Slytherin Boys Birth Chart Predictions

Note: I already posted my predictions for Mattheo and Lorenzo's Birth Chart, but I'm still including them in this post. However, I did explain some things in their chart a little better/added some things. Very minor adjustments.

This will not include their signs in Pluto, Uranus, Saturn, Neptune, or Jupiter. I am willing to explain those signs as well if asked. Those placements deal more with life philosophies/spirituality and those aren't things I feel compelled to talk about in this post. I do have to explain Theo's Saturn sign at the end and since Saturn is determined by the year you were born you could fit that placement in with all of them. Depends on where you view them age-wise and generationally.

Some of them have the same placements so when I explain the traits of that placement I'm saying similar things in the other chart. In saying that, my explanation of why I think these placements fit them are all different despite having the same placements. This is because the way they portray their placements can vary based on the rest of their chart. I didn't want to summarize the traits for the next chart in case someone just wanted to look at one specific person and not all of them.

Rising Sign: Your Rising sign is how you project yourself onto others both physically and in your initial greeting.

Sun Sign: Your Sun sign is your core personality, the side you show most of the time.

Moon Sign: Your moon sign deals with your deepest and most raw emotions.

Mercury Sign: Your Mercury sign involves the way you communicate and think.

Venus Sign: Your Venus sign is how you love both platonically and romantically.

Mars Sign: Your Mars sign deals with sex and aggression.

Chart Ruler: You find your Chart Ruler by looking at your Rising sign. Find the planet that rules your Rising Sign. Let's say your Rising is in Cancer. Cancer is ruled by the Moon. Therefore, your Chart Ruler is whatever placement falls into your Moon sign. If you're a Virgo Moon, then your Chart Ruler is your Virgo Moon.

What's a Chart Ruler? The captain of the ship. The other placements help out and have a say now and then, but your Chart Ruler is the leader and the main decision-maker. This is important to know because someone with otherwise very kind placements might fail to show that if their Chart Ruler is the opposite.

Mattheo Riddle

Rising: Aries

Ruling Planet: Mars

Aries Risings are known to have sharper and more prominent noses as well as a sharp chin and jawline. These are physical traits I associate with Mattheo Riddle. Mattheo Riddle has passion and determination. These traits are associated with Mars. They have this innate desire to be free and go through life at their own will. They don't want to conform to the social norm and are often people who go through tasks head-on without seeking others for assistance. I believe Mattheo does give off this overall 'tough guy' act. Upon first meeting, you can tell he's very free and independent.

Sun: Scorpio

Ruling Planet: Mars

Scorpios are fiercely loyal which is a trait I’d associate with Mattheo. He would never betray his loved ones and he would never abandon them either. Scorpios are honest, determined, brave, and intuitive. Mattheo doesn’t shy from giving his opinion, he doesn’t back down from a challenge, and he gets what he wants. He pays attention to things around him and keeps a mental note of everything he notices. This is very Scorpio-like behavior. Scorpios are also jealous, possessive, controlling, emotional as fuck, manipulative, calculated, petty, resentful, and they make you jump through hoops for them to open up to you. But the second you mess up? Even once? You’re done. Cut off. Good luck ever getting them to open up again. I feel I don’t have to explain why these traits fit Mattheo.

Moon: Capricorn

Ruling Planet: Saturn

Capricorn Moons are naturally responsible, disciplined, and are very hard workers; but they get in their heads and struggle to show those traits. Capricorn Moons are happiest when they’re succeeding in life so if for some reason they believe they’re failing then they can become very troubled emotionally. I think this fits Mattheo so well. He's so smart and has so much potential, but he doesn't do anything with it. He knows he has no true direction or good purpose in his life (yet) and that knowledge can bring down his mental health. Capricorn Moons remain composed when truly threatened. While Mattheo’s anger is explosive, he becomes very stone-cold when something serious happens. A person with a Capricorn Moon also tends to have a poor relationship with their father. They might have felt a lot of pressure in their relationship and high expectations.

Mercury: Gemini

Ruling Planet: Mercury

These people are curious, social, and quick-witted. I think Mattheo is a very social person when he's in a good mood. He's super charismatic and articulate. Mattheo also has this natural curiosity. He's always doing something and doesn't shy away from an adventure. Someone with this placement can also have issues handling their anger and frequently in arguments will say incredibly hurtful things. They don't mean to or want to say these things, it's just in the heat of the moment. Mattheo's anger can be very explosive and unintentional; meaning he finds it hard to consider feelings other than his own.

Venus: Cancer

Ruling Planet: Moon

I know this is a very 'soft' placement. I think Mattheo is a very sweet person, he just carries a lot of unresolved trauma that covers all that up. Someone with a Venus in Cancer is very obvious about their loyalty. You just know they wouldn't abandon you. They're very nurturing and sensitive. Mattheo is fiercely loyal and even though he may not know how to show it, he does care a lot and he wants to help and take care of the people he loves. These placements can also be very clingy and I think Mattheo is a needy person even if he won't admit it. He would stick to his partner like glue and it would be a little overwhelming. A Cancer Venus can also be fiercely protective and extremely jealous.

Mars: Aries

Ruling Planet: Mars

These people are short-tempered, reckless, impatient, and so competitive. They can be such assholes and they tend to make a lot of mistakes because of how brash they can be. I just think this is very Mattheo. He does not think anything through when he's angry. He attacks first and asks questions later. These people are often very driven, confident, and can be very assertive. This can translate over to their sex life as well. Usually very dominant in the bedroom. Very high stamina. Hard and fast. Passionate. They love some good angry sex.

Chart Ruler: Mars

Mattheo's Chart Ruler is his Mars in Aries. I think this is important to know for Mattheo because he does try to get better, but that angry impulsiveness that comes from his Mars in Aries really shines through.

Blaise Zabini

Rising Sign: Taurus

Ruling Planet: Venus

Taurus risings are known to have a sturdy appearance, nice skin, and attractive facial features. Blaise fits these features in my mind. He's very attractive and presents as very put together. They're very practical and loyal people. I think Blaise has a laid-back nature, but he doesn't appear careless. He gives off this energy that's very straightforward and unwavering. Taurus Risings also appears very graceful and gentle. Blaise seems like someone whom you can approach. He gives off a very trustworthy aura.

Sun Sign: Sagittarius

Ruling Planet: Jupiter

Sagittarius Suns are very passionate people. They're very philosophical and they think and feel things deeply. Blaise is someone who is very outside of himself. He is not the center of the world, the world is his center. He thinks about everything and everyone. Sagittarius Suns are also very adventurous. While I see Blaise as someone who may not outwardly go to parties or big social events, he seems like the kind of guy who would want to see the world. This placement is also known to have an excellent sense of humor and I think Blaise is a naturally funny guy. Negatives? Brutally honest. They're not going to lie to you to make you feel better. They're impatient and very stuck in their ways. Their idea is the best. Also MAJOR commitment issues. IT'S SO CRAZY. A Sagittarius settling down????? And who fits these traits? Blaise.

Moon Sign: Virgo

Ruling Planet: Mercury

Virgo Moons are caring people. It's in their nature and they just want to be there for you. Very intuitive and somehow always know what people need. They mainly like to take care of people by doing things for them. Acts of Service. They have a very gentle nature and are very responsible. Not someone to lash out a whole bunch. Virgo Moons are also very judgmental and they're very bad at opening up when they're upset. They expect perfection, but instead of communicating what their idea of perfection is they just get angry that people can't figure it out on their own. This is very personal in how I specifically see Blaise. I think that he has such an idealistic view of not only himself but also his mother, that anyone who isn't like him or like his mommy just isn't as good as them. In saying that, Virgo Moons are also known to have had very good relationships with their mother. Their mom helped shape them into strong and determined people in terms of personal goals.

