All Of Shuu’s TG Calender Appearances! (In Chronological Order!)
*this was initially just gonna be a twitter thread but I’m posting it here first bc is easier to draft and arrange. :) Wrote the little information cards that are under the pics and will try to image ID them for the text late one.
Under a cut bc there are twenty-four of them! Enjoy! <3

January 12th - Skiiing Day
On January 12, 1911, Major Lerch of the Austrian Army first taught a young officer in the Niigata Prefecture how to ski. Be careful when doing tricks!
February 6th - Blog Day
Based on bu (2) rogu (6).
A blog post from Shuu, it reads:
“February 6
Have you heard of a flower called the ‘Hardenbergia’?
It is also called a ‘Komachifuji’ and as its name suggests, it blooms with lovely purple petals.
And here is the usual Tsukiyama Shuu’s Flower Language Corner.
In flower language, a Hardenbergia refers to:
“A fateful encounter.”
“Happiness will unexpectedly drop in.”
…and the like.
There’s also “a miraculous miracle”…
—But this is what I think.
Encounters are always fateful,
and reunions are always miraculous.
Fate, miracles, our world is filled with such.
This moment is also a miracle.”
The comments feature Touka being quite rude, Kaneki adding little of importance, and Yomo not understanding technology.
February 13th - Bank Robbery Day
On February 13th, 1866, the first ever successful bank robbery took place in America by Jesse James.
February 25th - Hori Chie’s Birthday
Hori was Tsukiyama Shuu’s classmate in Seinan High School. Hori treats Tsukiyama as her photographic subject and despite Tsukiyama being a ghoul, she doesn’t fear him.
Tsukiyama in return finds her intriguing and treats her as a pet.
Their relationship continues on until now making them long-time acquaintances.
Whether they have a good relationship or not, it’s difficult to say for sure.
March 3rd - Tsukiyama Shuu’s Birthday. (Obviously.)
Happy Birthday, Tsukiyama Shu.
March 26th - Untitled.

March 31st - Untitled.
The inauguration (to celebrate the completion of the structure) of the Eiffel Tower in Paris was held today. I wonder if Tsukiyama has ever been to France before.

May 1st - Untitled. Shu’s second blog post.
This blog reads as follows:
‘Hey, everyone. We have now entered May, yes?
Speaking of May 1, it is a custom in France to send muguet (Lily of the Valley) as a present to the person you love on this day.
And the recipient is said to be visited by great fortune.”
Now then, upon hearing the words ‘the person you love’, whose face do you picture in your mind?
How about giving flowers as gifts to him?…Or her?
…With that said, that beloved person you just thought of may already be a happy person at this point.

May 11th - Salvador Dali’s Birthday
The Persistence of Memory.
“I saw three soft Shuus. One of them had a deplorable figure that hanged down from the branch of the olive tree.”
May 27th - Hyakunin Isshu Day
No. 86 Saigo Hoshi
“Should I blame the moon, for bringing forth this sadness, as if it pictured grief?
Lifting up my troubled face, I regard it through my tears.”
Grief? Is that what you’re trying to say, moon? I don’t think so.
Did I only just want to blame the moon for this sadness?
May 28th - Fireworks Day.
On this day in 1733, fireworks were launched for the first time for a festival in Ryogoku. The festival was first held by the 8th shogun of the Tokugawa shogunate, Yoshimune, in order to calm the spirits of the dead who fell to the great famine and cholera in the previous years. Now, it is held annually as water god festivies to ward off evil spirits.
(Note: turn up the brightness or stare very hard for a long time. He is there, I promise.)
June 9th - 6th Ward Day
A huge amount of members were sacrificed during the annihilation of ‘Aogiri’s Hideout’ in the 11th Ward. Afterwards, Kaneki left ‘Anteiku’ in order to follow Rize’s footsteps and entered a new world, the ‘6th Ward’, alongside Tsukiyama and Banjou.
June 25th - Spaceyama.

July 20th - The Day of the Moon Landing
On 1969, the human race landed for the first time on the moon in the spacecraft, Apollo 11.
At that time, Commander Armstrong sent a message to Earth saying, “one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind”.
August 6th - Handsome Day
Based on ha (8) nsa mu (6).
August 27th -Miyazawa Kenji’s Birthday
A poet and writer of fairy tales who was based in his hometown of Iwate. The paradise of his work was given the name ‘Ihatov’.
In his masterpiece “The Restaurant of Many Orders”, two young men went hunting in the forest, got lost, and strayed into a restaurant called ‘Wildcat House’. The irony of it all is when the two instead became the food.
September 21st - Fashion Show Day
On this day in 1927, the first fashion show in Japan took place in kimono shop called Mitsukoshi in Ginza. At that time, kimonos were mainstream.
September 8th - TG’s 5th Year Anniversary
Serialization strted on Weekly Young Jump No. 41 which was sold on this day in 2011. Thank you very much for reading.
September 9th - Rollcake Day
Based on how the cross section of a rollcake forms a ‘9’. June 6th is also called ‘Rollcake Day’ for a similar reason.
September 16th - Match Day
On this day in 1948, freely selling previously rationed matches was accepted.
October 14th - Glasses No.2

