on episode 4 and realising the whole genius of good behavior’s title being about the fact that... it’s about two criminals, and the repeated inciting events of a lot of this show’s drama comes from when letty and javier actually try to exhibit some good behavior. and it works so well, because the show doesn’t flinch from them being absolutely fucked up people who are consistently go well past the boundaries of the tv show crook who only does it for... whatever reason. javier is terrifyingly competent at being a hitman (and hysterically dry... juan diego botto’s performance great). letty is a small time crook who refuses to kill, but exhibits little remorse at her constant hustling. and then the things that kick the show’s plot arcs off are letty and javier’s attempts at.... being decent people. the pilot happens because letty doesn’t want to let a woman die. the next arc happens because javier doesn’t want to let Letty overdose and kill herself. the second episode ends in a double rather than single woman because letty wanted to help a woman escape from a dysfunctional marriage. it’s a constant see-saw of well-designed drama and good and bad and far more complex intentions see sawing between letty and javier.
