I had an idea and I know I can't write anything to lead up to it but essentially it's like.... It's some sort of Cowboy AU, because they have horses, and it's hot and whatever. But it's.... Basically Steve and Nancy get into a spat, something that causes Steve to decide to leave, completely hop town. Maybe just for a day, or maybe for an uncertain amount of time.
But, he goes, and Robin's there. And the thing is, Robin loves Nancy. They had memories together, positive and sweet. But Robin is Steve's best friend, his Platonic Soulmate Capital P, his thick and thin, first and foremost, and even when Steve and Nancy has history, Steve and Robin has history too, and Nancy would take one look at Robin, the woman she loves.
And Robin would give her one last look before hopping on her horse and following after Steve. She loves Nancy, but she can't live without Steve.

My Grimoire Research Library
this is a list of my major resource I've referenced/am currently referencing in my big grimoire project. For books I'll be linking the Goodreads page, for pdfs, websites and videos i'll link them directly.
There are plenty of generalised practitioner resources that can work for everyone but as I have Irish ancestry and worship Hellenic deities quite a few of my resources are centred around Celtic Ireland, ancient Greece and the Olympic mythos. If you follow other sects of paganism you are more than welcome to reblog with your own list of resources.
Parts of my grimoire discuss topics of new age spiritualism, dangerous conspiracy theories, and bigotry in witchcraft so some resources in this list focus on that.

Band of Brothers Ages: IRL vs. Actors
Did you know that according to a 1947 study, almost half the men who served in WWII were still under age 26 by the end of the war?
What this is : A (very long) post comparing the ages of the actors in Band of Brothers vs. the IRL figures they are portraying.
Background: Did I need to do this? No. Did anyone ask for this? Also no. Did I do it anyway? Yes.
Disclaimers: This is SUPER approximate for the most part. I based IRL ages off of D-Day unless otherwise noted, and actor ages off of January 1, 2000, the year filming took place (the latter is where the most variation will be because I didn't try to figure out what month filming started). I also didn't fact-check birthdays beyond googling. Most are sourced from the Band of Brothers and Military Wikis on fandom.com, Wikipedia, and IMDb.
I broke them up into rough categories, which are, again, approximate. I know I often forget how young the real life people were here, and this was a good reminder of that. I also found it interesting to see which actors were actually younger than their roles!
Check it all out under the cut ⬇️

damian #21, #22, and #25 for the ask game pls!
21 When do you think they were at their happiest?
Hmmm hard to answer here b/c I feel like there are different ways of being happy... I think his general most-self-content time would be post R:SoB, pre the Rebirth-character-assassination nonsense, when he had started coping with what he did in the League of Assassins and met Maya.
22 When do you think they were at their lowest?
Writing wise? Feelings wise? :P DC really did put him through the ringer.
I'm gonna answer feeling wise and take a stab and guess it was when he was being possessed by Nezha, post Alfred's death. In general a lot of the post Alfred's death stuff could be counted as his lowest.
25 When do you think they acted the most ooc
Out of comics that I have read (so I'm not judging comics I haven't read): Batman and Robin 2023 Damian is just. An entirely other guy. He reads as more insecure than 13 year old Damian in Supersons and 11 year old Damian in Robin: Son of batman (so I disagree with the rhetoric I've seen that "he's mellowed out b/c he's older" - b/c he isn't really mellower, anyway), he's generally got the more-emotionally-open but less-moral interpretation William did in Robin 2021 but pushed even more so. He's getting more fans now, but that's also like. Because he's more generic and less "objectionable" and Williamson did a lot to try to make him seem like a more "conventional" victim (link) - both in flashbacks and in how he responds to kids in high school
TY for asks!

