In my little hc world, Sirius spends at least one afternoon a week in detention with mcgonagall for his various crimes. He is her best student by far, and somehow, despite his detentions one of the top students in his class. Sirius starts off as defiant and angry, always tries to antagonize her, but she starts to find a pattern in the reasons for his detentions: usually he misbehaves to cover up another students failure in class, and creatively so. His antagonizing seems like a way to find her boundaries, to find how hard her punishments can get. So, she replies with warmth. Brings tea and biscuits to their detentions, makes sure to talk to him. And he actually opens up. Slowly, sometimes despite himself.
Their detentions morph into a mix of him helping her with her classes, and them just talking.
And she finds he starts to misbehave in classes when he actually needs to talk

Loser Baby~ (Marxolor)
When I first heard this I thought to myself... "this is their song."
In the KBASW AU, they're very similar in nature, and they're brought together through circumstances... both are losers. And that is what makes their relationship so beautiful ~
And yes I changed some of the lyrics to fit Marx better~
Keep reading for extra lore/ spoiler-ish content
I've decided to hit two birds with one stone...knock out a few questions I had...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah, the Marxolor/Magolor asks have been stewing in there... Sorry for taking so long but I FINALLY learned how to draw Magolor.
He plays a big role in the story... he is pretty much very close to his game counterpart, but his reasons and motivations for the Master Crown are very different.
The Master Crown was created and owned by his great-grandmother... Minerva Mim also known as... MAD MADAM MIM. (And for those who aren't familiar with Disney's The Sword in the Stone.) Who was the ruler of Halcandra during her time...
Magolor's full name is Magolor Mim
youtube
But she's also a mix with Harry Potter's Minerva McGonagall.
(And yes) she's connected with Lady Celestine (who is this KBASW Merlin), and they were best friends. She's the reason why the Ancients & Halcandrans did business. Halcandran techolong & the Ancients magic. A deal Sir Icarus tried to secure but could not negotiate at all...
However, Celestine managed to get it with ease... (*cough* bribed her way*. ) Over time they did become genuine friends... I'll expand on her later... In short, she was basically the only one whom Celestine told of her alter-ego, Merlyn (Sir Arthur figured it out).
She was snarky, eccentric, and a bit vain at times, but at her core was a good person.
Celestine brought out the best in her and Minerva brought out the adventurous side of her and encouraged her to be bolder. (BTW she was the number one Celarthur shipper).
However, after Celestine's "execution" (secretly they crystalized her): Minvera refused to do business with the GSA & the Ancients due to her friend's unfair trial... despite the threats they made to remove her from power if she continued to remain loyal to Celestine... but no matter how much they threatened her she still couldn't do it...
As a result, the Ancients removed her from her seat as ruler... and the GSA tried to arrest her for siding with a "traitor." However, she didn't go down without fighting. "If I can not have my crown... NO ONE CAN!" Cursing the crown that there will be no more another ruler of Halcandra... and using it to erupt the volcano that resided on the planet... creating its now, current state... becoming MAD MADAM MIM. (But in truth, she was just grieving... loss of her best friend. )
After that, the Ancients ordered to get rid of any descendant of Madam Mim's lineage. And thus the GSA hunted down and exterminated every living relative of Mim's household. However one survived the carnage.
Magolor is the lone survivor of his entire family's... orphaned and on the street... struggling to survive. He did everything to keep himself afloat... even if he had to BEG, STEAL, OR BORROW. HE'D DO IT!(There are a few more things... Magolor had a connection to the Sqeak Squads and Daroach, but that's a story for another day.)
Eventually, he finds out about his heritage and the fact that his whole household was wiped out due to... HER LOYALTY TO ONE PERSON. BAH, DANG IT GRAN WHAT WERE YOU THINKING I COULDA BEEN A KING AND YOU THREW IT AWAY FOR FRIENDSHIP?! From that, you can probably see why Magolor isn't so keen on the value of it since the very thing pretty much wiped out his entire family... And thus began Magolor's search for the crown...
Magolor's betrayal, & redemption does happen like in the game:... does his little shop, makes his amusement park. However, he does a few extra things that connect to the Kirby anime... Magolor manages to revive Chill and rebuild Kirby's robot dog for him (episode 12). (After that, the gang was won over by Magolor...)
Kirby's robo-pet is actually a big thing in the KBASW, he's basically the equivalent of Kirby's iPad/computer.
With this Magolor is fully redeemed, but his arc's not quite done just yet... he still can't help but feel something is missing in his life. Yes, he's learned the value of friendship and junk... he has friends now but... How could he still feel alone when he was people around him.. a feel that he could only describe as underlining emptiness.
