It continues to amaze me how much the use of practical effects can impact a film and the way it's received by an audience.

The creators of the video set out to make an attempt at recreating some of the practical effects they saw in the footage. In the early days of the moving picture, this is what made up the majority of films- trying to see what different things looked like when the illusion of perspective can be harnessed as powerfully as it is on film.