Tumblr media
The hard steps of heeled shoes on clean cut grass, the twirls of bodies and hips, and the glittering shine of outfits under the heat of the blistering sun.
Did you never get enough of it? No you didn't, maybe it was the charm to it!
...Okay definitely not the heat but the rush of the performance? Pretty fun!
Cheerleading was no easy feat especially if you get hurt during it.
And you were well known for not having the best luck.
"Coach please, I really need to perform, the routine isn't gonna look right if I'm not there-" You pleaded, limping behind your coach Roberto as he slowly walked to the sidelines.
A normal day of practice had quickly turned upside down when you accidentally tripped over your feet in the middle of the routine, bending your ankle in an odd way that you did not want to look at.
With a clipboard in his hands, the music continued to blast through the air as the rest of your teammates practiced just a bit away on the field. "As much as you wanna protest about it, I'm not putting you in. You hurt? Take a break." He rasped out.
Shit.
You watched as the realization grew on his face until he put a hand up to rub the bridge of his nose with a sigh "Now who the hell am I gonna find to take your place. No one in this damned place knows any of these moves besides you guys..."
You put a hand over your eyes in attempted to stop getting blinded from the sun, momentarily looking back at your team. The upcoming performance was against a pretty much bigger university and you knew ya'll couldn't let everyone down.
Who else could take your spot-
And it were if a lightbulb went off on top of your head, you gasped out at the memory. Maybe there was one person.
Out of all the times you've been unsure if you were doing a routine right, those insecure times in need of help, you've always gone to one person with a bit of a sharp eye.
"I think I know someone..."
///
Vash liked to help people.
Well, it wasn’t a like really but more of a love. Sometimes he found himself trying to do the best he could for those who he loved and cherished even though he doesn't really know if he could.
A bit of a fault in the Saverem's head.
But he never really thought he would've been presented with something like this.
"Uh, I don't know about this... I don't think I'll pull it off."
"I think you'll look great Vash! Honestly, I really wouldn't know how to repay you if you did!" You cheekily smiled at your boyfriend, both of his hands clasped in your own as the both of you sat on your dorm room bed.
Really? He couldn't help but nervously laugh "I don't know if these-" You let go of his hands as he reached over and held up the garments that you had laid out next to you, the tips of his ears turning red from the thoughts. You wore this?
Thighs out, a cut top that showed more than he would've liked to the public, jeez Vash wanted to just wrap you in a blanket and hold you down until everything was over!
You definitely pulled this off but him?
"-Will fit me."
"Don't worry about it Vash, they’re stretchy!" You reassured him.
But you still saw the look uncertainty on him, his mouth tilted in a small pout and an eyebrow raised upwards, making you exhale and give him a soft smile.
"You don't have to do this for me ya’ know? Seriously, I can always perform next season, I mean this sprained ankle isn’t gonna heal quick so maybe I should listen to Roberto about this. “
“No.” Vash abruply cut you off, taking you aback when he turned the other way, hiding his face away from you.
Shit, did you bother him? This was a big favor after all, you couldn't blame him for saying no. You would've said it yourself if you had been asked too.
'Maybe it's too much for him...' You thought, before putting a hand up to put on his shoulder.
“Actually Vash, maybe I'll just rest. I can always tell Roberto change the routine or something! I know you have your shooting competition soon-“
Hearing Vash mumble under his breath, you leaned in closer, not having caught what he said. "What did you say?"
“...I didn’t say I wasn’t gonna do it. I'm worried if the outfit looks bad on me.” He spoke up before turning back to you, giving you a cheeky smile before setting a quick kiss on the tip of your nose.
"But I really don't think the shoes are gonna fit.."
And before you knew it, two weeks had passed and you watched on from the large bleachers at the field below as the fans roared all around the arena before the start of the game.
"So Vash did this willingly?" Vash's roommate Wolfwood flatly asked, leaning back lazily in his seat as you fixed the red jacket on your shoulders belonging to the spiked hair blonde.
"Yeah, he did."
Wolfwood crossed his arms, staring out towards the field as the countdown began ticking to its final seconds in a moments thought "Hope you taught him well."
You leaned to the side towards Wolfwood "I swear I'll pay for your gas Wolfwood."
"I don't think you understand, I had to really drive your ass all the way over here instead of indulging in my beauty sleep." He put a offended hand to his chest.
Did he really think you could've drove there with a swollen ankle?
"...I won't tell Milly you took her welcome lollipops from the entry way the last time you visited."
Wolfwood's head snapped to you, shooting you a glaring squint under his black sunglasses whilst earning a mischievous thumbs-up from yourself.
It was only a few seconds before he swiped his hand out and slapped the side of your knee "Just watch your damn boyfriend already."
Thank you for your patronage~
And when the buzzer rang, you really couldn't hear shit but the screams of football fans as the music began, and that infamous intro you've trained to for the last few weeks boomed out.
God, you kinda hoped he didn't second guess himself, as much as he was clumsy at moments, throughout all the time you've gotten to know him his memory did not fail him one bit.
Just breathe and go with the flow.
Thats what you told him the night before when he left back to his room, having practiced one more time with you.
You hoped he took it what you said to heart.
"Look! The cheerleaders are coming out!" A small girl that had been sitting behind you exclaimed with a pointing finger.
And out ran your team from the break hallway and into the field and in line. One by one, you quickly scanned the running line of cheerleaders crossing the field until you spotted the very out of place tall blonde.
Gotcha cutie!
Running out and following the line leader, Vash's white gloved hand waved towards the crowd as everyone screamed out, both in anticipation and surprise.
"WHO IS THAT?!"
"That's the uni's #1 sharp shooter! Vash The Stampede!"
"What is he doing there!?"
"Maybe he's promoting his team?"
Or maybe you should've gotten some binoculars because why was your boyfriend putting that outfit to work? Sure he was fit and all but damn.
A short white cropped top that ended at his waist with decorative diamond lining and a matching skirt and white heeled boots, the white shiny outfit was one reminiscing a more western look this performance and honestly you weren't mad... How did you never notice your boyfriend had hips?
Nope, not mad at all..
"GO VASH GO!" You screamed at the top of your lungs as the cheerleaders got in place. Picking up the pom-poms from the ground, with one hand on the hip and the other thrown up into the air, you watched as he was the last to put his hand up.
"LET'S GO!"
And with one hip sway, did the Vash slay.