Mercury Sign: Pisces

Ruling Planet: Neptune

Those who have their Mercury in Pisces are very intuitive. They can have a deep understanding of the world and the people in it. However, they are very secretive when it comes to this. They're not outwardly trying to get to know you, they're just observing from afar. Blaise notices everything, but no one notices that he does. He doesn't seem like he's paying attention, but he is. These placements also daydream a lot. They might struggle to be practical or serious at times and tend to try to escape the reality around them. I think when Blaise is put under pressure he spaces out and goes into his world or tries to make a joke of the situation. Sometimes it can be really hard for him to stay focused and serious.

Venus Sign: Taurus

A Taurus Venus is very upfront with their feelings. They're honest in how they feel and they expect the same from their partner. This Venus sign also has Taurus which rules Venus meaning love comes easy to them. They can catch feelings very quickly. They're committed to their partner and they love to spoil them and themselves at the same time. Fancy restaurants, spa days, luxury vacations, etc. They want to enjoy the finer things in life and they want to enjoy it with others. They're more likely to get lavish gifts for their friends as well. Blaise's taste is more refined, he doesn't want to take his partner or friends to the club. He prefers more relaxed and 'high-class' activities. These signs can also be stubborn with their love. Since they know they know fall in love easily they tend to take a while to let people in just so that they know they're with someone they fully trust. A Taurus Venus can also have a hard time letting go. If they don't want the relationship to end they'll manipulate the other person into staying with them even if they try to leave. If the relationship becomes toxic they'll embrace it if it means not losing the person they love. Blaise would be careful who he lets in, but he struggles to let go if a relationship isn't good for him. He'll just keep going, even if it hurts him.

Mars Sign: Scorpio

Passionate and persistent. Having your Mars in Scorpio makes you a naturally dedicated person. These people have no problem working towards their personal goals. These placements also have a very hard time handling their anger. They let it fester inside of them until it comes out in petty arguments. Either that or they'll just completely ghost you. Sometimes Blaise struggles to communicate his feelings and would often rather avoid a situation than face it head first. A Scorpio Mars would rather sit in their anger than try to solve it. Sexually? Very passionate. They put their all into whatever they're doing and are extremely indulgent. They want to feel, touch, and enjoy the moment. This sign can go in different directions based on how they perform. Meaning this sign can be rough, soft, dom, sub, etc. You can figure that out through other elements in their chart. The sexual desire thing that comes from a Scorpio Mars is just wanting to enjoy it.

Chart Ruler: Venus

Blaise's Chart Ruler is his Venus in Taurus. This means he's driven by loyalty and love. He likes to take care of those to him, but since he has so much love to give he's very careful about who he lets into his life. He leads with his heart and is at more of a risk of heartbreak. It makes sense for him to be lead by love and compassion despite his trauma or tougher placements.

Draco Malfoy

Rising Sign: Leo

Ruling Planet: Sun

These placements have long and narrow noses followed by very expressive eyes. This part isn't true for every placement, but they typically have blonde hair. Very Draco Malfoy. These placements can be strong-minded and often make their intentions clear. There isn't a lot of guessing that comes from trying to figure out what these placements want, they'll usually tell you or show you outwardly. When they're at their best mentally they can be very generous and confident. They like to take care of people. However, if they're going through a tough time it's a complete switch. They don't care about anyone's feelings but their own. They don't care about remaining a good friend, partner, etc. They will let anyone and everyone down if it's in service of themselves. If they're in a bad mood then everyone is in a bad mood. Draco can be very sweet, but only if he's in the mood to be sweet.

Sun Sign: Gemini

Ruling Planet: Mercury

These people are very charming and witty at their core. They can charm a whole room of people and get them to do exactly what they want. They're highly intelligent and very communicative when it comes to their wants or desires. This goes in with his Rising and Draco overall being very indulgent when it comes to himself and allowing those to see into him. If he's jealous and/or wants to obtain something specific he is going to let everyone know. Very boastful. He wants to be seen succeeding. However, if need be they will hide their true intentions to get what they want. They will use you, manipulate you, and charm you to the highest extent if it'll help them achieve their goals both personally and socially. Draco likes to gloat, but he knows when it's time not to. He knows how to twist things. around to get others to do his bidding and make himself seem like someone whom you should be standing beside.

Moon Sign: Cancer

Ruling Planet: Moon

These placements are protective of the one they love. Very motherly people and will go to far lengths to make sure those they care about are safe. A Cancer Moon can also be super sensitive to things around them. They pick up on shifts in energy very quickly and seem to always know what is wrong. In my mind, Draco is someone who naturally takes care of those in his inner circle. Maybe not in the nicest way, but he still does it. These placements can also have a very hard time taking things too personally. If you hurt their feelings then whatever warmth they once had has been completely erased. It's very easy to offend them. They often will ignore logic and reasoning because they're too focused on their own feelings. Amazing relationships with their mothers. The relationship is filled with a lot of love and devotion, especially on their mom's part. Most likely coddled by their mother.

Mercury Sign: Leo

Ruling Planet: Sun

These signs are very passionate in the way they talk and think. Their voices aren't often monotone and they usually are expressive. They are very confident people because they hold their own opinion in the highest regard. Rejection might upset them, but it won't make them think less of themselves. The only time it will is if it's someone they look up to. Draco’s confidence is reflected on how he feels about himself and I think whenever he talks he commands a lot of attention. A Leo Mercury can be a huge drama queen. The most minuscule thing could happen to them and they are wailing and having a full-blown temper tantrum. They have a very commanding voice, which can be a bit of an annoyance when they're acting out. Draco Malfoy can be such a BABY!

Venus Sign: Taurus

Ruling Planet: Venus

A Taurus Venus is very open about what they expect from their partner. They can be very impatient and don't like to go after people who make them chase them. This placement falls in love very quickly, but won’t always show that. They like to keep their distance to protect themselves. Draco is very cautious when it comes to love. These placements like to spoil the people on their life as well as themselves. Draco likes to live in luxury and his inner circle would also see the benefits of that. Finest restaurants, best clothes, luxury items. Only the best for those they care about.

These placements are very stubborn in the way they love. They grab onto their partner and they don’t let go. Huge attachment issues and will not end the relationship. I think Draco wouldn’t leave someone he cared for, even if they were toxic towards him. He has this unwavering loyalty that can occasionally cause him pain.

Mars Sign: Libra

Ruling Planet: Venus

Having your Mars in Libra can be very hard. Venus is the opposite of Mars and Libras feel this natural need to conform whereas Mars as a whole is all about freedom. This makes someone with a Libra Mars very easy to manipulate. They're not going to fight back, they're going to conform. This placement can also be very secretive and reckless. They're more likely to be unfaithful to their partner or lie to them in some way. They won't feel bad about it because they're extremely arrogant. Draco is very confident and he doesn't let just anyone boss him around. Although, if there is someone who is important to Draco or carries a lot of influence in his life he's not going to stand up to them. He will conform and he'll do whatever task they ask of him, regardless of whether it'll make him a bad person or go against what he wants. However, these placements can also be very romantic and charming. They can easily capture someone's heart if they try to. Very passionate lovers. They like to please their partner and will often let the needs of their partner take charge of whatever they're doing. (i.e. adaptable. rough when they need to be. soft when they need to be. sub/dom when they need to be. Yes, I think Draco is a switch.)

Chart Ruler: Sun

Draco's Chart Ruler is his Sun in Gemini. I think although he has a lot of rather emotional placements, his Gemini Sun can really shine through in helping him stay composed until he's able to break down in his own time. This applies mainly to his deeper emotions.

