Hi! I'm new to the yugioh fandom and have been asking around, do you have any fic recs you could share with us? I always love hearing what other people recommend ❤️

I have a lot of recs, it depends of what you're searching for, but I'll make a little selection:

In teaming up to get revenge, they find that they make much better partners than enemies in more ways than one.
If you're into smut (and of age to read it of course), I would heavily recommend the whole work of Fat-Butch-Dyke (@fat-butch-dyke) and Sitabethel (@sitabethel). Fair warning with Sita: they do the best character developments. You think you will go for a fun pwp but be prepared to be a crying mess at some point.
Also Rochelle Echidna (@rochelle-echidna), Ninjam117 (@ninjam117), RelaySoul (@pandabaozi) and DisposableVillain works are to check too. <3 (I couldn't decide for a fic to recommend more than another.)

With dance classes making the young brunette,named Anzu, taking a small adventure into the woods seemed like a nice break. Anzu always enjoyed being out in nature and the true beauty around her.
So, on a nice Sunday afternoon she went alone to the forest that was near the city of Domino. Naturally, she did try to ask the others if they wanted to come with her. But, sadly..they were all busy for one reason or another. It did make Anzu a little sad, but she understood that everyone had their own lives to live.
Though, half way into the forest, Anzu was so memorized by the different trees that she didn’t even noticed ‘something’ hard tripping her by one of the bigger trees. Making the usually graceful female fall straight on her backside.

Ryou is a Tame Naga Yami Sennen buyed a year ago by a strange Egyptian men, namend Marik Melvin Kurei.
since then his little pet/companion lived in his special little Desert Tank, that yami build for him. getting extra Desert Sand from Egypt, plants Rocks and build a nice little pond from art suppelies that a water proffed. everything to make it comftable for the tame gentle naga.
Ryou is a rare Albino Blue point Anaconda Naga that Choke his prey to death. Yami live feeds him with Mice, Fish, birds, every little mamal and Yami get him Fresh food so he eats the best.
being a co-worker by Kaiba Coperation allowes him to get those exlusive things for his loved companion.
both live in a good pet owner realtionship of a deep friendship but ryou watched that things start to change, Yami would go out on dates, smilling silly with deep blush.
it confused ryou and he asked him more then once but the answer was a dreamy look with girlish giggle.
what ryou dont realise, the way he live, the way they lived would change soon enough and all he know it have to do with someone namend Atem Mutou.
/i wanted to start qrite little things to the Pictures as fitting story. so it will be Heartshipping as also Monarchshipping.

Since you're taking a break from writing is there anything you'd enjoy someone to write and gift you? Like any ships or specific tags?
Oh gosh. Getting a gift fic would be amazing. ❤️
I’m just gonna list YGO ships for now, since that’s my current fixation. I really really love Puzzleshipping (Yugi x Yami(Atem), Deathshipping (Ryou x Yami Marik), Rivalshipping (Yugi x Seto), and Boundshipping (Yugi x Thief King Bakura). I know, I know, most of my favorite ships involve Yugi in some way.
If we are talking polyships, I’ve been delighting in Radicalshipping (Yugi x YMarik x YBakura), Mobiumshipping (Yugi x Yami x Atem), and Fealtyshipping (Yugi x Henry x Timaeus). I know all these involve Yugi too.
I love him. Yugi is my ship whore. Orz
Anyway, those are all the ships I’ve sought out for reading recently. Or mused fondly about.
As far as tags I love and seek out, hmmmm. That’s tough, I don’t normally search by tags. But things I like in fics include: horror, soft horror, fluff, cuddling, characters being sweet with each other, magical creatures like dragons, nagas, demons, sphinxes, urmahlullus, werecats, mermen, etc. romance, all the romance, especially human/monster romance, lots of kissing, pining, oblivious idiots in love, happy endings, stuff like that.
If we are talking more nsfw tags I like reading: consent, biting, rough sex, consensual hypnotism, heat/mating cycles (but not in the context of ABO fics. I’m not much into abo fics.) basically I like heat/mating cycle fics but when the characters still have agency, I like when they have choice, self control and willpower.
Things I try to avoid and are squicks for me are: non-con, chloroform (I know this is oddly specific but it’s been an issue before), abuse, excessive or gratuitous angst, and torture.
I know this was quite a bit of things but I wanted to be thorough. I hope this provides enough information though. Thanks for the ask.

