Pride
Happy Pride Month everyone! Whether you queer or questioning, closeted or out, I am so proud of you, you are valid and perfect! Remember that you never have to come out if you don’t want to. You’re not lying to anyone if you don’t. You don’t owe them to come out. Only do it if you want to. Also remember that labels can stay forever or can change and both is perfectly normal. You're fantastic the way you are. <3
So, I managed to write a pride fic for the first day of pride month! yay me. I hope you like it :)
Thank you for the idea @moonofthenight

When Pascal came into their living room it had never looked more colourful, but it had also not looked this messy in a long time. There was tape on all four sides of the table, paper and little paper cut outs all over the floor and in the middle of everything, all his four children, looking like deer in the headlights.
“What happened?”, he asked slowly. There would be a reasonable explanation for all of this, he was sure. Celeste had probably helped and they would clean everything back up in no time, leaving no trace of a mess before the team came over for dinner tonight.
Adele shuffled over looking at the floor. “Um,” she stared before glazing back at her siblings, who nodded at her encouragingly. “So, we decided to make some things for the others. You know, since you’re having that Pride Party tonight? We thought we’d make little gifts for the team.”
Oh, Pascal’s heart was already a puddle. “You-”, he stared, but couldn’t continue. He had questioned a lot if he should have raised his children differently, more open to the rainbow or attractions and genders (or lack thereof) that was out there, but this made him feel like he and Celeste had at least done some things right.
Pascal only realised he hadn’t properly said anything yet when Katie rushed towards him, hugging his hip. “Please don’t be mad. I promise, we’ll clean it all up. Mama said she’d help us!”, the big eyes of his youngest daughter stared up at him, guilty, but hopeful.
“I’m not mad, mon chou.”, picking her up, he turned towards the other three, still standing in front of him. “Not at any of you. This is an incredible idea! The team will love them. Thank you so much, it’s really thoughtful.” Leaning down, he placed a kiss on each of his childrens’ foreheads, including Katie’s before setting her down to get back to the others. Celeste walked through the door the next moment, flowers of all colours in her hand.
“You found our little pride squad then?”she asked, walking past him and into the kitchen, probably to cut off the ends of the stems. “Don’t worry, I’ll help them clean up and we’ll be done before any of your teammates even leave their houses.”
His wife knew him too well. He hated when other people visited them and their house was messy. Of course there had been times where he couldn’t really keep it clean with four toddlers running around, but he still always tried and his family knew that and helped him. It wasn’t really that it bothered him that visitors could see that they were possibly not clean people, it was just the principle. He thought it should that they were prepared and anticipated someone’s visit. He never wanted them to think it was a bad time to visit because he would eventually excuse the mess. He always wanted everyone to feel welcome.
And that’s what tonight would be about. Making his team feel always welcomed and loved and accepted.
Celeste returned back to their dining room without the flowers, kissing Pacal’s cheek and then turning towards their children. “Did you show him what you made already?” they shook their heads but quickly climbed up onto chairs and sorted through the things they had made. “They’re all really cute, I already saw some of them.” Celeste whispered giddily into his ear, as excitement bloomed in his chest and they walked over to look at the crafts.
“Here!” Katie waved a piece of paper in the air and Pascal walked around the table to look at what she had made. SHe beamed up at him as she explained, “This is for Tremzy! And Harzy and Knutty! It’s a card and I drew Lo, Leo and Finn on the front, see!” The man took the card in his hands. There were three stick figures on it, the smallest with brown hair, the next one with bright red hair and the last, taller than the other with yellow hair. In the back there were blue, red and black dots. “Why did you use those colours, ma petite?” He did have an idea, but with the many coloured pens on the table it could have just been a coincidence.
He could see Katie look over to Adele and Marc, before her eyes met his again. “Del and Marc said that those are the colours when you have more than one love and Logan has Finn and Leo, so they said I should use those. They look good together right?” Pascal could see that he wasn’t the only one close to tears after glazing over at Celeste smiling brightly. “Yes, Katie, it looks beautiful. Lo, Leo and Finn will love it! Adele, Marc, thank you for helping your sister. I know that this will mean a lot to Logan.” then as if he couldn’t help but to add, “I’m also very proud of you for looking up pride flag colours. I’m really happy you're informing yourself about these topics. They’re important.”
They all smiled at him. Pascal went over to Louis next. “I made two! This one is a card for Olli and Del and Marc also helped me with colours, so it's black, grey, white and this really nice purple that Katie gave me. It didn’t really match the photo, but I liked it better than the really dark one. Do you think he’ll mind?” The fact that his youngest son actually looked concerned staring down at his work had a tear spilling over. He let out a wet chuckle. “Non, je pense qu’il va l'adorer, c’est parfait. For who is the green one?” Louis pulled it out from under his other one and now Pascal could see it was not just green. There were black, grey, white and purple stripes on it too. “It’s for Reg! See, it’s got these stripes and then I drew this heart above it, cause even though he doesn’t want a boyfriend like Siri, he still gets all the love he needs from me and Siri and you and Re and the rest of the team!” Celeste came over and placed a kiss on his cheek, “He loves you too, mon lapinou. They look amazing.”
He walked over to his older son, he didn’t know if he could be any prouder of them. “ I made one for Kasey, Nat and Alex.” Marc stated as he handed his father one of the cards he had made. There were three heads on it, one with long blond hair and hoop earrings, one with light brown hair to the shoulders and one with dark red hair, freckles filling up more of his face than the light pink his son had used for all their skin tones. Pascal was about to compliment it, when Marc gave him another one. “This one is for Nado and Kuny. I made it full of hearts in pan and bi colours, because you mentioned that once and I really hope it’s right.” before Pascal could even think his next thought a stack of cards was placed in his hands. “And then for some of then we didn’t know, but we didn’t want them to feel left out or asume, so I made some rainbow ones for Pots, Talker, Sergei, Timmers, Cookie, Bluey, Ringer, Volley, Wrangler, Sunny and Foxy.”
Pascal was a bit shaken, not only that his son even remembered everyone of his teammates, without missing a single one, but at him having crafted every single one of them a rainbow card. “They will all love them, I’m sure. They look incredible.”
He saw Adele look down at her cards and moving them slightly out of view. Frowning, he walked over to her, “Did you also make something, ma colombe?” She nodded, pulling out one of her cards and holding it up for him to see. It was beautiful. She had glued blue magazine cut outs on the top of the cards, which got lighter til they reached a white in the middle and to green ones at the bottom. Over it there was a heart which read “Some hockey players marry their PT, get over it” He didn’t know how she had thought of that, but it was true and funny and so Adele, Pascal had no choice but to love it.
“These are all perfect. Thank you so, so much for making them, they’ll all love them I’m sure. We can tell them to all sit down in the living room so you can give them their cards later, sounds good?” They all nodded, seemingly happy with the idea. “Now let’s clean up before they come here and don’t recognize the place, eh?” All of them nodded as they got up, Celeste telling them where to start and how to clean it.
Pascal moved to the kitchen with the tray of now empty glasses Celeste had no doubt gotten them earlier, when he heard something behind him. Once he had carefully placed down everything he turned around to see Adele standing in the kitchen, arms behind her back. He waited for her to speak for only a moment until she did. “So, you saw that we made cards for everyone, because they’re all great and we should let them know we love and support them, right?” Pascal nodded, letting her continue, “But there’s one more card I made,” Pascal had counted before, his children hadn’t forgotten a single one of his teammates, he had no clue what that last card could be for. “because it’s important that they know they’re loved right?” she continued, “that’s a really important part of all of this. So,” she slowly pulled out a card from behind her back, “this one is for exactly that. Just because someone’s not queer or questioning, doesn’t mean they’re not important this month. It’s not the main focus of it, of course, but having allies is a big part of being able to be proud of who they are for some people. I wanted to thank you for that. I could have gotten some homophobic dad like some of my classmates, but I’m really, really glad I got you.”
She handed him the card she had made, similar to the collage of magazines but in black and white stripes with a rainbow A covering it. He couldn’t help the wetness that gathered in his eyes again. And here he had thought the emotional stuff wouldn’t be until the team arrived. He walked forward and hugged his oldest daughter. “Thank you so, so much,” he whispered, since he didn’t trust himself with anything else to come out anywhere close to evenly, “Thank you, ma petite. I am so proud to have you as my daughter. You’re the best children I could have ever asked for.”

To say that you hated high school wouldn’t be precisely correct. In fact, at some point, you remembered loving it. Sky Academy was the best place to receive education in the whole country, whether you were interested in academics, sports or the arts. But like most top schools with such reputations, it was difficult to get in. You either had to be incredibly talented, intelligent, or filthy rich. You could safely say that you hadn’t ever stumbled upon someone who was all three.
But of course, nothing good lasted.
Less than a year ago, you’d lost your friends, your perks, your stellar grades, and your reputation. High school was a vicious social ladder. You could climb higher and higher everyday and before you even knew it, you’re falling. And it was a long way down.
“I’m going to the park after school today with the others. You want to come?”
Sana was a girl you’d met in your English class years ago. She normally kept her hair cut above her chin, right now dyed bubblegum pink. She was something like a firecracker, her mood and decisions constantly changing which she expressed through her hair and clothes. One time in the last year, you’d told her about your mother’s new boyfriend at the time— the fourth one in a period of three months— when she’d suggested for you to try what she did at times of stress or too many emotions; the following day was the first time you’d come to school with chocolate brown hair. You’d never been so close with Sana before, but you were thankful you’d always remained on friendly terms, because now, she was the only friend you had left.