Enter Marx. And as I said in the Marx post... Marx saves Kirby ( I won't say from whom yet but) he gets injured the gang wants to help him but... He didn't want a pity party and tried to get away.
Marx: I DON'T NEED YOUR HEL-! *FACE PLANTS ow...
Everyone: You need our help~
Marx wasn't comfortable staying in Dreamland to recover (he knows people *cough* Bun wouldn't take too kindly of him returning), so to compromise, they cashed in a favor from Magolor... Resulting in Marx being delivered by the gang... via kitten in a basket.
Kirby: Hi Mags, this is Marx... Do you think you can watch him for a bit he's we just need you to watch him so he can recover.
Magolor: Okay, sure... but why is he in a basket?
Marx: HISS *shuts the cover*
Meta Knight: He wanted something with a lid on it.
Mags: Oh~kay *picks up basket* I guess you guys can pick him up when he gets better?
Magolor hoped whatever feral creature they had him watching wouldn't be that much trouble or, at the very least, not bite... but Magolor was pleasantly surprised that Marx seemed... to match him quite perfectly...
Shared his love of ancient relics & magic, sarcastic humor, and a wick wittiness similar to his own. And not just interest but personality-wise as well. Marx had an unapologetic straightforwardness that he appreciated, along with a few oddities that he found strangely endearing...This unexpected guest seemed to fit seamlessly into his life... it actually felt nice to have a companion like this.
Marx at first didn't know what to expect when he was dropped off at Halcandranss doorstep. He assumed that he was being sent to some sort of happy hospital facility, where they were gonna baby him and be monitored 24-7. NO FREEDOM AT ALL, HE'S JUST GONNA BE A CAGED ANIMAL!
But no Mags allowed him to do as he pleased... once he realized that he tried to pretty much annoy Magolor into kicking him out. Using his natural crass, sass, and of course, pranks to do it, however, Magolor didn't fall for any of them. Remaking at each of them describing them as "cute"...
Magolor: Nice try, but... You're not gonna to trick this trickster~
Marx: WHAT!?
Marx assumed Kirby that Magolor was another goody-two-shoes, but... did they bring him to some anti-prank master's house. He should've been angry, but he couldn't help but be impressed. It didn't take him long to stop his fruitless effort... there was nothing else to do but wait till he had a chance to escape.
Marx: "Nothing else, Just sitting and watching this guy... uh what is that you're working on... " leaving being instantly enamored and captivated with Magolor's work. Marx's interest and fascination with Ancient Technology is what drove him to use the Galactic Nova in the first place... which sparked Marx's interest and forgetting his original plans to escape.
Which led him to discover all the similarities they had... However, there was this secret unknown wall the other had up. Wanting to keep there both their "unsavory past beginnings with Kirby."
Magolor didn't want to scare Marx away especially when he was finally starting to get comfortable with him. And Marx not wanting to screw up another friendship he was starting to make, by revealing what he was. Both did not want to ruin the only good thing they had in a while.
When finally Marx recovered, Mags was just about to call Kirby and the gang, and immediately Marx pretended to still be sick. Visibly nervous when the check-in call comes in. This doesn't go unnoticed by Magolor,... so when it comes time to call up Kirby for the update, he buys him more time.
Magolor: I gotcha another week...
Marx: Wait, what...
Magolor: Listen I don't think I can get you another when the time comes so... so you think you can tell me what's going on... Kirby's a nice guy I'm sure he'll-
Marx: But I'm not-
This leads Marx to tell Mags everything about the whole "NOVA FIASCO," and Magolor is just speechless as he reveals each detail. Marx loner he spoke couldn't help but feel like he sunk in even deeper believing he blew it again...
Waiting with bated breath for Magolor to answer expecting him to respond in disgust... only with him to respond with. "Yo, same!"
Thus leading Magolor to reveal his past with the Kirby & the Master Crown, along with his road to redemption. This gives Marx a little hope, but not as much confidence that he could do what Magolor did... But Mags assures him that he's still a work in progress himself and that if he wants to be better he should give himself the chance to do better... after all the first step is always the hardest.
Needless to say, everything works out but even after the whole thing, Marx is still hanging out with Magolor... Hmmm... I wonder why! :3
Thanks again to everyone for sticking around and being patient with the asks... I know I'm taking a while to answer (and the things I promised to be done aren't... sorry, my work schedule is hectic.)
