Finally posting my stupid shit! Please know that there's some sus stuff uwu (it's not too bad, nothing explicit, but still kinda...iffy I suppose.) Also there is a mention of sh!IM READING THROUGH AGAIN AND REALIZING WHAT I WROTE PLEASE CHECK TAGS FOR TRIGGERS

Ok so like smth smth this lab is testing people to see if they can like, contact people of the past. (OK HEAR ME OUT MAYBE ITS KAIBA TRYING TO FIND HIS LONG-DEAD LOVE, ATEM, AND IT WOULD BE GREAT FLARESHIPPING AND HERES WHY) There are multiple people who get tested because they're getting paid to do so, and they have this 'coach' kinda, it's basically just ai trying to get into their minds and use different methods to get them in touch with the past. I imagined smth along the lines of 'Let the lines of reality and fantasy blur together' because that's like. A thing™️. And the first part of it is really just putting them in a deep sleep and monitoring the brain waves + body functions. They only do it for a couple hours every day so as not to exhaust the mind, and there are little things that allow the scientists to see that they potentially have the ability to contact the past. Time + that ability decides how long they are in the program for. Enter Yugi. Kame Game is going through a rough time, so he wants to help out and make a little money on the side to keep the shop open. It's Gramps' dream, and he loves it and his Gramps, he can't just let it die. It helps that he knew Kaiba in passing at school, though he never talked to him beyond a quite hello. Kaiba was the only person who never bullied him, tbh. (The only person outside of his friend group, because Anzu also never bullied him) So he goes, and his potential is off the charts. Now, every person has to sign a contract before they enter the program. On the contract it states that they are required to participate for as long as KC needs up to 3 years. They get compensated by day at a bit above minimum wage, so they do make a pretty hefty amount, and would be making a lot for 3 years. Because of Yugi's potential, he is given a room at KC and isolated from the outside world - for the most part. He can call/text/etc, but he cannot see friends or family in-person unless they get approved to visit.

They only get approved for like, once a week, so Yugi is pretty lonely. He hasn't even been allowed to meet Kaiba yet, and that's because he'll only get to meet Kaiba when he starts to venture into Ancient Egypt (within his mind) and Kaiba will need to be there with his tech. He'll have Yugi talk to Atem and use his tech to translate the thoughts into words + videos. So, because Yugi is isolated, and thanks to the mind exercises, he actually starts to dive deeper into that part of his mind. The coach + the deep sleep have successfully blurred the lines between real and fantasy, so now all he really needs to do is explore and break them. Enter the millennium puzzle, which, instead of a huge-ass gold necklace, is actually a small, 3d charm. It's about the size of a pin. He keeps it with him because Gramps gave it to him, and yes, he actually did have to solve it, but it was more like a mind-bender than an actual puzzle because of how small it is. When he solved it, he felt something deep within him, something that buried itself within but did not emerge. IT WAS insert risque joke here because I'm immature It was a connection with Atem, but at the time his mind wasn't strong enough to hold that connection in a more physical way, which would be possession, and eventually Atem forming his own body using some of Yugi's life force. Yugi felt the connection grow as he did the coaching, and that's why his stats were off the charts. He starts to get flashes of life through someone else's eyes: towering pyramids, endless deserts, foreign clothes. From there, it only deepens, grows more personal. He starts to see people he doesn't know, and then he starts to know them as friends/family. Then he starts feeling things: happiness, sadness, anger, frustration, joy, excitement. He forgets about it as soon as he snaps out of the flashes, however, so he never reports them. Because they also aren't active at the time he does his tests, the readings don't spike.

They only grow steadily with each passing day, each flash of someone else's life. Finally, they reach a point that Yugi is ready to meet this person, ready for the next step. He meets Kaiba, and Kaiba is just. He sees that Yugi looks like his lover, and he is shocked. But he also finds himself drawn toward Yugi, and not because of the way he looks, just the way he smiles nervously and waves, and the way flitting memories jump in and out of his head from when they attended school together. He ignores the feelings, however. He has a lover. The point of Yugi is to establish communication with his lover. And so Yugi is shown the next step. It's very sci-fi-y. It's basically this cylindrical tube that will fill with gel around him. He'll be put into a sleep wherein all of his body functions will stop. He will literally be dead. Like, legally dead. For a few hours. Every day. There will be nodes attached to him that will monitor brain waves, and he gets a fucking \~\~sexy\~\~ cool suit. It's either skintight ( ;3 ) with some awesome design or more like thin armor. Obviously he's hesitant, but he did sign a contract and he does need the money - turns out, Kaiba is now paying him double the amount promised - so he goes through with it. He does have one condition, however: the charm stays with him. Kaiba says it's fine after scanning it - it won't interfere with his tech. Now, day of, Yugi has a major panic attack and they actually have to give him some meds so that his anxiety doesn't mess with the process. Other than that, everything goes smoothly, and Yugi is 'dead' before he gets put in the tube and it gets filled. They initiate the process by doing the coaching again, this time using things like images and videos, all from Kaiba's memory. And so Yugi is transported to Ancient Egypt. He stands in a large chamber, staring at a sleeping figure in bed. Sleeping figure is, obviously, Atem, and Yugi immediately knows his name + remembers the flitting life and knows it was his.