Lorenzo Berkshire

Rising: Virgo

Ruling Planet: Mercury

They usually have straight noses, prominent cheekbones, and an overall angelic-looking face. Lorenzo Berkshire. Virgo Risings possesses a sharp mind and can pick up on things quickly. I think Enzo is very smart and when he doesn't know something it doesn't take him long to figure it out. They're very aware of their surroundings and the people around them. Enzo can be a little aloof, but I feel like that's only when he's around trusted people. He's not like that right away. Virgo Risings can also be very caring when they want to be and I think Enzo is an asshole, but he still cares for the people he loves at the same time. Virgo Risings are the definition of the 'nice asshole.'

Sun: Aquarius

Ruling Planet: Uranus

An Aquarius Sun is very clever, honest in their opinion, and very confident. They like to push boundaries. I think Enzo has this constant thirst to be different. He wants to emphasize his individuality. He's not some random person in the halls, he's Lorenzo Berkshire. He's confident in his abilities and he's not afraid to say it or show it. He doesn't believe in blending in. This placement also has a major God complex. They become irritated when someone goes against them and sometimes they'll just completely blow them off and disregard their feelings. I think Enzo is the type of guy to do this. These placements can also come across as very detached. They like to be entertained in their conversations. If you're boring them then they don't want to talk to you. Enzo doesn't try to spare people's feelings if he's not interested in them.

Moon: Gemini

Ruling Planet: Mercury

A Gemini Moon thrives in social settings and they can be very chatty. They have this natural humor that captures a crowd. I think Enzo does have this charming side of him that shows through a lot. Gemini Moons exceed in making themselves the most sought-after person in the room. They talk to you in a way that makes you feel desired and lucky that they're even talking to you. Gemini Moons are also very fake. I know that's an annoying Gemini stigma, but it's true. They say what they need to say to get what they want or please who they want. Enzo is a very manipulative person. A lot of his charm comes out when he wants to use it to his advantage. They can be very indecisive, inconsistent, stubborn, and moody. Sometimes Enzo can be a little all over the place. He says something one day and then another thing completely different the next. It all depends on how feels that day. He's super stubborn and overall he's a pretty emotional guy which is very like an Aquarius Moon. This placement has a complicated relationship with their mother. They might have felt they were very busy and sporadic, never really focused on being a mother and more on other tasks.

Mercury: Leo

Ruling Planet: Sun

A Leo Mercury knows how to work a crowd. They’re very expressive and passionate people. They’re bold and yet refined. I think Enzo can be very passionate and yet sophisticated in his speech. He just has a voice that commands your attention and he’s able to make you believe anything he says. He always sounds like he knows best. He sounds believable. People with these placements can also be very arrogant and self-centered. They tend to completely disregard other's feelings and can be huge drama queens. Enzo can get into his head and not think of anyone else around him a lot of the time. He gets overly emotional and creates this whole victim complex that he's not afraid to share with others if it's to his benefit.

Venus: Aries

Ruling Planet: Mars

An Aries Venus is all about the chase. They like the feeling of pursuing someone, but they can get easily bored once actually in a relationship. They need someone who consistently excites them. They’re furthermore very blunt when it comes to expressing their desire. Huge flirts. This placement is a hopeless romantic and they fall in love very quickly, but don’t get too excited because they’re in love with five other people too, and the next day? They’ve already moved on. It’s like you never existed. They won’t even look at you. Enzo is definitely like this. I feel like he obsesses over a new person every five minutes. It’s the same with friendships. They need someone who excites them. They usually befriend interesting or dynamic people. They'll go through friendships so easily if the person begins to bore them. Once they do start to genuinely let someone into their life completely? You’re not leaving. These signs lock you down and they WILL go after anyone and everyone who tries to take you away. Lots of jealousy. Remarkably loyal and will do anything and everything for you.

Mars: Sagittarius

Ruling Planet: Jupiter

Mars in Sagittarius is super passionate and yet indifferent at the same time. They have this list of stuff that they really care about and if it’s not on that list then it doesn’t matter to them. I think Enzo can be very aggressive if someone pisses him off and some things will immediately set him off. Sometimes he can be selective on who he allows to make him angry. He doesn’t take disrespect, but he doesn't let himself give that person strong reactions. He saves that for the serious stuff, a lot of his anger comes off as very cold and detached. I mentioned this in my headcanons, but I think Enzo recognizes that there’s power in being able to upset someone. So with this Mars placement, he’s able to step outside of himself and remains composed so that he’s able to maintain his power. Once again though, if it’s something he truly cares about then it’s explosive. He gets so angry and is very quick-tempered when it comes to the stuff on his list. Sexually? They’re very direct. They tell you what they want and what they want to do. They like exciting sex and aren’t very vanilla at all. Can be MAJOR freaks.

Chart Ruler: Mercury

Enzo's Chart Ruler is his Mercury in Leo. This makes sense for Enzo because he's naturally very charming, alluring, and expressive. He has placements that can be major red flags, but he's able to hide that just through the way he communicates with people. He can talk his way out of anything.

Tom Riddle

Rising Sign: Gemini

Ruling Planet: Mercury

Gemini Risings' are often characterized as being very tall and slender. They're graceful in the way they move and express themselves. This is how I imagine Tom to be. They are very articulate and have a special talent for language. They can pick up on any language very quickly. (Parseltongue) A Gemini Rising is naturally very charming and cunning. They can make a lie sound believable to anyone. You do not want to get on this person's bad side because they will find a way to ruin your life without you even realizing it until it's too late. No one would ever believe you over them. Tom is SO manipulative. This fits him. A Gemini Rising will tend to go through many physical changes during their lifetime and alter their image on numerous occasions. Constantly evolving. 👀

Sun Sign: Capricorn

Ruling Planet: Saturn

These placements are extremely hard workers. They're very ambitious and disciplined; however, they can have a hard time being this way if it's something they don't want to do. They don't want to work hard at something they don't care about. I think Tom works hard, but there’s absolutely no way he’s putting ANY effort into something he doesn’t care about. Not unless doing so will benefit him in some way. These signs are perfectionist and because of that, they can be very negative people. If something isn't exactly how they want it to be then it's really hard to make them happy. Almost impossible. A Capricorn Sun is also extremely loyal, but it takes a while to that point. They don't open up easily, but once they do? Till death do you part.

Moon Sign: Scorpio

Ruling Planet: Mars

A Scorpio Moon has a scary amount of intuition. They know everything and the most terrifying part is that you don't even know how they know everything. Tom is terrifying because he knows everything. He can se into peoples minds and figure out their true intentions. Scorpio Moons are one of the hardest workers. They are determined and do whatever they need to do to get the job done. Whatever they need to do. Very Tom Riddle.

These placements are very passionate. Some would say too passionate. They love deep and hate deeper. Everything they feel is heightened. Very addictive personality and are prone to obsess over everything.

Scorpio Moons have a complicated relationship with their mother. They might reject the notion that they have any sort of feelings towards their mother, but that's not always true. Growing up they might have felt as if their mother was never there for them and that can fester into resentment or anger. Tom pretends not to care about his mom and he pretends to hate her, but really he’s just angry that she didn’t stick around for him.

Mercury Sign: Taurus

Ruling Planet: Venus

Taurus Mercuries are very direct and forward in their way of doing things and how they achieve them. They can be very reliable people when given a task, never failing to accomplish anything they set their mind to. If Tom says he's going to do something then he's going to do it. There aren't any questions about his ability to perform any task he puts his mind to. Tom is someone who is very blunt and direct. This is a very stubborn placement. They do not like to listen to the opinions of others and can react VERY harshly when challenged. A Taurus Venus will often obsess over their social standing. They aren't comfortable being in subordinate positions. They want fame, power, and control. Tom isn't just anyone else and he will stop at nothing to achieve the recognition he believes he deserves.

