Wang Chuan Feng Hua Lu (忘川风华录) Masterpost
Wang Chuan Feng Hua Lu (忘川风华录) is a Vocal synth (Vocaloid and SynthV) music project. It consists of songs themed around different figures throughout Chinese history. The project is a collaboration between different artists and creatives, with music and videos featuring prominent traditional Chinese elements. The project's title translates to "The Records of Magnificence of the Wangchuan" - In Chinese mythology, "Wangchuan" (or River of Forgetting) is a river in the Underworld that can rid one of their past life's memories, similar to the river Lethe.
A mobile game adaptation has also been developed by NetEast. Unfortunately, I haven't played it so I can't give much insight on it. However, I assume that its premise is similar to that of the idea behind the project as a whole: all these historical figures meeting each other in the Underworld after they died. Maybe.

This blog is where I will be posting everything I feel like I need to say about the songs in this project. A lot of it is lifted from my Twitter account but will be in much more detail. Note that I probably won't touch collab songs, or songs that don't focus solely on the project's own characters.
Disclaimer: I do not speak Chinese, nor am I an expert on Chinese history. Therefore, I cannot reliably translate the lyrics to these songs, nor my words should be taken as gospel. I am merely a nerd gushing about my hyperfixation.

Lets go from thin fabulous ghosts, to buff mumph people from warcraft
Brain wah...
Anyway.
I did a small re-design\interpretation of kings\emperors, because all of them have default standart model (Aside from Lei Shen, he's just "chef kiss")
Qiang - I think the toughest one, cause he is tad bit bland. He was very strict king. Thank you, like all mogu emperors pretty much. So he would stay looking as that boy next door.
Meng - Mmmmm, yeee Meng. The most Majestic of mighty monarchs. One of my favorite ones. Gotta give him that majestic look... and scars that are mostly self inflicted because he is not all here.
Zian - I would say Zian the edge lord. What pisses me off -he and Meng has identical model, while having copletely different character. Meng is a loon, Zian is nightmare incarnated. Will come to spook your sleep paralysis demon. I gave him new robes, because come on, he is a sorcerer.
Subetai - Oh my, this one. He sure oozes personality, by saying all his lines half laughing. And again, he is also blue like Ziana nd Meng. Blizz, seriously you have other colours, why u do this to me? ;w; Well, I gave him that "smug and confident" thing going on
Xin - Jumped straight from loreal commercial. He is quite ... fluffy. Would pet, even if it cost my hand...
Lei shen - Gave him hair. I really didn't wanted to change anyhting. Was tempted to remove that crown of his, cause ... Lets say this is torture.
Shan Bu - The only mogu that has a sin stone as far as I know. Imagine being worse that Thunder king. GJ Shan Bu, that's quite an achievement. Gave him a little more of that loreal hair, because, guess what: he joins the "blue mogu" brigade again.
Kinda planning to work on Stormspeaker Qian, but must not make him look like Xin, because, oh no, same model.

mo forgets their first anniversary :)
prompt by @aotomegane
something was off.
mo guan shan wasn’t exactly sure what this something was but he tian had been acting... weirdly all day.
he was clingier (even now he tian had his arm across his shoulders and his side pressed against his), more smiley (not the usually demonic grin but something softer) and a little quieter (as if he was trying to enjoy something while it lasted).
mo wasn’t sure what to make of it. he tried to rack his brain for something that could have brought about this sudden shift in mood but there was nothing. was it his birthday? nah, his birthday isn’t until [month].
did... did i do something to make him happy?
his brain went quiet, like the strange calm after the departure of a loud bus leaving you behind on an empty street. mo rubbed his forehead as if trying to erase away his thoughts and stared at he tian, visible only through his side eye.
“little mo, is there something on my face?” he tian questioned, despite his closed eyes. how the fuck-? mo jerked in response, moving his increasingly blushing face to look at the weird looking tree in front of him instead.
“shut up! i wasn’t looking at you.”
“baby, i’m your boyfriend. you hold every right to look at me. touch me too, if you want.” he tian flirted, it seemed to come naturally to him... like breathing.
mo scoffed but his red face was a dead give away.
“i mean you’d have to give me something for today, right? i mean i’ll take a kiss for now but we could always go home. your place or mine?”. he tian wiggled his eyebrows.
“what’s today?” mo asked, ignoring the last sentence that the dumbass next to him had just spurted out.
he tian gasped dramatically.
“what?”
“no... no way.” he tian’s voice was “sad”, but simultaneously full of mischief. “you forgot our first anniversary?”
“huh?” mo wasn’t sure what to say.
“you did! you forgot our anniversary!” he tian was starting to get loud and people were starting to look. fucking chicken dick was doing this on purpose. “i thought you cared about me, i guess not!”
“he tian! shut up!”
“oh! now you’re telling me to shut up!” he tian’s voice wasn’t getting any lower. mo’s skin tingled with self-awareness and shoved a hand over he tian’s mouth. or tried to, at least. he tian grasped mo’s wrist and pulled him closer to his chest.
he tian whispered “mo... i’ll shut up if you let me try something tonight.”
mo looked around, everyone was looking at them. “fine! let’s just get out of here!” he said, grabbing he tian’s hand and running towards in the first direction he thought of. he tian’s place.

Sooooo...apparently some people are saying "ack! You can't blame the Jedi or say they were wrong because of the old Extended Universe! That doesn't count now!"
I already responded to this in the OP, but since that is getting very long I'll post something new too. Dude, nobody is citing the EU as a reason the Jedi were wrong. Not overall. While I did give the examples of Jaesa and Ashara, everything else is current canon. It's generally really helpful to know the source material before commenting that something isn't source material or canon.
I'll cite the works below, but just saying:
If we want to talk Extended Universe and Legends, both are actually a hell of a lot kinder to Jedi characters than either the original films/media or Disney canon. In the EU of novels and such that were discarded, the Jedi Order is under the control of Luke Skywalker, who very clearly says "this thing about estranging families is sick and wrong" and cites it as a reason the old Jedi Order was flawed.
Luke in the Extended Universe is the antithesis of what we see in The Mandalorian. Because EU Luke would never make a baby choose between his parent and the Jedi. If anything, current Disney canon is doubling down on the cruelty of the Jedi in pulling children away from their parents and erasing their family ties and emotional attachments.
In Legends, specifically SWTOR, we still have the Jedi being Jedi, but we also have people like Satele Shan and Kira Carsen, who eventually form alliances with Sith, as well as entire factions of grey Force users who are neither Jedi and Sith. Again, that's a hell of a lot kinder overall than the current canon or Lucasfilm.

1. Ahsoka being thrown under the bus by the Jedi Order is the 5th season of Clone Wars.
2. Book of the Jedi is put out by Disney and is thus their canon.
4. Yoda telling Anakin to drop his attachments is in Revenge of the Sith. You know, the canon prequel film.
5. Baby Ludi's story is shown in a Clone Wars episode and is mentioned in some of the advertising for Attack of the Clones, the second prequel film.
6. "In the original trilogy" suggests I'm discussing the original film trilogy which is canon, not EU. And, um, if you have seen the films, I've described the plot of ESB and RotJ.