So, he explains to Atem who he is, and Atem ends up remembering stuff too cause he felt the connection as well AND saw Yugi's life. They hit it off, and kinda bring up details of their lives, and Atem asks, 'Why are you here?' Yugi answers he is there via KaibaCorp, and Atem is. Atem is shooketh. 'Kaibacorp? As in Seto Kaiba?!' He is frantic at that point, and when Yugi says yes, his eyes light up with joy. His lover is alive and well. He demands to hear more about Kaiba, and Yugi tells him everything he knows. Meanwhile, back at KC, unbeknownst to Yugi, Kaiba is crying. He can hear/see every part of the conversation, and his heart holds so much love for Atem, all he can see is Atem, all he wants is Atem. The union is over too soon, however, and Yugi must leave. He comes back to being pulled into a hug by a crying Kaiba. 'Thank you. You found him. You found him.'

Yugi is just like 'wut' and thatttt is when the drama starts. (good drama) Kaiba explains that he once came into a power, a great power. The power led him to Ancient Egypt, where he stayed for close to a year under the Pharaoh's watchful eye. Atem is actually very smart/clued in, and when Kaiba told him he was from the future, he knew the man was telling the truth. So he decided he wanted Kaiba at his side, wanted to learn about the future. He figured he would die young due to everything that happened and etc etc, so he wanted to know as much as possible, even at the risk of his safety. (That's part of the reason Kaiba was crying so much. Atem told him often during their time together that his time was coming and also mentioned that he was reckless thanks to guilt about what his father did. No sense of self-preservation. So Kaiba did worry that Atem would die in the time he'd been gone.) Anyway, they fell in love over time, Kaiba falling for Atem's passion and never-ending love for his people, Atem falling for Kaiba's straightforward mind. They both had complicated lives and pride over what they'd accomplished. It also helped that they played similar games ^^ Unfortunately, Kaiba felt himself fading one day, and he told Atem, and the next day he was gone. Both of them were heartbroken, especially when Kaiba found that he couldn't go back to Egypt. And then, of course, there was the tablet. The tablet arrived at Domino's museum, and Kaiba for some reason went to look at it and that's where he found himself and Atem, both etched into the stone. He was able to keep his expression calm when he left, but once in the privacy of his office, he sobbed and broke a lot of stuff. Including the coffee pot. Actually, the janitor was very concerned and thought someone had managed to break in then ransacked the place. Now, the one thing with Kaiba is that I don't see him harming himself, but he unconsciously digs his nails into his skin.

And it had happened before, but it happened more after he had to leave Atem. He also chews his nails. Big time. Like, yeah, his nails looks awesome in the show/movie, but I can tell you he is a nail biter. I can sense it. He just wears fake nails lol. (Damn bro how you make them look so good, teach me!) He started the program a year later after hearing about people who supposedly could see the past. Yugi came into the picture about half a year into the program.

Anyway, from there (Yugi's first meeting with Atem) he basically just had Yugi go back each day and meet with Atem. Yugi asked if he had any messages to relay, but Kaiba wasn't ready yet to say anything. He wanted to get a feel for Atem. He was hesitant because yeah, his heart had already been broken once, what if it broke twice? After all, he couldn't exactly get back there and physically be with Atem. It would kill him inside to have to have a relationship via Yugi. Now, Yugi also met Atem whenever he slept. And he was physically there, but also not. He could feel, he could taste, etc etc. He made it his mission to find out as much as possible about Atem for Kaiba, and to become friends. He found himself attracted to Atem, but did not act on anything, instead shoving it down because ya know. Kaiba. Atem also started to fall for Yugi, but because of what happened with Kaiba, he refused to act on those feelings. He couldn't stomach heartbreak again + he had a gut feeling he was going to die soon anyway. He didn't want to hurt someone.

Yugi, having gone to such lengths to try to help Kaiba with his broken heart, actually won over Kaiba. Like, the attraction Kaiba felt before? He felt it taking over and filling his heart with such a deep love. Yugi was sweet and gentle and kind, and he figured that he and Atem weren't possible, so he kinda let the love grow. Yugi didn't feel anything for Kaiba, not yet, but he definitely knew Kaiba was handsome AND he had this strong urge to always be there for Kaiba.

Over time, things stayed about the same, that affection between the three kinda growing but no one ever saying anything. And then, one day, everything snapped. TK blamed Atem for everything his father had done, and Atem knew something was going to happen to him, so he kinda blocked Yugi from joining him in Egypt. Both Yugi and Kaiba knew something was wrong, but it was Kaiba who went into a full-blown panic, and it was Kaiba who knew what was coming. He told Yugi that Atem was going to die. And he hadn't even asked Yugi to relay a message.

Indeed, Atem did die. He actually welcomed the death. He knew someone had been lurking in the shadows, and knew what their intent was. Obviously he didn't expect it to be someone who had survived the horrors of what his father did, but he actually felt glad that it would be one of them killing him. And so Atem fell to the blade of TK. He actually smiled and walked up to TK, kneelung before him and offering his throat. 'It's ok. Though I'm sure you don't need to hear that to kill me. Just...do not feel guilt. Someone must pay off the debt weighing on my bloodline, and that must be me.' So yeah, Atem died, TK was actually pretty shaken afterward - he'd never killed someone who was so...innocent. Yes, he'd killed guards and he'd killed townsfolk, but never anyone who hadn't done atrocious things. Atem was a peaceful pharaoh, and kind, and pure.