“The others?” you asked, grabbing some books from your locker to stuff in your backpack. It wasn’t that you didn’t like Sana’s friends, it was just that they were so different from the crowd you used to run with. While you were comfortable with the girl, sometimes you couldn’t help but feel out of place amongst all of them. “I don’t know…”
“Come on,” Sana urged. “It’s not like you’re going to start studying right after class, are you? It’s only the first month of school.”
“Yeah, but—“
“But you’re smarter than you think,” she said firmly. “And you don’t need to kiss up to teachers anymore for grades.”
You looked at her with an unsure expression, ultimately sighing. “Fine. I’ll be there.” You closed your locker door. “I have to go right now.”
“Go where? What do you have to do?”
You paused to look back her way. “Kiss up to a teacher.”
Sana groaned. “I was just joking!”
You grinned, continuing in the direction of the main office. At this time in the morning, it was pretty quiet. The receptionist gave you a friendly smile that you tried to return. It wasn’t that you came there often. You stayed away from the principal’s office; there was no need for any more attention on you. You supposed your face had become familiar there from all the times you’d come to see Mrs Oh, the academy’s guidance counsellor.
While you were sitting in the waiting chairs— or rather, sofas since this was, after all, Sky Academy— two people came out from the principal’s office, one being the headmaster himself, and the other, a tall boy with broad shoulders in a crisp, new uniform. The headmaster said a few words to him, a smile then a pat on the shoulder before returning to his office.
The boy stood there for a minute, uncomfortable or uncertain as he vaguely looked around him. He exchanged a polite smile with the receptionist at some point. Finally, you sighed inwardly, deciding that you might as well save him. “Hey,” you called. “New kid, right?”
The boy seemed a little startled, not having noticed you sitting there, although your current platinum blonde hair was a little hard to miss. “Um, yes. I’m Kim Seokjin.”
You stood up from your seat. “Yeah, I didn’t ask. All right, follow me.”
He raised his eyebrows as you waited by the door for him. “Follow you?”
“That is what I said,” you spoke slowly so that he could understand. “I’m your exclusive welcoming tour guide to the academy.”
“I wasn’t aware I was getting a tour guide.”
You waved a hand. “Please save your comments and questions for the end of the tour.”
“All right,” he allowed. If he was annoyed, he didn’t show it. "Can I at least know who my guide is? I don’t know how I feel about following someone I don’t know anything about. For all I know, you could be leading me somewhere quiet and secluded to murder me.”
You bit your lip, looking at him with a nod. “You make a valid point. I’m Y/L/N Y/F/N. Just call me Y/F/N, if you must. Anyway, so you know the front office where we just were.”
“Yes, I spoke with the headmaster and the lady at the front desk.”
You were less interested in actually listening to his answers. Making conversation was just a formality, not something you actually wanted to do. It was funny how much of a social butterfly you used to be. Lately it made you wonder if socializing was something you did only to adapt to your environment, rather than an activity you actually enjoyed. “Okay, so this is the foyer where people like to just hang around mostly. If there’s any event or advertising to be done, that usually happens here too.”
“What about extracurriculars?” Seokjin asked as you stopped by the doors to the gym.
“Let me guess,” you said, turning around to face him. “You’re a basketball guy.”
His voice held dry amusement. “Was it the height?”
You shrugged. “Possibly. Yeah, there’s a bunch of sports. Basketball, football, swimming. There are also a lot of arts programs. We have a theatre too, but I only ever go there when I’m being forced to attend an assembly.”
“You’re not very interested in school, are you?” he deduced.
“If by that you mean, this school, then you’re absolutely right.” You paused. “I’m so over this place. But…” You stopped walking, blocking his way as you faced him. He came to a sudden stop, slightly startled. Folding your arms over your chest, you narrowed your eyes. “I’ll have you know I’m getting extra credit for an assignment right now for agreeing to give this tour. That’s right, your presumptions about me were incorrect.”
He looked down for a moment, ears going slightly pink. “Sorry. I wasn’t trying to make… presumptions.”
You could’ve told him that it was okay and that an apology and his embarrassment wasn’t necessary. But you decided not to. “You’ll find that the people here live off of making assumptions about others. Which brings me to the next section of this guide. The kind of people you’re better off avoiding.”
With his long legs, it was easy for him to keep up with your pace while still paying attention. “You sound like you really know this place well.”
“I’ve been here for over three years now. But it wasn’t until last year when I realized what this place actually was.” You paused for dramatic effect. “Hell.”
Walking past the two of you were a bunch of younger girls, not very covertly casting glances at the boy beside you and giggling to themselves. You mentally groaned. If there was one thing you hated, it was the sound of delusional giggles. Sure, you’d admit that maybe Seokjin could fall into the tall, handsome category, but you’d sooner die than become a lovesick teenager. But thankfully, Seokjin didn’t notice. Hopefully, he was oblivious so that something like this wouldn’t get to his head.
Abruptly, you came to a stop. “So, you have the stereotypical popular kids. The football team and the cheerleaders.”
He followed your gaze to see the group of people wearing royal blue and sunny yellow colours, colours of the academy and also of popularity. “I thought pretty much all jocks fell into that stereotype.”
“No, some of the other sports teams are actually nice and bearable,” you informed him, gaze shifting again across from you. There was a pretty girl with long black hair and yellow and blue ribbons in her hair standing beside a handsome boy with brown hair and an all too familiar letterman jacket. You tried to ignore that tug in your chest. “But not football. If you want a smooth, drama-free year, you’ll do best without them in it.”
Seokjin spoke after a while and you wondered if it was because he’d noticed something you’d given away. “Noted.”
Just then, the teenagers began walking. Out of instinct, you turned your head in the other direction, relief filling you as they passed by without noticing you. Seokjin shot you a puzzled look which you dismissed by asking for his schedule. As the new kid, he was going to hear things that he’d have a lot of questions about, but you weren’t obligated to answer any of them. Especially not if they were related to you.
“Here we are, locker 334.” As he started turning the lock, you quickly glanced at his schedule. “You’re taking business?”
“My family does a lot of business,” he answered. “I thought it would be a good choice.”
You couldn’t help but notice the stiffness in his voice. Either he didn’t actually like business, or family was a touchy topic. But despite your curiosity, you wouldn’t pry.
“Interesting,” you murmured, attention returning to the paper in your hand. “Oh, I’m taking advanced calculus too.”
“Maybe we can sit together,” he suggested.
You raised a brow. “Why do you assume I’ll just sit next to you?”
“Oh, I didn’t—“
“I’m just kidding,” you cut him off, this time a little amused by how quickly his ears turned red. “Your first class is down this hall, to the right. If you get lost, you can ask someone.”
“As long as they’re not wearing a football jersey or a cheerleading outfit.”
You looked at him again, head tilting to the side slightly, maybe just a little pleased. “Good, you’re catching on. You just might survive, Seokjin. Anyway, I have class in five minutes and so do you.”
“Right.” He hesitated, fingers playing with the strap of his backpack. Maybe he wasn’t actually that great with people, or maybe he wasn’t used to getting help from others. “Thank you for doing this.”
Something inside you softened a little, but you shook it away instantly. Being softhearted, you’d learned, didn’t get you anywhere. “There’s no need to thank me. I’m just in it for the credits.”
He looked at you, a grin forming on his lips. “I don’t know if I completely believe that. You didn’t just show me around, you genuinely gave me advice.”
“It was part of the tour package,” you said, shrugging nonchalantly. “And I’d hate to see you get eaten alive on your first day. That usually doesn’t happen until after the first week.”
“Wow, thank god you do these guides then,” he said sarcastically before his expression turned more solemn, uncertain, maybe even a little hopeful. “Maybe I’ll see you around?”
You gave him a half smile and a shrug before turning to start down the hallway.

Lunch period was probably one of your least favourite times of the day. It shouldn’t have been since it was an hour break from classes. But it was a time where half of the students at Sky gathered in the cafeteria; the other half would have their lunch at a different time. Basically, it was a time where you had to be forced into the same room as your former friends, who you’d rather never see again. The only thing that could get you through it was having Sana by your side.
“Have you seen the new kid?” she was saying, maybe to you or maybe to the boy beside her also at your table. His name was Li-on, a mutual friend of yours and Sana’s from her friend group.
Li-on was busy stuffing meat from his tray into his mouth with his chopsticks but managed an incredulous expression. “Don’t tell me you’re listening to the rumours going around the academy.”
Sana scowled, whacking his shoulder. “I am not. I know how twisted rumours can get at this place.”
You noticed her look at you from the corner of your eye, but pretended not to. Instead your attention remained on your bowl of soup. “Why, what interesting things have you heard?”
“Well, a few things,” she admitted. “But that’s not important. Don’t you think it’s interesting how he just showed up, after the year has already started?”
“Why, is he not allowed to want to receive an education?” you asked dryly.
She shot you a look. “That’s not what I meant. You guys know how Sky is, how the headmaster is. They’re so stingy when it comes to accepting new students, especially after the year has already begun.”
Li-on finished chewing his food and gave her a thoughtful glance. “That is true...”
Sana nodded, appreciative of the acknowledgment. “What I’m saying is there must be something special about him.”
A short chuckle left you. “Yeah, he’s loaded.”
“Something more than that.”