7. I've already 'works cited' Ludi. Deepa Bilaba is in The Phantom Menace, the canon prequel, and some related media for it. Sar Labooda is in the canon prequel Attack of the Clones.

9. What happens to Ahsoka after being thrown under the bus by the Jedi Order is depicted in the Clone Wars, described in the 2016 novel Ahsoka which is Disney canon.
Again - if you think the Jedi taking babies from their parents, stripping them of their family ties, telling them "there is no emotion" and conscripting them into military and religious service for the rest of their lives is cool, hey, you enjoy the fandom as you wish. That's the source material, after all. You can certainly keep pretending the source material doesn't say that, but it still does. Some of us may take the opinion of old EU Luke Skywalker, though, and think that the Jedi were very wrong to do this.

Bastila Shan had never felt such an oppressive darkness before. Malak and Revan both carried darkness like a shield, but this didn’t touch the evil she felt the moment she stepped off the lift and into Kashyyyk’s Shadowlands. The Wroshyr trees creaked and groaned as they continued their journey to find the next Star Map. Her eyes sought out her companions in the limited light, barely making out the profiles of Revan, Carth, the insufferable droid HK-47, Mission, and the newest member of their crew, the elderly man they’d run into in these very lands: Jolee Bindo.
He was strong in the Force, Bastila could feel it the moment they’d met. But he wasn’t a Jedi, or so he claimed. In fact, he went as far to disavow the Jedi Council. While it irritated her to see how little reverence he had for the Jedi Order, she kept her mouth tightly shut, knowing an attempt to convince him of the good the Jedi did to be a lost cause before she even started.
The forest appeared to grow darker the farther they walked and she wrapped her arms around herself, trying to ward off the uneasy feeling that descended upon her, like a chill that buried itself deep beneath her skin and into her very bones. She couldn’t shake it, no matter how much she tried to, how much she wanted to. It grew within her, a pit that swallowed little pieces of her, day by day.
Was the Dark Side really so hard to resist? She’d thought herself capable of fighting it, but now, standing in the Shadowlands where the dark seemed to thrive, she found that she didn’t have the same faith.
In the distance, the animals that lived in the bowels of the forest were loud. Branches and leaves crushed beneath the feet of the larger ones while the small chirped shrilly. The forest was very much alive in ways that places like Tatooine weren’t.
It was eerie, unnerving, and something she couldn’t wait to be far away from.
A circular clearing in the forest caught Revan’s attention, if her pause was any indication. The former Sith had been spoiling for a fight since she’d seen what Czerka had done to the Wookies. While they were unlikely to run into any of Czerka’s people in this particular spot, Bastila couldn’t help agreeing that ridding the Wookies of the slavers would be a righteous quest.
“Anyone else think this screams ‘trap’?” Mission’s voice came from somewhere to Bastila’s left. “Because it looks like a trap.”
“I agree.” Bastila said, taking a step after Revan, hoping to head her off before she got them into something they couldn’t get themselves out of. “We should be cautious.”
Before she had even finished her sentence, the ground beneath her feet shook, nearly knocking her to the muddy earth. When she regained her balance and searched the dreary darkness for Revan, she was unsurprised to find that the woman had pulled her sabers from her belt, their green glow reflecting the same color in her eyes.
“Observation: Master, I think we found the fight you wanted.”
Revan’s teeth flashed in a feral grin. “I’d say so, HK.”
Carth shouted something from behind her, but before she could process his words, something came crashing through the trees and into the clearing. Something alive and angry.
The creature wasn’t as enormous as the rancor that Revan and Carth had described on Taris, but it was smarter, faster, with massive claws that swiped at Revan the moment it saw her.
“Terentatek!” Jolee yelled, pulling his own saber from his belt. Its blue glow, along with Revan’s green, helped to keep Bastila aware of where they stood in the fight. Her own lightsaber burned yellow against the dark like a beacon.
Twirling the dualsaber in her hands, Bastila tried to find an opening. While slower than a Jedi, the creature fed on Force users and there were three of them surrounding it. Its focus was on Revan at the moment, but that could easily change.
As much as she hated to admit it, bringing the Mandalorian along would have probably been a wise choice.
One that, unfortunately, they hadn’t made.
Revan ducked another swipe of the creature’s deadly claws, the attack putting the terentatek off balance. Opportunity pushed her to throw one of her sabers, the Force flinging it farther and harder than she could by sheer physical strength alone. It bounced off the creature’s hide, leaving it unmarked as the saber returned to its owner.
“Be careful of its claws, kid.” Jolee was circling the creature’s other side, opposite of where Revan was. “They’re poisonous.”
Bastila had situated herself at an angle adjacent to where both Jolee and Revan were, taking quick steps to keep out of range of the claws. The monster attempted to swipe at one of the Jedi before swiveling around to one of the others, its rage palpable. The darkness she felt was strong in this spot and Bastila immediately knew that most of it was coming from the terentatek. It was a creature of Sith alchemy.
An ear splitting roar erupted from its throat and Bastila had to resist throwing her hands over her ears.
Carth, Mission, and the droid were set up farther back from the fight, using their blasters to distract the creature whenever it got too close to one of them. It worked for a few minutes: a Jedi would attempt to wound the terentatek and when it turned to fight back, the blasters would keep it from approaching too closely. But the beast caught on quickly.
Ignoring the blaster fire on the next round, the creature stomped forward, shaking the ground with each step as it approached Bastila. Her heart pounded in her throat, a very real fear springing up as she realized this creature could easily rip her apart.
“Bastila!” Carth shouted from behind her.
She ducked another swipe and rolled out of the terentatek’s path, but it was quicker this time around. It spun just as she returned to her feet, brandishing the lightsaber defensively in front of her. Another roar and the monster bounded forward, head down and tusks exposed.
She had nowhere to go.
For all of the confidence she had in her skills, for all of her pride in the things she’d accomplished… it would all be for nothing when she was left as a smear on the floor of the Kashyyyk forests. The lightsaber couldn’t save her now, and neither could her Force powers.
Bastila was thrown to the ground, landing hard against the cracked mud and rocks. It knocked the air from lungs, the lightsaber skidding across the dirt a few feet away. The golden glow of her saber abruptly disappeared, leaving her in darkness.
Hands roughly shoved at her arm. “Go!”
She barely caught a glimpse of Revan as she stood, facing the beast. A new sort of terror pulsed through Bastila at the sight. Without Revan, the search for the Star Maps would come to an end, but worse than that, the fight against Malak would be lost. The Sith would win.
Yet the woman didn’t know that. She had no idea how important she was.
“Wait!” Bastila tried to call out, but it was too late.
Revan raised her lightsabers in an attempt to slice through the creature’s thick arm, but it did nothing. No wound cutting through the beast’s thick skin, no blood seeping to the muddy ground, no acrid smell of burnt hair and cauterized flesh.With a rage that burned Bastila through the Force, the terentatek lunged at Revan, who tried to throw herself off the monster’s path. But she wasn’t quick enough. Its claws closed around her body, lifting her from the ground.
She struggled, but nothing would break the hold on its grip.
It must feel the power swirling within her.
With a thunderous bellow, it snapped its jaws, venom dripping from its sharp curved teeth.
Any normal person would’ve been terrified, despairing at the thought of their imminent and gory death. But Revan, however, was no normal person.
