During the process of making the blot cartoons, I incidentally made a small broadside beach OC along with them! Tracey Lauren, the 'archiver' behind the project. Some more info about them and Laurel under the cut.
Tracey has always been a broadside fan since she was little, in fact their father worked as an animator there for a long time. I imagine they probably got some sort of benefit that allowed them to visit broadside beach/studiogrounds, so they were there a lot. At some point in the future, they discovered a whole bunch of old tapes which held, albeit corrupted, clips of supposedly lost blot cartoons! Thus, he began to upload whatever snippets he could recover onto the internet to share. However the further they got into the tapes, the less there was of the cartoons- but more footage of things broadside wanted to keep under wraps. As you could imagine, the stuff within the tapes was rather gruesome and scarring for Tracey, but out of some sort of morbid curiosity, they continued to press on. It got to a point where he barely took care of herself in order to get them all uploaded. I don't know exactly what happened after that, but I do know Tracey basically disappeared off the face of the earth (online) after every tape was properly archived.
As for Laurel- I feel like she's debately 'canon' to Tracey's story, but I thought it'd be fun to make him. Laurel somewhat represents Tracey, but more her subconscious want to stop what she's doing and forget everything they unintentionally dug up. I don't think Laurel's very fond of Tracey for this reason... Laurel lives on Nulla Terra and she keeps a sort of record of the history n such on the island. For her minigame, he asks Bucky to help sort through the files in a relatively easy timed matching game. Each time you fail, Laurel becomes notably more uneasy with Bucky's presence (In reference to Tracey becoming aware that the 'Bucky' they knew was actually a murderous corpse in a suit). Things do happen during each failure like in the actual SW64 game, but I think I'll save what happens in them for later :] .

Quackity was hosting a space on Twitter and these are a couple of things that he mentioned and that I was able to hear if you're interested [I couldn't hear the beginning or the end sadly :c]
- Quackity is going to upload a video to his main YouTube channel
- He also wants to create more content for his channel in spanish, but not simply re-upload streams but rather record specific content for YouTube
- As for streams, he wants to make more streams including irl stuff
- About the qsmp he said that "exciting" things are coming and that there are incredible plans for 2024
- He said he wanted to stream tomorrow [stream de rosca de reyes xd] he said he wanted to do it with someone but he didn't confirm anything, he just said "we'll see who with"
- Quackity also said this month was exciting because he had several personal announcements he said, and I quote: "Tomorrow I could be announcing that I am going to have a child and guess what? I'm not lying, or maybe I am, I don't know, who knows? who knows?.."
- He said he basically wanted to ''report'' so we could see he wasn't dead and that he wasn't "scratching his balls" [being lazy] and that he's been working really hard [which is why he's been inactive lately]
- He said he wanted to give this year everything he "owed us" from last year, like new emotes: "Emotes are coming soon for both channels and also for a third channel if I learn to speak Portuguese"

Hi there! I saw the screen recording you did for the Aemond gifset (superb work, by the way) and I was wondering if you would be open into doing a step-by-step tutorial on how you played with the colors (what was the graph on the right side of the window?) and how you manipulated the color palette when saving the gifs? Hi there, nonny! Step by step below the cut here.
I don't keep the psd files of my gifs, mostly because I don't have the storage space to do that, so I've made a different gifset of the same scene, so it should be much the same, if not better.
I believe this:
is the graph you were asking about? This is the histogram. I don't believe it has any practical usage in gifmaking. If any other gifmaker here has a different opinion, please share it. (I'm doing a photography degree, photoshop is my next unit so I'll know more about it soon)
Right, step by step. Hold your horses, this is long:
Step 1: get the clip. Some gifmakers use screen caps to make gifs. I do not know how to make them or how to use them and I find my own method works. If another gifmaker could add on how you make your screen caps, and if it is better than my own method, please add it. 😊
Where you get the clip from is a question. YouTube, somewhere else... as long as it's saved as a MP4 file on you computer/laptop, it doesn't matter. What does matter is the quality of your clips. A lot of people use 4K (super high quality) clips. I find those to be slow and arduous and may have been responsible for the fall of my old, decrepit laptop. HD or UHD are likely enough for some decent quality.
Step 2: Get the clip in the software (I use Adobe Photoshop. For some softwares, you might have to clip the clip i.e. make it shorter before just dumping it in) In Photoshop go to File > Import > Video Frames to Layers and a window will come up. Move the sliders until you have approximately what you want (don't worry about being exact. Just as long as you have what you need.) (Don't forget to click Limit to every 2 frames)
Step 3: Once the clip has opened and your ready to start, crop out any black/white edges. Then cut out the frames you don't want
Step 4: We are now ready to begin editing!! 🥳🥳🥳 Editing tends to just be a huge pile of trial and error. I have an order to things, but I often have to go back and adjust my first layers later.
I like to start with the Brightness/Contrast, for obvious reasons (I like to SEE what I'm doing *cough cough* HBO *cough cough*
The I adjust the Hue/Saturation, where I reduce the saturation of each individual colour. That reduction tends to be useful when I make further adjustments in effort to 'fix' as much of the shit colour grading as I can.
The next step is a combination of a Photo Filter (set to the default warming filter) and a Vibrance adjustment layer.
Next the where most of the magic happens. The Colour Balance allows me to adjust the colours in the shadows, midtones and highlights. The aim of this is to attempt to restore some colour. It can look a little weird when editing.
Finally is the Levels. This is a final brightness edit where I add most of my contrast.

