not gonna lie the show thus far has felt like rick riordan just subtly rewriting his book the way he would do it now to better develop characters and relationships and such and personally i’m here for it because it means we get shit like the consensus song and medusa being a sympathetic villain because girl she was a victim !!

while we're on the topic of talking about changes the pjo show made that i love, im glad they didn't push the whole Annabeth saying she and Percy *have* to be enemies because athena and Poseidon have beef. Instead she's just this cryptid autistic strategist 12 yr old who stalks Percy and pushes him into the water. She's like "hmm this white boy will perfectly serve my purpose and schemes" and she's so real for that

see for a moment with ares telling the kids to 'play their cards right' and them only refering to it as the lotus casino (no hotel), I thought they might do something funny where hermes would be like 'I'll help if you can beat me, the god of gamblers, at a game' and percy would reveal he's a crazy good card shark bc he's watched gabe lose play poker so many times, and he wins. but ALAS.

Knowing how Hades is in the show now it’ll be really funny to see him and Nico interact bc Nico will be all Dark and Depressed in the underworld and Hades will just be like “son… please… you’re killing the vibe”

the scene where percy is trying drive the taxi out of the parking garage is the most intense scene of the whole show. i was there with him. we fought that battle together. i held my breath.

This is the guy who will ask THE GOD OF WAR if he’s scared to fight him, hold up the sky, fall into Tartarus, save Olympus AND defeat the monsters it takes the other hero’s years to defeat