“I think someone might be hungry.” She said, smiling up at the monster.
The terentatek tightened its hold on Revan and she wheezed, her ribs being crushed under the massive force. Bastila stood as fast as her feet would let her, her lungs burning as she tried to breathe past the terror that seized her.
Then someone moved out of the corner of her eye.
“Eat this, poodoo breath!” Mission shouted, pulling a pair of grenades from her pack.
They soared through the air, blinking red in the dark. Even with little air squeezing through the monster’s iron grip to reach her lungs, Revan managed to lift her hand slightly, using the Force to send the grenades into the open maw of the beast. The grenades hit the back of the terentatek’s throat and it dropped her to the ground, choking on the foreign object.
Revan managed to orient herself to minimize the impact, her side colliding with the hard ground instead of her lower body. Such a drop would’ve most likely broken her legs had she landed on them.
The sound she made when she hit the ground, however, was definitely full of agony.
The terentatek clawed at its throat, struggling to get at the grenades lodged in its windpipe, to no avail.
The explosion was contained within its body, but its pained screech sent a ripple through the Force.
HK-47 ran in front of Revan’s prone form, lifting his rifle. “Exclamation: Die!”
The droid, Carth, and Mission concentrated fire on the terentatek’s open mouth, turning its insides into something resembling the pulp of a jogan fruit. With one last guttural noise, the creature fell into a heap.
Now that the danger had finally passed, Carth hurried to Revan’s side, a medpac ready in case she needed it. He reached her at the same time Bastila did. As he knelt, holding the kolto injector in his hands, he shook his head, taking stock of her injuries with a quick glance. “You’re crazy, sister.”
Revan laughed between coughs as her lungs filled back up with oxygen. “Remind - me to - not - do that - again.”
Bastila knelt at the woman’s side, feeling grim at the reckless actions of someone who was not only a nuisance, but somehow a friend as well. “ What were you thinking? You could’ve been killed.”
Revan raised an eyebrow at the statement. “Oh? Never crossed my mind.”
The sound of HK-47’s hydraulics were the only thing that kept Bastila from snapping at her. “Statement: Quick thinking, Master. Perhaps it will think twice before attacking a Jedi again.”
Ignoring the droid, Bastila glanced at Carth. “Is she going to be alright?”
“Scans say a few broken ribs, maybe some internal bleeding.” He tucked the scanner into his bag, peeking at Revan with a frown. “I can’t heal that here.”
“I can help with that.” Jolee murmured, settling next to them. Hands hovering over Revan’s body, a golden glow lit the darkness. Force healing flew out of Jolee and into Revan, mending her wounds both inside and out. It took only a few minutes to completely heal her and when she was back on her feet, that carefree smile was on her face once again. It might’ve been infuriating if Bastila’s mind wasn’t elsewhere.
This would be the first of many near misses in the next few hours. With a sigh, Bastila relented. It was useless to fight such a fierce force as the woman in front of her. “Now that that is taken care of, we should hurry and find the Star Map. I wish to be as far from this place as soon as possible.”
None of her companions bothered to respond, all silently agreeing with her words as they continued on, silence falling on them in the darkness.

No you know what I feel like I have to map this out now, because I’ve been informed that my vampire phase was Not Normal so I’m wondering if anyone else here on the Not Normal Website had something similar:
I started out utterly terrified of vampires. Series of nightmares as a young kid, watching a single scary moment of an episode of Buffy (where she wasn’t even fighting a vampire, I don’t think, just having a conversation with Willow, turned around and killed something scary, went back to her conversation), the Hey Arnold episode where they thought the hillbilly kid was a vampire and then he was bc Halloween episode scared me, it was a Thing. Idk.
Age thirteen, I pick up “In the Forest of the Night” by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. She wrote it when SHE was thirteen. I felt immediate kinship. And fell in love with the story itself. And subsequently vampires. I devoured her entire body of work at the time, and kept up with it for a while. I thought she was evocative and creative and original with her world building.
Next: Cirque du Freak by Darren Shan, which I saw another kid on the bus reading before I had the courage to approach vampire fiction but the title stuck in my mind. That was. A trip. Got especially weird at the end; saw echoes of it in the Critical Role Campaign 2 fight against the giant baby head creature that unsettled me more than the actual fight did. Overall an unusual experience that I think I want to let rest in my teenage years forever actually.
Then, Angel. Because Buffy was over, my friends were obsessed with Joss Whedon, and Angel aired right after dinner and sometimes my family watched it with me. It was entertaining. Then the stuff with Fred happened and I lost enthusiasm for it. But the stuff with Connor and Cordelia was…particularly impactful, I would say.
Twilight was a huge part of it but it was also pretty much the last piece of vampire fiction I read and retained in any way. Interview with the Vampire and Dracula were both attempted, and I liked Interview well enough, but I wasn’t quite ready for Dracula and didn’t retain it. In my adult years I’ve read a few more vampire books (Fred the Vampire Accountant, The Reformed Vampire Support Group), but. Can’t really fight the formative years, and here they are.

Elementary, Watson
As it turned out, Johnny was more pissed than I thought since, once recess ended, he decided to take up his old spot next to Gibsie.
Niamh didn't question me when she found me sitting next to her, and I was grateful for it. My head was reeling from my previous confrontation with Johnny, and my stomach was aching – probably because I hadn't eaten anything since last night.
At one point the rumbling of my stomach got so loud that I was pretty sure Niamh heard it too, since not five minutes later she proceeded to take out of her backpack a protein bar and handed it to me. Too worn down by hunger to let my pride get in the way, I took the bar and basically devoured it.
The rest of the day went by without any hitch, except for the fact that Johnny Kavanagh refused to look at me. While once he would have smiled when we passed each other in the hallway and been amused by my returning glare, now he passed straight past me without giving me so much as a glance.
Making my peace with the fact that I had messed up, I got out of school and headed for the bus stop, deciding it would be better to stay there and avoid Gibsie, who was sure to ask me about what happened between him and his captain.
A couple of hours later I finally arrived home and decided to just try and chill on the couch, however these plans were interrupted when instead of Joey or any of my siblings on the couch relaxing, I saw no one other than Aoife Molloy. Great, I was in a mood for a reunion.
"Hey Connor." She mumbled.
"Fuck you, Molloy." I said, raising my middle finger.
She was certainly going to say something, but deciding I had done enough damage to my relationships today I decided to run and go to my room. If I stayed I would surely say something I would regret, not to mention she was going to leave any minute to go out with Joey and I had a feeling the discussion we needed to have would take a lot more time.
"Hi, Shan. How are you?" I asked Shannon once I got to our room.
"I'm fine, I don't know why everyone's so worried." She spoke. "I just want to go back to school."
"And you will, on Monday, when you've rested another couple of days." I replied.
"I've already lost so much time, I'll never catch up with my classes."
"It's only the first week of school, I'm sure you'll be fine."
"I don't even know what happened while I was away, Dad broke my phone, so I have no way of contacting my friends." She emphasized.
"Your friends talked to me and they know that you're fine." I rolled my eyes. "They asked me earlier this week why you weren't coming and I told them that you were sick."
"Why didn't you tell them the truth?" she asked. "I thought you couldn't stand Johnny Kavanagh, this would have been a good way to make some damage to his reputation."