And thisssss is where things get interesting, ok. Very interesting. Yugi knew the moment Atem died because he felt a sharp pain across his throat, then a sudden crushing presence in his mind, as well as his connection swelling to envelop all of him. It was agony for him, but his body was ready to let the pharaoh inhabit it, or he pretty much would've died. He did, however, have to go to the hospital. Kaiba was with him every step of the way, even as he cried. Yugi couldn't speak, so he figured that was the death of Atem, that was the end of everything. He also feared for Yugi's life, then.

He begged Yugi not to die, even resorting to praying to every god he could think of. (I mean. I think Kaiba is basically atheist.) He was by Yugi's side every step of the way, he was crying every step of the way, he hated every second of hearing Yugi cry out and watching him shiver with each painful flinch that racked his body. And then Yugi stabilized. He was ok. The doctors said he was in a coma, though. Next day, despite what they'd said, he woke. Except it wasn't Yugi who woke up, it was Atem. And Kaiba knew. Kaiba knew by the ancient words that graced Yugi's lips, the way his voice suddenly became accentuated, the way those eyes seemed to turn a caring dark red, the way his hand came up to caress his cheek and he deepened Yugi's voice as he said, 'My love.' And Kaiba cried again, this time a happy cry as he let himself be pet. And then Atem told him he must go, and reassured him he was just retreating into Yugi's mind so that Yugi could be present. Yugi had watched the entire thing, and he had a blush as he pulled his hand gently back, as well as a broken heart. Though he'd shoved down his love for this exact reason, he still felt like shit when he was basically rejected.

Following that, Yugi and Atem worked together so that they had equal times controlling the body, and so that it was convenient for Yugi. Yugi remained isolated, this time with no visitors, until he could figure out how to explain the whole 'Hey I have a pharaoh sharing my body' thing. He also made sure that Atem blocked him out when he wanted private time with Kaiba, whether it was just talking or...them having a different sort of reunion. ;3

So that meant he was blocked out when Kaiba and Atem decided to have a talk about him. It was obvious they were both attracted to him, and it was obvious they both wanted him. So they talked about it, about the possibility of having another lover. Atem was also very aware of how Yugi felt about them both, and how he pushed down his feelings.

It was on a day that Yugi was in control and Atem had managed to make himself a sort of ghost that both of them could see that they told him. They said they both loved him, and they both would like very much for him to be their lover. Yugi was quick to say 'Oh no no, that's fine, I know you two are involved, and I'm really happy for you!' They both grabbed Yugi's hands and said 'We want you to be involved too. We want it to be all three of us. We love you, Yugi.' And that was the day Yugi snagged himself two lovers. It was a very good day. It was also the day he discovered exactly how fun it was to be in bed with two people at the same time. ;3 (He couldn't walk the next day hehehehehhehehe)

And then it was finally time for Atem to get his own body. Yugi had enough life force in him to keep himself alive and form Atem's body, thanks to the love both Kaiba and Atem gave him. So, Atem got his own body, but this time it wasn't painful and no one ended up in hospital. I mean, except when Yugi convinced Kaiba to sit on his face, he mayyyyy have broken his neck.

-Most things are canon, such as Yugi's history with Anzu, Jou, and Honda, but he only knew Kaiba in passing, and, as I mentioned, Kaiba would only wave or say hi to him -Kaiba is more lovey dovey. He smiles, he cares, he's pretty sweet beneath it all. -Kaiba's power was the cube from DSOD, he found it locked away in one of Gozaburo's rooms. (Basically the same shit happened with Gozaburo) -Mokuba is the same as usual, but most people don't know Kaiba has a brother, and he's also pretty shy despite being a complete gremlin -They're all in their 20s, and Yugi attends an online college (during the time of him doing the program, he was taking a break from college to help his Gramps with Kame Game) -Yugi has much the same personality, he's very quiet and very caring/loving, will literally do anything in his power to help people out, but he definitely has a side of him that likes to push him out of his comfort zone. (For example, he once did skydiving with Jou. He also vowed to never do it again LMFAO) Also, for the record, Yugi is a switch that tends toward a more dominant position. (Hear me out. Atem is such a fucking bottom. Ok. Like, it's funny, I started out like oh, psh, yeah, he's totallyyyyy a top. But like. 1) He's sensitive. Very sensitive. He would grow used to things, sure, but I just hc him as always being so sensitive hehe. I mean he could be a top, but I feel like he would need a power bottom if that's the case. 2) Atem would quite literally die for his partner(s) he would also wanna worship them, and ya know, be at the mercy of them. I do think he would also want to be someone who claims another, but he also has insecurities I feel like and wants someone to claim him in order to tell him he has a place. It's not just smut. It's emotional smut. 🥺 3) Tbh I just love to read about Atem getting railed -They all have the same outfits, but Yugi picked out matching pajamas for the three of them. -Kaiba I see as a top, but I can also see him as a hesitant switch. He likes to be in control, but he actually goes to Yugi and Atem one day saying he wants to bottom. He's so shyyyy about it, it's really cute. Of course his lovers can't refuse an expression like that. Also, out of all them, Kaiba is the fucking loudest. He will scream his throat raw. Also Yugi is so down bad for those long legs, it is a thing. Yugi x Long Legs, I ship it. wheeze

