie and trying to design something so that some of them aren't just toys, but he won't do it if you don't want him to.

"Mr. Cat saw you were upset and he wanted to come check on you." You watch as the bell around the toy cat's neck jingles with the way Usopp walks it over to you, then up at the sniper himself. He grins nervously, then offers the plush to you. "Do you want to talk?"

"Not right now," you say, but hug the plush to yourself and offer him a weak smile. "Thanks, though."

Usopp's smile widens just a little. "No problem."

ㅡ

Sanji ㅡ definitely thinks it adds to your charm, coos about your duality ㅡ how can someone so lethal in battle have such a cute side too? Picks them up out of harm's way (ie Luffy, Zoro, occasionally Usopp) when he sees them. Also occasionally humors you by talking to them like they're people too.

"Would they care for a drink too?" You look over at the oversized rabbit that's seated next to you and then laugh.

"It's a rabbit, Sanji." His cheeks pink a littleat you laughing, but you soothe it with what you say after. "We could definitely appreciate your company, though."

Also watches where he smokes, does his best to make sure no harm comes to the plushies or that they smell like smoke.

ㅡ

Robin ㅡ finds it cute that you have a hobby like that, but also is mindful of where they're scattere. Makes sure none of them are flung overboard on accident, or torn up by the usual activity on deck. Also borrows one from time to time, either for Chopper or for herself to keep her company while she reads.

"Thank-you for letting me borrow this little one," she says as she hands the owl plush back to you. "They're very soft."

"Aren't they?" You look down at the plush, then offer it back to her. "You can keep this one, if you want. I have plenty."

She stares for a minute, then smiles. "That's very kind of you. Thank-you."

The owl plush becomes a common presence around her when she has downtime, keeping her company.

But would become the big spoon and rub you to sleep ♡

Just like sumin, he was pretty scared when you told your dream

I have so many!!! I definitely can't name every single one but heres a few that have been extremely influential to me!! This took me 2 hours to write i am SO sorry lmao

Puyo Puyo (Specifially Fever, Quest, and Tetris)

CUTESY BRIGHT BRIGHT COLORS!!!!!! Thats everything I love!!!!!! I'm pretty sure I talked about this when I first got into puyo puyo but I for SURE instantly decided that yep Im steering my style in this direction sorryyyyyy!!! I just think its so fun and silly and cute and rahhh it makes me so happy.

Especially for the work I do most often, which is character portraits without backgrounds, I will often look at puyo puyo posing just to get ideas!! (I've drawn Arle's dumbfounded pose 100000000 times becus I love it so much). The puyo puyo anatomy has very noodly arms and legs but with big ass shoes and accessories which is probably my favorite design thing in the world....

I seriously recommend just looking through the Puyo Puyo Nexus wiki for pose ideas (if you want something cute/silly of course) because every single one is just perfect. I am trying to get out of some dumb art habits of my own right now, but hopefully in the future you'll be able to see more goofy poses with sillier effects :3

Muse Dash Again I want you to look at the COLORS. Its so bright and this time you can really tell where I took my shading style from. I dont want my shadows to be dark I want them to be PINK or PURPLE. thank you. For my own art, I really try to make it so the darkest "black" is actually a deep purple or blue, and as I keep making art that dark color keeps getting just a bit lighter haha...

This is also the reason I color my lineart the way I do. I just really want to add as many colors as possible into the image. And if the image looks a bit more pink after that then thats just an extra perk!!

I also need to bring up the animation because they're just so bouncy and alive!!! This is like an instant stunlock for me, I have to look at them, theyre so BOUNCYYY!!!!!! I don't do much animation but every other week I get the sudden urge to try tweening again just to eventually get to the point I can make something similar to these for my own ocs lol

Great Pretender This show has some of the most gorgeous art ive ever seen. All the backgrounds are so bright and colorful. I dont usually draw art with backgrounds anymore sadly, but when I used to I really tried to study these for them. And I hope in the future I can make more art and show how far I've come.

Though I;ve changed to a more chibi style in recent times (thanks puyo puyo), this was still one of the first times I had ever watched a show and said "Oh my god I love this artstyle I need to get better at art" and Its always in my mind for that reason.

Ive definitely stolen lots of elements from the style. Though they've gotten more subtle over the years. I dont really know how to describe it any further but I hope you understand what I mean by looking at these screenshots,,,

this feels like something kinda up your alley and youve inspired a lot of the realism in my tes writing lately, so! it occurred to me that the dunmer could use dwemeris the same way we use latin and ancient greek, like for scientific terms and taxonomy and such? even though canonical sources on dwemeris are lacking this idea remains very stuck in my head lol

basically,. im not sure if youre familiar with vvardvarks? one of 1% of eso creature designs i actually enjoy. anyway i’d wanted to see what i could do about the cute but silly name etymology to fit my own tes worldbuilding. obviously irl its vvardenfell + aardvark, and in-universe seemingly vvardenfell + varkenel, the telvanni guy who created them. but much to my delight “vvarden” by itself is just dwemeris for “strong shield”, and of course vvardvarks are covered in little “shields” i.e. their pangolin-esque scales. not sure if the eso creatives made this connection.. x doubt etc. but i came up with “vvardenarkngd” as a sort of scientific name, which more or less means “gifted with strong shield[s]”. i imagine that the colloquial vvardvark came from a corruption of vvardenarkngd over time. thats all ive actually done so far but it did really hit me that using dwemeris as the dunmer equivalent of how we use latin is kind of a cool concept!

anyway.. i hope this isnt too random or irrelevant but i just wanted to share as a way to thank you for inspiring me to think about tes and tes languages in deeper ways!! i dont think i ever would have if it werent for some of your stories/worldbuilding. so i hope you and/or your followers at least find this neat or that i can inspire someone else in turn!