"Because I had a feeling that you wouldn't have liked it if I let them know that you accidentally flashed the rugby team on your first day of school." I winked at her.
"Johnny promised nobody would say a word about that."
"And so far, he has kept his word. As long as he makes his teammates keep their mouth shut, I will not say a word about the pitch incident."
"Is that what we're calling it now? The Pitch Incident" she whined.
"Okay, Smartass. Got any suggestions then?" I mocked.
After a few seconds of silence we both burst into laughter. I wasn't sure if we were laughing more at our antics or at the situation we found ourselves in.
It was a good couple of minutes before we managed to calm down enough to have a somewhat coherent conversation.
"Come on Shan, you know you can tell me anything." I said still laughing. "You have to tell me if anyone has caught your eye."
"I was at the school for a grand total of two hours, who would I have seen?" She shot back.
"Love always finds a way." I exclaimed.
"Like it has with you and Johnny?"
"Wow, where did that come from. Did the ball hit you harder than we thought?"
"Oh, come on. All you have done this whole week was talk about him. Johnny this and Johnny that, listening to you rant about him was exhausting."
"Because he's infuriating, not because I like him." I shouted, outraged by the very assumption.
"And what about the tickets he's given you?" she asked slyly.
"Bribery. He gave me those so I wouldn't tell people he was a pervert for ripping your skirt. Besides you got a letter too." I stated plainly.
"Mine was money to compensate Mam for the uniform. Not a gift."
"It wasn't a gift!" I cried.
"Stop trying to deflect, I know someone has caught your eye in that school." I said, suddenly remembering what we had been talking about. "And I'm going to find out who."
"Sure you will, Sherlock."
"Are you doubting me, Watson?"
Not knowing how to respond, Shannon opted to throw a pillow at my head, which I easily avoided.

I've noticed on online Qimen forums that some people create a Qimen chart and post seeking divination. Many of them do not provide information about the city or the time used to create the Qimen chart. Because a "Local Real Time" chart requires the latitude and longitude of the seeker's location to be cross-checked. For example, if two people in China both make Qimen charts using Beijing time at noon, but one person is in Urumqi, Xinjiang Province, and the other is in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, there's nearly a three-hour difference between their local times. Ancient QMDJ diviners used local time for divination. Therefore, the person in Urumqi should cast the chart at 8:48 a.m. local time, while the person in Harbin should cast it at 12:24 p.m. local time, rather than both using Beijing time at noon. Thus, when making a Qimen chart according to "Local Real Time," it's crucial to inform the QMDJ diviner of the querent's location, as this directly affects the accuracy of the diviner's predictions. If the divination is cast using "Casually Time," it's essential to specify this to the QMDJ diviner. Without this information, the accuracy of the predictions may decrease.
The second method is "Casually Time," where the QMDJ diviner creates a Qimen chart based on the querent's arbitrary selection of a number, writing a few words, or saying a word, sentence, etc., or based on the requester's orientation, voice, color, etc.
"Casually Time" charts allow for a lot of flexibility and are mainly used for in-person divination appointments. When divining online, besides scheduling a video consultation, most people make Qimen charts based on the local time at that moment. Making a Qimen chart using "Casually Time" primarily relies on the QMDJ diviner's use of "external correspondences." Also included is using the wrong chart to determine the correct outcome. Making a Qimen chart using "Casually Time" allows for resolving situations where multiple people want divinations at the same time or when there are more people requesting divinations simultaneously. In such cases, it's necessary to make the chart using "Casually Time" for higher accuracy.
Another common knowledge that everyone should be aware of is that once it's clarified whether to arrange the chart using "Local Real Time" or "Casually Time," one must also understand that there are dozens of specific methods for arranging a Qimen chart. Common methods include the "Zhi-Run" chart, the "Chai-Bu" chart, the "Mao-Shan" chart, the "Yin" chart, etc. If different charts are cast, the resulting predictions will differ as well. Therefore, when seeking divinations online, if the querent understands these common practices of Qimen, it's best to use the "Zhi-Run" method and arrange the chart using the local true solar time. This approach can enhance the accuracy of divination predictions. Alternatively, providing information to the diviner for chart arrangement by the diviner is more professional. Some querents are not sincere in providing feedback on the factual results of their situations and don't even realize when the divination is incorrect. Therefore, they merely echo the opinions of others. Studying Qimen Dunjia requires personal insight. I'm here to share my practical experience with those who are destined to encounter it.
I've observed that many individuals on online Qimen forums often cast a Qimen chart without providing essential details such as the querent's gender, birth year, and location. This lack of information makes it challenging for QMDJ diviners to make accurate judgments. Even if a final judgment is accurate by 50%, the remaining 50% of predictions may be incorrect. This hinders the goal of anticipating and resolving worries and achieving good fortune. Hence, I've initiated practical divination predictions on online forums to share this unique knowledge and assist those destined to overcome their troubles and cultivate positive karma. The art of divination itself does not deceive; it is only the querent who deceives themselves. Genuine mentors can only be encountered with sincerity, and those lacking sincerity should refrain.
For individuals seeking divination online, please provide the following information:
1.The primary method used in this thread is to create the chart using the "Zhi-Run method." Where was the Qimen chart created? (For example, Taipei or New York City)
2. What time zone is observed at the location? What is the specific local time when the querent seeks divination? Or did the querent create the Qimen chart themselves? (Please specify if daylight saving time is in effect. For instance, New York uses Eastern Time Zone GMT-4 with daylight saving time)
3. The gender of the querent? The birth year and month of the querent and related individuals, along with their birthplace? (Please indicate whether the time is AD or based on the Chinese lunar calendar. Similar to a follow-up visit to the doctor, this ensures mutual benefit. At pivotal junctures in life, it's crucial to anticipate and seek good fortune while avoiding misfortune. (Ancient texts record that the earliest method used by ancient people to create Qimen Dunjia divination was called the "Zhi-Run" method. Over time, many other methods evolved. To put it in perspective, if the accuracy of divination using the "Zhi-Run" method can reach ninety percent, the "Chai-Bu" method and other methods may only achieve eighty percent accuracy. Furthermore, in online forum discussions, I've found that when the Qimen chart is created using the querent's "Local True Solar Time," the accuracy of divination predictions tends to be slightly higher. It's in the AM now, so it's time for me to pull out the basically fanfiction plot I thought up way back when Descendants: Rise of Red was announced and present it as though anyone cares. Need to put this weird early morning energy somewhere.
Principal Cast:
Returning: Mal, Evie, Ben, Uma, Lonnie, Red (sort of, I wrote this before I knew anything about her personality since I came up with it back when all that was known was the title of the movie.
New Principal Characters:
Kivuli - Scar's child (can be either gender) that even Scar didn't know about. Has since grown up with the Hyenas (who have reformed significantly, though are still treated harshly by the lions)
Taa - Simba's youngest, formed a close friendship with Kivuli despite their family history and the gap of years between them.
Krys - Elsa's son of an unknown source. Was raised entirely by Anna and Kristoff as Elsa vanished into the Enchanted Forest a long time ago before Krys was born and Krys' exact origin is unknown (and also thus Elsa could still totally be queer and Disney wouldn't have to show it). Inherited a literally watered down version of his mother's powers (hydrokinesis) that gets stronger and more like his mother as the film continues.