October 25th - World Pasta Day
On this day in 1995, the World Pasta Congress was held in Italy.
October 26th - Kishimen Day
Kishimen is a slick type of noodle that’s thin and wide in width. Based on tsu (2) ru (6) which means ‘slick’ or ‘slippery’. It is also considered the ‘autumn of appetite’.
December 23rd - Palindrome Day 3

December 29th - Chanson Day
On this day in 1990, a long-established Chanson cafe in Gonzales called ‘Ginpan’ went out of business.
The place was known as a gateway to success for Chanson singers.

Y/N: well, jimmy, first of all, thank you for having us. i’m aware that there have been some rumours, but you know how it is. people love to speculate. our music is definitely personal, and yeah, it does reflect some of what's been going on in my life but i want to set the record straight. the songs on our album are inspired by a variety of our experiences, including relationships, but they're not always directly about any specific individuals. sometimes i’m inspired by other forms of media or my loved ones’ experiences. that’s the joy of making art, it can be whatever you want.
DRUMMER: yeah, and y/n is such a talented songwriter. she has this incredible ability to channel her emotions into our music and make you feel whatever she wants.

In companionship to my beauty binder, I made what’s called a “fashion diary.” I keep all my fashion inspo in it and actually transferred some of my fashion content from my binder to my diary + expanded on it. 🎀
why?
super fun hobby for people like me (fashion students, future designers/stylists, fashion enthusiasts) or people trying to find their look. passion is and always has been my absolute passion! i just want to integrate it into my life in every possible way. 💓

in this section i keep printed out pictures of ANYTHING that inspires a look in my head. it doesn’t have to be clothing. i have photos of desserts, animals, places, etc. and if i don’t get a chance to print a photo i’ll write a short entry about what i saw that inspired me. 💗

pretty self-explanatory. i keep a list of all the items i wanna buy/try on. i like printing out pics of pieces i want and recording where to get them from. 🍰

i style my own looks under the name “noelle’s prêt-à-porter” or “noelle’s ready to wear.” i style looks based on pieces i own and pieces on my wishlist. i use this as way to hone in on my curation skills. i keep printouts of lookz i made and future concept ideas in this section. + i keep diy ideas in this section 🍓

Hi everybody, how are you today?
I've been putting this pack off for a few months, but finally here it is.
The funny thing is that, although it was ready, the reason I couldn't publish it was because I had to take the cover pic... and I was too lazy to have to dress (create) and pose 8 sims... I hate 8 sims poses hahaha it's too much work for the cover xD... Anyway, I think they turned out pretty good.
This pack was initially going to have only 2 poses for 8 sims... but since it took so long to publish it, in the end I decided to make a third round of poses for all 8 sims...
They are not "THE" poses, but I like them and I think they can be quite useful for certain "events"... I leave that to your imagination, but I can think of a few scenarios to use them xP.
And no, I have not based on Joy Boy and Luffy's Awakening to make these poses xD hahaha (for those who know about ONE PIECE and are up to date with the manga) It was a mere coincidence that it looks similar... Initially I was going to publish them in October, along with the simblreen gifts, as part of the "tribal" poses that I was doing back then, but I didn't finish them in time and then I simply postponed them because of what I have already mentioned haha and this here was the reference that I took as a general idea, along with a couple more:
BTW my original idea was to make the pic in Sulani but Chestnut Ridge is SOOO BEAUTIFUL and was the ideal place to recreate what I saw in my head when making them hehe.
In the other hand, I have made an additional "ALL IN ONE" pose which is all the poses from the 1st set, but to use with just one sim, running around the campfire. (Yes, it would be ideal to have several of this type with different variations, but it was crazy so I discarded the idea haha sorry).
But still, I hope you like these poses and find them useful.

