Vandals are out on Marlpit Avenue as ULEZ takes effect
Criminal damage to public property continues in Coulsdon, as data suggests a sharp reduction in the most polluting vehicles using the capital’s roads Expansion: ULEZ has helped to improve air quality in central London. The Tories oppose it Just as it did in inner London when introduced (by the then-Mayor, Boris Johnson, in case you needed reminding), all the early signs are that ULEZ is already…

It's getting hard 2 keep up w/ all the shenanigans going on:
1st Claudine Gay is forced to resign from Harvard, for blatant Plagiarism.
Then Fani Willis is caught up in Adultery w/ her subordinate.
Now Tasha K is caught Red Handed perjuring herself in her lawsuit against Cardi B.
All of these Women had the Wind @ their backs, but chose to Push the Envelope, for whatever reason. Claudine Gay forgot WHO finances Harvard Univ. A little finesse could've gone a long way to keeping her position. Fani Willis has denied allegations of Adultery w/ one of her 'Rock Star' Special Prosecutors, Nathan Wade; despite Court Papers showing that she was subpoenaed in his Divorce Trial, as a witness for his estranged Wife, Jocelyn. It is insinuated that Nathan Wade used a portion of his paychecks to take DA Willis on lavish vacations... DA Willis then attended a local Black Church, where she tried to Sistah Gurl & Obama Speak her way out of Adultery, while simultaneously making a plea(?) to her Superiors.
Tasha K tried to emulate Wendy Williams, & got the same result. She obviously underestimated Cardi B. Rather than negotiate Settlement Terms w/ Cardi B's Legal Team, Tasha K tried to hide her funds & got caught! I followed 'Sharell's World' down the rabbit hole, as She & Perry went through the Court Transcripts showing that Tasha K had 5 Trust Funds set up to hide her Cash... Maybe Tasha should've used something other than her Middle Name & her Children to name those Trusts? Again, She underestimated Cardi B's Legal Team. According to the Court Transcripts, Tasha has also dragged her husband & her accountant into this mess... Maybe she should Cease & Desist w/ antagonizing Kevin Hart & R. Kelly?... Maybe?
These 3 events got Me asking: Is there an Attack on Black Girl Magic, or is this yet another case of White Supremacists playing w/ their food? All three Women suffer from self inflicted wounds, so they can't point to a Patriarchy. That said, All three Women were given platforms over other able bodied Women, so were they hand picked? Jason Black (aka The Black Authority) pointed out a previous 'Adulterous Affair' in New Orleans, between Mayor LaToya Cantrell & her Executive Protection Officer, Jeffrey Vappie. TBA detailed how these Women seem to be mimicking their White Peers, but I don't think they understand how White Supremacy works. 'Go For Self-erism' really only works for Whitefolk & their 'Model Minorities'. Blackfolk R like those things in 'Wack A Mole' holes; at ANY GIVEN MOMENT, They can be knocked into oblivion... Dolton Mayor, Tiffany Henyard should B paying attention.

A postmortem on the Golden State left
A tale of two strategies
There were two camps: Courage California Institute and groups that aligned themselves with it on one side and the Left Unity Slate on the other side.
The former camp contained progressives who want to reform the Democratic Party while the latter camp contained leftists from third parties and independents.
DSA chapters straddled the fence between the two camps with some endorsing Dems in certain races and the Left Unity Slate in other races.
Courage California: A Trojan Horse to lure lefties back to the Democrats
Courage California contains various interest groups like the Working Families Party, the California Progressive Alliance, the Richmond Progressive Alliance and local Indivisible chapters.
Indivisible was responsible for squashing organic, grassroots left movements as demonstrated in Monterey County in 2017.
The fact that CCI is an ActBlue organization and is composed of Vote Blue No Matter Who organizations explains its terrible endorsements like Gavin Newsom, Karen Bass and Assemblyman Ash Kalra, who killed single payer healthcare.