Coronus - Son of Hercules and Megara, formed a very close bond with Krys that blossoms into romance. Also the brawn to Krys' brain.
Jack - Son of the Queen of Hearts. Has lost his sanity after being imprisoned in Wonderland with his mother. For Auradon it was 25 years. For him, who knows...
Evan - The elder son of the Evil Queen, was imprisoned underneath Auradon's castle for attempting to kidnap infant Ben alongside Jack. The prison's magic makes it feel for him as though 500 years have passed despite the short time it has actually been. A powerful sorcerer in his own right.
Hans II/Flint - Prince Hans' only son. Was exiled and imprisoned in the Frozen North for the supposed assassination of his grandfather using his gift for fire magic (that he learned from spellbooks, not from bloodline). Cast of his father's name once he realized his father set up false evidence to let Flint take the fall and allow Hans freedom from the Isle of the Lost (for "good behavior")
Beiye Yu (I really hope I didn't butcher the spelling or coming up with that name, someone please correct me if I did) - Shan Yu's daughter, leading a reassembled fighting force for revenge on Fa Mulan and Auradon in general for siding with Mulan.
Plot:
Prologue: 25 Years Ago/Act I: Auradon 'At Peace'
A brief chase sequence showing the forces of Auradon capturing Jack and Evan and imprisoning them, emphasizing their terror. Match cut from infant Ben to present day Ben, celebrating his anniversary with Mal and generally enjoying the fact that Auradon is thriving. This is also where we get the introduction to our hero kids. Cutting over to the Pride Lands, we see Kivuli playing with hyena cubs (including playing dead to let them win, this'll come back later), followed by a discussion of their general lack of food (Pride Land segments can be animated, but the characters take on human-esque forms in Auradon). He meets with Taa and asks for his help, though Taa says their resources are limited as well. Not long after Kivuli stumbles upon the gateway to Auradon, which the Pride Lands have had the whole time, and realizes what Taa and the other lions have been hiding from them, infuriating him. His friends and 'family' have been starving, and he witnesses Auradon living in excess. Over the opening credits, Beiye and her forces are traveling in a blizzard, when they come across an isolated manse, housing one occupant with his feet constantly bound together, Flint. Kivuli sneaks under Auradon and finds the containment vessel for Evan, freeing him. They decide to work together to force Auradon to recognize its history of cruelty and hypocrisy, and they set off to free Jack as well.
Ben and the hero boys are going off on a camping trip, planning to stop near Hans' estate, but they find it in chaos, with the charred remains of Hans' body having been found in his office. Realizing what this means, Ben prepares to lead them back to Auradon. Meanwhile, Evan shattering the seal on Wonderland's gate has allowed Jack back into the 'real world' and drawn Mal and the rest of the protagonists to the Isle, where the trio trick them and trap them inside a newly formed barrier. Taa arrives, having followed Kivuli, but is also trapped on the Isle as Kivuli shatters the bridge. While most of the group tries to find a way off the Isle, Red and Evie go to Wonderland for a little side quest.
Act II: Auradon Falls
The five antagonists come across each other and forge an even larger alliance, marching into Auradon. Recall the music video for Ways to be Wicked with the Apples that unleashed dark urges? Evan actually casts that spell on the many children in Auradon, turning them wild and against their parents, causing riots and rampant destruction. During this rampage the quintet take the castle with ease, destroy the sculpture garden (and the gardens in general), wreak havoc, ad then parade the captured kings and queens through the streets, all while their own children jeer, mock, and harass them. Kivuli also retrieves Ben's crown from the throne room and snaps it in half, declaring the Kingdom of Auradon a broken promise and a worthless lie.
Ben, Krys, and Coronus witness this from outside the city, and Ben sends the other two to retrieve the rest of Auradon's remaining military from the Northlands (they were intended to prevent incursions like Beiye's, but Beiye's forces slipped through thanks to help from Flint in evading Auradon's defenses), while he surrenders himself to the quintet to buy everyone else time.
Mal and co. find a route off the Isle, and Red and Evie return just in time with the item they were looking for: the Vorpal Sword, aka the only weapon capable of destroying Wonderland beings when they are outside of Wonderland (Jack is also capable of summoning and manipulating card soldiers, should've mentioned that sooner).
While captured, Ben realizes the depths of what Auradon has allowed and in a fury, literalizing their title for him of "a blind king leading a blind people," Flint burns out Ben's eyes.
The battle converges on Auradon.
Act III: Absolution
Kivuli guards Ben on the castle's central tower, Evan is below the castle, preparing a larger scale version of the curse to unleash the dark side of all of Auradon, Beiye and Jack prepare to lead their forces on the front lines, and Flint returns to Anna, who he stored in another tower of the castle, furious with her for forgiving his father.
A chaotic battle ensues. Coronus and Lonnie working together are able to subdue Beiye, and Lonnie reveals to her the truth of who her father was, causing Beiye to surrender. Evan similarly is coerced into standing down by Evie (and Uma fighting him magically). Jack fights Red and Mal for a time, until Red manages to grievously wound him (but not kill him yet) with the Vorpal Blade, and Mal continues upward. Krys overpowers Flint and rescues Anna. Taa frees Ben from his restraints, and though blind, Ben is able to access some small fraction of the Beast's power, and use those enhanced senses to help fight Kivuli. They are still losing though, and Ben takes a deadly blow in Taa's place, until Mal arrives in dragon form and turns the tide. Unfortunately, she was too late, and though she's able to hold his hand and sing to him in his final moments, Ben dies of his injuries. Kivuli and Taa's tussling sends Kivuli over the edge of the balcony, in a dark mirror of their father and grandfather, but Kivuli refuses to take Taa's hand and plummets to his death. Similarly, Jack, refusing to be reimprisoned in the madness of Wonderland, fatally stabs himself with the Vorpal Blade, dying with a smile on his face. Flint too, chooses to set himself ablaze along with the tower rather than return to his imprisonment. As the hyena cubs (more of the Pride Lands arrived as reinforcements for Auradon) try in vain to wake up Kivuli's motionless body, Evan mourns, even as Mal and Taa descend with Ben's body. He lectures them on the twisted system they still haven't stopped perpetuating, and most of all their cruel justice that means its recipients would rather die than be imprisoned.
Evan is placed under house arrest/Evie's care, a small monument to Ben is erected, the innocent and/or abused children of the villains are finally brought to Auradon proper en masse, and though the losses were great, Auradon may finally find the dawn it thought it had perpetuated for so long.
Is it way too dark for Disney Channel? Almost definitely. Would they ever go for it what with the queerness, heavier themes, pointing out how royally f**ked the morals of Auradon are, the violence, etc? Doubtful. But my brain wanted to do something interesting with the franchise since I assumed (and seemingly assumed correctly) that Rise of Red would just be another sanitized, by the book, nothing product.
I also didn't mention it, but this would still be a musical. A dark musical for sure, but those exist obviously.

Well, that clears some things up. First, people are still complaining that the mag doesn't live to its name, and you know I completely agree, but it seems like things are going to be better in a few issues. We'll see!
There's also the matter of the big fish in Peter's flat! It was a mistake after all, he doesn't have two different fishes. I feel serene now.
