i was thinking about the way they sign off as "a nameless ghoul" on their socials and somehow it got me thinking about what the ghouls would have each other saved as if they had phones (another tangent💕💕)
- swiss would have phantom saved as like "bug ❤️" and aurora as "princess💕" but would have dew saved as "dick sucker #1" (mountain is #2) and rain saved as 🐟 or something because he thinks he's funny
- he'd have the girls saved as something cute and respectful like cumulus would be lus 💘 and cirrus would be cir ❤️ but he's low-key terrified of mist (even tho she's actually so sweet she's just shy) and he only has her number because papa was trying to plan yule and freaked out and just put everyone in a gc but she's never even on her phone and he just has her saved as mist. like there's no need for the full stop he just put it here (and sunshine is saved as like 🍒 or sm and she has him saved as 🍆 cos they're funny)
- rain would save everyone as their names w the cute little symbols and hearts
- dew has aether as aeth❤️❤️ and everyone else (apart from rain he's rainy even tho he claims he hates that because it sounds childish) as like cunt and he can't tell who's who
- cirrus would just have everyone as their names but her girls have a heart next to them
- phantom has everyone saved as an inside joke (apart from all the papas he's so scared of being disrespectful so he has them saved as like Papa Emeritus II etc so in the pack group chat it's like "microwave❤️" (dew), "9incher" (swiss) and "Papa Emeritus The Fourth.")
- aether would have everyone saved as something super cute like someone sees their name on his phone and go awwww out loud it's that cute - cirrus is definitely my wife 💋 (they're married idc), dew is like waterlily, cumulus is cue💞 etc etc (he's the only one who has copia saved as copia, everyone else has him saved as papa)
- mountain is like cirrus but without the hearts, he's never on his phone so he never even thought about it like that (he doesn't have phantoms number saved)
- aurora has everyone saved as something stupid that only makes sense to her and phantom (and occasionally swiss but he's given up) like dew is just saved as some really dumb emoji and no one knows why and everytime she's asked about it she'll look at phantom and they'll burst out laughing and swiss has to comfort dew and be like they're not bullying u baby i promise even tho he doesn't know what it means either
- cumulus has the boys saved as their names/nicknames with a <3 and has the girls saved as her nicknames/petnames for them with a colored heart that she associates with them
- sunny has everyone saved as a sex joke. idc. the girls are probably saved as mommy #1, etc
- copia has them all saved as "Water Ghoul" "Multi Ghoulette" because he's scared he'll get given out to for being unprofessional (hes literally papa.) (swiss has begged him to change his name from "Multi Ghoul" to "MY FAVOURITE" so many times)

My backstory is not as intriguing as half of the people here it's so cringy but like idk
My parents weren't exactly common folk in this case my mother was a pro-hero called storm (yes same powers but not that storm) and my dad was out of the picture. From an early age, I exhibited an affinity for the sun and moon.
As a child, my quirk manifested unexpectedly. One sunny afternoon, while I was playing in the backyard, I reached out to touch a sunflower.And to my surprise, the flower caught on fire. My mother and my grandma who were both there there at the time were both amazed and concerned.
But mother dearest being a pro here handled it pretty well I would say, later on during my younger years I jst kept discovering I could do stuff it's like every day I would wake up and it's like wow I didnt know I could do that

5: My favourite ship of them
Isadora/Violet as that’s what I’ve read the most fics+seen the most artwork of regarding Isadora in a romantic relationship however I like the concept of Isadora/Fiona too but would need a lil more convincing.🖤💜✒️🔧
Duncan/Klaus: it’s wholesome+they are compatible. I like the thought of them nerding out together. Also researcher/journalist? Even their interests fit! Not to mention that they would both be impossibly awkward whilst trying to flirt before getting together. :)💚💙📝📰📘

Fr tho I think it’s something to do with those 2 characters who have had to be fiercely independent for so long learning to rely on each other. I also feel like their romantic dynamic is the most chaotic+interesting out of all of them too, like it’d by no means be a smooth relationship but it’d be a worthy one. They’d be good for each other.

Isadora/Klaus: Nah, they’re Friends. +it’s a great friendship too, I’d say their friendship is worth more than their romance would be.
Duncan/Carmelita: No. She bullied him the ENTIRE time. They have 0 chemistry. They have very little in common, i.e, nothing to bond over. Unless you imagine them getting nostalgic over how Carmelita bullied him for being an orphan which just…no…that’s about the furthest from romance there is.
Quigley/Carmelita: I’d hope Quigley would have better taste. Although, it would be hilarious if after reuniting with his siblings then they’re about to tell him all about their awful time at Prufrock when Quigley is like “Wait! First let me introduce you to my girlfriend!” Then the gf is Carmelita 😬😬😬

Isadora+Klaus: they bond over books of literary analysis+pull faces at each other in class :)
Duncan+Sunny who he was willing to protect via kicking a fake version of her round in a circle. His heart was there even if his brain wasn’t.