Then, change the frame delay to 0.1, or whatever suits your fancy, but 0.1 is the most natural. Then, Click the button in the bottom left corner of the timeline which Converts to Video Timeline, then select all the layers, right click and Convert for Smart Filters.
After this is sharpening, cropping and then exporting. Either File > Export > Save for Web (Legacy) or Alt + Shift + Ctrl + S
Here I change the size. (Usually adjust the height to 540px. Width depends on how I've cropped it. I my source clip excluding black edges was in the ratio 16:9, 540px is usually half that)
If you are uploading gifs to Tumblr, keep an eye of the file size. Tumblr doesn't allow for file sizes about 10MB, although for me it's always been more like 9.5MB. If that number is too high and you have made the gif as short as possible (no more the 50 frames if possible) and you have reduced the size (my limit tends to be about 480px height dependant on my crop ratio), then you change the number of the colours from 256 to NO LESS THAN 200. (lower than this may considerably reduce your quality)
Then you press Undo or Ctrl + Z a few times until you have all of your frames again and then repeat.
And all that can take half an hour or more. Hope this answers the question as well.

While I wait for the result of the art request poll, I decided to give Clip Studio Paint a try, and I have to say I loved it! It felt so comfortable, and I love the timelapse function. It took me around 3 hours to draw this, so it was pretty quick and easy to use. Btw, opinions and critics on this new art style I'm trying are welcome!