I'll Keep You Warm~ William x Reader
Tumblr media
Yet another entry for @aquagirl1978 and @violettduchess's challenge. Thank you again for hosting, I'm having a lot of fun with these prompts.
Prompt: 7. Camping Pairing: William Rex X Reader Genre: Fluff + a smidge of spice Word Count: 1458 (The fics keep seeming to get longer as I continue this challenge :p)
Tumblr media
“I’m terribly sorry, I don’t see a reservation for you Earl Rex. On top of that, I’m afraid we’re full up and haven’t got a room to spare.”
The innkeeper was visibly upset. He had spent the past few minutes searching his records to see if somehow there had been a mistake. Will just smiled, completely unbothered by your sudden lack of lodging for the night.
“It’s no trouble at all, your assistance has been greatly appreciated. Have a wonderful evening.” Will responded graciously, wrapping his arm around your shoulder, and guiding you out of the inn.
When you were out of earshot you couldn’t help but sigh, “Where are we going to stay then?”
You and William had ben sent out to discover the cause for a recent rash of disappearances from a remote village.
This remote village, however, only had one small inn and Victor had assured the two of you that accommodations had been taken care of. Just before you had left, Victor had stopped you and handed you a small envelope, insisting that you wait until sunset to open it.
Glancing at the sky, the sun had begun its descent, but was still plainly visible. Shrugging, you decided that opening the envelope early wouldn’t be that bad, and hopefully it would have the address of the residence that Victor must have intended for you to stay at.
Unfolding the small piece of paper, all that you found was a crudely drawn map with an x marking the end of a dotted line.
“Um… I think he may have planned for us to stay somewhere else,” You muttered, handing the scrap of paper over to William.
“Ah, I see… He intends for us to stay at wherever this X is supposed to be.”
Will chuckled, glancing once more at the map before tucking it into his breast pocket.
“Off we go then.” He smiled, taking your hand in his and leading the way toward the first landmark.
After a short walk out of the village, you arrived at a gnarled tree. Will assured you that this was what the swirling blob on the map was supposed to represent and you had no choice but to acquiesce to his judgement. Soon you had made your way past a pile of rocks resembling a layered cake, a tiny farmhouse, and finally had reached the final landmark…a fairly wide stream.
Across the water, you were able to see a small tent sitting within a clearing.
“A tent?” You asked incredulously.
Will let out a bark of laughter and took off his cloak, holding it in a balled-up bundle on his shoulder. He began wading through the stream, the water quickly coming up to the middle of his back.
Too stunned to move, you merely watched as he emerged on the other side, clothes soaked through.
“Well come on then,” He shouted, waving you across. The grin on his face brightened as you hesitantly entered the water.
“Oh! It’s freezing!” You squeaked, leaping back onto the shore. Will’s laughter once again rang out and you felt your cheeks flush with embarrassment.
“Come along, little robin. I’ll have a fire started here in a moment to help us dry off.”
Taking a deep breath, you trudged through the icy water, shivering as you finally reached the opposite shore. Almost immediately, Will was behind you, hands pressed against your waist.
“My, my, you truly are soaked through, aren’t you?” He purred in your ear. A shiver ran down your spine for a completely new reason as he began slowly unlacing your dress. “We simply can’t have you stay in these sopping clothes any longer can we?”
Clawing your way to the rational side of your brain, you held Wills hands still, letting out a long breath.
“I am not about to expose myself out here where anyone could come across us!”  You insisted through chattering teeth. “I’ll just sit by the fire and I’m sure I’ll be warmed up in no time.”
Moving to take a step towards the flickering flames, Will tightens his hold on your waist.
“No one will come across us, dear robin.” He whispered, his breath ghosting across the back of your neck.
“How can you be so sure of that?”
“Victor clearly intended for us to go camping tonight. And naturally, understanding that we are lovers, he would have done his best to ensure that we would be completely secluded.” Will’s soft voice murmured, his tongue darting out to trace the shell of your ear.
“But why would he have us cross the stream like this? Surely it would have been just as easy to set up the campsite on the near side!”
Pressing his forehead to your shoulder, Will gently unfolded the map, and pointed to a small dark line that crossed over a longer, pale line, and from there the path continued parallel to the pale line until reaching the X.
“There was a bridge!?” You huffed, spinning around to scold your lover.
Your words were cut off as you came face to face with him, his crimson eyes burning into you with a fierce passion.
“Forgive me, my dear. I couldn’t resist the opportunity to see you like this.” He sighed. “You have no idea how deliciously your dress is clinging to your body.” As if to make a point, he ran his hands over the curve of your hips, eyes trailing along behind.
“You are incorrigible, William Rex.” You tease, letting your eyes flutter closed as he continues his exploration of your body.
A sudden blast of wind buffets the two of you and you both realize that, despite the heat in the air between you, the world outside has begun to cool. Long shadows are now stretching from the trees and the crisp evening air is doing nothing but causing you to feel even colder.
“I do still think it would be beneficial for you to remove that dress. I will take full responsibility for keeping you warm in its stead.” Will hushed, bringing his fingers back to the laces on your dress.
Still a bit nervous, you relent to his hand and allow him to remove the soaking garments from your form, before he strides over to a nearby branch, draping your clothes, followed by his own across it.
You try to steady your breathing as you take in your lover’s physique. Supple, toned muscle traces its way around his lean frame, and you can feel heat pooling in your belly as he turns back to you in nothing but his undergarments.
His soft chuckle pulls you from your reverie and you cough in shame, quickly moving closer to the fire, arms crossed over your chest. As you gaze into the orange tongues of fire that dance before you, you feel a heavy weight settle over your shoulders.
Will’s cloak is draped over you, providing a comforting warmth that you gladly huddle into. A contented sigh escapes your lips, as you settle onto the ground beside the warm glowing embers. Your lover is quick to pull you into his arms, clinging to you as though you were the most precious jewel.
“I’ll keep you warm. I promise.” He vowed, running his hands up and down your arms. The friction was wonderful and soon you were feeling quite comfortable. Leaning back against Will’s chest you gazed up at his face, famed by the silver moonlight, he looked like some ethereal being.
Will leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to your forehead before asking, “Shall we get some rest?”
“I think that would be nice, hopefully our clothes are dried by tomorrow.” You tossed out your reply as you shuffled out of his lap and stood. Pulling the cloak tighter around your shoulders, you watch as Will made his way over to the tent where a thin mattress was waiting.
“Oh! It looks like Victor had thought this through more than I assumed.” He spoke, disappearing into the tent, only to emerge moments later with a stack of fabric.
“It seems he has provided a set of pajamas.” Will laughed, as he held a warm looking nightgown out to you.
Instead of taking the outfit, you pushed Will onto the mattress and wrapped your arms around his neck, the cloak falling away as the tent enclosed you.
“You promised that you would keep me warm.” You teased, pressing your lips to his.
“Well, I can’t go back on such an important promise.” Your lover grinned as you pulled back.
He returned your kiss, and the two of you gladly indulging in each other’s warmth as the cool night marched on around you, eagerly fulfilling that very same promise.

