Ranking the Miracucast by how well they'd cope with receiving a phone call from Marinette at 3 in the morning

Marinette: No, she's not exempt from this. She was most likely already awake, and knows that regardless of circumstance if another her is calling something Serious is happening and she will deal with it accordingly. But she would not be happy about it. 4/10

Alya: This poor girl puts up with so many late night Marinette phone calls. She is exhausted. But she takes it like a champ and routinely provides the support Marinette needs. It ain't much, but it's honest work. Someone please help her. 9/10

Adrien: Yes. 10/10

Nino: I can see Nino being quite the morning person. He would answer the phone and thoughtfully listen to what's going on. Then he would have absolutely no idea how to proceed from there. If Marinette is just calling to get some more Miraculous Muscle that's great, but if it's a problem that needs more brainpower then there will be issues. 6/10

Chloe: She needs her beauty sleep. If Marinette were to interrupt that sleep, the phone is going out the window. Screaming will be involved. Of course, knowing Marinette, Ladybug or Chat Noir is standing right outside to catch said phone to use in conjunction with a Lucky Charm to beat a supervillain or something. Ladybug knows what she's doing by now. 1/10

Sabrina: Would answer the phone thinking it was Chloe. Would be surprised to hear Marinette's voice instead. Sabrina is always eager to please, and would try to help... but most likely that help involves getting Chloe to do something. We will honor your sacrifice, Sabrina. 4/10

Mylene: For some reason I can picture Mylene being Absolutely Down to help Marinette hide a body, and would have the bag and shovel ready right as she answers the phone. I don't have any explanation for this. I really don't. I just feel in my heart it's correct? Mylene doesn't *want* there to be corpses to bury, and would sigh in relief when Marinette confirms she's calling for other reasons. But like. This still feels right. 7/10

Ivan: I don't want to say Ivan sleeps like a rock, but I think he sleeps like a rock. Sorry Marinette, that phone is NOT being answered. 0/10

Rose: Has custom ringtones for all of her friends and catapults out of bed the moment she hears any of those ringtones. Rose will immediately do everything in her power to help any of her friends at any time of day or night. Because that's what friends do. When Marinette asks her to do something oddly specific, she will do it without question and will assume it's Adrien related. She may or may not be right. 8/10

Juleka: Was already awake. May or not be aware of the passage of time. Her ability to function probably increases as the sunlight disappears, if we're being honest, so Marinette will be unnerved by this significantly more cheerful Juleka. This may or may not have an adverse effect on whatever Marinette was planning. 8/10

Kim: He will answer the phone before fully waking up. He will agree to anything Marinette says. He will say "okay, I got it" and then Marinette will hang up and Kim will finish waking up and he will have no idea what he's supposed to be doing. 2/10

Max: Marinette will be very frustrated with Max's auto-responder. Max would be happy to help, but Marinette can't figure out how to navigate all the weird options ("If you need help, press 2, if you need help with aliens, press 3, if you need help with homework, press 4, and if you need help with-") so it'll probably be a half an hour before he realizes he's being called. 3/10

Alix: Before receiving the Rabbit Miraculous, she would answer the phone and provide assistance with copious amounts of sarcastic remarks. Now that she has the Rabbit Miraculous, she gets her significantly more well-rested future self to answer the phone instead. And provide assistance with copious amounts of sarcastic remarks. Alix/10

Nathaniel: While he may not be crushing on her anymore, Nath would still be very eager to help Marinette. Unfortunately he is probably very tired and operating with a less-than-even temper so there will be problems. 4/10

Lila: The entire situation would be hilarious. She would not expect a call from Marinette this early in the morning, and would engage in Death Note-style mental gymnastics to try and figure out Marinette's goal. Does she need help? Why is she calling me if she needs help? Does she need something from me? She knows I would never help her, right? Or is she expecting me to not help and is just calling to brag that I'm not needed? Or, wait, um- Add this to the fact that she's probably very tired and not fully awake means her brain would probably short-circuit and she'd end up helping Marinette out before her thought process can catch up. 5/10

Luka: Oh, Luka, you poor, poor, boy. Marinette is not the only one who comes to you for late night therapy. So many people seek out your assistance at odd times and places, and you will ALWAYS help. You can function, and you do your best, but internally you're just a regular guy who's trying REALLY REALLY HARD to be cool and dependable. You desperately need a break, Luka. But for now I'll give you the credit you deserve. 10/10

