went a little hard on ranked in Mario Kart Tour. dropped a few tiers purposefully the last few tours and stocked up on high end tickets because i knew we were entering the last tour with new content soon. glad i got Gold Mario but he’s very mid :/

#mario kart tour #he attracts nearby coins but like hardly #so i don’t think he’ll be much of an asset if people are planning on playing the game going forward #but anyways with the new content ending #i am currently missing 2 pit crew toads (purple and green) because the week one came out i was like ranked 82 #and those bitches did not loosen their grip #and the other week i was so high i couldn’t see and had a terrible trip #i’m also missing penguin toadette because i assumed she would be in the shop at a discount at some point and she literally has never been #which is so weird #she’s in the shop every week but i am not paying full rubies for a shit trash tier alt that’s been around since like #2021 #and i’m missing the blooper and hammer bro mii suit for similar reasons #ranked was so difficult with the blooper suit even when i dropped cash for extra tickets i couldn’t keep up #and the hammer bro one is just kinda ugly so i always skip it

The Toad Brigade, as seen in many recent Mario series games, consists of six members: Captain Toad, Toadette, Hint Toad, Banktoad, Mailtoad and Yellow Toad, each of which have a unique color scheme (in addition, Purple Captain Toad appears as a separate character in two-player contexts, who also has a unique color scheme). As such, there are no two Toads of any single color on the brigade.

However, in the Lost Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey, which features the Toad Brigade, two blue Toads appear. The footage starts showing off one of them, and speeds up to show Mario moving to the location of the other. The second Toad is the established Hint Toad, who also appears in other locations in the game. The first blue Toad, who does not have glasses, appears only in this location.

This makes this blue Toad either a unique extra member of the brigade who only appears in this one location, or the result of an oversight whereby the developers forgot that the blue Toad from the brigade is already present, and placed another blue Toad into the area.

We have a second batch of them Mario redesigns! and it's. a meaty on lol. Characters covered are Rosalina, Pauline, Donkey Kong, Candy Kong, Yoshi, Birdo, Toad, Toadette, Toadsworth, Kamek, and then a reference for standard Toads, Goombas and Koopas!

For Rosalina I had the vision of two forms - her real, Goddess of the Firmament look with full etheral look, and her "chilling on a planet" form, looking a bit more human and average (though keeping her golden pupils. Her human form's look is sorta a more casual adaptation of her canon dress. As for Pauline, I didn't really change much, just added purple to her pallete as well as some moon decorations because Odyssey. She wears a Peach pendant for the same reason Mario wears a Bowser pin. Her casual look is loosely based on her Super Golf outfit!

I HAVE ALWAYS, ALWAYS STRUGGLED DRAWING DK. So with him I set out to make him easier for me to draw overall, which was really just. adding eyebrows lmao. He's a bit closer to his pre DKC design in that way! As for his outfit I knew I wanted him to have camo pants and the vest seemed to fit. For Candy I just looked at every single design of hers and then adapted them into something less horny overall. I also have her a tail for extra flair. Overall she took more from her DKC cartoon design but I do like how she ended up!

Yoshi and Birdo, like DK, are characters I struggle drawing, so I also adapted them to something I can do. I gave Yoshi a tropical look since y'know. tropical island, and might draw him in something more adventury later on. As for Birdo I simply wanted to channel ✨her✨

Toad and Toadette! they didn't change all that much other than looking more human and making Main Toad have a heavier build so he stands out amongst the common Toads.

As for the "my king died and all he left me is his infant child to raise" pair, I didn't change Toadsworth much other than making him look visibly older beyond the grey mustache. I went HAM on Kamek to make him distinct from other Magikoopa, hence the blue flame designs which mark his higher rank. He also has his shell over his robe now!

Lastly we have what's considered "the standard look" of all 3 main species of the Mushroom and Koopa Kingdoms. Not much else to say!

Stray Kids Playing Mario Wonder: Headcanons

A/N: so i've been playing mario wonder with my sister and suddenly inspiration hit, hope yall enjoy this because i sure as hell did

tw: swearing but like once

chan:

has to play yoshi because he's Secretly Awful at Video Games™ 1.0

once he realises he can slurp things up with yoshi's tongue he does it constantly, even when there's nothing to attack, and continues to imitate the noise long after the boys have finished playing

does this really cute facial expression that looks nothing like yoshi but the boys don't tell him that because he looks really smol and adorable

plays blue yoshi because he likes 'his little purple booties'

