do u think when lilith went through the portal a second time, she finally understood/remembered what happened after she got taken by the tarask in s1??? n why she comes back validly shaken n desperate for ANYONE to understand?

do u think she understood that adriel n reya know each other n he was her best bet at understanding her monster nature? i think thats why she went to him, scared out of her mind but hiding it well, n just going with whatever he was doing cuz she knew, as much as her sisters love her n care for her, they got no fucking clue whats going on. its not their fault, but she did leave toledo n her mother’s house knowing she needed to find answers fast, knowing she could never be the warrior nun and what that entails, knowing she shouldve made peace with that a long time ago but fuck that was her WHOLE LIFE thrown away by a complete newbie who made her like this!!! the very monster she was supposed to hunt!!!

my bby knew jack shit of what she was doing either, she just traded a bad situation for another bad situation that she could at least understand. i think thats why she trusts adriel so blindly, he SOUNDS like the answers she needed, she feels understood. but its also why at that ava n lilith scene where ava ends up hurting lilith on her face at the end, lilith is so fucking emotional n angry n scared when ava tells her to go back.

how can she go back when she fucked up like this? how can she go back n act like shes truly at their side when they cant n will never understand hers? how can she go back to a place where it felt like home, like her destiny, when she failed them so horribly? she can never go back. she doesnt believe she can or should. shes heartbroken, n she cares so deeply abt ava n her sisters but those hours spent on the other side showed her some truth she cant ignore. n now she has to live with it.

she wants to do what the warrior nun would do, save the world of evil, help her sisters. well, sometimes that job has difficult decisions. sometimes ppl die. im thinking abt the first ep when lilith tells mary that she knows what needs to happen. n shes right!! if they want to get rid of evil n save ppl, they need to be objective n follow the protocols. i think her siding with adriel n then her, at the end after he dies, when she warns beatrice of the war, helps ava to a place where she knows she can heal n survive, n literally does not give a single fuck abt adriel afterwards, just needed to warn her sister n go away, maybe to prepare herself for this war, was lilith’s way of doing what a warrior nun would do.

she thought adriel could actually give her the tools n maybe even help her save the world. but then he died n she understood that maybe she needs to do this shit by herself. so she flies off, no fucks given. her business here is done, n now there’s war preparations to be done. i dont think she was ever in love with adriel, they were using each other for their own goals.

would i have preferred if lilith found her new monster identity by herself n with the help of her sisters?? yes. do i like that she trusted a crusty white men to do it?? no. but i cant stand when ppl say that lilith loves adriel or smth. bby she didnt blink when the guy died. she was like “oh well, time to help beatrice save ava” like??? that scene shocked me n gave me hope that maybe lilith matured in a way that made her harder to manipulate. doubtful, but im hopeful.

that girl is still very much driven by ambition but also by praise. those are her weaknesses for sure.

also im pretty sure shes gonna get killed off next season cuz im used to shows like these to disappoint me so. yh.

i like to hc that saikis shapeshifting is limited in that he can't actually choose what he looks like... he just picks a category and becomes what he would look like as that thing..

AND OKAY i know that this. just straight up is not true. there are things in the manga that can disprove this i think.

BUT the manga is also super inconsistent about his powers, and this hc is the best way that i can try and make sense of some of the inconsistencies i care most about...

LIKE his shapeshifting is supposed to take two whole hours. but in the halloween chapter, he randomly shapeshifts into a monster to scare kaido... this both disproves my hc (kinda?) and also proves that it could be true at the same time because it makes an inconsistency with whats supposed to be canon.. so yea, if canon can be slightly inconsistent, i can too! (im not sure what other explanation this could have.. it cant be hypnotization cuz he cant use that on himself..)

and i know that not everything needs to make sense.. this hc still doesnt make it ALL make sense.. and thats fine!! im just gonna see it that way because it helps me picture it better..

but anyway, yeah, the biggest problem i had with the shapeshifting that this hc changes for me is kuriko/kusuko... he complains that people find her attractive.. how does that make sense if he can choose how he looks ?? he knows what average people look like, he could just make her look like girl satou ? plus, he becomes the SAME 'kuriko' every time.. like its literally his girl sona, even though yk damn well she probably has a reputation as the girl who was into dilfs and prob has daddy issues, and was also apparently seen with teruhashi.. (and yea yea whatever this was just for manga purposes, idc)

i also question why he doesnt make HIMSELF look more average, other than hypnotizing the world into thinking pink hair is average, but that can be explained easily by certain things like how it might take effort to remain shapeshifted for long periods of time or its just more physically and emotionally comfortable to be his 'natural' form..