You didn’t want to think too much about it, but realized that Sana had a point. The academy had criteria for accepting students, and were very strict about new students any time throughout the year. It just didn’t fit their reputation. How did Seokjin end up here?
Breaking your train of thought was a set of eyes you felt on you from across the room. You already had a hunch of who it was and tried your best to ignore it, but found yourself giving in. The boy signalled to the doors with a nod of his head.
You wanted to shake your head. But then you sighed and a minute later got up from your seat, only for a hand to stop you. By her expression, Sana had noticed that small exchange of glances. “What the hell are you doing?”
“Going to the bathroom,” you lied despite knowing there was no use.
Sana pulled your arm as you tried to leave. Li-on must’ve sensed the sudden tension as he looked between the two of you, but he didn’t say anything. “Are you really going to talk to him?”
“What am I supposed to do?” you said. “I can’t just keep avoiding him for the rest of my life.”
“Um, you can, actually. I do it all the time!”
“Sana.”
“Look,” the pink haired girl said seriously now, “the last time you two talked, it didn’t end well.“
“The difference is that I don’t have anything to lose this time where it concerns him.” Something about the truth in that startled you in a similar way it startled Sana.
She released her grip on you. “Fine. But if you’re not back in five minutes, I’m going after you.”
The concern in her voice had you sending her a small smile. Then you were making your way to the hallway outside, the rest of the cafeteria too loud and invested in their own world to notice the two people who walked out at around the same time.
“What do you want?” you said, not giving the chance for an uncomfortable silence or avoiding the subject.
Min-hyuk didn’t appear to be so taken aback by your bluntness. “How have you been, Y/N?” he asked almost quietly.
You wanted to laugh. “That’s what you wanted to talk about. How have I been? You’ve got to be fucking joking—“
“I know it sounds to hard to believe but—“
“Don’t say something stupid like you still care,” you said sharply.
He paused and you took a moment to study him. He looked nearly the same as you remember. Oak brown hair reaching his forehead, framing his angular facial features, something that had people stopping and giving him double takes— it had you doing the same once upon a time. But that was a different time.
“I’m sorry for the way things ended,” he spoke at last, and you wish he hadn’t. “If you won’t believe me for anything else, at least believe that.”
I want to, you thought with a desperation that had you hating yourself for feeling even for a second. You didn’t realize until now how much you would’ve liked to go back in time before things had become this way. But how could do so easily forget everything that had happened in between?
“I did believe you, Min-hyuk,” you said. “I trusted you. And you made me regret even that.”
“Wait—“ His hand shot out to stop you from walking past him. When you glanced down at it, he retracted it immediately. “I just... I don’t want things to be this way. We used to be so close—“
There was pang in your chest at the words. Of course, you remembered being that close. What hurt more was trying to forget it all. “If you’re looking for a shoulder to cry on, maybe you should ask your girlfriend.”
“What’s going on here?”
Perfect, you thought. Of course he has to show up.
Eun-ho was one of Min-hyuk’s closest friend, both part of the academy’s football team. You’d never liked him despite being in the same friend group. His arrogance and ability to make crude, insensitive remarks on things that didn’t concern him were unbearable; you wondered how Min-hyuk could tolerate it sometimes.
Eun-ho’s face broke out into a vexatious smile that you didn’t trust one bit. “Y/N…” If you hated anything more than his mere presence, it was the way he said your name. “It’s been a while, hasn’t it?”
You gave him your own icy, sarcastic smile. “Not long enough, Eun-ho.”
He chuckled. “Wow, did you somehow get even more feisty?”
Min-hyuk made an annoyed sound, throwing off the arm he had around him. “Really, Eun-ho?”
“What? It’s true what they say then, isn’t it? It’s the quiet ones you have to watch out for. I bet you were actually wild in bed.”
As he laughed at his own joke, Min-hyuk gave him a shove. While you felt anger and annoyance start to simmer under your skin, you weren’t surprised. Eun-ho was probably waiting to get to talk to you like this.
“You’re still as insecure as ever, aren’t you?” you spoke. “Talking shit about everyone because what else do you know? You know, the entire time I used to wonder how everyone managed to put up with your bullshit. I’m relieved I don’t have to anymore.”
His eyes narrowed, jaw clenching now that you were fighting back. Maybe before you put up with everything he used to say and do, internalizing the emotions you felt and the words you wanted to throw at him, but not anymore. You opened your mouth again, ready to keep going, ready to say everything you should’ve said a long time ago, when suddenly there was a hand on your shoulder.
“Come on, Y/N,” Sana said, throwing a brief glare at the two boys. But her focus was mainly on you. “This isn’t worth your time.”
You relaxed at her words, ready to leave when Eun-ho called your name again. “—that’s right, you were always too fucking scared to face the truth, blaming everyone but yourself. Why do you think Min-hyuk left you? Why your own mother doesn’t give a damn about you, why your brother’s not around. They all saw that you for what you were. A crazy little bitch—“
The next thing you knew, everything was red. Heat was crawling over your skin, so much that you felt like smoke would leave your ears at any second. Anger was rising inside you, anger you hadn’t felt in a long time, and you didn’t want to stop it anymore.
Beside you, Sana was saying something, tugging at your sleeve urgently but it was all faint, tuned out and staticky like shifting between radio signals. You pushed her aside as you moved forward.
Min-hyuk was glaring at his friend, but Eun-ho— he had the audacity to be grinning like a child who’d won a prize. It was like a rope snapping,  and suddenly your fist swung at his jaw. The feeling of your knuckles connecting with bone was something you knew was going to leave your hand with a dull ache, but it was satisfying as hell.
“Miss Y/L/N.”
You turned around to see the headmaster standing before you, not looking impressed.
Well, shit.

~Together~
-A DystiopianTale Errink prequel-
*Chapter 1: So.. Who are you?*
Ink: age 10
Error: age 11
“Remember, you need to stay on our street, honey.”
Ink looked up from tying his shoes; a wide smile was plastered across his round face, the gap between his two front teeth in full view for anyone to see, “I know mommy! I won’t forget!”
The young skeleton’s mother gently rubbed the top of his head, smiling warmly. “Come home right away if someone starts acting weird, ok? We don’t want something bad to happen..”
“I’ll be fine, mom! I’m 10 years old, I can play outside on my own now!”
“I know.. I know.” Winter Agate, Ink’s mom, laughed gently and kneeled in front of her son. “But you’re still my little boy, and I want you to be safe.” Placing a hand on Ink’s face, she rubbed his cheek with her thumb in a comforting manner.
The skeleton pushed his mother’s hand away, a pout on his ‘lips’. He was a big boy now, he didn’t need to be treated like a baby! “Can I go now?”
It was a sunny Thursday in BlightView and Ink, having gotten home about half an hour ago from school, was antsy to get outside and play; even if he’d be doing it alone.
Winter laughed softly again, adjusting her son’s backpack straps on his shoulders. “Alright, go have fun my little goof-ball.”
Ink gave a small hop of excitement, his left eye shifting into a yellow star. He happily skipped to the door and gave his mother a small wave before leaving the house.
A slight breeze hit him as he walked outside and he smiled up at the blue sky. Just as the small skeleton was about to walk down the steps of his home, he noticed a blur of movement in the corner of his eye.
Kneeling beside the house next to Ink’s was another skeleton. He appeared to be a bit bigger than Ink, but they were probably close to the same age. What really stood out to Ink was the colour of his bones and his eyes. His bones were a deep ebony, and he had light blue stripes starting at the bottom of his red eye sockets that ran to the bottom of his face; and then there were his eyes; both were yellow, but his left eye had a small blue pupil in the middle. Ink wondered briefly if this skeleton’s eyes could change like his own. He was holding a small stick in one of his fists, and he was staring up at Ink intently.
Now, usually Ink was fine with talking to people - not many of his classmates talked to him in the first place - but there was something about this monster that made him feel nervous. It was a weird feeling, and a part of him was scared of it.
He decided he’d worry about the weird feeling when he was older; until then, he’d just ignore it.
“What are you doing?” He meant to ask who the boy was, but blurted out the other question, referring to the stick in the boy’s hand, instead.
The skeleton - who Ink was realizing looked oddly familiar - stood up, frowning. “It’s none of your business!”
Ink pouted, hopping down the stairs to get a better look at the monster; he’d been right about the black skeleton being bigger. There was a small band aid on the bridge of the skeleton’s ‘nose’ and there was something so familiar about him…
Ink suddenly gasped, shocking the ebony skeleton to the point of making him take a step back. “I know you!!” Ink exclaimed, his left eye changing into an exclamation mark. “You’re the new kid in my class! Your name is… ummm… Error! Your name is error, right?”
The boy, Error, stared at Ink with a shocked expression. Ink could probably guess why; Error was always very quiet in class and Ink couldn’t think of a time where he’d heard Error talk in class. Except for maybe that first day he came, when their teacher made him introduce himself to the class. They didn’t sit near each other: Ink was near the back, while Error was at the front due to eyesight issues (if Ink was remembering correctly). Much like him, Error also appeared to not have any friends. He was always alone during recess or lunch time - if you asked Ink, it almost looked like the monster was actively avoiding talking to anyone. “I… Yeah, how do you know that?!”
“We’re in the same class! I sit at the back though, and we’ve never actually talked so.. That’s probably why you don’t recognize me!” The small monster let out a chuckle, and Error briskly looked him up and down, eyebrows furrowing.