Summary: Speculation abounds about his wife's pregnancy and Henry finally has enough…

A/N: This was supposed to go up last week but time got away from me. Please note: as I've tried to write this story as both standalone oneshots and an ongoing series, I now have to use more imagery to flesh out this arc and I'm aware this may disappoint some of you. Waterloo - oneshot.
Henry couldn't help but smile when he reentered the living room and saw her lying there. They'd walked the dogs only twenty minutes before and she was so exhausted she'd collapsed on the sofa the moment they got home. He watched as her chest rose steadily with every breath, with her legs tucked up and a hand cupping the base of her stomach. Luckily her morning sickness had lessened and the worst symptom her pregnancy was causing at that moment was bouts of extreme tiredness. He was loathe to wake her, especially as he had difficult news to share. Seeing her so soundly asleep reminded him of how vulnerable she was and his chest stirred with a mixture of anger and worst of all - guilt. "Ollie, it's dinnertime, can you wake up for me?" He rubbed her shoulder in an attempt to rouse her slowly. But her eyes burst open and she bolted upright.
"M-mmm what time is it?"
"Six o'clock darling, you fell asleep after our walk. I thought you'd like some dinner, you can join me in the kitchen if you're up to it?" She blinked at Henry several times, still trying to get her bearings.
"Yeah, okay, just help me up…" He smiled lovingly and took her by the hands. "What are we having? If you want I can drive to the deli and pick us up a couple of subs?" Henry vigorously shook his head.
"No, it's fine darling, I'm going to make something. Besides, you need to rest. There's… also something we need to discuss." As if on queue, his phone pinged for what felt like the hundredth time that hour. Henry tried to ignore it and offered her a reassuring smile. But her mouth set into a frown.
"What is it? Are your Mum and Dad okay?!"
"Yes sweetheart, it's nothing like that. Come on, let's have something to eat first." He attempted to lead her into the kitchen but she held fast.
"Henry, you're worrying me. What is it?" He gazed into her eyes for a few seconds and sighed.
"Look, I really didn't want to bring this up—"
"Bring up what?! Just tell me!"
"Okay, okay… you know we went shopping yesterday and you thought someone took a picture of us?" She nodded slowly. "Well, it turns out a picture was taken. And then posted on Twitter." She blinked at Henry several times.
"So? Sometimes people catch us and take photos…"
"Darling, I… things are different now." He reached for her stomach.
"Oh…"
"Look, my publicist's already called me. The picture's everywhere and she wants to know how we'd like to proceed—"
"What? Why?"
"Well, maybe if we're more upfront the speculation will die down and there'll be less interest…" Henry trailed off, unable to read the look on her face. Eventually, she cleared her throat.
"Henry, it really doesn't matter what we confirm and/or how. People are still going to take our pictures and gossip. It's why I didn't want to do anything in the first place - it's not going to make any difference." His head dropped to his chest.
"… I'm so sorry, darling." She cradled Henry's face and gave him a quizzical look.
"What for?"
"For all of it. I wanted to do my best to protect you and I've failed."
"Failed? It's not your fault someone saw us—"
"Yes, but if you were with someone else, you'd have none of this. You could just live your life without being talked about the whole world over." She chuckled.
"Aren't you exaggerating slightly? It's only a small group of people who really cares about this. Besides, we've been together nearly a decade—"
"I know, but that's not how they see it. I'm just scared that this will all escalate now that that picture's out there—"
"But darling that's beyond our control. Besides, it's not like anyone's made any threats… is it?"
"No, but what if they do? I mean I would never want to scare you but you know how unhinged people can be. If anything happens to you I'll never forgive myself." She couldn't help but laugh again.
"Well, for starters we're holed up here most of the time and security aside, we also have two Akita's who aren't exactly fond of strangers. I'm sure we'll be fine…" But he was in no mood for her teasing.
"Darling this isn't funny, I feel beyond awful. You should never have had these sorts of worries, pregnant or not."
"Don't be daft. I wouldn't trade our life for anything. Okay, so it can be a nuisance at times, but what others think isn't important. We have to live our lives, Henry. We were going to be spotted at some point. It's probably better people know now rather than when we're randomly seen pushing a pram."
"I know, I know. But I still feel helpless. It makes me fear for when the baby's actually here. How are they going to cope with being in the public eye? How the hell am I going to keep them safe as well?"
"Well, they won't even be able to find their feet for the first four months—" Henry's face hardened.
"Ollie, this isn't a bloody joke. Once our kid is out there, there's only so much we can do—"
"But that would be the case whether they were the child of someone famous or not. If there's one thing this pregnancy's taught me so far, it's that we can't have total control. Okay, so one day they'll have to learn why people want to meet their dad and take pictures of him, but that's not a bridge we'll have to cross for some time." He was silent for several moments. "Darling, talk to me…"
"It's nothing, it's just… none of it's worth it. Especially now."
"What are you saying?"