THIS DAY IN GAY HISTORY
based on: The White Crane Institute's 'Gay Wisdom', Gay Birthdays, Gay For Today, Famous GLBT, glbt-Gay Encylopedia, Today in Gay History, Wikipedia, and more …
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1884 – Born: James Elroy Flecker (d.1915); English poet, novelist and playwright. Born in London, and educated at Dean Close School, Cheltenham, where his father was headmaster, and Uppingham School, he studied at Trinity College, Oxford, and Caius College, Cambridge. While at Oxford he was greatly influenced by the last flowering of the Aesthetic movement there, under John Addington Symonds.
He died of tuberculosis in Davos, Switzerland. His death at the age of thirty was described at the time as "unquestionably the greatest premature loss that English literature has suffered since the death of Keats".
His Collected Poems (1916) were published the year after he died at age 30. His poetry shares one trait in common with that of his contemporary, Rupert Brooke: the sexuality is ambiguous. There is no question, however, that Flecker was Gay. His lover was the classicist J.D. Beazley, one of the world's great authorities on Greek vases.
His most widely known poem is "To A Poet A Thousand Years Hence". The most enduring testimony to his work is perhaps an excerpt from "The Golden Journey to Samarkand" inscribed on the clock tower of the barracks of the British Army's 22nd Special Air Service regiment in Hereford.

