cast:
me (@mothmute)
E.B. (@blueherin)

I'm gonna be tending the animals for a while, so everybody else can focus on getting their skills up to mastery
Ostrichard hatched!
doin' cheese chores!
I accept a BIG GAME FISHING quest from Mr. Qi!
—first, though, I need to do some submarine fishing! aaand accidentally miss E.B. who wanted to join, oh well.
Folks getting to bed late. "We do like to flirt with danger on the Garbage compound" "that's not all we flirt with 😉"
Winter 17:
Alex made Kimi pancakes! Alex keeps giving Kimi food to make her strong, because he wants her to carry him bridal-style. We all want Kimi to carry us, bridal-style. (She says she will get strong enough to carry all of us at once.)
(I remember Wizard's birthday!)
y'know, cindersap forest has regrown a lot since last time we deforested it......
Caught the Glacierfish Jr.!
Winter 18:
Starmas gift-givers announced! I got Pam, E.B. got Alex, and Kimi got Evelyn
having misplaced my own horse, Frucko, I borrow E.B.'s horse
I catch Mrs. Anglerfish and Son of Crimsonfish!
(Kimi deforests Cindersap forest)
Winter 19:
E.B. wants to open some of the mystery lootboxes, but Clint is nowhere to be found
Pam is also on vacation, allowing us to drive to the desert if we want
We failed fishquest. Kimi blames the ducks.
(Kimi is Possum's favorite)
E.B. tells me I'm tempting fate a lot these days. “that's not all I'm tempting 😉”
Winter 20:
Kimi wonders if we're on Pam's insurance. What insurance?? We had to get the Junimos to fix up the bus!!
Harvey says it's nice to live somewhere as relaxing as Garbage Farm
I deliver eggs to Gus — if I'm being honest, we probably would've gotten more for those eggs if we'd kept 'em.
E.B. finishes shipping the taro root that Caroline asked for!
Winter 21:
Caroline shares the secrets of solar power with all of us
it's a jelly day AND a keg day, I am busy all day
Harvey has nightmares about dragging E.B.'s limp body to the hospital
Elliott has nightmares about me giving him a buzz cut
(Alex never has nightmares, because that requires too many brain cells)
E.B. has been putting bombs in my fridge. “... thanks?” “you're welcome”
Winter 22:
I don't remember the context for this, but: how dare I suggest Kimi could read?
Pizza is missing... (maybe Shane found him, have you checked the mail?)
E.B. walks 10,000 steps, and would walk 10,000 more
Possum gives Kimi a snail!!
meanwhile, I'm mismanaging the cheese production for my own sick purposes, hope you don't mind. (E.B. accuses me of being a cheese deviant.)
Kimi finally finds Pizza: in bed for once in his gd life.
I set up a second water bowl, and get a turtle! Grandpa Jr.!
(I go on a late night stroll through the volcano, but return empty-handed)
Winter 23:
Kimi gets salmonella kissing Grandpa Jr. — “he's beautiful, so much better than the ducks”
E.B. makes rock crab rangoon, Marlon is very pleased.
—oh right at some point I activated the Danger Mines!
We all party up to conquer the mines!
E.B. dies due to disconnection, I die halfway into my bed. RIP I guess
Winter 24:
Finish the chores, and get back to the mines!
(those putrid ghosts inflicting nausea are awful!)
Kimi hits level 10 mining! One step closer to mastery!
Winter 25:
Elliott says something to Kimi about smelling the sea?? Honey, you're on a farm, and it's not even the beach farm.
It's Starmas!!
I give Pam a beer; Maru gives me a pumpkin pie.
Kimi gives Evelyn a flower; George gives her a pink cake. (I'm glad she's getting along with her in-laws!)
E.B. gives Alex an egg.
On learning that E.B.'s secret gift-giver was Kent, Kimi and I both immediately ask if he gave her a bomb. Turns out he gave her wine. ...then we realize it's a DIY molotov cocktail, because of course it'd be a bomb.
Shane wants to give out more pizzas.
Vincent got a “stegosonaurus”
Sam got a "joja basket" — I don't know what that is, but it doesn't sound great.
Winter 26?:
non-canon day
We decide to just have a fancy brunch this time. Drink some of our fancy ancient fruit wine, and eat our artisanal cheeses.
TO-DO
god we've still got so much left to do
need to find more of the jellies, so we can make a smoker
I'm still trying to set up crystalariums and preserves jars and kegs!
still— good garbage, everybody!

cr.
There is no one on this Earth who has endured more misfortune than Kim Namjoon. Namjoon likes to tell himself that he is in a blessed curse. For more than one thousand years, Namjoon's been stuck at the age of seventeen. He has not aged one single bit physically, but his mind has gone through much more than what an average man would experience in his lifetime. Namjoon's known disastrous conflict, suffered through world wars, survived global pandemics and loved only one woman in his life.
That woman is you.
For 1,026 years, Namjoon has been a man of change. He has accustomed himself to more than thousands of cultures around the world, learned hundreds of languages and fought through the perils of social media in the recent twenty-first century. But if one thing hasn't changed at all; that's you.
You're fated to die at the tender age of seventeen—the same age that Namjoon is stuck in for all of eternity. And fate so happens to bring you and Namjoon together every time. Just a week before your death, you are always scheduled to meet this immortal Kim Namjoon. You are to fall in love with him in seven days and convince yourself that you will live with him forever and ever. Then the universe will cruelly take your life.
Namjoon's watched you die many times. Sometimes, he is unable to hold you in his arms when you're at your very last breaths. Other times, he is with you when you die. Fate is random and strikes when Namjoon least expects it.
When you die, Namjoon must wait another decade until you are reborn. Then he must wait another seventeen years until you turn of age. But those first ten years are always the hardest because he knows you do not even exist in the world anymore; the universe feels empty without you. The day you are always born, the fateful, magical day of November 23rd, Namjoon celebrates it by himself and wishes you a happy birthday from afar. He would then wait seventeen years until fate brings the two of you together a week before your death.
Namjoon gets to see you for seven days after waiting for twenty-seven years. It's an unfair deal on his part, but it is also written in the stars somewhere above his reach that you will always fall in love with him. That is the only blessing in this curse.
Sometimes, he has a rocky start with you. The third time you were reborn, Namjoon had accidentally confessed his curse to you. You were confused, weirded-out, astonished. But two days later, you'd forgotten what he told you and became madly in love with the man. Other times, you fall in love with Namjoon from the first glance. It is always a mystery.
In fact, you are always an enigma.
Though your physical features never change, in some way or another, every time Namjoon meets you, you are another person. People are the product of their environment. Namjoon's seen you born as a daughter of a rich businessman, a princess from an obscure country, a prisoner of war, a peasant in the medieval times, and most often a middle-class citizen in hundreds of different countries. Every time, you are a different person with different values.
Before Namjoon was cursed, he thought it had been impossible to love someone through their changes. But fate has proved him wrong enough. After he's seen thirty-seven different versions of you, Namjoon is sure that he would love you no matter who you became. His love for you transcended time and bled into eternity.