“Hm...now that you say it; you do look familiar. Ink, right?”
A burst of joy shot through Ink’s chest - Error remembered his name! Maybe this means they could be friends! “Yes! That’s me!”
There was a minute of silence where both boys just looked at each other. Error didn’t seem like the type who liked talking… No matter! Ink had plenty he could share! And many Questions!
“Why don’t you talk to anyone at school?” He debated asking about the stick his new almost-friend was still holding, but this ultimately seemed like the better choice: perhaps the other kids didn’t like Error either, maybe they were going through similar situations!
Unfortunately, Error didn’t seem very pleased by the question. He glared at the smaller skeleton. “Why do you care? It’s not like you talk to anyone either.”
“W-well, That’s not really my choice, and I thought maybe… you felt the same way..” Ink’s voice faded away, and he stared down at his feet. He had a feeling he’d already messed this up.
“What do you mean it’s not your choice? Just talk to other kids, it's not that hard.”
“I’ve tried that, no one likes me.” A strained smile appeared on his face as he looked back up to Error. “I thought you would have figured that out by now.” It wasn’t as if the other kids tried to hide their distaste for Ink, if anything they were incredibly vocal about it. Error had been at their school for a few weeks now, surely he’d have noticed something
… Or not, if the blank look on his face was any hint. “Oh, um, ok, so… you’re going to find out sooner or later, so i guess i might as well tell you now-”
“Tell me what?”
Ink took a deep breath. “I… don’t actually have real feelings?” Error gave him a bewildered look, so he continued: “So.. You know how souls will create a special kind of magic that lets people feel emotions? My soul can’t make that magic. No one really knows why.. I have to take medicine every morning that helps my soul create that magic.”
Ink waited for the disgust to cross Error’s face: he’d seen it before on the faces of his classmates, teachers, and even his own father before he’d disappeared. But the disgust never came. Instead, there was… interest, covered by a thin veil of confusion. “Really? Why doesn’t it? I’ve never heard of something like that happening?” He paused, thinking, then added: “Why does that make people not like you?”
“Um well. SOme people avoid me because they think it’s contagious, while other think i’m a freak, since I’m basically soulless. They don’t like my birthmarks either.. I don’t know why though.” He pointed to the back markings that covered most of his body.
“Oh.. That’s what those are?” He clucked his tongue, and sat down on the grass, patting the spot next to him. Ink sat next to him. “So you don’t have any friends?”
“No, not really.” He was beginning to feel a bit uncomfortable; why couldn’t they just talk about Error? Why did it have to be about him?
“That’s stupid.” Error grunted, looking down at his stick, brows furrowed in concentration. “I’ll be your friend.”
Ink’s body perked up from his hunched position. “Really?!”
The ebony skeleton just shrugged, giving Ink a small smile. “Sure. You seem like the only kid in our class worth knowing anyway.”
Ink clapped excitedly, practically jumping on the spot, making Error laugh, sending another wave of glee though the smaller monster. “Oh! So why do you have a stick?”
His new friend hesitated for a moment before saying: “I was going to practice my magic. Dad doesn’t like it when I do it inside so I usually go to the backyard.”
“You’re allowed to do it alone? Mommy says i need supervision.”
“My parents don’t care.” He said this in a way that made it obvious that he did not want to talk about his parents at all. “You wanna come with me?”
“Well…”
“I could help you with your own powers.” A mischievous smile spread across his face, his eyes twinkling.
Ink knew he should say no, but.. He did like the idea of learning new things, and his mom didn’t seem too keen on letting him use magic, fearing he’d hurt himself.
“Ok!!”
*****
“You have to really concentrate if you want to make something like a bone.”
Ink nodded, pursing his lips as the magic ‘bone’ wavered in his hands, before completely dispersering. The skeleton huffed in annoyance.
Error had led them both to the back of his house. There wasn’t much in the backyard; just a table and a few chairs. The two boys were gathered around the large tree that sprouted in the center of the yard; Error had tied up multiple sticks and a few empty bottles to one of the lower branches with some strings that he’d somehow made.
Ink hoped he’d teach him how he did the strings thing.
“You almost got it that time.” Error was tossing the bone he managed to create - within a matter of seconds, much to Ink’s displeasure.
“How are you so good at that?”
“At what? Magic?” He shrugged, looking at the conjured bone in his hand, letting it fade away. “I don’t know. I’ve had a lot more time to practice than you. Plus, I’m older, so...”
“Only By 6 months!!” Ink whined, sticking his tongue out at his friend.
Error snorted, and rolled his eyes playfully. “You’ll get there eventually. We just gotta keep practicing.”
Ink smiled widely and nodded. In the distance, he heard his mother call him.
“What was that?”
“My mom!” He rocked back on his heels. He couldn’t wait to tell his mom about his new friend! She’d be so happy for him! “I have to go home now.”
It was obvious to Ink that Error was trying to hide his disappointment: the way his smile twitched downwards for a second, and his eyes losing their happy shine were dead giveaways.
“Oh, ok.” He shoved his hands into his sweater pockets. “I should probably go inside too.”
“We’ll see each other tomorrow, right?”
“Uh-huh.”
“Yay!” Winter called out to Ink again, her voice covered in worry. “See you tomorrow then!” With a small wave, Ink ran off to his own home, leaving Error alone in his backyard.
For the first time, Error missed having someone with him.
*****
Ink decided that School is a lot more enjoyable when you have a friend. Sure, he liked going to class before hand, but when you actually had someone to talk to, it got a whole lot better.
Error was also be a lot more social than Ink thought: once you got him going, he was almost as chatty as Ink was.
Last night, after Ink came home and told his mom about Error, she went over to his place and made arrangements for their first playdate after school. Ink was absolutely ecstatic. It was the end of the day now, and Winter would be picking them up soon; both boys were packing up their things, Ink talking a mile a minute.
“Error Sona?” Their teacher, Ms. Opis, called from her desk at the back of the room. “Can you come here?”
“Are you in trouble?” Ink whispered.
“Nah, it’s probably just another ‘catch-up’ assignment. You know, since I wasn’t here for like, half of the year.” The small skeleton hummed, still a bit worried. The last thing he wanted was for his friend to get in trouble! “Geez, don’t look so worried Ink, it’s not going to be anything bad. Just wait for me outside, yeah? I won’t be long.”
“Um.. ok, i’ll meet you out there then?” Error gave him a thumbs up. Ink wandered out of the school and into the sunlight. It was hot today, uncomfortably so. A group of kids, whom Ink recognized, were gathered around the entrance. All three of them had teased the poor boy about his soul and markings. The first one, Aria, was easily the calmest of the three - she’d still make fun of Ink, but really wasn’t all that vicious. Next, there was Nessues, a large monster who, in Ink’s opinon, was pretty stupid. And last there was the Bylk, the ‘leader’ of the group, and by far the worst out of them all. He was always the first to throw a punch if it came to it. It seemed as if he got some kind of sick joy from hurting others, especially if it was Ink.
“Well, looky who it is. The little freak has arrived!” Bylk called, his gang surrounding him, like a pack of wild animals hunting their prey.
“... What do you want?” Ink had managed to go all day without any teasing, and he’d been hoping to keep it that way.
“We’re just trying to help you!” Aria chirped, her voice sickenly sweet.
All three of the kids held up markers, wicked grins on their face. Bylk sneered. “We wanted to give you these! Black’s so boring, we figured you could at least brighten up those ugly marks this way!”
Markers were thrown at Ink from all around him, he yelped and shrank to his knees, covering his face. “What’s that? Not even a little ‘thank you’?” There was a swift kick to his left side, the skeleton cried out in pain, falling over to his side. “So it’s ugly and ungrateful!”
One of them punched him, aiming for his head. He managed to protect his skull, but he’d definitely have a bruise on his arm.
Then there was a kick to his spine.
And one to his ribs.
Tears streamed from Ink’s eye sockets as he begged the three monsters to stop.
And then it did.
There was a loud grunt - it sounding like it came from Nessues. Slowly, the skeleton moved his arms away from his head, uncurling himself from the ball he had made; his vision was blurry from his tears. Sniffing, he whipped them away. Blyk and Aria had their backs to Ink, and Nessues was a few feet away, sitting on the ground, rubbing the back of his head. Blue strings loosely hung off of him, and led in a trail to Error.
A very angry Error.
His fists were clenched, and his left eye shone a bright blue, and he was glaring daggers at the two kids still in front of Ink.
“Get away from him.”
Silence hung in the air, thick with tension. Then Bylk laughed.
“Oh god, seriously?! You’re the one hanging out with this freak?!”
Error took a step towards them, the air around him buzzed with his magic. Aria stepped away, and Nessues stood back up, taking his place next to the ‘gang’s’ leader. “I said, get. Away. From. Him!”
“Or what?!” The bullies’ magic buzzed to life. “You’re outnumbered blackberry.”
Error snapped. His hands rose swiftly, wrapping his strings around Bylk’s arms and yanking him forward. The griffin-like monster stumbled, and Error took that time to come up to him, his fist colliding roughly against the side of the other’s face. Bylk fell backwards, crashing against the concrete. Nessues took a swipe at the skeleton while he was focused on the griffin, hitting him against his nose. Error stumbled back, wiping at his now bloody nose. He was breathing heavily, and Ink could see the wrath in his eye sockets.
Error was good at magic, probably the best in the class. But he wouldn’t be able to keep it up for a very long time, especially when it was one against two. “Stop it!” His voice cracked mid sentence, more tears forming in his eyes.