Lourd was born in New Iberia, Louisiana. His brother, Blaine Lourd, is an investment advisor. He attended New Iberia Senior High School, where he played the lead in several high school musicals. He earned a degree from the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism in 1982.

Lourd married Bruce Bozzi, the co-owner of The Palm, on October 12, 2016, and Lourd legally adopted Bozzi's daughter, Ava. 1983 – Andrew Hayden-Smith, born Andrew John Smith, is a British actor and television presenter best known for his work with CBBC.
Auditions for popular CBBC children's serial drama Byker Grove were held at his school and he won the part of Ben Carter, making his first appearance in the eighth series of the show in 1995.
Initially just using the name Andrew Smith, he appeared as a guest on Saturday morning CBBC show Live & Kicking with several other characters from the show. Smith soon became a regular guest on the show. This led to appearances on other shows and also in teen-magazines, as well as two pantomime appearances. In 2001 he applied for Equity membership and was accepted under the name Andrew Hayden-Smith (Hayden being another surname in his family), as the name Andrew Smith was already taken.
In 2004, the ex-Byker Grove actor and CBBC presenter Andrew did the unthinkable for a young man on kids' TV - he told the world he was gay. At the risk of being outed by a newspaper, he beat the tabloids to the punch and did an interview with Attitude magazine:
"Coming out is pretty scary. It's bad enough when you're almost certain that the majority of people around you will be totally cool with it. I was 21 and presenting kids TV at the time and was commended for what everyone kept saying was such a brave step."
It did his career no harm, and he's proved an inspiration - and eye candy - for young gay men across the country.
Andrew has since appeared regularly on stage and in Doctor Who. Hayden-Smith appeared in the episodes "Rise of the Cybermen", "The Age of Steel" and "Doomsday" as Jake Simmonds in the 2006 series of Doctor Who. He returned to CBBC having completed the filming, but decided that he wished to concentrate on acting. His final day of presenting was on 7 July 2006, the day before his third and final Doctor Who appearance.

1985 – The San Francisco Board of Supervisors passed legislation to protect people with AIDS from discrimination.