He is always hit by a sense of nostalgia or what he likes to call, jamais vu, when he first sees you. He recognizes you, knows you, but you are always unfamiliar to him in the beginning. Even so, in his heart, Namjoon knows he is destined to be with you—even if it were for only seven days in twenty-seven years.
Twenty-seven years is a lot of time. Namjoon has accumulated a lot of strange, time-consuming habits. He counts sheep before he falls asleep every night. He's read every book in the Library of Congress. He learns and masters a new language every few months. He likes to listen to a lot of music to experience the changes between generations first-hand. But most of all, he likes to solve the never-ending Fibonacci Sequence.
0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8... The pattern continues on for eternity and Namjoon finds it amusing. Most people stop before they reach a number of over a million. Namjoon's been adding numbers so large these days, they can fill up a whole document when typed out. Now the digits are too long to plug into a calculator, so he's been adding the numbers himself. The act is reassuring, satisfying, even.
It reminds him that there are things other than his life that are never-ending.
Tumblr media
This year marks your 38th reincarnation. You are a curious, intuitive high-schooler with hopes as big as your eyes and an intellect as sharp as a freshly crafted sword. This time, you are from a privileged upper-middle-class family, born as an only child and pampered with kisses and words of encouragement from your parents. You ask Namjoon a lot of questions.
How am I only meeting you now? Where are you from? Why do you know so much about history? How many languages do you really know? Why do you look so familiar?
Namjoon prefers the shy version of you who comes once in a couple of hundred years. You ask fewer questions when you are timid, and that means there is a smaller chance of Namjoon slipping up and telling you about his curse.
Regardless of your changing personality, any time Namjoon spends with you is a happy time.
But you are extremely persistent this year. It's as if for the first time, you know what Namjoon is dealing with. It's as if you can sense there is something off about him. This reincarnation, you were gifted with an innate talent for reading people, for noticing the infinitesimal details no one else bothered to notice. You are an inquisitive, confident young lady no longer oppressed by a highly patriarchal society. Namjoon isn't used to you being so straightforward, but a lot has changed for the women in society over the years.
You tell him that you want to know why he seems to know you so well. Why he seems so familiar to you. Why he acts like he's seen terrible things in the past. Why he seems to be hiding something from you. You're compelled by him and you don't quite understand why.
"Every time I see you," you say, "I have déjà vu."
"Really?" Namjoon says.
"I just can't put my finger on it," you say. "But I've totally seen you somewhere before. Maybe in my past life?" you joke.
Namjoon smiles understandingly.
"Sometimes, when I look at you, I see a man who's dealt with time itself," you say. "Is that weird? Does that sound weird?" you laugh at yourself. "I don't know. I just get this vibe."
"Are you calling me wise?" Namjoon chuckles.
"Yeah," you say, bluntly. "You hold a lot of knowledge in that snatched head of yours," you snort. "Like, no cap."
Namjoon squints, but smiles. It seems just like yesterday when you had been speaking in medieval English. Now, you're speaking in an increasingly popular dialect dominated by young teenagers who use Twitter religiously. It's interesting to see how time can shape you.
"What kind of knowledge?" Namjoon asks.
"You have a seasoned nuance to your voice," you point out. "And sometimes, when you gaze far off into the distance, you look like you're having war flashbacks."
"Really?" Namjoon laughs. You're not wrong. He often thinks about the wars he's lived through, the atrocities he's faced, though he tries not to show it. Again, you prove yourself to be incredibly observant.
"Yeah," you say. "I've seen you in my dreams before. You were my knight in shining armor when I was a princess..." you hum, closing your eyes as if to recall the memory.
Namjoon remembers that reincarnation. You'd been beheaded after the peasants in your kingdom had rebelled against your parents, the king and queen.
"You were the local farm boy I was in love with as a peasant," you giggle. "I have a lot of wack dreams." Hundreds and hundreds of years ago, it had been true, too. That year, you'd been killed off by the plague.
Never in the 1,026 years that Namjoon's known you have you ever remembered your past encounters with him in any way, shape or form. You're special this year; Namjoon can feel it.
"And you know? The day before we met, I had a dream full of numbers," you confess. "It looked a lot like a pattern." You squint. "If only I could remember the sequence... The numbers were increasing, too."
Shivers run down Namjoon's spine. There's no way. "Did it happen to be the Fibonacci Sequence?" he asks.
"The what?" you say.
"Zero, one, one, two, three, five?" Namjoon says. "You know? That sequence when the next number is found by adding up the two numbers before it?"
"Wait," you say. "I know what the Fibonacci Sequence is... But how did you guess?" you say carefully as if you were testing the waters.
"Um, well..." Namjoon sighs. "It was a lucky guess, I suppose."
"Or we're just soulmates," you giggle.
Something like that, Namjoon thinks.
"We definitely know each other from past lives or something," you declare. "Though I don't remember anything..."
You can't possibly be so casual about this. Don't you know? You're going to die in two days. And he's had to love you through the pain, get over your many deaths...
When Namjoon's silent, you speak again.
"You know, I've had a reoccurring dream my whole life," you say. "I die in this dream every time."
Namjoon jerks his head towards you. "What?"
"It's always after I see you too, Joonie. I die in my dream after I meet you," you say. "All my life, I've loved and hated your face. Do you know what you mean to me? You're like a poisonous true love. I was afraid of the day I would meet you because I knew that I would die shortly after. But when I finally met you in person," you smile, reaching to take his hand in yours, "a lot of that fear washed away. I feel like I met my soulmate. And if, no, when I die, I'll die knowing I don't regret meeting you."
Namjoon is speechless. He finally manages to stutter, "W-What else have you dreamed about?"
"Sometimes I dream in your perspective," you say. "It's lonely... And sad," you whisper. "You're immortal, though you've concluded that after you tried to die many times. Oftentimes, I wake up crying for you."
"God," Namjoon mutters under his breath. "You know everything, don't you?"
You beam. "I guess so."
"You've been waiting for me."
"Well, I always knew we'd meet one day," you confess. "I prepared myself to love you, too, you know? And in the last few years, I've been writing mini letters for you to read after I'm dead and until we meet in my next life," you say. "I wrote 108 so far! Do you think that'll cut it?"
"Y/N..." Namjoon breathes. "Of course that'll cut it. That's the best news I've heard in years."
"Great!" you say, giggling. "I hope they're not too cheesy for you."
Namjoon shakes his head. "No, I have a feeling they'll make me happy for a long time," he answers. "Thank you."
"Be sure to read the first letter on my 18th birthday," you reply, smiling softly. "You'll appreciate it more than at any other time."
It's the first time in his extended life that Namjoon feels like you know more than him.
Tumblr media
Once in millions of Millenniums, people like the 38th reincarnation of you are born. Those who see things they were not there for, those who are clairvoyant, those who are young yet all-knowing.
You even knew how you were going to die in this life, but you'd refused to tell Namjoon. Most times, ignorance is bliss, you'd told him.
On the day of your death, you'd given a box full of letters to Namjoon. Then, you'd taken him out on a final date in your red car. You and Namjoon had both known that this car trip would be the end of your life, but neither of you bothered to meddle with what was destined to be.
