There's no better novel a weird person who spends all their time daydreaming can read than Umineko because it speaks so tenderly of the power of fantasy and escapism, while at the same time recognizing the importance of moving on and facing reality. Watched Swarm the new show about the black butch serial killer who's a stan of a fictional singer (it's Beyonce 🤫) and it was good. Just came out today, wonder if it's gonna popular on here since it's about a dyke whose innability to contend with the fact that she's in love with her adoptive sister makes her instead obsess over a celebrity who reminds her of said sister. And then when the sister commits suicide, our girl Dre goes off killing anyone who badmouths not-Beyonce on Stan Twitter as a roundabout way to avenge her sister for the abuse she suffered from men. Eventually she finds happiness and an stable relationship, but destroys it all anyway because she's unable to let go of that ideal woman she constructed on her mind and which she'll never have (adoptive sister is dead, not-Beyonce is equally out of reach). Also there's a bit with cannibalism! This site likes that