If progressives had any balls, here's what would have happened after January 31:
Kalra would have been publicly shunned for not revealing which Dems were barriers to AB 1400
Progressive Democrats would have used their leverage to publicly potentially jeopardize the party's supermajority
Progressive groups would've threatened to reach out to the Left Unity Slate and support their candidates instead of Dems by withholding endorsements
Instead, Kalra was actually endorsed by these groups, progressive Dems folded like a cheap tent around the establishment, and the CCI involved groups have been silent about strategy since.
What this tells me is that progressives are only fighters to a certain extent. That there are no Kshama Sawants in California is not only telling but troubling.
What should be next for the Left Unity Slate?
After its candidates finished anywhere from fourth to ninth, the Green and Peace & Freedom Parties need to gather other leftist parties and independents to become a threat to the Democrats' legislative supermajorities, and they should arrange a pact to not run against each other if they have been officially picked by the slate.
Also, the Left Unity Slate must demonstrate just how different it is from the passive progressives by taking forceful action.
Los Angles is a template
It was a bad day for progressives as most of them were beaten by establishment candidates.
As for the mayor's race, Gina Viola performed better than expected given some self-styled leftists were urging Angelos to vote for Congresswoman Bass to avoid a "spoiler" scenario.
Despite the best efforts of groups like People's City Council-Los Angeles to keep the momentum of mid-2020 going, the propaganda from the media and the police industrial complex has created a massive backlash that has not only resulted in support for more police funding but also an attack on homelessness rather than addressing why people are homeless in the first place.
The voters in Los Angeles City and County don't even seem to care that the Sheriff's Department has numerous gangs. With the effort to revert back to the 1990s, these results should finally put to bed any idea that liberals are leftists. I mean you had class solidarity among the rich when the likes of Snoop Dogg, Katy Perry, Kim Kardashian and Gwyneth Paltrow endorsed mayoral frontrunner Rick Caruso.
Other tidbits
A Republican got more votes than Shahid Buttar for second place? In the 11th Congressional District? In fucking San Francisco? Nancy Pelosi is jumping up and down that she has token opposition in the fall.
In the 4th Congressional District, Jason Kishineff finished dead last out of six. It's a bad sign. He ran as a Green in 2018, as a Democrat two years ago and now as an independent. Nobody in the nation's supposedly leftmost state wants to rock the boat against the biggest establishment Democrats.
Certain DSA chapters refused to support communist candidates (Long Beach) because they were anti-imperialists while DSA leadership is pretty much wedded to the State Department position.
In other areas (San Diego), diehard socialist parties and DSA chapters promoted each other without any issues.

Riverdale S1 E6
All the spoiler warnings!
- I wish the rules of Protagonist Boy didn't mandate that every straight girl in Archie's vicinity has to have a thing for him.
- Jughead opening narration and he's typing away in the middle of the night. Where is he? He's already moved into the school at this point, right?
- Valerie is amazing. Gorgeous, insightful in a serene way (compared to Veronica's aggressively conclusion- oriented analyses), beautiful singing voice & The Real Deal. She deserved better all around. More Valerie!! But then, what would someone as functional and stable as Valerie have done during Jingle Jangle deliveries, Black Hood, The Gargoyle King and the Farm and Mothmen and.... OK so maybe Valerie just went to Julliard after acing her SATs while Archie was in prison fight club and being partially eaten by a bear, and went on to compose amazing songs.
- I love Jughead's complexion in this episode. Translucently pale, very La Boheme. His undereye shadows are literally blue and purple.
- Veronica's look with the cat ears when she joins the Pussycats is just absolutely heart stopping, and Hermione's eye makeup is CHEF'S KISS.
- This bit never made sense to me and it looks absolutely crazypants this time too: Polly saying BE HAPPY FOR MY UNPLANNED TEEN PREGNANCY WITH JASON, A BOY WHO PUT MY NAME IN THE SLAM BOOK and Betty going I AM! Um why??