It's always 4:44 p.m when it happens. This time, it happened in a busy intersection when the car in front of you had hit a jaywalking pedestrian. You'd screamed, jerking the steering wheel to the right to avoid hitting the vehicle in front of you. But that had caused your car to swerve off the road and flip over, tumbling down the hillside. Namjoon had miraculously survived, of course. But you were dead on the scene.
He's seen you die so many times, but something about that day was particularly worse. Maybe because you knew you were going to die.
And so the depressing cycle starts again.
A few lonely months after your death, Namjoon opens your first letter on your birthday: November 23rd. He hasn't felt this giddy in a very long time.
The envelope is labeled with a large "1," which means the letters are in order. Namjoon carefully opens the crisp envelope, pulling out a folded note. The paper is crisp, so you must have written the letter quite recently.
He takes a deep breath before he unfolds it. When he sees your small, minimalistic handwriting, he breathes out shakily. His hands shake as he grips the letter, and he begins to read.
To the Man in My Dreams (aka Namjoon),
Our love is like a lot of things. But I like to compare it most to the Fibonacci Sequence. We start off at zero. Then, we add on a one. The numbers accumulate as time progresses. The pattern is familiar, but the numbers never repeat. Isn't that literally us?
The me that you know specifically will never happen again. (Trust me, I know.) But you will see girls like me in your eternal life.
Every time you work on your Fibonacci Sequence, think of me, please. And I promise in my next lifetime, you'll find me again. (Though I can't guarantee that I'll remember any of this.) I hope the rest of these letters will keep you company.
You'll like the next Y/N very much, by the way.
Goodbye.
Goodbye, indeed, Namjoon thinks. Until next time.

All you had to do was stay (Colby Brock)
A/N: Hello my dudes!!! It took me forever to post this part and I hope you like it as much as the first one (part 1: Let Her Go), also just letting you know there’s a third one I already started and it’s pretty advanced so I hope it doesn’t take me long to post.
I also have a bunch of little imagines in mind related with these two alswell as things I don’t get to fit into these parts, so don’t be shy and send me some asks about whatever you want if you want us to discuss ideas :)
Warnings: English is not my first language so I’m sorry in advance if I made some mistakes and this part has mostly angst, but also little fluffy flashbacks.
None of them knew how they got to that point, they hadn’t had that much alcohol to blame their actions on it, not like that was something running through their heads as they hungrily kissed each other.
The consequences of them sneaking out from the party and getting into the bathroom to make out heavily weren’t a priority in the state they were in. Colby with his back against the now closed door with (Y/N)’s hands tangled through his hair the same way their lips were while his hands moved down to her legs just to make their way up to her ass where he squeezed hard enough to have her moaning against his lips.
Her moans were like music for Colby’s ears, a sound that ignites a fire inside him no one else can, so when he squeezes her butt a second time and she moans again he can’t wait any longer. With a swift move he picks her up and places her on the counter, making a bunch or hair products fall onto the floor, but they don’t stop, they keep kissing, every kiss leaving them wanting more and more.
But she needed to pull back, she needed a second to breathe. Colby’s lips followed hers as she moved back, finally making eye contact since before they started almost eating each other’s faces. The sight before Colby’s eyes was one he thought he would never see again, her blushed cheeks, eyes filled with lust all for him, her parted - and slightly swollen lips for all the kissing - in need of some air. He was fine with letting her some time to catch her breath, but he needed to feel her and that’s when his lips went down to meet her neck, taking his time to kiss every inch of it. The feeling of Colby’s lips made (Y/N) close her eyes in pleasure, her head instinctively leaning to the other side so she could feel every kiss his soft lips had to offer.
When he bit on her exposed skin the hand she had on his hair automatically closed into a fist, tugging his hair, earning a deep moan from Colby himself, who wrapped the arm he had around her tighter so her body would be completely against his. Her legs wrapped around his waist, letting (Y/N) feel the growing boner inside Colby’s pants.
“Fuck… Colby” was the first thing any of them had said, how many times (Y/N) had thought about being with Colby like that during all the years they had been separated, when she found herself late at night thinking about what would have happened if she had stayed “kiss me” she was still very much out of breath when her other hand moved up to his cheek so he couldn’t waste another second.
(Y/N) took a minute to appreciate the beauty in front of her, his messy hair missing the blue tips - which were her personal favorite - the piercing on his nose that he had changed for a nose ring and it was driving her insane because she never thought he could look even better than he already did and that happy grin plastered on his lips because she had said his name and he didn’t expect it to affect him so much.
Before she could open her mouth his lips locked with hers once again, the feeling of kissing him again being like a drug that made effect right the second she took it and never getting enough of it, never getting enough of Colby.
The temperature in the room was unbearable at that point, there were too many pieces of clothing between them - or at least that was (Y/N) thought when her hands grabbed Colby’s jean jacket neck and pulled from it in an attempt of taking it off from his body. He moved his arms to help her, the jacket falling on the floor with a silent thud as his hands went back to her body, fingers running up her thigh covered legs, making their way all the way up to get under her dress. He gave a gentle squeeze to her hips before dropping his hands down to her ass.
Every part of her body he touched was leaving her more and more out of breath, she felt like that was the closest to heaven she’d ever been – between Colby’s arms while she tries the impossible task of feeling him closer than he already was.
They were so out of everything else that they forgot there was still a party going on outside that bathroom, if they had payed attention they would have heard how someone was banging on the door over the loud music, but the only existing thing in the whole word at that exact moment for (Y/N) was Colby, and for Colby it was (Y/N).
When the door opened letting in a rush of cold air along with the loud music, impossible to miss anymore, both of them turned to see what was going on.
“Col-“ Sam was looking for Colby so desperately that he didn’t think he could be occupied with a girl, but what he didn’t expect was to find him with (Y/N) and it was clear on his face, how his eyes opened wide and he didn’t know how to use English anymore. As fast as he had opened the door he closed it, he had found Colby, much better than how he expected to find him, so he could go back to mind his business and leave the questions for a different moment.
Back Inside the bathroom things felt different, for (Y/N) at least, the high of the moment had vanished as consciousness had come right back to her when she saw Sam’s face.
It was wrong, they shouldn’t be making out in the bathroom and she should have realized sooner.
“I gotta go” Colby couldn’t believe his ears or his eyes when (Y/N) got off the counter, fixing her hair and dress like it was nothing.
“(Y/N) wait” hearing her name coming out of him again, almost in a pleading tone, felt like a dagger to her heart “please”
“Colby this shouldn’t be happening; I have to go” before he could ask her to stay once again she was exiting the bathroom.
There he was again, four years later, watching her leave again right after he had got the smallest bit of her back. It made him mad, furious even, after all his efforts to move on and get over his broken heart he had come back to the start, missing her presence, her skin against his, her lips locked with his, her hands through his hair.
_
(Y/N) leaving four years ago not only affected Colby, it also affected the rest of the friend group they had been building during their time in LA, specially two of her best friends, Kat and Tara.