i just dislike a lot of fanon bingqiu i think? i read all the books before hopping on twitter and i see some absolute rancid takes on there like the woobification of Shaun(tm) qinghua and jiumei.. which is easy enough to avoid tbf so whatever floats their boat idc. but when i follow bingqiu accs, it feels like OC x OC rather than ~bingqiu~ if that makes sense? like i LOVE the manipulative crybaby domtop x flustered thin face subby pillow princess they have going on!! and fanon bingqiu is just.. not it? and obv id never send hate or anything (i just block and keep it moving) but it makes it kinda sucky when the fandom is already teeny tiny and a large chunk of the fandom isnt what i envisioned/expected i guess which is so odd! when they essentially erase canon!! if it’s like some queerbaity ship or whatever, people can characterise them however they want but its like CANON how they act/are in bed/etc and its all taken away!!! idk im probably just whining sorry 😭

hey, thanks for stopping by!! I definitely know what you mean with regards to SQQ, but I will assure you that there are very much still plenty of dedicated "sqq mains" out there. My sphere of influence on twitter is heavily biased toward people for whom sqq is their favourite character, so maybe I'm not getting a representative sample of the fandom overall, but he's definitely a very well loved character and has more than his fair share of people who do him justice in their writing and for whom he's their primary blorbo!! I remember posting this on reddit a while back and more than half of the responses (though admittedly a small sample size) had him as their fave. So, I don't think he's without appreciation!

But with that said, I do get where you’re coming from. I’m not gonna talk about readers who take his actions in bad faith and actively dislike him (HOW??), but as you’ve said, even among people who do like him, we don’t always understand him as well as we could. Most fans do get on some level that he’s an unreliable narrator, but it’s still very common for people to take him at face value and completely miss his depth. He’s a funny little guy with amusing narration, but he’s also kind and selfless, and he’s also smart and witty, and obnoxious and annoying, and frankly pretty insensitive, and deeply, deeply traumatised—and a million other things! He has layers.

I think all popular characters in fandom will inevitably start getting boiled down to a few key traits. And as somebody who’s been writing fic for 15 years, it’s really hard not to let your own biases colour your portrayal? I absolutely do it with SQQ!! I focus on his kinder, warmer aspects and downplay his flaws, I’ll readily admit that. We all get drawn to a favourite character for a certain trait, and that trait becomes the grit around which our interpretations form. If you’re somebody that likes silly characters, you’re going to write SQQ and dial his silliness up to eleven. If you like kind characters, you’ll write SQQ with emphasis on his kindness. None of these traits are OOC in and of themselves, but if you start to only read fanfic and don’t revisit the source material, you can get lost in what’s popular and forget all the depth that actually made them interesting in the first place. And once you’ve grown attached to a particular version of the characters in your head, it can be really hard to let go of it. I don’t really know where I’m going with this, but I'll add that I think protagonists are just particularly prone to this happening because they're usually the one the audience relates to most.

Idk if any of that really addresses the stuff you were talking about. You mentioned dom top Binghe/pillow princess sqq and to be honest I’m kind of reluctant to talk about this in depth because I’ve received negative comments in the past for supposedly being anti-bottom Binghe, when all I’ve ever said on this matter is that I think it’s a bit weird to insist that “I’m scared of hurting you so I might as well let you do it” is proof that Binghe is canonically a bottom. The fact that someone found that statement so threatening to their view of the characters that they would go to my ao3 page, click on the first fic they saw that happened to feature bottom SQQ and leave their holier-than-thou anonymous opinion there is just bizarre to me.

To be honest tho, it tends to be Binghe characterisation that puts me off moreso than Shen Qingqiu. The only SQQ characterisation that truly bothers me is when people write him as willing to hurt Binghe, or willing to do anything with underage Binghe, but there is a LOT of Binghe stuff that I’m sensitive too. Idk if you read this thread of mine but like, even my friends whom I love make “Binghe stalking/imprisoning/"atticwifing" SQQ” jokes and these bother me way more than any random stranger saying SQQ would get off on spanking Binghe.

And like, it’s kind of hard because objectively, Binghe is a very dark character, so it doesn't feel particularly OOC to say he would do those things, but it's about framing. It bothers me when the emphasis is on how fucked up he is and not how hard he's trying, because it implies a level of futility that I just don’t think is there in canon. To me the beauty of him is in how much doing right by SQQ doesn't come naturally to him, but he ultimately decides to do it anyway because he wants SQQ to be happy. (I feel it needs to be said that I don't mean this in a judgy "if you write dark Binghe you don't understand him and are a bad person" way. Just that I myself can't handle that, and I strongly disagree if you think it's where Bingqiu's relationship is headed).

but idk, I've found my corner and I'm very happy here. I actually don't read fic as often as you'd think, mostly because I am sooooo picky, so I totally get where you're coming from :) but the fandom is still decently sized and very diverse, so there are always going to be at least a few people who share your feelings, if you can find them!

okay i cannot for the life of me remember the names of the pafl people (i am. bad at names. as evidenced by me not having one) so gimmie the pafl ship you've got Brainworms about right now. not in the sense of love or hate, but the one that just has a specific rant locked n loaded for and which leaves you awake at night.