I also agree that the treatment of Peter and Flash's friendship was excellent in the last batch (particularly its first issue, which I noted).
I don't mind the lack of intertwining: I'm fine if both mags have their own storyline. I actually enjoy it! Spectacular had the Sha-Shan plot, and Amazing had the mystery of who took pictures of Peter and his clone. The latter in particular was stretched very thin, as in, you wouldn't hear anything for many issues, then it would appear. At least, when Wein concluded his storyline, it was extremely good, dare I say great, but compare this to the more involving plots of previous eras.
I'm curious to see what this new era will bring.
SO.
Our story begins with a cop, Macone, doing heroics to catch a bad guy with Spidey's discreet help. Eager to get a picture of the new celebrity, Jameson entrusts Peter with the task to go to his place.
Mary Ann just doesn't get it, man! The appointment is short, and Peter quickly concludes that he never imagined being a cop or married to one could be so difficult. Shh, no one mention that cops are among the most abusive partners, Naive Peter could not handle such a reveal.
Meanwhile, the Beetle tries very hard to make me believe it's a good villain and is focused on stealing something from a precinct house. Soon, the whole city is ablaze with various thieveries and other commotions. Only one cop stays at the precinct...
Uh-oh.
The beetle tries to retrieve an item there, but Spidey's there to stop him.
As he's being thrown around, Spidey ponders on the fact that he cares about May's health and gives gifts to his friends on Christmas to make us believe the magazine cares about Peter's secondary cast.
Wanting to help our beloved hero, Macone mixes water with heroin to throw the result at the Beetle. He quickly gets yeeted, but it's always nice to see people help Spidey in battle. Or. Help him at all.
*sigh* I feel like I know where this is going.
...Except I don't, because Macone doesn't die! There he is, a few days later, telling the whole city that the attache-case the Beetle was after contained fake money. OoOh!
That's actually a great ending to this issue. I kind of enjoyed it! Macone is surprisingly neat.
Onto #17! This time, the action is set in California. That's right, we're going to Sunnydale, guys!
"Palm trees and 80 degrees in January?! I'm going to come down with a cold--I can feel it!"
Okay, so guys, I was mindfucked for a minute. I thought Peter had missed his 9 am plane flight for Los Angeles and had thus done NY->LA by swinging and ARRIVED AT 10 AM THERE.
I was like, "IN WHAT WORLD DOES THIS MAKE SENSE?!" and turns out it didn't and I had to read more carefully.
Looking at it though, it looks nice to just take a bus and get lost in the US wilderness... aaah, I think I should replay Life is Strange: True Colors!
Peter's unlucky though, he's barely set his foot there when he has to be saved by X-Men Angel!
Turns out Peter was sent to take pictures of the Champions before they got disbanded... but he's too late! Furthermore, his camera just got broken!
However, Angel, who's a rich guy (Warren Worthington doesn't sound like the common people to be fair), pays him a new one. He's nice!
I gather that Bobby Drake's comphet runs deep.
Damn, he was almost the original Jean Grey, outing people without their consent! Careful, Angel!
Warren says everybody left, but Spidey has a feeling he was lying, at least about Iceman's disappearance. Hmm!
And he was right to be cautious!
Fighting ensues.
I presume it his Bobby under the mask, considering his gay tendencies are put on display here (good for him).
And I'm proven right essentially right here and there. The homoerotic tension between Angel and Iceman is something I didn't expect, but it's definitely there and I enjoy it.
In #18, while Clarke has been knocked down by the almighty power of electricity, Iceman is still a menace.
This is the second time Bobby calls Warren "daddy". Make of that what you will.
The fight continues and one driver has the best reaction ever.
Spidey is an ally!
Anyway, we don't care about all that, because in New York, at ESU...

Notes from book 4 of the foreigner series by C, J, Charryh precursor
okay so this was a little longer to get done. it was due to the face that I got impatiant and red it through but then had to re-read it to actully write this and kind of got lazy, plus I have to wait for maybe 4 weeks till I can read the next one. as usual spoilers a head and swearing.
Chapter 1
I looks like a jet is gonna be in our what we open with bren, saying goodbye to his folks on independence day a holiday in Mospheira
His mom is nagging him about the pager he gave her and Toby getting him to say Farewell. Fuck barb is still here and fuck her desperate attempt to get him back after 3 fucking years. Thank fuck he is now on the plane. It seems like the space shuttle is a little bit of a political mess that tabini is kind of trying to clear. Brominiandi being pissy about the shuttle. Yolanda is okay and Jase left without notice. It appears he wasn't able to be as much help while jase and Yolanda are working with the pilot guild , also Shawn is trying. Ben Feldman , Kate, Tom Lund and ginny Kroger are on the plane are Kind of new to the job and tabini as a history of getting people into odd situations to see how the dice roll. He warns them to not fuck anything up if they are gonna be there or the shuttle is fucked. Okay someone called Trent cope who is new to all of this from the Phoenix ship. Jase is sort of with them in thought. Dose Trent cope look like a priest or an office worker? Also he was kind of sickly like jase was down there. Hey bren why do you like vodka and fruit juice instead of beer?. So Trent seems to be more sickly due to his age unlike jase. He tells the newbies to stay on the children's language to avoid mess ups. sort of get to Bu-javid and in three years they start getting additions of neon to the cities that make it look like a downtown on the island.
Chapter 2
Hes here with the group he is with and banichi and jago are here so he introduces the other humans with him. He is so mad at tom lund saying thoughtful things and just pissing him off. Kate kind of tried to be nice. Oh boy, Jase cutted his hair and is wearing something like ” jersey trousers frayed fish jacket “ . the shuttle is huge and is named shai-shan or favorable wind. It sounds like jason is packing up due to aiji’s order and bren is pretty upset about him cutting his braid. Jase tells him that maybe he could maybe tell the secretaries, staff, algini and tano that he will miss them. Bren decides to try to figure out what the hell is going on. He meets up with algini and tano in security, he is kind of having an existential dread of losing connection to other humans. Ilisidi is back and was around jase, and ilisidi gave him a message.
Chapter 3
Time to check up on our favorite scary old lady and Cenedi. It still kind of shocks me that they dress him up. Oh shit how did she find out about vodka? They talk about the shitshow around the guild being back. They talk about Tayler who is what jasen is a clone of. Welp she brought up the deed of darkness he had with Jago last book. Ilisidi please don't talk about his mom like that. Of course she did that to see him blush. Tabini calls for him .
Chapter 4
Eidi the major domo of tabini house. Tabini is here and talking about shit going on. He is also complaining about Trent. Well shit it turns out he could get sent back to the station with jase , there going to space. And to also check if there are some shit stirrers on the station. Oh shit bindanda might be a spy.
Chapter 5
Bren, jago and banichi are on the train to the airplane. Ilisidi is coming along with her security as well. He is so scared of the ship being fucked or switchover he wanted to go ta an atevi physician to give him a full sedation. So it seems the pilot guild is autocrats. Oh look it's Ginny and Lund as bren meets with jase to tell him of the news and are all kind if surprised that he is gonna be coming along. There is a moment of tension where Kroger gets a bit argument where Lind has to be the peacemaker. Decides to talk with Jase alone.
