CREATOR’S NOTES:

Let's start with my favorite item of the set, Bonbon Hair. It's the cutest hair I've ever created, and I'm really proud of it. The bow is adorable, and I was finally able to make a great 3D model of it. I'm really happy with how the hair looks - it's exactly what I had in mind. I hope you love it too! One thing to note is that the bow on Bonbon Hair isn't removable and won't work with hats. Usually, I prefer hairstyles that can be worn with hats, but for this one, I needed more space for the bow's texture. I also drew the bow's shadow onto the hair's texture to give it more depth and a better overall look. I also made sure to keep the polycount low - around 6k polygons. I could have made it lower, but it didn't look as good in movement. So, I kept it at a higher polycount to maintain good movement without too much distortion.

I designed the dress to complement the hairstyle, adding a bow at the back for an extra touch of charm and romance. I used a new mesh from the latest kit that I couldn't wait to franken-meshing with it. My goal was to create a vintage silhouette and style, and while I'm not sure if it was successful, I'm very happy with the final result. At the end of the day, it looks cute, and that's all that really matters.

The nails are a kind of old wip that I finally decided to finish. It's one of the cutest designs I've ever come across, and I was determined to recreate it in The Sims. I love a stiletto design, and for me, one of the best nail art is this one; it matches the nail's format and is so cute. The nail includes two color options but only one spec option. However, I plan to create additional versions in the future, including a glossy and matte finish, possibly as part of a mini set that I'm working on that will have this and other versions of some of my recent clothing designs.

Next up, we have the Biscuits Earrings. These were originally a work in progress meant for a different set, but while I was styling the Sims, I realized how well they matched with the current Sweet Tooth Set. So, I quickly finished them up and included them as part of the set.

By now, it's all. Unfortunately, I've been working very slowly lately; thanks to this heat wave, I feel most of the day like I'm melting. It's scorching in here, guys. I don't understand how a person can say global warming is a lie; really, how?!

hello, hello! i’m very proud of myself today for my productivity level 😊 although i had a late start today, i was still able to get a lot done so there’s more time for creative endeavors this weekend! i’m planning on making my march bullet journal spread and a stuffed animal hammock.

today’s to do:

i had a really great therapy session today, and i’m having another one on monday i’m looking forward to since we’re using a different approach i’ve never tried before. sometimes, having a therapist new to the profession is interesting because she’s always bringing in new ideas in discussing my issues. i also made my way to the college bookstore so i could get some minor hygiene products (dry shampoo) and flash cards to study for midterms with.

today’s gratitude: getting caught up on my work so i can relax a bit, even with midterms coming up! getting the homework for in between moments is important in helping me feel less stressed about big exams

days until spring break: 14 (two weeks!)

additionally, from here on out, i will be using a personal study tag so you can track my daily progress if interested! i don’t reblog a lot, but it’s helpful for organizing my blog for me anyways 😅 also, i’m trying to add a picture or gif every day to my posts, but because i honestly don’t take many pictures, it’s tumblr gifs and perhaps pinterest pictures. i’ll credit any pics that aren’t mine!

Friends! I haven’t been active on here for 3+ years, and I’m going to start being at least minorly active again, even if it just means venting or reblogging a few things. I won’t hold myself to any standards, just here to vibe.

Changed my blog name to tlrvakarian, I didn’t want to use my main name I have on all the other social media/gaming platforms, but it’s super similar, so this is a nice compromise.

Since it’s been so long, I wanted to make a post of what’s gone on in my life. I’m friends with a lot of folks on other socials, but I know not all.

One of the biggest developments in my life has been my boyfriend Sam. I met him in July 2019, because I hired him to work for the music store, go figure, eh? The relationship happened naturally and outside of work, so no weirdness, all kosher here! We got together in March 2020, right before all the pandemic shutdowns. He has been nothing but good, nothing but a light, he means everything to me, and I am complete with him. I really never thought I would find someone like him, but boy did I luck out. Here’s a cute pic, it’s from last May, Sam’s hair is way longer now, but it’s one of my favs we’ve taken.

Sam moved in with me 2 years ago, and we’ve had our own apartment together for a little over a year. I’ve never felt so strongly about someone, and I’ve never truly loved someone like I love Sam. He is so charismatic, FUNNY, my god he’s so fucking dumb and funny, romantic, sweet, and sooo handsome. You guys would eat him up, he’s absolutely deranged, but in all the right ways. I am going to marry him, 100%.

