Marinette Jor-El Wayne Ch 1

There are over 3000 known comets in our solar system, and scientists believe there to up to a billion total, but this comet was not one of them. How did Batman know this?

First of all because he is Batman, paranoia comes with the cowl.

Second because he has been watching the incoming meteorites approach for the better part of a week. At first it was simply just for the interest of Dick, his young ward, after the bat computer first alerted them to the incoming shower. Then Dick used the bat computer hack a satellite for pictures.

Bruce wasn’t entirely sure whether this behaviour deserved punishment or not. Dick managed to get away unscathed as Bruce notice that one of the poorly imaged comments had no tail. Red flags were raised by that.

Piece of rock hurdling through space were supposed to break down and leave an iconic tail behind. This had started the relatively short-lived crusade of comet chasing. It had peaked the Bat’s interest even further when the tailless meteorite would be flying over Gotham, the concern being that the meteor could actually cause his city damage. Another sleepless night showed that no, none of the comets would not crush in the city nor land just within their city limits, read territory, enough to warrant investigation of anything that could potential survive the harshness of impact with the earth’s surface.

That was precisely how Batman found himself looking through binoculars for shooting stars dancing across the sky with his sidekick Robin hopping excitedly from foot to foot beside him. In broad daylight. Yeah Batman didn’t do daylight, but the aforementioned paranoia didn’t do sleep either apparently.

Alfred was back at the cave assuring the young boy.

‘Yes, it is exciting Master Dick’, ‘No I don’t believe they be quite like fireworks Master Dick’ and the reoccurring ‘It is a meteor not a space craft Master Dick, there will not be any aliens Master Dick’.

Bruce had honestly tunned it out some time ago standing vigilante atop the edge of his city.

Dick was in the middle of another comment about not being able to prove alien didn’t exist when it started. Crimson and amber streak burning across the already bright sky.

A quick glanced showed Bruce that Dick stood amazed at the sight, wholly captivated by the bright flashes. Soon too was the stoic Batman ensnared by the splendour.

So ensnared that he almost missed the one tailless meteor swerve. Keyword almost. The Batman snapped out of his stupor immediately, falling to the batmobile park on the streets below. Waiting only until Robin drops into the seat beside him to case after the prized object.

Of course, the comet had the advantage of speed as even the batmobile could not reach the awesome speed of 60km/s. They also had the disadvantage of having no idea where the comet was headed, past the cardinal point.

The drive to the crash site was silent both vigilantes silently puzzling out the situation.

Bruce was trying to figure out what had caused the meteorite to change course and land several kilometres within the city limits.

Dick was trying to figure out how to speak with the potential alien who would probably not know Romani any better than English.

The crash site itself held more questions then answers. They had lost sight of the comet some time ago, but Alfred had traced its impact point to an old non-developed farming area just on the edge of Gotham.

They arrived to see a still mostly intact field. The only proof of the abnormal was a streak thought the grass, of a fire burned out, leading to a charred object in the centre of the field.

Leaving the bat car unattended for the second time that night, the vigilantes did the much-warned action of walking towards the strange object recently fallen from the sky.

Certain details became clearer on their approach;

Firstly, the object, they were pretty sure it wasn’t a normal comet at this point, had ‘survived’ the crash, though it seemed as the thing had nearly been torn in two. Secondly, the whole thing seemed smooth, very much unlike the uneven chunk of rock they were expecting. Third, it was metal, maybe, Batman wasn’t sure, a rare occurrence for the man.

“Cool, spaceship”, spoke Dick breaking the silence as he marvelled at the object, keeping distance only because the heat radiating to his face was already making him sweat at the distance he was at already.

Fourth, the object quite literally had no better description, it was all too alien.

A whimper brought the two males from their outlandish thoughts, thoughts becoming all far too plausible.

A gloved hand reached out attentively to touch to pod. The Bat recoiled at the heat and Dick at his soft hiss of pain.

Whatever mechanics had survived the crash whirred into motion.

Batman being the taller of the two, Dick only turned 13 a few months ago, leaned over the . . . capsule as he identified it to be. Nothing could have possible prepared him for what he saw.

A child, perhaps 2, lay bundled in a deep red blanket. Her dark hair surprisingly tame from her journey. Her eyes remained closed as she whimpered again, curling further in on herself in the process.