“SHUT UP!” Bylk screamed, turning to look at Ink who was still on the ground.
That was a bad idea.
Error slammed his body into Bylk’s, knocking him onto his back with Error on top of him; his fists coming down on the monster, hard. The griffin clawed and smacked him, attempting anything to get the angry skeleton off of him. Nessues was quick to grab one of Error’s arms, trying to pry him away, only to get pushed off as magic bones barely missed him. Ink was screaming at Error to stop, but he couldn’t hear himself, everything was a blur.
It was too much.
Error was bleeding.
Bylk was sobbing.
Ink curled back up into a ball, breathing heavy, his eyes stinging from his tears.
He wasn’t sure how long he stayed like that, but he finally felt a hand gingerly touch his shoulder. Ink jolted, sitting up straight and scooting away. Error kneeled in front of him, worry covering his features.
His nose was still bleeding, and some of his blood was smeared along is upper ‘lip’, there were scratches along his cheeks, and he’d have a black eye in the morning. His clothes were dirty, but it didn’t seem like anything was ripped. “Are you ok?” His voice was soft, the complete opposite of how it had sounded just a few minutes ago.
Tears overflowed Ink’s eyes again, and he wrapped his arms around Error, knocking the other boy onto his butt. “Why did you do that?! You dummy!”
“They were hurting you?”
“SO?! LOok at yourself, Error! They could have really hurt you! Why didn’t you just get a teacher or something?!”
“Dunno. I just reacted … And I’m fine, don’t worry about me.” He pushed the other skeleton off of him, wiping his bloody nose against his sleeve.
“You’re bleeding! You’re not fine! WHat if they killed YOu?!”
“That’s impossible.”
Ink huffed, crossing his arms. “You make no sense… we need to get you to my mom, she’ll help you, she’s a nurse!” He stood, and wobbled on his legs, unsteady. Error was next to him almost instantly, helping him regain his balance.
“Ink?”
“What?” The younger of the two boys pulled on the older one’s sleeve, eager to get him to his mother.
“I did it because you’re my friend”
“... huh?”
“I did it because we’re friends.” He paused, talking Ink’s hand. “And as your friend. I promise I won’t let anyone hurt you.”
Why couldn’t Error walk faster?! “You can’t do that-”
“I just did.”
Ink huffed, his mom’s vehicle coming into view. “I don’t want you getting hurt, dummy.”
Error didn’t respond to that as Winter came rushing to them, but later the ebony skeleton had whispered: “I don’t mind getting hurt if it means you’ll be safe. I promise to protect you.”
Ink had no idea how much that promise meant to his friend.
But he’d figure it out.
Eventually.

Do you have any thoughts on common personalities for other colors? I think it'd be fun and fun for others like myself to try making similar color trope based teams, if you wouldn't mind since it was your idea first? The idea of parodying a series is fun alongside the challenge of making a whole team fit a specific mold of personality and tropes while also preventing them from being totally identical sounds really fun!
This turned out to be a lot more difficult question than I originally expected, and in the end I’m not sure if I know a proper answer. Or at least I can’t think of any other colour+personality combo that’s as common as the “the energetic, friendly, helpful etc. main character is pink”. But there are some common colour-coded traits at least:
After pink I’d say that the colour with the most consistent personality types is purple. I associate purple with dark magical girls, and in general characters who are lone wolves and whose character arc involves learning the power of friendship and teamwork (though none of Precure’s past-villain-Cures are purple…) Even if the character isn’t outright against friendships and joins the team without a fuss I still see the purple girls as the least likely to be super chummy and affectionate. I’d also often find them to be elegant, and more reserved and smart, and maybe secretive. The loud and dumb sporty ray of sunshine who befriends everyone in five seconds is a character I last expect to be purple.
Tumblr media
Yellow is what I see as the opposite of purple. The sunny and open and friendly girl. What separates the yellows from pinks  is that I feel with the yellows it isn’t as exaggerated as much how energetic and friendly they are, and also that the pinks are more likely to be naive while yellows know what they’re doing better. Big sister and motherly types fit well here. Alternatively if the pink main character isn’t over-the-top cheery I can imagine the yellow girl could be the team’s super peppy little sister.
Tumblr media
With blue it starts to be more varied, but I’d say that you can find mature, “cool”, smart, competent and confident girls here. A character like that I also associate with more quiet and composed behaviour or maybe even shyness. What sets them apart from the elegant and collected image of the purples is the lack of hostility/lone wolf tendencies, while the difference to the yellows’ self-sufficient nature is that I’d imagine the yellow girl to be the senpai who warmly invites you to bake cookies with her, while the blue girl is the senpai who politely greets you with a smile but continues on her merry way to archery practice or modeling session or whatever activity it is that she excels at. Lastly, with the blues, water and ice powers galore.
Tumblr media
Also if there is a girl with any level of tomboyishness, blue is a fairly likely colour choice.
Tumblr media
Then there’s green and red/orange, but with them it gets harder for me to come up with a common theme, since whenever I can think of a couple of characters to go with a specific personality I can think of as many who are the opposite. Maybe fire themes for red?
But for a mono-colour team centered around playing with the colour-coded tropes I’d say that my first recommendation would be purple, because I find it has the most defined personality types and for the added benefit the best possibilities for an actual story and conflict. What happens when a bunch of unsociable girls with an edgy backstory have to form a team?

The Sunflower (Ben Hardy x First POV!Reader)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Ben Hardy x First POV!Reader Genre: Angst Rating: PG Length: 3427 words Summary: You and Ben meet again years after you two graduated school. Additional disclaimer: Quotes in the image above are from Meredith T. Taylor and Rupi Kaur's Milk and Honey. A/N: So. I'd wanted to write angst for a while now because I'd written so much fluff lately and this is what came to mind. Ben seemed perfect for it, too. I hope y'all don't mind the POV change; I felt like it would have so much more impact this way. Enjoy! And please comment—it always makes my day! :) Special thanks to @a--kind--of--magic for giving your input! ILY!

seventeen college au valentine’s date
(with member of your choice!)
Tumblr media
so a little backstory
you and him are in the same art class
and you both always make these little doodles that take just a minute while you do other work
they were always super cute and to be honest it made you find him super cute
long story short things kept happening and u two ended up with crushes on each other hehe
and you found out you liked each other hehehe
just one day before it was valentine’s day he got to class before you
which he was very relieved about
and tucked his little doodle for you under a tin of markers that were at your spot
when you got to class you saw the corner of paper sticking out and u were like
“oh wow i wonder who could have done this”
super sarcasm
you look around for him though but don’t see him anywhere
he was hiding behind a corner looking at u kind of sneaky
to see your reaction
but he was too shy to like be beside you when you looked at the doodle
when you moved the tin off of it and picked it up
and unfolded it
you saw that the drawing was of you and him
and you were both holding this huge candy heart with equally huge smiles
and on the heart had the words “be mine?”
but in the bottom corner of the paper was another drawing
much smaller
of you both eating the candy heart because why let it go to waste
and you laugh then smile
when he sees you laugh he’s like hooo boy okay yes this is good
and he comes up to you finally
you’re actually so intrigued at how good the drawing is though it isn’t a normal doodle and you jump when he puts his hands on your shoulders
so you turn around and you’re smiling super wide and he’s smiling super wide and you’re like aWWWWW and hug him super tight
the other students in the room were going awww too
and some were ignoring u too but hey that’s okay
in response to the “be mine?” on the heart you say “yes do you even have to ask !!!”
he’s like i wasn’t sure! you can’t blame me! you play footsies under the table with the guy that sits across from us
you’re like uh do u really think that means he’s my boyfriend or something??
he’s like yeah
and you’re like hhahhaha !!! and he’s like ahaah
then the teacher is like okay kids sit down
and class starts
later on after school you stay a couple extra minutes to finish your assignment because you were almost done!! thankfully art was last class of the day for you
he stays with you of course
after a little while it was just you and him left because the other students all rushed outta there and the teacher left to go bake some clay
you bring up the footsies thing again and you start ranting
not angry ranting but just ranting nonstop
and he literally out of nowhere was like hey...and pecks your lips real quick so you stop talking
you actually gasp and put your pencil crayon down before leaning and kissing him back but on the cheek
he blushes SO HARD
he grabs your hand and bag and drawing and just pulls u out of the room and ur like WHAT are you doing
he doesn’t say anything and pulls you to the library
and sits at a secluded table and it’s so sosoososooo sweet
he just holds your hand and plays with your fingers and he just asks about your day and kind of mumbles things sometimes that u ask him to repeat
and it’s always something like “oh.. i just said you look cute when you make that face..”
the smile and faint blush never leaves his face as you guys talk with each other.. until one of the library workers is like hey we’re closing get out
now its an hour and a half since school ended and u guys are lke woah what
but he’s still holding onto your hand and grabs your bag for u again and leads you outta there
and there’s nobody in the hallways so u guys just wander around in the school and keep talking
but soon your phone rings and ur like whoop! i know what that is gotta go home
and you pout because you love spending time with him…
but he’s like “no that face is too pretty to pout”
boom your mood is instantly brighter
and he just smiles because he Knows and he’s like alright which way
you’re like ????