- Josie and her parents are all assholes. I am taken aback by how different Josie is from how she is in later seasons. Her father Myles in particular is absolutely insufferable in a way that is positively Hiram-esque. He undermines his wife and blatantly sabotages his gifted daughter. Lots of villain potential there, but wasted, alas.
-I also wish they'd played up Mayor McCoy's potential to be a villain better so that it wasn't just Hiram playing Fuck, Marry, Kill with Archie, Reggie and Jughead season after season. She is willing to take bribes and lets her jackass pretentious husband be hideously rude to her guests, for example. But they defang her later and then put her in bed with Sheriff Keller and I can't even remember what even happens to her.
- Oh wow, I forgot The First Bughead Kiss happens here!! Just as sweet every time. Jughead getting so verklempt he loses his voice and then he can't talk because he's Gonna Do It Now. Oh so adorable. Because we all know that boy can talk SO MUCH. However - I stand by what I said about the Joaquin- Kevin kiss being a hotter kiss, qua kissing. If you want Betty to not go OH THE INVESTIGATION in the moment, Jughead, put some lip into it.
- Speaking of, I do like very much that this show treats the sexuality of the middle aged with due respect. I mean it's LUKE PERRY so that's not too difficult but still. Appreciation.

Warrior Season 2 Episode 10 Review: Man on the Wall
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
This Warrior review contains spoilers.
Warrior Season 2 Episode 10
After the brutal depiction of San Francisco’s Riot of 1877 in the previous episode, the Warrior Season 2 finale feels more like an epilogue. There’s lots of ruminating over drinks, a few cliffhangers to tease Season 3, and one long awaited fight. Since Cinemax abandoned its original programming, this may be the final episode of Warrior unless some other network picks it up. Hopefully, Warrior finds new life somewhere else because Season 2 leaves us hanging and wanting more.
This episode begins with the morning after the Riot. As Chinatown residents recover bodies and tend to their wounded, Mai Ling (Dianne Doan) surveys the damage and discovers that a two-story mural of Ah Sahm (Andrew Koji) has appeared. Clad in a wife-beater shirt with a nunchuck tucked in his armpit, it’s a nod to Bruce Lee’s look in The Way of the Dragon.
It’s a key plot point teasing Ah Sahm’s rise in power, but it’s totally absurd. How the heck did anyone paint that huge mural before the bodies were even picked up? Nonetheless, the mural positions Ah Sahm’s rise for next season. When he crosses paths with Ah Toy (Olivia Cheng) in front of the mural, she tells him “You’re a symbol to your people.”
Again, it’s a nod to Bruce Lee and what he means as a global icon and the first international Asian superstar. “We need a hero,” continues Ah Toy, “someone to remind us who we are, and who we could be.”
As the SFPD copes with their injured, Lee (Tom Weston-Jones) turns in his badge and gun. O’Hara (Kieran Bew) tries to talk him into staying with the force, but it’s to no avail. After that, there’s a dueling bar scene for the former police partners. At the Banshee, O’Hara drops in to find Leary (Dean Jagger) beating up the bar piano. They have a drink. Meanwhile, Lee returns to the bar that drugged him for another drink from the bartender, Abigail (Gaosi Raditholo). The bar scenes interlace but the results are completely opposite: Leary calls out O’Hara for collecting for the Chinese and threatens an inevitable reckoning while Lee and Abigail have sex. Later, Lucy (Emily Child) shows up at O’Hara’s home to check on him after the riot but says she isn’t coming back. O’Hara confesses his shortcomings to her and asks forgiveness.
Back in Chinatown, Father Jun (Perry Yung) and Young Jun (Jason Tobin) survey the riot damage too. Father offers his son some wisdom and Young Jun apologizes for how the transition of power went down. It’s a solid scene – Yung and Tobin deliver a poignant father and son scene, offering some insight to the intricacies of their crime family dysfunction. “It’s your show now,” says Father Jun.