Venus Sign: Virgo

Ruling Planet: Mercury

Someone with a Virgo Venus can be a very devoted partner. They're very detail-oriented in their relationship and like to make sure everything is perfect. When they do something for their partner they will take preventative measures to make sure everything goes according to plan. These placements are also extremely picky. They have this vision in their head of who their perfect partner is supposed to be and they will not settle for anything less. These placements are comfortable being alone. and would never spend time with someone if they didn't want to. Tom has high standards; not just with his partners, but also with his companionships. He will not settle for less than he deserves and he has no problem expressing that.

Mars Sign: Scorpio

Tom's chart Ruler is his Mercury in Taurus. I think this makes a lot of sense as his main focus and drive are shown through the way he talks and thinks. Also going back to people with that placement wanting to be at the top. Tom is driven by his desire to rule the world. That comes before all else.

Theodore Nott

Rising Sign: Capricorn

Ruling Planet: Saturn

Capricorn Risings usually have a strong bone structure. This shows mainly in their jawline and cheekbones. Their eyes are intense and piercing, making them have a more serious and intimidating look. I would say this matches up pretty well with Theo. This placement thrives in workplace or academic settings and this is something I think fits Theo. He's very smart and he does best in settings where he's able to show that off. Very quick-witted and have a rebuttal for any argument thrown at them. A Capricorn Rising can be a little difficult to approach because of how strong their energy is. They appear very stoic in their initial meetings. They are not someone who shows their emotions, oftentimes remaining very cold towards others. They don't smile or laugh often. The Snake With No Self-Preservation Instincts

When Harry entered Hogwarts at the age of 11, the Sorting Hat was torn between Gryffindor and Slytherin for him. Maybe even Ravenclaw if the Hat was feeling particularly experimental. In the end, the Hat put him in Slytherin, much to the delight of his baba Regulus.

Slytherin won the Hat over by just a small margin. In this universe, Harry was raised not with scorn nor contempt but with an overabundance of love and support. Many of the influential adults in his life inspired him to be as driven and goal-oriented as they are. Additionally, the inclusion of a third, Slytherin-to-the-core parent also influenced Harry's own personal choice in Houses.

Slytherins are also defined by their tendency to stick close to family traditions. Harry was raised completely immersed in his South Indian heritage of Tamil and Telugu and he's very proud of it. Thus he is completely dedicated to preserving and following the cultural and familial traditions he was raised with.

Finally, he has a brilliant and clever mind as well as a knack for leadership (regardless of how much he denies that himself). Growing in a house of love and positivity allowed Harry to fully lean into his gifts instead of focusing on survival. In this universe, Harry was allowed to shine and shine he did.

As per the hierarchy of Slytherin, Harry is naturally the most influential half-blood as the Boy-Who-lived and is considered by his half-blood and Muggleborn yearmates as their leader the same way the Purebloods consider Draco Malfoy theirs.

"You're a bloody Slytherin, why do you lack self-preservation?" "Maybe if you dig your pointy nose into my business some more, you'd find it."

One thing that does set Harry aside from his Slytherin cohorts is his apparent "lack of self-preservation". Sense of self-preservation is a signature Slytherin trait that is far outweighed by Harry's natural "saving people thing" that is apparently in every Potter's genes.

Harry simply doesn't hesitate to lend a hand whenever he sees that he could. He helps even when it is detrimental to himself, which gives him a sort of reputation as one of the more eccentric Slytherins of his year. This resulted in him gaining a close social circle that is composed of several non-Slytherins which is an unusual sight within the House that Keeps to Themselves.

Escaping from Death's Clutches

Harry's main claim to fame is his apparent survival from being hit by the Killing Curse at point blank when he was four years old. The incident was widely publicized by Voldemort himself who had kidnapped Harry as a child after years of failed attempts to pierce through the powerful wards of Nagaraja Hall. Voldemort had wanted to publicly execute Harry as punishment for his parents who had thrice defied him.

This backfired on the Dark Lord as not only did Harry survive his Killing Curse but the knockback from the protective Magics weakened Voldemort enough for a furious Lily Potter to land the killing blow on him, ending the First Wizarding War. Because of this, Harry and Lily share the title Lord Voldemort's Vanquisher, a title that both despise.

Harry sports a seemingly permanent lichtenberg scar above his left eye. According to all the Healers that have examined him, it may very well be the first and only known occurrence of a curse scar borne from being hit and surviving the Killing Curse. The scar runs deeper than it looks and has rendered Harry half-blind in his left eye.

He has little to no clear memories of the incident owing to how traumatic it was but the trauma has left its own imprints in him, namely his scar, partial blindness, and a certain discomfort whenever someone points a wand at him without any warning.

He has been said to be a promising talent in flying, combat magic, and transfiguration. He claims to have an “easier time” at performing wandless magic. He was also personally tutored by his grandmother Euphemia in the art of pearl-based magic.

Excels in the Seeker position but does pretty okay in other positions.

Produced a corporeal Patronus at age 13. His Patronus is an Indian sambar stag which is the same as his appa James

While he’s absolutely brilliant in the kitchen, he unfortunately didn’t inherit Lily’s talent at Potions.

This is because he was taught how to cook before he was taught how to brew. Potions requires precision and accuracy but he’s used to measuring ingredients “by heart, soul, vibes and the voice of his ancestor whispering in his ears”.

He’s surprisingly good at anything related to snakes, be it brewing antivenom potions or working with venom or any snake-sourced parts

Aside from English, Harry is fluent in Tamil and Telugu, and conversational in Sanskrit, Middle Tamil, and Classical Sanskrit. Regulus is teaching him and Madhuri Masri (Egyptian Arabic) and Demotic (a very, very late descendant of Ancient Egyptian).

Childhood friends with Ron Weasley since they were babies through the friendship of Lily and Molly

He is also friends with the rest of the Weasley siblings by extension

Happy birthday my dear @tackytigerfic !

I don't have a gift for you this year, sadly. I have been pretty terrible at gifts this year. So, instead I'm resurrecting this banner of dubious merit that I did for you about 5 years ago lmao, shur why not. I'm all about recycling ♻️

You're a brilliant friend, a gorgeous person, and a very talented writer. It was very difficult to come up with a list of my favourites because you've never written a thing I didn't like. I think a lot of these are ones you maybe don't rec yourself AS much, but they all have a really important place in my heart. For each one I'm going to share a few quotes that I loved.

Silverpoint (E, 8.8k) - This one is so special for me as it's the fic where I felt I got to know Tacky so much better. I felt we worked really well together on it, like symbiosis.

- You whisper something soft and too telling into his skin as you kiss the velvet of his inner thigh, the strung bow of the back of his knee, the eggshell delicacy of his ankle bone - After a while you wonder why, when you're the target of an obsessive, megalomaniacal, all-powerful Dark wizard who has used literal blood magic to reanimate himself back from the dead in order to kill you, all you can bring yourself to care about is the way the clean lines of morning sun kiss the ridge of Malfoy’s jaw as he licks jam off the side of his little finger.

Through the Window, Clear Skies (M, 1.4k) - This one really *altered my brain chemistry* 🤣 as to how I thought about Draco. He's so wonderful in this, Tacky, you got him just right.

- "He always had talked a lot, Harry remembered, and he said as much about himself. I never shut up, I’m a bit much sometimes, with that crease between his brows that showed he was cross about caring too much about it; and he said out it just like that, like it was a fact, as though it was something he’d heard from other people too many times before. But Harry had never had enough of anything, growing up, and privately he thought that a bit much sounded like just right. Not that he knew how to tell Draco that, but Draco seemed to understand anyway." - "They didn't talk about loving each other, of course. Neither of them was good with that sort of thing, and anyway Harry had always been better at doing. And Draco, well Draco didn't trust the word love. It always meant the wrong things, before. He said it once though, when Harry was about to go out in the snow for the papers, and was carelessly muffling himself up to his eyeballs in Draco’s old school scarf. Draco had kissed him on the mouth right through all the layers of green and told him crossly, I love you, and again with another kiss, the outbreath of it muggy through the wool, I love you, Harry, like Harry was somehow at fault. But he sounded like he meant it."