Whenever i see ppl getting mad at this moment saying "of course jm will do that because cam are filming" but when i tell you that they were drunk at night, jk picked jm bridal style the exact way like this video then he left a mark on jk's neck after biting him cause jk wouldn't put him down lol. the difference between their off cam nd on cam moments is their off cam goes more wild than on cam it seems lol. like that's literally what they do off cam so why would it be anything different if the cam filmed them??
Mind you the SS in this tweet had 2k+ likes....where they're clearly shading jikook
Then this moment....saw antis loosing their shit saying "of course even their workout is for cam nd fanservice" but if i tell u that jm and jk told us they have been working out together, taking walks together, jk visiting jm's room 3 times a day for hrs all happened off cam then what? if out of 10 days being together and working out the comapny filmed one day how is that fake or for cam??
Jin called jk jm's cook years ago which means he cooks for jm nd has been for yrs so how is one time the comp showing it turns into fake?
Then saw this post where the implication is that jm and jk would never be loud about eachother if they were dating in a homophobic country cause it means seeking attention but all this showed me is people are simply mad that jm and jk are loud for eachother. cause i do remember tkkrs saying jk not going live when tae's album dropped means the biggest form of support and they dragged jk watching jm's content on his TV as company forced things idk how that is 😶 saying gcft wouldn't have been uploaded when it was jk's choice to upload it and comapny let him do what he wants cause either way later his hobby was used for company content too. Using gcft as an example yet religiously waiting for gcf Taekook and hoping it would happen soon. Years of them using the namsan taekook hangout pic showing jk's cam claiming the company didn't let him upload it when he never said he made one in the first place?? Then jk himself saying the last thing he filmed in his phone is "jiminsii being happy" when asked what's the last thing he filmed, but all this doens't always mean he's gonna make it or convert it into a gcf. Wanting your fav focused gcf is not the problem here it's cute with but then having the audacity to claim gcf is some comapny content when the whole video has been filmed, edited and uploaded by jk. Even the staffs, members, jimin himself didn't know he was going to make something like that cause it was his first ever gcf (made on a trip he planned when they were going through difficult times), he was happy, must have paid for the copyright of the song used, the only video he said wasn't work like other gcfs (doens't take away his admiration for his members or his hardwork of course), the only gcf that wasn't linked to other officials company sns accounts.
Then for years they been crying calling every jikook interaction that is filmed by comapny as fanservice or fake yet they were celebrating the same comapny content cause it had tk clip.
They say that the company is making money out of jikook by feeding jikook content yet they say that they get taekook content in paid comapny content lol the contrast. Do check the video I'll link below so you can see how many times they said that they get the taekook content in paid comapny content yet use it as a drag when it's jkk in DVDs, cancelling dvds.
Trying to make the comapny villain where it doens't concern when that's literally how the company has been posting every members' visit to other members. they post it days later in bangtab bomb or promotion videos. but they were also calling jk's visit to jm's practice as company content yet yesterday it was sign or pure love.
They were saying they don't believe media cause they make clickbait posts when someone uses jkk # for their arrival or departure yet proudly flaunt when dispatch used taekook #. They believe dispatch is hinting them for their ship mind u the same media which makes ckickbait posts but will surely ignore the same dispatch asking people what they think of v and Jennie's relationship or the same dispatch reporting on tae and Jennie breaking up lol.
Taekookers and their narratives chages purely based on what's benefitting them. this whole comapny promoting jikook wouldn't have existed in the first place if it was taekookers getting more content of taekook than jikook. not the company's fault of these two are together most of the times. The company doens't just cut taekook moments but every Single memebr's cause you don't expect them to post everything of everyone right?
years of them begging taekook to enlist together and now it's "gay couple won't enlist together in homophobic country" only because it's jm and jk. Were happy getting every update of jk from taehyung but if it's jm who's giving then he's leeching off.
They should have understood one thing that no matter how many times they try to drag jm and jk's bond they ain't giving shit and will do what they want. just like nothing stopped them from enlisting together doens't matter who's mailing ministry.

Jacob was on the Graham Norton Show yesterday- I will say I had never seen a full episode of this show, I'd only ever seen clips, the vibe is very different from the US late-night programs I'm used to and I don't know if it was just the lineup for this ep or if this is the norm for this show but I found myself laughing through almost the whole thing it is very entertaining that being said I wish the time among the guests had been divided better because, at least to me, Jacob is the one who got the least amount of attention and talking time which was really disappointing. I wish he had gotten asked more questions and had the opportunity to talk more about the show, and just gotten more focus/attention in general.
Nonetheless, I'm glad I watched it, if you didn't get the chance to watch it live somebody uploaded it online I'll leave a link at the bottom of this post just in case anyone wants to check it out but if you're in the US you will need a VPN to access it. It will also be up eventually on AMC+ so if you're willing to wait just keep an eye out for when it's loaded. He doesn't talk about s2 but he does talk about iwtv in general. He mentioned how the last time he was on the show he was there as the musical guest and one of the regular guests was Kirsten Dunst who played Claudia in the IWTV movie!
He says that Rolin Jones was able to adapt all of the books so he could bring things in from later on so Lestat on the show is bad but there's a little bit more pathos in him while Louis has a bit more backbone.
On the Loustat relationship, he says: "They fall very much in love but they sort of hate each other and love each other at the same time. They have this like really intense love affair that destroys both of their lives. And they decide to have a child!" He understands them so well.
They show a clip of iwtv it's of the moment Louis kills the alderman's attorney in ep 2. Jacob comments that the line "it was both random and unfortunate the man picked that night to dabble in fuckery" is probably one of his favorite lines he's ever said.
He also reveals the sound when he shows the vampire fangs was not intentional. When they were shooting they were trying to figure it out how to reveal teeth in a good way and he figured out one day the best way to do it was to do like a cat sound, to hiss so they did it and everybody else got on board except for Sam who was a little more reticent and wanted it to be taken seriously which is hilarious to me but at the same time I would expect nothing less from Sam 'actual vampire' Reid. So now vampires hiss!
He also talks a bit about Louis accent, he initially worked with a dialect coach who wanted him to do a French Creole accent which was apparently popular at the time but he didn't think he could do it so he just listened to people in cabs and shops.
And he says there were a lot of different variations of blood some of which were just for aesthetic purposes like the human blood which is dark, the vampire one is sparkly, but they made him a drinkable "blood" that was made of hibiscus tea, and raspberry but it was awful, it was like sour patch kids. Somebody from the iwtv crew drop the recipe cause I love Sour Patch Kids.
As a random note, this man is so cute, I wanna hug him.