Tony Buckets way of the bucket shirt

I was just starting to build my flock of chickens from the four I already had (one rooster, three hens) to a Tony Buckets way of the bucket shirt of ten. I bought six little two day old chicks from the local feed store – assured by the staff that all six would grow to be beautiful hens. Since I already had a rooster – and two roosters rarely get along – so wanted to be sure these were female. I named my chickens after dead movie stars (yes truly… don’t judge) but my Aunt Delores wanted one named after her, so I chose a Golden Phoenix chick and named her “Delores”. When Delores was eight weeks old, I began to have suspicions that she was edging towards a gender change. Delores was quite a bit larger than her step sisters, and was growing a more pronounced comb and longer tail feathers than the typical hen. However, denial is a powerful characteristic, and I tried to convince myself that Delores really WAS a hen and maybe she was just big boned.

Warning: none Summary: Teenage vampire Andrew ran away from home with his friends and is now living the wild musician life he always dreamed of. But he can't let go of his family completely. His two siblings, Hel and Matthew, are still in touch with Andrew. And it is precisely through this strong bond of three that Andrew can help his friend.

Andrew, Hel and Matthew. Three siblings, so similar and yet so different. Sometimes Andrew could have smashed his siblings against the next wall, but on days like this he missed them both very much.

It was a rainy Sunday afternoon and Andrew looked out the window with tired eyes. At that time Andrew was actually a bit too big for a youthful war, but basically Andrew didn't even know if he was still youthful. He and his twin sister Hel never knew how old they were or when it was their birthday. But basically it didn't matter. Basically, that made Andrew's situation even easier. A year and a half ago Andrew was fed up with his parents and the life that was forced upon him. So he packed his things and left with his best friend Aeryn. They formed a band together, found new members and are now known in the country as an indie teenager band. Andrew did not contact his parents during this time. He feared that his father would bring him back.

Only one person in the family knew where he was. His twin sister Hel. He would regularly write her letters and tell of his adventures and she would write back to tell him about her home. Of course, both used a code for this, so that in the worst case, Frey and Loken could not be announced where he was. At least that's what Andrew thought at the time...

Tired, Andrew shouted to himself his eyes were clouded by a mix of fog and light rain, the view out of the window. A small package lies on the floor next to him. Andrew hadn't opened it yet and actually he was too tired. He had been writing new songs for the band all night and all day. With a loud bang, the door opens and the youthful Thomas enters the room.

"Hey you meatballs. Here you are too. Aeryn and Felix want to go into town and shop for supplies. Do you want to come along?"

Andrew remembered. Soon there was a full moon again, which means Felix will transform again soon. Felix was the only non-vampire in the group and not even a wizard at all. He was a muggle born to a criminal werewolf a few years ago. Andrew, Aeryn and Thomas found Felix and took him in. They helped him understand what happened to him. Within a year, the four became like a family. Shortly before the full moon, the four chaotic buy supplies and new wolfsbane. In fact, most of the money goes into this potion. But Felix didn't know that. He would feel too guilty.

While Andrew was still wondering if he wanted to go into town today, Thomas saw the package on the floor.

"Oh! New message from home? Has Hel sent you some more stuff?"

Andreas Nickte: "Yes, but I don't know what yet. This time it's a bit harder than normal and really weird.”

Thomas seemed to have changed his plans and also sat down on the floor next to the package: "What are you waiting for? open it I want to see what stupid hat she sends you this time!”

Since Andrew and Hel exchanged letters, Hel occasionally sends packages with gifts. For Andrew it's always a horrible looking hat that doesn't match Andrew's punk/metal look in any way. Despite this, Andrew always wears one of these hats in public without explaining why. It was a little game between the twins.

Andrew knew he wasn't going to get Thomas out of the room anyway, so he sat down next to his friend and opened the package. The content made both eyes widen.

The package was filled with Wolfsbane potions and a letter. How did Hel...? Andrew immediately opened his sister's letter and began to read it.

"Hello idiot.

I know what's going on with you guys, so I'm not really interested in discussions. The potions are from Matthew. It's the current holiday at Hogwarts and Matthew tells me he's mastered the potion now. I know how expensive that shit is so we got the ingredients so we could practice mate. So these potions are something special! If you throw them away, I'll shave your head when we meet again. Don't think I would send you money. I know you'd be too proud to accept it. Oh yes, the hat is for you. Don't fail at the next concert! Otherwise I'll have to be ashamed of you."

But Andrew was silent and smiles at the letter. He got it right away. Hel knew about Felix and she knew that the band uses almost all the money for him. But they also knew that Andrew would never allow Hel to send him money. Instead, she checkmates her brother and sends him homemade potions from Matthew. Andrew had to admit that having a brother who goes to magic school can be an advantage. So Andrew couldn't send the things back. Andrew took the pink cowboy hat with feather boa out of the package and put it on.

It was moments like this when he was not only proud but also incredibly grateful for his siblings. Of course, Aeryn, Thomas and Felix were like family to him too. But nobody ever understood him as well as his sister and younger brother.

