LOVECRAFTOBER: DAY TWENTY-THREE: HASTUR
The King in Yellow, The Unspeakable One
Affiliation: The Court of Yog-Sothoth
A fan favorite makes his debut! Hastur, the King in yellow is finally on the scene at last!
The design for Hastur was taken from the fact he is often shown manipulating artists or involved in the arts, so I felt he fashioned himself after classical Greek statues, wearing a mask to help give the appearance of one who is vain with appearances. Also, has arms for days and can manifest just as many.
The Golden sun of the Court of Yog-Sothoth, the most active and powerful spawn of Yog, Hastur takes immense pride in how he conducts his business and mortal followers, spreading his sign across the universe. Known to be a bit of a show-off, not taking things seriously at times, and obsessed with well...himself, sometimes he can come off as annoying to some of the older horrors out there. Very defensive of his kin though and does not hesitate to throw down with elder gods when he's in a full fury. Just don't mention a certain someone's name or he can get very depressed and upsetti very quick....

from my understanding mormons live in a world where nyarlathotep is god and loves them and that somehow isn't terrifying to them.

LOVECRAFTOBER: DAY TWENTY-EIGHT: Nug and Yeb: The Twin Blasphemies
Affiliation: The Court of Yog-Sothoth and The Court of shub-niggurath
The last big render I wanted to do for Lovecraftober, the twin monstrosities themselves, Nug and Yeb! I felt their designs were conveyed best through renders than simple drawings.
These two are never apart and often act and function as a single entity rather than separate ones. They often finish each other's thoughts or seem to know exactly what the other may say in addition to always seeming to be in agreement about things.
As the offspring of Yog-Sothoth and Shub-Niggurath, they hold a special place as being a bridge between the two courts, often going back and forth depending on their moods. They are known to be extremely unpredictable, ranging from curious and playful to downright violent and sadistic.
They are not hard to tell apart though: Nug has only one mouth and various tentacles and more a slimy look while Yeb has twin mouths and a coating of what seems to be fur as well as two front left hands.

Chiron (Greek Mythology) "Chiron was the immortal centaur that trained many beloved heroes, probably most notably Achilles. He didn't get involved in any of the conflicts or quests that the heroes go on, and simply mentored, trained, and guided heroes that did."
Randolph Carter (Cthulhu Mythos) "An early 20th century Boston author and occultist. One of the few recurring human characters within the Mythos, Carter is capable of entering the Dreamlands. Being an Author Avatar of Lovecraft, he is an unnoticed writer, prone to nervousness and depression, but also capable of great courage. "Through the Gates of the Silver Key" reveals that he's a fragment of an entity implied, though not stated outright, to be Yog-Sothoth."