Another clip with more riding animations. Most of the other animations are unchanged for now.
I was going to record versions with other body types, but tbh I think the animations are similar enough between them that it's not necessary. I'll still try to upload plenty of pictures though.
I've also heard some grumblings about how unfinished they are and that is a valid opinion. My understanding is that SSO is releasing them now so that other projects such as retrofitting tack can continue. I think it's worth having unpolished models for now if it means the team doesn't have to do twice the amount of work later on.

Mythcraft Jesse
When I first made this piece (Mythcraft Jesse being the first picture I made for the series) I didn't give a description for it. So, I'm just going to put something here.
When working on Mythcraft Jesse I was primarily using a griffin as the myth to turn Jesse into. Though while working on it, I did use a little bit of a centuar in the design as you can see, using a lion, with the bird legs and wings are that of an owl. I also didn't want to give her a bird head, because I wanted to do her hair. So she was given a lion head instead. This was also made back when I wasn't adding any backgrounds (a few of the other completed ones I've got don't have much of a background either), I might go back to having not much of a background to lessen the time I take for these pieces but IDK at the moment.
There is stuff about the Mythcraft world lore that I'm working on so maybe I'll post all that some other time. You can also find this picture over on my DA page, along with the speedpaint I did of this picture on my youtube channel.
Though I'll be honest Mythcraft Jesse was my first speedpaint that I uploaded and there was a mistake that I made and didn't realize I did it till after the upload. I've kept it up and I'm trying to find where I put the original clips for the speedpaint (no clue where it is, the file might be gone for all I know cause I'm still looking for them) and maybe I'll make a reupload for this specific piece in the future. I'll work on adding more of the other complete Mythcraft pieces I've done (along with other stuff I've made) later on.

i made a video of avbar1 with a longer clip but this website can't post video anymore so the tab crashed. which is funny given that roadtrip has succeeded on its last ~4 video upload coinflips. i'll put it on youtube unlisted tomorrow or something
anyway man i need to talk to somebody who knows more than me about what state tfc is in. because it's clearly not the ~2004 executable in some small and subtle ways, so i FEEL like they've changed it, but i don't know how. they've been doing small patches over the last decade or so, mostly security fixes, but i don't see anything larger than that. it's weird shit like 'i'm not sure it's calculating visleaf culling like it used to, because i can now see this area through the skybox that i know wasn't visible when i was a kid'

got a satellite dish on the treehouse (for internet) and a christmas light texture i painstakingly edited in paint shop pro. not animated. i think i figured that out later but it was even more of a pain in the ass in goldsource than it is now
made those present textures in paint shop pro too. a fish tank with no fish (but it bubbles sometimes). and the most fucked up brush star i've ever seen in my life. look, times were different then, i didn't know about things like 'vertex grid alignment' and making models to go in your map was something only the truly cool kids knew how to do
got a glass of water by the bed. important. i have always been weirdly hung up on small details like this, apparently
and... whatever this sink situation is here. i had to take a minute and put myself into my precocious child brain and remember that, well, a treehouse wouldn't have plumbing, so in my swiss family robinson dreams i'll just put a water cooler in my treehouse. i thought about this stuff way too much as a kid. you can also turn a stove on and climb into it and die instantly. the fridge opens but there's no fridge light. smh
based on the modified date on the bsp, i think i would've been 11 here. there's a sign out front with my old [very explicitly feminine-gendered] username on it which i made a choice not to take a picture of and i can't really explain why. i have more or less posted my legal birth name and have no particular animosity towards that but this feels more invasive somehow. possibly because there's a very real chance you could dig up my Sonic Krazy Kult-ass posts. because i was posting on the internet when i was like, 9. although [TWO DECADES OF MASS INTERNET DEVELOPMENT] later that's no longer abnormal