"I saying, I'm ready to—"
"Stop right there—"
"No, Ollie. I won't. Sooner or later it'll become the biggest stressor for us as a family. If the two of you aren't being photographed in the street, there'll be times when you're by yourselves - just the thought of what could happen makes me sick to my stomach."
"Darling, we were out in public and you're a public figure. Okay, so it's unfortunate. But it's not like they got a picture of them—"
"And what about when they do? As you said, we can't fully protect them—"
"Well, for starters, the law's on our side. But other than that you're going to have to learn to let this go. What will be, will be." Henry nearly blew his top.
"How can you be so bloody calm about this?! I'm scared that the more pregnant you look, the more invasive people will become. I don't even want people coming up to you, let alone anything else—"
"I've handled that okay in the past haven't I?" He smiled sadly and held her tight.
"Of course you have, and I'm not saying you're some delicate flower but this isn't just about us anymore. I want to do my best for you and the baby and it scares me how terrible people can be."
"Why? Just what exactly are they saying?" Henry didn't know how to respond. She sighed. "Oh sweetheart, it's not your fault."
"Of course it is! And what can I do about any of it? Nothing unless I give it up—"
"Don't be ridiculous, even that wouldn't be enough. Once you're famous, you're famous. We just have to rise above it."
"But I want to respond, let people know they can keep their disgusting opinions to themselves—"
"And has that ever worked in the past? Look, we really will be alright. You have nothing to apologise for or feel guilty about. We have a wonderful life, Henry. We have so many amazing adventures together and we're about to embark on our biggest one yet…" She rubbed his chest but his head hung low.
"I still want you both to have as little stress as possible."
"What will make me less stressed is you promising not to get any more upset by this, okay?” She bit her lip. “And if it makes any difference, I already knew about the picture." Henry’s eyes darted upwards.
"What?!"
"My sister messaged me when she saw it doing the rounds on Instagram. She's blocked the people trying to get more information." His nostrils flared.
"See?! They've already started harassing our family! We've got to nip this in the bud now—"
"Darling, we're damned if we do, damned if we don't. Luckily we have good people around us and they've promised to say nothing—"
"That's not what worries me. Why didn't you say anything?"
"… Because I knew you were already feeling bad and I didn't want to make it worse." Henry's heart ached.
"Oh, darling. You know you can always tell me anything. Just promise me you won't go reading comments—"
"I won't. But… can you be honest about something?"
"Of course."
"… Do I look big?"
"What? Why would you even think that?!"
"Are you sure?"
"Darling, that's the reason they're in a tizzy, they can't tell if you're pregnant or not—"
"Well… soon they'll know for sure."
"Oh Ollie, please promise me you're not worried about that of all things? All this pregnancy has done is make you even more beautiful—" she scoffed.
"Henry, look… we can work out our plans as a family when we need to. But you love what you do, it's who you are and what you've worked so hard for—"
"No, it's not. Finding you made me realise it never has been. Making you my wife, starting a family… that's who I am. What I've always wanted. I'd do anything now, just so long as you and our kid are always near me." She felt a lump in her throat. "Don't you get it ya numpty? I've never seen your eyes look so soft and warm. It's not about me missing out - I love doing nothing with you Ollie." She swallowed back her tears.
"Well, let's just wait until they're here, okay? Then we can go from there. But I promise you, I'm not worried about that picture, and neither should you be." His head sunk again.
"… They had no right to even take it." She then shot him a mischievous look.
"Well, was it at least enough to distract from the size of my arse?" Henry softened and quickly turned her around.
"Hang on, lemme take a look—" she spun back and thumped him on the arm.
"Don't you start now, mister - I only have so much bloody patience!" Henry's eyes quickly lost their playful spark. "Well, if things get that bad… you could always do a naked calendar. That'd give them something else to talk about—"
"A naked calendar?! You do realise I'm far too hung to appear in-frame?" She clucked her tongue.
"Oh please, the photographer would need more Vaseline for the lens than what's currently in production…" His eyebrows hit the ceiling.
"What are you trying to say?! You're no bloody prize either!" She thwacked Henry on the arm.
"At least they wouldn't be swapping out the lens every thirty seconds—" He gasped.
"Well, I'm surprised that person's phone didn't explode when they took that picture!" Her mouth fell open.
"Oh yeah?! Cos I'm shocked anyone even bothers to take their camera out to snap you—" Henry couldn't stand it any longer and pulled her in for a kiss.
"… Then let me take my shirt off and we'll see just how well I photograph—"
"No fucking thank you! I don't want to be put off that dinner you said you were going to make. In fact, you can now take me out for it—"
"Will a drive-thru be alright?"
"No, it bloody well won't you little bollocks! You know, just for that, you can take me to the new Italian on Harpin Lane—"
"But they won't even do spaghetti there!"
"Tough shit. You should have thought about that before you opened your mouth—"
"Well, from now on I definitely won't be!"