Chapter 6
He talks to jase with banichi and jago. It's so funny how bren hates what Jason is wearing and calls it wretched and Jason complained of chills when the servants wanted to remove it. Aww it looks like ramirez is a dad like figure to Jason and kind if the reason why the Phoenix got back to the abandoned station. The other captions are Josefa sabin, Jules Ogun and last but not least pratap tamun. Already is bunt about how tamun sucks. Sounds like bren and Jason are planing to try to keep this whole from being unpleasant like warning jase to keep his staff from staring in the eyes and pointing out that jase is to tabini part of his household. They toast to there success.
Chapter 7
Bren gets to rest and bindanda , banichi and jago are with him. Banichi tells him there is nothing to report from morgari. This is the first time I ever saw a book describe some one with an adjective cat footed that I remember. Narain comments that a grand adventure. Bren goes for a bath. Well just like with beds jago gose into into with the bath tub with him, odd description he gave her though. Holy shit C. J. Cherryh ready did say that boundaries and respect are important in a relationship. Banichi came in to tell him his mom called him, oh boy. Well shit barb was run over by a bus. And now his mom is trying to make him come back home. Poor bren.
Chapter 8
They are in the departure center with Bren , Jase , Tano , algini , banichi , jago , Jund and kroger. Shai-shan the space ship is waiting for all of them with Shugart. Everyone is pretty nervous with the steward. It seems like Gan where the original aveti Mospeira before the humans where put on the island. Okay the part where the steward did that thing where they start giving out drinks on airplanes caught me off guard. The aveti just reacting to Zero Gravity is just so cute and funny. They got to the Phoenix.
Chapter 9
Wow the Phoenix looks kind of fucked up like with rust and soot. "Welcome to the space age. Welcome to the universe we've made, and the consequences of all we've done" . Jase is pretty nervous and is gonna try to talk to Ramirez. Bren warns jago and banichi to not show weapons and not do a violence or even startling them. There's some one named Josefin or called Luz by jase who is a bit startled by the staff. Those poor bastards moving the luggage. Captain Jules ogun is described as dark skinned while hair perhaps from old age with lieutenant Delacroix. They get into a little argument and ogun being bit stubborn but bren is standing up for his staff. I keep forgetting that the aveti eat food usually in season. Well shit It looks the mattresses are not delivered and the aveti are like 8 feet tall. This pisses of bren and Sabin is making him join a meeting with the other captions. Bren explains the cultural differences and tells his staff to smile more, banichi tried to smile but in a dire way, everyone laughed. The place for them was set up and bren apologizes to Johnson, andresson , pressman and Polano, some of the crewmen of the ship.
Chapter 10
The servants set up the apartment to look kind of similar to home and he is touched by the gesture. Jago got hit on the head due to the shorter doors. He thinks about how off things are back at home with his messed up family and while he is eating eggs the guide to the ship arrives at there door.
Chapter 11
The guide looks a little uncaround the aveti and what they did with his room. They were escorted to where the captains were waiting for them. Ramirez is really made about the whole thing and sounds like he hates how bren as been a pain in the ass to work with for 3 years. The deal managed to go through and bren is advised to use C1 to communicate with jase.
Chapter 12
Bren tells banich and jago that the deal went well. The guides name is Kaplan . He uses the C1 to communicate and send a message to tabini. There's already some suspicious stiff going down when he can't seem to get in tough with Toby. So he decided to meet with ginny Kroger and to get the guide.
Chapter 13
Bren had to go with Kaplan to visit the other humans and Kaplan is having some difficulty getting tea. So bren gets Feldman and shugart to get the tea. The others get a little shocked about the spaceship and the fact that there is more hostile aliens out there. A bit of a heated argument happens and the tea finally gets there with bindanda with a tray.
Chapter 14
The meeting settles down a little better. Kroger is a little happy about the archives as a scientist will get her hands on it soon. He gose back to check in for any new messages. Some how an advertisement managed to get to him from where he was. Toby was fin but the weather delayed him. It seems like something is wrong and asks for some one to maybe get jase on call for him. He is trying to think about the situation when jago is as worried for him as the staff. He gets supper and talks with banichi and jago foe advice and to fill them in. It sounds like they have got 13 days before they go back down to the planet. Brings up the baji-naji philosophy to pop up again. He contacts his family and sends a message to them. He can't contact Yolanda and jase for some reason. He wakes up and gets news from a new man on the C1 that there are no new messages for him. Well shit might start to hit the fan soon. bren tries to lighten his staffs mood then he gets a call from captain Sabin who doesn't want to get him to meet with jase. Holy hell that letter he wrote to toby holy shit. He tells banichi they might want to arm lightly
Chapter 15
Kaplan guides them to the other humans from the planet with his servants. Bren annoys Kaplan about where the crew is. Kaplan is trying to not get frustrated . holy hell bren you are kind of being an annoying character to kaplan, like seriously stop pressing buttons and giving kaplan a heart attack. Well bren and banichi asks kaplan some questions that the poor fellow answers. Bren is guided to the cafeteria and the crew are in there, and nervous as hell . bren asks about jase and they do not know. Bren corrects kaplan gently by pointing out that the humans are the aliens and not the aveti. They meet up with kroger and then have a bit to drink.
Chapter 16
Bren banichi and jago talk about how they, according to kate , have been looking around the ship with curiosity. The suspicious things are starting to go on about how jase can’t see them. They also discuss if kroger is aiji of there group. During supper he gets a worrying message from toby about missing kids and his wife jill. He sends a message to Tahini with an update of the situation. After eating supper he gets a discovery for his staff that they see a screen that have things that might be connected to the archive and sabiso mistakens a horse for a mecheiti . he gets a message back from toby that is rather suspiciously short and that jill and the kids are okay.
Chapter 17
He sends a message to tahini and then gets a little suspicious but might be okay. C1 talks a bit about the ship and notices that c1 is a lot more having long delays than usual to banichi but cooperative to bren. He has a talk with his staff about the future of the aveti there on the spaceship. He invites the other embassies for dinner with kaplan. He discusses the plans and some ideas.his staff let kaplan takes some of the food from dinner into his pockets. After the meeting we got a short message from toby he was was happy about. Then the power went out for a bit but luckily it went back on. He feels a bit miserable when he can’t get in contact with anyone he knows like the caption, yolanda and jase. He awkwardly lets Jago on the bed. Aww he is so caring about banichi and he panics kind of like he usually does and asks jago if she and banichi are a thing. Holy shit jago just dropped the bomb, the banichi is her dad at the near end. Its so funny that he is so shocked that banichi is her dad. Well thats a rather wholesome way to fade to black before the deed of darkness can happen.
Chapter 18
Jago has yeeted after the deed of darkness was done, poor bindanda and kandana probably had to hear all that. It sounds like he has not gotten any new messages from toby or tahini. He meets up with one of the stewards from the shuttle from the beginning. There name is parijo and is a little lost. They send him to nojana and hopefully is okay. Oh great banichi is missing. Oh boy now bren is getting is staff to start bracing themselves for shit to hit the fan and to try to look for banichi..