In honour of finally getting a date for the new Taskmaster season, here's a clip of John Robins' approach to pointless games.
It's from a radio show feature called Made Up Games, which they started doing a few years into their radio show. At first they did Winner Plays On, a competitive quiz feature that was my favourite thing about the first 150 episodes, but they did eventually have to retire it as they were running out of topics. They replaced it with Beta Bet, a word game that I found great fun while it lasted, but they had to retire that because Elis was so bad at it (and John was quite good at it, but mostly Elis was bad at it) that John kept winning so easily. So because every good show needs some kind of competition, they replaced that with a feature called Made Up Games, which is a direct rip off of the Bored Games feature from the Russell Howard + Jon Richardson radio show, though those features were played nine years apart and I guess no one has a patent on the concept of inventing games so it's fine.
Basically, listeners write in with the little games they've made up, John and Elis play one per episode. In this episode, the game is to put a pile of coins on a receipt, and try to pull out the receipt without moving any coins. Most of the games they feature are less visual and therefore better radio than this one, but I cut this one out because it seemed so much like the sort of thing they do on Taskmaster (it's almost exactly the same as one of the season 6 tasks), and the way John handled it is so much the way I'm hoping he'll approach every task on Taskmaster.
I don't know what John Robins will show up on Taskmaster. I am currently immersed in the radio show circa 2018, and I realize I am familiarizing myself with the John Robins of the past, whom I hear is quite different than the current John Robins, a man who has quit drinking and maybe got his shit together. I have also expressed that I quite like the John Robins who was bitter and annoying, so I hope he hasn't changed too much, and we still get a bit of that on Taskmaster.
Having now tried to spend some time not drinking alcohol myself (and... not perfectly succeeding, but mostly succeeding, still keeping it up), I've got to say I'm pretty sure that not drinking alcohol doesn't necessarily make a person less miserable or less annoying. Quite the opposite in my personal experience. You can stop drinking alcohol and still be really really annoying.
And the level of annoying in the clip I posted above is really quite tame. I know it's too much to hope that Taskmaster John Robins will reach Winner Plays On-Brian May-gate levels of annoying. He'll probably have more restraint than that, being older and wiser. But I'd still be happy with the lower, more manageable "I beat you at this pointless game and need to make sure everyone noticed that I stared right at you while I did it" levels of annoying. I think that's a reasonable level of annoying to expect him to reach on Taskmaster.
This is actually an episode in which later on we got a very rare instance of Elis James slightly losing patience with the levels of annoying to which he's subjected on a regular basis, which I found quite funny, and I cut out and uploaded the clip before realizing it's not funny out of context. It's only funny if you've listened to Elis be unbothered by a million little annoying Robins comments over several years (Elis James is a saint, by the way, he's an all right comedian but deserves to win a Chortle Award in the category of Extreme Patience), and then this one fairly innocuous little gripe gets him to finally push back. But here it is anyway since I've already uploaded it.
I actually find it a bit weird that I'll be watching John Robins circa 2023 in a couple of weeks - I've been carefully going through all his stuff in chronological order (not just the radio show, but trying to listen to his other podcast appearances and watch his few TV things alongside the radio chronology), and I'll suddenly jump forward in time by five years. I just hope he's still competitive and snippy and annoying. Overly, pointlessly competitive, to the point of sacrificing making entertaining TV. I want everyone on the special secret little internet forums to fucking hate him. That's the kind of Taskmaster I like to see.