It’s not a silly question, don’t worry! Tbh with you, it’s just a hunch. Like yeah, there’s no canon pics of BEN in full body but I saw this one particular fanart of them made by @Ca_mo_333 on Twitter having a sleeved shirt and pants with no shoes on and it oddly fits them for some reason imo. So, sorry if I happen to give misinformation on what their clothes look like but that’s just a headcanon of what I *think* they would wear. Though, based from their pic in iseeyou, it looks like they’re wearing a navy blue t-shirt, but that’s it. The rest are just gonna have to be in our imagination ig 🤷♂️

Sorry but I call this bull$h!t, everything is enhanced except for this one place with my tumblr link. this is not a coincidence, especially when @yumethefrostypanda pointed out that the same thing happened to her with your blog.
If you're going to base your account on random pics, for the love of god do your homework and look for original artists. And I'm talking about all reposters - here, on twitter, pinterest and tiktok.
Surprisingly, everyone always forgets to do this and only regrets it and say sorry when someone tags me and tries to give me credits.
We, artists, spend HOURS of our free time on this and then publish our work for free for everyone to enjoy. And all we want in return is respect. This is not it.
I did my research and I looked for this specific pic of Keegan Russ on pinterest. Only found 3. One of them is credited in description and two of them have visible watermarks on them. Only found one without my watermark, but it's bad quality with effects on them so I'm sure you didn't use it.

saw this on twitter and as someone who loves 1. talking about my opinions and 2. talking about this show, i am of course going to take this excuse to talk abt my opinions of this show. im gonna throw all of it into reblogs of this post tho so im not clogging up the tag fdjkhfsjk
anyway days 1-7 (bc im late to the party) under the cut:
Day 1: when did you discover ofmd?
probably same as most ppl on here, ofmd was suddenly all over my dashboard at some point around mid to late march 2022. one post i saw was a link to a google drive with the episodes and i ended up watching the entire series like, the next day.
Day 2: first impression of ofmd
ok tbh my first impression based on the very first gifsets i was seeing was "this show looks kinda stupid idk if i can take these costumes seriously." then during the first few minutes of s1 i was like "oh yeah this is definitely a taika project, this feels so much like wwdits." both of these impressions no longer hold true lol the costumes are SO fun and past the bit in the pilot of stede narrating to lucius the wwdits vibes are no longer present.

Day 4: reasons why you like ofmd
i tend to enjoy lighthearted comedy tv and also shows with shorter episodes. this is why most of the media i've consumed for years is just cartoons hjfkhkghfskj BUT outside of those basic preferences the HEART the characters the writing the comedy the romance the soundtrack the set design the props the storylines the cast the crew. there's almost no part of this show that im not in love with.

I think she is. A Little bit already.
First, her “husband’s” fanbase despises her. Not all, but I’d say a loud minority that’s also out there ready to snatch her wig for anything she tries to do (lol).
Anytime she does something remotely embarrassing there’s a group of people waiting to out her - remember Liberia? 😂 and they have receipts and keep screenshots. She can’t hide unless she goes private but then she’ll never get more followers. 🤣
And if she thinks these people will stop if she has his baby? She can think again. That’s never happening. I think she burned all opportunity to make peace with his fan base and people want to see her gone. There are a ton of crazy fans that go way too far, yes, but unfortunately shes made enemies for life. Should have thought twice before having your soulmate mock and troll your fans on your behalf and then posting yourself showering to the world as an FU. Now when you try to claim you’re so shy your posts will be spammed with your own nudes.
The general public still does not notice or care about her. She’s so uninteresting and irrelevant her name is still getting spelled wrong. By people in her own country 🙈
Her movie backed by the largest US talent agency made no noise at all in any of the box offices and especially not in the United States of America. She was only only in it briefly and the reviews don’t even mention her. Not really going to help her future IT girl case because in comparison, like Jenna Ortega gained 10 million fans in like two weeks. I’m sure a bunch of them were bots too but let me tell you EVERYOne was watching Wednesday back in Nov-Dec 22. So her gaining that much really isn’t that far off the bat. Not to mention, AB’s big moment to shine was around the same time as Jenna and Jenna beat her and didn’t have to date anyone famous. 🙊
Even Chris back in 2019 - his peak popularity and then 2020 - he was trending at times daily, weekly. He was trending #1 on twitter for at least 24-48 hours during his oopsie weekend. His tweet after that telling people to go vote got millions of likes. He used to get crazy engagement just for breathing. I remember after endgame and then knives out people were talking about him like he had just popped up on the scene…this man had been in the industry at least 20 where at that point. lol
Chris came on IG and I’m pretty sure he gained a million followers in about 24 hours. Yes, there are celebs that did it faster than him but remember he’s always been more of an under the radar celebrity and he never really tried to be otherwise. So for the fact he was hitting 40 years old and joined IG ten years after everyone else and got 1 million the first day is impressive. So yes, he had star power. Jenna has it now.
And yes, CE has lost that star power and in part it’s due to him being with AB. So yes, he’s losing due to his decision to be linked with her, which could be called his karma…
But miss wannabe IT girl? Whew.
Try as she might, Her followers….basically capped at 840K and I will bet Elon musk’s entire net worth she was hoping to hit 1 million the night she went public with her now husband. People on tumblr even saw that she went and pinned her Mrs Harris movie post like the same day their pap pics came out. That’s how you know old girl was waiting and hoping to see her numbers go up.
Lastly, her “husband” is still more popular than her. Even though his fanbase has deteriorated she hasn’t gained more popularity’s I think this may really really grate her (don’t ask me why, I just have this feeling) because she’s the young and vibrant one. She wants to be adored and no matter what she tries to do, photoshopping herself in every picture she posts, she’s not outgaining him in terms of recognition. People will only know her if his name is added first.
So…yeah. Maybe you think she has it all and she’s not getting anything bad. But I would say karma works in mysterious ways. Sometimes it’s not as obvious as you think.