Bruce’s heart broke for the girl in that moment. A curious Dick had peaked from up on his toes.

“Can we keep her!?”

Damian Wayne, the Sy-on Boy

Damian glared at the small girl sitting at the front of the classroom. He could still feel the sting of her punch during their encounter the previous day. Unforgivable! I am the blood son of Batman, heir to Wayne Industries! How dare she? Spite bubbled at the pit of his stomach. The girl should've been expelled right away!

Marinette Martha Lane-Kent. The absolute bane of his existence. Since they first met, she had been pulling idiotic but conniving smiles followed by a 'heh' that irritated him to no end. She was a whirlwind, unpredictable and unbelievably clumsy. It was a mystery how she even got into Eden. The school had no room for disaster human beings.

His face contorted into a frown as he watched her doze off in class. Stupid pigtails. Stupid big blue eyes. Stupid face. His heart began to pound with anger.

Suddenly, Marinette jerked awake and turned to look at him. Heat crawled up to Damian's face and he looked away. What's her problem?

There she was again, strolling across the dining hall. Damian was wearing his usual brooding look while he ate. He had seen Marinette attempt to talk to him a few times, but Tsurugi had held her back. He scoffed. As if I'd ever listen to what she says!

Another problem was that the other students wouldn't stop talking about her. How she punched the Damian Wayne, how violent she was, how weird she was. Damian would roll his eyes at the empty gossip. They were students of Eden! They should know better and mind their business. He noticed that Marinette seemed to be bothered about the rumors but he'd never acknowledge that observation out loud.

After finishing his lunch, he stood up to head to the library. My academic progress is not enough. I must surpass my brothers, earn those Stellas and climb my way up to become an Imperial Scholar quickly.

"Sy—syon boy!" A voice squeaked in front of him.

Damian found himself scowling at her. He couldn't formulate any words for some reason.

What's this fuzzy feeling in my chest?

He could sense the other students whispering around them. Marinette flinched, fiddling with her uniform. "I . . . I—uhhh . . ."

She began to sniffle, her hands balling into little fists. Sagged shoulders trembled. Damian looked around in a panic. What? Is she about to cry? The whispers intensified.

Tears gathered in her eyes and trickled down her reddened face. "I—I'm sorry I hit you yesterday!"

Damian stumbled back a little, gaping at her. His heart skipped a beat. What is happening?

"Ma—Marinette just wanted to be friends with you!" The girl sobbed.

What? Where did these flower petals come from? Why am I hearing strings?! When did it get so warm in here?

He gritted his teeth. Marinette continuously apologized as she cried, even spouting nonsense about having stubby legs. She felt so bad that she's actually crying?! My face . . . my face is burning up! No, that's—that's because I'm angry!

His mind flipped through flashbacks. How many times had he stared at her throughout the day? And how did she get so cute?! No! You shouldn't have these thoughts! These feelings!

Marinette's cries toned down into quiet sniffles. Her bright eyes gazed at him expectantly, piercing into his very soul. Damian stepped backwards. Don't look at me with those eyes!

"Damn it!" He blurted out loudly. "Never! I'll never admit it! I'll never forgive you!"

He stormed out of the dining hall, running as fast as he could.

Clark bent down to pat his daughter's head. He was starting to regret sending her to school, considering what she did on her first day. The boy had been lucky she wasn't using her full strength in that punch.

"How was school, Mari?" he gently asked. She had come home in a glum mood, immediately grabbing her plushie to cuddle. He was afraid her powers got exposed in school.

"Dada, what does it mean if a person's heartbeat goes really fast?" Marinette asked timidly. "Like ba-dump, ba-dump, ba-dump."

Clark frowned. "Well, it can mean lots of things sweetie. Maybe fear, embarrassment, anger, or love? Why, did something happen in school?"

"Is Sy-on boy angry at me?" She lowered her gaze. "Marinette tried to apow-lo-gize but his heartbeat went ba-dump, ba-dump, ba-dump, and he ran away saying he'll never forgive me."

"Wh—what?" Does he have a crush on my little girl?! Calm down, Clark, you might be jumping to conclusions.

"Dada, your heart's beating really fast too."

He coughed. "Can you tell me what else happened, sweetie?"

"I heard the other kids whispering about me." She reached up to touch her ear. "I—I got really scared."