Lost Media - Halloween Animatronic
One of my most niche interests is Halloween animatronics. Surprisingly, there is even a small community for this that tends to align with haunters- people that operate or work at haunted houses. An interesting rabbit hole to dive down is that, somehow, get lost. It's crazy to think how an entire robot goes missing, but it can happen for a variety of reasons, such as prototypes not being picked up or finished, props being unable to find a distributor (such as Spirit Halloween, Home Hardware, or other pop up Halloween shops), or so few being made due to high cost that they tend to wind up lost in some storage unit somewhere.
One of the most sought after animatronics appears to be the Face Ripper Crying Bride, which would be developed by Morbid Enterprises/Industries (unfortunately, this producer went bankrupt in 2020 and shut down, but you may know them as the people that made the prop infamously featured in the Russian Sleep Experiment photo.)
As the name suggests, the face ripper bride would have hands molded to her face, so as her head lifted it would appear as though she was ripping her face off. Very simple, yet very creepy, definitely would have traumatized me as a kid. So, here's a post dedicated to her.
Let's start with a demonstration of the prop's actions, which could be found with the matching Face Ripper Groom that was produced and sold!

So, what happened to the bride?
Well, we're not entirely sure. We do know that she appeared in a catalogue magazine for the 2009 season, which is where the photos we have come from. That's about all we have. Supposedly a video of the prop in action existed at one point, uploaded by the distributor HalloweenAsylum, but was deleted likely due to the product not being released as planned. The original owner of Morbid said he has it in an email, but the password to the email was lost, so he can't access it.
There was a point where somebody on youtube claimed to have the audio files, however the op claims they were removed for termination, then states that they accidentally corrupted the files. The clean audios were up long enough for people to nab them, so we do know the supposed audio, if not a very good recreation of the audio. You can hear the alleged audio in this video. If you do seek the corrupted audios, be aware of a volume warning, as the audios are very high pitched and loud.
The validity of this audio is debated upon, as there are reasons for both sides. First starters, OP seems to be an archivist for rare Morbid audio. The quotes are faithful to the agreed memory that she says "I'll make him suffer for what he did to me", the audio having a spookier voice halfway through, and the way that it follows the same formula as the clown and groom. However, some people recall her having a Southern accent, which is missing here in the alleged videos of her audio. It's also strange that OP would have the high quality of just the audio from the Halloween Asylum video, only to lose it roughly a week later and somehow corrupt the audio. As well, cross referencing with Halloween Asylum's videos from 2009 to the high quality that was reuploaded by other users (such as the one in the link), makes me rule out that it's unlikely the audio is real. The videos posted by Halloween Asylum in 2009 are obviously not the best quality, far lower than that audio clip. Some demo videos have the audio completely replaced with music (likely props with no audio), while other demo videos have the lower quality sound of the prop as well as a lot of background noise from the store/setup (or wherever these videos came from). To isolate the animatronic's audio from a 2009 video so cleanly and somehow in higher quality would be a difficult task, there would likely have to be some artifacting in the audio. Even these days, isolating vocals from a modern song can prove difficult as you often still hear the surrounding audio. Plus, to lose 14 years of that very rare isolated audio in such high quality to corruption would be more devastating than OP seems to act in their video comments.
So, that's about all we have. Close leads, but not close enough to help us find her. I can only hope that she gets found soon, perhaps the prototypes from the catalogue or the Halloween Asylum video, she has a particular charm to her craving for vengeance.

ID- Simon is filming still from a hospital bed. He has clearly seen better days. Bits of ambient corruption can be seen radiating down his right arm. It rarely seems to want to hold together, flickering with static. The right side of his neck and a bit of his face show some very light signs of partial fragmentation as well, but this seems to be mild. He mumbles to himself, and his voice seems to crackle, sounding vaguely unfocused, as if being filtered through a failing speaker.
Simon: Ok... so if I'm this far away it shouldn't corrupt the video file. That's good to know. Let's try again...
ID- He looks up, adjusts his glasses and looks into the camera now.
Simon: I apologize for my appearance in th s video. But typing has become agonizingly slow. I just wanted to give a quick update on my condition and the state of PT town. The damage was... a lot. There are so many people who have been displaced, left without homes, missing altogether.
ID- He seems to shift uncomfortably. He is trying very hard not to let his right arm touch anything, possibly for fear of clipping through.
Simon: We still do not know the exact cause of the destruction, but thanks to video footage that's remained miraculously mostly intact we have pieced together an approximation of the events. Though bizarrely, even though I can watch back the footage myself, retaining any memory of it is very difficult. I find myself immediately forgetting details only moments later. It could be my condition. Or something else.
ID- He pauses. Even keeping his voice from distorting seems to be taking a great deal of effort.
Simon: There are still victims that are being treated. This incident produced an inordinate number of ZZaZZ victims. They're all currently being treated with medication to aid in the defragmentation process. So far results are very positive, so we have hope all of them will make a recovery. As for myself, it's likely I'll be returning to Hoenn soon. Though I believe I'll need to do a fair bit of explaining about all this. Then again, injuries are not uncommon in my line of work.
ID- He pauses, and seems to think for a bit to himself.
Simon: Oh, did I mention I don't have a findable pulse anymore? Apparently data fragmentation can interfere with medical equipment when trying to detect a heartbeat. Who knew? But I think that's all for now. I'll update you all further if there's anything more to report on!