Especially when you mentioned "Karma isn't as obvious as you think". It's something I made a realization recently. Because I truly believe in Karma, I just wanted Karma to be more obvious, but sometimes, it just isn't.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for the way you respond to all your asks. It can be very hard to answer something when you have a strong opinion/belief that you are sure of but explain things in a way that is neutral too but you always do it.
I've been so on the fence about believing what's going on with Michael and David but a lot has happened in such a short space of time. The soft way they looked at each other when Michael saw David perform Macbeth was the start of my doubts about just friendship. I think it's safe to say that whatever they are to each other, there is absolute love there and it's beautiful to see. Your explanations have made a big difference in how I view things too so thank you for the clarity you provide. You do a great service to a lot of people.

I’ve been trying really hard for my answers to be exactly that so I’m glad it’s working ❤️
I’m aware that we are judging on just the little that’s shown to us (or should I say quite a lot lately), and our judgment is often based on our life experiences, so I know that I might simply be wrong and I won’t have a problem admitting it if at any point I am - hence always giving my thought process and why I think what I think - but I always want people to feel free to make their own conclusions. There are many things I’m not super sure about and that’s when you can see when I ask questions myself and I simply say I am just not sure because it could be this or that.
People’s sensitivity regarding this is also why I always keep my posts out of tags and created my own to block and usually put answers under ‘keep reading’ and stopped the posts from being rebloggable so if people don’t want to see any of this they don’t have to.
I was having some gentle question marks in my head after watching a few interviews with MS/DT and following MS on Twitter but I wasn’t really getting into it all. But when MS posted the “I set David on fire fairly regularly” I went “oh come onnnn” and finally gave in, especially considering the context of when he said it. When he went a little insane that day and then dead quiet, I thought this is it, things will change.
I even posted a little cryptic tag then 😏
And then the fairy light pic and Macbeth happened and I thought Here. We. Go.

Late ask, but just wtf is Sanremo? All I can tell it's something Catholic and has to do with a Saint, but based on the chaos I saw in your reblogs, it also isn't?? The Italian part of me needs to know, mainly because it makes sense for a festival about a Saint to be insane, seeing as many stories about them are pretty insane (read in a children's book on St. Francis of Aussi that when he accepted God's call he stripped naked and strolled out of town, while heard St. Patrick once cursed a group of people being jerks to be werewolves (he asked God to help him out and God was like "Yeah I'll grant you a solid my dude")
So, what is Sanremo??

Nono it's not something Catholic, it's called Sanremo because it takes place in Sanremo, a city in Liguria.
Sanremo it's the "Festival of the italian song" (people can only sing in Italian, that's one of the rules)

But, basically, it's a musical competition where we decide who's gonna represent Italy in Eurovision. Sanremo is way older than Eurovision toh, at first it was just a competition on its own but then they decided to use it for Eurovision too.
The reason why it looks so chaotic it's because IT IS CHAOTIC XD at least it has been for the past 4 years, it became so much fun to watch. So many funny things happened.
We once had this guy, Morgan, who changed his lyric to insult the guy who was gonna sing with him, Bugo. And this poor guy just straight up left the stage and DISAPPEARED for the rest of the night 💀

There are a lot of other things, some scandals here and there (mostly right wing italians being scandalized), cool songs, a bit of sexism (we're working on it), some good feminism and LGBT+ and some more funny moments, like the host (the guy with the blonde wig) that this year started using Instagram to be "Less boomer" and was doing live streams during the festival (hilariously and adorably cringe) but I don't want to bore you ahah

