CYNTHIA: And wouldn’t you like to tell how meeting each one of them was? NEAL: The first time I spent more than 30 seconds talking to Jimmy was probably two or three days after in Chicago, when we were in the Ambassador East Hotel. I had to take, let’s say, some more “intimate” photos for an article about Led Zeppelin coming out in a magazine called People. I took pictures of Jimmy getting his white suit ready for the next concert and sitting on a couch with his Wailers records, and he showed me his rings and that’s how all of those photos came about.

So as people watch Trolls 3 and notice that Velvet and Veneer remind them of Betty Spaghetti, a fun fact about myself and my family, my Great Uncle Dave, actually helped to make them!

He was on the Ohio Arts Design team who brought Betty to the masses! I about went through the roof when I realized who Velvet and Veneer were supposed to be based off of

Unfortunately my Uncle passed in May of this Year, I know he would've gotten a kick out of Velvet and Veneer,

He worked at Ohio Arts in the 80s/90s/2000s I grew up getting whole sets of these guys as a little kid, I am sure unfortunately we lost the backpack full of them in a move.

But one Heirloom we have still of my Great Uncles adventures is the Etch and Sketch Clock, he received I think 5 of these and my Mom received one, pictured here,

He was good friends with the people on the Etch a Sketch Crew as they were adjacent to each other, he'd help once and awhile too.

My family's got some history with your favorite childhood memories,

And that's not mentioning my grandfather, who turned down a job offer from Walt Disney himself. But that's a story for another time.

In 1999, the speedster known as The Flash began fighting crime in Central City, Oregon, combining the inspiring presence and gentle demeanor of Superman with the facts-driven and logical mind of Batman.

Later that same year, Coast City, California would get its own hero in the Green Lantern, a cocky man who claimed to be an officer from an intergalactic peacekeeping force assigned to this sector of space.

2003 would see the appearance of the Green Arrow, a Robin Hood-like figure who would target and expose corrupt officials in Star City, Washington and surrounds.

Though not as notable as The Trinity of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman, the three Heroes of the West Coast would be instrumental and important in the Silver Age of Superheroes.

speaking of concerts: 1. disappointed that glass animals aren't coming to PGH on their next tour 2. DISGUSTED that seated tickets for their show IN OHIO started at $90

#I swear I saw them in PGH like 2 years ago for between 40-50$.#I just... if you wanted to be seated and not in the tiny nosebleed section of lawn a single ticket was OVER EIGHTY?? FOR GLASS ANIMALS?HELP #I veer towards smaller and midsize bands (popularity-wise) so usually mt concert tickets are reasonable...#like usually in the 40s before fees for floor tickets. I genuinely do not think I've spent over $100 on a ticket before #and I'm so grossed out by the price hiking that's happening!!!! aaaghhhh!!!#and like $90 in NYC I'd understand. but OHIO?
