I've been watching a lot of All Grown Up recently... decided to try my hand at 2010s teenage versions of some characters (Angelica being 19 here)

It's hard to overstate how much of a phenomenon Spongebob Squarepants was. I have in my mind that it was a latecomer to the golden years of Nickelodeon animation, following highlights like Rugrats, but I can't really argue with the fifteen seasons, three feature films, the Braodway musical, and whatever else Spongebob there is that I don't know about.

And the Barbie.

Barbie Loves Spongebob was a 2002 Barbie featuring the lady herself in a Spongebob shirt and trousers featuring Spongebob jellyfishing.

But sorry, did I say Barbie? I meant Barbies.

Spongebob Squarepants bobble buddy Barbie is a surfing Barbie in a Spongebob-themed swimsuit, with her pal Spongebob and a cardboard cutout of Patrick Star.

Two Barbies was not enough for the sponge though.

Spongebob Squarepants Barbie has a third different Spongebob themed outfit, with a different Spongebob top and plain yellow pants. She also features a Spongebob keychain.

Not to mention the Kelly and Tommy Spongebob and Patrick.

Which are adorable, but really puzzling.

They're more unsettling the more you zoom in.

ugh yes this idea makes me so soft.

he would be the best dad. he’s already mastered the resting dad face. if you have a son he definitely named him yuuji 🥰

loves making breakfast for you and your lil one on saturday mornings, cozying up in pajamas with french toast and eggs and bacon and potatoes- every inch of counter space in your kitchen is covered with plates of everything your hearts desire.

he’s the kind of dad to carry your little one on his shoulders on shopping/grocery days. your kid loves to play with his hair, making it impossibly messier. you have hundreds of photos in your camera roll of this. megumi’s pout at his disheveled hair accompanied with your child’s beam of joy makes your heart melt.

when he comes home from particularly long missions, he’ll always cuddle your little one until they fall asleep on the couch. you have a few too many pictures of this scene as well. (AH! dad!megumi cuddling his kiddo on his chest, both of them passed out 🥰)

if you have a girl he would happily play dress up with her. all decked out with messy nail polish, blotchy eyeshadow and blush, and the biggest, glitter-iest bows. (again- you’ll have to upgrade your phone’s storage to make room for all the pictures you’re taking)

he’s very protective of you both. always holding hands when crossing the street or when in busy public spaces. he can be a little strict when it comes to these things, but it only comes from a place of worry and love.

spoils your kid senselessly. really. you’ll have to talk to him because a child does not need a new toy or outfit every day. you tell him that he’s going to raise a brat. he comes home with a new teddy the next day anyways. your kid is too sweet to become a lil brat anyways.

HIS SHIKIGAMI LOVE HIS LIL ANGEL CHILD!! they babysit sometimes 🥰🥰

(he lets his shikigami babysit more often than gojo)

whenever you’re at get-togethers with your friends, your little one has all the attention. there will be times where you and megumi will look around and have no idea where the lil rugrat went. only to find them sneaking sweets with gojo, rough housing outside with maki and panda, or up to some mischeif with nobara and toge. (i could write a whole fic about this ISTG)

okok last thing megumi would absolutely have a little locket with a photo of you on one side and a photo of his precious little baby on the other 🥰🫶

MODERN AU

STEVE HARRINGTON X EDDIE MUNSON with baby reader!

(Name) grunted as his dad changed him, kicking his tiny baby legs around "(name), it takes longer if you struggle buddy" Steve said softly, used to his sons antics as the Rugrat always was on the move and Steve blamed that trait in (name)s other dad, Eddie.

"See there now you won't be walking in your own crap" Steve said lifting the babe up and walking out into the hall where Eddie and their eldest Dustin planned out the next d&d campaign "remember you guys are taking (name) with you" Steve said setting (name) his jumper and the babe just looked around with a smile reminiscent of Eddie's as the adults and teenager spoke "oh! That reminds me, if he's gonna be there he's gotta look the part" Eddie said getting up and swiftly leaving the room and returning with a tiny Hellfire club shirt and an equally tiny battle jacket that just said stuff like "feral imp" and "metal head in the making" in the patches.

Steve couldn't help but crack a smile as Eddie looked so proud of himself and Dustin grabbed (name) who made happy baby sounds at the sight of his older brother "let's put it on him!"

The tiny baby looked a little peeved as they changed him but was pleased when Eddie held him as he wore a matching outfit to his dad "lemme get a picture" Steve said as he pulled out his phone and got a picture of the father son duo while trying to get (name)s attention so he would look at the camera.

"Dad he's not gonna look"

"Shush Dustin, (name)! Look at me!"

Eventually (name) looked at Steve when Dustin made a silly face that made the babe laugh and the picture of perfect.

Eddie smiling down at his boy who looked just off of the camera and was smiling and laughing.

Steve made it his phone background instantly.

Days passed and Steve was leaving to coach a basketball game as Eddie, Dustin and (name) left to the d&d session "dusty, you got (name)s bottles yeah?"

"Yeah dad" Dustin said holding up the baby bag "good because we do not need to halt the session because we forgot his food"

The sessions were held every Saturday at Hellfire comic&game shop after closing as Dustin's friends gathered at his dad's shop and played dungeons and dragons for a few hours until Steve made them come back home.

"Say bye bye to mama (name)" Eddie said softly as he waved the babes chubby little hand and the babe looked confused but eventually waved on his own as the family seperated, Eddie playing his music quieter as to not harm little (name)s fragile ear drums.

"ABABABA!" (name) yelled out excitedly to the song, clearly loving it "my boy is a metal head!" Eddie said excited as Dustin shared Steve's taste in music like Madonna and such.

The patch was true then.