This is a crazy confession for me but I used to be an anti. I hated the Tom and Zendaya dating rumors because I used to think she was an entitled Disney girl from KC undercover. I thought her acting was just okay and she didn’t show emotion well. I thought she was so overrated. The issue is I was ignorant. And no this is not a race thing. I didn’t know much about her. It wasn’t until I did a little research that I started to see what it was Tom was always talking about seeing all the good she has done and how unproblematic she is and how humble. She works very hard, even if she isn’t the greatest actress of all time she is young and learning and improving. She does so much charity work. She is such a beautiful and sweet person. I didn’t like her because I didn’t take the time to get to know her from a fan perspective. Now I just love her. What a great human. I feel bad I felt that way about her in the beginning and I’m happy to say how wonderful of a person she is especially in comparison to some other celebrities that are her age. I can see why her and Tom are attracted to each other. If anything she’s one of the greats and so is he. They are a beautiful couple and I am happy for them both.

I’m so glad that you were able to do more of your own research on Zendaya (instead of just relying on negative rumors or what antis/trolls say 🙄), and came to form your own opinions about her. I also like to look at what OTHER people who have met her or come in contact with her, or who work with her say about her! It’s all overwhelmingly positive! 🥰 I also like to look at what she says out of her own mouth. When she was way more active on social media (ie. snap), you could see waaay more of her personality and humor. 😂 She really is not pretentious at all lol. She’s kindof goofy actually lol.

I’ve been a fan of Zendaya’s for a while (not as long as some, but long enough), and I have YET to see her say or do anything that I felt was just so horrible that it warranted even half the amount of hate that I constantly see her receive in some segments of the fandom. Zendaya has always struck me as a fun, funny, dorky, kind, sweet, hard-working, dedicated, kind of shy, humble young woman in the industry. For someone who is as famous and well-known as she is, she’s got to have one of the best heads on her shoulders, and it appears she hasn’t let fame get to her head at all. Even Tom himself has always said how kind, down-to-earth, chill, and easy-going she is, and how even at her level of fame she’s just really humble! 😊

She also comes across as super relatable as well. Back when she was more active on social media/Snap Chat, you could see how relatable she is. She’s actually one of the few celebrities in the industry who I would actually not feel any fear or apprehension in going up to her to meet her (if I ever saw her in person one day lol) because she just seems THAT nice, kind, and appreciative to her fans. The best thing too I like about Z is that (as you mentioned) she does a LOT of charity work, and does such nice things for people, but you never see her tooting her own horn about it. You just later on read that people shared what nice things she did for them. She’s a very private person who’s had to learn as she went along how to navigate growing fame in her teens and early 20′s, and now she’s learning how to manage her fame in her adult life. That can’t be easy. This industry is not easy at all, and it can be hard for women in general, let alone, a woc. 😔

(***Btw, if not hating on someone all the time 24/7 means I’m “kissing their butt” 🙄, well then oh well. 🤷 I just don’t believe in hating on someone 24/7 when they haven’t given me any valid reasons to.)

Again, I choose to trust what OTHERS who know her WELL have said about her ,and I highly doubt that Tom would be in love with her (or even dating her) for all this time if she were a horrible person. His family and friends alone would have some words with him lol. Tom really found himself a gem in a person, and she likewise. I’m so happy for them because I love seeing two genuinely good people finding love with each other. 🥰 Any so-called “fan” of Tom’s who is angry, upset, or bashing his girlfriend (who he loves) all the time, is NOT a true fan, and Tom would be so hurt (and turned OFF) to read some of the things some of his fans are saying about his gf who he loves and who he has dated for 3 years now. 😔

No, Zendaya isn’t the best actress on the planet lol, but she’s learning, she’s growing, and she’s perfecting her craft. She wants to grow and improve in her acting. I feel like one day she will definitely get there. She has a lot of potential, she just needs more time and practice being more vulnerable on-camera. I feel like Euphoria has definitely helped her to go places she never even dreamed she could go, and who knows what this season might bring? When the car rolls to a stop beside the curb in front of the apartment building the two of you reside in, Charlie finds that the energy in the car now shifts from a nervous tension to one of anticipation. With a twist of his wrist, he kills the engine and removes the key from the ignition just as he turns his attention to the man sitting beside him.

“If you can manage to keep your grasp on that final fraying tether of patience, I promise you, this little detour of yours will be worth it.”

Offering Matt a knowing smirk, Charlie makes his exit from the vehicle before leading Matt inside to where his apartment lies.

Matt trails behind his new associate, entering the apartment door leading into the kitchen, taking in the surroundings from the high ceilings to the immaculately white walls and countertops; there are dozens of frames hanging and multiple vases of fresh flowers decorating the apartment—so much space, so much light; the only speck of stain in the entire place being Matt’s dark form. He wasn’t used to places that were...so well put together, making him wonder yet again why he was here, where he clearly did not belong.

Finally, his wary eyes land on KC when Charlie approaches to place a tender kiss on her cheek; her arms wrapping tightly around the man’s neck as he sweeps her into a comforting embrace. Her eyes land on Matt suspiciously from over Charlie’s shoulder, taking in the stranger from top to bottom and back again; landing at his face, laser-focusing on his predatory orbs. She knows a dangerous person when she sees one, and this man was oozing with it.