Moving on from Sam, and to my career, I left my music store gig for about 11 months. Coming back from the pandemic shutdown in May 2020, they made changes I didn’t agree with, and I took them personally, so I left. I was also struggling mentally, and work was taking a massive toll on me. I took about 6 months off of work completely to work on myself, it was heavily needed. After that, I got a GM position at another company, put up with that for about 4 months, realized I was getting taken advantage of, beyond miserable, and my mental health was at a big low, so I quit. I reached back out to the music company (not naming names, you all know what company it is by now), and they took me back with open arms, and even gave me my Sales Manager position back. I’ve been back for over a year, and even though I could’ve been further along in the company by now if I hadn’t left, I’m glad I did. I had a lot of personal growth in that time off, and I am a stronger leader because of it. My work ethic is killer, but I’ve made a big effort to not bring work home with me as much. It still happens, but I’m nowhere near as mentally effected by it as I used to be. I cry from time to time, but I haven’t had a work-related panic attack since I came back, and that is HUGE progress for me. I still have my frustrations with this job, and people I don’t like working with, but that’s going to happen at every job, and it could always be worse.

Lastly, I have really come into my own with cooking and baking. I know I was sharing stuff to instagram which shared to here up until 3ish years ago, but nowadays I am absolutely fucking cracked guys. Like not to toot my own horn, but I have gotten sooooo good. If I can remember, I’ll be sure to start sharing food and baked goods I make here, not that the pics do it any justice.

Otherwise, life is about the same, I work, hang with Sam, get high, cook, bake, casually play video games, and chill with the cat. It ain’t a fancy life, but it’s enjoyable, and I wouldn’t change a thing.

have you posted the more “finished” Allene piece as it’s own post? i love seeing the progress of peoples art but also the “unfinished” piece is technically the first thing that people see when you reblog that particular post. i love both and it’s incredible to see what subtle changes can do to really enhance the composition! but the “finished” Allene dagger pic might gain more traction if it was its own post, cause the edited version is probably just getting lost in the reblogs of the first version

New side blog (link later)

I’m gonna make a new sideblog to post pics, links, and other updates for my woodworking endeavors and sales stuff (when that gets set up). I’ll link in a reblog/edit here so that if you wanna see what I’m up to you can follow.

I’m amateur and self taught with all of this woodworking/woodcrafting stuff, but it’s been the one thing in my life that I’ve been consistently interested in and can consistently produce (somewhat) good products. I was passed over for grad school for the coming fall semester and I’m loathe to find a retail job. The hope is that I can start up a small business and get small commissions, make sales and produce products that can give me some kind of income, enough to prove to my dad that I have the skills, followthrough and sense to do this instead of retail to fill my time and attempt to be a productive member of society.

I’ll post on this main blog a notice when the online shop gets set up, as well as over on the new sideblog. For now I’m making a stock of things so that require a bit of time to cure, and learning the ropes at a local maker/hackerspace so I’ll have access to better tools. The goal is to have the online shop set up within a month.

Any follows over on the new blog would be appreciated, but not required. If you enjoy wood, trees, crafting, workshops, tools, and adventures of an in-progress crafter, or have suggestions and tips and wanna share the love, you might be interested in it. Either way, cheers mates.

My Gundam Wing novelisation finally arrived 😍 + bonus Hiiriri official art from the first volume that I wanted to share because they're so pretty ❤.

Another Gundam Wing light novel series added to the list of books I'll eventually translate 😁. FT is my priority right now, then EW novelisation, then Scythe in my Right Hand You in my Left, and then finally this series ^^; but I promise I'll get to it!

My #1 post of 2022

It appears that Frozen Teardrop still gets a lot of hate which is unfortunate since it’s a pretty good series. I understand not liking it if you haven’t read it since I didn’t either due to what was said about it online, but after giving it a chance I enjoyed it quite a lot! I also learned that most of the stuff said about it online never even happened,,,

Frozen Teardrop only reveals to the reader what the new characters, such as Fenrir and Cathy Po, know as the plot progresses. This has unfortunately caused a lot of misinterpretations from the western fandom who only had brief summaries to go off as FT was releasing. I want to clear up some of the more popular misinterpretations here, especially the common ones from TV Tropes and Gundam Wing Wiki (The wiki can’t even decide whether Sabrina and Katrina are her grandmother and great aunt or mother and aunt, so it shouldn’t be used as a source for FT anyway lol.)

This post is long, so it is under the read more. There are also spoilers so don’t read if you are waiting for the translations.

Wufei and Duo hate each other:

This is a language issue. Cathy Po is confused as to why Duo (Father Maxwell) and Wufei (Master Chang) are so informal with each other (talking down to each other rather than using more formal speech to address each other). In Japan if you don’t know someone/aren’t very acquainted with someone, you never talk down to them.