Clark immediately pulled her for a hug. "Oh no, don't mind them, okay kiddo? I'll teach you how to filter your hearing and err—I'm going to have a long talk with Bruce about Damian."

So this morning as I struggled to want to get up an AU came to me. I've been struggling on how to word some of this so bare with me.

This got longer than I thought it would but here:

Lois Lane and Clark Kent find out they're having a child later on they find out it's a girl, they're overjoyed and shit. But their relationship is on the down low, and everyone in Metropolis is convinced that Lois and Superman not only have a thing for each other but are together(which they aren't wrong). So when Lex Luthor finds out Lois is pregnant he comes up with a plan(cause his blad ass thinks he's so smart). And he does succeed.

Clark has to go off planet for [intergalactic problem here] and so he's gone for a few months during Lois’s pregnancy. So while Superman is away Lex is like ‘yes my plan will go so much easier now’ and so Lois gives birth, after she(the baby) is put in the baby ward thing, Lex steals their daughter. He gives her this serum that (in theory) blocks her powers till something triggers them. It does work but he doesn't know what will trigger it or how well it works.

He decides to put her as far away from them as possible on Earth tho. So she's in France getting adopted by the lovely couple who own a bakery and want a child. They can't due to biological complications, and Lex can watch them easily ( he knows French ig for this ). And they get to name her cause she doesn't have name.

So enter Marinette Dupain-Cheng the adoptive daughter Tom Dupain and Sabine Cheng. There are some things they just can't explain about their daughter, they love her very much. Shenanigans my beloved, shall ensue.

But she's so small and doesn't have a lot of muscle how is she carrying this bag of flower at the age of 10? OH NO BOILING WATER GOT ON HER SHES GONNA GET BURN MAR- oh, she's okay...? MARINETTE DONT STARE AT THE SUN! They go to the doctor to check her eyesight, she has perfect vision. Marinette the fastest kid in her class, faster than Kim and Alix, they're playing hide and seek? Oh Mari is up a tree!

Back with Clark and Lois, Superman threatens Lex or talks to Bruce or something idk. Jon is made or born 2 years later(idk his story sometimes he's a clone sometimes he's not???!) when Mari is 2, then two more years later Con is born(I know for a fact he is born) so Mari is like 4. Bruce is doing the blood thing, but Lex has that shit under strict supervenience. And while raising the boys they learn what they should look for.

Tom and Sabine conclude that Mari is a Meta, talk to her about this when she is like 12, than when she is almost 14 she searches this stuff up and she's like “okay, no powers” well that gets thrown in her face when she was left with being Ladybug. Lex can't watch her anymore cause Paris closed itself off!

How being Ladybug affects Marinette:

She is still really strong even with that serum not letting her be at full strength so now that she has the Miraculous it enhances her already enhanced strength so she has to pull her punches, and this is one of the main reasons why she uses her yo-yo and her brain in battles rather than brute force, cause she could kill the akuma. At least she thinks so, who knows, depends on the writer!

Post [What-ever-the-fuck version of Gabriel we're dealing with]:

There are two ways this can go! 1) Mari during her time as Ladybug and Guardian activated the trigger so she could use all her half-Kryptonian-ness or 2) somehow it wasn't triggered yet but it was at some point while being around JL. Probably from being around Superman and her body went “FATHERRRRR”

And why Clark hasn't figured out this is his daughter after meeting her? Magic suit y'all! Prevents him from using x-ray vision on her, so he doesn't see her hybrid organs. One thing is for certain Bruce wants to adopt her! He can't of course cause she has already been adopted, so instead, he offers her a place to stay in Gotham, all paid, and any school of her choosing in Gotham. She says she’ll think about it, and when she researched she was surprised, and decided why not! She can fight villains, build her career, see what she can do with her new activated power, *cough* get all that pent-up rage out *COUGH*!

One big problem tho, the Meta and Magic users ban, so she talks to him again, he's like I'm willing to adjust my ban, then he does a double take cause “meta?” cause guess what Brucie, you wanna take in a meta-magic user! So he adjusts his rules.

Time passes, a long time depends, but Clark and Lois go to this gala being reporters and friends with Bruce. This gala is also Mari’s first. She's been doing great, other than almost burning her room in the middle of the night a few weeks ago. But it's fiiiiine, they're all learning, and Damian has his suspensions.

