ok so like... conflicted feelings on the boys s3 finale. honestly i would have been disappointed if homelander OR soldier boy had died, just because i like watching them as characters. as terrifying and horrible as homelander is, he's truly one of the best villains ive seen in a long time and can't imagine the boys without him as a threat and at full power. and soldier boy has a great backstory that i want more of and is overall just a good character imo (not that i particularly like him, he's a dick, but that's why its fun).

HOWEVER. purely based on the plot this season - i am so pissed at butcher and COMPLETELY on soldier boy's side. soldier boy did LITERALLY EVERYTHING BUTCHER ASKED AND THEN SOME, was going to KILL HIS SON FOR HIM, and honestly butcher's reasons for stopping him were not strong enough to me. like sure ryan got hurt - TAKE HIM OUT OF THE ROOM AND LET SOLDIER BOY CONTINUE. i'm glad they didn't fully kill soldier boy and left it open for him to come back, but now i'm disappointed because if they do, it'll absolutely be in a way where he's specifically after the boys to get revenge, when it could have been they just have a really strong supe on their side in the way they have kimiko, annie, and maeve.

i did like it overall, the fight scenes were great, and a good set up for s4. but now i hope it has a revenge arc for soldier boy that doesn't turn into just him being another baddie they have to fight for the sake of it and actually acknowledges soldier boy was in the right

Vlad was injured by the GIW, and fled through a random experimental portal they had. He landed outside a smoking warehouse in Ethiopia, next to a dying child.

The kid was beat to hell and back, and worse off than Vlad himself.

There was a clown, ducking into a car, covered in the kids blood.

Vlad, desperate for an outlet for his anger at being stupid enough to be caught by the GIW, immediately turns around and hunts the man down.

By the time he's done with the clown, he's even eaten the man's newly formed ghost, permanently ending the threat.

Which leads to his current predicament; the dying kid is still dying, and he's calmed down enough to know he would feel bad later about letting some random kid die like this.

Luckily, he saw some ninjas while he was killing the clown, and after a short conversation, they agree to take the boy.

Vlad feels accomplished.

After all, what child wouldn't want to be raised by ninjas?

Meanwhile, Jason, delirious from pain and smoke inhalation, thinks he saw Batman murder the Joker and then turn around and sell him to Ra's Al Ghul (Vlad in his ghost form has pointy things on his head, and Jason was so fucked up he thought it was the cowl).

Jason's still fucked up and pissed when he comes back, but for entirely different reasons.

 The young justice team is in a bit of a pickle. It had been a usual mission, Klarion causing mischief again, before someone had mentioned the date. 

 The literal chaos lord had shrieked, stopping his attack, and asked for clarification. Maybe that wasn’t a good idea because one moment they were in Happy Harbour, and the next they’re somewhere else with green everywhere and floating islands. 

 And Klarion doesn’t explain- not that they were expecting him to- and just bolts into a… wow that is a very big and scary looking castle. Keep? Honestly it’s if someone combined a gothic citadel with a clocktower of some sort. 

 Not important, because they had chased after Klarion who uh… Oh no, that is a Very big entity, that is two Very Big entities that could crush them in their fingers. And they are now stuck in this place seeing as the portal closed behind them. 

 Honestly Klarion is happy he made it home before curfew! Even if he had to bring his sort-of-friends with him to make it in time. It’s not his fault, he’s not used to having a guardian, nevermind two! Not to mention siblings, which he’s now the oldest of too, so he has to be a positive influence. Like teaching them how to properly do chaos without destroying a world. 

 Oh, but this is perfect anyway, one of his dads has been wanting to talk to the speedsters anyway, and his other dad is still under house arrest for the whole, trying to take over the living realm thing. But that’s not important, he has little siblings to introduce!

Au where Harry is constantly struggling bc of Tom's good looks and gestures of affection. He totally has a crush but really REALLY doesn't know how to deal with it.

He's seen either frowning or looking constipated whenever he's by Tom's side and people naturally mistake it as distate/hatred (which technically wouldn't have been wrong back in his old timeline).

In reality, Harry is so down bad for his past nemesis that he's always close to hyperventilating at the proximity between them. With Tom manoeuvring situations behind the scenes so that they can constantly be near each other/are partners in every class they're in, Harry has no chance to relax his heart at all and thus, suffers. It just so happens that his face, misleadingly, reflects that pain. Lmao.

of course he’s not and of course obi-wan abandoning him pushes him closer to palpatine and he falls much sooner, becoming a baby sith that palpatine mostly farms out to dooku for training because anakin at 16, 17, 18 is a lot

and when he falls, the jedi order is like hm. we’re gonna tell kenobi about this. cause now skywalker is a sith with a sith master, and a grudge the size of coruscant against the guy who left him, so. let’s just give him a heads up to maybe consider going into hiding

but of COURSE when obi-wan hears his precious padawan STILL FELL he goes right to count dooku and asks to be his apprentice, he’d make such a good apprentice, dooku always liked him when he was qui-gon’s padawan, remember? now he could be his apprentice

dooku knows that with skywalker, 19 and well-trained now in the picture, his usefulness to sidious is running out, so he doesn’t have a lot of reasons to say no to kenobi. and kenobi is right. he did always like him when he was qui-gon’s apprentice, so sure he’ll give him a sith name (solence) and a red lightsaber (sick)

but basically this leads to very awkward sith family dinners where darth vader--is trying to kill darth solence with his eyes and sometimes the nearest oyster fork, darth solence is throwing sad kicked puppy expressions across the table at darth vader and sighing into his dessert pudding all the while debating with darth tyranus about how good the dark side could really be, i mean, if one were to really think about it, especially in comparison to the life we all led at the Temple, remember anakin? you loved life at the Temple.