he’s like which way to your home
and he obviously walks you home
of course before you open the door to go inside he kisses your forehead.. and he’s like I’ll see you tomorrow right?? it’s valentines day you better come to school :((
and you’re like yes of course i will see you tomorrow!! and he grins and winks and says “tomorrow it is then”
when you go inside and close the door you just sigh and squeal and that dork is jumping around as he walks away and hops all the way home wow he’s such a happy boy
so tomorrow comes aka ~valentine’s day~
art class is right in the morning
and neither of you have afternoon classes !!
he got up early to look good for u.. he did his hair how you like it and wore a button up shirt with these nice black pants ooo
he got you candy hearts like the drawing and some flowers but shh you don’t know yet
also he drew another picture last night but wait for that ok
he came early because he wanted to be there before you again
he’s checking his hair and breath and making sure his shirt is all nicely resting with no wrinkles or anything
and he’s waiting in the art room beside the door when you come in
you don’t see him n hes like yes my plan worked
he silently follows you and waits until you sit down and whispers “happy valentine’s day~~” and holds the flowers and candy and folded drawing out in front of you and ur like WOAHH
OH BOY
HE PUTS ALL THE STUFF ON YOUR TABLE AND LITERALLY JUST. SPINS YOUR CHAIR
and kiss e s you
and it’s short but passionate and like it sucked the life out of you that was so unexpected
and he pulls back at looks at you all dazed and smiles
both of you are so red
he turns your chair back around and tucks you in before he takes his seat next to you and points to the flowers because he doesn’t want you looking at him he is TOO SHY
“do you like them?? they aren’t valentine colours but they reminded me of you~” because there’s yellow flowers mixed with the pink
and inside u are a total mess like crying but a good cry with heart eyes..
he’s giggling like crazy and you unfold the drawing finally and this boy
“im glad you like the flowers because–”
he drew your faces from side angles and your noses are touching and like the other drawing you both have those big scrunchy smiles
and you CANT you just hug him so tight and wrap your legs around him too because your chairs are against each other like one long chair and just
the other students coming in now are all smiley and some “awww” at you guys and you pull away but
he opens the candy container thing and picks one and brings it up for you to read before putting it in your hand
it’s one that said “be mine?”
more people are smiling and cooing at you guys and you hide your beet red face
he hides his face too but sees you doing it still and whispers in your ear
“you okay?”
you nod but still hide your face and he rubs your back and leans his head on the table right beside yours and hes trying to look at you
“lemme see that pretty face? pleeease?”
soon enough when class starts though he goes and gets the paints and brushes you always use & your project and brings everything to you
he gets to work but wraps his leggies around yours and you’re like ??? but he just keeps doing his own thing
u let it happen no questions just smiles
at the end of class he cleans up all his and your stuff for you too :’)
and you assume he just didn’t bring a bag or anything today because he has nothing with him
he just picks up all of your stuff and says
“we’re going out to get lunch today!”
and you’re just like ok sunshine!
he’s like o no i should be calling you that...
so you’re like “well why didn’t you”
“dang u right.. i’m sorry prince/ss” and he looks around once again seeing practically nobody in the room then kisses your cheeks like 10 times
all this luck of being nearly alone in a public place wow
you guys go to this small casual restaurant about a block away
you to pick a table as he orders and pays in advance because he knows it’s a good place they never mess up
you come back and ask “what did you order for us?”
he smiles at the word “us” and looks down shyly
doesn’t respond and picks up where you left off from the conversation after school yesterday
he lightly takes hold of your hand and stares at you so admiringly as you talk
the food all comes soon and ok are you ready
spring rolls with the sauce in a heart shaped dish
sandwiches cut in the shape of a heart
red drink with heart straw
dessert was a cupcake with pink icing and a bit of ice cream in the shape of a heart too
and you were like wo w they’re really in the valentine’s spirit!! and he was like hehe yeah
but really he had to request it and pay extra for all that but it was worth it because he loved when you giggled and smiled so much
when you guys finish eating and talking and get up
and when you’re at the door just about to leave the waiter comes up with one last thing
a heart balloon!! and hands it to you and u look at your boy
he shrugs and he’s like idk where that came from
you’re like well i do you goober and peck his lips and he’s like heHEEe
he caresses your cheek and kisses you back but you pull away kind of quickly because this is a public place
after leaving the restaurant you guys just walk around the neighbourhood talking and laughing and sneaking lil kissies in here and there
you end up laying in the field by your school and again luck is on your side because nobody else is out there and it’s a bit chilly but sunny and nice
so it’s just you guys on the grass
holding hands and he sings this little song he made for you after getting over his shyness about it
and it makes you fall so much harder
you tied the balloon to your wrist but somehow it came undone
and at one point the balloon flies up and you yell !! and he jumps up and you do too and jump onto his back and you touch the ribbon but it gets away :((
you huff and you’re so sad and lay limp on his back n in a soft voice he’s like “baby it’s okay hey it’s okay”
extra cuddles and kisses as u pretend to stay sad and say it was the most special balloon because he got it for you
tickles you a little so you laugh and man
keeps kissing u so much he can not get enough
they’re always so soft and warm just so delicate
it’s overwhelming because you’ve never really kissed before and now so many in one day !!! but it’s exciting!!
at one point you’re kind of on top of him attacking him in kisses to “get back” at him n you bring your hands up for better balance and end up tickling his sides and he jumps
you’re like >:))
continue the tickling and “revenge” kisses and omg
even though he’s laughing so hard all you hear is silence because you’re just focused on his face and how purely happy he seems and it’s like wow.. i caused that
but you end up laying side by side fiddling with each others fingers
you see the dot of the balloon way up in the clear sky
you two just spend hours at the field sitting and talking and sometimes getting up and running away from the other as they threatened to tickle you
soon enough it’s already getting dark?? you two were so caught up in each other that you didn’t even realize it
he thought dinner plans were too formal as you two just became a couple and you already went on the cute lunch date !! so he walked you home before it got too dark
you started rubbing your arms because you got cold
you had a jacket on already but he put his coat over your shoulders as well
when he dropped you off he got a little pouty
and you kissed him to make him smile again
of course he did
and of course he held your hands as he looked at you while you talked
he stood outside the door with you for a long time but then you got too cold and got a shiver
and he was like oh no okay go inside
he walked home in the dark and he was a little scared but that didn’t matter because he was so head over heels for you

YES I'LL BE YOUR FIRST EMOJI ANON I'll be 🌻 because your name gives me sunny vibes and the sunflower is a very pretty flower
OK SO, I don't play videogames but your question seemed very specific. Do you? If yes, what games do you usually play? Tell me about it!
Also my favourite colour is yellow teehee it's just full of joy and sparkling and it gives me good vibes. What's yours?
Trying to pick something to be is very hard tbh, I have undiagnosed ADHD and I switch career paths every three months... I've gone through astrophysics, psychology, sociology, FBI career (you guess it, because of criminal minds if course), politician and teacher! Right now I'd just like a job that fullfills me (and that makes me gain a lot of money if possible). My main wish is to know as much as possible about anything, so if money wasn't a problem I'd take as many degrees as possible (one of my big interests right now is philosophy, it's a very beautiful subject). Do you have anything in mind? What would you be?
Ily -🌻
Yay, my first anon! <33 Also, amazing emoji choice 10/10
Yes, I do play video games! Not a lot recently, since I’ve been writing more (and scrolling and scrolling forever on Tumblr). But when I play, I really enjoy Animal Crossing, The Sims 4, Phasmophobia, Among Us, and the Dragon Age games. Actually, my first ever Tumblr blog (a long long time ago) was a Dragon Age blog. Does it still exist? Maybe, I have no clue lol.
My favorite color is also yellow! Right now, anyways. It’s always been blue since I was a kid, but as I’ve gotten older yellow has just really grown on me. I also love pastel pinks and purples a lot (which I didn’t allow myself as a kid because they were too “girly” and I wanted to be a tom-boy).
Oh jeez, having ADHD can really be hard. But ALL of those things are super amazing career paths, and SUPER cool! You’ll have to work really hard to get into any of those things, but I think you can do it! Personally, I hope to be a professional Young Adult author someday. I have a story I’ve been working on since I was about 14/15 years old, and I really want to bring it to life. Will it be the next Harry Potter? Probably not, but I hope that it does well enough that it inspires people to write and draw about the world and characters in it <3
I love psychology tho, and I’m currently planning on going back to school to study it for fun. I’ll also be taking ASL classes, because why not?
Anyways, thank you for the ask! Sorry it took me a while to reply, lol, it was A LOT of typing for me haha. ILY too! <33

Not Falling For Your ‘Jeojangs’
Wanna One’s Park Jihoon X Reader [fem ver] Lee Daehwi ver Fluff Word count: 3270 • as much as you love your best friend, Park Jihoon, you’re not super impressed by his job choice for the summer • and the fact that his new job involves interacting with other customers in the most heart racing manner • but he’s your best friend? That’s all he’ll ever be, right? ;) hey anon, I hope you still like this even though I added bff - bf even though it wasn’t mentioned by you but I had to come up with a plot. ( I am so cliche I shld quit ) You can re request when my request box opens again! Thank you, anon. - admin L __________ When your best friend - whom you had known since middle school and of nine years - Park Jihoon, told you that he applied for a job at the new flower boy cafe near your house, you laughed and told him not to joke about things like that. You nearly shoved him off his bed when he said he was serious about the matter. “What? Y/N, you don’t think I’ll make a good flower boy?” He exclaimed, mildly offended. “Yah! All my hyungs call me the flower boy.” “Full offence but Sungwoon is the flower boy,” you replied, pulling up your phone to show Jihoon photos from Sungwoon’s latest photo shoot. “I mean, look at that. This is pictorial evidence. How are you the main flower boy? Once, you wore a yellow t-shirt and daisy patterned pants. I think that’s the closest-” “Okay! Thanks for the information,” Jihoon shouted, the tips of his ears going red when you brought up his dark past and terrible fashion sense. “Okay, but seriously, why do you want to work there? Didn’t you say you were traveling for this break?” You took a sip of Jihoon’s drink before planting the bottle back on his bedside table. Your tongue swiped over your bottom lip and Jihoon caught that, he shifted his gaze as heat rose to his face.