I've kinda hit a bit of a roadblock with the fanfic's art style and recently have been wanting to change it up... but anyhow I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually. (So for now I'm trying to knock out a few more asks).
Hope you enjoy the content and have a great day~

In Defense of Peter Pettigrew: an analysis
Tumblr media
The rat
In all things Peter is considered inferior. He isn’t handsome, or witty, or magically powerful. His biggest accomplishment is his friends. If they’re a blazing bonfire, Peter is a candle in a window. Small, and hardly seen.
The tag along friends
In multiple instances throughout the series James and Sirius are described as inseparable and easy to mistake as brothers. This leaves Remus and Peter as the add on friends, the back up, the followers. The rise of fandom culture has promoted Remus to the same level as James and Sirius in terms of friendship. However canon does not fully support this.
Example one: ‘This was in contrast to the only wizarding photograph on the walls, which was a picture of four Hogwarts students standing arm in arm, laughing at the camera. With a leap of pleasure, Harry recognised his father; his untidy, black hair stuck up at the back like Harry's and he, too, wore glasses. Beside him was Sirius, carelessly handsome, his slightly arrogant face so much younger and happier than Harry had ever seen it alive. To Sirius's right stood Pettigrew, more than a head shorter, plump and watery-eyed, flushed with pleasure at his inclusion in this coolest of gangs, with the much admired rebels that James and Sirius had been. On James's left was Lupin, even then a little shabby-looking, but he had the same air of delighted surprise at finding himself liked and included ... or was it simply because Harry knew how it had been, that he saw these things in the picture?’
Even Harry is capable of recognizing that the real core of the marauders were Sirius & James, and that both Peter and Remus experienced feelings of inadequacy and as though they did not belong; despite being devoted to Potter & Black.
Example 2: 'You say you remember him at Hogwarts, Rosmerta, murmured Professor McGonagall. 'Do you remember who his best friend was?' 'Naturally, said Madam Rosmerta, with a small laugh. 'Never saw one without the other, did you? The number of times I had them in here - ooh, they used to make me laugh. Quite the double act, Sirius Black and James Potter!' 'Precisely,' said Professor McGonagall. 'Black and Potter. Ringleaders of their little gang. Both very bright, of course - exceptionally bright, in fact - but I don't think we've ever had such a pair of troublemakers -*... 'You'd have thought Black and Potter were brothers!' chimed in Professor Flitwick. 'Inseparable!'
When remembered by professors and town folks it is Sirius Black and James Potter who are both remembered for their intellect and close connection to one another. Peter and Remus are spoken of less, and often less favorably.
While the marauders were a gang; the truth was they were four children who shared a dorm and formed a bond based upon proximity and a mutual interest in causing chaos.
The stupid and foolish boy
When the motivation for Peter’s betrayal come up the discussion generally revolves around his lack of courage or weakness in character. While an important aspect to contribute it’s also important to factor in how he felt about his place within both his side of the war as well as his place within the marauders. Let’s take a look at some moments that display how he is viewed by others prior to his betrayal.
Example 1:
Peter Pettigrew: "I got the snout shape, the pupils of the eyes, and the tufted tail, but I couldn't think what else —"
James Potter: "How thick are you, Wormtail? You run round with a werewolf once a month —"
Peter’s intelligence is often disregarded or degraded by his friends, despite the fact that Peter was successfully able to become an animagi at the same time as his friends, he is referred to as thick for simply taking more time to decide on his shape. James doesn’t speak kindly to his friend in any flashbacks or scenes we’re privy to; leading to the probability that this was a normal occurrence.
Example 2:
“Professor Minvera Mcgonagall described Pettigrew as a "stupid and foolish boy" who hero-worshipped Sirius and James. She also stated that Pettigrew was a less than average student and was not capable of fighting with Sirius. She was somewhat harsh with him during their years of student-teacher relationship.” (Pulled from the wiki)
This is another occurrence of how Peter was viewed by people meant to support him. If we circle back to the earlier quote by Mcgonagall we can see that she describes Sirius and James in a much more positive light.
Example 3: Peter being chosen as the Potter’s secret keeper. The whole premise of this stems from Peter’s lack of closeness to his friends; he wasn’t considered close enough to be chosen for such a role and therefore would serve as good protection.
What do these examples show us? Even prior to Peter’s betrayal he is viewed in a negative light.
