Suddenly thinking about an AU where Vox erased his memories about Alastor and how that might affect the show's timeline.

Though to be honest I just want to think about how Alastor is going to react and feel about waiting for Vox to eventually find out about his return...

Only to find out in the Overlord meeting that Vox completely forgot about him as he smiled at him and offered his hand with a practiced professional air.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Vox from Voxtek, the Leader of the Vees. Are you new around here?"

In this AU, Episode 2 changes drastically. There was never a "Stayed Gone" segment nor was Sir Pentious sent to the Hazbin Hotel to spy on them. Which means that a lot would've changed in this timeline since the First Redeemed would be mostly out of the picture.

And Vox not giving Alastor the time of day means that if Alastor launched his radio show again, he has to slowly win back his viewership instead of having free advertising in the shape of a tv-headed obsessed fool.

Honestly, with how Vox's obsession on Alastor gives him a reliable source of attention and entertainment, he would be rather upset that the TV Overlord wouldn't give him the time of day. Not only that but he completely forgot about him! New? What do you mean new? He has been an Overlord far longer than he had! He is The Radio Demon. And he dares to ask him if HE is new?

What the hell happened to Vox? Why doesn't he remember him? Is this the reason why Vox never gave him the attention he knew he would give him once he realized he returned? What was he supposed to do now?

His feelings are hurt. His ego was bruised.

Vox was never like this.

And he'll be damned if Vox stays that way.

Alastor kills overlords but never killed Vox even though he is confirmed to be an annoyance to him, why why why! A part of me hopes it’s because they were friends and despite his scary persona, Alastor secretly cares but then again I know that’s bullshit and Alastor probably has some crueler scheme going on… anyway I can’t wait to find out more I LOVE their dynamic (mostly as friends but I do love onesided staticradio on vox’s side)

No but where the fuck did Alastor live before he decided to slap a radio tower on the hotel does he just have a bunch of radio towers scattered around the ring of hell with overnight bags stuffed under the broadcasting chairs.

Currently there’s a lot of discussion going on about whether or not Alastor was sincere in saying Charlie was like a daughter to him, and also why he disliked Lucifer—since many people pointed out his eye twitched and he’s annoyed from the moment he showed up, NOT from the moment Lucifer said he hadn’t heard of him or expressed surprise about the bar he (Alastor) made.

I see there are theories floating around about him disliking Lucifer because of Lilith, and while that is certainly possible, I see people are also discussing the possibility that Alastor had an abusive father while he was alive, as it would explain a lot of his behavior.

If that’s the case, then that might have been where his immediate suspicion and dislike of Lucifer came from. He knows that Lucifer is somewhat of a “dead-beat Dad” (although we all now know that’s because of his depression and he does love his daughter a lot), so when he hears that he’s coming to the hotel, he’s annoyed about that. What, he magically wants to be a part of Charlie’s life now? He’s partially projecting about his own issues with his father, but he’s also thinking, “Well, Charlie deserves better than that. I’ll remind her that I’m here as a surrogate father figure and she has her own found family. She doesn’t have to deal with this sub-par treatment from her Dad even if he is Lucifer. In fact, I’ll step up to act as her father just like I wish someone had done for me.” He may also be annoyed that Lucifer can come waltzing in after doing nothing when he, as he pointed out, has been here since Day 1—and yet it’s Lucifer who they all have to work to impress, who still gets the recognition of “Dad.” The lyric “Sadly there are times the birth parent is a dud” also makes me think he’s speaking from his own experience, but it can’t be his Mom because Vivzie said he’s a mama’s boy (and you can kinda tell that from the pilot).

Also explains why he didn’t interfere during their “More Than Anything” song. People theorized he was trying to goad Lucifer into helping Charlie, and while that may be true, if this has something to do with his own father issues, then seeing Lucifer’s genuine love, care, and support for Charlie made him happy. He doesn’t need to interfere because he sees that Lucifer is trying and he’s treating her well, and that’s all he wants. It’s not like his father at all.

Now that last ask has me daydreaming about scenes of a kid-shaped Alastor being a menace to Husk.

Him hopping up onto a bar stool, legs dangling above the floor, and in this tiny squeaky kid voice, "Husker, my good man! A glass of your finest brandy please!"

And Husker just looks at this tiny bastard who owns his soul dead in the eye and asks to see some ID. They have this exchange at least once every. Single. Day.

Jumping on the “about you wanting to write more lucifer” bandwagon, don’t mind me!

I loved your ‘How to Bag an Angel’ fic so much, I’ve never read an Angel/Lucifer fic like it (and was subsequently very disappointed to find that it wasn’t a popular ship); you totally sold me on that rarepair! Absolutely zero pressure, I totally get prioritising writing for your own enjoyment, but would you ever consider writing a continuation based on Angel’s “maybe you can call me daddy”? Because that line made me go 👀

HAHA, okay, confession: I'm absolutely writing a sequel (banged out 2k words today so far baybeeee, pun intended) but it's absolutely also not going to include any daddy kink because while there are few things out there that I find too personally silly to write in a not-joking context, that is one of them.