“I mean, I am but it’s only for a week so I have the rest of the time to go work and earn some money. What about you, what’s my favourite girl going to do?” He reached for his drink but you swiftly lifted it out of his reach. Jihoon wasn’t that tall. ( is he? idk, let’s just pretend you’re tall af too ) I’m his ‘favourite girl’. Why is my heart beating so fast because of that? I thought I moved on from my crush on him. Why do I still feel like this? Truthfully, you couldn’t move on. It seemed like there was no better guy than your best friend, at least in your school or even your neighbourhood. There wasn’t that… connection you found with Jihoon and it puzzled you. “Am I not your only girl?” You pointed out, drinking his drink again. Jihoon rolled his eyes but sighed and agreed. “It’s a good thing though, I can’t seem to click with anyone else.” He waddled across his bed to where you lounged and tried to snatch his bottled drink again. You tried to suppress the emotions rising within you. Y/N, calm down. Calm down. Don’t be like this. “Yah, the flower boy cafe is only going to get customers because you’re working there. The whole school has a crush on you, Jihoon. They’ll flock there because ‘Jihoon Oppa!’ is there,” you imitated a higher pitched squeal of a Freshman infatuated with Park Jihoon. Jihoon was not even the slightest bit impressed, in fact, he wrinkled his nose in disgust. “God, why am I even friends with you. Yah! You don’t even call me oppa, I’m older than you.” You blinked. “By like two months. It doesn’t count. Unless you’re into some kinky shit….then…..I gotta call Guanlin to come collect your ass.” Jihoon blushed tomato red and tossed a pillow at you. “Yah! Don’t do this to me!” He wailed dramatically. Going back to his question, you responded, “Well, probably not much. Maybe get work at my uncle’s flower shop nearby so I can feed your flower boy reputation.” It actually sounded like a decent idea, at least better than the original one which was lazing around your house and moping over Jihoon. Jihoon placed a hand on the small of your back comfortingly, smiling. “I just hope that this Summer will be filled with fun and good memories for us both. It’s our… tenth? summer spent as friends. Toast to that!” He made you laugh and you proceeded to pass his drink back to him. He frowned when you wrenched it back. “Can I get a kiss first?” You teased. “Come on. Practice your fan service, flower boy.” A pang shot through your chest at the thought of Jihoon kissing random people for his job. It’s his job, Y/N! No strings attached! It’s for his job, he has to if they request, you assured but it didn’t make you feel any better. Jihoon pressed a quick peck to your cheek and held out his hand for his drink. You passed it back to him reluctantly, fingers brushing and a million sparks ignited in you. “Are you staying for dinner? You know you’re always welcome here,” he grinned. Shaking your head and getting off from his bed, you replied, “No, I’m sorry. My parents want me back home.” It was a lie, they allowed you to stay simply because they were super close to the Park family too. Jihoon’s smile faltered but he nodded understandingly. “Okay, I’ll walk you back.” That, you couldn’t deny. … Ever since that day, you prayed that his application would be denied since half the high school’s population had also applied to work there but of course, the universe held something against you and Jihoon was one of the few successful applicants. It was two in the morning when he called you to tell you about the wonderful news. The worst part was that you had to pretend you weren’t breaking on the inside, maintaining for cheerful tone despite tears running down your face and onto your pillow. You felt silly for crying over such a filial matter but you couldn’t stop the tears. You spent nights thinking about his tender words and loving gazes directed towards you and now they would be for someone else. Not to mention any of his crazy aegyo. You hated it yet you wanted it. It was selfish, so to take things off your mind, you approached your aunt and uncle and asked if you could work for them at their flower shop. They happily agreed and worked things out with your parents. Your aunt patted your back. “Your cousin could learn a thing or two from you. All she wants to do this Summer is visit that new flower boy cafe,” she complained, shaking her head in disapproval. “She says her friend, Jihoon? Is working there and she’s going to support him but I don’t buy her lies.” Jihoon? Her friend? Puh-lease. You’re a Freshman, we are Juniors, stay in your league. “Oh. Jihoon is… actually my best friend so…” “Good lord! Please don’t mention her to him. She shouldn’t be thinking so much about boys ( charli XCX hurh hurh ) at such a young age. I doubt he would take interest in a Freshman anyways,” your aunt commented which drew a nod in agreement from you. But it was clear cut that people were already targeting your best friend’s heart and hopefully none of them shoot a bullseye. “I would, however, approve of you dating him though,” she said a while later. “It’d be cute.” “What? Me? Him?” You spluttered, large eyes growing wider in shock, nearly trimming a flower off of its stem. Your aunt nodded, beaming. “Yes, why not. I’ve seen the way you look at him and the way he looks at you. It’s cute, to be honest.” Reluctantly, you shook your head. “I don’t think so. Everyone likes him and I’m only his best friend….” you trailed off, talking about it only made you feel miserable. “Ahhh, that can change. I know you’re going to say something like ‘If he liked me, he would do something’ but no, who says he has to make the first move. It’s up to you, do what you want but you should. Y/N, remember, love can’t kill you.” ( life advice from yours truly™ ) … Great, just wonderful. You thought as you exited the shopping mall only to meet a downpour. ( sobs bc IOI )
It was the second week of the holidays and so far, all had been well. The only thing that stood in your way was the rain. See, your uncle had sent you to grab lunch from the mall nearby but you didn’t exactly foresee it raining on a sunny day like this one. Of course, the only time you needed an umbrella was the time you never had one. To make matters worse, it was Summer so you didn’t have a hoodie or anything remotely shielding with you. You were dressed in Summer attire and a gust of cold with made you shiver. Whatever, I can run through this. It irked you when your sneakers splashed into a puddle so you were suffering in this weather. Rain pelted heavily on you and soon, you were drenched from head to toe. Okay, what kind of weather is this? It’s supposed to be Summer! If only Jihoon was with me, he’d- No! Stop thinking about him! You dashed across the road and without even looking at the signboard, ducked under a colourful awning. Relieved you had found shelter, you checked your pockets for your phone. Only to find that it wasn’t there but left on the counter in your break room. A groan emitted from you and you sank to the floor, tucking your knees to your chest. Keep it together. Keep it together, Y/N. You’re okay now. It’s fine. You’re fine. You breathed in deeply before standing up, reading to make a couple more dashes through the storm back to the flower shop. What shop is this anyway? Is it new? I haven’t seen it before. You did a double take when you saw the sign and let out another series of wails. People passing by were wondering if they needed to call a priest for extortion. Of course, of course, it has to be the damn flower boy cafe. I hope Jihoon doesn’t see me. He’s probably- Damn these glass panels! You didn’t know whether to be happy or sink into despair when your eyes locked with familiar, large brown orbs. It was seconds before the front door burst open and Jihoon emerged, mouth hanging open in shock. “Y/N!” You smiled sheepishly, fully aware that your shirt was sticking to your body like second skin and your hair resembled that of a wet poodle. “Hi?” “Oh my god! What happened? Are you okay? Come inside!” He shouted above the pitter patter of the rain, bundling you up and practically shoving you inside the cafe. Ignoring all the curious stares, Jihoon yelled a few words to his co-workers as he pushed open the door to his break room and pulled you inside. He snatched a towel from Ha Sungwoon’s bag - because that boy has everything - and wrapped it around your shivering form. “T-thanks,” you stammered out, partially because of the cold, partially because of your close proximity. He passed you one of his hoodies from his locker, you supposed it was another one to add to your collections. Jihoon often called you to go shopping and whilst browsing for outerwear, he would rant endlessly about how his hoodies kept disappearing but he never noticed the fact that you wore a different one every time you were over at his place. He insisted it was his sasaeng fans, you smacked his arm lightly, shaking your head. “Why? Y/N, do you not think I’m popular enough to have fans? Believe me, I am. Daewhi told me that there’s a fan account for me on Instagram. Wanna see?” He argued, pulling up his Instagram account. That memory made you smile. Suddenly, you realised Jihoon had left and that you were all alone in the break room. You continued to towel dry yourself as best as you could, making a mental reminder to wash and return the towel to Sungwoon. If you dug deeper into his bag, you would find a hairdryer. You sighed and shook your head, wondering why he would need a hairdryer at work. … Outside, Jihoon was hurriedly preparing hot chocolate with extra whipped cream and marshmallows, just the strange way you liked it. Ong Seongwoo and Kim Jaewhan sniggered at his antics. “Y/N is a special girl to him. He would never do anything like this for anyone,” Jaehwan mused and Seongwoo agreed. Lee Daewhi raised his eyebrows when Jihoon charged the hot chocolate to his own credit card. “Hyung never really treats us to anything…Y/N must be really precious to him,” he murmured, Jaewhan and Seongwoo hummed in response, all curious about you. Bae Jinyoung grabbed Jihoon’s wrist just as he was about to leave with a tray of strawberry cake for a customer. “Are  you going to tell Y/N you like