Can I just say: Olaplex is some kinda fuckin witchcraft and I'm almost mad about it
Hair care stuff so rarely lives up to the hype and obv YMMV but doing the no3 stuff immediately post-dying and then every other week or so (plus the "bonding oil" on my ends here and there between washes) makes it so I can run my hands through my hair without it catching and breaking. It doesn't get tangled. It's shiny. Do you know how many times parts of my hair have been bleached lolol
AND IT'S NOT HEAVILY PERFUMED EITHER thank GOD it barely smells like anything at all, hallelujah
I get way more compliments on my hair now, it's wild
Yes that dinky bottle of no3 is $30 but with my hair it lasts like two months or more, so fuck it

are certain lubes better suited for vaginal or anal sex? or are they all the same?
hi anon,
water-based, oil-based, and silicone-based lube are all suitable for either vaginal or anal sex. many people prefer silicone-based lubricants for anal sex because it's so long-lasting and durable, which is helpful when you're working with an orifice that won't naturally lubricate itself. oil-based lubricants are also a no-go with latex condoms, which is relevant for both vaginal and anal sex. beyond that it's all a matter of personal preference!

Silicone Oil Prices, Price Trend, News, Analysis & Forecast
Silicone Oil Prices: During the first quarter of 2024
Silicone oil prices have been subject to fluctuation in recent years due to various factors impacting the global market. Silicone oil, a versatile substance used in a myriad of industries, including cosmetics, healthcare, automotive, and electronics, has seen its price dynamics influenced by supply and demand dynamics, raw material costs, and geopolitical factors.
One of the primary drivers of silicone oil prices is the demand from end-user industries. With diverse applications ranging from lubricants to sealants to medical implants, silicone oil enjoys a broad market demand. As industries expand and innovate, the need for silicone oil grows, putting upward pressure on prices. Conversely, during economic downturns or industry-specific slowdowns, demand may wane, leading to price adjustments.
Raw material costs play a significant role in determining silicone oil prices. Silicones, the primary raw material for silicone oil production, are derived from silicon, a component found in abundance in silica. Variations in the cost of extracting and processing silicon directly impact silicone oil prices. Additionally, other raw materials used in the manufacturing process, such as methyl chloride and dimethyldichlorosilane, contribute to the overall cost structure.

Geopolitical factors can introduce volatility into silicone oil prices. Trade policies, tariffs, and sanctions imposed on major silicone-producing countries can disrupt the global supply chain, leading to price fluctuations. Political instability in regions rich in silicon reserves can also disrupt production and supply, affecting prices in the international market.
Environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives have also begun to influence silicone oil prices. As awareness of environmental issues grows, industries are under pressure to adopt greener practices, including the use of eco-friendly alternatives to traditional silicone oils. This shift towards sustainability may impact the demand for silicone oil and consequently influence its pricing.
Market competition among silicone oil manufacturers also plays a crucial role in price determination. As more companies enter the market, competition intensifies, leading to price wars and competitive pricing strategies. Established players may adjust their pricing strategies to maintain market share, while new entrants may offer lower prices to gain a foothold in the industry.
Global economic trends and currency fluctuations can impact the cost of silicone oil. Exchange rate fluctuations can affect the cost of imported raw materials and finished silicone oil products, leading to price adjustments. Economic booms or recessions in major silicone-consuming regions can also influence demand and, subsequently, prices.
Technological advancements and innovations in silicone oil production processes can impact prices in the long run. Improvements in manufacturing efficiency, yield optimization, and cost-saving innovations can lead to lower production costs, potentially resulting in price reductions for silicone oil products. Conversely, investments in research and development of new silicone oil variants with enhanced properties may lead to premium pricing for specialized products.
In conclusion, silicone oil prices are influenced by a complex interplay of factors, including demand from end-user industries, raw material costs, geopolitical dynamics, environmental regulations, market competition, global economic trends, currency fluctuations, and technological advancements. Understanding these factors is essential for businesses and consumers alike to navigate the dynamic silicone oil market and make informed decisions.

The Significance of Dye Fixing Agents in Textile Industry
Enhanced Color Fastness: By chemically attaching colors to the fabric fibers, dye fixing agents increase the color fastness of textiles that have been dyed. This keeps the colors bright and true for the duration of the garment by stopping the dyes from leaking or fading when washed, rubbed, or exposed to light.
Long-lasting Color Retention: Dye fixing chemicals help textiles retain their original color intensity and brilliance even after repeated launderings or exposure to environmental variables by successfully fixing dyes onto fabric fibers. This guarantees that clothing will maintain its visual impact and aesthetic appeal over time.
Diminished Environmental Impact: By decreasing dye waste and run-off, dye fixing agents help to lessen the environmental impact of textile dyeing operations. Water and energy resources are conserved during the dyeing process when these chemicals improve the attachment of dyes onto fibers, hence reducing the need for unnecessary rinsing and washing.
Better Wash Fastness: Dye fixing chemicals help dyed textiles wash more quickly, keeping the colors vibrant and preventing them from smearing onto other fabrics. This keeps the appearance of the garment intact and stops color migration or staining—especially in textiles with several colors or prints.
Textiles treated with dye fixing agents: Have better stain resistance against typical things including food, drinks, and household chemicals. This increases the general durability and endurance of the fabric and makes clothing easier to clean and maintain, thereby decreasing the possibility of unattractive stains.
Compatibility with a Variety of Fibers: Cotton, wool, polyester, nylon, and other natural and synthetic fibers are among the many fabrics that dye fixing agents work well with. Due to its adaptability, textile producers are able to guarantee uniform coloration and performance by achieving consistent and dependable dye fixing outcomes on a variety of fabric types.
Regulatory Compliance: Dye fixing agents assist textile producers in adhering to strict safety regulations and standards pertaining to textile performance and color fastness. These agents help to produce high-quality and compliant textile goods by making sure dyed textiles meet industry standards for color fastness, durability, and consumer safety.
Consumer happiness: In the end, dye fixing agents are essential for raising consumer happiness since they guarantee that colored textiles keep their color vibrancy, look, and functionality throughout time. Clothes that hold their color and don't fade or bleed are more likely to live up to client expectations and provide long-term value.