Buckley (Langley Kirkwood) talks about expelling Chinese to some businessmen at a gentlemen’s club. Penny (Joanna Vanderham) barges in to confront Buckley about Jacob’s (Kenneth Fok) lynching but Buckley blows her off. Penny is furious and leaves. Later, she goes to the newspaper reporter Raice (Martin Munro) with the story of Buckley covering up how Jacob defended her against her husband’s attack in hopes of besmirching Buckley. But after that, Raice goes to Buckley’s office and shows him the story. Buckley pays him off to kill it. Apparently, manipulating the press is something Buckley has been doing all along. After that, Penny confronts Buckley once more in his office about killing the story. Buckley stabs himself to frame Penny. In a later scene, Buckley shows up in the mayoral mansion and tells Sophie (Celine Buckens) that Penny stabbed him. Penny wakes up restrained and screaming in an insane asylum, which is where she is left at the end of Season 2.
Ah Sahm and Young Jun reflect on the riot at Ah Toy’s bordello. Then Ah Sahm goes to Ah Toy’s boudoir to tend to her wounds. Nellie (Miranda Raison) arrives and takes over, surprising Ah Sahm when sees the intimacy of their relationship. Later, Father Jun packs his bags and leaves Chinatown. He sees Chao (Hoon Lee) as he’s leaving and tells him to tell Young Jun. They bow a respectful goodbye.
Young Jun takes an audience with Mai Ling and Li Yong (Joe Taslim). Mai Ling reveals that Ah Sahm is her brother, which infuriates Young Jun. Angry at being deceived for two seasons, Jun punches Ah Sahm in the face. Hong (Chen Tang) tries to placate things between his two Hop Wei brothers, but Young Jun remains uneasy. Later, Young Jun continues to question Ah Sahm’s loyalty but realizes they’ve been through too much together already. Jun says, “The battles you choose not to fight are every bit as important as the ones you do.” Nevertheless, their trust is broken. He asks for advice from Hong. He tells him that there might not have been a right path.
Ah Sahm ponders his Bruce Lee mural some more then goes to visits Leary in the Banshee. The scene cuts Ah Sahm sitting at a table surrounded by some Irishmen that he knocked out off camera. Leary joins him and they drink together. Then it’s Leary versus Ah Sahm in the Banshee back alley in an old-fashioned fight. There are a few kicks but lots more haymakers to the face until Ah Sahm drops Leary with a Fist of Fury like punch. Ah Sahm tells the Irish that he’ll come back with an army if they mess with Chinatown again, and then walks back to Chinatown all bloody in the San Francisco rain.
Mai Ling finds Buckley while he’s trolling the streets for prostitutes. She shows him the photo she acquired of him posing with fellow soldiers in front of a confederate flag. She threatens to use it as blackmail, demanding his support, and tells him, ‘I want blood in the streets.’ Later at a governmental meeting, Buckley proposes shutting down Chinatown reviewing laundromats, maximum occupancy of homes and regulation of brothels, all of which were genuine historical acts deployed to oppress the Chinese. For Buckley, it’s about battling the Hop Wei. Leary shows up and says, “I’m Dylan Leary and I’m here on behalf of the Workingmen’s Party of California.”
This is a major tell. The Workingmen’s Party of California was a real organization that was pivotal in the oppression of American Chinese. The founder was a racist demagogue, an Irishman named Denis Kearney who is the inspiration for Leary’s character.
Young Jun sees the Ah Sahm mural. Their relationship has been key to the entire show so placing that in jeopardy is a harsh season finale cliffhanger. In the final scene, Zing (Dustin Nguyen) is in prison, starting to loosen the bars.
Whether that cliffhanger will ever be resolved or not is another matter. Warrior Season 3 seems unlikely to happen at the moment, but perhaps one day we’ll get closure for this story. To the cast and crew of Warrior, thank you for reminding us who we are, and who we could be. Thank you for keeping Bruce Lee alive. Bruce Lee Forever!

