i’m gonna regret asking this but. how many times has stanley died?

I mean he's been in the game for about 5 years so, a lot.

But his initial plan was to make sure Narrator can't reset the game, so he hid under the office where he couldn't be reset unless he himself had wanted to, and just worked on his plan for a long time. That's why he fake-apologizes to Narry for "disappearing for so long".

So the game after the last reset, (the current one) is the longest they've gone without resetting. I'd say about a year long?

So around 4 years of dying before he decides to end it all. You do the math