“I was worried,” she whispers in Charlie’s ear, refusing to let her gaze stray from the stranger who is standing in her shared home, ensuring he doesn’t make a move. Likewise, Matt doesn’t drop his eyes, keeping contact with KC through this moment between her and his mentor.

‘A worthy opponent…’ Matt considers, recognizing the hint of darkness swirling in her vision, captivated and intrigued by her silent, bold challenge. His mouth slowly forms into a bestial grin, teeth flashing like fangs.

In response to the expression, KC's eyes narrow and her hold inadvertently tightens on Charlie, fingers curling into the fabric of the sweater that he wears. Charlie has always been quite the judge of character, she knows—and though the man standing before her is nothing more than a stranger, it’s impossible to miss the likeness that the three share from the expression that he wears alone. He is like us, she realizes.

“Forgive me,” Charlie murmurs as he tightens his embrace briefly before pulling away, ensuring that he keeps one arm hooked around her waist whilst he turns to face Matt. “But as you can see,” he says with a wave of his hand towards their guest, “I have been rather tied up showing our new friend here the ropes.”

KC hums in acknowledgement just as Charlie delves into the pleasantries, introducing both her and Matt to one another with such an ease that would leave one assuming the men had known one another for far longer than just tonight. The grasp of Matt’s hand around KC's when she reaches to shake it in greeting is just as strong as when she’d met Charlie eighteen months ago—and, oh, the things those hands had done to her since… She wonders if Matt is equally as capable.

“Angel,” Charlie coos, redirecting her gaze back to him as her hand now falls away from Matt’s. “I’ve invited Matt over for a drink,” he says pointedly. “Why don’t you fix him up something pretty.”

The beginnings of a smirk dance across her face as she turns and heeds Charlie’s instructions, disappearing from the room and into the hall to make her way into the bedroom. It won’t take KC long, he knows, to get ready. This is far from her first time, getting herself all dressed up for Charlie, though it is her first time having the opportunity to entertain a third party.

“Pretty,” Matt asks once she's disappeared from view, his attention moving back to Charlie who’s mouth upturns into that of a smirk.

He hums in immediate response, his head nodding as he reaches out and clasps his hand atop Matt’s shoulder, the gesture earning him a glare that he ignores. Charlie directs Matt towards the hall, taking slow, deliberate steps to allow KC the time that she needs to get herself ready for the both of them.

“I’ve invited you over for a drink, now it’s only fair said drink be mouthwateringly presentable or else what hosts would we be?” Charlie’s steps halt when he reaches the threshold of the bedroom door which is closed save for a slight crack where he can easily peer inside to ensure that she is indeed finished. Satisfied, he presses a palm to the door and pushes it open before ushering Matt in and following close behind.

Just as he’d anticipated, Charlie finds KC seated on the edge of the bed, hands resting behind her atop the covers as she leans back to better put herself on display. She is a vision in black with touches of emerald woven into the lacy material that she wears, the color accenting her skin perfectly. Charlie takes a moment to soak in the sight of her, enjoying the view even as he hears the audible gulp of Matt beside him. A grin spreads across Charlie’s face, and when he turns to look at the man next to him, he’s pleased to note that the blonde cannot seem to look away.

“Go on,” Charlie urges, which finally catches Matt’s attention, his head swiveling to look over at the brunette. “Have your fill.”

When she woke the next morning, it took Lizzie some time to come to grips with where she was. She reluctantly opened her eyes and immediately regretted it; the room started spinning around her and she groaned from the white hot pain in her head.

But her head wasn’t the only thing that hurt; she felt shattered to the bone from the strain of doubling on shows the day before, and she could tell her muscles would be aching like hell before long.

With a heavy sigh she turned her head and frowned at the sight of a familiar shock of black hair next to her. Her frown deepened as she tried and failed to recall last night’s memories.

The last thing she remembered was her sweet-talking the barkeeper into selling them one of the many bottles of whiskeys on display behind the bar where she and Orion had crashed. They had shared it on their way home; maybe the combination of alcohol, complete exhaustion and fresh air hadn’t been the best one after all.

Lizzie rolled onto her stomach and brushed her tangled hair out of her face. She cursed under her breath as the dizziness hit her again; she placed one hand against the headboard of the bed and steadied herself until she didn’t feel like she was in a boat on a rough sea anymore.

The air of the room was cold against her bare skin, making her pull the duvet up around her. She bit her lip with a hint of bad conscience as she watched Orion’s peacefully sleeping face; she had no recollection of last night, neither of hooking up with him or joining him in his room in the first place.

With the warmth of her body suddenly gone from his arms, Orion seemed to be pulled from his dreams as well. He sighed sleepily before opening his eyes. Raking his fingers through his black hair, a smile spread on his face.

“Good morning,” he muttered drowsily, his voice still hoarse from sleep. “How long have you been awake?”

“Just a few minutes.”

Lizzie propped herself up on her elbows and reached for her phone to check the time. It was a lot later than she would have thought; she should have already been in her own room for ages by now.

“Bloody hell, how much did we drink last night?” she muttered as she dropped the phone again and snuggled back into the pillows.

Orion laughed softly. “Me? Not so much. You? Well…” he chuckled, “how much do you remember?”

Lizzie felt the heat rising to her face. “Not that much, to be honest,” she admitted sheepishly.

