To be totally honest I've just really not liked how I've been drawing the boys for a while, it just looks a little ugly, and I wanted to try get better (that and I've being having brainrot in another fandom atm) but i FULLY intend on hopping back into my au's at the end of April when I'm finished college. Honestly kinda wild looking back at my old stuff but here it is!
2015: For context, I was coming from playing with TS2 and TS3 and alpha was kinda the craze back then so most of my sims were also alpha (also didn't help that most of the cc available at the time were also alpha)
I don't think I knew what tumblr was at that point so I don't really have much screenshots other than this one picture that I made my google account profile picture for a while (I actually kinda remember feeling annoyance whenever some cc sites would direct me to tumblr which is wild tbh).
2017: Still didn't join tumblr, but I think I started downloading from there?? Fun times. The pictures shown are also from me putting them up as my profile pic on my google account lmao.
2018: Joined tumblr! Won't link my old account because it's terrible but uhhh I remember posting my legacy at the time which involved Summer Holiday and Travis Scott but I think I ended up deleting it. I also started doing CC + making edits which is kinda cool I guess.
2019 - 2023: Discovered rendering and never really looked back. Also started experimenting with my sim style to make it more cartoony ksdfjsd (I've recently started toning it down for regular gameplay though,,,)

The last ask really got me thinking abt Drayton and Iris now bc I have not stopped thinking abt Iris being the older one in my hcs PLEASE LISTEN TO ME THIS HAS PLAGUED MY MIND WHILE I WAS WORKING
Cause y'know, in my hcs if Iris is the older one then she is at least three years older than Drayton, so when Iris was taken in by Drayden, Drayton was around 2 at most, so for almost all his life, Iris had been around, his big sis, his playmate when they were younger, his mentor alongside their grandfather, she was like a role model to him
But also, Iris being a prodigy kinda messed w him a bit, cause she did so well w battles, she's already a strong trainer since she was young, at 12 she became Opelucid's Gym Leader, then a year later she became Unova's Champion, probably it's longest running Champion too present time
And he, well, he had to redo his second year at school, but he had smth at least, he became the champion of the school's own league, the BB league, he was proud of it, and Iris was proud of him when he became the school's Champion, and that was one of the highest praises he got. Ofc, his sister, who's the region's champion, being so proud of him for being his own school's champion, for being the strongest trainer in the academy, ofc he ate it up. At least someone was proud of him.
It would also be cool but also low-key sad if you squint if Iris actually trained Drayton more than Drayden trained him. And not like Drayden neglected him, ofc not, but Iris just had more time to do so since Drayden was also busy w being mayor of the city and being its Gym Leader. Sharing the champion title, Iris at least didn't have to worry much when she's not at the league, bc Hilbert can cover for her, so during her spare time, she trains Drayton
And idk it would make a bit of sense, he's good at battling, before Kieran really went above and beyond w his own training, Drayton was considered the strongest at the academy, he is Champion level, was a Champion, bc he was trained by a Champion
But also it would be funny since they look nothing alike that when Drayton talks abt her, people would be all "your sis sounds cool, but who is she anyways?"
"My sis? Wow, you really don't know her? You live under a rock or something?" Then he laughs and just "my sister, Iris, she's the Champion. Surely you know her. Who doesn't?"