That fic was gonna be for a MB big bang like... a year ago? 2 years ago??? and i dropped the event bc i was so busy with school + zines and it was my lowest prio (plus was slipping out of sk8 writing at the time).
my initial idea inspo was one of those twitter "QRT with pics based on your zodiac/birthday/battery %" things, which gave me the prompt: Immortal AU | Mutual Pining | “Listen to me, just this once.” my essential idea: Kaoru is posessed by a demon (Carla) who grants him eternal health + youth + life in exchange for her getting to live in his body + occasionally use it as her own (gets her a "get out of Hell free" card). Kojiro is a vampire. The two meet in Venice, have an on-again-off-again situationship for a few centuries, until they meet up in modern day when Adam (a demon possessing the politician Ainosuke Shindo) appears and decides, hey, he really wants to be a dick to Carla, so why not get the pretty body she's got while he's at it?
featuring high drama from Kojiro, who refuses to let Kaoru be possessed by Adam, Kaoru who has a demon and a vampire as his forever family, Carla who is a snarky demon shit, and amateur demon hunter group comprised of Reki/Langa/Shadow/Miya who are investigating this super sus politician, Ainosuke Shindo.
Snippet below the cut (this is long but i legit forgot i wrote this and it *slaps*) cw for: threats of violence, blood drinking, loss of control of body due to demon possession
The moonlight shines on the water’s surface, and Kaoru breathes the salty air in deep. Venice reminds him of home, with the ocean air rolling in and the markets full of freshly caught fish. It’s been nearly sixty years since he left home, but Kaoru still finds himself most at peace by the ocean.
It’s far safer to travel in a group, Kaoru knows, but he slips away from the caravan of traders he’s travelled here with to explore the city for himself.
He looks up, losing himself in the stars as he walks along the waterfront. Gondolas drift by in his periphery, and Italian chatter spills out of open windows as he meanders along the walkway.
A hand on his arm startles Kaoru out of his reverie, and the shine of the moon on the water disappears as he’s pulled into a dark alley and a hand is slapped over his mouth.
“Just what the hell are you?” and Kaoru’s staring into angry wine-dark eyes with his own eyes open wide, and Carla says “Oh, fuck,” in his head, and then—
His mouth is moving but Kaoru’s not speaking. He can see his hands coming up to grip the stranger’s shirt tight, but he’s not moving them. He can feel his own face twist into a smirk and a leer but he’s not the one doing it, what is this—
Carla chuckles, deep and low, and the sound comes from Kaoru’s throat. “Oh, you are a pretty one, aren’t you? What are you? Werewolf? No, you’re far too cold for that. A lost soul, then, clinging to a life it has no claim of? Or,” and Carla leans in close and brushes the stranger’s hair away from their neck, revealing two light scars dotting the flesh just behind the jugular.
“Oh, how interesting,” Carla purrs with Kaoru’s tongue. “A vampire, here in Venice? I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised, your kind loves the waterfront—”
The vampire shoves Kaoru, no, Carla, into the stone wall behind them, and steps back. “Well, you know what I am. Now answer my damn question: what are you?”
Carla crosses Kaoru’s arms — and Kaoru does not like the feeling why can’t he control his limbs — and tilts Kaoru’s head. “My name is Carla. I’ve struck a deal with this mortal, so now I get to use his body.”
The stranger’s eyes narrow. “A demon, I should have known by your stink—”
Kaoru protests in his head, but the words never pass his lips. Carla cuts the stranger off with a laugh. “Oh, come now, love, the boy and I have our deal. He agreed to this, and he gets what he wants out of the bargain. There’s no need for such insults, especially not when I know every weakness your kind has.”
In a flurry of movement, Carla has the vampire pinned to the wall, Kaoru’s dagger held to his throat. “It’s made of steel, to be sure, but beheading works just as well as a stake through the heart. But I’m sure we’d both rather this not end in violence — surely, this city is big enough for the both of us, at least for the next few days? We’ve got enough problems from all the humans slinking about; if they catch onto either one of us, it’s bad news for us both. So, what do you say? Truce?”
The stranger grits his teeth and nods curtly. “Truce.”
Carla nods and pulls away, sheathing Kaoru’s dagger in one fluid motion. “I’ve told you my name already, and the boy’s name is Kaoru.”
“Kojiro,” the vampire says. He narrows his eyes as he looks Carla up and down.
“Let me out,” Kaoru says, but the words never pass his lips, and Carla’s voice resonates around him in his head. It rumbles in the dark space Kaoru is in, shaking every fiber of his soul as she croons, “Hush, now, all in due time.”
“Kojiro,” Carla says aloud, and she taps Kaoru’s lips with a finger in thought. “Well, in the name of our truce, what say I buy you a drink?”
Kojiro rolls his eyes. “And you claim to know so much about vampires.”
“Not alcohol, moron.” Carla turns back to the water and the moonlight shining on the river’s surface. “We demons have quite a network already established, one that can even benefit you vampires.”
They end up at a dingy pub. Kojiro claims a booth while Carla speaks with the bartender. She asks for two glasses of wine, “One red and one darker,” she says. The bartender pauses and looks at her, locks eyes with her for a moment, then nods and turns away. He comes back with two glasses, one with wine and one with a thicker, deep red liquid. Carla takes the glasses, and the thicker liquid clings to the side of the glass as it shifts. Kaoru realizes with horror that the liquid is blood.
Carla brings the glasses and slides the glass of blood over to Kojiro. He sniffs at it, eyes narrowed in suspicion. His eyes widen as he looks at it.
“Huh,” he says. “You actually got human blood.”
Carla lifts up her wine glass. “Like I said — connections. Alla tua.”
“Alla tua,” Kojiro says, and he clinks his glass against Carla’s before taking a deep sip. “So,” he says, “what brings a demon to Venice?”