Kagami: Her mother keeps her on a very rigid sleep schedule, so naturally she jumps at the chance to be more of a rebel and help Marinette out. Things will get broken. Even if Marinette just wanted to ask Kagami a question, there will still be property damage. 6/10

Marc: There is absolutely no way that Marc can function at all at 3 in the morning. He has been up all night writing, sustained entirely by caffeine and hyperfixation. His brain is starting to collapse from the stress and he can no longer tell fiction from reality any more. He would still try to help Marinette if she called him, but she's learned by now to just let him sleep for the sake of his health. -5/10, but like in a good way

Ondine: Probably wakes up at around this time anyway depending on which sports season it is. She can help just fine, but since she and Marinette aren't that close the chance that Ondine can assist with anything really important is low. 5/10

Aurore:

"Marinette Dupain-Cheng? Why on earth are you calling me this early?" "I need help." "What? I barely know you!" "I'm going to blackmail Alec Cataldi." "...I'm listening."

4/10

Felix: Look you just know he has the weirdest sleep schedule. He's either basically dead to the world or fully functioning without issue. He will help Marinette, though he might need to be coerced. 7/10

Zoe: She will do literally anything that Marinette asks her to. Marinette will feel very guilty about this. 9/10

Gale Ranks: Miraculous Ladybug Classmates

Thats Right! I am going to be ranking Marinette and Adrien's classmates from my Least Favorite to My favorite.

Rules:

I will be judging based on Bustier's Class. So No Zoe, Kagami, or Marc. Even if they hang out.

Marinette and Adrien will be Excluded from this list (Think of them as Honorary 1 and 2 if included)

I will be using all of the episodes that have come out as reference. And there will be potential spoilers up to Episode 20 of season 5.

This isnt about which classmates are the best or worst. Its about My personal like or dislike of a classmate.

Including Marinette and Adrien there are 15 students. So this will be out of 13.

13th. Sabrina Raincomprix

(She doesnt deserve a gif.)

Yea... after the recent episodes I really cant bring any sort of desire to like you. Oh sure Chloé is cruel and Lila is a manipulator... Sabrina is just a spineless worm that lets others get hurt or even ASSISTS in it. There is a corrupt cop joke here but its too easy. Also even with that she has no personality outside of Chloé Lackey. Chloé wouldnt be able to pull off most of her evil schemes without someone doing the dirty work and sorry Sabrina, thats you.

12th. Chloé Bourgeois

A moment of silence for the wasted Character potential... Okay. So yea Chloé sucks. Granted the season 4 and 5 have gone so over the top with showing that season 2 and 3 were not actually important that it causes massive whiplash. I cant find myself hating her like I can with sabrina. I just pity this character. And that is even AFTER I saw what happened in Derision, though at this point I have no interest in seeing a redemption. The writers could have made her heel turn back to evil more believable IF they did it gradually with more effort. But its clear that there was no effort to do so.

11th. Lê Chiến Kim

This man went from top 4 on my list to BARELY missing the top 10. Just goes to show how much one episode can change one's view on a character. In some ways I actually would say I like him less than Chloé now... but Kim at least did apologize and did say he would make an effort to be better. But MAN, when I found out what he did I was watching Chat noir BEAT HIS ASS ON LOOP. You know I was about to give that boy THESE HANDS for that s***. Derision really shifted everyone's view on this once lovable himbo, now he is a dumbass.

10.Rose Lavillant

I just dont like her design that much. Her personality is the stereotypical bubbly girl. And while she does get some exploration on why that is... its never touched on again. Also I am a touch salty about Migration. Juleka was expecting to hear a confession but WE ALL GOT BAITED AND SWITCHED. Guess the show cant have any girl confessing to another girl unless that girl being confessed to is Marinette.

9. and 8. Ivan Bruel and Mylène Haprèle

So to me these two are basically interchangable in terms of ranking. Ivan is the gentle giant that is misunderstood. Mylene is the soft scarred cat that wants the world to be a better place. If I had to pick, i would say I prefer Myléne more, but thats because she gets more character development.

7. Lila Rossi

So Lila always struck me as a character with huge potential. The problem is the writers have no idea how to write a cruel, calculating and manipulative character without dumbing down everyone else to make her seem smart. Now in season 5 I have found myself starting to like her more. Is it because the writing got better? F*** no, its just been more fun with her in it. She is just clearly having more fun with it, and just seeing how the ridiculous plans somehow work almost makes it funny. Also its clear she is being set up as the next big bad, so I cant wait to see how convoluted the show makes her to make her WORSE than Gabriel. So unlike Chloé whose cartoonish evilness feels like a waste, with Lila it feels more fun to watch.