In particular, his intelligence has always fascinated me. How is it that someone who is described as stupid, not magically powerful, or anything more than a follower is able to pull off his betrayal so completely? Not even Dumbledore himself suspected Peter as the spy, while this can be attributed to people’s low opinion of him. How exactly would someone without some level of cleverness keep up such a ruse? How could frumpy, mild mannered, second rate Peter Pettigrew capable of fooling the most powerful wizard alive and the entirety of the order? How could the rat frame the bright admired Sirius Black and murder 12 muggles if he was magically weak?
These complexities are what makes Peter both so fascinating and pitiful. They lead one to believe the general view of him was either grossly misinterpreted or overtly wrong. Was he just a stupid foolish boy who was weak with fear? Or was he a loyal devoted friend for a decade; who protected his creature friend for years, supported sirius through his estrangement from his family, and willing became the secretkeeper to the potter’s despite the target it placed on his back, who despite all this was simply tired of being treated poorly by the people he put first?
Ultimately we’ll never know, but what an interesting character develops from these contrary qualities.
Conclusion
Finally; let’s discuss the betrayal and the events that follow. Was the betrayal of his entire friend group horrific? Absolutely. Was it really that surprising after one dives into the inner workings of that said friend group? I’d said no. Peter is shown to have deep regret for his actions afterwards and in a turn of events helps Harry, but Peter never betrays Voldemort. Even when he is defeated and presumed dead, Peter stays loyal to him. He performs the ritual to bring back Voldemort himself, a magical feat in of itself. What does this say about Peter’s character? It shows both warring factions within himself but also how he is trapped between loyalty and cowardice. Peter is deeply loyal, firstly to the marauders despite their treatment of him, and later to Voldemort despite the fear and mistreatment he experiences.
Would the circumstances of Peter been different if he felt valued by his friends?
Or was he always destined to serve as a traitor?

Warnings: Mention of Hermione obliviating her parents but it doesn’t happen. Minor Swearing
Ch 1
Hermione couldn't help but wonder how much longer she would be surrounded by her childhood room and in her childhood home. The world that she had grown to love over the last three years had gone to hell in a handbasket as her parents would put it, had she told them everything. It wasn't that she didn't want to tell them, but given her track record of getting into trouble, she found it better to just tell the good stuff and keep the bad to herself. It was bad enough that they nearly pulled her out of school after her second year, and for them to hear that the wizard who killed her best friend's parents was back, well that would just escalate the issue.
She flopped down on her bed, as Crookshanks leapt onto the mattress. “Crookshanks, what am I going to do?” she asks aimlessly knowing full well that the cat couldn’t answer, and he just purred in response, flicking his tail back and forth as Hermione stroked his thick fur. She stayed like this for a while until an idea came to mind.
“Oh. Oh no. No, no no.” She muttered under her breath, her hands running through her hair, as she hopped up from her bed and paced in front of her bookshelf. “Dammit. I’m going to have to modify Mum and Dad’s memories. I don’t have any other options. I should write Professor McGonagall so at least someone knows.” She says, as she reaches for a pen and notebook from her shelf, knowing that this would be the most secure way to write and keep her plans.
She wrote down what she knew about memory charms and her heart dropped a little knowing that things could go wrong and she may never get her parents back. She wrote her letter to Professor McGonagall, and posted it the next morning after she visited the backroom of the nearest post office to send her owl.
When she got home, she tried to avoid her parents but failed miserably, as she was hounded by her mother the moment she walked through the door. “Hermione, where have you been?” “The post office mum. I had to send an owl to a professor.” “Send an owl, you’ve only been on break for a day!” Her mother exclaims, as Hermione walks past her from the doorway and into the kitchen.
”I had to ask about a class I’ve signed up for, that’s all mum.” She says, as she fills up a glass of water at the sink, hoping her answer was enough for now. Her mother didn’t respond besides a small hum and Hermione was content enough with that answer.
She made her way out of the kitchen and up the stairs to her room, and heard her dad come into the house. She stopped at the landing, straining to hear the conversation that had started. “John, I’m worried she’s doing too much again.” “Anne… she’s fine. She just had a simple question.” “But it's only the second day of her break. No one should have questions about classes for the next school year on the second day of a break. It’s not healthy.” She hears her father sigh, and quietly makes her way from the landing to her bedroom, closing the door, silent tears making their way down her face.
Minvera McGonagall was used to owls from students even during a break, but this one surprised her the most. It was from Hermione Granger, and she needed to know how to obliviate her parents so that Voldemort wouldn't be able to gain information, and so that eventually she could give them their memories back if at all possible.
She read and re-read the letter multiple times to make sure she was truly understanding what her student was asking. There was only one person she could trust with this information. She tucked the letter in her desk drawer and made her way to Flitwick’s office.