Clark was area of Bruce having another kid in his wings, and he does his x-ray things like he does all the batfam, and that's when he sees it! She wasn't human, she was part human. So he takes her Bruce, and is like “you can't have this child” “why tf can't I!” “this is our missing daughter!!”

So after the gala they all sit down and talk this out, they call Jon and Kon to get their asses here to see their sister! They talk to Tom and Sabine and they’re willing to share custody especially cause of how this happened! Anyway big family in the end.

This has probably been done somewhere but I needed to get this written out. I really want to write this, but if anyone does tag me please! PLEASE!

Bonus points for any salt or angst. Just sayin

Edit: it really shows how I didn't know about Kon and it pains me everytime I get a notification for this. Excuse my dumbassery.

Jon is born two years after Mari, Kon is made whenever the fuck he’s made, so Kon is like twoish year's older than Mari growth wise?? Cause Damian and Tim are like five/six years apart? (supposed to be anyway but who gives a shit, apparently not the DC writers, cause like aren't they supposed to be idk 7-9 years apart?? I don't care really it gives better annoying the shit out each other I'm specific ways while in the same household prevogligous)

They call Kon cause, “you're family regardless and we found our daughter we want you to meet her, get yo ass over here”

SuperMari/MariBat prompt:

Marinette is a Kryptonian. Or rather another Superman Clone, mixed with the DNA of Bridgette Cheng. She becomes useless for Luthor tho so he Orders a scientist to get rid of her. The scientist is like 'ok lol' and just SOMEHOW yeets Marinette to Paris where Tom and Sabine find Baby Marinette.

18 years later (the Events of Miraculous gonon as in the show) Marinette gets to Metropolis (The obligatory field trip), meets Superman and He's like....wait a damn Minute....

So he basically steals her and is like 'she Kind of IS my Daughter so-' and Lois loves her. Kon and Jon love her too. She's a Kent now.

They want her to be a Super but she despises the colors. Then she meet Nightwing and they become friends. Clark tells her about Nightwing and Flamebird and BOOM.

And....and ya....that's the Story behind this drawing. Should I do a FF about it? Idk maybe I will..,because I'm bored. Send help.

Half Tamaranean Alya Au

(Just a silly idea I had after seeing aus with half Kryptonian Marinette)

So after Alya's parents had Nora they went on a year's long relationship break (no divorce, but definitely considering it) and they were both seeing other people during this time so no hard feelings.

Then one day Marlena (Alya's mom) met this really mysterious guy at a bar who was saying stuff like "I'm the king of an alien planet that's being invaded" but Marlena was too drunk out of her mind to process that and the next day she thought it was a fever dream lol

Marlena eventually gets back together with Otis and gets pregnant... a bit faster than normal. Marlena still thinks it's Otis child until Alya is born with flaming red hair and emerald green eyes. She thinks it might ruin her marriage, but Otis assures her that Alya is his daughter now and nothing will come between them anymore (needed to shoehorn in my supportive husband agenda)

Alya's parents still think she's human until Alya's 4th birthday where she starts flying and shooting fire from her hands. Yeah. She almost burns their house down. Marlena also realizes that her OnS partner was real and actually an alien prince.

The expirence freaks Alya out and she voluntarily swears off using her powers. She eventually starts dying her hair brown and wearing hazel contacts to seem more normal. Of course, this breaks her parents hearts because screw fantasy parents that do the Frozen shitw.

Deep down, Alya does wish to learn how to use her powers and become a superhero. She starts doing tons of research on superheros all around the globe (superman is her favorite) and starts a superhero blog. Her parents and siblings encourage this side of Alya, but they never push her to use her powers until she feels she is ready.

The Cesaire's move to France where Alya becomes best friends with Marinette. Marinette is the first person outside of Alya's family that she trusts with her super secret. Oh, I guess Alya also tells knock-knees, I mean Nino, her secret to when he boyfriend traps I mean dates Alya. Marinette's not a half alien in this au but the idea of the two of them being half aliens and then finding each other is so slay

Alya eventually does a DNA test with the hope that her alien dad *might* have taken one... and she gets a match. STARFIRE FROM THE TEEN TITANS IS HER HALF SISTER!!! (Stars dad is a cheating ass slut). The two immediately hook up and it's just a nice day. Alya gets to reconnect with her Tamaranean heritage and Starfire goes from having one sister that hates her to 4 sisters that love her! And parents that won't sell her into slavery!!