6. Max Kante

He built Markov. Plus after Gamer he has been a pretty solid character. I also do enjoy his support of his Idiot Friend Kim. Even if Kim doesnt deserve it. Also, he has the best transformation sequence. Boy goes WAY too hard for it. I also just think he is a charming character.

5. Nathanael Kurtzberg

Tomato son. While it took me some time to forgive him for Reverser. He is basically a shipper with Marc and its a fun time. I enjoy their plans and adorable antics. But part of me still misses season 1 Nathanael, wonder if he still had a crush on Marinette. Not much else to add, just that he is fun to have on screen and his english dub voice is still dope.

4. Juleka Couffaine

She has my favorite design of the Classmates. She does develop more as the show goes on, I would say she has the most consistant development of the classmates outside of the top 3 contenders. Juleka is now the lead of Kitty Section, and has some incredible Lyrics within her. She wants to stand out and wants to stop being a wall flower. I can respect her guts and attempts at growing and improving.

3. and 2. Alya Cesaire and Nino Lahiffe

The respective best friends of Adrien and Marinette. They are likely the most known about classmates of the Miracuclass. Well Alya is. Nino sadly doesnt get as much delved into. That being said, both are supportive friends and go to great lengths to help them. Nino is surprisingly the more chaotic of the two resulting in him thinking Chat noir was stealing his girl OR forming a resistance against Monarch. Alya learning her best friend's identity and being her emotional rock. Now I thought I would put Alya higher than Nino, but Nino's charm and antics make it hard to dismiss and so I have them both as a tie. Though they also had some moments (Thanks to bad writing) that make me cringe a bit.

1. Alix Kubdel

The most consistently written character in the entire class. The Time travel hero, a character that in my opinion is slept on a lot more than she should be. While I am not crazy about time travel, I do enjoy Alix as a character. She is fun loving and ready to call people out on their BS, also she gets some great lines. She also shows how much of a supportive friend she is to nathanael, Marinette, Ladybug and Chat noir. Its sad she had to go into the time stream to hide from monarch, but it is still a fun way to send a character off for a time

Alya: Pop music girlie. Probably stuff that leans a bit more towards hip hop but she mostly likes anything w a beat to it. I could see her liking stuff like fleetwood mac too tho. Nino: As an amateur musician himself, listens to a lot of obscure genres you've never even heard of and has very strong opinions on all of them. Marinette: Canonically a fan of Jagged Stone who I think is like a glam rocker? Idfk. Marinette queues up an 11 minute prog rock song like "yeah the first 8 minutes are kinda slow but after that it gets really good." Adrien: Pure penis music. Living under his controlling father has caused his music taste to develop the same way mold grows at the back of your fridge. Do not hand this man the aux cord.

Bethany's Bizarre Miraculous Reviews: Episode 3-2 Animaestro

I decided on a new format because the bulk format felt too distanced from the older episodes. Here's my notes on this episode:

Oh hey, the artstyle people wish this show was in!

The fact that Adrien VA'd Chat Noir shocked me a little. Makes me wonder if he does other voicework. Danganronpa came out later than normal in this timeline and Adrien voices both Makoto Naegi and Nagito Komaeda

Damn, even without the whole "teaming up with Chloe" thing, Marinette was very unswag in this episode. Even her parents were aware she wanted to go to simp for Adrien.

On that "teaming up with Chloe" thing, even is she was hesitant and regretful the entire way it was still anti-swag to team up with the person who feeds off of your suffering and go after the one romantic partner for Adrien that sees him as a person rather than a trophy.

On the topic of Kagami, Go Girl! Intimidate Chloe and shut her down like that!

I'm surprised That Asshole let Chloe harass him like that. Did something happen when he was writing Miracle Queen that made him see Chloe as the bane of his existence?

As for the Akuma, aside from it partly being Reflekta done right with the themes of sight, it was kinda sus. You gain shapeshifting powers and you transform into a woman multiple times? Oh right. Akuma personalities aren't to be trusted.

I know Lila said this to cause conflict, but she’s oddly right. As class rep it’s Marinette’s job to talk to teachers if someone in class falls behind (even if she doesn’t like that person).