Ew. I hate making big life decisions that are going to disappoint/confuse a hell of a lot of people. But I think it's the right decision for me and that's what ultimately matters, right?

hey, ali! i feel your pain about the tbosas adaptation! i cried so much during the movie but not because i felt emotional, seeing MY book comes alive on screen but because we were robbbbbbbbbbed and shot 😞😞😞😞😞😞 anyways, what's your opinion on the music tho? fav/least fav song? I LOVED THE MUSIC! a dystopian reflection of our reality through intentional use of folk/bluegrass music is something that resonates strongly with me. i mean, they knew how to strike the right chord in the hearts of book readers for sure! *the only other thing i wish was different about the music it's the variety of tempo and rhythm because as much as i LOVED the unified sound of LG's songs, i would prefer each song to have its own individual tune and ~aura)
my absolute favourite adaptation that they did was 'nothing you can take from me' (boot-stompin’ version); i am utterly in awe of the powerful passionate energy that they gave to this song?? also i loveeed the similarity of rhythm and tone between 'nothing you can take from me' and a traditional american folk song 'man of constant sorrow', i kinda feel it was a deliberate parallel which worked just great. (also i’m glad they added maude ivory’s 'keep on the sunny side'!)
my least favourite is perhaps 'the ballad of lucy gray baird'?.. and though i did enjoy rachel’s rendition (she copies a young dolly parton in such a warm-hearted respectful manner!), and the respect for traditional appalachian music, she sang it in a cheerful 'to hell with you!' manner which is less intense and intimate that i remember it from the book to be? to quote tbosas here: 'the haunting melody set the tone, and her words did the rest as she began to sing in a voice husky from smoke and sadness' – the movie version really failed to capture both the haunting tune (their version doesn't really tell the story musically because of a major key) and the lucy gray's vulnerability here for me. in the book she did what carrie fisher told us all to do: 'take your broken heart and turn it into art' while in the movie she isn't even angry at billy taupe?? like his betrayal (and her place in the games) is not a big deal? she's openly rebellious and sassy with out of place 'i need no man' attitude and that simply didn't work for me personally.
it took some time for 'pure as the driven snow' to grow on me (i expected it to be more of a waltz-like, similar to maiah wynne's cover), but i'm coming around to it. yet… i wish it was STAGED differently??? they had to combine certain scenes and songs in the film but it was such a SURREAL idea to meld PATDS with 'sell you for a song' setting? and it took away so much from that moment of love and connection and unconditional acceptance, where lucy gray is finally ready to be emotionally unshielded in front of her lover (maybe for the first time ever)?? it was a PIVOTAL snowbaird moment but they needed to blend two songs together because obviously PATDS can't be love confession in form of a song because it should be taken as an ominous warning instead (duh!). 'bitch you better not turn out to be a bad guy even tho i knew you were a villain all along' :??? and it could've worked in its own angst-y way, if there had been any development in snowbaird love story?? but since movie!they are full on survival the whole time (there's no canonical teetering on the edge of an actual fondness/love and survival instinct), PATDS makes no sense at all. so… i extremely frustrated by the use of PATDS on screen but at the same time i love the sound of the full version on the soundtrack album.
annnd i'm actually IN PAIN because they had the audacity to leave so many songs out?? especially given their ties to the original trilogy?? 'deep in the meadow' aka rue's song???? 'the valley song' aka the one peeta mentioned seeing katniss sing at school when they were children???? the festive 'crawling to you' ('that thing i love with') likely performed at finnick’s wedding?? idk maybe it's a musical nerd who is speaking in me but i wish they could have included more of the book songs at least on the album, if not in the actual movie (even tho i'm still sure, it would've been possible to present the whole complexity of this book AND its poetic side too, if they decided to split the film in two).
[the score album wasn't much to talk about but 'snow lands on top' piece tho… vivid, striking, remarkable]
#wifeofthewolves#ask#my ramblings#dolly sorry it's a bit longer and more spiteful than i expected it to be#i have to agree with you 'the old therefore' is mesmerizing and breathtaking + rachel's vocals are phenomenal there#i'm not a fan of how aggressive her portrayal of lucy gray generally was#but that raw anger in 'the old therefore' felt so right it reminded me of eva noblezada's eurydice even#btw rachel's first line from 'the reaping song' sounds so similiar to samantha's eponine#actually first time i heard it i was so shocked i stopped the song to immediately rewind it back to the beginning lol#and i'm glad i listened to the album before i watched the movie#because welllllllll the music is better#i wish we could've replaced 'can't catch me now' with any canon song tho because i really don't care about miss rodrigo#also also the movie’s musical arrangement of the wordsworth song is kind of boring sorry#anywayssssss tell me more what do you think