From her POV it seems odd that a Master and a Priest would talk to each other so casually whereas in Japan their language to each other should be much more formal given their status. This actually shows that Wufei and Duo are close enough (childhood friends) to talk casually but it comes as a shock to an outsider such as Cathy.

Heero wants to kill Relena:

Heero wanting to kill Relena is more for suspense for new GW fans and also as the reader is only given what knowledge Fenrir and Cathy Po have. From their Pov Relena needs to be assassinated but as the OG pilots know, she is just a scapegoat of the Lanagurin Republic and the fights with the Peacecraft’s are to throw the Republic off.

Heero himself wants to kill the name “Relena Peacecraft” (not Relena herself) so she can go back to being “Relena Darlian” and change the world as she wants on her terms rather than be burdened to carry the Peacecraft name. This gets revealed in the Preventor 5 chapters as well as in later chapters, but the old translations and summaries only covered the early volumes.

Relena does originally need to be killed to end the Perfect Peace Program virus which is why the G-pilots are trying to get to her but Heero is the one who comes up with the plan to find the origins of the program to stop it instead so she can live (hence why his “I’ll never kill again quote gets repeated over and over again).

*Duo almost gets his own subsection lmao, poor guy gets the hate the worst,,,

Duo abandoned Fenrir:

Duo had already mutually divorced Hilde and she chose to not tell him she was pregnant. He didn’t know he had a son so he can’t really be blamed for not being around as he was respecting Hilde’s space.

Duo cut his hair for no reason/ it’s ooc:

In Japan, a character cutting their hair signifies personal change and wanting to grow. Hilde points out that his braid is a reminder of Sister Helen and losing her and everyone else close to him which is why he continuously pushes others (especially Hilde as shown in the Anime and Manga) away. He initially disagrees with her but soon realizes she has a point and wants to change his ways leading to a dramatic scene of him cutting his braid and saying goodbye to Sister Helen, Father Maxwell and Solo with his newfound determination to stop pushing others away.

Duo left his debt of the church to Hilde on purpose:

Duo inherited the church’s debt from a priest he had helped, again against his knowledge. The only reason Hilde was stuck with the debt was because she went to evaluate it to sell and pay the debt but realized there was still orphans there, so she wanted to take care of them until they were adopted. Unfortunately, as Duo points out, because of the war there’s more orphans every time he visits.

Also, once Duo finds out about the church, he starts sending his bounty money he earns to pay it off.

Duo is a jerk dad:

This is a combination of the above misinterpretations as well as a language thing. Both Duo and Fenrir have brash/sarcastic speech patterns that don’t translate well, mixed with Fenrir being an Unreliable Narrator:TM: that tends to exaggerate, they come across as mean. We know from how they talk about each other that they both really care as well as from their actions. Fenrir sews part of Duo’s Santa suit into his iconic jacket, Duo gloats about his son to the other pilots, Fenrir learned all he knows from Duo, Duo made excuses to see Fenrir despite Hilde saying he wasn’t his son, Fenrir keeps Duo’s cowboy hat, etc.

Relena is brainwashed:

She wasn’t brainwashed at all. She was used as a scapegoat for the Lanagurin Republic the same way Romefeller used her as Queen Relena. They know the people will trust anything the government says as long as it comes from Relena.

Katrine is a clone:

Katrine is just another one of Quatre’s test tube sisters, she was just born after their father died (frozen embryo I assume?). She herself believed she’s a clone because she is brought up in a hospital (raised by her sister Irene Winner) and has a friend who is a “spare parts” clone for their own sister.

When her friend's sister dies and the friend becomes the “main daughter”, the friend projects on to Katrine calling her a spare parts clone, but Irene assures Katrine it isn’t true and that she is just as loved as her other 30 siblings.

Maybe this changes later? I haven’t got to the part where Quatre narrates yet so maybe he says something different but as far as I know this is debunked.

Katrine is only 10 making her romance with Phobos/No name gross:

Katrine is also 15 but the way that Mars years' work, I can see where the fandom got confused. There’s a part where it mentions she is a kindergartener, and 5 Mars years pass to bring us to just before the main plot. But 5 Mars years = 10 Earth years meaning she is actually 15ish (I’m presuming to be the same as the GW anime) and not 10.

Sabrina Peacecraft was locked away:

She wasn’t locked away rather she was the “lonely rich girl” much like Relena. She preferred to be in her room alone, playing the piano with her cat Sam but wasn’t a prisoner. The Cinderella references being the fairy tale to represent Katrina and Sabrina might have confused things? But as far as their back stories go, the cruel father locking her up wasn’t mentioned at all.

So as a EX bitch with PCOS, I propose a little challenge for myself that’s so simple, so easy, and so relaxing to follow, that I am betting on my own life that by the first day of Summer, I’ll be at my first UGW.