And One To Play (E, 21k) - FWB, wild magic, weather shenanigans, magical theory, brilliant and a bit sleazy meglomaniac villain, HOT COMPETENT DRACO 🚨 (and a gift for me so....)

Tacky's writing in this fic is at times so funny and at times so insightful, and very often heartkicky and also quite a bit hot and romantic. FUNNY: The trouble is, Harry thinks ruefully, that they're not really very good at trying not to have sex again. It's only four days on from the potions lab raid, and they've already fucked again, which was absolutely not the plan. "You're being an unromantic twat, Potter. You can bloody well wait until the Healers have pumped you full of core replenisher and Resanguinis potion and discharged you so that I can take you home, and say it back to you, and then fuck you so slowly you think you're going to cry. Is that clear?" INSIGHTFUL CHARACTERISATIONS: - Harry can see that Malfoy's natural desire for a dramatic build-up is warring with his excited need to tell Harry his news immediately. - He's not Harry's Malfoy without the curl of his expressive mouth, without the glitter of intelligence in the grey eyes, without the constant play of emotions across his face. HOT: - nothing about them has changed, except all those years of friendship have shifted over a bit to allow room for the unfurling of this overwhelming sense of pure want. HEARTKICKY: Harry realised early on that being loved was not a right granted to everyone. So when he does love, it's a fierce and powerful thing. He doesn't compromise with the people he loves 🥺 EXCITING: The descriptions of Harry's wild magic are so good! - when Harry raises his hand, he feels the snap and hum as everything comes together for a moment—his magic, and the sex-warm air in their office, surge together with the bright clarity of a bell chiming. He laughs in delight as he feels it into being, the air around his hand beginning to whip and whirl faster until he's holding a miniature zephyr in his palm - It's vibrating impatiently in the very molecules of the air, desperate to be harnessed. He takes it—takes all of it into himself—until the thrum of it pulses through his bloodstream and knocks at his bones from the inside out. He feels ripe and swollen with power. ROMANCE: "There's only ever going to be one you, Potter. So I'm in, if you're asking"

The Opposite of Hate You (M, 3.9k) ModernLove!Verse, bathing and washing (on brand), toe-touching, heart-to-hearts, biscuits (also on brand)

- Harry thinks about it, about Draco up at the top of the church, hair silvered up in the divine light from the dome, pale and severe and buttoned up from throat to ankles, and he likes it, of course he likes it, but it’s got nothing on the real Draco who’s right here under him, breathing hard, with his stupid bright blue pants shoved down around his thighs, and his hair all tangled up in Harry’s fingers, and his plate of biscuits forgotten on the coffee table. “I like you best like this,” Harry tells him seriously, and Draco takes a shaky breath.

Our Little Life (M, 7.3k) - Lovers in every lifetime! A swooping, sweeping, soaring, surging, skyrocketing stunner of a story... so original and so enchanting. An achingly beautiful story of questioning and realising and longing and inevitability. I fell in love with Tacky's Draco all over again (in his wide brimmed hat, in red lipstick, in a toga and earring), just as Harry/Henri/Henricus/Anraoi did too 😍 not to mention their lushly drawn settings (in a currach, in the trenches, sweaty and sticky in bed)? And all peppered with literary and linguistic and charmingly nerdy Easter eggs?

- He wanted to tell his Malfoy, “I see how things could be for us, I see it all the time,” but he knew that Malfoy wouldn’t get it. So instead he just told Malfoy, “I want you to like me as much as I like you,” and that was finally, grimly, satisfying, because Malfoy went pink and blotchy all of a sudden. - When it came down to it, all they really had to do was learn each other’s bodies, and they had always been skilled at learning each other

Last Offices (M, 6.7k) - MCD, rituals, mourning. Honestly, Tacky had me right from Harry leaving bruises across elegant knobs of pale knuckles through him pressing at Draco's slack useless pulsepoint to stretch the skin out for the razor’s sweep, fingers rasping against the stubble, and they didn't let go until Draco lazily shaking a frying pan, smiling at Harry across the kitchen and Harry crying

- He'd tried to say, “I love you,” no matter that half the Auror squad was there to hear it, only they never really said that to each other, and it felt too weird and final. But then Draco died, on one last pained bubbling futile gasp, and Harry wished he had said it anyway, because anything would have been better than just letting Draco go like that, while choking silently on his own preemptive grief.

The Thing You Shouldn't Do (M, 1.2k) - the second wizarding war, spy!Draco, bruises, lots of good stuff based on those first three things. There is a pattern in Tacky's work of one or or other of them being 'too much' or thinking they're too much. And always, always, they are just exactly 'right' for the other one, and I CAN NOT get enough of this trope. Never will. Also, I think this little fic sparked Tackys FTH in a tiny way, so we must give thanks and exultation where it is due.

- He peeled my fingers off his wrist when I clutched too hard, rubbed at the bracelet of bruises I left (I was always too much when it came to him). - "I always bruise him up, spill the pattern of my desperate fingers across his body until his skin blooms with the story of how much I need him." Relic Radiation (M, 927 words) Interstellar boyfriends, Dad Draco.... do you need any more convincing? Actually gonna just post the comment i left:

There are so many complex feelings in this little piece: that mean selfish part of Harry that can't get past how very fucking much he wants to be the centre of Draco's universe... he knows, he knows, that Draco wants this and needs this and that he should be happy for him and that he's 'being a shit', and yet he feels the thing he wants slipping away, that he's second fiddle in Draco's life, or maybe even third, and that Draco shouldn't want to leave him for so long. And on the flip side we see Draco not rising to any of it, because he knows, he knows that Harry is only saying these things (and that Harry'd actually be horrified to have succeeded in shaming him into not going), and that anyway it's all bullshit because Harry has never EVER been second fiddle.

After dinner Harry and Scorpius went up to the Astronomy Tower still wearing their silly hats, and watched until the distant winking light appeared overhead. The third brightest thing in the sky, Draco had said. It was hard to miss.

Countdown to a Life (E, 3.4k) A gorgeous set of vignettes, structurally beautiful, which embarrassingly I haven't actually commented on but is somehow still so fresh in my mind.

Right well after doing this little exercise, which I thoroughly enjoyed because it meant I got to revisit some of my pal's lovely words, I realise there are LOADS of them I haven't commented on. The fic of mine that has the most hits and kudos is Pages of You, which is wild to me because I only finished it in April. It's Muggle AU and a coming of age story set in the summer of 1980, 20 years after Led by Light, and follows Harry and Draco as they fall in love via the power of the pen. Gay bookshops, gay uncles, short shorts, and Pride marches, oh my!

“Yeah,” Harry breathes, physically deflating as he sinks back down. And he does pick up the wine this time, and he takes a sip, wincing, then gulps down the rest of it. “I was reading one of the magazines in the shop,” he mumbles, staring at the counter. His fidgety fingers find their way back to the plant, digging into it, twisting the leaves harder this time. He’s only slightly aware that he sounds totally miserable. “And there was a personal in there from a boy who was looking to write to someone because he’s closeted and has no one like him to talk to about it. So I wrote to him because. Because. Because—”

Suddenly, Sirius marches around the counter and before Harry has a chance to catch up with what’s happening, he’s being wrapped up in one long arm and pulled in against Sirius’s chest, and there’s a hand wrapped around his head too and his glasses are all squished up against Sirius’s soft, woodsy-smelling t-shirt, and Sirius’s mouth is pressed against the crown of his head.