Chapter 19
Okay he is now freaking out about banichis were abouts and is wondering where the hell he went. Jago drops the bomb that thy noticed something off when the power was shut off and banichi went off to check on things. Tano and algini explain what they know about what jase tool them before going missing. Oh shit he is not getting contact from kroger . oh fucking shit banichi came back with one message ‘i fear ramirez-aiji has fallen’ . banichi is trying to get bren away from the shit that is about to hit the fan. Well bren is hell bent on keeping them from abandoning those he brought here and sends a coded letter to his mother to warn her in code.
Chapter 20
He tells kroger he is gonna be on the planet for a few days and now he is getting suspicious of lund, kroger and the others dining with him. He tries to subtly try to warn her kroger that there maybe some shit going down and hes gonna try to get help. Kaplan and his fruit intake, luckily they give him some crates to give to his friends.
Chapter 21
Welp he have putted two and two together that tabin’s letter was faked, realizing your in a closed circle kinda sucks huh. Also he jago are trying to get packed. Right when they are about to leave they narani find a letter a badly written letter in ragi. They plan to try to wait for jase. Its kind of funny that he still hates that fishing jacket so much. Jase explains that he was trying to get his dad is an work area air lock because he got shot by tamun and really need medical help. They say fuck it lets find the damn medicine and to supply jase with the stuff for the trek back. Holy hell bren is willing to file intent on anyone who hurts jase. He sends a message to those who need to know about this shit.
Chapter 22
He gets a message from his mother that, yes, made him upset. It looks like the people moved out and kaplan came back to check on them. He also very subtly tells them to maybe stop holding them off of the meeting with the caption. The shuttle departed back to earth and now they have to wait. So he gets a message from his brother and things are okay between him and jill. He got an escort that wasn’t kaplan and krogers is pretty pissed about everything going on. Okay the reaction to the cafeteria is really funny, especially when you remember they are technically the upper class. And now kroger is going through what they are going through.
Chapter 23
Jago is pretty miserable since banichi left. So kaplan was back after his staff jumpscared him and he wants to get bren to where jase is so that he can get out there. He and jago go to where they are with kaplan and finally meet up with banichi who says things are looking a lot better .okay kaplan how many damn cousins do you have? After getting back with kaplan he tries to translate the man’chi and situation of the crew to his staff. He also has to get food to krogers room and to try to explain the shittening. Well shit the fuckers found them listening in.
Chapter 24
Well this meeting with the captains is awkward. Well great they gave Yolanda, jase his mother, sister and some the co workers trying to help jases dad. They get back to there apartments to help jase with his injuries. The sister name is Olathe and she is pretty scared for good reason. Jase despite being injured with broken bones before he falls asleep. He plans with the others and realizes someone who hates the new order might be hiding jases dad. Bren writes some letters and gets some letters he had not read yet. It looks like the food is more normal and he was able to keep jase from trying to find his dad.
Chapter 25
They are waiting for the shuttle to arrive and bren makes jase go to the shuttle and gets guided to it by Pauline Sato. Almost of of brens staff kind of act a bit weird about the shuttle. Then roughly thirty ish aveti came out of the shuttle. Well shit is it ilisidi and cenedi of all poeple with them and Tom lund with six other humans in the back. Well bren is trying to keep shit from going down thanks to ilisidi coming in like a wreck ball. Well on the plus side it's one of those cases where if you got a big ill tempered fish you get an even worser tempered fish. God I feel bad for Sato. Well fuck yeah they are gonna get there way. It's kind of funny how ilisidi calls Sato a television with limbs due to her outfit. She's lead to where they are gonna see the leader. Everyone is just fucking scared of her. Well at least she is gonna be here to handle construction of the ship. Okay they are gonna try to find jases father now and oh boy is bren now pissed. Ilisidi gives one hell of a speech to settle the crowd.
Chapter 26
Poor bren even in this whole shit he has to be in this and lord geigi and he's crew are with him. Ilisidi is more then ready to literally force her way to get what she wants. They all plan on getting jase a chance to look for his dad where ever he is and the situation they are in. Bren is talking a stand for jase to distract the guards to cause confusion. Well trying to get ogun to listen ain't gonna work out so well. Well shit an explosion happened and banichi random to try to rescue anyone else. The guide by frank that made them walk back get shot . Poor kaplan having to deal with this shit and they finally found jases dad. It's kind of funny how bren mentality describes Kalpan and is merry band as sugar addicts. Well they made it to the net and get the message that jases dad is alive.
Chapter 27
They get word that sabin is trying to find ogun, who might be dead. Oh boy bren is realizing geigi is on the ship with them. They use a car that was near where they were to get back to the shuttle to keep death from getting them. Oh my fucking God, did bren fucking shoot tamun? He fucking did! He is still alive but shot down. It's kind of funny that lord gegi is just popped out when the shit heads down. Also oguns okay, well things are not fucked thank God.
Chapter 28
He is reading all of the letter he nearly got lost due to the censors and is able to rest.

I've got a couple of books on the Kindle ready to go for the upcoming bike trip - and this is one them, being serialised on R4 over the coming week.
I met the author, Tania Branigan, while cycling round the Uighur section of Urumqi, three days after the 2009 riots that ultimately changed everything in Xinjiang. I wasn't in the city on the night of the incident, having cycled across the Tian Shan for a few beers with an Aussie academic living on the edge of the Taklimakan desert. I somehow made it back on a bus the next day, bike stashed in the hold, before the wave of retaliatory Han violence that some say was officially sanctioned prior to the authorities finally clamping down on the situation.
Ms Branigan just happened to be in the city when it kicked off so provided much of the initial coverage in western media. I've followed her work since and, based on the first two chapters of this book, I don't think it's going to disappoint.

Puhu Chi’er
PUHU CHI’ER (攴胡赤兒)
(? ~ ?)
Puhu Chi’er was a subordinate of Niu Fu (牛輔).
In 192, following Dong Zhuo’s (董卓) assassination, Niu Fu would join other Dong Zhuo loyalists to take back the Emperor. The forces would clash near Chang’an, Niu Fu setting up at Shan County, Hongnong Commandery.
As Niu Fu’s bodyguard, Puhu Chi’er followed him into battle against Li Su (李肅), who was sent by Lu Bu to attack them. Niu Fu’s forces defeated Li Su forcing him to retreat.
The same night, some men defected from Niu Fu’s camp, spiking his paranoia. Niu Fu got Puhu Chi’er, who he treated generously, and five or six other men, and headed north along with all of Niu Fu’s treasure.
After crossing the Yellow River, Puhu Chi’er and the other men, coveting the treasure, betrayed Niu Fu and killed him. Niu Fu’s head was sent to Chang’an.
There is however a different account of this. The five or six men along with Puhu Chi’er prepared horses at the northern side of the castle they were in, but they needed to climb over the wall to get to them. As they were climbing down the wall with a rope, Niu Fu slipped and fell, breaking his hip. Since Niu Fu became incapacitated, the men decided to steal his treasure, kill him, and then send his head to Chang’an.
There are no further accounts of Puhu Chi’er.
His surname has many variations such as Hu (胡), Zhihu (支胡), and Youhu (友胡). Puhu is the common name used, thus I used it here. Hu appears only in the Romance, and Zhihu appears in the second story about Niu Fu’s death. There is a whole thing about the origins of his surname and a bunch of speculation about the names of northern peoples etc, which I will not delve into. De Crespigny says he believes that all the different surnames were just used to describe him being non-Chinese.