Anyway, Raven tells Nino that she will give him a fate worst than death if he doesn't treat Alya like the queen she is.

“Damian!” Jon waved to him from across the cafeteria. “Let me introduce you to someone I just met.” As Damian walked up to the table, he saw someone who could have been Jon’s twin. “This is Marinette, she’s an exchange student from France.”

“Bonjour.” The smile she gave him was bright enough to light the entire room, she held out her hand. Damian stared at it, not moving, until Marinette slowly lowered her hand, hiding it in her lap. “Sorry, I thought handshakes were how Americans greet each other.”

“In general, you are right. However, I prefer it when others stay away from me.” Marinette went still and Jon started panicking.

“Um… before you take that the wro-” he was interrupted by Marinette abruptly standing up.

“It was nice meeting you, Jon. I’ll take my leave now. I wouldn’t want to make others feel uncomfortable.” She quickly walked away, not bothering to look back.

Jon sighed as Damian took a seat at the table. “While I’m not exactly sure what happened, from your reaction it seems I may have misspoke.” Jon placed a hand on Damian’s shoulder.

“You’re so lucky I’m such a caring and understanding friend. I’ll try to clear up the misunderstanding, that you're just naturally abrasive to everyone and everything.”

“She did seem like a decent person. She seems like someone tolerable to be around.”

“Wow… such high praise for Marinette. You didn’t even try to kill her first. I am offended Damian.” The hurt expression on his face was clearly fake, so Damian didn’t feel bad about pushing him out of his seat. And also because it would take a lot more to actually hurt a kryptonian.

“That was a different point of my life.”

“No. That’s just how you show affection.”

Robin x Marinette

It was a mistake. She knew immediately that it was a mistake yet, she did it anyways. The light from the street lamp flickered on and off, just barely hanging on, several feet behind her, Marinette could hear the sound of footsteps following her. Next time, she made a mental note to herself, she wouldn’t go out in Gotham at night.

She tried to remain calm, slow her breathing and wait. There was still a chance that they were innocent people simply walking in the same direction as her. That hope was shattered as the footsteps began approaching quickly. Her first instinct was to book it, and as she ran as fast as she could manage, the approach of the people behind her could be heard. They were nearing her so she was left with one last option, fight. Normally, she preferred less violent methods but that wasn’t an option here.

Just as they reached her and she prepared to perform a spinning hook kick, a new sound entered the dark night. A body dropped right behind her, and the sound of fighting could be heard. As soon as she recovered her bearings she turned around to see what was going on.

Behind her, one of Gotham’s vigilanties was battling against five thugs, two of them had knives. Marinette just barely made out the dark shades of red, green, and gold from her savior, confirming the identity of Robin. It barely took Robin five minutes to defeat the muggers, and Marinette watched in awe of his efficiency and skill.

“Are you ok, miss?” he addressed her.

“Yes. Thank you so much for saving me.” heat flooded her cheeks when he turned his attention on to her.

“I doubt it was necessary. From what I saw you know how to defend yourself.” He was talking about how she almost kicked someone and she turned a brighter red at the praise.

“Thank you? I guess, I mean, it’s not a big deal or anything. I just know some moves.” Her classic habit of rambling was rearing its ugly head.

“Regardless, you shouldn’t wander Gotham at night. Take care in the future.” With that he was off. Marinette supposed that most people would ask for an escort home, but she was grateful that he was taking his job seriously and on his way to help others.

Ladybug x Robin

“What are you doing in our city?” The accusation stung a bit, but Ladybug tried to brush it off.

“That has to do with my civilian life, so unfortunately, I can’t disclose that. As for why I’m acting as a hero, I figured I could help out while I was here.” She sent him a smile. “There’s always so much crime in Gotham that another set of eyes wouldn’t hurt.”

Robin scoffed at her statement. “Real help would be appreciated. You rely on magic to accomplish the job, and unless it is magic related we don’t need that kind of help.”

“Well, you may think that, but I can prove my abilities are my own.” Robin didn’t reply. After glancing at her with narrowed eyes, he swung away. Ladybug was an unknown, a magic user, and far too friendly to be able to properly deal with Gotham’s crime. He planned to keep an eye out before she ended up hurting herself.