her?” Jihoon could only stare at his shoes. “I don’t know. I don’t want to ruin our friendship. Besides, she has been getting close to Guanlin recently.” Jinyoung rolled his eyes. “Y/N’s cousin has been ranting all over her blog that she spent nights crying over you and is pretty much in love with you. Do the right thing,” he hissed. Jihoon nodded but he couldn’t bring himself to. He liked you too much to ruin the close friendship he had with you. It hurts but if it’s for Y/N, I would bear with it. I can’t risk damaging our closeness and stopping her from entering into potential relationships. It isn’t that boys aren’t interested in her, she just seems to brush them off. So, that means that she probably has someone in mind. He set the plates down on the table neatly and turned to rush into the room but the customer grabbed his arm. “Oppa? Can you do some aegyo for me?” She asked. Upon request, Jihoon half-heartedly performed his ‘kku kka kaa’ with a fake smile but it elicited squeals of joy from the girl anyway. He didn’t realise the pair of glossy eyes watching him from behind a door. It isn’t a big deal, Y/N. Why are you getting so worked up over it. Your thoughts were interrupted by Jihoon’s entrance, you glanced up to have a proper look at him and nearly laughed. Sitting on his head was a gorgeous crown of flowers that you could easily replicate. “You look like a flower prince,” you blurted out without thinking twice. “What?” Jihoon blinked, not catching whatever you had said. “I said, this towel could use a rinse.” You gestured to Sungwoon’s damp towel that you were attempting to dry with his hairdryer. “Ahhh. It’s okay. I’ll take it home to wash. Oh, you look good in my hoodies, you can keep it I guess. Just return to me whenever,” he said, placing your mug of hot chocolate on the table. “Mhm. Thank you, it’s really good. Oh, I’m sorry! I’m probably disturbing your work and all!” You apologised, hands flying to cover your mouth. Jihoon smiled. “Nah. I’m about to knock off soon anyway.” Tell her! Just tell her! There were instances in that conversation where he nearly did but the words got stuck in his throat at the last minute. So, once the rain had cleared, he watched you walk back to the florist in his hoodie but without knowing the truth. Jinyoung was disappointed, to say the least. … The next time, you actually came willingly to the flower boy cafe. You felt extremely bad about that whole incident and decided to bring a bouquet of flowers for Jihoon to thank him. And a new flower crown. Simply because the ones he wore were fake and he deserved a better one. You also wanted to return Sungwoon his towel, it was pretty embarrassing you held onto it for the entire weekend. Ong Seongwoo was right at your service the second you entered the cafe even though you asked for Jihoon. He apologised and said that Jihoon was too busy with his tables. Seongwoo leaned closer., “Truthfully, it’s to get under his skin,” he whispered, chuckling. You took an immediate liking to Seongwoo already. Playing along, you hyped up his 'aegyo’ and jokes. He was a visual but also a gag. You were enjoying your time at the flower boy cafe more than you thought you would. You watched Lee Daewhi pretty much throw away his entire ego and reputation as THE president of Brand New High School’s renowned English Language Drama and Debate Society for a girl, it was entertaining, he was so smitten with her. Unlike Daewhi, Jihoon only noticed your presence when he raced past with multiple trays, he grinned but it fell when he saw Seongwoo approach with your orders. There wasn’t much he could do anyway. You sat in your plush armchair and read a book, slowly sipping your drink and munching on a couple of delicious cookies. Eventually, the hours passed and Jihoon was finally able to breathe. He approached your table, almost skipping towards you. “Y/N! You are saved in my heart!” ( park jeojang strikes ) You looked up from the page you were on and raised a perfectly plucked brow. “I’m not falling for your awful aegyo,” you shot back. I’ve fallen for the other things about you. You don’t need to use your aegyo on me. There’s so much more to you than just your looks. Jihoon pouted and made a crying action with his hands. “I’m hurt!” If he were in a cartoon, there would be a dark cloud hanging over his head. You gestured for him to come closer as you fished around in your bag for his new, fresh, flower crown. “Show me your best aeygo. I have a gift for you.” Jihoon formed finger hearts and brought them to his lips, kissing them and offering them to you. “I love you.” Stop it! You’re going to make me cry. I wish you meant it. You half smiled but slipped his fake flower crown off and replaced it with the one you slaved on. “It looks so much better on you,” you complimented. “How are you so good looking?” “What?” Jihoon used his hand to cup his ear. “I didn’t catch that.” You furrowed your brow. “I said Ong Seongwoo is good looking!” You yelled loud enough for Seongwoo to hear and he gladly sent a flying kiss your way. Jihoon huffed and frowned, clearly unimpressed with your answer but his expression changed to one of pure joy and surprise when you produced the bouquet. He plucked a small flower and tucked it into his pocket. “I-I just want to thank you for the other time…where I interrupted your work and all. Pretty…embarrassing of me,” you admitted, face turning red. Jihoon opened his mouth to respond but you clamped your hand over his lips. “J-just let me say something? I’ll let you talk later.” There’s no going back now. “I like you.” You confessed. “Like…more than a friend.” “I’m sorry, what?” Jihoon questioned, his jaw wide open. “Say that again.” Oh my god! He doesn’t like me back. You could feel your heart slowly starting to crack and you stifled tears. “I like Ong Seongwoo.” “She said she likes you, Park Jihoon!” Seongwoo and Sungwoon yelled before high-fiving each other. Daewhi almost squealed. You couldn’t help but allow the tears to flow. “I-I’m sorry-” “Don’t be. I like you too. Let’s date,” Jihoon admitted, grabbing your hands. “Y/N, don’t cry.” He dabbed a soft tissue to your face. “You’re saved in my-” “I didn’t fall for your jeojangs. I fell for you.” You hissed, mildly ashamed as he dried more tears. Jihoon’s grin only grew wider. “I know, that’s why I like you even more.”

Soft Tag
I was tagged by @autumniplier and I meant to do this yesterday but I foRGOT I’M SORRY
what’s your favourite song(s) to sing/hum?
ahh I think it depends what song I have stuck in my head at the time, but I really like All Time Low by Jon Bellion and lately I’ve been humming When The Day Met The Night by Panic at the Disco
what are your favourite flower/tree/plant (all 3 or whatever you have an answer to)
ahh this is tough because I’m allergic to most of these things, but I actually really really like Tiger Lilies! I think they’re my favorite flowers~
favourite colour(s)
definitely most shades of purple but I also really like yellows~
what do you always doodle (if you ever do)?
usually OCs, I almost always default to just making a circle which then turns into a character. sometimes I also doodle myself haha. but mostly OCs
how do you take your coffee/tea? If you don’t like those what’s your fav warm drink?
well if given the choice for a hot drink I’ll always choose hot chocolate, but if that’s not an option I really like coffee with a lot of caramel, sugar, and milk, and very very sugary tea haha
favourite candle scent?
Vanilla is a safe bet, but there’s also this Birthday Cake flavored candle and it’s SO GOOD
what perfume do you wear if any?
I don’t wear perfume and I think most of it smells very chemical-ish, but I like stuff that’s pomegranate scented so?
what’s your go to dance move when you’re alone?
I typically move my hands a lot haha like that move where you turn your arms like a wheel and Raising The Roof and oh boy this is embarrassing next question haha
favourite quote?
not really a quote so much as a mantra but just “happy, healthy, and safe” is kinda what I live by so that? “communication is key” is also a good one haha
favourite self care thing(s) or routine(s)
taking a shower is a really good way for me to feel better, especially if I haven’t had one in a long time. but also just cuddling a stuffed animal is nice~
fuzzy socks or house slippers?
fuzzy socks but I personally like to be barefoot as much as possible
what colour are your eyes?
hazel-y green?
what’s your favourite eye colour on others?
I actually don’t really have a favorite eye color haha. if I like a person a lot their eye color becomes my favorite, so right now I guess it’s blue~
favourite season? why?
Summer or early Spring~ I just really like when it’s warm and sunny and I don’t have to be frickin’ cold all the time
cheek, neck or nose kisses
receiving: cheek, giving: all of the above~
what does your happy place look like?
a nice, cozy apartment that’s very simple and not cluttered at all, and I have a nice computer and good headphones and a nice tablet, and I’m just enjoying myself and drawing a lot, and Cantolope is probably there too, because I really like cuddling hehe
favourite breed of dog?
Chinese Crested dogs because I can actually have them and I think they’re really cute and small. but I also like teacup pomeranians and Russian Bear Dogs
do you ever want to be married? If so what colours would you pick for your wedding theme?
Um maybe! I dunno! I’ve personally never really thought about having a Real Wedding, but having the tax benefits would be nice haha. I think if I got married I’d really just wanna go to the courthouse and have a nice little quiet wedding with just a couple of people, and not really worry about having a big wedding event or anything, but it depends on my partner, because I could deal with a big one if they wanted it~
silk or lace?
Lace, I really really hate the texture of silk haha
favourite weather?
sunny and warm! I like when you can go out and sit in the sun and just feel the warmth on your skin, but it’s not like bright enough to get a sunburn or anything, so kinda cloudy too I guess? I just like it to feel warm, falling asleep in the sun is just a really nice and calming experience~
I’ll tag uhhhh @pocotippy @grumpifyme @bluebelladon