Tell me anything about any of your AU's :3 (ooooh and tell me the small things, like what each character's favorite food is or where they find peace of mind or what activities they enjoy)
I've been thinking about which AU I could talk about, so I hope you like the snake boys!
Activities they enjoy the most (naga AU)
Bakura: Napping. If he has nothing else to do, he will just crash on his bed and sleep. Sometimes it becomes an issue for Ryou when the naga decides to use him as a pillow and Ryou finds himself unable to move because there are coils all around him.
Ryou: Gaming. He has a lot of activities he enjoy doing, playing tabletop rpgs, drawings, crafting figurines, trying to summon demons with his ouija board, even baking. But if you give that boy a video game, it's over. He will be stuck playing for hours and forget to eat.
Marik: Taking care of himself. He will spend hours doing his make up, his hair, and finding the perfet clothes. The guys always make sure to use the bathroom before him if they don't want to be late on the morning.
Yami Marik (still debating whenever he is called Kek or Amir in this AU): He doesn't have a particular hobby but likes to try new horror games with Ryou. Most of the time he just go along with whatever the group wants to do.

Thiefship Coloring Book Project
Call for Art Contributions!
Inspired by @sitabethel’s dream, this project is seeking to get a fantasy-themed thiefshipping (Yami Bakura x Malik Ishtar) coloring book professionally printed on high-quality paper for the fandom to enjoy!
We have a manufacturer, and now we just need the art!
Here are some examples of the kinds of pieces that would make a perfect fit:
Fae thieves at a wishing well
Kitsune thieves at a lantern festival
Merthieves in the ocean
Angel/demon thieves among the clouds
Elven thieves in a forest
Ghost Bakura holding hands with Malik
Naga thieves in their den
Thieves training with their kas
Thieves as gods
Thieves as royalty on thrones
You can use these as inspiration, mix and match the ideas, or come up with your own idea!
Once you have an idea, please draw a rough sketch of it and submit it to @thief-coloring-book along with your email address! We'll be happy to give you suggestions and specifications for the design to avoid any trouble you get started on the lineart!
We're just looking for something that gives us an idea of your theme and composition, like this:

Don't forget, please include your email address in your submission so we can get back to you on your rough sketch!

For a character you most relate with
Half of the characters are Projection Central if I’m in the proper mood, but I think Ryou is probably the biggest, partially because he has so little consistently-defined personality in canon. He latches on to new people, is afraid of driving them away, yet doesn’t hold himself back from being excited about strange or grotesque stuff.
For top 3 favorite ships/OTPs/BROTPs
Altershipping (Ryou/Marik/Ymarik) is the one I’m kind of focused on right now, but I also enjoy Flareshipping (Yugi/Kaiba/Atem) and Gemshipping (Ryou/TKB.) I think I threesome (or more, I like Conspire) the most in this fandom.
For a character who started off being your favorite but over the seasons/you got older, your fave character changed (from who to who)
As a kid, I really liked Yami Yugi and Yugi, because that’s who I saw most often when I caught episodes. Now that I’m more in the fandom though, I’m sort of shifting to the Mariks and Ryou/Bakura. I still love those three dearly, but I’m relating more to the walking disasters that are the Ishtars and Bakuras.
For favorite rps of either your own and/or the people you follow
I’ve only ever really done one, which is one I actually have open in skype right now with naga-marik. Bakura drags naga Marik back to Ryou’s apartment, and they’re learning to live with each other, with pretty much all ship mixes of the four of them except Eclipse-ymarik is there- as they’re dealing with being teenagers. It’s fun.