It would take me 119 days starting on Monday, if I follow the calorie daily intake as well as doing 1 hour of cardio 3x, and drinking plenty of water, that I will

1. Clear my skin

2. Become energized more often

3. Reduce my bloating

4. Make my period normal and bleed less.

Now I’m also taking Metformin for losing weight as well (it helps. I just am lazy as fuck for taking them at the proper times)

So this is what I’ll do starting Monday. I’ll even schedule in cheat days around my period so I don’t crack during and after. So here’s my rules for Monday;

HARD NO’s to eat;

Processed fat, refined fat, sweets, red meats, fatty foods.

Proceed with caution to eat;

Eggs, Cheese, Milk,

Perfect to eat;

Fruits, vegetables, lean protein such as chicken

When I wake up I have to drink water, and take my medication with a small snack as my breakfast. In the morning I must do sit ups, Russian twists, Planks, lunges, squats and fire hydrants with my light weights.

My lunch can be another small snack such as trail mix, protein bars, smoothies or veggies.

Dinner is whatever the family decides on. However if it’s fatty, eat half the portion I normally would eat and store the rest away until I can toss it.

Every month I have to take photos to show my progress as well. With the Date and picture of my weight at that time. I’ll even sit here and show the math for my weight currently, which is sadly 209.7 pounds;

If the goal is to be 145 by Summer(June)

I have to lose a minimum of 10 pounds every month, the max being about 11lbs or so to reach 145lbs. Then once it’s June, I can continue to reach my low weight of 125lbs and maintain it by the end of the year.

Next post I reblog will have my stats for January, as well as my scale picture and a body pic.

Marked down the clear grey winteriron one since it does have a crack in the top left piece from the cutting process- it is held in place by the solder so even if it does someday run all the way through it will stay there, but still

Mission Statement (or “Hey, Proph... Why are you making yet another Tumblr blog?”)

If you know me - if you’re reading this, chances are you do - then you know I like to separate my things out for both myself and others. That’s why I have my Main Blog (a catch-all) and my Art Blog (exclusively filled with finished pieces and some extra info). As you can gather from the title of this one, this will be my Build Blog.

What’s a Build Blog?

Simple. This will be where I drop info on my various Gunpla and other kit builds. I’ve been making these models for a long time and I’ve done my a good number of posts over on my Main. Since I don’t necessarily do these very often, those posts are effectively buried by my usual foolishness. Like with my Art Blog, this will help keep my Build posts from fading into obscurity.

What’s Gunpla?

Gunpla is short for Gundam Plastic Model. Along those lines, there’s Pokepla (Pokemon Plastic Model) and Plamo (Plastic Model). It’s simply shorthand for the particular model kits I generally like to build and mess with.

What’s with those HG, MG & SD tags?

These are “Grades” - or types - of Gunpla. HG (High Grade) is meant to be 1/144th scale compared to the size of the fictional machines. MG (Master Grade) tends to be 1/100th scale. SD (Super Deformed) and the SDCS (Super Deformed Cross Silhouette) line is the one grade that I build that has no real equivalent as they’re done in generally smaller scale with a focus on making the kits look cute.

One that may come up is “Non-Scale”. Pokepla tends to be non-scale as the critters in the games range from just as small as the finished kits all the way up to like 325ft. They can’t scale so they’re effectively Non-Scale.

What’s a Straight Build?

A Straight Build is what it says on the tin (or box in this case). This would be a straight up by-the-book build. No cutting, adding, painting or otherwise changing things. I use all the stickers. I don’t go in and change things beyond maybe cleaning up nub marks or scars from me clipping it with my tools.

What’s with all the weird poses?

Something I like to say is you should have fun with your stuff. No matter how you slice it, these are toys. Specifically, the kits I build are meant to be toys. I know many folks like to build and place their kits on display on a shelf but that’s not how I usually roll. That said, the more recent pics I’ll post here will have one or more SDCS figures in the background or directly interacting with my in-progress builds. It’s my way of having a little fun with my desk toys. = )

And that’s about it for this little intro post. What I’ll do while I work on things is dig up and reblog some of my ancient builds here from my Main Blog. Back in those days, everything was fairly rough and done with a not-so-great camera on my phone so temper your expectations on presentation. My current stuff isn’t done much better but my equipment is better and I’ve learned a thing or two about color correction.

I can’t say what the first actually “New” build here will be here but I do know I have an unhealthy amount of kits in need of building.

Lastly, I will be doing stuff like item reviews and answering any questions I think is worth answering here. This isn’t a “Professional” project by any means. It’s just a chill thing to help move my Gunpla and model kit stuff off my Main Blog and onto someplace they’re less likely to disappear. = )
