Got around to actually doing this and I kinda had to redo these like- 4 or 6 times I’m not even joking 😭💀 but yeah, the next post is either gonna be another broadcast/conversation between vanilla and Amy regarding cream’s “disappearance” or just being cream’s pov on searching for cheese (based off the speed paint I did a few months ago) so again, stay tuned for that and I hope you enjoy these (long ah) character profiles for some of the characters!

Sonic Prime Infected Au

Tw: blood, mild body-horror(?)

After the paradox prism is restored and everyone leaves Nine on the grim he starts to notice some strange affects that using the prism had. It started off small with small itchy areas just under his fur, his mechanical tails sometimes jerking oddly against his wishes. He brushes it off and ignores it trying to be happy in his new home. After a while though he can no longer ignore it. The slight itching turned to pain as shards started to emerge from his skin. He tried his best to figure out what was happening but by then it was too late. His mind affected by both his loneliness and the prism’s power became overpowered and essentially muted, still capable of weak thought but not able to do anything. With his tails having nothing controlling them now, powered by prism energy, they move on their own as his body slowly becomes overtaken with more crystals. It is unknown yet if this condition is contagious.

I've lost motivation to continue the character wasting disease fanfic so I'll just tell you how it ends.

Tails was able to make a cure and save the cartoon world from the disease with the help of the ponies of Equestria. I wanted to get this out of the way so I can start my Seahorse dad au.

So... Total and I were talking for a while over an ask post based on the Terios Fluttershy art and it kinda spiraled into this (I'll make art for the stages later) but presenting...

The "Sonic to MLP Infection AU"!

Cause:

A TV show capable of inflicting a curse to those who watch it. No one knows who created it, but since it was filled with loveable cartoon ponies with magical powers and taught lessons of friendship, it seemed harmless enough.

That was until those who've watched it began to grow sick and slowly transform into a variant of the characters themselves. They are highly contagious but don't actually seem to pose a huge threat to the world.

There is no cure for this curse, though many have attempted quarantining the infected and keeping the show away from them, which doesn't do anything at all.

Stage 1:

Not Contagious

A Mobian would begin to experience small headaches while watching the show, along with an aching feeling in their chest from time to time.

A Mobian would grow attached to the pony character on screen and claim it's their favorite character in the whole show.

This stage often goes unnoticed since it seems very innocuous and innocent enough.

Stage 2:

Not Contagious

A Mobian would feel their headache worsen to a degree before it ceases completely.

A Mobian would begin adopting the behaviors, mannerisms, and hobbies of their favorite pony character

A Mobian would notice new powers flaring up that they now have control over.

A Mobian might begin seeing that their fur is growing much longer than before and at a faster rate.

Stage 3:

Contagious

A Mobian would begin to physically shift into their favorite pony, first starting off with either the eyes or the hair. The eyes may shift color or the hair might grow much longer than normal.

Some mobians might begin feeling an ache on the forehead or back. These are for potential wings or horns, rarely both.

They would become influenced by their new favorite hobbies and do them quite frequently.

Stage 4 [Final Stage]:

Highly Contagious

A Mobian would fully grow their wings or horn into place, their new magic fully unlocked. This process isn't too painful unless you have a low pain tolerance.

With the very few and rare shifts left, that being changes in body color, the entire transformation is complete.

The Mobian would even be granted their own cutie mark, however the mark would only be present on any clothes they'd wear and would fade in and out if they're wearing the outfit or not.
