Mild spoilers for the manga up to this point and I'm too lazy to deeply proof read.

Ciel Phantomhive is all I can think about so here's my thoughts

He's 13. He's a 13 year old kid surrounded by death and dispare. It honestly haunts me how young he is. Like I have siblings that age so when people go on about how anyone he is, what would you expect? This a kid that's pretending to be an adult. He lost his family at 10; he kidnapped, violated, and enslaved at 10; he watched his brother die in front of him at 10; and all people can say is that he's annoying. He's traumatized and a teenager. I'm surprised he's still going.

I cannot stop thinking about how lonely he must be. He's right hand is a demon. His servants are all people who have lost something or had nothing. No one there is capable of having normal conversations or social behavior (besides maybe Tanaka). I don't think he could ever just be 13 and it's kinda upsetting.

Everytime I read about someone close to him dying and the way he just moves on? I know he sad but dang does it hit hard. He doesn't know how to grieve and probably no one will ever teach him how.

He's really alone. Everyone tries, but no one is ever allowed close enough. I think he does it out a fear or as a defense mechanism. It's so much harder to feel loss if there's no one close in the first place. Thinking about Agni and Soma and how it ended and how he was like "This is why I told you not to get involved with me". So he knows he's bad news. Then there's the fact he's pretending to be his twin.

So he surrounded by people who love him because they think he's someone else. He also knows he's the "spare." Which fueled his decision.

He also definitely has self depreciating tendencies as show in the manga. When he has his break downs, we get a peak of just how terrible his mental state is. Sebastian doesn't help either so this man is really going in no actual support system.

His life is on a counter. Once the contract he has with Sebastian is fulfilled, that's it. Even if somehow he doesn't die, what would that do for him? Does he even have a will to live outside this? No matter what happens there will be no real happy ending for our Ciel Phantomhive. His story will always be a tragedy.

Imagine the boys getting cursed to bear witness to “some of the most negatively impactful things in their lives” and they’re terrified, thinking it’ll be stuff like the invasion or Shredder or something-

Only to be met with multiple scenarios of their family. Saying offhand, but hurtful things. Doing hurtful things. Lots of scenarios that were inconsequential to everyone but the one most affected.

And they’re all scrambling, desperate to make sure the others don’t look too deep into it haha it doesn’t really bother them- but they all know the truth. Because they’re all in the same position here. It wasn’t on purpose, and they all know it wasn’t on purpose, but it still hurts.

It’s almost a relief, that they’re going through it all together. That they can apologize for mistakes, and accept that they’ve held onto hurt too long when they could have dealt with it sooner.

And that’s how they break the curse, reversing it into something different, as they’re told that before it leaves them for good they’ll bear witness to the most positively impactful things in their lives. And now they think they’ll see some of their best victories, some of their grandest adventures-

The scenes they see then are of the same cloth as their negative ones. Simple scenes, ones that most wouldn’t remember. Times where someone managed to make someone else smile, times where they were just so content to exist by the other’s side, times where they were just happy being there with their brothers, their family.

It’s the little things that go the farthest, because that’s what you experience the most in life. And they’ll mess up again, of course. Things happen, and they’ll never really know how their actions and words will be taken. But through the good and the bad, they’re family.

Besides - turns out, there’s a lot more good.

saw some speculation on FranklyDear in relation to the audios and i want to toss my two cents in

so all the thing's i've been seeing have been people talking about how they're a couple, but they're not acting like it, so that must be Playfellow's influence making them put distance between each other

but i immediately interpreted it as - they're not there yet. there might be feelings, but they aren't Together. cause in the 14 bug audios, i feel like it's pretty clear that these are snapshots of the neighborhood outside of the show. cameras aren't rolling, there are no influences, it's the neighbors just Existing on their own dime

'cause the conversations are more natural! the characters seem more nuanced! there aren't any sound effects! so if FranklyDear is already established, wouldn't we have "seen" that in their shared audio 8-14? wouldn't Eddie have just called Frank Frank, without the immediate (and somewhat flustered) correction to Mr. Frankly? and wouldn't Frank call him Eddie instead of Mr. Dear? plus, idk about y'all, but that scene was a lil romantically charged. a little flirty - especially from Frank's side. the kind of tension you get from budding emotions, not fully-realized ones

they just seem to be in a before state. the beginning stages. and anyway, i remember Clown saying that revealing FranklyDear as an endgame couple was sort of an Accident? i think we were meant to watch it evolve and figure it out along with the characters, the way we will with any other relationships (that we Definitely are not aware of / confident about yet).