You’d think that with the power that comes with the role, the writers would’ve had her speak up sooner and call Chloé out on her laziness to the teachers in earlier seasons. And if Marinette has too much to do, they should’ve have her simply stepped down and pass the responsibility to someone else she trusts.

I know that Astruc meant this scene to be yet another condemnation of Chloé, but it also ends up highlighting Marinette’s shortcomings in her role as class representative and her blatant favouritism when it comes to reaching out to people. There was no reason to make Marinette (who’s supposed to be the “better role model”) sound so nasty and condescending. At this point in the story, Chloé shouldn’t even be a blip on her radar. Marinette has bigger issues to deal with, and a middle school mean girl is not one of them.

Astruc really needs to let this feud he has with a fictional teenage girl he created and wrote to be like that go and focus on the story.

It’s underrated that even before any supervillainy happened, Gabe and/or Emilie were going around loaning other rich people the ability to create children that could be forced to obey. (Implied by Félix’s play to have been an exchange of favors, for personal gain.) Casually helping bring a child into a world where they can be abused and manipulated for their entire life with almost no hope of escape and then not worrying about it because it’s not their problem. It’s fine, surely.

And then later if I’m understanding correctly, Gabriel put an akuma in the same object as Kagami’s amok, therefore almost tricking Ladybug into permanently killing her, and it was just an accident because he truly has that little interest in Kagami? And this was after he said all that shit to Félix that one time? I think he should have been dangled like a piñata so any interested sentikids could take turns hitting him with a bat

#i think you can assume duusu would have told all his holders about amoks bc he wasn’t in his right mind #like even if he might normally try to deflect and withhold exact details under the ‘they are going to make a child’ circumstance #he couldn’t then #but if you think gabriel and/or emilie were the ones who told colt and tomoe how amoks worked #instead of just pretending it was a special object that needed to be kept safe. then. wow.#i interpret this idea as storytelling about power and rich fucked up families enabling each other and closing ranks around child abusers #miraculous ladybug

I made a Tier list of all the episodes.

To Explain the Tiers:

Gimmi Gimmi!: (Episodes that are 10/10 or have a special place in my heart. They brought to the table what they wanted and more)

Miraculous: (Episodes I feel are 9 out of 10. They are great and are just missing one thing from being higher)

Solid: (Episodes that are 8 out of 10. They dont do anything incredible but are good episodes to watch, and do what they wanted to do pretty well.)

Decent: (Episodes that are 6 or 7 out of 10. They are fine episodes maybe they didnt exceed expectations, but are decent watch)

Mid: (Episodes that are 5 out of 10. They arent bad, but they arent great. they are just watchable. I wouldnt seek these episodes out, but I dont mind a rewatch.)

Boring: (Episodes that are 4 out of 10. Episodes that I kind of glaze over in my mind, nothing offensive about them, just kind of bleh, usually only have one or two scenes in them that are fun.)

Bad: (Episodes that are 3 out of 10. This is where episodes enter a realm of cringe or just annoy me in some way. Something I dont like revisiting but will watch on a binge)

Trash: (Episodes that are 2 out of 10, usually are really dumb or have bad writing. Mainly have only one or two things that keep me from despising the episode.)

Gabriel's parenting: (Episodes are the worst of the worst, These are the episodes that are 1 out of 10 or even 0 out of 10. These episodes do something that Piss me off to such an extent I cant consider them good. The writing or the plot holes are just too much that I cant enjoy them)

You will notice a few episodes are missing, but I will post my thoughts on them here:

Confrontation was mid Collusion was trash Revolution was Solid MAINLY because of the Adrinette kiss and nothing else Representation was Miraculous because of both the Catharsis of watching Adrien vent to his dad and the Lore drop Conformation would be solid if it was stand alone, but because it is associated with The season 5 finale it is trash And Re-Creation is in Gabriel's Parenting tier

These are not completely in order except for the Top tier and bottom tier, I will be writing my new top 10 after this. So stay tuned

My mum despises cats. So I asked her to rank all Cat holders (minus new cat)

4. Chat Noir first of all. I don't know why she doesn't like him. What's there not to like??

3. Chat Blanc I was surprised Blanc boi beat Noir. Maybe she just prefers white cats.

2. Lady Noire She had no say on why she preferred Mari over Adrien. Maybe it's more of the green accents?

Catwalker I was surprised he topped everyone. For starters he had green hair. Sure walker isn't that bad but still.