Pennies for Plunder – the radio serial
Tumblr media
Pennies for Plunder
November 27 - December 26, 1947
Summary
Perry White is elected Mayor of Metropolis and gets into conflict with Joe Solitaire, who sells crooked punch boards. Superman flies out to rescue Perry from Solitaire's boat, but during flight, he loses his powers and falls into the water. Batman and Robin hear on the news that the police has found Superman's red cape floating in Metropolis Harbour. They take the Batboat to search for Superman and find him. It turns out he has been affected by an experimental atom ray, and when Perry calls for help, Superman is unable to fly to his aid. Batman and Robin take the boat to help Perry but are captured, and Solitaire intends to kill all three of them. Superman has recovered just in time to save them.
However, they still don't have a case against Solitare. The rest of the series concerns how Perry, Clark and the others on the Daily Planet work to outlaw punch boards and get evidence against Joe Solitaire.
The Adventures of Superman was on air for 11 years, 1940 to 1951. Superman/Clark Kent was voiced by Budd Collyer, Lois Lane by Joan Alexander, Jimmy Olsen by Jackie Kelk and Perry White by Julian Noa. The first Batman radio actor was Stacy Harris, but Matt Crowley was the most frequent while I've read that Ronald Liss was Robin in all the radio team-ups. Jason Beck, the announcer/narrator of the show, sometimes voiced Alfred.
You can find more information about the radio show on supermanhomepage.com and listen to episodes on oldtimeradiodownloads.com

this is what riverdale is about (part 2)
part 1
CHARACTERS: (images taken from the riverdale wiki)
Tumblr media
archie andrews: america’s good/bad boy depending on what the script calls for that week. has the least personality of anyone in the cast and acts as a piece of beef they bounce around from scene to scene, punching what needs to be punched. archie’s father is fred andrews (rip luke perry) who runs a construction company. his mother is mary andrews (molly ringwald) (!?) who lives in chicago and only visits when the show can afford to have her on. archie likes football, making music and committing violent crimes for “good” reasons.
Tumblr media
betty cooper: the sweet girl next door who loves wearing sweaters and investigating crimes. had a crush on archie for about 30 seconds in season 1 and then hopped jughead’s dick and never looked back. worries about a “darkness” inside of her at least 3 times a season. you can tell when she is overcome by said darkness when she puts on a wig that makes her look like uma thurman in pulp fiction. her home life fucking sucks; her mother is narcissist alice cooper (no, not that one) and her father is hal cooper who has his own major problems going on. her sister is polly cooper who is dumber than a sack of rocks and can’t do anything right.
Tumblr media
veronica lodge: the rich daughter of a “legitimate businessman”, veronica is the on-again-off-again girlfriend of archie andrews. she enjoys pissing her dad off and committing schemes for mostly good-hearted reasons. the show goes through great lengths to make sure you know she’s latina by having her family, hermoine lodge and hiram lodge (mark consuelos) call her “mija” at least 800 times an episode. she is not, blessedly, the stereotypical rich bitch. she has some semblance of a personality even if that personality is dull as dirt after season 1.
Tumblr media
jughead jones: the hat wearing, monologuing, “weird” kid that the writers forgot likes to snack until season 3. jughead was a true crime writer in season 1 writing about the dark secrets of riverdale and then the writing team ditched this entirely to make jughead the head of a weirdly benevolent local gang called “the serpents” that his father, f.p. jones, led up to and including his career change to sheriff in season 3. jughead’s mom, gladys jones, and his sister, jellybean jones, don’t appear until season 3, as they live in toledo doing crimes. he is dating betty cooper, presumably because they both like investigating mysteries. they have nothing else in common.....or do they.....?
Tumblr media
cheryl blossom: without a doubt, the greatest character on the show, and possibly in all of tv history. she is an enormous asshole for literally no reason and a chaos spirit who seemingly derives all of her power from causing problems and doing evil deeds. despite this, she frequently backs up the main crew on their various adventures, possibly out of boredom or just to see how she can make it messier. considers herself the head bitch in charge in riverdale and is the heir to the maple syrup empire her family built the town on. her brother is jason blossom, whose murder is the center of season 1. her father is clifford blossom, her mother is fellow wild-ass bitch penelope blossom, and she also lives with her grandma rose blossom. like all rich people, they are all batshit crazy.