All of them tried their best to keep in touch despite the distance and the very different time zones, even with Colby. Every time (Y/N) saw some headline about a new goal he had achieved there she was sending him a thoughtful text to congratulate him – not at first though, there was a gap of at least six months where they didn’t want to know anything about the other, it hurt too much.
What didn’t happen was a meeting between the two, meanwhile (Y/N) did meet up with some of their friends when she happened to be in a state they were in.
This lead to the perfect surprise for Kat on her birthday. (Y/N) was coming back to the country after not being there for around a year, she was specifically going to LA, a place she had avoid for the past four years. The comeback on Kat’s birthday was the perfect gift or so that thought Tara and (Y/N) while they planned how to do it.
It was also perfect timing since Kat and Sam had moved into a new house not so long ago and they were thinking about doing a housewarming party. The only thing they didn’t plan was (Y/N) and Colby’s encounter, you could say Kat wasn’t the only one surprised at her birthday.
Although they shared timid ‘hellos’ it was undeniable the existing tension between the two ex-lovers, not a bad one but a huge sexual tension.
The thing is, (Y/N) didn’t use social media – yeah she had an Instagram account, but she couldn’t even remember the last time she had used it. So the reunion was a big surprise for both of them, who had spent so long with the old memories of each other living in their minds.
A good two hours is how long they spend pretending they weren’t checking each other out every time they were in the same room. (Y/N) would bite her lip and look the other way every time Colby smiled at something Jake was saying, or every time he tried to fix his hair – oh how she wished she could be the one running her fingers through those colored locks of hair.
For Colby wasn’t much different, it was hard to look anywhere else when (Y/N) was in his presence, how much he had thought about her, not knowing even how she looked anymore – had she grow her hair or did she cut it? Maybe she dyed it? What about her lips? Did she still used that cherry chopstick that made her lips so inviting to kiss? Now he had all the answers to those questions in front of him and her lips were still very inviting to kiss.
Fast-forward to two hours later, when everyone had already had a couple drinks, music was blasting through the speakers and Colby and (Y/N) had accidentally met with no one else around paying attention to their interactions – that was the key to it, no one was paying attention, which made it feel like it was only the two of them there - after four years of not seeing each other.
Words weren’t needed, ten seconds into intense eye contact was all it took for Colby to lean in and capture her lips into what (Y/N) would describe as an out of this world experience, what was about Colby that made her lose any possible mature reasoning? Why hasn’t she felt everything Colby was making her feel every time she had kissed someone during those four years?
For Colby, going into that kiss, wasn’t a solid conviction. He was expecting to be rejected, so the second he felt (Y/N) kissing him back every doubt he could’ve had just disappeared, he couldn’t think about anything else but the fact that she was back, she was right there, kissing him again – and it felt like the void he had been feeling since she left was being finally filled in.
Three was the number of times he had tried to date anyone again during that period of time and three was the number of times that it had failed because Colby would find himself comparing the girl in front of him with (Y/N) and the things she would do differently. It was an exhausting experience and completely unfair for the girls, who didn’t even know they were competing against (Y/N)’s ghost, so every time Colby ended up braking up with them.
That night, not only was she kissing him back but she also dragged him into the closest room so it could actually be just the two of them, exploring their bodies like they’ve been imagining all that time. That is how they ended up in that bathroom, in Kat and Sam’s new house, just minutes before they were interrupted by Sam, making (Y/N) remove herself from the situation as fast as she had got herself into it.
After their steamy encounter (Y/N) had a plan, not very elaborated – it only consisted in pretending nothing happened. At the end of the day she was only staying in LA until she was told a new destiny she was moving to and no one was forcing her to see Colby again, so it should be easy right? Wrong.
(Y/N)’s comeback needed to be celebrated, or so that thought the friend group that could be considered family at that point. Colby thought about making an excuse to avoid any plan that had to do with (Y/N), he was back at square one, feeling mad about her leaving just like she did when they were 22, and avoiding the situation didn’t look like the most mature option for the now 26 years old.
“Are you going to try and talk to her about it?” Sam couldn’t shut down his curiosity after what he had witnessed only two nights ago.
“I don’t know” it was only the two of them in Colby’s apartment, reason why it was safe to talk about it, even though all of Sam’s questions were irritating Colby a little bit.
“What if she comes up to you, would you talk to her?”
“Sam, I don’t know!” the answer came out sharper than intended, Colby’s nerves were taking the best of him, but he had always been one to quickly realize if he made a mistake “I’m sorry man, this is very stressing”
The blond boy wasn’t blind; he saw Colby’s mood change the second he saw (Y/N) and as someone who had lived firsthand how Colby was affected the first time she left he didn’t appreciate seeing him at that point again.
“I thought you were over her, brother” both of them knew better than that. Colby’s coping mechanism of going on parties every other day of the week and trying to put himself back in the market way too soon didn’t help the recovery at all, because he wasn’t dealing with it, he was just trying to find a distraction, someone who could make him forget about (Y/N) – but that person never appeared.
“I thought so too, until I saw her” his eyes were fixated on the can of beer he was holding, his fingers playing with the tab as his memory went back to two nights ago and how good it felt seeing her beautiful face again, when he had told himself that would never happen again.
“So… you want to go back with her?” that should be an expected question, but also a very impossible one to answer for Colby.
“Dude, how do you expect me to answer that? I feel like I don’t even know her anymore, it’s been four fucking years” but did he want her back? His inner 22 years old was dying to have her back, but he had to stop thinking with that mentality and realize they were different people now.
Not so far away from Colby’s apartment you could find (Y/N) just feeling the exact same way as she tried to find the perfect outfit for the plans they had that night, for some reason she felt the pressure of looking extra good and she didn’t want to admit that reason’s name was Colby.
“Woah, what happened here?” Tara was thrilled to let (Y/N) stay at her apartment the time she was going to be in LA. She refused to let her friend rent an Airbnb when she had a whole empty guest bedroom that was now covered in probably every single piece of clothing (Y/N) owned.
(Y/N) let fall the drees she was holding with a defeated sigh “I don’t have anything to wear”
For a second Tara thought she was kidding, that’s why she chuckled, but when (Y/N) didn’t laugh she realized it wasn’t a joke “well, I see I few things you could wear” Tara picked some of her favorites as she made her way to the bed and sat there raising an eyebrow at her friend “but what did you have in mind?”
That was a trick question, because the truth was (Y/N) didn’t have anything in mind, it just felt as if nothing was good enough.
“I was just trying to find something appropriate when you’re going to meet your ex after making out with him the second you see him again after four years” it was killing her inside, she needed to tell someone and get a different perspective of the situation, that person happened to be Tara.
To say Tara’s jaw dropped wouldn’t be accurate enough, she was completely shocked by the news, eyes wide open as she looked at her friend, who was simply nodding to let her know it wasn’t a joke.
“Oh… my god” Tara took another break to collect her thoughts “did you… did you have sex?”
(Y/N) proceeded to explain to Tara everything that had happened and how she didn’t think Sam had told Kat because if that was the case then (Y/N) would have received a call in the middle of the night from a very confused Katrina.