honestly i do get where they’re coming from. that entire scene being a thing is a biproduct of wesker’s manipulation. he had manipulated her into becoming the ceo of tricell’s africa division and falling in love with him. in some aspects she is a victim of his manipulation
BUT
that does not excuse her touching wesker at all no matter how he made her feel or how she feels. period. he had given no prior consent or positive reaction to what she was doing. she had crossed a line there and was never okay no matter what. i don’t think this is something that should ever be defended whether she touched wesker or any body else. it shouldn’t matter who she touched, it should matter that she touched that character in the first place which is wrong, even if she was in love. if you’re going to defend her, defend her literally being manipulated. do not defend her crossing a line and doing something that the other character didn’t consent to.
yes, she thinks wesker likes her too. that is 0 excuse to defend her touching him that way. that scene should never be defended, just like you should never defend any bad thing wesker does either. i do not defend his bad actions like him manipulating excella. what i do defend is him being touched without any consent whatsoever. it doesn’t matter what he made her think, in that moment he gives 0 indication that he wanted to be touched. no matter what it isn’t okay.
i feel like we should all come to an understanding about these two characters and just say it out right
excella touching wesker is not okay no matter the situation. stating otherwise is very insensitive toward actual victims in similar situations to this.
excella was manipulated, that is not okay either, but it does not excuse what she did. she can love him all she wants, but she should’ve read the room and his current mood and should never have touched him.
clearly she reads him wrong as well. his instant retaliation to her “do i sense concern?” comment makes her roll her eyes. clearly she didn’t know how he felt and read his feelings wrong, OR she thinks he suddenly switched up his mood. either way she doesn’t know wesker enough to know how he felt in that situation. she thinks she knows him but she simply doesn’t.
i think both sides have their reasonings, but we should really acknowledge that it’s never okay to touch someone without consent. people defending that specifically is so weird to me. do not defend her being weird. victims of similar acts do not appreciate that at ALL

Ah, you know, thank you for this. 🥹 they are my hobbies, and I need to learn not to minimize them or apologize for liking them. (Old habits, it comes with growing up the way I did and being told that liking comic books and Star Wars and "living in a fantasy world" was making me weak) But yeah I mean. It's not disappointing to like reading, or art, or video games, nor does it make someone a loser.

I love to draw all kinds of things, I have a sketchpad filled with stuff from reference/still life, I like practicing drawing flowers, I actually sometimes like drawing smut/ shibari and if I ever actually posted that online I'd tag the models I referenced... not even in a horny way but there's something wonderful I find in shibari or fetish stuff artists that they challenge you, in drawing in a pen and ink medium, to workshop how you adapt poses, musculature, lighting, all that stuff.
And I have a lot of superheroes.
When I was a kid, all the way up to about 17, I wanted to be a graphic novelist, make my own comics that were like just my teenaged brain firing off ideas I'd sponged up from a lot of X-Men and a LOT of Toonami. I didnt go on to become a comics artist, in fact, due to being discouraged by my dad and others (...but, well, my dad) I sort of came to the conclusion it was childish ("cute lil cartoons," they were derisively called) and let my gift atrophy. I drew nothing.
So in coming back to it, slowly over the last... ten years? Ive gotten back in to art.
It's not the same as it was. Sadly, it can't be, that fire I had when I was young was well. Stomped out.
So I cant make panels, and I struggle with transition and movement from one panel to the next to make a story flow, and sometimes it feels like I draw OTHER people's heroes like Spider-Man like I'm a fucking cover band at a dive bar playing KISS.
But I've still worked on it, and grown a lot over those last ten years, and found a peace in it that yeah, idk, maybe it isnt what I wanted to be when I was young but it's still art, dammit.
So yeah, sorry. Im wordy and it was complicated to answer but you kind of put a dime in and got me talking about it so. My sketchbook has lots of microliner ink drawing, some flowers and still life, some smut, some X-Men cover band stuff, just stuff I want to challenge myself to draw.
I'm also determined to experiment more with color like my copic markers this year so.
Video games I play are really a lot of single player open world stuff, Im currently grinding on um.
...fallout4 OKAY DONT JUDGE ME, I am of the specific brand of gamer that finds some peace and comfort in going back to Skyrim and Fallout from time to time...
I would love to get in to games with other people but I wouldnt know where to start, or what to pick up, frankly, but that is a kind offer and one I'd be interested in maybe perhaps at some point
I take it back... I did have a coop farm in Stardew Valley I played sorta multiplayer with my friend from CO but... our friendship sort of died off and we dont Stardew together anymore... fuck Im sad now.