Orion placed a hand on his chest and feigned a hurt expression. “And there was me thinking last night was special.”

Still red in the face, she swatted him playfully. “You didn’t make that much of an impression if I don’t even remember it.”

He caught her wrist and held it with no effort at all. “Don’t worry, I’m just kidding; nothing to make an impression of. You actually fell asleep on me.”

Mortified at his words, Lizzie buried her face against his chest. “I am so sorry,” she said, the vibrations of her words against his ribcage making Orion laugh.

“Don’t worry, it’s alright; we were both really drunk and really tired.”

She raised his eyes to meet his. “No, it’s not alright.”

Her expression suddenly shifted as her eyes began to sparkle mischievously. She put her hand on his chest, her fingers tiptoeing lightly across his skin.

“That was incredibly impolite of me,” she purred into his ear, making Orion hold his breath. “Let me make it up to you.”

He smirked at her, his thumb running over her lower lip. “We do have some things left unfinished.”

Her eyes flashing, she gave him a short yet passionate kiss before she slowly started moving downwards, her lips and tongue drawing patterns on his skin that were feeling like a trail of fire.

Orion’s smirk vanished from his face as she reached her destination and wrapped her lips around him. His breath hitching, his head dropped back into the pillows and he had to stifle a low moan. When his breathing became more and more ragged, he gently signalled her to stop.

Lizzie looked up at him questioningly, the corners of her mouth twitching into a smirk as she saw the glazed expression in his eyes.

“You alright?” she asked innocently.

She made a disappointed face when he moved out from under her. That quickly changed, however, when he reached out and pulled her to him for a kiss that left both of them breathless.

“That’s a two-way street we’re going down here,” he mumbled between kisses; her hands roaming his body made it hard for him to concentrate on forming a clear sentence.

“You’re not the one who has to make amends,” Lizzie hummed against his mouth.

The feeling of her skin against his was all Orion could think about. His hands ran down her ribcage, over her tattoo and waistline until they came to rest on her hips.

“Then let me decide how I want you to do that.”

The grip on her hips tightening, he pulled her onto his lap and Lizzie moved along on instinct. When she lowered herself on top of him, Orion leaned his head back against the headboard, trying to breathe deeply to not get overwhelmed by the feeling of her.

He waited until she was ready, taking in the sight of her. Her messy hair was spilling over one of her shoulders and he saw the muscles in her toned arms work as she held onto him for support. They made eye contact, and the look in her blue eyes was intense, the smile on her face making them shine. It wasn’t the usual flirty smirk he knew from her, but a lot softer; if Orion hadn’t known any better, he’d called it almost shy.

Her hand went to his face, her thumb running over his unshaved cheek before she leaned in and kissed him.

“Ready?” she whispered, before she started moving on top of him. They immediately found their common rhythm, being well attuned to each other after all these months.

Time seemed to slow down as they moved against each other, everything else fading into the background. All Orion could concentrate on was their synchronised movements, his head spinning from the scent of her and their mingled breaths as Lizzie kissed him again and again.

All his senses were imbued with her as he held her close. It wasn’t long before Orion felt her tensing under his hands. He relished the feeling of her head against his collarbone and her fingers dipping into his shoulders as she rode out her high. Still moving, he felt her lips on the sensitive spot where his shoulder met his neck; when her teeth nipped the soft skin, the momentary flash of sweet pain was enough to send him over the edge as well. Hanging on to the feeling of his release, he only hugged her closer.

Their movements slowly came to a halt as their breathing calmed. Orion kissed the top of her head as Lizzie climbed off him. She smiled and leaned against him, her head nestled into the crook of his neck as his arms went around her.

They sat like this for some time, neither one of them speaking, just enjoying the closeness they were sharing. Orion was on the point of dozing off, his fingers drawing lazy circles on Lizzie’s arm, when a sharp knock on the door brought him violently back to the here and now.

“Oi, heads up, lovebirds,” Skye could be heard a moment later. “Dad’s on the way, so you might want to get dressed and get Jameson back to her own room, I’d say.”

With a curse, Lizzie jumped out of the bed, gathering up her clothes that still lay strewn all over the floor. She was only half dressed when another knock sounded on the door. This time, it was Ethan’s voice on the other side.

“Orion, are you up already?”

Lizzie and Orion shared a panicked look. The only way out was blocked by Ethan and hiding in the bathroom was not an option, in case he would want to come in.

Ethan knocked again and Orion looked around the room for a resolution to their problem. When his gaze fell onto the small wardrobe, Lizzie crossed her arms in front of her chest, mouthing a silent “No way”.

Ethan was waiting in the doorway with raised eyebrows when Orion finally opened the door. Everybody knew he was an early riser, so Ethan had probably expected him to be awake. Nonetheless, Orion tried putting on his best sleepy face.

“Sorry, did I wake you up?” Ethan said, before a knowing grin spread on his face. He shifted slightly, trying to peek around Orion into the messy room behind him.

“Am I coming at a bad time?” he grinned.

Orion leaned against the doorframe, effectively blocking his view. “Not at all.”

He knew there was nothing compromising Ethan would be able to see from where he was standing, but his tousled hair, lack of shirt and the red mark on his collarbone were telling a story of their own. Ethan had been part of the business for far too long to not come to his own conclusions.