The funny thing is that, like basically everyone in their friend group, Tara happened to be a big supporter of Colby and (Y/N)’s relationship and when they broke up it felt like all of them were going through a break up.
“You need to talk to him, it’s clear both of you are equally confused and avoiding each other it’s not gonna help” (Y/N) knew Tara was right but it the thing was that she didn’t know what to tell Colby “Call him, right now” Tara was already moving to grab (Y/N)’s phone from her nightstand “you can’t show up tonight with all of this tension between you two, it won’t work out well”
“What am I supposed to say?” (Y/N) refused to grab her phone just yet – yeah she felt like they needed to talk, but about what exactly? “oh I’m sorry I left you and now four years later we almost fuck in a bathroom the second we are left alone”
“Are you sorry for leaving him?” Tara decided to ignore the sex part just yet “because if you are yeah, you should say it” (Y/N) hated how right Tara was, but it took her a few more seconds to show her defeat by getting the phone from her hand.
“Okay, but I’m texting not calling” Tara was smiling amused by how flustered she was getting by just looking for Colby’s contact to text him “We’re meeting in thirty minutes” (Y/N) informed a few texts later, receiving a thumbs up from Tara before she dramatically threw herself on top of all her clothes spread around the floor “now what am I supposed to wear?” (Y/N) whined just as Tara threw her a pair of ripped jeans with one of the many graphic shirts she owned she had grabbed on her way to the bed.
“You’re so dramatic” Tara laughed before leaving the room so (Y/N) could get ready “and remember, you’re there to talk, avoid the bathrooms!” she exclaimed from the other room.
“I hate you!” (Y/N) laughed moving the clothes Tara had thrown her away from her face.
_
Running late wasn’t something that existed in (Y/N)’s dictionary, on the contrary – she would show up ten minutes earlier if not more. Colby knew her, he knew how punctual she was so he went straight to where they had accorded to meet as soon as they set a place and time, which was almost twenty minutes earlier because Rae’s was very close to his apartment.
Rae’s was a place they discovered in one of their first dates, it was a seventy’s looking diner they fell in love with one night when they really wanted some fries and milkshakes after a long and tiring arcade date that finished just because the place was closing and they were the last two people in the place.
While they drove through the quiet streets of LA at two in the morning, the bright and colorful lights of Rae’s diner caught (Y/N)’s eyes. Ever since then they would go there at least once a week for a date night, and maybe out of habit they had settle that place to meet up because it was something they did way too much when they were together.
(Y/N) wasn’t expecting Colby to be so early, there were still ten minutes until the thirty ones they had accorded on the texts. So when she walked through the door and saw him sitting at one of the booths, checking his phone, she froze in place.
That was something she hadn’t stop to do just yet – yes, she had checked him out every chance she had during the party, but now that he didn’t know she was there she had time to really look at him. The maroon beanie he was wearing, because he probably thought his hair looked crazy – and in reality it only made him look ten times cuter. The perfect eyebrows peeking through the strands of hair the beanie didn’t cover. The damn black jean jacket he loved so much – which happened to be the one he was wearing two nights ago. The way he was biting his lip in concentration as he scrolled through his phone with those ringed cool looking fingers that he still has rests of white nail polish he hadn’t completely removed. In just a matter of ten seconds she had completely forgotten what she was doing there, the strong need of calling Tara for help made its way through her body, but she didn’t have time because Carly was calling her.
Of course they had become friends with the owners of the place, they had been regulars after all – that was something hard to erase.
“(Y/N)? Tell me my eyes aren’t lying to me right now!” Carly enthusiasm was enough to catch the attention of the few people that were currently at the diner, including Colby’s, who made brief eye contact with (Y/N) when he heard her name being called, but she was now looking at Carly, which let him time to just appreciate his view.
“It’s really me Carly, did you miss me around?” The old woman’s New Yorker charm was undeniable, making it really easy to get along with her – which was what happened to (Y/N). Many nights she had decided to go to that same diner late at night when studying was driving her crazy and all she needed was a milkshake and some of Carly’s bad jokes.
Colby couldn’t help but smile as he watched (Y/N) and Carly’s interaction, it made his mind go back to all those times they had been in that same situation – when he joked about Carly stealing (Y/N) from him.
Now they were in a much different set, Colby couldn’t joke about (Y/N) being stolen from him because she wasn’t his anymore and it hurt. It hurt to look at her standing there, just as beautiful as always without even trying. Stealing everyone’s hearts, including his.
“Oh Rog would die to be here right now, he won’t believe me when I tell him you came by” Roger was Carly’s husband and co-owner of the diner, he was just as affectionate and enthusiastic as Carly.
“Tell him I said hi and that I’ll be back to visit him while I’m still here” (Y/N) chuckled while she was being squeezed by Carly.
Colby didn’t have a problem with staring at the interaction for a little longer, that meant he had a few more minutes of no worries, but (Y/N) didn’t want to make him wait so she cut it short and made her way to the booth, sitting right in front of him.
“Hi” was all (Y/N) managed to say right away.
“Hey” Colby wasn’t feeling too original either.
“You are early” being punctual wasn’t one of Colby’s strong points, but this situation was different.
“I knew you would be early too”
To say they both hated that, the small talk that didn’t lead to anything but an awkward silence. Specially between them two, they had never been a couple used to do small talks, they would have deep conversations about the weirdest and most random things they could think of. So the situation was more uncomfortable than both of them were expecting.
“Look, Colby” there it was again, his name coming out of her soft lips and now it was clear, with no music interferences or the thought of maybe he was hallucinating “I really just want us to get along without it being awkward, you know? Like just two good friends”
Now that was bullshit, she didn’t want them just to be friends, she wanted her Colby Brock back, but she had to be realistic and assume that wasn’t an option because she would have to leave again at some point in the near future.
“Yeah, I can do good friends” Colby shrugged, trying to not give it too much importance “as long as you don’t try to make out in bathrooms” his cheeky smile was giving away he was just joking, trying to make things less harsh and awkward.
“Hey!” (Y/N) laughed slapping his hand over the table “do I need to remind you who was the one that started it all?”
Colby raised his hands in defense, he didn’t regret any decisions and it showed on the big smile on his face. This whole being friends might not work, but for a few minutes it felt nice for both of them, getting that old spark only the other one could ignite.
“Do you want to go to the arcade?” their future together was uncertain, so Colby wanted to take advantage of the now, that moment he had with her in good terms, and squeeze it until the last minute.
“Don’t we have to meet with the rest?” the original plan was to meet, talk – which (Y/N) thought it was going to be so much worse and would end up poorly – and then head to meet up with the rest. Although she’d much rather spend the rest of the day with only Colby.
“We could just turn off our phones and pretend we lost track of time” that was one of the many reasons why (Y/N) had fallen for Colby so fast, he made little things like that one sound like such an adventure that she couldn’t say no to him and his beautiful blue eyes – she had never had a thing for blue eyes before, but Colby’s were different, every time he smiled with those irresistible dimples of his, the eyes looked like they were trying to tell a million different stories.