temnova/olya would be way too obvious for this SO instead im gonna ramble abt sergei/olya my favorite ever (so-called) m/f ship<3<3

forgive me in advance for fumbling my analysis bc words do not come to me well n settling with the second-best word choice always ends up skewing the meaning.. i am also not good at organizing my thoughts at all lol :p

sergolya (made up the ship name myself bc idk if theres a widley used one oops) is a canon ship and thats why its GOOOD. bc pafl is like. REALISTIC and not in the annoying nihilistic grimdark way but just in the way that the characters feel so natural with how they interact with each other and the world and how they react to situations and how situations effect them... its just. real as fuck. absolutely insane skill on ferry's part. but this is REALLY GOOD for every pafl relationship, romantic or not, because they're complex.

sergei and olya have a flawed relationship! theres a lack of communication, sergei being sergei, olya being olya, etc. but its still so so obvious that they love each other DEEPLY! maybe olya's blinded by her insecurities and maybe sergei doesnt externalize it in an obvious way, but when you look even an inch deep into their motivations throughout the entire story, especially when they make poor decisions, its just intertwined with their love for each other.

now where sergolya REALLY gets developed is in The Mill, which specifically touches on olya's insecurities and sergei's overbearing-ness. yes this is why its my favorite pafl song :3

olya appears stoic and logical, she never looks affected by anything, she is taking a fucking prison sentence with stride. but shes still a very emotional person at heart, shown by her affection towards anya, some random kid that keeps following her home, and her getting so attatched to a mutant that she puts herself at risk to keep him safe. all very illogical, emotion driven actions that you wouldnt expect from her based on her external disposition. olya is not as untouchable as she lets off, and she is especially deeply affected by nikita's view of her. (even before kolya's death he was an asshole. fucking misogynist) she cant help but take nikita's harsh words to heart, and that effects her and sergei's relationship. she's terribly afraid of opening up to him in fear that he will leave her the same as nikita left nadya, and has trouble internalizing and accepting the love he expresses to her. she desperately wants to ask for some reassurance, some promise that he wouldnt one day just decide that shes too much of a burden, that shes not worth it anymore, and abandon her. she DESPERATELY wants him to love her, but she just cant accept that he already does love her for herself.

"ill draw a circle in the sand / drive myself around the bend / in a desperate attempt to hold onto your battered hand"

now this is where the dramatic irony comes in. because seeing his internal monologue in the mill, the same song where olya was lamenting about all that, it is very very obvious that he cares so deeply for olya. now sergei has his issue with being overbearing and overprotective when it comes to those he loves, sheltering sanya to the point where she acts out and befriends yura. its his primary flaw, but god if it isnt the most prominent indicator of sergei's attachment to a person. once you know that about him and how he expresses those types of emotions, he practically wears his heart on his sleeve. he wants what he thinks is best for her and sanya and he really DOES care so so much about them both but he doesnt stop to think and its so. oh my god i just love them both so much u dont understand.

"now my only hope is that one day youll understand / ill wrap the chain round my heart and her hammering neck / and save whats left / though i know that someday this weight will come to break my back"

just the way that sergei and olya have such similar problems that manifest in different ways to affect their relationship. olya masks her emotions bc of experiences with misogyny and shes trying to be a Strong Woman and.. sergei masks his bc the environment he grew up in (& his own experiences and traumas) fostering toxic masculinity(???) and poor coping mechanisms. and so its this ouroboros of poor comminication because sergei doesnt know how to show olya he loves her and he doesnt even know thst she needs that because she wont TELL him and then SHE goes on to think that sergeis percieved indifference is his lack of affection and CONTINUES not telling him out of fear of rejection. i. UGH. these two are destroying my mind

okok i listened to so much music this year BUT let me say that this year motionless in white released their album scoring the end of the world this year and yes the entire album is amazing and i love every single song on the album BUTTTTT i will say that cyberhex has definitely gotten up there as my favorite on the album. it's such a cool conglomerate of what motionless in white used to sound like and the sound that they're trying out now with the album, the entirety of the song including its music video were made with friends of the guys who are in motionless in white (one of their guitarists, ricky olson, was a lead director of the mv!), and the entire song is a love song to the fans. from the title of the album u can probably guess that a lot of it is about the struggles of the world right now (i mean........ "scoring the end of the world", yknow) and how it feels to live in a world like that, but cyberhex is like...... about being connected. it's about how everyone used the internet and other means to continue to be connected through these hard times the last few years, and how (to quote the song itself) love will find a way, and how through the fans and through the love that the fans have had for this band for years, motionless in white have continued to find a way <3