we're still only in the prologue of the story, so it'd make so much sense if Frank and Eddie are not yet Involved. we're on this journey With them

#in a parallel universe there are people arguing over whether or not frank & eddie are a Thing #im kinda thankful that's not our reality lol #i think it's going to be fun just sitting back Fully Aware and watching these two Go Through It #i just highly highly HIGHLY doubt they're already together #plus how much more fun would it be to watch it Happen?#to see them experience the conflict and feelings and realizations and how their interactions will likely Change Accordingly #homebogging #welcome home theory #welcome home speculation #before the audios i had a feeling that it would be eddie being the more up-front flirty go-getter of the two #based on clown's art of them & such #but then with the audios eddie is a little more... reserved isnt the right word....#polite? restrained? trying to keep things Amicable and Professional?#cause in 8-14 frank was the more relaxed teasing one while eddie was a bit of a flustered mess #which might've been because of the bug #but yk... he Did rush to correct himself on how he addressed frank...#and the way frank spoke... idk it just sounded like a slightly different Tone than what they usually speak with #more of a casual drawl. more forward - there was a Weight to it #and the 'you don’t need to be that familiar with them in order to get to know them better'#imo that line stuck out as a kind of a wink wink nudge nudge thing #like a Hey. We Could Get To Know Each Other.#twas a classic 'talking about one thing while saying another' phrase - again imo #oh and also its just occurring to me #if the bug audios are 'present day' like i suspect #its entirely possible that franklydear can only 'now' develop bc theyre - well theyre not exactly Free #but playfellow is no longer 'ruling' over them. the influence and pressure - no matter how subconcious it was - is no longer there #freeing them up just enough to maybe... just maybe... truly Feel and perhaps Express interest in each other #just a thought!#that would be another tally in the box explaining why their interaction in the 8-14 audio was Different #there isn't anything holding them back anymore beyond their (possible) own internalized biases & fears & expectations etc

okay so finished product. here's the blue beetle jacket (blue beetacket) inspired by the design by @drempen in their fanart. ill ramble a bit about making it under the cut but overall this was super fun and im excited to wear it to theaters!

basically i wanted a blue beetle varsity style jacket more then life and when it became clear this movie was getting very little promo and probably merch i realized i’d have to do it myself.

the design itself is heavily inspired by these pieces of fanart which i rotated around in my brain for So Long before deciding to make this.

it was actually easier to make than i thought it'd be. but honestly that's just cuz im lucky and know someone with a cricut machine who is much craftier than i am. the scarabs on the back and sleeves i used the cricut machine for. i just got some htv online and then cut and pressed those on.

the letters and numbers are iron on patches. i honestly kinda wanted a "class of 06" patch as a nod to the varsity style and jaimes 06 debut, but unfortunately thought of it too late to get one in time for sdcc (which is where it obtained the slight wear you might see in the first picture)

the "reyes" i embroidered by hand. its super messy cuz i'd only embroidered like two things previously, but i'm pretty proud of how it turned out.

#I hc that red pikmin have tiny little spines‚ like glochids #and that’s why they do more damage #also I tried making the white and purple ones be more root veggie like since they live in the caves #yes that is a root tail. it helps white pikmin with digging #purple also have the tail because again. root like. mayhaps it contributes to their damage too #yellow is just a creature #blue is self explanatory. made it look aquatic with the flower looking lotus like and having sorta? amphibian lookin features?#because you know. they can be in both land and water #I wanted the flowers to all look different but also make them all have 5 petals #to have that be one of the things all pikmin share #also I made purples have umbels because haha get it carrot #idk man I’m just messing around and looking things up I’m not a biology expert #oh wait yeah I made yellow a bit shorter and made the eyes round to kinda match with white?? idk why it’s just cute ig #and Yes I know yellows are the best at digging right now but I like p2 white pikmin lore ok? ok 👍#pikmin #pikmin game