_
It actually worked for Colby and (Y/N). For the following weeks if you looked at them you would never doubt they were the best of friends, of course for their friends it was weird – they had only known them in a relationship matter, all of them except for Sam who experienced the short friendship that lead to their soon to be love story.
One thing was clear, they felt like they had found their missing piece again and sometimes they even forgot four years had gone by, four years they missed, no talking, barely texting and an overall distance between them that everyone though it would stay like that for the rest of their days.
Something else was clear too, the looks they gave each other were stronger and more meaningful than the normal looks a couple of just friends give each other. As they had met the improved person the other had become they were falling in love all over again, but who would be the first one to crack and say something about it?

Look! It’s [ BLUE WANG ]. They have been living in [ SOUTH ] Kingsboro for [FOUR YEARS ]. They say the [ TWENTY ONE ] year old can be [IRRESPONSIBLE ] but also [ CHARMING ], but I just think [ SHE ] looks a lot like [ COURTNEY EATON ]. ( Lo, 22, est)
TW: death, drugs, addiction, mental illness, overdose
Bio:
Blue Kora Wang was supposed to have a good life. The ingredients were all there; Two nurturing parents, plenty of money, nice brownstone in North Kingsboro, a wonderful twin sister. But if there’s anything she’s learned in her 21 years, it’s that God loves a good joke.
Her childhood was nice enough. Looking back on it, those years were probably the best of her life. She doesn’t remember everything, but what she does recall most was the love that she felt from her family  Nothing much was wrong back then. She always thought that she was lucky.
Her mother, Georgie, was a music professor and retired harpist. From the time they were 3 years old, she taught her girls how to play and master the harp, both of whom, to her delight, were complete naturals.
Her father, Tamati, was an engineer. He didn’t come from money like his wife did, and always felt the need to prove himself. Working for his money gave him a sense of pride, so he wasn’t home as much in the beginning. But he was a kind man, and had always been Blue’s favorite person.
Her sister, Kaia, was her best friend. Having a twin was like sharing one mind - or one soul. They never fought, they always shared, they had each other and it was always enough. Her life was good - great, even. Until it wasn’t.
One morning, while their mother drove them to school, the girls were stuck by a truck. Blue doesn’t remember much from the accident, only the feeling of holding her sister’s hand before it all went black. She woke up in the hospital with some 15 broken bones and the news that her sister hadn’t survived. She was 13.
The hospital sent her off with a list of opioids to take for her pain. It never really went away. The night terrors didn’t either.
She stayed home from school for about two months after the accident to let her body heal. Her parents never said it, but she know they found it hard to be there. They mourned for two weeks before they both went back to work full time. Blue never held it against them.
She tried to distract herself with the t.v., books, or sleep, but nothing made her feel quite as good as the drugs the doctors had prescribed. All that time alone she spent in bed high out of her mind. She didn’t realize that it was a problem. Or at least, that it would lead to one. But in the time it takes an average person to wean themselves off completely, she was doubling dosages.
When she recovered, finally, she was back in her classes. But everything felt off without the drugs. She was jittery, nervous, irritable, tired, and  had even worse night terrors. But she found a dealer at school, and the rest was history.
By the time she was 16, her parents didn’t really recognize her. She was hanging with a crowd who were no good for her, cut her hair short and dyed it a streaky blonde, and lost her spark that had since been so bright. At this point, she had tried almost every drug at least once. But after a while, she graduated from experimenting to dependence, taking pills every day and doing coke frequently. She knew it was to bury a depression that she’d been running away from for years and nightmares of pain she didn’t want to relive, but she didn’t plan on stopping any time soon. Her parents were scared that they’d lose her too - and soon at that.
The night before her 17th birthday her parents found her unconscious in her bedroom, the product of an accidental overdose. They sent her straight to a rehabilitation center for the summer in hopes that all of this would stop. And it did, for a little while.
In the period where she was clean (and bored out of her mind), she resumed school and even picked up the harp again. It felt good how natural it all came to her. Even she was surprised at how good she was. She poured all of her energy into it as a distraction, and with time even joined a local orchestra. Nothing big or fancy, but enough to get experience and clear her head. Her parents finally felt like they had their little girl back, and it felt good to be doing something that made them proud.
But this progress only lasted for about a year. The relapse hit hard, and she was in and out of programs for a little while. She missed rehearsals and concerts, and had to quit the orchestra.
Her parents divorced not long after. She’d blame God’s sense of humor, but she knows this one is her fault. They were never really the same after the OD. Her mother moved to Westchester to be closer to her parents, and her father moved to South Kingsboro where Blue followed. And that was that.
After graduating at 18 with fairly good grades, and with absolutely no prospects, she started working in diners to make money. Her parents bought her a small apartment in South Kingsboro as a gift, and keep their fingers crossed that she’ll do well by herself. So far so good, but she hasn’t been completely clean. Though, it comforts her to know that her father is only a short drive away if she needs him.
Things were fine for a few years, neither great nor awful, just - fine. She doesn’t hate it here, but she doesn’t love it. Mostly she’s bored, and with Blue, boredom is a dangerous thing.
On the night of her 20th birthday, after a few hours of drinking while out with some friends, someone offered her a pill (of what, she can’t quite remember). On the come up she got an idea that would not leave her. So, she rushed home, completed an entire application to Juilliard’s music program and fell asleep. In the morning she had forgotten the entire thing had happened.
She heard back from them a few months later, asking for an audition. She was shocked and almost didn’t go, but she did and they adored her. A few weeks later, she was accepted. Scared out of her mind, she chose to defer enrollment for the next school year. She still hasn’t told anyone about it.
She’s still working as a waitress. But she can’t help spending her tips on substances that she shouldn’t. She goes to NA meetings regardless of this though, as a promise to her father.
Personality:
She likes to be in the company of other people, and LOVES a good party, but isn’t the most open about her personal life or her problems. The less people know the better in her opinion, but she always gets a little loose lipped when the drugs kick in.
She’s very impulsive and doesn’t ever really think about the consequences of her actions until its too late and she’s in a mess.
She’s fairly friendly and very fun to be around most of the time. She’s got a flirty way about her (she's bi btw) and a wit that make it hard not to like her, but some of it is an act.
Blue can dance on the line of manipulative sometimes. You never really know if she’s smiling because she’s happy or because she wants a little favor.
She’s really self destructive, often intentionally acting against her own best interest even though she knows it’s wrong.
She’s really lonely and really wants the benefits of a lover or a close friend, she just isn’t comfortable with letting people know her on a deeper level.
Summary:
After an accident that killed her sister, Blue became addicted to drugs. After an accidental overdose, she was put in rehab and has been in programs off and on ever since. She’s a talented harpist, and was accepted to Juilliard after an impromptu application submission, but is too scared to go. She lives alone in South Kingsboro and is trying to sort her life out and not go spiraling. She private and doesn’t like to get too close to anyone, but is fun to be around even if she’s a little bit of a mess.