okay you've got me popping some popcorn and settling down bc I LIKE THE WAY YOU THINK AND YES GIVE ME ALL THAT PRE-DARK MOON STUFF. PLEASE. IM A SUCKER FOR GOOD HEADCANONS AND THEN CANON COMES ALONG TO RUIN SHIT. pre-dark moon my general thoughts/timeline was that the boys were born vampires, and uncommonly strong ones, so they were taken to the "orphanage" to observe their powers and raise them in a contained environment away from the world. eventually they break out (not necessarily bc orphanage evil but bc smth tells me these kids did Not want to sit down and be obedient). i also had a sense that the orphanage was a distant victorian past and the boys at decelis is the present decades later, trying to move through life away from that traumatic past. once dark moon/tamed-dashed jpn dropped i adopted more of that evil orphanage mindset. and thats when i started thinking about sooha. what if sooha was born superpowered like the boys, but because she's not an actual vamp she evaded the kidnapping by the orphanage and thats why she doesn't have that story. think about it— they could have this deep connection because they all originated together somehow, but the orphanage taking the boys separated them. and thats why the low-grade vampires are searching for sooha. because the organization realized they missed one.

hehehe YES sit down with your popcorn because boy have i got some CONTENT for YOU. idk if youd be interested in reading the old enhaverse shit i have posted or not (forewarning if you are i actually havent gone back and read it in a while so it may be. bad-- like i remember it being decent but that was like last year so my standards could have changed LMAO) but if you ARE i could link those. and also maaaan the SHIT we put sunoo's character through omg those were some wild times

firstly though id like to adress your pre-dark moon headcanons because. that actually makes a lot of sense HFBFJFBJF and it fits with the addition of sooha too! OOH WAIT OR I JUST HAD AN IDEA. in the scenario where the boys were turned into vampires (not necessarily born as them; idk how that would work so im not gonna try and figure out the logistics just yet), then experimented on to be made into the better, more functional and long-lasting superpowered vampires, maybe the superpower part was like... an afterthought of sorts, just added on to make them even BIGGER powerhouses of destruction/idk whatever. but then whoever made them (im just gonna call them the organization for now like you) may have been like "wait, could this superpower gene... work on normal humans?". so then they either take a bunch of pregnant moms OR a bunch of newborn babies and run all the experiments and shit and well,, most of them die (because a: i like angst and b: it would explain why sooha's the only superpowered human in the story/why the organization wants her so bad) except one: sooha. but sooha's mom obviously doesn't WANT her daughter to live her life as a lab rat, so she figures out a way to get her daughter and herself out, escaping and probably pulling some wild identity-alteration shit so she and her daughter can live safely without the threat of being constantly hunted hanging over their heads.

WAITWAITWAIT OR. omg okay im sorry my brain is doing one of those things where i try to figure out the plot holes of a story or concept literally as im explaining it to someone hsjbffj give me a second-- if we're going with the timeline where the "orphanage" was like a long time ago and everything. maybe sooha's MOM was one of the babies that got experimented on, and she was the only one that didnt die, but she never showed any signs of superpowers or anything so the organization figured she was a dud... but it turns out, years and years later when she has her OWN kid (sooha), whatever weird superpowered genes the organization injected her with manifest in her daughter instead, and the organization is AFTER sooha because they somehow caught wind of this miraculous superpowered child who wasn't a vampire and went "oh shit so it DID work" and now theyre after her. idk how sooha and the boys having their whole weird ✨connection✨ would work in this situation, maybe they can just feel that she has the same weird superpowered genes as them and they feel drawn to her because of it? idk

really i dont know how that entire storyline would go—i just went off on a whole other train of thought there lmao (that was not intended, sorry). now though i wanna start telling you about my friends and i's pre-dark moon ideas because it ties into the idea of how the vampires originated and also cuz. well i want to. HDJFBFJFB (im gonna group this into sections actually via titles because i have a feeling this is gonna get insanely long again)

pre-dark moon: selene and the orphanage

okay SO: the train of thought that we had initially sort of started because of the mysterious princessy/queen-y figure that appeared in the drunk-dazed mv (who i now realize was most likely meant to be sooha, but SHHH we're in pre-dark moon headcanon territory now lets ignore that). we conceptualized her as this sort of... motherly or goddess-like "vampire queen" figure. in the story we constructed, she was the one that MADE the boys, although because we were all sluts for angst and trauma it turned... very quickly dark. she was very definitely NOT a good guy lmao.

the idea with the orphanage was that the vampire queen (who i called selene, based off of the greek or roman goddess of the moon and mother of vampires-- i think, i might have my myths mixed up there) was the one that started it all. she orchestrated the orphanage, hired all the staff, ran the entire "project" so to speak: she wanted to create more vampires like her. maybe she was lonely at first, but got driven mad by the loneliness and the vampirism combined; maybe she wanted to build an army. i don't know, we never got her motives fully straightened out. the pills that the boys all took in given-taken were pills containing her blood: that was how they were turned (in our story vampires didnt get turned via biting, they got turned by consuming the blood of another vampire; i think i read about that somewhere). it was a very slow process, so the boys (who had all been brought to the orphanage as kids and grew up there together) weren't aware of what was happening until it was too late. now, we stuck with the whole "orphanage bad and abusive, enha escape" storyline from the very start, so that happened; they ran away and set out in the world on their own, constantly on the run from the orphanage and selene.