In Eddie's back office area was a folded play pen, the man setting it up before putting little (name)s toys in and setting the boy inside "ok bud, you get to hang right beside daddy alright?"

"Dadadada!"

"Exactly!"

The evening went smooth as (name) passed out at around 8 with a full belly and the battle jacket taken off to make him more comfy while holding a toy dragon.

The only sound that came from him after that was a toot.

When it was time to go home, Eddie drove everyone home as his sons were passed out in the back, both having their heads tilted and mouth agape (name)s pacifier laying in his little lap.

Once both offspring were situated in bed, Eddie walked behind Steve and kissed his neck and gripped his hips "hey sweetheart" Eddie mumbled as he slowly swayed his husband "hey Eddie..." Steve whispered back as the metalhead pulled him close to his chest, Steve putting together three out of four of the Harrison-munson families lunches for the following day.

"After you finish... Wanna test those new toys we got?" Eddie asked seductively and blew slightly into Steve's eat "make sure the ducklings are asleep and then grab the rope"

Eddie was excited as he ran off to check on the kids, Steve smirking slightly as he finished up the lunches and wandered to the bedroom.

Just another day in their family.

What are everyone's opinions on kids?

Malachi: I talked a bit about it before, but I might wanna adopt kids someday!

Inigo: If I'm gonna fulfill my lifelong dream of becoming a grandpa, I should probably like kids first. And I do, for the record. The dojo kids are fun to mess around with.

Maelstrom: No children for me, please! Malachi is my one and only son-boy, and my favorite one at that! I think I shall keep it that way.

Yohann: Ew, no. Have you ever tried getting a rugrat to put on an outfit, let alone tailor one for them? It's a nightmare. I don't want that in my house 24/7, I'll keep my distance.

Dielle: I'd love to have kids of my own someday! They're so cute, not to mention they're a lot smarter than folks give them credit for! I'm always really proud of the dojo kids when they learn something new. Even if it's a little... exhausting...

Rune: I'm... not sure, yet. I always feel really awkward around kids, and I think they can tell. I like them just fine, it's just hard to talk to them.

Eilwyn: Little kids overstimulate me, so I don't think I could handle them long-term... And also my lifestyle isn't really safe for little guys. In the ocean a lot of fish pokemon raise each other while they grow up, and that was enough for me.

Guildmaster: Nah!!

Keaton: I agree with the Guildmaster on this one. My life is too hectic as it is, and adding children on top of that would be too much.

Julius: Do ya even have to ask? The answer's obvious, chaw-haw! Of course I want a mini-me runnin' around! I think it'd be a favor to e'ryone to have more competent explorers in the world.

Chris came in the kitchen to see you and Savannah prepping for baking and the gingerbread house competition, while he was holding Grayson and Rylee in each arm, Penelope wrapped around his leg and Scout hanging off his back with her arms wrapped around his neck. “Ah so this is where the oldest rugrat disappeared to” you laughed “you look like you got your hands full spangles” he nodded “I haven’t noticed” Savannah furrowed her brow “Noni?” You looked at her “yes my little love?” “How come you call Ciccio spangles?”

You giggled “because he was Captain America and wore a very spangly outfit. I did it to tease him but it just stuck” She nodded and looked at Chris “do you have a special nickname for noni?” He smiled and nodded “I do, I call noni pretty bird. When she and I first started dating we were walking through the park and she noticed a blue jay on a branch and said she just wanted to watch the ‘pretty bird’ and she wondered why I kept staring at her and I said ‘because I’m watching my pretty bird’ and it stuck”

Savannah sighed “I wanna be someone’s pretty bird” you giggled and wrapped your arm around her “you have plenty of time for that Sassy when you’re a grown up” Chris laughed “Noni’s right Savvy, you don’t need to worry about that now-“ he set Rylee, Grayson and Scout down and picked Penelope up and stood her up straight “-what you munchkins need to worry about is the gingerbread house contest tonight”

The kids all cheered and rushed around the table as you set up each gingerbread building station and they got to work right away. Scout started struggling a bit and looked at Chris “I need help ciccio” He came right over “okay sweet pea” Penelope furrowed her brow “hey isn’t that cheating?” Sassy snipped back “no it isn’t Penny, mind your business” Chris looked at Savannah and spoke sternly “watch your attitude Savannah Grace” then he looked at Penelope “it’s not cheating peeps, you’re always allowed to ask for help” she nodded and Chris looked at Savannah again “now I want you to apologize to Penny”. Savannah looked down and mumbled a sorry to her cousin.

Teddy walked in a few minutes later and Penelope piped up “hey you owe me skittles!” Teddy nodded “oh yeah? You got my money peeps?” She rolled her eyes and sat back down in her chair and he pointed at her “then we have nothin to talk about”. Chris looked at Teddy “do I even want to know why an eight year old owes you money?” Teddy put his hands on his hips “she knows why”

Savannah looked over at Teddy “well I’m her lawyer and I’d like to negotiate a settlement” Teddy just blinked at her “where the hell did you learn that?” Chris lightly hit Teddys arm with the back of his hand “watch your mouth” Savannah crossed her arms and smirked “from Ellie” Teddy nodded “alright well, don’t think I didn’t hear you telling noni earlier that you had a crush on someone and I’m tempted to tell your dad” She narrowed her eyes “you wouldn’t?” Teddy narrowed his eyes back and pulled out his cell phone “wouldn’t I?”

Savannah stood “I’m his little baby, he’ll believe me before you!” Teddy nodded “yeah well I was his baby before you came along so ha!”.

You just shook your head and Chris rubbed his face in exasperation “we could have stopped at one kid”. You gave him the biggest side eye “and whose fault is that?”
