a very funny thing to me about decked out development to me btw has been. bats. on the one hand: the bats are apparently a really good warden redistribution device, because wardens just absolutely hate bats and want to obliterate them with their whole being. on the other hand, flaming bats caused one of the weirdest decked out recurring problems of all time and kept melting the card shop, a thing tango could not guess or figure out for days. the bats giveth. the bats taketh away.

Does anybody but me think about how Jasper was purposefully avoiding David the entire time because there's no way David didn't go to Spooky Island once the entire time he was a camper and a counselor and Jasper still vaguely had the ability to get to the mainland for short periods of time but he only tried in the present day and he was likely only actually ready and wanting to show himself and say something to him directly after 14 years

And honestly? It makes sense he avoided him for so long because like

1. even though there were kinda reasons, David still closely associated with the person who they had their falling out over And whose secret explosives stash killed Jasper and that was probably incredibly upsetting

2. After he finally let that go he probably still remained hidden because of guilt reasons