now onto the more... character-specific parts (from here on out im gonna refer to the enha boys with a c! before their names to distinguish them from the real people because the dark moon names. uh. dont exactly work with the kind of story we created lol). unbeknownst to the rest of the boys, while they were all still in the orphanage, from the time when they were little kids up until their escape, c!sunoo felt sort of estranged and overlooked—like the others didnt care about him as much, or like he was irrelevant (this wasnt true, they cared for him a lot, but you get the idea). he started building up a habit of running away from the orphanage and into the forest surrounding it, where he would meet up with selene—who at the time he didnt know was the vampire queen. selene basically fucking groomed and manipulated him jnto believing the others didnt love him, she was the only one who would ever TRULY love him, the others would never understand, etc etc. she was a massive bitch lmao that's basically it

now this idea did come in part from my love of traumatizing characters, but it ALSO came from the entire enhaverse circle on tumblr thinking sunoo in the mvs was like. evil. but artzyy and i didnt like the idea of his character being just straight-up evil and not caring about the other boys so we were like "but what if he was manipulated" and then it just sort of spiraled from there. after the boys escape the orphanage, they come across this castle where selene lives. none of the boys know all the shit she's pulled with c!sunoo—they just think she's this benevolent motherly figure, if a slightly suspicious one. after a while of staying in the castle they figure out she's no good and escape, again, but by then c!sunoo has already been roped into betraying them by selene and he works as a sort of double agent for the rest of the story, sowing their demise at selene's behest. there are... a LOT of feelings had about this, just generally, by everyone. as you'd probably expect.

another thing to know about me and my mutuals' version of the enhypen that lore is that we were all apparently gay and longing when we were coming up with all of this so we sort of projected and. made the characters into this one giant gay poly qpr situation. i really dont know what happened HHDJFHFJNFN the fever mv came out and we started making jokes about it being gay (because WE all were; still are, that hasn't changed) and the jokes became less and less like jokes the more we posted about them, which tended to happen a lot with us for some reason. so. yeah.

and THEN of course the official dark moon teasers got dropped and hybe went "haha hey theyre brothers actually" and all of us at dear old engeneblr went "haha wow okay thats great!!!" while simultaneously shoving all our gayass character ideas under the metaphorical rug. and like yeah it ended up being revealed that the guys arent BLOOD brothers, they were just raised in the orphanage together and DECIDED to be brothers, but now i see them as being far too familial for that to ever not be weird.

(i even had a thing going for a while where i was compiling all the stuff about enhaverse to make into its own story, with different names for the characters to separate them both from the dark moon boys AND from the real-life enhypen; i ended up losing interest and its remained a hardly-touched note in my phone ever since, but the character names are still on there and i think theyre pretty snazzy if i may be allowed to toot my own horn about it)

-because that did indeed get just as insane and long-winded as i was expecting lmao. i wanna double back for a second and kinda talk about your sooha ideas again because,, i know i went on that whole tangent about how she and they boys could be related in the whole "artificial/experimental vampire" thing i had laid out, but i really do like the idea of them somehow all being BORN superpowered like that but being seperated—if thats the case, who or what made them? how old were they when they were seperated? what the hell HAPPENED?

(i really dont know how that storyline would work but i just got a very very cute idea involving it which is just. so you know the whole concept in canon where sooha was a "princess" in a past life and the boys were her "knights"? what if those are repressed memories of them all playing make-believe as kids with sooha as the beautiful princess in the tower and the seven boys as the knights that rescued her from the fearsome dragon? what if?)

okay A N Y W A Y moving on (before i go on another tangent). jino totally burned that fucking orphanage down i dont care what anyone says, the organization probably went "hahahaha oh yeah it was an ATTACK we were ATTACKED these children TOTALLY didnt leave of their own volition they had a GREAT time here but they were FORCED to LEAVE by the ATTACK" to cover up the fact that they were harboring teens in the midst of their respective rebellious phases while also having literal superpowers without any fireproofing. like. what

"oh dont think about it too much and just enjoy the story" i cant enjoy a story with no substance. i cant ENJOY a story when theres nothing there for me to actually GET INTO. "just enjoy the story dont think about it too hard" is used for silly comedies and stuff. not THIS. i can't enjoy a story if its straight up not written well. the meaning and the trauma and the impact IS the part that i enjoy.