Tumblr media
toni topaz: girlfriend of cheryl blossom and member of the serpents, toni is much less chaos driven than cherly but still enjoys getting involved in various schemes and activities. had sex with jughead once and realized that men were gross and she preferred women, which is the most realistic thing this show has ever done. she likes photography and bar tends as a teen (?) at a biker bar called “the white wyrm”. she is the granddaughter of one of the founders of the serpents, a member of a local native tribe whose family was slaughtered when the town was established in 1941. the timeline of this show is a little wild.
Tumblr media
josie mccoy: josie of “josie and the pussycats” fame! she likes singing and literally nothing else. she gives the show writers an excuse to write songs into the show diegetically. her mother is mayor mccoy and up until like 3 weeks ago, her father was sir-not-appearing-in-this-show. she has left the show recently but will appear in the sequel series “katy keene”.
Tumblr media
kevin keller: the local gay. likes to put on stage shows so we can experience the worst episodes of every season. apparently exists so that discrimination can happen on screen before cheryl’s coming out. his father is sheriff keller. sometimes, the show tries to make his hangups about his dating life the center of an episode and tries to make the horrific murders the backseat issue. despite this, we love kevin.

Riverdale: Sixty-Four: The Ice Storm
Lets see what crazy this ice storm brings to the town.  This is their Thanksgiving episode so it will be easier to go by people.
Tumblr media
Cheryl and Toni are planning on dumping Uncle Buford's body in the river where it will not be found until the Spring.  It seems the rest if the family won’t leave them alone.  They come up with a great scheme using a past family story about cannibalism to convince the family they ate Buford.  Cheryl pulled out all the crazy stops by having doll Jillian at the table and even brought out Jason. In the end she was able to get her family to leave her alone and save the family business.
Tumblr media
Betty goes and visits Jughead at Stonewall Prep for the holiday.  Bret and Donna decide to try and scare Jughead and Betty.  That doesn’t work out so well when Betty hits Bret knocking him out while he is wearing the bunny mask.  After finding a note Betty and Jughead think that Bret and Donna had something to do with why Chipping killed himself.  After finding Chippings tie pin in Donna’s room she confesses that she was having an affair with Chipping. No one believes her but since a camera was set up in the room watching Jughead and Betty.  Massive invasion of privacy and we all know how much these guys have sex on the show. Jughead finds out that Donna went to the Headmaster about her affair with Chipping and all the things he was doing to her.  No one will believe it was anything but a suicide.
Tumblr media
FP is pissed off about Hiriam asking him to shut down the shelter for the holidays. Hiram ran unopposed for Mayor and was elected.  FP and Alice go to Pop’s for Thanksgiving dinner.  Hiram and Hermione also go to Pop’s because Veronica pulled the Thanksgiving dinner off the table. Alice invites them over to sit and FP made the same face I did when I had to put up with someone I didn’t want to see this week.  Hiram invited everyone downstairs for a drink.  Things got heated and FP almost killed Hiram.  It decided that FP was going to be a Serpent and Sheriff since Hiram is Mayor and a Kingpin.  I guess the reason we have not been seeing the Serpents is because with Jug away they are without a leader.  Looks like FP is stepping back into his old role.

Archie decides to open the gym on Thanksgiving so people will have a place to go. Hiriam doesn’t want him to but with encouragement from FP, his mom and Veronica, Archie decides to keep it open.  Dodger’s family shows up because she was told that Archie might have something to do with what happen to her son.  Darla (Doger’s mom) has a gun on Archie because she thinks he beat her son.  Everyone says they were the one to do it.  With the help of an exploding deep fryer Archie’s mom is able to get a hold of the gun and threatens Dodger’s family.  Once they leave everyone was able to have a great Thanksgiving dinner that was there.