Ladybug x Damian

Out of every crisis this was the worst one. Being forced to accept help from Ladybug of all people. Damian needed to escape so he could come back as Robin and help out, but the only way to do that was to accept help from an amateur.

Ladybug’s thoughts were along the same premise. Being forced to help Damian Wayne, the arrogant, pompous jerk. He never apologized, or tried to be polite. The only reason she tolerated his presence at school was because of Jon. But, as a hero, she knew she couldn’t leave a person behind.

“We need to evacuate quickly, so don’t complain too much about this.” Without warning, Ladybug scooped up Damian into a princess carry. There was a brief squawk of protest before he went silent and didn’t complain. It surprised her, Ladybug expected Damian to prefer death over humiliation, but his calm reluctance was far from the image she had of him. When they finally made it out of the building, she set him down. “Get medical help from an ambulance,” then she rushed back in.

Damian had to admit, grudgingly, that Ladybug was braver than he gave her credit for. Perhaps, she wasn’t a completely useless ally after all. But that thought didn’t stop Damian from suiting up and pointing out her every error once the crisis was resolved.

5. Do you respond to comments? I don't 😭 I want to but I never know what to say and before I know it, the comment is 2 years old oops. I reread comments all the time ❤

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? That's tough to say for sure but I think every lessons forms a new scar ending with an off-screen character death is probably the most angst I've ended with so far.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? That would have to be All the Words I Don't Have again. Everything is beautiful and nothing hurts. And Lockwood writes some really bad poetry.

8. Do you get hate on fics? Not so far.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I do sometimes, and it's not published yet.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? Another Change of Plans is the most tumblr WIP I have lol. It dares to start asking the question, "What if the Old Guard adopted Adam Young, the antichrist from Good Omens?"

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I know of.

12. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Sort of? There was one collab fic I wrote a scene for but it never got finished. Someday I might post my part, because ngl I'm pretty proud of the Skull/Lucy banter in it.

13. What’s your all time favorite ship? How could I ever choose??? By bookmark stats, it would be Marinette and Adrien from Miraculous Ladybug. But cot3 (Lockwood & Co) and Superbat (DC) are up there too.

14. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? A better question is what isn't a WIP I'll never finish??? I have dozens 😭 Though one that stands out is an old Frozen fic I outlined in I think 2018(?). The premise is a canon divergence where Anna's death is faked when they're children and she's raised in the village instead of in the castle. There are two full acts that are just set up for a The Prince And Me/Princess Diaries-esque rom-com between suddenly-a-princess Anna and just-a-normal-guy Kristoff.

The outline on its own is about 8k words, and frankly I've considered editing and posting the outline itself before because it's detailed enough. This fic is actually a drabble I wrote to take place within my AU, but it reads canon compliant enough of its own so I posted it.

15. What are your writing strengths? Ideas. I am always getting new plot bunnies, always getting excited about the next great idea, always thinking about new aspects of these worlds and characters I want to explore.

16. What are your writing weaknesses? Dialogue and volume. That's why I write so many descriptive, very short fics XD

17. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I'd only do it in a language I've studied for a couple years, and even then I would want a native speaker to read over it for me. But it hasn't come up yet?

I do really like Superbat or Star Trek fics where the author sparingly includes Kryptonian / Klingon / Vulcan with a translation at the end.

18. First fandom you wrote for? My Little Pony, or maybe Percy Jackson?? I'm too scared to check my old accounts to see which came first, if I ever even posted the fics I remember writing then at all.

19. Favorite fic you’ve written? building glass castles for sure!!! I love the atmosphere in it, and the monologue from Skull. That monologue came to me in the middle of the night once, so I had to type it up immediately and build the fic around it later.

Firstly because of their shared past, and secondly, because of the scars they had on their hands: a tiny pale line on the skin between their ring and pinky fingers. Super!mari: is she full kryptonian, half, or a clone?

I have multiple Super!Mari ideas. My Main one is that she's a clone but not like Conner.

She was born, unlike Kon. Lex Luthor implanted Clarks DNA into a woman called Bridgette Le.

While Bridgette was Human, she had high Magical Potential which later helped Marinette becoming Ladybug.