I feel like the first time i sent that long ass rant message i didn't really fully express why i'm so in love with your stories and your writing so i'm gonna do it here and also share some other thoughts along the way! <3

First of all, the way you write feels so smooth and in place that i actually have a feeling i'm reading the canon material its self (it is canon idc) and also how you portray Gojo? the way he's in love with the reader, him being absolutely whipped for his children, him as a whole person? it feels so in character to me that it doesn't have anything off putting like you would enouncter in most Gojo fics. I suck at giving a thourough explanation but i will do my best: firstly, rip to my youth was an absolute gem to read and the way you've written everything, everyone, the way you've portrayed and written Riko healed my soul because i love her so much, she's my precious child that deserved the world. the semingly bad mouthed gojo behaviour, the way he's been a menace in hs and also the same time how reader seems to always ground him?? "it's my fault for thinking you could do better" (was that the line? i hope i got it right oof) please the way she can always bring him back on the ground and make him feel human, it's loveee, love LOVE that makes this man human and you have done such an amazing job showing that via his interactions with Geto and reader, even Shoko subtly! Also how you talked about friends also being platonic lovers and vice versa, im so ALL for that! i love how you portrayed that through them, the cuddling, hugs, gojo simply existing in her space because she got used to it and at this point pretty much allows it, and honestly for someone as weary and distrustful as Gojo, it would honestly take alot for someone to enter his shell like that and he allows himself to be vulnerable. I like how you write him as a guy that has no game and gets zero girls lmao because its true its canon, i like to think that he's more interested and drawn towards reader's attention and its her that he really wants but she's just so goddamn oblivious!!

Absolutely loved how you written them with Megumi and Tsumiki, Megumi being mama's boy, it's canon too i love to see it, Gojo being so touchy and clingy with reader is a big yes for me. So in conclusion, i also love you for leaving cultural notes and you're actually willing to stand up to fandom discourse and racism thats plagued within it, i wish people understood or tried to take japanese culture into account when writing Gojo or any other character, it really shows the nuance and its something thats being dismissed even in english translations, it just ain't there. But you, you've done it everytime and it makes me fall in love with your work all over again, i just think it's very neat and you as a person here and the way you interact with your followers is very pleasing, at least those that are nice and considerate towards you, i simply love your energy. You're like a better version of Gege Akutami lmao 😭

With that said, i love how we agree that Gojo is a touch starved bisexual virgin loser that cries himself to sleep, i also agree with previous anons that said Gojo doesn't fuck around at all, because i myself just don't see it as Satoru way of coping let alone being the one to use humans that way, it simply contradicts everything else he is as a person and despite being an asshole and sucking most of the time, i'll say it again, it's love that makes him human. Idk how reader and Gojo started dating (family au) or rip verse but i like to think that as the previous anons said, they were it for each other, and Gojo being a cheeky lil shit that he is didn't say a word at first but was glad nonetheless, brings me back to when you talked about friends being platonic lovers and such, so i do think they'd be messing around w each other like that for a bit before anything serious actually started happening, until reader stopped being so oblivious 😭 also the way he proposed lmao i loved that its so Gojo thing to do, but yeah, Gojo dad is also superb, the way his kids treat him is hilarious but they do love him nonetheless, ahhhh im practically rambling at this point but i LOVE LOVE everything!! the day i found your blog was the day my soul was cured, so thanks for simply existing? i love writing hs gojo bc he IS lame he’s a loser with exactly one friend. he wants to tell rip!mc that he likes her outfit and ends up telling her the color clashes with her skin tone. hs gojo is immature and bratty and it’s the last time he gets to be. i rlly like writing rip!mc in the perspective of still seeing gojo like that even as adults. even when he’s smoother and little more charming and smiles more easily and makes a fool out of himself on purpose she’s still seeing the bratty tongue tied gojo he was in hs so yes they ground each other

aha im finally going to type this up properly. Here is the Dinluke au! that includes the sequel characters as kids! (its basically Din and Grogu fix everything)

So, Luke has his jedi school on Yavin IV and it’s coincidentally quite close to Mandalore. (i still don’t necessarily understand what is and isn’t outer rim territory so like...bear with me here). And we have the basic setup of Din travelling between the two planets to visit Grogu and establish Mandalore and on the way he falls for Luke and so on.

Mand’alor Din travels quite a lot to establish trading and treaties with other planets. Along the way he ends up going to Jakku, and finding lil force sensitive Rey. She’s hesitant to leave with him, but he knows what it’s like to hope for parents to come back. He promises her that he knows someone in Jakku, and that if anyone comes by looking for her, to send them to him. and after maybe a bit more convincing, she agrees to train with Luke.

It’s not all peace treaties with Din though, and i imagine he still does some bounties or maybe he has to help run Imperials out of a town. After the battle, he opens a room that has a bunch of kids. They were taken from a nearby town, their parents all slaughtered. Din takes them in as foundlings and it isn’t until weeks later as he’s with some of them, does he realize one of the children, one who calls himself Finn, is actually force sensitive. He also goes to start training with Luke.