fake cries with Yoshi every time he does the weird fluttering thing after a jump

100% puffs his cheeks out every time he catches stuff in Yoshi's mouth

in general a precious cutie patootie when they play so the boys don't yell at him when he dies by falling into lava for the 30000th time

minho:

takes out every single enemy they come across, regardless if it needs to be killed or not

the boys switch on the badge that gives money when enemies are killed but then lino maxes out the coins so they switch it back off

plays blue toad secretly wishes he could be toadette but he's not gonna take it from felix

his favourite power up is the fire because with it he is DEADLY - best believe he'll be keeping it, enemies aren't getting near him with that shit

willing and able to steal people's controllers if they can't jump somewhere so he can do it for them

in general, he's super deadly and not to be messed with, carries a lot of the time and develops a tunnel vision mode where he can filter out the antics going on around him (mainly screaming because changbin died again)

changbin:

Secretly Awful at Video Games™ 2.0

delivers a huge speech about his love for bowser every time he appears, followed by an optional peaches duet with felix

lives for the boss fights even though they're not all that, cheers very loudly every time he hits bowser junior

gets personally offended if he gets attacked by one of the npc characters, gets even more offended when he inevitably fails to kill them

tries to move around when there are cut scenes (everyone can just hear him fiddling with his joystick)

started off playing daisy (hyun took peach) but then got banned so is a yoshi - he took red yoshi because he thinks he's the most badass

in general, he is the reason why the boys playing mario wonder is so chaotic

hyunjin:

refuses to be anyone but peach

extra dramatic when he dies, and cries irl whenever peach hits her head on the ceilings until minho threatens to feed him tissues

makes everyone stop if he wants to investigate some tubes, then sulks if there was nothing there

laughs hysterically whenever one of the yoshis have to carry an elephant powered up character, and tries to jump on chan/changbin's back at any given moment because his 'legs are tired'

actually manages to not die despite not being invincible like the yoshis or nabbit but is also sort of useless

enjoys the scenery in the background way too much (thinks the fluff puff peaks are super aesthetic, and it's fair enough)

in general, he's very dramatic (who's surprised) and highkey thrives off the chaos changbin creates

jisung:

huge chaos along with changbin

is actually good but plays nabbit because he tends to try to do crazy things and die so the boys ban him from playing a player that takes enemy damage

purposefully takes the power ups even though they don't work on him just to deprive minho everyone else

can and will freestyle/hum over the music while he runs around in the game, jumping on shit

loud screeching ensues every time they get a wonder seed and change into goombas/other trippy things because he thinks it's so cute

in general, just as chaotic as changbin but dies less + his freestyling over the music is kinda cool

felix:

plays toadette

massive cutie when he plays

copies game characters noises except in his extremely low voice or sings peaches when bowser comes on screen

always makes sure to squeeze changbin's biceps console changbin when he dies

always the one to revive people when they die, which leads to minho not letting anyone else revive him apart from felix

in general is seriously cracked but always waits for everyone to catch up when he plays (that one time when chan couldn't for the life of him climb up that one wall)

seungmin:

cracked

ruthless

purposely avoids people if they need reviving

fights with jeongin to get top of the flagpole

does rock paper scissors with jeongin every time they play to see who is mario and who is luigi

has to have the little crown about his head at all times, if not, he's going to do anything in his ability to get it back

roasts anyone who dies by falling off stuff (mainly changbin)

likes to dash while hitting enemies away with his trunk when he's got the elephant power up

in general, he's deadly and jumps with terrifying precision - this boy is never gonna die because of skill issue

jeongin:

alternates between luigi and mario because of seungmin

secretly likes luigi more but he knows seungmin wants mario so pretends he also wants mario

sometimes looks up the secret easter eggs etc. but he normally spots them before he needs to look it up

favourite power up is the bubble one because he likes jumping on the bubbles

makes sure to sit as far away from hyunjin as he can otherwise hyunjin will deafen him/cling onto him/do that thing where he agressively messes up jeongin's hair

in general, he's good - not as good as felix but he's unflappable and not distractable so tends to be seungmin's main contender

Scene I did my OCs in my AU, for their designs and anything, I thought it would be fair if each of the Mario Characters a redesign in my version. Some I design them will be the same but change it up a little bit. Bio: Waluigi is the twin brother of Wario. Unlike Wario he didn’t care about earning the family respect as long as he stick to his game on tennis. By the time he reached adulthood, Warios parents kicked him and Waluigi out and had to rent to an cheap house. This lead to Wario to leave Brooklyn and ran across the country striking a treasure hunt and savagely fought weakling and pirates. When he return to Brooklyn, he was getting bored and tried after the adventure and settled down and gained an idea after watching a best video game commercial. Decided to make the best ones ever and called his gang. He tries to get Waluigi to join but he rather refuse. Wario and Waluigi would ended up getting into a heated fight and would ended up sucked into a World of Mushrooms and Koopas and were separated from each other while, During the time on Waluigis first few years in the Mushroom World he went on to be a strangely successful tennis player and popular dancer. After being reunited with his twin and cousins, Waluigi would joins them into any sporting and go kart events.

