I honestly think the scenes of greatest intimacy in Austen are those moments of unspoken solidarity between people when they have to deal with a difficult person: Emma and Mr. Knightley handling the crisis of snow at Christmas, Darcy and Elizabeth curtailing Caroline Bingley's bitchiness to protect Georgiana in the music room, Wentworth seeing the child clinging to Anne's neck and wordlessly removing him, Edmund and Fanny dancing silently together at the end of a long ball, just enjoying being introverts together away from the Crawfords, Col. Brandon fetching Mrs. Dashwood because she would be of comfort to Marianne and Elinor...

🎉Happy 4/13🎉
With production of the CSAU comic dub in full swing, Eldritchdraaks was excited to do something related to it for 4/13. But, outside of leaking a whole episode, posting clips didn't feel that exciting. So, we took everything that's gone into the dub and produced a mini version to celebrate!
We picked 5 tiktoks and remade them with the same art style, animation, and voice acting as the comic dub, just to give everyone a bite sized look at what to expect. This video may not be specific to CSAU, it's just homestuck memes, but you're bound to enjoy it!

"i happened to not find this character very interesting or likeable" doesn't automatically mean they're an objectively bland and boring character it just means you have a personal opinion

It sucks that Jane and Kanaya got shoved into the mommy friend roles cause they’ve got such potent exasperated older sister and bug eyed younger sister energy respectively

Thinking about this poll posted yesterday and Mr. Bennet would be a fairly good Regency husband, as long as you are nothing like Mrs. Bennet. Caveat: nothing I am going to say justifies how he treats Mrs. Bennet, we are just examining his husband materialness if he married someone else.
Mr. Bennet is lazy and he deliberately antagonizes his wife, but he doesn't like her at all. If his wife had two brain cells to rub together, he wouldn't act that way. Also, he canonically doesn't cheat (no antibiotics so that's a big plus), he lets his wife manage the household money freely (a mistake with Mrs. Bennet but good for you), and he doesn't have life ruining vices (gambling/drinking). He has a large income and a nice house as part of the bargain.
With an intelligent wife, he might actually be happy and could be quite agreeable. Being treated similarly to how he treats Lizzy wouldn't be bad at all. Now, his behaviour towards his children isn't the best either, but a wife he respected could probably curb that and if his children were properly educated he wouldn't have much to mock.
Is he a great prospect? No. Because if the going gets tough I wouldn't want to have to rely on him. But you cannot judge his husband abilities by his current state as a man who has been disappointed for 23ish years. He could have had a much better marriage and been a better husband if he hadn't selected his wife with his "secondary brain."

Hallmark’s ‘The Wedding Veil Journey’ Stars Muse Who Inspired Several Beatles Songs
January 21, 2023
Hallmark Channel, News
Hallmark’s The Wedding Veil Journey stars Alison Sweeney, Victor Webster, Lacey Chabert, Autumn Reeser, and Jane Asher, the woman that inspired such Beatles’ classics as “I Want To Hold Your Hand,” “I’m Looking Through You,” “And I Love Her.”
Who is Actress Jane Asher From Hallmark’s The Wedding Veil Journey?
London-born actress Jane Asher started acting at the age of six. However, according to the Telegraph, Jane Asher’s life changed in 1963 when she interviewed Paul McCartney of the Beatles. They went on to date for five years. Moreover, they even got engaged. Jane inspired many of McCartney’s iconic songs that include “We Can Work It Out,” and “Martha My Dear.”
However, despite being a muse to one of the most famous songwriters in the world, she was determined to continue her acting career. Most of all, she does not like to talk about McCartney or this time of her life.
In addition, Jane’s brother Peter Asher recorded McCartney-Lennon reject songs in the duo, Peter And Gordon. Peter eventually became a manager and producer who helped along James Taylor and Linda Ronstadt’s careers. He was very sought out in the 70s.
Jane Asher Is An Entrepreneur And Writer
The Hallmark star is more than an actress. Jane Asher has written over a dozen books. This includes three novels called, The Longing, The Question, and Losing It. However, most of her books are non-fiction. They focus on baking and lifestyle.
She is a British Martha Stewart. In her books, Jane shows people how to paint furniture and cake decorating. She even has a book on how to create costumes for children. Most of all, her years of working in showbiz gave her some good tips on creating good costumes.
In addition, the mother of three also is an entrepreneur, owning a cake shop when her children were young.
However, acting has been her primary career.
Jane Asher’s Successful Love Life
Although being a muse was not meant to be, Jane Asher’s love life is something out of a Hallmark movie. Three years after she publicly broke it off with McCartney, she met cartoonist Gerald Scarfe. He is best known for his work in The New Yorker, The Times, and Pink Floyd’s The Wall.
Moreover, they have now been married for over 40 years, and together for over 50.
What Is Hallmark’s The Wedding Veil Journey About?
The final Hallmark movie in the popular sequel trilogy is The Wedding Veil Journey. What is it about?
According to the Hallmark synopsis, “Tracy and Nick agree to set aside work to make time for a long overdue honeymoon to Greece. When they are stranded on a secluded island, they confront their life choices.”
We don’t know much about Jane Asher’s character, Lady Dalton. However, it looks like she could watch the magic of the veil work on someone close to her.
Best of all, they filmed this movie in Greece! They filmed this movie on the Greek island of Rhodes. Sir Ron Oliver directed this movie. Moreover, this is a historic movie for Hallmark. This is the first time that a movie has been filmed at the Acropolis of Lindos.

How often do you think Jesse thinks ab how he killed an innocent man in cold blood to save the life of the man who, unbeknownst to him, watched his girlfriend choke to death on her own vomit and then left her corpse for him to find laying next to him in the morning? Do y’all think he ever fully came to grips with that bc I sure as shit don’t… What the FUCK Walter

HI. i just wanna appreciate emily rohm’s acting as jane doe for a minute and do a little character assessment. not only does she have an absolutely stunning voice, her acting and detail work is incredible, and i can tell just from one time watching the show all the way through.
there is an acting technique where you sort of assign your character body language based on what they lead with. there are head characters, heart characters, and hip characters.
heart characters are feelings-based and tend to lead with their chest when they are moving. hip characters tend to be very confident and dare i say have a certain “swagger” to them. but i wanna talk about head characters.
something i’ve noticed about jane is that she is very much a head character. she leads with her nose a lot (for example when she looks somewhere she turns her entire head to look rather than just looking with her eyes, and she leans her head slightly forward whenever she walks and her weight is shifted forward.) head characters are considered to be thinkers, leading with their brain rather than their feelings.
emily rohm’s choice to make jane a head character is so genius. jane has a disconnect from her soul, and therefore from her feelings. she does not know who she is, so she cannot feel with the same perspective that all of the other characters do. she does not speak of her hopes and dreams (which is something that heart characters tend to be known for doing), she just desperately wants to know who she is. she leads with her head, because, what else does she have to lead with? her identity has been stripped away, so her only perspective is what is in front of her, and what she can remember. she seems to constantly be assessing everything.
also it’s ironic that she’s a head character considering that she doesn’t have a head.