Yavin IV isn’t just a Jedi school. As far as I know it has actual towns? Or at least homes. It’s where Shara Bey and Kes Dameron reside, along with their son, Poe! The jedi school isn’t close to any of the homes, but lil Poe still manages to “sneak” into it. Luke knows full well that the kid watches in on lessons, but he lets him be. He brings it up to Din when they’re making dinner, and the mandalorian decides to teach him some things. This gets popular as it goes around the school and more kids decide to join in until Din also gets his own class to teach. Poe makes friends easily with Rey, Finn, and Grogu, and they get into trouble a lot.

Now it comes to Ben. I kinda debated putting him in this au but since he’s a child, i decided he deserved a chance. He feels like an outsider in the school, with his mom being a senator and his uncles being the teachers. But that’s how he gets close to Grogu. They have something in common that allows them to connect and i think that before the other three joined, it was mainly just them playing around and being friends, especially at family get togethers.

When the other kids showed up, he distanced himself from Grogu. He got really jealous and almost quietly possessive and decided to retreat into himself. it didn’t help that he had this voice in his head that was making his everything worse. Grogu wasn’t having any of it though. He didn’t really understand why Ben kept trying to pull himself away and he talks to Luke about it. Luke, who does understand, starts to have actual conversations with Ben about what’s going on and Ben opens up to him about the voice, and the other bad stuff going on in his mind. They both decide to work together to figure this out.

In turn, i think Ben starts accepting the other three more. Actually hanging out with them and Grogu. They absolutely become the troublemaker crew and would be the bane of Luke’s existence if he wasn’t so fond of them all. I’d like to think that with actual support from his friends and family, that voice that tempts him to the dark side slowly quiets, especially since he knows now how to overcome dark emotions like jealousy and anger. (yes i did write three paragraphs about Ben that just means “please let this kid get therapy”)

this is long but i’m not done yet im sorry.

I don’t know how old these kids are. I’m thinking like 8-11? Finn being 8 and Poe being 11? fuck canon age gaps idc.

anyway, this all started because i fell in love with retired dinluke so we gonna skip a lot of years in which Din is no longer Mand’alor. He probably passed it off to someone else. not any of the kids though.

Luke’s students are all off on their own adventures. Some became Jedis and have their own students, some aren’t Jedi and are just doing their own thing, and who knows, maybe some swore to the Mandalorian creed. Regardless, Luke and Din are both content with the world. They get to have their happy peace after years and years of doing what the world demanded of them, even if they did it willingly. Luke’s students still come and visit. The troublesome five have been off into the world (maybe resolving some palpatine shit idk), but they like coming home and causing trouble for old time’s sake. Din and Luke don’t mind, that’s just what comes with being in the Skywalker family.

yeah so thats my little fix it au in which Din and Luke falling in love saves everything so the sequels never happened. if y’all wanna add something or talk about it with me please do! i know this was a lot to read but i appreciate it!

🔥 Ty you’re the perfect person for me to go off about this first one with- lets talk about ocs.

OCs are often treated badly in this RPC.

As ya’ll know, I write ocs. I write a lot of them, I write a grand total of.... Eleven, with varying degrees of activity. So obviously, this is an issue that I not only care about, but it effects me GREATLY. I don’t write any canon characters (anymore) bc I can’t take the pressure of being ic and true to canon bc I’m a stickler for canon. Anyway.

OCs. We’ve all probably had them at some point. IF you’ve been around long enough there was even a server dedicated to them that I was a part of. And in being in that server and writing ocs, I have made some observations.

-OC Popularity is often directly linked to either the popularity of the writer. Chances are, if you’re a popular blog that writes canons.... If you offer an OC, people will like them. Blogs are popular because the writing is good and the writer is friendly, so obviously, your OC will be appealing. This?? Isn’t a bad thing. It’s just something that I have noticed. I’ll never really get all that mad at an oc for being popular lol. I might get jealous but like. I won’t do jack about it.

-OCs are often better than canon characters. I said it. Lets face it, Horikoshi has so many characters that he can’t make all of them as fleshed out and well cooked like the protagonists and the main antagonists. OCs offer fresh new blood to the story we all know and love, and they might just end up spicing up what your blog canon is. Seriously, I’d fuckin kill to see some of the OC’s ive met in the actual publicization. And we can all agree, any OC is better than Mineta. /lh Anyway, holding canon characters i nthe highest regard of who’s worth writing and who’s worth writing with, you’re only holding yourself back,

-People are often stinky about family of canon character OCs and I think people shouldn’t brush them off so readily. Like. Bro, *holds up Hideki Kirishima* this boy is canon idc what you say. IT’s fun to make the world a little bigger. Indulge a bit, see how it feels to give your canon muse a sibling. Just. JUST DO IT.