And Harry is babbling between stuttered, muffled breaths that feel hot against his own face, “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you, I didn’t know how to tell you, I still don’t know how to tell you, I don’t know why, I don’t know, don’t know why I couldn’t—”

“Oh, Harry,” Remus says softly when Harry’s wet rambling dies on his lips, and it’s then that Sirius gives him enough space to move his head back, to look between them. They’re all blurry, the two of them, because his eyes are swimming and his throat feels impossibly tight.

Hidden Gem Number One

The Hollow! Probably because the main "pairing" puts people off? It's a Wolfstar and a (background/hinted at) Drarry fic and takes place five years after Sirius's death and a few years after Harry goes AWOL from Wixen Britain. Remus stumbles across Draco in a bar and they wallow in their shared grief, seeking affection from each other where they've not been able to find it elsewhere.

Because now, it's all so obvious. It makes such glaring sense, and Remus almost wants to kick himself for not figuring it out before.

Harry and Draco.

How close they were at Dora’s party. Perhaps not romantic, not back then, but Draco had attached himself to Harry like Harry had been his shield, and Harry had allowed it. Had perhaps even encouraged it.

“I’m not talking about this,” Draco says in response to Remus’s stunned silence. The words are snippy, with a razor-sharp finality to them.

Remus touches the back of his neck again, his skin still so warm to touch.

So he drinks, quietly, and so does Draco, and when Remus chances another look at him, some of that frost has evaporated. The rockface beneath the glacier is mournful; the lines of Draco’s faultless features are as hard as the earth, but his eyes are dark with a quiet sorrow that he obviously cannot hide.

What did you do, Harry?

Remus doesn’t have much time to ruminate on the question, because suddenly, one of those long-fingered hands is on the back of his own, just above the cuff of his shirtsleeve. Draco slides his thumb back and forth against the edge of Remus’s wrist, sending a bizarre frisson of heat through Remus’s core that he hasn’t felt in—

—years.

Hidden Gem Number Two

I posted Look For Me In The Sun when quite a lot was going on in fandom (lots of amazing fests!) so it got swept under the radar a little. It's one of my newer fics and I really love it - it features werewolf!Draco and animagus!Harry on the run from the Ministry in the north of California.

Their motel room has two beds, each covered with matching patchwork quilts in muted greens, purples, pinks. In the beginning, Draco’s lip used to curl at this sort of thing: the cheap clunky furniture, the generic wall art, the popcorn ceilings, the hefty and well-read bibles stacked on each bedside table. The boxy televisions and dusty vertical blinds, the avocado bathrooms and vases full of fake roses. Now, he heaves his bag onto the spare bed without comment, shucking off his jacket too and dropping it onto the quilt.

His t-shirt has blood on it; just a spot on the chest, barely the width of a thumbprint. Harry hadn’t noticed it before.

“I’m going to take a shower,” Draco announces, rubbing his neck, tilting his head slowly from side to side. The fall of his white-blond hair is limp, a little stringy. Harry can’t imagine the mess of his own wild, black curls.

“Can I join?”

Draco’s weary eyes soften a fraction and he nods.

11 - 'A Winter's Separation'

As Draco went to bed, his feelings were still very mixed. But now that he had time to think and wasn't around her, his plan was coming back to the fore. He was hard on himself, he couldn't believe that he had let his more focused self slip away so much and that he had almost broken the facade. He would have to be even more focused from now on, so that mistakes like that didn't happen again. In the end, the kiss had brought him closer to fulfilling his plan, but if this was something that could happen again, there should be no feelings involved and it should be carefully planned. Having come to that conclusion, he closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.

The morning sun cast a gentle glow across the Hogwarts grounds as (Y/L/N) woke up, her thoughts consumed by the events of the previous night. The memory of the passionate kiss she shared with Malfoy lingered in her mind, fueling a mix of excitement and uncertainty.

As she got ready for the day, (Y/L/N) couldn't help but wonder what this newfound connection with Malfoy meant for their future. The doubts and questions swirled within her, creating a cloud of uncertainty that seemed impossible to escape. However, she needed to get to the Great Hall now, if she still wanted to have breakfast.

As she entered the Great Hall, her gaze scanned the room in search of Malfoy, but he was nowhere to be found. A pang of disappointment tugged at her, but she quickly brushed it aside.

Deciding to join her fellow Slytherins, (Y/L/N) took a seat next to Zabini and Nott. She mustered a smile, trying to shake off the remnants of the awkwardness that had settled between them after the Yule Ball.

"Morning, (Y/N)," Blaise greeted her, offering a friendly nod.

"Good morning, Blaise," (Y/L/N) replied, her tone slightly strained. She hoped her discomfort didn't show too much, but the memory of the confusing conversation she had with Nott still lingered in her mind.

Nott, sitting on the other side of (Y/L/N), seemed to be studying her closely. His gaze was intense, and she couldn't shake the feeling that he was trying to read her thoughts.

"Interesting night at the Yule Ball, wasn't it?" Nott spoke, his voice laced with a hint of curiosity.

(Y/L/N) felt a knot form in her stomach. She knew Nott was trying to make her suspicious of Draco's actions, but she couldn't let his words sway her without concrete evidence. She had to make her own judgments after all and Malfoy was the one, who was there for her when no one else was.

"It was quite an eventful evening," (Y/L/N) replied cautiously, careful not to reveal too much. "But I'm more interested in knowing how your evening went."

At that moment, a Hufflepuff student touched Nott's shoulder as she walked past him. When he turned around, she gave him a very flirtatious smile that was embarrassing at best. He smiled back, obviously faking it, and rolled his eyes in annoyance as he returned to the table. (Y/L/N) just had to chuckle at the thought of Nott having a Hufflepuff girl annoy him to the core.

"Let's just say good old Theo has had quite an eventful evening." Zabini said, clearly teasing Nott and giving him a light slap on the back, which made him look even more annoyed. Now (Y/L/N) burst out laughing and Zabini soon joined in.

The tension between (Y/L/N) and Nott momentarily dissipated as laughter filled the air. It was a welcomed relief from the weighty atmosphere that had settled over the table.

Nott, though still wearing a faint frown, couldn't help but crack a smile at the teasing from Blaise and the shared laughter. The momentary respite allowed (Y/L/N) to relax and momentarily set aside her worries about Malfoy and the complicated situation they found themselves in.

As the laughter subsided, Zabini turned to (Y/L/N) with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "So, (Y/N), care to share any highlights from your evening at the Yule Ball?"

(Y/L/N) felt her cheeks flush with a hint of embarrassment. Blaise's question had taken her by surprise and she had to either quickly talk about something that wasn't the kiss or make up something that hadn't happened. The kiss clearly overshadowed everything else that had happened, so she struggled to think of anything else.

(Y/L/N) took a moment to compose herself, her mind racing to come up with an alternative highlight from the Yule Ball. She couldn't bring herself to fabricate something that hadn't happened, so she decided to divert the attention away from the kiss while still staying truthful.

"Well, one of the highlights for me was seeing all the incredible outfits and robes," she replied, a touch of genuine enthusiasm seeping into her voice. "The effort and creativity that went into them were truly impressive. It was like stepping into a world of enchantment."

Zabini nodded approvingly, seemingly satisfied with her response. "Ah, yes, the fashion extravaganza. It was quite a sight indeed."

Nott, though appearing more engaged in the conversation, couldn't help but interject with a slightly skeptical tone. "Fashion? That's what stood out to you the most?"

(Y/L/N) met his gaze with a hint of defensiveness. "Well, there were many aspects to enjoy at the Yule Ball, and the fashion was just one of them. It's fascinating to see how people express themselves through their choices of attire."