I can't stand Ferrari letting Charles behind all the time and thinking is okay, the right thing to do, they f**** his race again to let his stupid teammate being the number 1.
*big long defeated sigh* I swear Ferrari just doesn't have it in them to stay on top of things for the entire race distance. About halfway through something always starts giving. By that logic they should smash it in the sprints. If only pace didn't matter eh 🫠🙃
First of all (because ofc people are arguing over this already) "fighting" for peanuts in P6 and P7... that's not where you want to be. Even with the safety car disadvantage they admitted post-race that their stint on hards was their weakest point and they didn't have much more left in that car. So clearly there are bigger issues that they really need to look into here.
That being said this race was giving Brazil a bit ngl. Charles was steadily making his way through the field after starting 12th, had a really good stint on softs, and was soon right up behind Carlos....yet again. Carlos, meanwhile, had a bit of a mid showing and even lost out to Stroll 😭😭 The dummy call was great, looks like it's the one strategic trick they can actually make work semi consistently.
Now, people are already kicking off about "well if he's faster why can't he pass." Charles had better pace than Carlos. As always with these things there's a lot of stuff that just gets ignored or isn't broadcast so people assume it doesn't exist. I'll review Carlos's radio myself later once the clip is uploaded. But just from following Tweets you see a few issues arise. Sounds like Ferrari had implied that Charles could have the pace to potentially chase down Lewis, but Carlos (and his RE?) kept trying to catch him on their own. Somewhere in the middle of this Carlos was also apparently shown a black and white flag for weaving. Turns out he didn't have the pace to chase down Lewis, by which point it's too late to consider doing anything anymore. Charles additionally made a mistake, I believe, ended up dropping out of the DRS zone, and then just switched to conservation mode to, like he said, "bring the car home" because it was obvious there's nothing else to fight for.
There was some mixed messaging around the hard tyre as well. Charles had a good stint on the softs, so I wonder if it would've been possible for them to extend that a bit (obviously they couldn't have known a safety car was just around the corner but still) and then try to stick on mediums. Lewis had a difficult time with the hards and he pitted for mediums just two laps after Charles did (lap 16 and 18) and seemed to have a good stint with those mediums while Ferrari dropped off on the hards. And I believe Charles had a set of new mediums banked... 🧐 But don't quote me on that, I could be way off, just musing out loud since the hard stint clearly didn't do them any favours 🙃

Day ??? Of GMod Animating on Zorin OS (Linux)
I've been super occupied on this video for the past week, and I'm happy to say that I've got it down, for the most part!
The video is finished, and I'll upload it later today on Vanillo to show off my progress, and since I started, I've made a change to my workflow.
I'm back on KDenlive - while Shotcut was doing good for a while, there are some aspects of it that I'm not particularly fond of. For one - text can only be used on clips and not included as a standalone source, unlike KDenlive, where you can make as many as you need and add them later. Also, organizing clips is just more comfortable on there by comparison, but the one issue I have with Kdenlive is still prominent - and it's that at random intervals, it will use up too much memory and freezes the computer as a result. I learned this when I made my first full render of the video, but was able to fix that issue by changing the number of threads used. The render came out smooth, with little to no issues. The former issue is still a problem though, and I'm working out a way to resolve it (if anyone has any suggestions, lemme know!), but other than that - my experience isn't too shabby, and I'll figure out some temporary solutions in the meantime.
Looking forward to showing the end result! :D