After Mara arrived at the Mushroom World, Waluigi would be happy to train her and so her many other adventures to this Mushroom World just as long if anyone don’t get on her bad side.

But... inbetween games, Purple Toad vanished

In the first level of Treasure Tracker, you can find the Brigade... and Purple isn't here

Well, that's just one game, maybe it was a one time-

In 3D World's Switch rerelease, you can find the Toad Brigade, and Purple Toad is missing... he's been replaced by Toadette

Now, Toadette's great, BUT I WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS! JUSTICE FOR PURPLE TOAD! HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE BRIGADE JUST LIKE THE OTHER FOUR!

It’s finally time to show y’all why I love Toads so much…cuz I have toad OCs!! 6 of them to be exact…now my gf Tilly did create that red toad over there and came up with the concept of the purple toad (I finally gave him a proper design lol) but check out the thread to see what they’re all about!

Berry (Smoker Toad, Bucken-Berry): The main character of (the wip series I should really show off more) Smoker Toad RP, Berry always manages to find trouble, even if he isn’t looking for it. In the past, he and his brother Gold gained fame from saving the Princess during the cake incident, earning the nickname Bucken-Berry. But while his brother enjoyed it, Berry noticed that saving Peach became repetitive and her citizens expected him to act differently. Similar to his brother. To keep up a good reputation and such…and his girlfriend at the time Toadette wasn’t helping, only dating him because of the fame. One day he was done, and went on strike as he ran away from his hometown, breaking up with Toadette after she took his place. Traveling with his best friend Razzy, the two of them eventually end up in Dark Land. Berry was looked down on, and eventually fell into a life of addiction, earning his nickname Smoker Toad. But even after seeing the darker parts in life, he ever lost his heroic heart, and he’ll be rewarded for such heart someday…

Gold (Ala-Gold): Toad Town’s remaining humble star, Gold is a sweet, brave, and dedicated toad who takes pride in protecting Princess Peach and her citizens, earning the nickname, Ala-Gold. Rumors have it that he has a crush on said Princess…but you better keep it a secret!! He’s always willing to help and look at the brighter side of things unlike his brother (whom he looks up to very much). Inspired by Peach’s letters to Mario, he particularly loves to spend a good afternoon brewing tea and writing letters to all of his loved ones <3

Razzy (Stripper Toad): (Thank u Tilly for giving birth and design to this beautiful baby boi) A runaway businessman, Razzy always felt similar to his best friend Smoker Toad in which he never quite fit in. The people of Toad Town looked down on his “taboo” interest of making a profitable business out of sexual enjoyment. When his best friend decided to ditch his home, Razzy followed suit. Now in Dark Land, Razzy’s business boomed with interest and he’s become quite the influencer, opening up many buildings (like the strip club, The Mushroom Tip) but always making sure his employees are respected and never losing that chill attitude.

Clover: Guarding the gates of Peach’s Castle, Clover takes pride in his job…even if it’s a bit frightening for him. He aspires to be a brave toady in a similar vein to Berry and Gold, and wishes to teach Cotton all of his “skills” to heighten self-confidence. Becomes unlikely friends with Fawful and gives him the perspective of the toads in Toad Town. Under his hat is a variety of animal related headbands (mostly cat ones). He keeps this a secret though.

Cotton: A young guard in training, Cotton was placed into this position due to his lineage of castle guardians. He doesn’t like his job, but thinks it will boost his confidence. Likes Clover as a mentor but thinks he takes his job way too seriously. Becomes friends with Casadora and Joseph and studies under them when it comes to confidence and a shared interest in sewing.

Distratto: (Thank u Tilly for giving birth to this beautiful baby boi) A techy guy who runs the housing department in Toad Town, specifically the "Bowser's Minions Refugee Shelter Program", Distratto is always putting his nonexistent nose into his computers, most likely not even doing the things he’s supposed to. Wants to hunker down for his taste for groovy tunes, and doesn’t let anybody steer him away from his lifestyle. Aaaand that’s all of them! And heyo jkhgskgj been a while since i posted here hehe :D