Nott leaned back in his chair, his expression thoughtful. "I suppose you have a point. But I still refuse to believe that this was the thing that struck you most."

(Y/L/N) took a moment to gather her thoughts, now that she had somewhat successfully steered the conversation away from the kiss with Malfoy. However, she couldn't shake off the nagging feeling that Nott's persistent questioning and attempts to sow doubt were not to be taken lightly.

As she ate her breakfast, she found herself stealing glances around the Great Hall, hoping to catch a glimpse of Malfoy. But he remained conspicuously absent, further adding to her unease. Where could he be?

After the last breakfast of the year that (Y/L/N) was able to enjoy at school, it was time to pack her bags for the winter break, which came a few days later this year due to the Yule Ball. While some students chose to stay, as there weren't as many days left in the winter break as there would have been in years without the Yule Ball, quite a few went home to their families to enjoy Christmas. (Y/L/N) remembered most things about her home and her parents, although most of those memories were rather blurry. She thought it might have been good to go home anyway, not just for Christmas in general, but maybe to get some of her memories back.

She soon found herself at this station, waiting for the train that would take her home for the first time since everything had happened. She was still looking for Malfoy, though, as she knew there was no way he wouldn't return to his family for the holidays. But there was still no sign of him.

She boarded the train and took a compartment with Nott and Zabini, hoping she wouldn't have to answer any more questions.

Just when she wasn't expecting Malfoy anymore, he entered the compartment, taking everyone by surprise.

As Malfoy entered the compartment, (Y/L/N) couldn't help but feel a mix of relief and anticipation. She had been searching for him, wondering where he had disappeared to, and now he was standing before her.

Malfoy's usually composed demeanor seemed slightly unsettled, his gaze shifting between (Y/L/N), Nott, and Zabini. There was a tension in the air, as if something had transpired during their absence from each other.

Instead of saying anything, he just took the seat next to (Y/L/N), who just looked at him slightly, while the two boys opposite him had no problem staring at him.

As Malfoy settled into his seat, the silence in the compartment grew more palpable. The curious gazes from Nott and Zabini seemed to intensify, as if they were waiting for an explanation or some sort of revelation.

(Y/L/N) looked at Malfoy, her eyes searching for answers. "Where have you been, Draco?" she finally asked, unable to contain her curiosity any longer.

Draco sighed and ran a hand through his hair, a gesture that betrayed a hint of unease. "I... had some things to take care of," he replied evasively, avoiding direct eye contact with her.

Nott leaned forward, his expression inscrutable. "Care to elaborate?" he asked, his tone laced with suspicion.

"I don't see how that's any of your business, Nott." Malfoy spat at Nott, as it was clear that the tension between them was growing. Malfoy seemed to get more and more annoyed with Nott every time they saw each other. Somehow, (Y/L/N) could even understand that.

Nott leaned back in his seat, a smug smirk playing on his lips. He chuckled lightly, his voice dripping with arrogance. "Well, well, Malfoy. Getting defensive, are we? I guess we'll just have to use our imagination then."

"Oh, stop it, Nott." (Y/L/N) said interrupting the situation before it could get any more tense. Malfoy gave Nott a smug smile as she interrupted the conversation, as this was clearly not to Nott's liking. Meanwhile, (Y/L/N) wondered why Nott was behaving the way he was. She just didn't seem to understand what the growing tension was all about in the first place.

Malfoy and (Y/L/N) exchanged a brief glance, a silent way to thank one another. Malfoy thanking her for being on his side and her thanking him for not escalating this further. This had been the first moment the two of them shared on that day. As Malfoy now even gave her a slight smile, she noticed herself blushing

Zabini, sensing the need to diffuse the situation further, chimed in with a casual remark. "Well, I don't know about you all, but I'm looking forward to a relaxing break at home. No more exams, no more stress. Just good food and relaxation."

Nott, still wearing a faint frown, nodded in agreement. "You're right, Blaise. It will be good to take a break from all the schoolwork and just enjoy some time with family."

(Y/L/N) welcomed the change in topic, grateful for the respite from the underlying tension. She leaned back in her seat, her thoughts returning to the upcoming winter break. Although she was excited to spend time with her family, her mind couldn't help but wander back to Draco and the unresolved feelings between them.

As the train chugged along, the familiar scenery outside the window flew by, leaving (Y/L/N) lost in her thoughts. Draco, too, seemed lost in his own thoughts, occasionally stealing glances at (Y/L/N) when he thought she wasn't looking.

The rest of the train journey continued in relative silence, interrupted only by occasional conversations and the gentle rhythm of the train's wheels on the tracks. Each passing minute brought them closer to the destination, both physically and metaphorically.

Finally, the train pulled into the station, signaling the end of the journey. (Y/L/N), Malfoy, Nott, and Zabini gathered their belongings and stepped onto the platform, greeted by a chilly winter breeze.

Families eagerly awaited their loved ones, their voices filled with excitement and joy. (Y/L/N) spotted her parents among the crowd, and her heart skipped a beat. She couldn't wait to reunite with them and share the holiday season together.

As (Y/L/N) said goodbye to Nott and Zabini, she couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness. Despite everything that had happened, she had felt her friends grow closer to her, and she wondered if they had shared the same bond when she still had her memory.

Malfoy accompanied (Y/L/N) for a few moments, though, to give her a proper farewell for the winter holidays. He followed her to where her parents were standing, but she didn't seem to mind.

As she hugged her parents, they noticed the boy standing behind her. "Now there's a face I've never seen before," her mother said with a warm smile.

"Draco Malfoy, I'm happy to finally meet you" he said as he held out his hand to greet her.

"We're also pleased to finally meet some friends of (Y/N). Especially a Malfoy, of course," her mother said as she greeted the boy. (Y/L/N) didn't know why, but was rather embarrassed by the whole situation. She turned to Malfoy, her heart racing a little faster at the thought of saying goodbye.

"Draco," she began, her voice filled with gratitude and affection, "thank you for everything. I'm glad we got to spend this time together, and I hope we can keep in touch over the break."

Malfoy nodded, his eyes softening as he looked at her. "Of course, (Y/N). I'll definitely send you an owl now and then. We can catch up and maybe even make plans for when we return to Hogwarts."

A small smile played on (Y/L/N)'s lips as she took a step closer to Malfoy, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'll be looking forward to your letters. Take care of yourself, Draco."

He returned her smile, his gaze lingering on her face. "You too, (Y/N). Enjoy your time with your family and have a wonderful holiday."

With a final exchange of glances, (Y/L/N) reluctantly turned to her parents, ready to embark on the next chapter of her break. She hugged Malfoy one last time, cherishing the warmth and familiarity of his presence, before stepping away.

As (Y/L/N) walked hand in hand with her parents, she couldn't help but glance back at Malfoy. Their eyes met, and for a fleeting moment, it felt as if time stood still. But the bustling crowd and the realization of their separate paths snapped her back to reality. She knew it was only 2 weeks, but still, it felt like forever since they have been spending so much time together recently.

Eternal Hearts - CHAPTER 1: The Designation Letter

It was the first hour in the morning, and not any sunrise, but a next day of a birthday type of morning. This date was particularly special for the young wizard that was waking up. Today, at the sweet age of seventeen, Draco Malfoy would receive the fated letter that would carry the name of his future husband and the father of his children. In his mind, there was no doubt that the name in the letter would belong to an amazing alpha, and he was quite sure that his mate would be another man. He was so excited, unable to contain himself. He wanted to jump, to run and maybe even dance. He had been waiting for this letter ever since he was assigned as an omega. His mate would be perfect. He could already picture him, as a kind, spoiling and strong alpha that would treat Draco like the treasure he was. His alpha would love the idea of having a lot of kids, all to spoil and love. He would be strong and brave and all that his parents told him that the blonde deserved.