Don’t know why but anytime Anna posts on Twitter her little quotes of her and Michael I just immediately cringe. Your telling me she didn’t know from the start she’d be in Staged? Like it was a last minute impulse decision to put her in it like we didn’t know from the start that she probably weaseled her way into the show because she was in the house with Michael when he’s filming and she had forced her way in. PUH-LEASE!! Like girl if your going to be lying in your tweets at least make them believable. I don’t think anyone who saw that tweet and knows who she really is and how she acts believes for a second that she didn’t know she was on the show. Another thing too, she just has to keep mentioning that she was on the show. Like girl if she didn’t keep talking about it every second of every day we wouldn’t have noticed you honestly. That’s how invisible and plain you really are. She just blends into the background and putting her in with David and Michael in the promo pics in staged 3 was definitely a choice that wasn’t executed as good as she had hoped cause she immediately blends in with the background and all I see are the two guys and not her. Literally why she’s called APAT. She’s plain and tall those are her only discernible qualities
I read you loud and clear, Anon. It's the funniest (though not "ha ha" funny) thing, too--in my post earlier, one person mentioned how AL only posts pictures with her and Michael/none of David, and I specifically talked about her posting the same recycled pictures in her Insta posts promoting Staged...and then only a few hours later, she made this post on Insta with the same exact pictures. And sure enough, one of them was the promo picture you just mentioned:
I agree with your assessment, Anon: My focus also went to David and Michael, and AL immediately faded into the background. Part of this could be because of the forced perspective of the picture--i.e., AL looking farther away from the boys than she actually is because of how the picture was shot. But I think it's mainly due to her lack of presence--mainly in the third season of Staged overall, in which she not only had less screen time than Georgia, but less screen time than in the first two seasons of the show altogether--as well as her lack of on screen "presence" in general.
(I did have to laugh at her caption on Insta referring to her, David, and Michael as a "detective trio" in this picture--maybe a reference to Crowley/Aziraphale/Muriel?--but completely off base and rather ludicrous here. Also, interestingly enough, The Telegraph chose to use this picture of all things in their negative review of Staged 3...)
Turning to the Twitter comments you mentioned, here is the exchange that the Anon is talking about (between AL and Simon), for those who might not've seen it:
Obviously this is deeply cringey, but in the interest of accuracy, I think it's important to note that Michael/AL/David/Georgia did an interview about Staged in Radio Times in 2021, and if what was said there is true, it does appear that it actually was a last-minute decision to cast her in the show:
With that said, however, it's also possible that two things can be true: 1) That AL knew a pilot was going to be filmed and tried to passive-aggressively push her way into being in it; and 2) That she actually didn't know she was in it until the last minute.
From my perspective, it's actually worse that she was cast in it so last minute. Because either Michael didn't consult with her/confide in her about the show at all until he had to, or he resigned himself to her being in it purely out of "practicality." It makes it look as if it wasn't that Anna was the best person for the show or that Michael or anyone was excited or thrilled to be working with her--it was that she was just there. So if AL was lying, you'd think she would've come up with something that makes her and/or her and Michael's relationship look a lot better than it does.
And it does appear that AL seems to talk incessantly about Staged in an effort to emphasize/remind us that she is actually in it. I don't know if anyone remembers the TV show Married...With Children, but it reminds me a great deal of Al Bundy scoring four touchdowns in one game of (American) football and spending the next several decades talking about his "glory days" in high school. I don't think anyone is saying AL can't promote a show that she was in, but it's the very fact of needing to remind everyone by repeatedly posting the same pictures and interjecting the same types of comments on Twitter that makes it start to become obnoxious.
(Also, we've seen Simon compliment Michael/David/Georgia's acting in certain scenes, something they brought to a particular moment in the show, and yet in his response to AL he chose to compliment...the charcuterie board. Make of that what you will...)
So yes, hopefully this helps to straighten out a few things, but as I said above, I agree with pretty much everything you've written here, Anon. Thanks for writing in and sharing your thoughts! x