-People avoid oc muses with bitchin powers As if our main characters aren’t OP as hell. Like. Come one. We’re having fun don;t make us feel bad. Communicate and talk about things. Just bc my OC has a quirk that COULD kill yours immediately, doesn’t mean I’m gonna make it happen without your permission. People are quick to assume that OCs godmod. Stop that.

-SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE OCS BUT ARE SCARED TO WRITE THEM. Y’all. It’s okay. Please, write your ocs. People will come to them, I swear. Some of my favorite ocs pretty much had to be coaxed out of people, and now i can’t imagine these ocs not running around. We should be confident in our creations. It takes a huge amount of skill to create a new character from scratch.

🔥 That actually kinda brings me into my next thing, which is what I like to call the Just Make And OC moment. I’ve seen this in a lot of fandoms, and I’ve started to see it more and more in this community. What is this moment?

Say you’re writing a canon character. You think, hey, I like this character, but what if.... X. So, you roll with it, you do X. You like it, you keep it. And then, you’re like... What if.... Y. And you do that too. Great, you’re having fun. But then, you’re like... Z... I REALLY want Z. And these can be small things, but more often than not, they’re BIG things. Big, CHARACTER CHANGING things.

We all have the freedom to interpret canon how we want, and write our muses how we want.... But... What if you just... Took everything you just did.... And just... Made an OC. Like, you’ve changed core elements of the character so much that they’re barely recognizable. just give them a new name, maybe change the hair color and BOOM. You have a GREAT OC to start with. I used to be in the Undertale RPC and Fandom and if you’re familiar you know that Undertale is just... AU City. And it’s fun, I’m glad people have fun- but if you’re changing literally everything about a character, even their NAME... It’s just?? Why bother, just make an OC. It’s fine. BC if you think about it, you’re not really an alternate universe, it’s the MHA universe and its character that you’re altering. And there’s a point where... You’ve just made your own character, and that’s sick as hell.

I’m not talking like... Those things where “Oh yeah it’s all the same except instead of dying, Magne lives and has a beautiful husband and lives to be one hundred” or “This is a verse where a villain character gets rehabbed into heroic society” because those are things that wont take away or add too much to the character. It’s more like you’re opening a door for new things without adding or taking away too much. It’s when you diverge so far from the character... THAT’S when the Just Make An OC Moment kicks in.

PART of the reason I think people don’t just do this is they like being connected to the canon character, bc it means that they can still garner interest but chances are, if you already have people interested in writing with you, they will happily take your oc.

All that to say, if you write a canon divergent canon character, don’t stop, if it makes you happy. Like, seriously this is just something I see and feel. But also dont? Be surprised? If people aren’t super on board? I don’t really like to write with straight up moral flipped characters bc i feel like... If Deku was a sadistic villain brought up by AFO instead of his mom, he ain’t Deku anymore. THATS JUST ME, but I’m not the only person who feels that way. People might just want that classic vanilla canon, and you shouldn’t make people feel guilty for it, in my opinion. Keep doing what makes you happy, and let other folks to the same.

Also, it’s not your place to tell someone what they should or shouldn’t do. If someone writes a canon divergent and you don’t like the divergences, move on. It’s not your business. That’s not what I’m doing, I’m just saying that sometimes I am bothered by this, because to me it seems like a lot of these canon divergent canons are in essence, OCs, but since they still have the canon’s name and face strapped to it, it gets more love and attention. And that bugs me, and I will point it out! I’m not sorry for it.

I know this one will make me lose some of you so I’m sorry.

🔥 I’m running out of juice but uh can we talk about how blogs about minor characters are the fucking tits bc like i said earlier Horikoshi has so many characters he left a lot of side characters with next to no bones and the people who take those bones and stuff them full of flesh??? Chefs kiss. That’s kind of my exception to the Just Make An OC Moment. At some point, that character just BELONGS to that person, like Spinner belongs to Eros, or how Meow created a Hawks’ dad that is so much better than what we got, and Flowers literally created Wash.

toji appeared for like, 1% of the manga and became one of the best written characters imo. he's so complex, he's not good or bad. his character raises a very important question to me which seems to apply to jujutsu kaisen as a whole: what exactly is bad? can you really blame toji for the way he turned out to be? the things he did? there really is no winners in this manga, if the mc was switched, pretty sure our main cast would be the villains too

workload really is awful! worst thing is, it's not the law part. i LOVE my law classes. i wish i could have fucking time to study for them. i mostly take non-law classes this semester and i swear to fucking god i'm not studying law, i'm studying whatever the fuck those classes are. i feel like i'm not learning anything from them, they're just bullshit. at least i hope they will be useful for when i start my interviews for internships. what do you have in mind for what you wanna do? how's the search going?

aah that's so exciting, congratulations! i would love to read it sometime, if you feel comfortable with sharing it of course :) i find organizing my blog so relaxing. just the sheer pleasure of organizing is so good, but tumblr is awful so i understand the struggle lol