Come plot w me and we can work something out! Im litchrelly™  down for anything luvs like LITCHRELLY ™ anything. Exes on bad terms? Exes on good terms? Bad influences? Friends with benefits? Dealer/ buyer? An almost best friend that Blue constantly screws over because she doesn’t know how to be a good friend? Enemies? Does she know a secret about your char? Do you know a secret about her? Yum give it all and more

50 Questions Tag
I was tagged by @bts-blackpink-bitch about 10 years ago (1 week) and I am finally ready to answer them lol
1. What takes up too much of your time?
Daydreaming about fic possibilities and what I could do with my life if I had the ability to create art.
2. What makes your day better?
Two things: my fiance and laughing.
3. What’s the best thing to happen to you today?
My cat laid on top of me and purred really loud!
4. What fictional place would you like to go to?
One that I have yet to put into writing.

6. Do you have any mental illness?
No clue.
7. Have you ever experienced sleep paralysis?
Yes and it’s terrifying!! I mean, one time I was able to make my head shake, but my fiance ignored my movement because I move in my sleep...so he thought I was asleep...
8. What musician inspired you the most?
I don’t really have just one
9. Have you ever fallen in love?
Yes
10. What’s your dream date?
My dream date is my fiance. HAHA! (It’s true..) 😂
But no, my dream date is being picked up at hotel in a big city <me wearing a very nice dress, my date wearing a tux or suit> and us going out for a ‘night on the town’. We would dine at a 5-star restaurant and then walk around downtown until we came to a romantic place. My date would then ask me to dance even there’s no music because ‘the music is in our hearts'. And then he would take me back to my room and leave me at the door with a searing kiss.
*sigh* I love my fiance, but he would ruin my dream date because he can’t keep a beat to save his life. I’m sure he’d be able to make up for it somehow 😂
11. What do others notice about you?
They tend to notice I have a huge ass. They never really mention anything else that they notice...IF they notice anything else.
12. What is an annoying habit you have?
UM - ALL OF THEM?? I mean, I have so many that it’s hard to name them. Just ask the people around me and they’ll make long lists without saying the same thing as the other. #iannoyeveryone
13. Do you still talk to your first love?
No, but that’s a good thing.
14. How many exes do you have?
Five...and yet, they never took me on a date. #losers😒
15. How many songs are in your playlist?
My largest one has over 600 songs on it...so many genres, so little time.
16. What instruments can you play?
I played the clarinet when I was in high school and the piano before that.
17. What do you have the most pictures of?
Blurry shit because my phone screen gets turned on and then I’m too lazy to delete the pictures. 😬
18. Where would you like to go before you die?
I’m not sure. I’ve always loved traveling, but have never been super passionate about just one place?
19. What is your zodiac?
Gemini
20. Do you relate to it?
Yup. I’m #twinning everyday.
21. What is happiness to you?
Happiness to me is being able to toss away all of my negative thoughts, just for a moment, and focus on something beautiful. It could be the feel of a cool breeze on a warm day. The fluffy white clouds against a light blue sky or speaking the compliments I think instead of just keeping them so myself.
Happiness is something you continuously work towards...and sometimes you have to accept that being content in the moment is the best you’ll get for now. I purposely stop to ‘smell the roses’ and enjoy the little things because everything I know and love is in a balanced state. I want to enjoy the moments I have now so that, when things have shifted and there’s the sense of unbalance, I can look back and draw on those moments. Those little moments are so important to be able to recall so that you can continue to work towards happiness in times of sadness. (Sorry for the mini...rant?)
22. Are you going through anything right now?
Yes. I won’t get too detailed, but back in February I went on emergency hiatus because my dad has CIDP (emergency hiatus post here). He hasn’t had a treatment since February, so his ability to walk and do other things has gradually become much worse. It’s not something that many people have to live with for a long time...which is why I had my happiness rant above. Plus I’ve been trying to get a better job since I graduated from college in December 2018, but practically nobody is hiring. So that’s great.
23. What’s the worst decision you ever made?
There really is no ‘worst decision’ for me. I am who I am today because of all the decisions I have made both good and bad. So, for me to point out my ‘worst decision’ would be to say I have regrets. Which I don’t because I don’t have time for ‘what ifs’ and regrets. I only have time for helping myself and others to better themselves.
24. What’s your favorite store?
Gift shops.
25. What’s your opinion on abortion?
I strongly believe in keeping my political opinions to myself.
26. Do you keep a bucket list?
Mentally, yeah. But I’m forgetful, so it’s ever-changing.
27. Do you have a favorite album?
Yes. Comedown Machine by The Strokes. I bought it because it looked cool and I love every single song.
28. What do you want for your birthday?
I really want to have a full-time job! I also want these BTS Hanahaki Series pins by Wiblash on Instagram!!
29. What are most people’s first impression of you?
People think that I cower at anyone who seems to be an authoritative figure as well as be a ‘yes-man’
30. What age do you seem according to most people?
Everyone has thought I look like I’m either younger or WAY older than I actually am. Everyone also assumes I have kids. And I mean EVERYONE. 😠
31. Where do you keep your phone while you’re sleeping?
On my nightstand to prevent an accidental fire.
32. What word do you say the most?
I say um, well, and like a lot because they make it easier to drag my sentences out when I lose my train of thought.
33. What’s the oldest age you would date?
It’s kind of..besides the point now that I’m getting married, but at one point I ‘dated’ a guy who was almost 10 years older than me. I DODGED A BULLET WITH THAT GUY!! With my experience, I probably wouldn’t pick someone more than 5 years older than me.
34. What’s the youngest age you would date?
I’ve always liked my guys to be slightly younger than me ( my fiance is about 9 months younger than me) and all my exs except the one mentioned in the above question were either the same age as me or a little younger. I wouldn’t date anyone born after 2000. Still doesn’t matter much since I’m getting married.😂
35. What job/career do most people say would suit you?
Retail. But that’s only because I’ve been in customer service so long that I have a lot of mannerisms that I have accidentally brought over into my personal life.
36. What’s your favorite music genre?
I don’t have one.
37. If you could live in any country in the world, where would it be?

Hey everybody… it feels like its been FOREVER since I’ve posted. I have really missed you all… that might sound funny but I love seeing the notifications from readers and reading the comments that others leave… it makes me feel like maybe, just maybe I am helping someone in some way.
I think my last post was on January 30th! I had written a little bit about this pregnancy and some of the surprises, stresses, and worries it has brought with it. We are so blessed to have this little one in our lives and we just can’t wait to meet her!
I also told about some of the unexpected events that had transpired with our new house which we still haven’t officially moved into completely yet although I might spend more time there than I do here right now.
Someone did end up coming out to fix the electrical and plumbing issues but yesterday when I went to use the dishwasher it wouldn’t work… HMMMM???!!! The girls were not thrilled when I told them this news today… lol. I told them we now have a very expensive new dish drying rack!
January was full of ups and downs with the house, an ultrasound, and some other family activities that I wrote about HERE. I stayed pretty busy and tried to get things a little bit more organized… you can read about that in this post… the time spent on getting organized has paid off in some ways as I couldn’t have seen the newest issues that were yet to come.