Draco, still in his sleepwear and with his blonde locks messy from the hours of sleep, paced back and forth in his dormitory, his heart pounding with anticipation. Today was the day, today just in a few minutes, he would receive his designation letter—the letter that would reveal the name of his fated mate, the person he was destined to spend the rest of his life with. It was a momentous occasion for any omega, alpha or even beta, and just the thought of reading his letter and finding out who was his future spouse filled his heart with both excitement and trepidation.

Draco had always known that the day would come when he would receive his designation letter. In fact, his parents made sure that he was ready for it and that he knew that no matter what, his partner should treasure him and love him. Still, that didn't make it any less nerve-wracking. Remember how Draco was talking about butterflies when he was a kid? The beautiful nerves and excitement that would fill his heart when he knew his mate’s name? Yes, well… The butterflies were dead and Draco hated every second of it.

In his hands, there was the letter. The dammed letter that was supposed to change his future for the better. The letter that was supposed to show him the love of his life, the letter that would show him how wonderful life could be with someone that would love him no matter what. This letter was supposed to be so accurate that shouldn’t show any other option than his soulmate. He expected anybody, someone from his own house (Ravenclaw), or Slytherin like his parents, or maybe a hard-working and kind Hufflepuff that would accept that Draco was used to being spoiled and treated like a treasure and would follow suit… Hell! He would even take someone from Gryffindor that was at least a bit study inclined and that would protect him no matter what… but not this Gryffindor, anybody but this one… So, why?

Draco's breath caught in his throat as he read those words once again. This must be some kind of mistake… Probably the ministry just messed up the letters or someone was distracted while working… Because seriously? Ron Weasley? The very thought sent a rush of apprehension coursing through his veins. Sure, Ron was an alpha, a really handsome, tall and strong alpha that would be an amazing mate for any omega but… he was also a Gryffindor and a member of the famous Golden Trio. Besides! They had clashed countless times over the years, their animosity rooted in the rivalry between their houses. So, why? Why did the letter show the name of the one boy who hated him with his whole soul and body?

“Ronald Bilius Weasley”

There, in the middle of the letter, signed almost like a death sentence was the name of the boy who hated him from the moment they met. Draco couldn’t really blame him, since he made sure to mock his family and poor origins from the moment they met. But he couldn’t help it, he was young, barely learning about being more open and accepting and the boy had made fun of his name… and Draco was quite fond of his name. Sure, Ron wasn’t openly hostile towards him, since he was an alpha and Draco an omega and some rules and laws forbade him from harming the blonde boy, but still. He was always so cold, leaving the room as soon as Draco appeared to talk to Hermione about a project or something that they were studying together. Sure, Draco wasn’t the best guy a few years prior, he knew that. But he had changed, he was friends with Hermione, finally accepting that the witch was one of the smartest women in the whole school, and even Harry had forgiven him for being a rightful brat when they were kids.

His mind flooded with doubts and fears. What if Ron actually hated him so much that he wanted nothing to do with having him as a mate? What if he rejected Draco outright? The idea of facing that rejection was unbearable, sure… But if he had to be completely honest, Draco couldn't bear the thought of being forever bound to someone who despised him. Getting rejected would be ten times better than having to live with someone that wanted nothing to do with him.

Determined to confront his fate head-on, Draco made up his mind. He had to know where he stood with Ron. If rejection was inevitable, he needed to face it and move on, even if it meant a life of loneliness. His parents would understand. Maybe they would take him to another country after graduating and would help him find another mate or a way to be able to date and love someone that wasn’t his destined. They would find a way. After all, unlike Ron, his parents loved him with all their hearts and they wouldn’t let Draco waste away in his rejection sadness.

With a mix of apprehension and resolve, Draco took a deep breath, fixed his hair and clothes, made sure to present himself in the best way possible and left his dormitory heading towards the Gryffindor common room. Each step felt heavy, his thoughts consumed by the impending conversation. By the time he was almost at the entrance of the common room -bless Hermione and her idea of Draco picking her up to go study together- he had rehearsed his words in his mind a hundred times, but still, Draco couldn't shake the uncertainty that gnawed at him.

When the blonde wizard arrived at the entrance of the Gryffindor common room, he took a deep breath, gathering his courage. If one of Gryffindor's characteristics was that they were courageous, he understood why he wasn’t one. Dear Merlin, this was difficult. He knocked on the door, his heart pounding in his chest, it almost felt like it was trying to run away and not face what was about to happen. It swung open to reveal a surprised Ron Weasley -because Draco is just that unlucky and it couldn’t be someone else-, who regarded Draco with a mix of curiosity and wariness. Alright, he was bloody handsome…

"Malfoy? What are you doing here?" Ron asked, clearly taken aback by Draco's unexpected presence.

"I... I need to talk to you, Weasley," Draco replied, his voice betraying a hint of vulnerability. Draco mentally cursed himself. A Malfoy, studdering? What was wrong with him? "It's important." He finished looking at the redhead in front of him with a determined expression on his face.

Ron's eyes narrowed, but after a moment's hesitation, he stepped aside, allowing Draco to enter the common room. Draco entered the place, grabbing his arm and looking around for a few seconds before following Ron. They settled into a secluded corner, away from prying eyes and curious ears.

Draco took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves. "Weasley, I received my designation letter today," he began, his voice steady but tinged with apprehension.

Ron's expression hardened, confusion and unease shown on his face, and Draco could sense his defences rising. "And? Who's your mate?" he asked, his tone guarded.

Draco looked into Ron's eyes, searching for any hint of disdain or rejection. Instead, he found a wall, impenetrable and cold. It confirmed Draco's worst fears. Of course, Ron was suspicious, of course, the redhead wasn’t going to show any compassion or kindness towards the blonde git that practically bully him during the first years of their time at Hogwarts.

"It's you, Weasley," Draco said, his voice filled with resignation. "You're my fated mate."

Ron's eyes widened in surprise, a flicker of emotion crossing his face so fast that was almost impossible to identify, but as soon as he showed that reaction, he masked it, going back to that cold and impenetrable wall. Draco couldn't decipher the meaning behind that fleeting expression, but it didn't matter. The coldness in Ron's gaze was enough to confirm Draco's fears.

"I see," Ron said, his voice devoid of warmth, but showing some confusion. "Well, Malfoy, I don’t know what you want from me… Besides, you hate me, don’t you? Why would you want to be part of my family?" Ron said, almost snarking his words while looking at the blonde.

Draco's heart sank, a wave of pain crashing over him. He had expected rejection, but hearing it directly from Ron stung more than he had anticipated. He fought back the tears that threatened to spill from his eyes, unwilling to show any vulnerability in front of his rival. He wanted to scream, he wanted to tell the other boy that he was wrong, that Draco didn’t care about family or anything else, and that he just wanted a mate that loved him. Still, this was what the blonde expected, this obvious rejection and cold words were exactly what he knew was going to happen. So he just took a deep breath, holding back the tears that wanted to spill from his eyes and looked directly at the redhead in front of him.

“Reject me,” Draco said softly, expression void of emotion while he tried his best to maintain everything in order in his head and heart.

“Wh...what?” Ron said, totally surprised by the blonde in front of him. Still, that confusion soon turned cold when the omega’s words sink in. “Then, I don’t want to be your mate, Malfoy…”

"Thank you," Draco replied, his voice barely a whisper. "...then I won't trouble you any further."

Without waiting for a response, Draco turned and walked away, his steps heavy with the weight of his shattered hopes. Draco was the one who decided to break this, he was the one who told Ron to reject him so they could both move on. The walls he had built around his heart grew stronger, shielding him from the pain and disappointment that threatened to consume him.
