yesterday could have been the best day of this year, the best day in a long time, now that blur are back together once again! today i'd have woken up ecstatic just with that photo of graham in damon's studio.
but i had to be away from home for a week and when i came back i saw that city workers had cut with the excuse of 'pruning' almost half of my tree, the tree in my street that gave me shelter from the sun, who protected me from the eyes of spying neighbours, who brought beauty and birds to my window. what they did was not pruning, they ruined it. it will take years for it to look as it was and i've lost my branch forever since it will probably only grow upwards now.
i love it here but i've lately been feeling that maybe my future is elsewhere, is this a signal to move on?
