having thoughts about what makes an interesting idol rhythm game

#i can expand upon it but i think its mostly like. what's the gimmick it's using and how is it executing it #like enstars you have the 3d mvs that you can put whoever you want in and have different outfits to put them in #d4dj you have the dj booth layout that you play with and it utilizes it very well #hypmic is a rap based game entirely and also utilizes record scratching imagery in its gameplay #and then proseka and bandori. proseka's gimmick is very obviously like vocaloids #but in the game play its trying to be too many things and failing at all of them #they have some 3d mvs but the layout of the beat maps makes them like #not really. something i notice when i played it. bc the way they have the map layout set up it kinda grays out the video #which means you might as well not have it on. for enstars the lanes are entirely transparent #so you can see the mv clearly as you play if you have 3d mv on u know #and then like. idk the proseka gameplay just feels brutal.#mostly because it times when you lift off the hold notes and literally no other game does this #even games that use goods as combo breakers like hypmic dont fucking do that #also i do appreciate the flick notes in hypmic being just. flick whereever feels natural #helps a lot while playing to just flick whichever way you want #but anyway yeah i think proseka is relying too much on the vocaloid schtick and people just ignore the atrocious game play #like d4dj does straight lane better. hypmic and enstars are both ring lanes that do their gimmicks well #i do not like proseka can u tell #i didnt play enough bandori to really tell u whats going on there but i did not like the layout for their game #and its made by the same people who make proseka so like. no hope for me getting into it #anyway #shay speaks

this is so funny to me actually bcuz this is 100% how i talk abt my characters ages. i know what YEAR they were born and i know what rheir ages are supposed to be at the start of the story but i dont actually know when it takes place?? im really bad at math. There was a moment where rainbow was supposed to be 23 and i somehow accidentally made her 17 lmfao

#theoretically it would take place in 2021 bcuz thats when i created my object ocs but the more time passes #the weirder it feels to have it take place years in the past #i considered moving up their birthdays by a few years but like. idk i like their birthdays theyre cute :3 #bubblegum is SUPPOSED TO BE 15 and she was born july 2007 #watermelon is supposed to be 7 and he was born june 2014 #etc etc #starr is 27 and she was born september uhhh 1995 or 1997 i actually dont remember. whichever one makes sense #also that would mean building block was born in 2020 and since she's always gonna be a baby the furhter away we get #it means that she wouldnt have even been born when the story is actually supposed to take place. Like #i know their birthdays and their ages and what year they were born everybody else has to do the math #to figure out wtf is going on because I DONT KNOW #also that means that building block would be a pandemic baby lmao 😭#what was rhe vibe in nigeria in august 2020 during the pandemic. well i say that like it even happened in their universe #which there really isnt any reason for that to be true #it isnt historically important to mention like..... world war two or slavery or whatever. fucking obviously. in the context of objects #it gets messy so its better to just Not #also the months the characters were born really fuck me up bcuz jayden was born in late december #so for most of the first year that they met he would be.... younger than he actually is being born in 2003 #but since building's block birthday and exact age is the most important timeline-wise #and she was born august 14th 2020 and she's seven months old when they first meet #then it canonically would take place in march 2021 which was my original intention #bcuz that is the actual date that i first created my object ocs #ANYWAY. boring character age ramblings #but its hard to keep track of so i dont even blame the author!!!! birthdays are weird and hard to keep up w/#when you dont know exactly when your story is supposed to take place #assuming its in a normal-ish world im sure fantasy ocs dont have this problem #txt #object ocs

god its easy to write dirk off as a bad guy esp with hs2 happening + his insistence that he’s evil and manipulative but man. he cares SO fucking much about all his friends and he tries so hard to understand them. this is just such a strikingly KIND thing to say.

thank uuu u honestly i generally get decent luck on that i think the recent uptick in it lately is maybe due to another hair removal session some time ago that made my remaining facial hair a bit more visible for a while & that'll have played in it bc really people kinda just make a quick subconscious judgement on that based on a random sum of things they notice

lol, new fear unlocked: disappointing my therapist when i have bad days -_-

#this has been an original post #personal spewage #clouds gets therapy #like idk. i told her this week was gonna be tough for me bc of my period #but i also said last week was better than expected and she was so happy for me #and we were both so hopeful that this week would be better too #and then it. wasnt #well it wasnt all bad #but yesterday and today have sure sucked lol #im just so. mad #like. this is so unfair #i have a concert tonight that ive been looking forward to _literally all year_#technically since last year #but i have cramps and i couldnt sleep and its pouring out and i dont have rainboots and i just. cant #or dont want to. whichever #and i know its okay. i know ill get another chance to see him live (tonight wouldve been my 4th time seeing him anyway lol)#but i still just. want to go #i wish i wasnt in pain and exhausted and depressed and just. like this #i wish i wasnt like this #edit: was just reminded that this is actually the SECOND time i had tickets to see him live this year but couldnt go #fucking sucks man #at least i did get to see him live on my birthday #that was. the best

I finished my fingerless gloves! I wrote my own pattern so that I could make them fit my hands and use up the remnants of a very nice yarn left from crocheting a gift hat like seven years ago, so they are an alpaca/merino blend

My brother took the last two photos, because crocheting gloves that custom fit my hands makes it difficult for me to take a picture of them both at once while I’m wearing them and impossible for them to fit anyone else in my house lol

#crochet #handmade #fingerless gloves #was writing my own pattern entirely necessary? probably not #but they fit so well!#and I managed to make the color repeats mostly line up #which was a happy accident lol #I have fairly small hands and tiny wrists but my palm is almost square shaped?#like. as wide as it is tall. long? tall? whichever applies to the distance between base of fingers and wrist #and finding gloves that fit is a challenge #my middle finger is the exact same length as my palm #wait no I only have two data points (me and my brother) idk which one of us has the atypical hand proportions #but he does have better luck finding gloves that fit than I do