Our homeschool adventures have been on hold for a couple of weeks as we’ve been focusing on getting the house ready to move in and I’ve been dealing with some new pregnancy-related? health issues.
So where to begin? That’s a good question because SO MUCH has happened. February was such a blur that I can’t even believe it has come and gone already!
Well, let’s start with baby news. We had a doctor’s appointment on Valentine’s which was a bit crazy. Not long after checking in there was a FIRE DRILL! Well, it wasn’t a drill as the alarm had been triggered and the entire four-story medical plaza had to be evacuated!
Guess what floor we were on? Yep, the fourth! I’ve been dealing with a lot of heart palpitations and shortness of breath so walking down four flights of stairs was no fun… then we had to walk back up them when the firefighters cleared the building. I seriously thought I was gonna pass out.
I was still quite winded when the doctor came into the room (we had a new doctor as the previous one NEVER responded to my requests to have my medication refilled!) He was quite nice and we both liked him. We discussed the possibility/probability of C-section… I’ve never had one so it is a little scary to think about. He also had some blood work ordered for my thyroid and a glucose screening done.
The doctor also put in a referral for me to see a cardiologist and one for the baby to have a fetal echocardiogram done as there were concerns from the previous ultrasound.
The following morning, my 43rd birthday!, the doctor called to tell me to quit taking my thyroid medicine because it was too much. He also called in a new prescription for me to start taking later that week. This may or may not have been part of the reason for the heart flutters and shortness of breath which I still have. He also informed me that I had failed the glucose screening so lucky me gets to do the 3-hour screening at my next appointment… YAY!
The glucose screening was done a bit early this time as my last pregnancies have been large babies and the doctor just wants to keep a close eye on this baby and her weight gain… he wants to keep a close eye on the possibility of gestational diabetes as this can cause babies to be quite large as well.
Just a few of my birthday spoils… even little Ms. Priss got a few things that have me so excited to start shopping. Mr. Awesome also bought me several cute maternity shirts as my clothes have been getting a little bit snug. We have also been gifted a beautiful cradle and antique wooden high chair… I will try to walk over and get a picture of them a bit later today.
Since that appointment, I am still having tons of shortness of breath as well as frequent bouts of nausea. I have spent quite a bit of time resting in the recliner or laying on my left side. It is frustrating to not be able to get up and go like I want to do but I know that this phase will not last forever and it is so important to take of myself as I do have this special little blessing growing inside of me and I have to make sure to keep her as safe as I can.
Not being able to do anything without becoming winded has affected my square dancing. I still try my best to attend the dances and on a good night I might dance half a tip but I can’t do much more than that right now. We also did not get to attend the State Convention this year although I had greatly enjoyed it last year. The kiddos did go stay with their big sister and big brother for the weekend so we had a little break nonetheless.
I did have to run a few errands yesterday and at one of those, I was asked if I was trying to keep up with the Duggars and the Bates! Well… if I could get a TV show and make a ton of money… maybe… All jokes aside this will most likely be my last baby… I refuse to say NEVER because I have been proven wrong many times. You just never know what plans God has in store for you and I am constantly AMAZED at the blessings he has bestowed on us and the paths he has led us down so I choose to trust him even when things seem IMPOSSIBLE.
When I have good days I try to do a little bit of batch cooking/freezer cooking and this has saved dinner quite a few times lately. Mr. Awesome has been pretty good about helping out around the house and in the kitchen… even it is just bringing home some pizza or fast food for them to eat… you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes. I try to do my Walmart Grocery Pickup every so often to keep some healthy foods and necessities on hand. Yesterday I did go into the store and I was so exhausted by the time I finished all I wanted was a nap when I got home. You can find lots of Freezer Meal information HERE.

In other news, the house was coming along quickly until I broke the bathtub. It was completely accidental but a blessing in disguise. When Mr. Awesome went to rip out the old tub he fell through the bathroom floor! Yeah… the whole floor was rotted so it was just a matter of time before it became a HUGE issue.
The bathroom has been gutted and the floors have been repaired so now we just have to put the bathroom back together before we can get completely moved in.
The kitchen is 95% completed and it looks so much better than it did before. We are happy with the way it turned out and I have been trying to get it all organized… a little bit at a time. I’ll try to get a post together about the products we used for our kitchen.
We’ve been carrying things over a little at a time as you can see in the pictures above. This makes it easy to get things put away but it is such a slow process. I will be so glad when Mr. Awesome has a couple of free days so he can bring the trailer over and we can load it up with some of the bigger items.
This morning we carried a couple of loads of kitchen things over and we made and ate breakfast at the house… the kids were so excited! I had high hopes of getting quite a bit accomplished today but that idea quickly disappeared when one of the kiddos had a tantrum and meltdown.
As many of you know I have two special needs children who are greatly affected by the moon phases. We have a time change coming along with a full moon that is VERY CLOSE so things have been a bit trying this week and I don’t foresee that next week will be much better.
We ended up putting away the things we had brought over, cleaning up the breakfast mess, and then headed back over to the little house. I thought it might give me a chance to catch you guys up and I also started a pot of tea and put some chicken in the crockpot for dinner. I’ll probably add some sweet and sour sauce to it later and serve it with some rice and steamed broccoli.
We had expected to have our new washer and dryer delivered today but things don’t always go as expected. I got the scheduling call yesterday but they informed me that they had ‘lost’ our dryer! I’m not sure how that happened but they couldn’t locate another one so they have reordered it and we should have them Saturday morning.
I love hanging our clothes out but I will definitely appreciate these new appliances as I will be able to use my little spurts of energy in other areas right now. Mr. Awesome has a clothesline on his ‘Honey Do’ list but that is not at the top of the list right now and I haven’t even really decided where I want to put it.
You might be wondering about what type of washer and dryer we decided on so I’ll tell you a little about them… really I was just not into shopping that day so I let Mr. Awesome lead the decision. He found this Whirpool Load and Go washer that will let me load up to 20 loads of detergent into it and then, we believe, program a wash cycle so that the kids can just push a button to wash their laundry.
I prefer the front loaders right now as they allow the kids to be a little bit more independent in helping with the laundry. This pair was on sale when we bought them so we saved quite a bit of money. We did go ahead and purchase the extended warranty because this was quite an investment to make and we just wanted to make sure that we were covered in the event of an unexpected repair.
I’m sure that I will post some more about the features of this pair as I get to use them and learn more about them. We also like that they have the option to stack them which is something we may consider later on.
Another thing that happened last month was that Mr. William had the opportunity to attend one of the Night To Shine Special Needs Proms hosted by Tim Tebow. He had a blast and is looking forward to going again next year. This is a wonderful event and I encourage everyone to support it if you can.
Well, that about wraps up the past month or so… I hope you have all had a great month and I pray that this coming month is even better for you. I will try my best not to wait so long between posts and I will get to work on the kitchen update post soon.
As always we want to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers and we ask that you continue to keep us in your prayers… talk to you soon!
Life Update: We’re Still Here! Hey everybody... it feels like its been FOREVER since I've posted. I have really missed you all...