“No shame in taking a groupie to your room after a show, mate,” he laughed jovially, clapping Orion on the shoulder. “We all did it one time or another.”

Orion’s face remained stone cold. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Still laughing, the former rockstar shook his head. “If you say so.”

His face grew more serious as he continued, “Just make sure not to stir up any hopes in the poor girl. That never ends well. Getting too involved can get messy, believe an old stager.”

“If you say so,” Orion echoed his words, making it very clear that it was time for Ethan to leave.

Taking the hint, Ethan stepped back from the door. “You don’t happen to know where Lizzie is, do you? No one answered when I knocked on her door.”

“I’ve literally just woken up,” Orion replied, his voice not betraying his rapidly beating heart. “Maybe she’s on a run with Skye?”

“No, I just saw Skye going downstairs with Erika.”

Orion shrugged. “Then I don’t know. Maybe just text her?”

“Yeah, I’ll do that,” Ethan mused, “anyway, I just wanted to let you know that the band meeting is in half an hour down in the breakfast room. See you then.”

He turned on his heel and marched away, so he didn’t see the relief flickering across Orion’s face as he shut the door again.

No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t hide his smug grin when he opened the door of his wardrobe. He found Lizzie sitting on the board above the shoe rag, folded together as tightly as she could manage. She stared at him glumly.

“That’s not what I imagined hiding a groupie in my room would be like, but I guess you’ll have to make do,” he laughed as he helped her climb out; all the while, she was muttering curses under her breath.

“You call me a groupie one more time and I swear, you’ll rue the day,” Lizzie grumbled and poked her index finger into his chest, making him grin all the wider. She had shrugged into one of his shirts to cover herself up; it almost reached down to the middle of her thighs, the curves of her breasts barely visible through the open front she was holding together with her hands.

“Stop staring,” she rolled her eyes at him. “You heard Ethan, don’t get too involved with the groupies,” she huffed, but Orion heard the laughter in her voice.

Lizzie shook her head in disbelief. “I can’t believe you shoved me into a cupboard, seriously. I need a moment to cope.”

Orion took her hand and pulled her towards him; she just looked irresistible in his shirt and not much else. “How about I apologise properly?”

With a laugh, Lizzie broke free of him. “Greedy today, aren’t we?”

Ignoring his question, she flashed him a crooked smile as she walked past him into the direction of the bathroom, her hips swaying a lot more than they needed to. She paused at the door and looked over her shoulder. “That shower is awfully large for one person alone, don’t you think?”

She shrugged out of his shirt and casually let it drop to the floor; she didn’t even bother closing the bathroom door behind her.

Orion stared after her for a moment before running his fingers through his hair, smiling to himself.

One day, that woman would be the death of him.

Their little shower detour had taken longer than expected and all the others were already assembled and waiting for them in the breakfast room. Lizzie hated having to make them wait even longer after Orion had joined them before her. She didn’t exactly have regrets with how her morning had gone so far, but she knew neither of their friends would be particularly amused that she was so late.

She put on her best apologetic smile as she stepped into the room. As expected, she was greeted by a very pissed looking Ethan, who wanted to know where the hell she’d been.

“Out running,” she mumbled, “got lost on the way, sorry.”

Rolling his eyes, Ethan continued elaborating their program for the day. They would be leaving Birmingham as soon as everything was packed up and would move on to their next location. They were set for Liverpool next, before moving on to Manchester.

Lizzie had been looking forward to returning to Manchester ever since their U.K. tour had begun; it was always nice coming back to the place where everything had started.

She was only listening to Ethan’s roundup of the last few days with half an ear. Although she felt a lot more awake than before, her head had started pounding again and she didn’t even have her first cup of coffee yet. She eyed the cup in KC’s hand wistfully, the smirk of her red-headed friend as she brought it to her lips not lost on her.

As soon as Ethan was done, Lizzie got up and made a beeline for the gleaming coffee machine on the buffet table in the middle of the room. She was just waiting for her latte to run through, when Andre joined her.

He wasn’t saying anything at first as he helped himself to a chai latte, but the disapproval seeping from him as he looked her up and down was palpable.

“You could wear anything and look fabulous in it, sweetheart,” he muttered under his breath, “but do you always have to nick his shirts? They’re so plain.” Coming out of his mouth, it sounded like an insult.

Lizzie almost choked on her coffee at his words. She was still wearing the casual button-up shirt she had found in Orion’s wardrobe but wore it open, the ends tied together at her waist to make it look a little more inconspicuous; she hadn’t had the time to get to her own room and get changed.

Pretending she had burnt her mouth, Lizzie grimaced and blew against her cup. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

Andre looked at her dismissively. “Don’t you, now? Let me tell you, darling, I would know any piece of your wardrobe under a thousand. I tend to pick them out for you, remember?”

He turned to her and put a reassuring hand on her shoulder, but his face was serious. “Don’t get all spooked, I don’t care what you guys are doing. You know me, I’m for love all around, whatever kind, it’s a beautiful thing,” he made a fluttery movement with his hands in the way that was so typically Andre, “but we all know how it is in this band.”

The smile that had appeared on his face vanished again and he looked at Lizzie intensely. “Just take it as a piece of advice from an old friend. Be a little more careful. So far, you’ve been lucky, but we wouldn’t want the wrong people to find you out.”