As she made her way across the castle to the charms corridor, she couldn’t help but wonder and worry about the girl. She thought back to her second year and how her parents were worried when they hadn’t heard from her for a while.
She told them what had happened and they nearly took her out of the school. It took some convincing, but they let her stay and allowed her to come back the following year after promises from the head of house that nothing would happen and that she would be busy with her coursework. Minvera wasn’t sure if Hermione had told them the full truth after her third year, and assumed she omitted parts if she told them anything at all. She knew for a fact not a mention of the events of the past month would pass her lips if she wanted to stay enrolled in the school.
She knocked on the door of the office, and heard the squeaky voice of her colleague beckon her inside. “Minerva, to what do I owe the pleasure?” he asks pleasantly, as she sits down in the chair across from his desk. “Miss Granger has written me a letter. Asking how to obliviate her parents memories of her to prevent You-Know-Who from gaining information” She says with a sigh, a frown forming on her face.
Filius blinks in surprise as his mouth falls open. “Minerva. you can’t be serious.” “As serious as ever Filius.” she replies, pinching the bridge of her nose. “There’s no denying that You-Know-Who is back and given that Miss. Granger is not only friends with Mr. Potter but also a muggle-born I understand her view of protecting her parents.” “Quite so. Well we obviously won’t have the logistics figured out immediately but let her know that we are able to help.” Flitwick says, standing from his seat, following McGonagall to her office to pen the letter.
They sent the letter off with the owl that Hermione had sent, and went about their duties around the castle for the day. Both hoping for the best with what they were about to undertake.

I'm constantly daydreaming of harry potter/ahs crossovers, if I'm not daydreaming about micheal as rodolphus then im being super cringe and daydreaming about micheal x y/n riddle 🤣 or langdon and riddle being at hogwarts at the same time and they're rivals
Tbh I think minvera mcgonagall could have fixed mikey if she had the chance to be his hogwarts mother
If the shows had of come out at a similar time there could have been a chilling adventures of sabrina/ahs crossover I think that would have been cool with the academy's all doing the 7 wonders and micheal and sabrina interacting
Sometimes I think Lucifer/ahs crossover would be hilarious like micheal meeting lucifer and lucifer just smacking him upside the head like you stupid little idiot why would you make the world end I was perfectly happy being co detectives with my human wife chloe and micheal just being like well shit I thought you wanted me to
Those are great ideas!!!! Maybe I should be learning from you. But I'll see what i can do to make those a reality!!!
But if I did a Sabrina the teenage witch cross over it would be the 90s version!!!

Iconic Minerva McGonagall Moments:
• There can not be a list of iconic Professor Minerva McGonagall moments without mentioning the quintessential, “Have a biscuit, Potter.”
• She had a frickin WAR CRY?? Like COME ON: ‘Get back!’ shouted Ron, and he, Harry and Hermione flattened themselves against a door as a herd of galloping desks thundered past, shepherded by a sprinting Professor McGonagall. She appeared not to notice them: her hair had come down and there was a gash on her cheek. As she turned the corner, they heard her scream: ‘CHARGE!’
• When she called Umbridge out, we all liked that: ‘I wonder,’ said Professor McGonagall in cold fury, turning on Professor Umbridge, ‘how you expect to gain an idea of my usual teaching methods if you continue to interrupt me? You see, I do not generally permit people to talk when I am talking.’
• She DEFINED sarcasm when she invited Lockhart to prove himself: ‘We’ll leave it to you, then, Gilderoy,’ said Professor McGonagall. ‘Tonight will be an excellent time to do it. We’ll make sure everyone’s out of your way. You’ll be able to tackle the monster all by yourself. A free rein at last.’
• McGonagall easing her students after their first divination class is just amazing: ‘Ah, of course,’ said Professor McGonagall, suddenly frowning. ‘There is no need to say any more, Miss Granger. Tell me, which of you will be dying this year?’
• HOWEVER, when Umbridge tried to kick Trelawney out of Hogwarts, our lovable mother figure was the first to speak up: “Professor McGonagall had broken away from the spectators, marched straight up to Professor Trelawney and was patting her firmly on the back while withdrawing a large handkerchief from within her robes”
• She was the first one to say, ‘Neville >>>>”: ‘Humph,’ snorted Professor McGonagall. ‘It’s high time your grandmother learned to be proud of the grandson she’s got, rather than the one she thinks she ought to have – particularly after what happened at the Ministry.’
• So basically what I’m saying is, McGonagall >>>>>