Since it was apparently feels week on the CW. It was talked about how this is the first Thanksgiving without Fred Andrews. How he was watching out for them and made the deep fryer explode.  Because of that a dedication and plaque was put on the gym for Fred.  What Archie is doing is exactly what his father would.  Thank you CW for making me tear up. Also thank you for still paying tribute to Fred and Luke Perry.
I guess we get to see what therapy does for some of the characters next episode.

Riverdale 3x21 Recap
That was the best ep of Riverdale since the musical and what a great twist at the end!
Seems like the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are Riverdale stans. Can’t wait for the inevitable Prince Archie references in S4
Glad we got the confirmation that Hal did in fact kill a bunch of people at the school
Very fitting that Hiram’s real estate crimes are what bring him down, if only he had actually let Veronica run her own illegal speakeasy/gambling den
I really do wonder if they have any plans for Hermione, she’s the goddamned Mayor but she might as well not exist
At least they never made Luke Perry say the word endgame
They’ve really swept the dads off the board this season; I wonder if we’ll see more of a focus on Mary and Hermione in S4
The warrior gene they’re referencing isn’t actually the serial killer gene, as there is no such thing, and the warrior gene doesn’t actually make people more violent but guess who else may share that gene with Betty? Cousin Jason
I was wondering where Reggie had disappeared to, I just hope they’re not going to drag this Varchie/Veggie triangle out too long
They’ve done a good job at building Varchie back up, we’ll see where they take it
They can’t keep Hiram in jail forever, especially not with the looming tragedy of Fred’s death, but it is going to be really hard to integrate him back into the show after he’s annulled his marriage, been betrayed by Veronica, lost his empire, and nearly beat Archie to death. I used to joke that if this show actually runs 6 seasons that by the end Hiram will be reduced to sabotaging PTA meetings or some shit to get back at Archie and honestly that may not be too far off the mark
The Farm as cover for organ harvesting is a good twist
Polly playing dark Betty is a good twist and makes sense with what we later learn about Jason
Gonna be real hard to rehabilitate characters like Alice and Kevin; probably gonna be a lot of sweeping under the rug next season
I love batshit crazy Cheryl storming the operating room and rescuing Toni but they definitely had time to both get out that window
The camera work during the Fox Forest and the Bus scenes was excellent, a clear notch up from the show’s usual standard
Gotta laugh at how the Black Hood wears his hood even though everyone knows he’s Hal Cooper so that way the show can just have an extra film those scenes and save money
Ethel was useful for once and Cole’s acting was better than usual
Enough with these boxing fights intercut with a musical performance! This is like the 4th one this season
Jughead digging up a grave is the kind of insanity that Riverdale does so well
I was legitimately shocked and excited by the reveal that Jason Blossom is the gargoyle king. I know I shouldn’t get my hopes up because the writers will fuck it up, but if they didn’t it would actually be one of the best twists of the series
Jason was the one who decided that he and Polly would run away to the Farm, he comes from the batshit crazy Blossom family which has a history of violence, he could share the warrior gene with Betty, and it would explain why Polly has turned evil. And of course, it would explain why Cheryl was so insistent she was actually talking to Jason. We’ve never heard Jason speak but we have seen him several times over the course of the series. Obviously the other loved ones people are seeing would be faked but I do wonder about Alice and ‘Charles’, we know Hart Denton was in Vancouver at some point during filming, did they cut his scenes or does he still have a role to play?
If this is a legit twist then Jason’s death was faked which means his death video was either doctored or somehow Clifford, who shot him, and FP, who disposed of the body, the original coroner who did the autopsy, and Alice who bribed him to see the body, were all fooled. It would make a certain soap opera logic if it turned out that the Farm and it’s surgical skills played a role in saving him as would the notion of there maybe being Blossom triplets
This feeling probably won’t last but I can’t wait for the season finale next week
